witching hour and all, shirahamas haloed by fluorescent dorm lights that are far too bright for drunk 20-something year olds. shut em off... shirahama obliges, but now its too damn dark to see, dumbass. feel their way around each other and the room, moonlight replacing haloes and complimenting kyoujis hair way too well. gonzaburou looses his hair, ruffling it out of his face. unsaid somethings, blearily looking at each other in dark moonlight, socks and clothes already strewn around a college boys dorm. maybe we just werent made for girlfriends or something, one of them laughs. climbing into bunked beds, tashiro staring at the ceiling and shirahama staring at the bottom of a bed. then what were we made for? one of them echoes.

Kyouji finishes up, smoothing hair and tying a stupid plastic bag around it, takes a picture just for blackmail, snickering the whole way. Pulls up the current girly game hes playing while they wait 30 or so minutes. Tashiro makes fun of every girl. Timer goes off, washing rituals ensue—“I’ll just take a shower??” “No you cant let the bleach run down your body idiot”—puts his head under the sink, gonzaburou doesnt think too hard about the gentle massaging on his head, instead focusing on trying not to let bleach get in his eyes. Kyouji tells him to turn around and bend backwards so they can wash the front of the head. Kyouji doesnt think too hard about seeing gonzaburou literally bent backwards, eyes squeezed shut so bleach doesn’t get in them, instead focusing on washing all the bleach out and thinking about what hair care he’ll have to let gonzaburou use. Shuts off the sink, playfully ruffles his hair with a towel before properly giving it to him. Perfect smooth gold, better than gonzaburou’s ever gotten on his own. “So? How’d i do?” Smug grin met with a shove in the shoulder. “Shut up”

Drunk after a mixer, i wish i was a giiirrrllll (a la fabiniku), share a stupid look because they always seem to know what the other is thinking. cheap drugstore lipstick and eyeshadow and blush, as if the alcohol didn’t make them flushed enough. Small college dorm room lit by moonlight because normal lights are always too bright for tashiro to adjust to. Turn on the tv for some semblance of sight, automatically turning on whatever game they were previously playing. Sitting on shirahama’s bottom bunk bed. Stupidly giggling because they know this is stupid and a dumb idea, but something in gonzaburo flutters again as eyeshadow and blush and lipstick get painted on by somehow steady hands. Not that the steadiness makes it necessarily good by any means. Gon-chan can’t stop laughing, so everything is taking thrice as long as it should to put on, stop laughing dude, i can’t put it on straight, full of giggles in his own right. Okay okay, waves his hands and makes a stupidly serious face that just makes them laugh more. Okay for real this time, schools his face into a gentle smile, easily painted by lipstick now, getting harder to smile as he feels Kyouji hands near his lips. Dont think about pink elephants, gon-chan. Okay done. Kyouji snaps the lid closed for emphasis and smiles at his work, illuminated by a half-finished girly game and soundtracked by its gentle music. Certainly not good work at all, but enough in the minds of tipsy 20-something year olds up past midnight. Can i do your hair? - Sure why not. Gon-chan turns around, letting kyouji pull his hair loose and comb through it with his fingers. He grabs brushes and hair pins and fashions it in a simple but cute style, letting gon-chan’s bangs loose in a way they usually aren’t. So. How do i look? Subdued playful energy as kyouji stares a little too long and too quiet. Oh ummm. Like a girl? Exaggerated shrug and averted eyes and lazy smile like it was a normal reaction that wasn’t ten seconds too late. Gets a laugh out of both of them at least. Sleepiness finally in the air as gon-chan says Your turn >:). A lot quieter this time around, gon-chan’s shaky hands kinda tickle kyouji’s face. Gon-chan can’t stop himself from laughing as he pulls away, her hands less steady and eyes less artsy, it looks like a caricature. Kyouji’s exasperated expressions don’t make it any less funny. Too bad your hairs not long enough to do much with. Oh wait wait wait, smiling too big, takes his old ponytail and pulls up kyouji’s hair straight up and ties it. Laughs even harder to where shes not even making sound anymore, just shaking hiccups that start to hurt. Infectious enough to where kyouji laughs a bit too, but ultimately tells gon-chan to calm down. Touching his shoulder and laying next to him. They’ve been so tired for a damn long time at this point, it’s a miracle they haven’t passed out. Gon-chan rolls over on his spot on the bed, ‘m just gonna. Sleep here. kay. Already out of it by the time kyouji even processes. Whatever. He’ll be self-conscious about it in the morning.

