Remember when Toei reanimated Luffy and Zoro’s meeting for a flashback right before the peak of Zoro vs King, and in it they made the stylistic choice to gradually make the world brighter and brighter as Zoro makes his vow, in one long and beautiful shot framed to show the way Luffy’s perfectly reflected in Zoro’s eyes, to show that it’s him changing Zoro’s entire world and becoming the center of it. Remember that.

The sound of Alastor’s sinister amusement only fanned the flames of Husk’s imagination. He knew he shouldn’t get this carried away with his feelings for Alastor - his keeper didn’t experience attraction in comparable ways, and somehow, it didn’t feel right for Husk to dream of scenarios that might never come to be…and then Alastor beckoned him toward the crimson bed, inviting Husk into what he considered a more intimate space.

The bartender rose, following obediently and taking in the altered room. The bed, with its classic shade, was a nice touch, but the rest of the scenery? An underlying sense of dread nagged at Husk when he scanned the ramshackled bayou layout. With Alastor, beggars weren’t allowed to be choosers, but as long as the Radio Demon was welcoming input…

“I could die tomorrow. Permanently,” Husk asserted. It was morbid, but a very honest possibility he had prepared himself for. “If this is my last night of existence, my only night with you, I want it to be special.” He managed to snap out of his melancholy long enough to shoot Alastor a playful smirk as he sat on the bed’s edge.

“Come on Al, aren’t you always goin’ on about teaching people some “proper class and style?” I think you could stand to offer me a little more ritz.” His challenge was meant in good spirit, but it was a challenge nonetheless.

Alastor’s command choked any remaining placating words Husk was prepared to spew. Suddenly, he felt so stupid. Husk had grown accustomed to watching Alastor flaunt his powers and toss around threats like calling cards. The bartender had nearly forgotten that he was exempt from the Radio Demon’s wrath. He was Alastor’s, and that meant protection. Of course, that also came with the caveat of Alastor handling the cat however he saw fit, and despite his best intentions, it often led to…misunderstandings.

Husk blinked, head spinning from the abrupt shift in Alastor’s disposition. The fact that the Radio Demon was openly apologizing to him seemed surreal. Alastor was still a proud, vengeful man, but Husk could still note the small adjustments that had been made for his sake. He supposed he had felt a twinge of longing for Alastor’s companionship while the Overlord had been busy preparing for the battle the next day. If this could be Husk’s last night, he wanted to enjoy the time he had left with Alastor.

The cat’s sentimental musings were interrupted by words so unexpectedly suggestive that Husk’s brain nearly shut down. With a candid blush, Husk gently rested his temple against Alastor’s in silent invitation.

Odypen definitely and equivalently adore each other BUT I weirdly can't see them as the type to actually say "I Love you".

They still definitely vocalize their love for each other but it's more so in "My Joy", and "Extraordinary Woman", "Strange Woman/Man", etc. And very cheesy lines (both say some cheesy shit in the Odyssey, and he definitely does in the Iliad as well. "Joy like a drowning sailor seeing land" bit???)

I could see "I adore you" but even then, that's probably during very specific moments but the actual "I love you"??? I just typed it just now for fic shit and... It weirdly just didn't feel right and I don't know why. 😅

Idk maybe it's kind of because I see them as over the top in ways, they love wordplay and riddles and I think they'd almost think "...That's not good enough >:( " about it??? I don't know???😂

I didn’t know what to call it before but I finally figured it out—

Bogleech has created the Schrödinger’s Haunted Narrative.

A character that is dead (sort of?) who keeps getting alluded to (but only in a peripheral way/a concept) who MIGHT COME BACK POSSIBLY (but due to the nature of their death it could also equally be the audience reading way too much into things + seeing signs that aren’t there, but because they exist as a concept of a person, and the narrative has repeatedly reinforced that believing in a concept is a large part of what keeps in alive + able to be perceived, even by things that don’t TECHNICALLY EXIST ON ITS PERCEPTION LAYER. Thus because of this universe’s canon, they very well might be persisting because of the sheer amount of people that still talk about + draw + write about them).

And I love it and think about it an unhealthy amount.

the school arc to me is so good because it drags ciel out of his position as a powerful figure and literally places him in the shoes of the person he could have been. the circus arc ALSO drags him out of his position as big bad queens watch dog/head of the phantomhive estate but the school arc feels like a mockery of a future that never was. this is what he could have been had his parents not died. and even then its NOT because he will never be that kid.

I'm not an extrovert. At all. In everyday life, I'm a yapper, sure, but I need someone to first assure me I am okay to yap, so I don't start conversations, even when I really want to join in sometimes! It's just the social anxiety acting up. God knows where from and why I lose a lot of my inhibitions when it comes to talking to people about music. I don't know where the confidence has suddenly sprung from. I've made a crazy amount of friends in musical circles, either just talking to people about common music or (since it is after all in music circles) talking to bands about their own music. I let out a sigh of relief any time an interaction goes well, because in truth it's going against my every instinct. I wish I could do that in everyday life

For Starmer to have stuck to his 2020 leadership election pledges, instead of spending the past four years understanding voters, would have been fundamentally anti-democratic.

The most egregious aspect of the anti-Labour left argument is there isn’t much to choose between Starmer and Sunak. Yes, Labour’s “Ming vase” election strategy has seen it take a much more cautious fiscal approach than many of us would like: it has effectively adopted the Tory macroeconomic worldview and with it a set of spending constraints that no one sensible thinks either party could stick to in the wake of the election.

That is frustrating for anyone hoping this election campaign may illuminate some of the tough trade-offs facing Britain; but it would have been incredibly risky for one side to go it alone on this. The alternative is Labour walking into the trap and handing the Conservatives a “Labour tax bombshell” election campaign.

From a commitment to scrap the Rwanda plan to making clear that in an ideal world Labour would discard the two-child benefit cap, there are plenty of reasons that it is preposterous to think that a Starmer government would make the same trade-offs as successive Conservative governments that have financed billions of pounds worth of tax cuts for more affluent families by cutting tax credits and benefits for low-income parents. The six pledges Starmer launched two weeks ago may be incremental, but Labour needs voters to believe they are deliverable, and they are indicative of a very different set of priorities than those that animate Sunak."

I’m the anon from the post before and I understand what you mean! I guess I just took differently when I watched the show. I don’t think Charlie or Nick was upset about Ben being closeted I think they (especially Charlie) we’re just upset how Ben treated Charlie the entire. Also I’m not saying this to be rude or start anything this is just how I saw it:) I think Charlie was angry (as he should) about how Ben treated him through out the relationship they had and not about him being closeted. Because I do believe if Ben just communicated better and treated him better and didn’t treat Charlie the way he did it could’ve worked out. I’m just saying that I didn’t see them bashing Ben for being closeted only bashing him for treating Charlie the way he did without acknowledging how it felt for him.

Yeah I don't think Charlie or Nick is mad about Ben being closeted but weirdly I think the narrative is and that's what irks me. All his issues and bad behaviors are because he's closeted (you said yourself that it's because he's closeted that he treats Charlie the way he does) but the story doesn't seem interested in exploring that so much as punishing him for it by having both Imogen and Charlie yell at him and then throwing him out of the series before he can improve at all.

And when this show is so renowned for it's love and celebration of queer experiences and identity it will always feel out of place that Ben was left out in the dust seemingly because he and his experiences were too complex.
