♇ if you have watched one of alyssa sharpe's videos, especially the future spouse videos on her tiktok, she said moon, juno or groom can convey and inform someone about their future spouse, but they're not strong enough, thus, the only thing that can talk about the wife and the husband is jupiter.

♇ there's many arguments that jupiter is only about the husband and the wife is venus, or that jupiter is not the sole indicator for the husband or future spouse, and i respect their perspectives, but this one specifically is my own, which is influenced by alyssa sharpe.

♇ i have gone through mostly 30+ couples, specifically celebrity couples and i have been able to identify that jupiter had almost correlated with all of their future spouse's big 6; and if their jupiter sign did not correlate within the signs in their spouse's big six, then it had meant that it likely connected with their ascendant, sun, moon or jupiter, specifically with conjunct aspects.

if anybody wants to do some casual "Putting MCC VODs On Archive Dot Org" here is a little wishlist

- technoblade! so far I have only found techno's mcc highlight videos saved on archive (in a large cache of all his videos); because of that there are no techno mcc vods on archive that I've found. he has 11 vods that need to go up (0/11)

- in general, because youtube streams appear less volatile than twitch vods, they tend to be saved to archive less. i would love someone to upload smallishbeans (3/26), ryguyrocky (6/15), and mcc pride 2021 (3/25) vods in particular, but any youtube stream is helpful

- the simmers are in pretty dire straits, probably because they're more on the outskirts of the mcyt community: vixella (0/9), kryticzeuz (2/19), james turner (0/8), drgluon (0/14)

- the captain himself has a very reliable vods channel but I'm a big believer in backups. he's currently at 7/32 - most of the needed vods are seasons 1 and 2

- niki nihachu has only 3/12 right now and she deserves better imo

- fwhip is sitting at a pretty 1/11 vods and could use a little help

- the admin stream is the single POV with the most vods! while im now uploading each new admin POV to archive, there's still two seasons' worth of noxcrew streams to put up there (6/37)

btw im not trying to force anybody to upload vods, this is more of a "hey if you want to do this, as of august 12 2023 there are 676 vods and 96 highlights videos that should be backed up to archive and heres a few places to start".

so im 99.999999% certain this is bullshit but i just came across an app called calmara which markets itself as a sexual wellness tool for women where you can send in a photo of your partner's genitals as a "peen check" to see if they have STIs.

im not sure if it only works on penises, but it apparently uses kind of AI algorithm to check for the STIs. apparently the algorithm can identify more than 10 STIs in 60 seconds with an accuracy of 96%.

again, 99.99999% that claim holds the same amount of water as a bone dry desert but im not a sex witch so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the app itself has ethical issues abound but im curious as to whether theres anything to that claim.

here's the thing:

even if we overlook that it's extremely weird for an app to ask for pictures of people's dicks and that that's just a shitshow re: privacy

and even if accept that this app can, somehow, successfully identify visible symptoms of sexually transmitted infections without being fooled by normal variations in genital appearance

we're still left with the fact that even low estimates hold that around half of all people with STIs have no symptoms, and that the genitals are not the only place that can be infected by many STIs. several common infections can be transmitted by having oral sex with someone with an infection in their mouth and/or throat. it sounds like this all is only going to catch the most egregiously visible genital warts or herpes sores, which you could likely notice yourself anyway.

so, you know. wildly incomplete information, certainly not useful enough to justify how dodgy to be collecting pictures of people's junk.

one of the really interesting implications of the showcase '96 brainiac and legion story that im only just wrapping my head around is the true extent of colu's relationship to tech stagnation. obviously a lot of this is spelled out with brainiac possessing coluan tech that querl recognizes from his own time:

slightly more subtle is the way the passage of the time itself seems to be affected:

the specific naming of 700 years is what gave me pause here--the sleepnet was not created in the 27th century as querl says, it must predate that by at least the 7 centuries it takes to get back to the 20th century setting of the showcase. i believe the implication here, then, is that there was more than just a technological stagnation but a time stagnation: colu literally stops keeping track of the passage of time, seals itself up in amber and pretends its still exactly where it was when this happened, the 20th century. that 700 years date can even stay intact, only in real time it refers to the 17th century (ie 300 years past from colu's current tech development, which stops in the 20th, querl is doing correct math but assuming that 'current' means the 30th).

