VENT SESSION LETS GOOOO — you’re allowed to scroll if you don’t care mwah
i spend an ungodly amount of hours on this app, and i look at you as my friends so just want to let you guys know
i am also a very nosy person myself, so seems only fair i share my own situation. but if you don’t care about all this, you can just keep scrolling. i honestly don’t mind lol
anyways… a few weeks ago, i told you guys i was going through something that was kinda heavy — yeah my bf and i were going through some stuff and started seeing someone professionally… we broke up
there was an understanding that this might be outcome when we first opened up this can of worms, and there turned out to be a lot of underlying issues that both of us had refused to acknowledge
it was definitely a mutual decision. though it’s a hard pill to swallow, we came to the conclusion it was the best for the both of us
we want such vastly different things in life, things neither of us should compromise on. to me, life came at me a lot faster than i anticipated and felt like there were things left unexplored — and neither of us want to hold the other person back from what we want
however, this is a person i have been with for six years, a quarter of my life. there’s obviously a lot of shared history which is hard to let go of. it’s also so incredibly painful when we’re not splitting due to lack of affection and love for the other person, but because our desires and wants in life just don’t align
he is still my best friend, and because of how our life situation is, we will continue living together as we have been doing for the past three years (he only lives here half the time due to work), until i move across the country when summer comes. we’re also going to celebrate christmas together because it just feels right lol
i would say i am doing as well as i can… we are obviously on good terms, but this is probably one of the hardest things i’ll go through. it is the biggest heartbreak of my life. but that is really just a sign that the time we’ve shared together haven’t been a waste. we can be proud of the fact that we’ve been honest, faithful, respectful and kind throughout the entirety of our relationship, to the point where this is so hard even though it’s the right decision
obviously, i am very scared of the path that lies ahead. he has been by my side for the better half of a decade, and i have the privilege of exploring things on my own. it’s obviously what i have been missing in my life, so i am excited for what’s to come, but terrified of living a life he’s not going to be such a big part of anymore
but things are going to be fine. idk how long it will take, i am suspecting very long, but i know in my bones this is for the best for us both. so with time, i will be happy
and not to worry, i have a fantastic support system. i have incredible friends who are there for me. i am lucky to have a family who is not guilting me about leaving a long term relationship, despite also being sad. and i’ve learned i have a great community on here who has showed so much kindness, and i am so grateful <3
that being said — i am not planning on taking a break from tumblr lol. if anything, i am starting to get out of my writers block. this past week i have written more than i have the last month so that’s good! i think i might try and be a little more productive than i have been the past few weeks (at least i hope so, work is picking up again hehe)
not putting this out here for sympathy or anything, but just a little update. i am interested in the lives of those i follow, so maybe some of you are interested in mine
wishing everyone a nice weekend 🫶🏻 i got work in the morning (day after the breakup that’s fun)

Building Blocks
Oh Seungmin Summary: It seemed like your whole life you were destined to live in your older brother’s shadow. Although there are still people who have the ability to see you, one of them being Oh Seungmin, your brother’s best friend. WC:~10.1K Warning: Inaccurate information about architecture. Note: Reader is Gunil’s younger sister.
photo not mine credits to owner.
It was your first day of your second year of college tomorrow and you were just the slightest bit hopeful that people would stop comparing you to your older brother.
“Goo? Like Goo Gunil? You’re Gunil’s little sister aren’t you?” Your sprinkle of hope was quickly crushed upon those words being the first thing your professor asked you.
“Yes, Goo y/n…Gunil’s little sister” you say a bit reluctantly.
“I expect great things of you then,” your professor tells you. You nod and go take a seat.
“So you’re Gunil’s little sister?” A fellow classmate is quick to turn to you.
“My name is y/n,” you inform them.
“Right, you’re gonna have it easy,” they said.
“Huh?” you ask.
“Oh come on, your brother is Goo Gunil. He’s a legend and like the ultimate cheat sheet for you. If you ever need to help you can just go to your brother. I’d kill to be you man.”
So you’d rather be referred to as Gunil’s sister more than your own name? You want to have 95% of people who approach you talk about your brother? You’d rather be seen as an extension of your brother rather than your own person? These are all things you want to say, but instead you brush the person off, turning to face the front.
“Y/n!” your best friend Jiseok, one of the few people who sees you as your own person, excitedly greets you. He slides into the seat beside you. “I was scared they would try to separate us,” he joked.
“No way. I don’t think I would survive if we got separated. The first thing the professor asked me was if Gunil was my brother,” you state.
“Already?” Jiseok looked at you sympathetically.
“Why would my second year of college be any different than the rest of my life?” you say halfway joking.
“Don’t say that. I’ll come into class shouting your name everyday till people get it through their skull that you and Gunil are two different people.”
“Thanks” you smile at Jiseok appreciatively.
