not the point of the comic but maybe useful, wrote a comment but realized "hey maybe itd be a good idea to directly link this in a reblog": if any of your relatives buy you "5g repelling"/"negative ion" products, they may or may not be Literally Radioactive, depending on what level of scam the seller is operating at

this has been going on for a few years, and while there have been efforts to get them removed, its kinda a game of wackamole and they keep popping up.

not EVERY item labeled "anti 5G/negative ion" is radioactive, some of them just do. literally nothing. ya kno like a lotta scam products. but unless you have a method of testing them like a geiger counter/cloud chamber i wouldnt chance it.

and of course how radioactive they are varies, some are barely there super mild, others are a little hotter. you probs wont find anything thatll give you an acute dose or whatever. but since youre supposed to fucking, wear these things 24 hours a day. the smaller dose Adds Up.

...anyway, just a note in case anyone else's conspiracy relatives got some of this shit, or someone bought it ironically/because they thought the design was cool. Yeaaaaah dont wear that shit. even if its just bc its funny.

First of all, just as a disclaimer, I would like to say that I have fully healed from this situation years ago, and now when I look back on it I feel humor rather than the negative feelings that I experienced at the time ( you can joke about this). I wanted to tell this story because it is a part of my lore, and without the backstory of the necklace, the remaining parts of the story aren't as funny.

I'm lucky that this is the only rejection to coming out that affected me, and I wasn't that close to this person. Most of the people in my life are very accepting, so don't feel too bad for me.

got this reblog on one of my posts were i talked about being anxious about the future of the zelda series after totk and-

i even went back and unblocked them just to check my own post and check twice what they meant exactly- but i still dont know how they got to these conclusions

i never said i 'want a good uwu ganondorf' (bc that would mean hes aligned with hyrule bc thats how goodness works!!!!11!1!!!), i also dont think of any of the zeldas as 'whores' (seriously, where did that come from?? neither me nor the addition of someone agreeing with me said anything like that??? did they think bc the addition called tloz misogynistic means we think zelda is a whore????? huh???)

its also funny how they say they want zelda to stay a simple fairytale rather than have 'people like me' bc .. one point i talked about in the og post was how the evil arab thing VS good white people media likes to do so much is so normalized here that its simply seen as a simple harmless fairytale trope instead of a big underlying issue in general media and the writers might not even realize it (which is worse) bc the most 'generic' appeal is to people who dont think of it as a problem in the first place, because it is so normalized

(ALSO funny they mention princess hilda as nuanced villain ... like ... wow they are so nuanced about purple haired people!!- like guess why we want a nuanced/less badly/less flat written ganondorf and what he, in particular, has not in common with other villains! its not his hair color! .... or was that point supposed to mean .. look we have one female character that is a villain, its not misogynistic! idk honestly)

also funny how its 'never gonna be progressive enough' like asking for the franchise to maybe put a little more thought and nuance into their white divine right vs evil desert man simulator instead of making it worse is already asking too much

(also yes totk is racist, like most if not all of the franchise and a alot of other media as well, shocker- you can still like it though, i and plenty of other people are still fans of it, we just wish they did a little more with their stuff and maybe not make the racism problem WORSE)

i think something that people miss about the "you should be reblogging creative work, not just liking it" stuff is that so many people who arent making these creative works are so in the mindset of QUANTITY of notes over QUALITY of notes.

maybe this is in part because of other social media (like instagram, twitter, and youtube) where the creator is rewarded based on the quantity of likes, but y'all have to understand that us tumblr creators, for the most part, do not care about the quantity of notes. yes, it's nice to know that 700 people liked a gifset we made! but it's disheartening to see that only, like, 5 people reblogged it onto their blog so other people could see it and enjoy it too. part of tumblr as a SOCIAL media is that we are meant to interact with each other here, and if you only like stuff, you're limiting the social aspect of a wide platform of users.

fic writers want to see your comments about how they wrote that one scene. fanartists want you to get excited about the way they draw your favorite characters. gifsets like what we have here on tumblr don't exist like this anywhere else. why don't you want to show these creators off to your friends and followers? don't you want to show off how cool these creations and their creators are?
