Great Room - the spare room usually adjacent to the living room, typically where the foyer enters into.

There was a lot you couldn’t tell your family. How your husbands were actually ethereal beings well over six thousand years old, how Aziraphale found a miracle that would help you to live forever alongside them, or how Crowley was the serpent they so often cursed in Sunday Service. But there was one thing you made crystal-fucking-clear, your name and gender identity. You came out as non-binary almost four years ago, telling your family how you wanted them to refer to you in only neutral terms.

You had met Aziraphale and Crowley a year after that, marrying them in secret two years later, just the past spring. Crowley had told you how they used all pronouns, so your favorite pastime was to call him your wife when using he/him pronouns. Aziraphale told you that he preferred he/him but wasn’t opposed to they/them if it was to put a bigot in place. That if he chose to present as a woman again for the first time in thousands of years then he would update such choices. Just a small family the three of you were.

Meeting them had been perfect for your mental health, you weren’t ready to date anyone, and a rainy day led to you stepping into the red and gold bookshop, with plants scattered about, books older than time itself, an angel and a demon running it. And they took you in without a second thought.

“Darling, you seem lost in thought,” Aziraphale broke you from your thoughts, your bottom lip sore from chewing it in stress. “What is it that troubles you?” You looked at him in the rear view mirror, smiling softly as you felt Crowley’s hand on your thigh.

“Just nervous, and feeling bad. I want to tell them about us, all three of us, and yet I’m too scared…” your family wasn’t the most open to anything outside of heteronormative, including polyamory unfortunately, leaving Aziraphale to be the “best friend/co-worker”, he had actually volunteered the title, saying it would look better for Crowley to be your husband since he appeared closer to your age than the white haired Angel did.

“Don’t fret, I know it’s not ideal, but we can pretend for one night.” Aziraphale reassured, his blue eyes seeming brighter despite the dim light in the Bentley.

“We’re here, love.” Crowley said, parking behind your uncle’s familar white SUV. “You two ready?” You looked over to Crowley and nodded, unbuckling and turning back in your seat to give Aziraphale his final kiss of the night.

Immediately you wanted to slink back into the Bentley when you heard a chorus of your deadname being yelled through the house, directing Aziraphale to the dessert table to place the Eccles cake while you set down the ancient wine bottle with the other drinks.

“This is Anthony,” you introduced your husband to your family, he was dressed in their gray button up with his red tie, black blazer and slacks. “And this is our dearest friend Azira.” Aziraphale was done up in his usual outfit except he traded out the faded waistcoat for a newer one.

“What a pity we couldn’t attend the wedding, but I suppose (s)he’s always done things his/her own way.” Your mom said, feigning innocence as your hand tightened on Crowley’s.

“Ah, yes, I suppose that’s what drew me to them. Their fierce determination.” Crowley glared slightly, a faux grin on her lips as they enunciated your pronouns. That was how the night would continue, both Crowley and Aziraphale determinedly trying to correct your family through their own speech.

“That’s it!” Aziraphale was the first to snap, seeing tears in your eyes as he sat across from you at the dining table, luckily the children were eating in the great room, the tv playing football flickered at his outburst. “I have absolutely had it with you lot misgendering them! They told you four years ago that they preferred gender neutral terms and informed you of their very legal name change, what is so hard to accept?”

When your mom went to speak, Crowley interrupted. “Nope, wrong answer there, see it’s not that hard, maybe in the beginning, to adjust, to try. But you lot never tried, did you? Instead our partner here is almost in tears, they were stressed about even coming, but unlike you all, they value you. And yes, I said our partner. Azira is not just a friend, in fact he’s as much their husband as I am.” Crowley rose from her chair and offered you their hand, which you gratefully took, letting him guide you out of the house with Aziraphale following behind you.

“I’m sorry, that was improper and I know that-” Aziraphale stammered out, feeling like he messed up but being cut off when you suddenly hugged him, laughing softly against his shoulder.

“Don’t you dare apologize, did you see their faces? That was so worth it, I have you two, and we’re a big enough family for me.” Aziraphale hugged you back tightly and kissed the side of your head, you felt Crowley press against your back, joining your hug and kissing Aziraphale.

Polyamory in SWTOR?

