This is a snippet from something I made lately and it's a great example of what the early stages of my songwriting sounds like - words that don't really mean anything but sound good. I don't know what I'll end up with.

The world is facing some serious issues 🖤 For the release of my climate-protest flavored single "What They Want", I wanted the artwork to be really dark and serious too 😈 I ended up having something more hopeful on the cover in the end, instead of this very black and white shot of me looking deadly serious and angry with those in charge who are letting our planet die 😵 I do feel the climate-anxiety, but I believe that things can be changed for the better and we can all be part of it 💚 What THEY want is to make a profit, what WE want is a healthy planet, am I right? Jerry Cantrell kicked off the first leg of his 2023 solo tour, "Brighten" supporting the 2022 release of this album. He opened up for Bush at Grand Sierra Casino in Reno on Saturday night.

He is playing material off his new album, and many Alice in Chains hits. It was a spectacular evening, above and beyond expectations.

He will be playing in SF on February 22nd. This is a must see show!!