colu is therefore a place out of time, staying the same as things pass by around it. querl is taken out of colu, placed back into normal time, not only becomes a time researcher at the time institute but a time traveler as a legionnaire. ultimately the place he goes back to in time is identical to the one he was taken out of, a colu at standstill. he says that 'only a time traveler would know about the sleepnet', but somewhat ironically, only a time traveler would know that colu has not been counting the years; querl only gets to know it because he is one and sees the mismatch between what time actually passed (1000 years) and what time passed for colu (none).

Rundown of my fucking awful day because delta airlines fucked me over for the second time this week:

Get to the airport in Maine for my rescheduled flight, everything is fine, get food and a coffee and sit around waiting for boarding.

Get scared by my app suddenly telling me my connecting flight is cancelled, but the computer at the desk says it’s fine and my mom checks the website and says it’s fine, I am assure it’s fine. So I (still scared) am just like well I guess all I can do is get on my flight and hope I don’t get stranded in New York.

The plane ride is only an hour and 40 minutes, nothing interesting.

Get low enough to the ground that I have service, wall of notifications comes in. I get a text message from the airline and a notification from the app.

My connecting flight is cancelled.

All delta flights from this airport are cancelled for the rest of the day. No reason is given. The weather is perfectly fucking fine.

I am stranded in NYC. I have been to NYC once when I was 13 years old on a school trip. I am alone. I have no friends or family anywhere near the state of New York. I have $96 in my checking and savings accounts combined. I begin to freak the fuck out and start crying and shaking in my seat.

Get off the plane while shaking and crying and trying not to throw up and sit down to call my mom. She was notified when my plane was in the air and has been on the phone the whole time. She got me on a flight at 10am tomorrow. And I need to see someone about getting a hotel voucher or something.

Ask an employee for help. She says sit down for a few minutes while she finishes something then. she’ll figure it out but 10 minutes later she just fucking Leaves. Also SCOLDS ME FOR THE FACT IM CRYING?????

Keep standing there shaking and trying to get an employees attention. A very nice couple tries to calm me down and see what they can do to help. Ultimately I’m told that they “don’t give hotel vouchers or services” (what the fuck) and I’ll just have to figure it out sorry have a nice day (aka get out of our face we don’t care.) call my mom and tell her to try figuring out a hotel because I’m fucking broke and in lots of places can’t book a hotel because I’m under 21. The husband of the couple gives me $40 to make sure I eat something and I shakily walk away to try and at least get my bag.

My mom books a hotel with a shuttle but the shuttle doesn’t start going until 5pm. It’s 3:25.

Get told my bag will be down in like 30-40 minutes. I sit there for an hour and a half. There was a fucking system error and the request at the desk to pull my bag from standby was never received. This time it actually goes through and it only takes 15 minutes.

Sit around crying for a bit then call the shuttle and wait outside in the heat to be picked up.

Currently in a tiny hotel in Queens eating mid ass Chinese food praying to anything that’ll fuckinf listen that I can finally just go HOME tomorrow morning. I miss my dogs and cats. I miss my bed.

hi anon! im so happy that you asked me hehe 💕💕 i have a whole guide for you! (more under the cut!)

so starting off with 5* weapons, i really recommend his bis/sotss (staff of the scarlet sands)! the 2nd stat for it’s crit rate and cyno gains 52% of his em as a bonus atk. i personally love this weapon and i recently got it for him :D it’s really good for him <3 

next, i heard that staff of homa is also good on him! it gives crit dmg and this weapon provides an atk bonus based on 0.8% of his max hp! 

but i personally like primordial jade winged-spear because i like my crit rate! for this weapon, every time cyno hits an opponent, his atk increases by 3.2% for 6 seconds. (this stacks 7 times i think) and if he gets the max stacks, his dmg will increase by 12%. 