Performing a high-risk experiment in my current SWTOR playthrough. Romanced Koth in KOTFE/ET because I've never done it before, and I love him, and I wanted to see his Date Night (which is really great). But then got to the end of ET and though about how *little* content Koth gets after that point. He *may* get more in coming updates, since they got Ike Amadi in the booth for Date Night. But it's still so little. Meanwhile you know who's gotten a lot of screentime lately and I've also never romanced? Arcann. And I actually really like the paralels between my Jedi Knight's arc and Arcann's. But am I really gonna dump Koth for him? That doesn't seem great. Then I had a thought. You... don't have to actually do the "Things Left Unsaid" quest that leads to a character breaking up with you if you get with someone else. What if I just... date Arcann *and* Koth. And I was very unsure if this would work. I don't know how the flags work in SWTOR - would Arcann's romance flag override Koth's anyway even if I didn't do the mission? But I was curious, and it seemed like a decent risk. So I started Arcann's romance, and untracked Things Left Unsaid, and went forward waiting to see what happened. And so far, just before starting Jedi Under Seige... it seems like it's working. I received Koth's post-Umbara romance letter, *and* saw Arcann's romance scene pre-Nathema. And Arcann's Date Night is available as well. We'll have to see if I get Koth's romance scene in Hearts and Minds but I'm feeling confident. Very happy to get my extremely unintended form of polyamory. If anyone at Broadsword sees this, please don't fix this. Or make the fix just *enabling* dating everyone for real.

A/N: Thanks to the few ppl that have decided to support this fic. Ik it's not what most look for in fanfiction but I rlly do appreciate it. I rlly enjoy writing this fic.

Chiyo awoke with a yawn, eyes cracking open and limbs stretching. The kitsune arose, stepping out of her makeshift nest to get ready. She hummed to herself as she grabbed fresh clothes for the day and a towel before making her way to the family sentō.

She scrolled on her phone, looking for the perfect music to play for her bath. Stepping into the room, she picked a simple lofi playlist to listen to. Booting up her bluetooth speaker, she chose the playlist and set the items down, the room soon filling with soft notes and a beautiful melody.

Making her way to the water, Chiyo set her hand ablaze before sticking it into the water in an attempt to heat the water up even more despite it already being steaming. What Chiyo didn't notice, was a certain slider slipping into the room, taking off everything before diving into the water. It was a bit hotter than what he was used to but a few seconds later and he was adjusted to it.

He watched through the steam as the black furred kitsune undid her robe, letting it fall and expose her naked body. His eyes widened slightly but he tried not to think much of it. This was probably normal for her right? No need for him to make it weird.

Chiyo made her way to the steps before slowly sliding into the water. She moaned in relaxation as the hot water lapped at her bare flesh before dipping her hair down to soak it completely. Leo decided to test his luck some, swimming up in front of the woman and popping up into view.

"Yes Leo?" The woman asked, fingers reaching for some lotion. Leo watched her as she opened the bottle, squirting a little bit onto her hands before rubbing her pals together and spreading it on her face. Leo swam closer. "What's that?" He asked, looking at the lotion. Chiyo smiled softly as she spread the substance over her skin. "Just lotion". She replied and Leo picked up the bottle. "It's eucalyptus and lavender scented". Chiyo added and Leo looked up at her.

"Want some?" She asked and Leo nodded excitedly. He expected her to put some in his hand when she took the bottle back but instead she poured more into her own hands, rubbing them together once more before beckoning him closer. Leo hesitated for a moment before swimming closer, the two of them practically being chest to chest. "You can touch me, you know. I promise I don't bite". Chiyo purred out, a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips as she began to spread the lotion on Leo's face.

Leo reached forward, cautiously wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer so their stomachs touched. "No but I do". Leo said in a joking tone as he rested his chin on the top of Chiyo's breasts, relaxing into the cool feeling of the lotion being spread on his face while the hot water of the sentō hugged his body. Chiyo raised a brow at him, momentarily pausing her actions, before starting them again.

Before long, Leo had relaxed his way into Chiyo's embrace, nuzzling into her chest and churring away. Chiyo couldn't find the heart to move him so she allowed him to cling onto her and rest as she continued to trace the features of his face. "And what do we have here?" Another voice cut through the atmosphere. Chiyo looked up to see Donnie with his arms crossed.

"He wanted lotion on his face and I guess he was really enjoying himself because now I'm stuck". Chiyo explained. Leo whined, no longer feeling her fingertips on his face. The woman rolled her eyes, lifting her hands to trace his features once more. "Oh you big baby". She giggled out before looking up at Donnie. "I hope this doesn't cross any boundaries". She said softly and Donnie shrugged his shoulders.

