Productivity is doing things!! Did you eat food and drink water? You did something that helped your body work! Doodled in class? You made art! Even just posting theories and memes on tumblr dot com is a thing! You thought out the post, figured out how to organize it (even if you don’t realize you did that) and you made it! And now other people can see and you DID something and you should be proud!!!

hey y’all!

so i’ve been considering this a lot in the past few weeks, and figured i’d make an official post so you all know i’m alive and what not since i have been very much inactive as of recently.

i’m taking a break.

not forever! not because of anything in the fandom! this break is solely due to personal life reasons and the fact i just can’t be as active on here right now between my jobs and personal affairs. and it also won’t be long — i’m going to be off here probably through the end of november. if i have the time/mental capacity to come back before then, i absolutely will 🖤 but right now, tumblr isn’t something that fits easily within my days and also, writing for my fics hasn’t been something i can easily do not due to lack of inspiration but lack of time.

again, this is just due to my own personal life currently. nothing happened in the fandom that motivated this decision (i honestly don’t even know what’s happening on here currently solely because i haven’t had the time to scroll lol) and it’s very much not permanent, and will HOPEFULLY be very short. like i said, until the end of november. i’ll still be writing in my free time, and my hope is to be able to update fics once i’m back and worse better than ever! 🖤

Have I ever posted my Water Narrator thoughts?

For a while, I’ve thought of the use of Water as symbolism for The Narrator, in and out of game context

I think these thoughts are most reasonable when looking at The Skip Button Ending and The Epilogue. In The Skip Button ending when The Narrator first sees a bad review they (Stanley and The Narrator) go outside to see that it’s starting to rain. This continues the duration they spend outside, The Narrator’s stirring mind evident by the distant thunder and as we get closer to the edge of the land we see a large ocean. And what rises out of it? The Narrator’s newest creation, The Skip Button. With this all happening it wouldn’t be outlandish to associate The Narrator and the water outside. Once Stanley’s inside the concrete room we are taken away from the water over time. It dries up along with The Narrator and at the end of those many years we’re left with a tundra; a desert that hasn’t seen water in years. And The Epilogue doesn’t dispute this, the only life we see being Stanley and TK

More into my personal thoughts, The Narrator is vast like the ocean we see. All encompassing; he surrounds his story (a comic I made that slightly echos these ideas).

see the THING IS. The muppets are cheesy and kitschy and earnest in a simple way. They’re about being a group of freaks that found where they belong with each other. Yes, Miss Piggy is glamorous and sassy but it feels wrong to see her in a mansion alone instead of a dressing room that is under threat of siege at any moment. Kermit is easy to fluster and is prone to wiggly armed fits of rage when appropriate. The humor isn’t sarcastic marvel style quips, it’s really bad puns and exaggerated slapstick with a couple of absolutely genius puns tossed in. They need to be together. They’re a family. A really lame, kitschy, earnestly weird family.

This reminds me of those videos I really dislike on TikTok and in general. You know those where they put “bad” pictures of him in slide one. the pics are supposed to be the photoshopped ones trying to make him look bad in comparison to the so called good ones on slide two *cough cough* thriller/bad era. but these brain dead “fans” add regular non photoshopped pictures of mj from the 2000s too, (this post is actually an example, the first and third photos are just normal pics of mike- no photoshopping or whatever).

And they do all this thinking they’re so cool and shit like NO YOU ARENT, YOU STILL PERPETUATE THE NOTION THAT MJ LOOKED SCARY OR WEIRD YOU IDIOT.

In general I don’t understand their fascination with trying to act like they're unique for defending/focusing on how a celebrity looked in their prime. It doesn’t change the fact that this practice perpetuates the idea that the celebrity looked strange or unappealing at other times.

Why does it matter so much to prove that Michael was attractive in the 80s? Why do you care if ppl don’t find your celeb crush/idol attractive. Who gives a shit if some random sally on the internet thinks mjs scary. Fuck that hoe idc.

I love this fandom, but this type of nonsense is infuriating.