(those are the best 5* weapons on him but if you have any other ones, feel free to spoil him with them!) 

now, for the others/f2p/4*! i won’t go in-depth because i don’t know much about them! 

deathmatch (bp/paid) - 2nd stat : crit rate. i bought this just for cyno when i got him last year (polearms and polearm users hate me so i didn’t have a good polearm) and it’s really good! the only downside is that it’s locked behind money and the base atk is rather low :( 

white tassel (chests) - 2nd stat : crit rate. a good choice, 48% dmg boost makes a large difference, especially if players are playing cyno in an aggravate team comp.

blackcliff pole (shop/paimon’s bargains) - 2nd stat : crit dmg. a fully refined blackcliff pole with a full-stack can perform as well as an r1 primordial jade winged-spear! good for cyno, but again, i really like my crit rate. (deathmatch >>> blackcliff pole imo) 

missive windspear (event) - 2nd stat : atk. within 10s after an elemental reaction is triggered, atk is increased by 24% and em is increased by 96 at r5! the em increase is really good too!

kitain cross spear (forgeable) -  2nd stat : em. this weapon will increase his elemental skill damage by 6%. it has an em sub-stat, which is really good if you’re using cyno in an elemental reaction team.

prototype starglitter (forgeable) -  2nd stat : er. it has an er sub-stat, which is great at helping cyno recover his elemental burst energy.

(i ranked all of them in order!)

moving onto artifacts!

i’m currently running a 4p thundering fury set on my cyno! it’s said to be the best set for him, it “increases dmg caused by overloaded, electro-charged, superconduct, and hyperbloom by 40%, and the dmg bonus conferred by aggravate is increased by 20%. when quicken or the aforementioned elemental reactions are triggered, elemental skill cd is decreased by 1s. can only occur once every 0.8s.” tl;dr:  the dmg increase via electro reactions really helps and the elemental skill cd makes his skill more spam-able during his ult!

i’m currently farming gilded dreams because i got told tat his bis/sotss is better with the set (i still use thundering fury tho!) i can’t explain gilded dreams to you because i don’t use it but it definitely has something to do with em! 4p is best when running hyperblume or aggravate!! 

4p gladiator’s finale is something i’ve seen many many people use! i’ve never tried it (maybe this is a sign i should?) but it does seem really strong!  “if the wielder of this artifact set uses a sword, claymore or polearm, increases their normal attack dmg by 35%.” to sum it up, 4p gladiator’s finale increases cyno’s normal attack dmg by 35%, even in his ult/burst!

some other things i’ve seen are 2p gilded dreams + 2p thundering fury, 2p gladiator finale + 2p shimenawa reminiscence, 2p thundering fury + 2p shimenawa reminiscence/gladiator’s finale, etc! feel free to mix and match them <3

lastly, artifact stats! 

main stats - for the sands, i suggest atk or em! (it usually depends on the set. i use an em sands because i use thundering fury and not gilded dreams!) for goblet,it would be suggested to use an electro dmg bonus goblet, and circlet a crit rate/dmg recommended. (circlet also depends on the weapon. eg, crit rate weapon usually would be paired with a crit dmg circlet, and so on.) 

sub stats - crit rate/dmg, elemental mastery, atk% i say cyno’s ideal em range would be 200 - 400! (i have around 300 right now!)

