A (slightly angsty) domestic zukka hc I’ve been thinking abt a lot: I think Zuko would have a sort of knee-jerk flinching reaction when anybody touches his scar (with katara he looks like he’s bracing himself and with mai his whole upper body is sort of being held in place by her) (which i definitely think mai did on purpose to make him feel more comfortable but anyways) I think Sokka would after the first time figure out Zuko flinches hard even when he sees it coming and he’s The Plan Guy so I think he would secretly experiment and find out Zuko doesn’t flinch when sokka drags his hand from a different part of him (like his hair) onto his face. So he just starts doing that and it takes Zuko a stupid long amount of time to realize “hey Sokka touches my face a lot and it doesn’t suck. I wonder why🤨” until one day he figures it out like Sokka you sneaky shit you were nice to me and I didn’t notice

Bc the whole “zuko lets Sokka touch his scar bc he trusts him and he’s super normal abt it” is nice but it doesn’t feel realistic? You can trust someone a whole lot and still have instinctive trauma reactions. I think it’s much sweeter if Sokka notices and figures out a way to make it better without being asked.

you know what i really hate. when people try to pretend that the reason they don’t want fat people in ballet is anything other than preference.

it’s one thing to have people describe in great detail how ungraceful and ‘heavy’ fat people dancing ballet would be (and they’re always so adamant on the fact that this is an objective judgment and beauty standards have ‘nothing to do with it’ its just ‘obvious’), its another to have some fuckass default-icon user explain why it’s actually a health risk. how ‘pointes arent made to withstand that much weight’. how ‘their ankles would snap’.

YOU MASSIVE FUCKING MORON ANYONE WITH INSUFFICIENT ANKLE STRENGTH WOULD GET HURT. thats WHY kids need years of training before going on pointe!!!

fat people already carry around more weight than a skinny person and thus often have stronger muscles!! if a fat person is trained well enough so their ankles are strong enough to withstand their weight there is no fucking reason they would be more at risk than a skinny dancer!!!

you are all just hypocrites who like to pretend that a fat person on pointe is the biggest health risk the ballet community needs to be worried about than, oh, i don’t know, the rampant eating disorder culture for example! no but see thats fine and not a risk because they dont do that anymore and also theyre skinny so like clearly it’s not a health risk ^_^

no because why is ghost/konig so compelling like...I think their dynamic is so interesting and layered with how they mutually understand each other's reliance on the mask and how they can tap into this part of themselves that's just pure killing machine but how they're also both so diametrically different???

i seriously cannot wait to draw more of them interacting one-on-one. last part of the comic seriously opened the floodgates for konig when it comes to confronting his puzzling attraction to ghost and i can promise you drawing him getting absolutely destroyed is definitely on my to-do list.