Ruff drops out, she maybe could’ve kept going but she’s doing soooo bad mentally chat . It’s not good <3 I love when. One twin’s life gets better and the other’s plummets but they’re so “package deal” brained that the idea of them becoming distant in any way is really fucking with both of them. But basickahlee Tuff n Snotlout start unofficially dating but it’s like weird and secret bc Snotlout is like still working things out in his brain and stuff and also Tuffnut is scared of his sister finding out in case she tries to push a “well share him!” thing that she’s done before. Her polyamorous swag vs his scared-of-her virgin aura! Astrid and Hiccup r dating fucking obviously but also they’re learning that actually you do need to like work on a relationship to maintain it, both of them are very busy ppl so like . “You never have time for me when I miss you” thing happening both ways but aLSOO Astrid is sooo bad at talking abt it. He would be in highschool but he doesn’t ever go in and his family doesn’t rllyyy care, he lingers around Snotlout (and subsequently tuffnut) or dagur most of the time. Astrid tries to be a mother figure to him, it doesn’t work, he’s scared of her. He kind of subconsciously sees Ruff as a mother figure? Bc she ignores and neglects him, sometimes she’s mean to him, reminds him of his real family. I think ruff hates him bc he reminds her a lot of her when she was younger (tramgender) and also bc he clearly wants her attention in a “you’re like my mom” way (although again it’s subconscious for him) and she hatesssss thatttt.

I'm so bad at putting together good outfits I literally wear like the same rotation of like 5 articles of clothing or 2 fancier outfits :sob: I have like three to four pairs of pants that I rotate wearing and like a few shirts that I wear. I am very bad at style or clothing choices. I guess like the most significant thing is that I customize a lot of my clothing??? Like my bitb and other jrwi shirt I both made myself, I have another shirt that I embroidered a design on, and my two sweatshirts I customized but that's really the entire secret. I just make my clothes look cool myself and then they become a Safe Item(TM) and I wear it constantly. Like I probably wear my jrwi/bitb shirt at least once a week (I had to stop myself from wearing the jrwi shirt today bc im like I need to do a new outfit).

Like my main two outfits that I enjoy wearing is my cargo pants + either my bleached bitb shirt or my other jrwi shirt. And I wear that whenever possible. I just wear whatever is comfortable imma be so fr :sob: and those are my most comfortable items. Plus my patch sweatshirt. It's really just 90% of stuff that I've customized myself.

ok time to talk about my fav agent ships bcuz i am v normal (also i am a multishipper so i like a lot of stuff)

First off: 4 x 8!!!! my beloveds!!! and they were roommates! i see this sort of a mirror of pearlina in a way since 4 would show 8 around and 4 is also a chaos gremlin(but more competent than pearl in a lot of ways). and 8 rlly looks up to marina i think(pearl too ofc) and i like the idea of marina teasing her like "wow u also have a short squid gf?". also just like.. their dynamic is so everything to me. both of them are so gender like 4 is a boy who is kind of a girl. and 8 is a girl who is kind of a boy. do you see my vision? they are made for each other. and i can see them being like pearlina but in a new era since 8 doesnt have to worry about telling 4 shes an octoling. so both of them can get to know each other and share their cultures in a way that pearl and marina couldnt up until post octo expansion. just like THE PARALLELS OK???? and i dont just like them cuz i also like pearlina. i like them for their own unique dynamic. they just fit together so well. i think they compliment each others strengths and weaknesses while also not being so different that they cant get along.

