in a time of knowledge suppression is it your duty to arm yourself with knowledge.

read about americas occupations in the middle east.

read about 9/11 from outside of america and see how they inflicted senseless harm and violence to countless amounts of people and have been suppressing your rights for the past 2 fucking decades.

read about any of the countless wars from the past 30 years. especially from a civilian's. and the victims and survivors' perspective. listen to the horror stories and do not plug your fucking ears as to what your country is doing.

and read about fucking gaza and palestine and keep up with what is happening no matter how "sad" or "uncountable" you might get.

dont look away from this.

you dont have the right to be comfortable during countless active genocides.

if you're knowledgeable, you're powerful, and our current state doesnt fucking want that.

you have the power to change things if you open your eyes and scream to the world.

wake the fuck up.

The Bequeathed was interesting in that it was equally frustrating as it was at least entertaining. Like I enjoyed the attempt at delving into gothic drama and mystery in this rural setting but it provided the bare minimum amount of narrative heaft required to pull it off so when the "twist" came the impact was lackluster and maybe a bit too predictable if you are familiar with common beats within these genres.

It had 2/3 strong ideas between its 2 sets of (maybe even 3) main characters but they felt like samples of each concept with thin threads to bind them and it honestly could've worked sooo much better by either editing down one or the other to make it a movie OR gotten more episodes to expand these ideas it wouldve been stellar. Some might say expansion is a bad idea cause they found it too slow but I found the pacing very steady and typical for a mystery!

My biggest complaint with it though was that it made the central figure who sort of has all this shit thrust upon them and become the center of a swirl of chaos become increasingly hard to empathize with despite the work in the beginning to do so lol and it never really pushes them enough to be likabley bad or morally grey, but more so ultimately pathetic or even incredibly foolish in later decisions.

But other wise its like a 6.5/10???

eddie smiles at you exactly the same way over a bowl of cereal that he does when he's between your legs and it is absolutely, positively ruining your life. 

he high fives you when he comes off stage with the same routine as he does when you both collapse side by-side on the mattress. calls you sweetheart in public with exactly the same tone as he does when you’re sticky in his lap. 

something awful flutters around in your chest when he does it now, sidling up beside you on a bench outside your work in a mess of too-long limbs and clunky jewelry. 

“what flavor?” his eyes track your mouth around a piece of bubblegum. 

you poke the piece of chewed up purple out of your mouth in lieu of an answer, and then he’s moving too fast for you to stop him. one big, ringed hand grabs you softly by the cheeks and squeezes just so, and then he’s reaching forward and fishing it from between your lips; tossing it past his own. 

you have the decency to look disgusted. eddie just grins. 

“gross, eddie.”

“gross!” he shrieks. “gross, she says.”

he leans in, kisses you so hard your head hits the window behind you. there’s a track of dried spit on your cheek when he pulls away. “i’ll give you gross.”

“you’re a sicko. we're in public." you emphasise, shoving him back and grabbing your bag from the seat beside you. "do you get off on embarrassing me, or something?”

a smile splits his sun kissed face. “mhmm. makes me all tingly inside."

“shut up,” you push your things into his arms and move for the door, thinking of ten different ways you'll get him back when you're alone. “gimme a sec and then we can go — i gotta use the bathroom.”

a searing look in his eye, the same one as when his chain dangles in your face.

“can i come?”

bruce calls a press conference in which he tells the world he's batman. nobody says anything. it's silent. not a single flash of a camera. "no, seriously," he says, "i'm batman."

the press starts yelling and snapping photos and bruce is relieved because for a moment there it really seemed like they wouldn't believe—

"mr. wayne! mr. wayne, is this a publicity stunt?"

"mr. wayne, did you lose a bet again?"

"are you taking the fall for someone? is it your mystery partner?"

bruce just stands there. he tries to form a sentence until dick eventually comes up laughing. "are you still drunk from last night? jesus, bruce!"

he tries again at a wayne enterprise meeting. he thinks that maybe starting smaller is the way to go.

"i'm batman."

"yeah, and i'm superman," someone says. the room laughs (even lucius, the traitor).

he calls the chief of the gotham gazette, refusing to let it go through anybody else. "how about an exclusive interview? been a while since you've had one of those."

the chief says, "mr. wayne, would this exclusive interview have anything to do with batman?"

"...it might. you'll have to find out."

he sighs. "let's talk schedules."

finally, bruce thinks. somebody is taking me seriously.

the headline reads: "prince of gotham genuinely believes he's batman. covering for a special someone?"

he goes out for patrol without his cowl. it's a quiet night. a video goes viral on twitter, and it's of him tripping on his own cape. the caption reads: "he's really dedicated to this whole batman thing💀💀"

"this is bruce wayne."

"hi, bruce."

"clark? whose phone are you calling from?"

"police department. i've been arrested under suspicion of being batman."