"Would you like to join in? The waters still warm and I'm sure Leo wouldn't complain about having the company of his twin". She added on. Donnie raised a brow and looked down at the woman. "You're being... uncharacteristically soft". He said, tone almost accusatory, causing the kitsune to narrow her eyes at him. "Donatello just get in the damn bath". She hissed, annoyed with the soft shell turtle already as she flicked her tail in an attempt to get water on him.

Donnie yelped and jumped back. "Do not get water on my tech!" He snapped and Chiyo instantly brought a finger to her lips in a shushing moment before motioning to the turtle still glued to her chest. Leo seemed to very much be asleep, either that or completely blissed out from the affection he was receiving. Donnie grumbled as he felt jealously seep into his veins.

"What's the matter, Donnie? Jealous?" Chiyo teased and Donnie felt his face flush. "He's my brother. Why would I be jealous?" He retorted and Chiyo shrugged. "I don't know. But I have noticed that the two of you are," she paused to tilt her head and give a sort of look, "close. That's for sure". She grinned mischievously before returning her attention to the resting Leo still glued to her body.

Donnie slipped into the hot water after a few minutes, enjoying the feeling the heat brought him before swimming over in the direction of his floating brother. "Wow he is out". Donnie muttered and Chiyo chuckled softly. "Yeah I've been stuck like this for a bit". She giggled out. Donnie turned to look at her, vaguely registering that she was completely naked under the steamy waters.

"Hi..." She breathed out, smiling softly. "Hey". He said back gently. "How have you been?" She asked and Donnie couldn't help but chuckle. "Are we really about to make small talk in the bathhouse?" He asked and Chiyo giggled. "You make it sound like we're about to kiss or something". She said casually. Donnie smiled nervously. Why was he so jittery around her all of a sudden?

All softness was cut short by a shrill shriek being ripped out of Chiyo's throat. Leo had woken up and was apparently cranky that he had stopped getting attention because he sank his teeth into the top of Chiyo's left breast. Jerking back, she stumbled back into Donnie, who caught her in his arms.

"Leonardo!" She exclaimed, not registering that her back was in full contact with Donnie's plastron. But Donnie noticed. He noticed the warmth from her body, noticed the way the water rolled down her neck and shoulders, noticed how she currently smelled like lotion and Leo. "Told you I bite". The turtle said simply with a shrug. Chiyo grumbled, rubbing her chest as she glared at Leo.

"You could have just asked me to continue". She grumbled. Leo smirked, swimming closer to her. If she hasn't been plastered to Donnie before hand, she certainly was now. "Why should I have to ask? You should just know". He taunted, pressing his chest against the kitsunes once more. "Oh hey Donnie". Leo said, leaning in closer to his twin, causing Donnie to flush and jerk back. "Leo..." His tone was low, warning. Not here. Was what it said.

Leo sighed and pushed back, laughing when he saw Chiyo's face once more. "Oh shit! Someone's all red". He snickered, causing Chiyo to shake her head and glare. "You essentially just put me in a hot turtle sandwich! Yes I'm red!" She squeaked out in an exasperated manner, moving forward to give Donnie room to move how he wish, an apologetic smile flashed his way before she swam off once more.

Leo shot his brother a mischievous look. "Oh you think we're hot, huh?" Leo asked and the woman shot him a glare. "That is not what I meant and you know it!" She protested. Donnie had seemed to pick up on Leo's wish for mischief and he decided to indulge him. "There was little context to give what you meant actually". Donnie piped in and Chiyo immediately growled, sending a 'i fucking hate you' look.

The twins rounded on the woman, teaming up in a mission to reduce her to pile of jumbled nerves. Leo got close, rubbing the bite on her chest with his knuckle. "Look at that. Marks already turning red. Maybe my brother should add a matching one". He cooed, smirking down at the woman. Donnie came up beside his brother, hand lifting out of the water to trace patterns on the top of the other breast. "Brother you know I'm not typically one to mark. I prefer claiming my stake in other ways". He said, hand snaking up to the woman's throat.

Chiyo's pupils dilated and her breath hitched as she felt Donnie's grip on her throat tighten. "Like with collars". He purred out, somewhat enjoying the view of the flustered kitsune in front of him. Donnie hummed as he felt Leo's arms wrap around his waist, a kiss being pressed against his shell. "I'm very aware". He purred out. "And what exactly is going on here?"