(to sum the artifacts up, it all depends on what comp you want to use him in/how you want to use him! i personally think thundering fury is more viable due to the strong box. i farm gilded dreams, then take all the bad ones to thundering fury’s strong box.)

here’s my cyno incase you want a reference (it’s really not the best &lt;/3)

tl;dr - staff of the scarlet sands, primordial jade winged-spear, and staff of homa are all really good on him! if you don’t have any 5 stars, white tassel, missive windspear, deathmatch and blackcliff pole are good replacements. his artifact sets are thundering fury or gilded dreams and em is a really good stat!

omg me posting a YEAR after leaving this place dead and abandoned!? no way :3

naurr um im using this as my personal not so personal diary because ive recently found old literature exams from middle school (9th grade) while dusting off my room and getting rid of a few things and ive realised how awful that teacher was ; only her of course!! literature is rather my strong subject aside from languages and arts and yet of my entire 12 years of school shes the only literature teacher id fail classes w ; fyi she was also my literature teacher in 7th grade too so it must be a problem w her :3

context!! that white woman was OBSESSED over east asians first of all and would treat them like teacher pet (her husband is also east asian im not saying anything) and she was rather racist and hostile towards north africans like me whatever u were of arab or amazigh decent and would purposely make us fail, idk why but she was pretty much always on my back, insulting me and putting me down, saying that it's just that im too lazy and stupid to success (i had undiagnosed adhd at that time too lol) and overall wanted me to fail really fucking bad by giving me the hardest homework and subjects to work on : once again please note, out of 12 years old school id only fail literature with her ONLY

ive been confused as to why is she only personally attacking me when other white kids had bad if not worse grades than i did yet shed just leave them but thats cause i didnt realise yet she was a racist bitch ahahaha

her bullying drained out every once of self esteem i had for myself and made me feel like shit for a very long time ; ive entered high school depressed thinking i should just give up but guess what!! i had the best grades in literature in my entire school. were talking highschool level.

ive seen your posts, and saying that radfems believe literally every single man ever is Wicked and Not Oppressed In Any Way (and therefore we completely disregard any other axis of oppression such as race, sexuality and class) is quite the strawman.

i have met some pretty dreadful women and girls and relatively decent boys. radfems do not believe men are intrinsically evil or other sex essentialist bs.. there is nuance in oppression as sex is not the only way to be oppressed, but even rich (in the few cases where its the women own money and not her husband/father/male relatives) western, white, straight, feminine women experience misogyny; in fact its literally the only way a woman so privileged can experience oppression, in the form rape (96% of rapists are men including men who rape men), domestic abuse, wage gap, glass ceiling, harassment at work, etc... all problems faced by women disportionately/solely, and who even the most oppressed man alive would not face, and when men face violence, it is mostly carried out onto them by men.

the majority of serial killers and rapists and domestic and animal abusers are overwhelmingly men and in a system and culture that protects violent men and fosters antisocial behaviour in men... (its almost like... a system of male violence?? caused by male socialisation and privileges under patriarchy that makes it easier for men to gather together and do deplorable things) and women face fgm and sexual violence and honour killings and are unwanted by their families and coerced into prostitution or forced to give birth its very clear to me that sex based oppression is real and affects our lives like a lot.

and being nicer to men wont fix any of these things.

and women and teenage girls who play in a 16 to 1 male dominated hobby have been sent letters with sperm in them and women have been shown to play less aggressively when they think theyre playing against a man online... idk suddenly it think its okay. to not include trans women in female only chess tournaments... its a 16:1 hobby there'd probably be a lot of them and usually these places want to include nonbinary people as well and then its just a queer space i suppose. so its not even those who id as women only anymore; then theres no place for young girls to play chess anymore.

I’m not mischaracterizing radical feminism at all, I’m afraid. The essentialism comes down to “all women victims, all men oppressors” whether it’s ever meant to or not. We see irl white women weaponize their sex and their race to oppress black men(who are seen as predators for being black and for being men).

The mere fact there is no framework and minimal sources and support group for the reformation of men is what currently makes it difficult-er to move forward. As bell hooks succinctly put it “in order to have loving men, we must love men.”