next: 3 x neo 3. i thought 4 x 8 was underrated... but this??? ig its just cuz 3 has more popular ships and neo 3 is so new. i know a lot of ppl view them more as a mentor situation w neo 3 being much younger. but in my mind i just cannot picture the agents hanging out w 3, 8, and 4 all being late teens/early 20s and then just..... 16 yo neo 3.. it does work sometimes if u view them as like a younger sibling or just the younger one of the group. or even just like.. there. i can see them as an apprenitce of sorts to 3. and thats cool and all but since im not that young and i project on my agents when i play as them in my mind neo 3 is in the 17-19 range. but i see them as 18 specifically. so 18 yo neo 3 and 21 yo 3. and in my mind 3 is kinda silly(have u seen them in splat1?) but trying to be professional and takes a look at neo 3 w all their terrible looking ripped up clothes and questionable hygiene and scavenger swag and goes "how could i not be attracted to that?". and 3 tries not to show it cuz like.. this is their new recruit??? and yet 3 finds themselves going easy on neo 3 andbeing rlly sweet. and callie or marie catches on and probably teases them about it in private. and callie tries to play matchmaker or see if neo 3 likes 3. and on the other end..... neo 3 is probably distracted when they first meet 3. but when they are taking a break at the camp hanging out w lil buddy they finally notice 3. and neo 3 finally takes a look at them. and its like?? not love at first sight like it was w 3. but neo 3 likes them. no offense to agents 1 and 2, but neo 3 immediately lowkey distrusted them since they looked too "pristine" if that makes any sense? so neo 3 sees 3 and is like!!! !!!!! this is my new bestie!!!! and starts becoming attached to 3. and so neo 3 comes to bother 3 at their seat and talk to them and 3 gets so flustered but doesnt show it and only 1 and 2 can tell. and they continue to poke fun at 3. and lowkey try to hint to neo 3. but neo 3 is a brick wall when it comes to sublety. but then eventually they realize they like 3. so they gather a bunch of cool rocks and shiny things off the floor and walk up to 3 and go "here take this and also please be my partner" and 3 is so in love. and they flirt constantly and both of them hate taking showers and have to be reminded to . and also little buddy is their new child (jokingly. i see lil buddy as neo 3s younger sibling) i can see neo 3 coming up to 3 and flirting w them and 3 flirting back and them getting distracted and aro marie coming in to jokingy make fun of them and tell them to get back to work. and when the rest of the agents meet neo 3 they would jokingly get mad that neo 3 gets special treatment from 3.

anyway.... also 3 x 4 x 8 x neo 3..... it is a top tier poly ship. all of them. i think 3, 4, and 8 would get to know each other and date after octo expansion takes place. and then when 3 has to deal w splat 3s story mode they meet neo 3 and fall in love and they meet back up w 4 and 8 and is like yooo..... uhh... what if i just.... expanded the polycule? and the other 2 were like ur literally so swagless (but we love u) how did u do that? and then 3 brings out neo 3 and the other are just like.... oh god theres another one. anyway i think they would get along w neo 3 too and maybe end up dating them as well

ALS MY MOST OBSCURE SHIP YET 4 x neo 3. this one is so good, like both of them are chaotic and goofy. yet 4 is a nerd and neo 3 is probably a war criminal. so like.. opposite sides of the insanity spectrum. they would hang out and neo 3 would ask how bombs are made and 4 would explain it thinking its just curiousity and then look over to see neo 3 contrusting a bomb out of everything around them. and its not like neo 3 is dumb. they are also smart just like.. not in a geeky book smarts way like 4 probably is. more like ... idk how to describe it but different? anyway their dynamic would be SO good. you just have to trust me on this.

for so long i could not figure out why i ended up liking gale so much, especially bc i was so sure initially i was going to hate him. early game i was really annoyed with having to give him magic items (i only had a couple and had no idea what i was getting into with this game, so i wasnt sure how common magic items would be and how long id need to do this) and just considered letting him leave.

around the time his mystra plot popped up i was like, okay, sure, he can stay, i guess.

by the end of my first game he was in my top three favorite companions. (karlach and jaheira being the other two. lae'zel comes fourth.)

and i sat there like. im not attracted to him. i still do find him annoyingly pretentious at times. he isnt a hot crazy woman, which is who i usually flock to. i think his hubris in the face of his god is pretty cool, but lae'zel does that too, and angrier even.

and then i saw someone comment 'gender' under a gif of gale and it was like okay yeah okay goddammit okay.

Sorry if I’m getting a little obsessed with yall, but I just wanted to tell you how much your art has been helping me. well, I’ve had a rough few days, gender-wise and self-image-wise, and earlier I caught my reflection, but instead of thinking “I hate myself” again, I just thought “oh hey I kind of look like those gorgeous guys on the Drill Teeth Art blog.” (And SO gorgeous, like your art is so cool and pretty and expressive that it can get me invested in characters from a show that I’ve never even seen (granted they ARE giant robots which is pretty sick no mater how much of the lore you understand)), anyway, Idk if you remember, but I’m the guy who wrote that ask about you being a fellow fat/trans/gay Orin truther, but idk if I mentioned that what got me to become a fat/trans/gay orin truther is that I am fat and trans and gay and Im playing him in my HS production of Little Shop, and seeing your art made me so happy, and I think it’s cause It taught me that my version of Orin wasn’t just an exception made in leu of the “ideal” thin cis actor’s portrayal, and that like, **I** can be the ideal, if that makes sense. a few WuWa thoughts! these are just my opinion, + they'll be under the cut cause it got kind of long.