Everybody snapped to see April, her arms crossed and expression stern. "April!" Chiyo called out, somewhat flailing in the water before finding her footing and making her way over to the other woman. "Help me, holy shit. I swear they're on a mission to embarrass me to death!" Chiyo whines out, ears pinned back in faux distress.

April looked up to glare at her boys. Donnie pointed at Leo and Leo just smirked and shrugged. A whole conversation seeming to be have had without any words at all. Leo pouted at April, silently asking her to join in on the fun. April just sighed, crouching down to Chiyo's level. "I'm so sorry about them". April said finally. Chiyo seemed to relax at April's soothing words.

April took this chance to slip her hand under the kitsunes jaw, tilting it up and gently lifting Chiyo out of the water slightly. "But in their defense, you are quite easily flustered". She said, smirking down at the poor woman as she swiped her thumb over her bottom lip.

Chiyo stared up at her old college friend in shock before smirking. Oh so she wanted to play? Chiyo gripped the other woman's wrist, turning her head to kiss April's palm, looking up at her through her wet lashes. "I'd like to take this time to remind you how much stronger I am than you". She purred out.

"Aaaaaand fun times over". April squeaked out, laughing nervously and backing up. "I am not getting this new shirt soaking wet". Leo huffed in irritation while Chiyo laughed, turning around to flip both of the men off. Leo looked the woman over and briefly raised his brows at her. "Nice tits". Was all he said, causing Chiyo to sink back down into the water until it reached her neck.

"Fucking asshole". She muttered, huffing and looking away as tears pricked the corners of her eyes. Donnie sighed softly, nudging at Leo and jerking his head her direction. Leo glared but a gentle tug to his tail and a firm look from Donnie and Leo softened, groaning lowly before making his way to Chiyo.

Chiyo had taken to sitting on one of the underwater ledges that acted as a chair. "Hey". Leo said softly as he stood in front of Chiyo. Chiyo softly glared up at him, eyes still watery. "Did I upset you?" He asked gently. Chiyo pressed her lips into a line before shrugging. "More so just overstimulate". She admitted, sighing softly. The others shared glances before collectively making their way to Leo's room. They all peered in. "Is that a damn fort?" April asked in jealousy.

Within the confines of Leo's room, a blanket fort had been built. And in the middle of it, safely cozied up, were three people. Chiyo, with all nine of her tails out, laying on her back with her hair haloed around her head. Leo and Donnie were on top of the numerous tails as if they were pillows, both of them curled up in her sides. Leo being on the left with his head nuzzled into her neck and an arm thrown over her waist meanwhile Donnie was on the right side, his fingers gripping Leo's as he kept his head more so on the woman's shoulder as the three of the slept. A mostly empty pizza box sat above their heads, most likely the culprit of their sleepiness.

"This is the cutest thing I've ever seen, Mikey get a camera". Stellara softly hissed, gently tapping at Mikey with soft urgency. They all giggled as Mikey took several photos.

Schemes were contemplated but everybody instantly held their breath when the three figures started to stir. There was some soft complaining and a little whining, followed by some hushing and a noise that sounded like Leo's voice being muffled under a pillow. When the others peered into the fort once more, all that was seen was the three even more tightly entangled than before.

i don’t have much to show for it but hear me out

so. we know several guards died, and orym speaks of them very highly. but he always puts emphasis on the multiple i.e. “the best people i knew” “several of ours”. he always ties them (multiple) back to himself, but he also uses the word ‘we’ a lot when he could just say ‘i’. his insistence on using ‘we’ makes me think it’s habitual for him to say it, like he’s used to being part of a collective rather than an individual. it’s very deliberate language. 

his grief and loss feels massive, too, like the ocean or the sky is just below the surface of him. not to say that losing one partner isn’t incredibly difficult, but i mean that he understands what a loss there was in his community and how many lives and people were affected, multiple families losing children and siblings. that alludes to the fact that multiple guards did died but idk y’all there’s something about the magnitude which orym holds all of this that makes me think he lost everyone he could’ve possibly turned to in wake of a partner dying, perhaps another partner

i don’t know much about zephran society but with the concept of things like the zeph’aeratam, that indicates to me a lot of time spent focused on the job. young guards could spend a lot of time together and end up in love, and then they stay on the job together until something tears them apart. this is a lot of word vomit but i swear to god there’s something there.

9. love triangle

Oh love triangles. 