When we forget that the enemy is the patriarchy(the framework that puts men and women into seperate, distinct categories with rigid gender roles) and instead believe the root(as radical is meant to be used as in the terms of Radical Feminism) is men. We forget, brush over, ignore how women add into the patriarchal landscape by making patriarchal men and women.Yes, this is our work to do as well, even as females, as social women. To unpack and recognize how we may be contributing to this system of oppression. Misogyny is not solely a male problem, and it is everyone’s job to learn and teach how to unpack it.

Soulmate au snippet

Inspired by “He Will Always Say the Words” by MommyMayI on AO3 (specifically chp 3. Im gonna make things just a bit worse for Kallus. Why is he just so… whumpable?)

“That doesn’t mean anything.” Zeb was getting angry.

“Come on open your eyes and let’s show ‘em.” Zeb cajoled him.

Kallus kept his eyes firmly shut.

“Just open them and we can show them they are wrong.” Zeb roared.

Kallus would have jumped from his seat if he wasn’t bound to it. Despite his best efforts his body was now shaking.

His limbs felt like ice, the sensation creeping towards his center, before a sudden lurching pain from deep within caused him to vomit.

Kallus had just enough sense to turn his head towards the side before the burning bile in his throat could spill on himself.

He could vaguely hear the sounds of panic from the rebels ,as they no doubt flinched back in disgust, over the horrid sensations wracking his body currently. Every muscle in his was contracted, held taut, and beginning to burn with strain as the vomit just KEPT COMING. He’d had horrible hangovers and thought times from his ISB training with different substances but this was something else. Something deeper, more painful, and terrifyingly cold. It felt like something important was being expelled with each retch, something vital that he was sorry to lose.

He couldn’t help opening his eyes and saw that whatever was spilling out of him was not food, bile, or blood that he suspected. Whatever it was was black.

He couldn’t focus on everything the rebels were saying as their voices climbed in pitch with their panic. He could only make out the Jedi screaming “soul sickness” before losing his breath and consciousness. His eyes rolled back and faded to black just as he felt the lasat’s hand catch his face to try and turn him to face him.

Fic idea

Swap/dimension hop au

(Non-con elements)

Kallus and Zeb (and maybe some other rebels) from the canon dimension end up in an alternate universe where Kallus was always a rebel and Zeb was an Imperial lasat. One of FEW Xenos in the Imperial Navy due to his battle prowess (similar to Thrawn)

Kallus and Zeb are on the run from the Empire when Kallus is tripped up and falls behind. He combats with the Imperial Lasat thinking maybe this is the one from Onderon who ended up here instead of with Saw Gerrera

Kallus loses and is at the lasats mercy when the Lasat removes his helmet and it’s an alternate Zeb.

Kallus is devastated to see it.

Things get worse when Kallus notices how the Imperial Zeb is looking at him. Zeb from his dimension never looked at him that hungrily or cruelly.

He quickly forms a desperate plan. A way to live a little longer and distract from his allies’ escape. He thinks he knows what this Lasat likes and subtly ups his vulnerability and plays the right body language to entice without being too obvious.

The Imperial Zeb takes the bait and his prize. Kallus plays into it and dissociates: imaging HIS Zeb despite nothing ever happening between them or any sign of mutual attraction (as far as he knows) in their own dimension.

He imagines/laments another time and another place and does what his dimension taught him: hope

( it would probably just be a smutty snippet for no reason other than I saw the fan art of an Imperial Zeb and this idea wouldn’t leave me alone. Kallus will do anything at his own expense for the rebellion)

as for the list, i can definitely see mystique being one of the most powerful mutants in the franchise... SHE DESERVES THE SPOT! was rogue on that list?? b/c with her powers, she should be on there! i've noticed there's a lot of powerful female mutants but honestly?? good for them... storm's another one of my favorites that i forgot to mention in the previous asks!!

i AM a fan of the other marvel franchises! mainly the bigger mcu franchise definitely, but i'm also trying to get into daredevil + agents of shield :) i've seen the first two spider-man trilogy/duology (don't make me choose between them please LDJLAKFJLDKG) and now i'm giving comics a shot! :D they're expensive tho... it breaks my heart </3
