i take off my skin to ease the pain. chew the layer to disintegrate it's hurt. find the centre in infinite vain. hold each piece and make small cuts. ugliness oozes out of each pore. dark, warm and full of burdens old. scrape scrape scrape. maybe this is enough but wait, there's more. don't let them see. tell no soul. put each part back together with a bandage. what? permanent cure? no. as long as it continues to work.

The midnights remind me,

Of all the wrongs I did,

All the miseries I caused.

Times when I wasn't sorry,

My past mistakes I failed to care about;

These pending apologies,

Will someday cause my demise.

My crimes won't let me live,

They strangle me to death each night,

Yet I survive just to hate myself,

I disappointed everyone who thought I was kind.

Now I'll wait,

For all the wrongs to come back to me in full circle,

For me to face the outcomes,

And be released from my blunders.

𝙸𝚜 𝚒𝚝 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚗 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚞𝚊𝚐𝚎? ⭐︎ Ah! This is an easy one! Language breaks barriers, we all know that, but some people refuse to learn a language because they don’t want to spend time on it. ⭐︎ I grew up speaking Spanish and later learned to speak English when I started attending school. I still speak my mother tongue, and it helped a lot that I used to visit Mexico every December to visit family. My parents used to laugh at me because I had the ‘ranchero’ accent. ⭐︎ Currently, I am learning how to speak Italian because it’s a language that I’ve always found beautiful, and it’s so similar to Spanish because Italian and Spanish are rooted in Latin, the language of the Roman Empire.