I'll start with pros:

It's gorgeous like the character models, the landscape etc. It's genuinely so cool to look at. the colours are really calming on the eyes as well, like the muted tones

On that topic: all the character designs i've seen are amazing. love them sm

The enemy design is *chef's kiss* they are literally so cool im gonna cry. it kinda reminds me in a weird way of elden ring?? i refuse to elaborate but my brain is connecting dots.

I love the echo system. It's a little confusing (i'll talk about it later) but having them be an active part of the combat system is really really interesting + anything that lets me turn into a monster is so swag

The music is super calming i wanna listen to it forever. Especially the Jinzhou city theme. eating it rn

A few drawbacks:

It's been kind of buggy. Ik there's been a hotfix by the time of this post, but there were moments were textures wouldn't load, dialogue is mixed up etc etc. Personally, my game crashed twice in one playthrough and that's a bit Eh, y'know?

The music mixing is strange. In some cutscenes the background music is wayyy too loud, even though I set the volume to have the voices being the highest value. The Scar lamb cutscene is a good example cause i could barely hear what he was saying

I love the echo system, but it is very convoluted. From what i can tell (unless i missed something, in which case it's entierly on me), you get echoes from fighting overworld enemies, but the stats are still up to rng which feels Weird. It means that instead of having a set 'here you can farm these types of echoes here' you need to run around trying to find them. for some people this might be fine, but it feels a bit messy to me. EDIT: The Tacet Fields seem to be the 'echo' domain, so I may be stupid? Wouldn't be the first time lmao???

the story isn't the best? Ik it's early game and i have high hopes but for me, as someone who wants to experience a story, it's been kind of lackluster? Similarly, none of the characters i've met are particularly interesting to me? I want to think they'll grow on me.

This one is fully just a personal thing. I'm not saying WuWa needs to catar to me specifically: there is a clear gender bias. From the get-go, almost all the characters i've met in the story have been female. If i picked female rover, Mortefi + Jiyan would have been the only guys in the narrative so far. That's a little insane

60 waveplates for everything so far is Weird. like I feel as though the tacet fields should be 40?? is this just me that is weirded out by this???

I know everyone is saying this + i want to stress that this isn't a 'haha wuwa is a genshin clone genshin could never hahaha' cause like to me this is a two cakes situation. However: WuWa has taken quite a bit of inspiration from genshin and it shows. To me, that isn't a good thing? obviously these types of openworld gacha games have like the same functions but so far the UI - including how the dialogue looks, the main menu, how the PP is set out etc etc - is incredibly reminiscent of genshin/star rail.

i know it seems like there's more cons, but that's mostly cause i felt the need to explain myself jfsdnkj i'm still going to be playing, i'm excited to see what it does + the story.

I've mentioned this above as well but: to me this is a 'holy shit! two cakes!' scenario. I'm not going to drop genshin just cause wuwa is the shiny new thing on the scene. Don't comment on this with genshin hate. all it will do it annoy me

I've had a couple of requests for a masc MC! In one of them, masc!MC is petite but can throw people across the room and I just imagined Beel being so impressed that MC was able to even lift him, let alone throw him. There was another one where a fem!MC disguised themselves by dressing up as a guy and that got Beel all flustered too lol.

I know I mostly write gender neutral MC, but I also enjoy writing a more specific gender expression for MC when people request it!

I think Beel would be a little shy at first when encountering a masc!MC. I haven't actually seen Breaking Bad (I know, it's a terrible character flaw of mine), but I am picturing the images of Jesse Pinkman that I've seen lol. And I think Beel would be like oh... MC is really cool. Too cool for me. (Whether or not MC is cool in this case is irrelevant because Beel would think so.)

And then if masc!MC flirts with him? Oh wow. He's a blushing mess almost immediately.

MC: Hey there, hot stuff.

Beel: Oh. *blushing profusely* Do you... mean me?

He'd be almost confused at first. There's no way MC actually thinks he's hot, right??

You might have to flirt with him even harder just to get the message across. Even if you guys end up in a relationship and he manages to calm down a little, you fluster him regularly any time you get flirty or touchy with him.

Yeah, I definitely think Beel would just be a sweet shy boy with a masc!MC. He's so precious and it'd be so cute.