I’m going to be honest, I don’t understand traditional love triangles anymore. Once I was introduced to Polyamory as a concept, I just didn’t understand them, so… how about instead of writing about a love triangle, we write about a triad. 

Which triad? Oh which triad? There are so many to choose from! Merwaincelots, I’m saving something up for Merwaincelot week. I want to talk about Merwencelot. 

Gods I love Merwencelot. The three of them standing together before Lancelot’s little knight’s trial? It means everything to me! Their little interactions as Gwen is getting ready to make him a little knight’s outfit?! Lancelot asking Merlin if they’re together! I can’t stand it! I could burst with my love for this triad.

Ik, Arthur is supposed to be Gwen’s great love or whatever, but never once in my life have I cared about what is canon less than I do about Arthur’s canon. 

Gwen brushes on both Merlin and Lancelot canonically. Lancelot crushes on Gwen canonically. If you want a love triangle, how about Lancelot and Gwen are Together and pining for Merlin. How about Gwen and Lancelot sitting together and talking about how they got together, reminiscing a year or so later (nothing bad happened, Lancelot became a knight and never left Camelot), and Lancelot is like “yeah, lol, I thought you and Merlin were together when we first met, but when I asked he said no.” And Gwen is like “I only wish we had been together. Tbh, I still fancy him. Just a bit.” Because they have the secure sort of relationship where she can say that and Lancelot would not freak out about it because he’s a Genuinely Good Guy. 

And Lancelot’s like, “Actually, kind of same.” 

And then they have this little secret shared between them about how they both have a little crush on Merlin, and Merlin is absolutely oblivious. They start leaving him little gifts, and he things “aww, my friends are so nice.” And they’re like, “… yes. We are so nice.” And they do not correct him because they are his friends and they are nice.

And Merlin never develops feelings for them, because aro, but he does love them a whole lot, and so he just… moves in with them one day. “Are you sure I’m not imposing?” 

“No, never!” They both say, and they are so so so happy! Gwen and Lancelot are married at this point, obviously, and he’s their housemate/bestfriend/secret crush. What could go wrong? 

And nothing goes wrong, really. Merlin is happy to be so near his friends. He does magically openly in their home without fear of being walked in on at any point. He sleeps in a separate bed for a while and then the winter gets really really bad and Lancelot very gallantly offers to sleep in the middle of the bed so Merlin can share their warmth (as though this is any real hardship to him or his wife). 

Merlin gratefully accepts because warming spells only last while he is awake and it is freaking cold!

Merlin curls up with his back against Lancelot and when he starts snoring Gwen and Lancelot share one soft kiss because they’re just so glad that he is close to them.

They share the bed for a couple more nights through harsh winters and Lancelot wakes up with Merlin curled around him on the third morning. Gwen giggles about it and Lancelot and Merlin are both blushing, but it’s goodnatured embarrassment. It’s pretty clear that it’s not that big of a deal for Lancelot when they go about the morning and nothing has really changed except sometimes Lancelot smiles a little brighter and Merlin relaxes and doesn’t worry about it and goes to go do whatever he’s doing in th castle because at this point there’s no way he’s Arthur’s manservant, but I don’t care enough to come up with another thing for him to do. 

And Gwen and Lancelot gush about it and Gwen asks Lancelot if it was good, and he tells her it was just as nice as waking up with her in his arms! So cute! 

I know you’re thinking this doesn’t sound like a triad yet, but wait. Wait.

QPR. Queer platonic relationship. Merlin is like “when you guys have a kid, I call dibs on second dad.” And Merlin is really really really surprised when Lancelot and Gwen are both like “duh. What did you think you’d be?” 

It makes Merlin all glowey to think that his friends think he’s good enough to be a third parent to their maybe one day child. 

One time when Lancelot has to go off to battle or something, he asks Merlin, basically begs him, to look after Gwen if for any reason he can’t return. Merlin’s like “me? Are you sure?” And Lancelot gives him this look that he has obviously borrowed from Leon because it is very long suffering and says, “yes, you Merlin. You live in our house; you share our bed; who else would I trust with this?”

And Merlin kind of suddenly gets in. 

Oh, wow, okay, he’s kind of with them, but not with them. It’s complicated. He can see that it is very complicated. But it is a good complicated. He likes it.

Lancelot climbs in the bed beside Merlin instead of Gwen and holds them both.

Merlin wakes up in the night to complain that he’s hot and makes Lancelot go back to the middle.