“Alright it seems like the last of you have filed in, so I’ll get on with it. Welcome to Architecture 102. For your first assignment I’d like to create your own house model. Don’t worry about it being perfect, I just want to see where you all are at. What your styles are. To get to know who you are as people through your work. Submit your sketch to me by Friday and the model will be due the week after,” your professor announces to the class.
“You gonna stick to your signature look?” Jiseok asked you.
“I think that’s the point of this assignment” you chuckle.
“Yeah, but still figured I’d ask. We’re starting out fresh. Thought maybe you’d want to try something new,” he said.
“We’ll see,” you say, pulling out your supplies. You and Jiseok get to work, working on your sketches.
Arriving home after your first day you feel exhausted. Knowing that you have another three years ahead of you fighting against what seems to be your fate of being stuck in Gunil’s shadow. It feels like the title of “Gunil’s little sister” weighs heavier on you than it used to. You really thought college would be better. Everyone was adults now, so certainly they would have more things to care about than who your older brother was, but alas it somehow seems that the comparisons of you and Gunil are about to reach an all time high.
“Hey y/n you’re back,” Seungmin smiles at you from the kitchen table. “How was your first day?” he asked.
“I think half the campus knows me as Gunil’s little sister. All the Architecture majors do at least,” you sigh. A frown tugged at Seungmin’s lips. He knew how tiring of a feat it was for you to always be casted into Gunil’s shadow.
“Should I start picking you up from campus everyday yelling your name till everyone gets the idea that you are your own person,” Seungmin suggested. You let out a chuckle.
“Jiseok said something similar,” You told Seumgmin.
“What did he say?” he questioned.
“He said that he’ll come into class shouting my name everyday till people get it through their skull that you and Gunil are two different people,” you relay Jiseok’s words. A small smile graced Seungmin’s lips. He looks at you with a sincere look.
“There are people who see you for you y/n and I-”
“Y/n when did you get back?” Gunil entered the kitchen.
“Just a bit ago. How was today's meeting?” you questioned before he could ask you about your first day.
“With the help of your planning and preparations it was smooth sailing. Wasn’t it Seungmin?” Gunil responded.
“Went off without a hitch. We’re just tying up the loose ends of it now.” He gestured towards their open laptops.
“You better hurry up and graduate quickly cause as soon as you have your degree I’m passing the business over to you. I love architecture, but being the head of dad’s company was never what I envisioned. He always talked about handing the business over to you and that was certainly for a reason.” Gunil rubs his thumbs over his temples.
“Dad would be proud of you if was still around,”You tell Gunil.
“He’d be proud of you too,” Gunil says. You and him exchange smiles of solidarity.
“Well I have a sketch to work on, so I’ll leave you guys to finish tying up your loose ends,” you say with a hint of playfulness in your tone. You walk out of the kitchen and head up the stairs.
Once you’re out of earshot Gunil says, “I wish y/n was the first born sometimes. She’s way more cut out for this than I am. A better architect too.”
“You’re doing a good job Gunil. Plus you’re not alone, you have y/n and me,” Seungmin comforts him.
“I know and I’m very grateful because I would be at such a loss right now if it was just me.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Your style is much different from your brother’s,” your Architecture 102 professor notes upon viewing your sketch.
“Well we are different people,” you point out.
“Right, of course you are,” he says offhandedly. “What did your brother say about your sketch?” your professor asked curiously.
“I didn’t show him,” I state.
“You didn’t show him?” he chuckles. “You don’t have to lie. Honestly it would be silly of you not to, so what did he say?” he pressed. You let out a small sigh. You really didn’t show Gunil your sketch, nor did he ever ask to see it.
“He said it reminded him of our father’s work,” you lied.
“It is very reminiscent of your father’s work. The old cabin based framework. It’s nice to see. I look forward to your model.” Your professor approves of your sketch.
“If he brings up Gunil everytime I submit something I’m not going to survive,” you tell Jiseok, slumping down in your seat and letting your head fall onto the desk. Jiseok reaches over and pats your back.
“I can ‘accidently’ whack him with my carrying tube if he keeps it up.” Jiseok’s insinuation successfully makes you laugh.
“I might like to see that even if he discovers that there is no need to continually bring up Gunil whenever he speaks to me.”
“Guess he better watch out for me then,” Jiseok said mischievously.
You and Jiseok are sitting at a table discussing working on your models together when a dirty blonde haired guy approaches the two of you.
“Hey Jiseok, can I get my notes back?” he questioned.
“Oh yeah, of course.” Jiseok begins to dig through his bag.
“Who’s this?” the guy asked Jiseok, tilting his head towards you.
“Oh right. Jungsu this is my best friend y/n. Y/n this is Jungsu he’s in my business management class,” Jisedok introduces the two of you and hands Jungsu his notes back.
“You major in architecture too?” Jungsu asked, pointing to your sketch that laid beside Jiseok’s on the table.
“Yeah,” you smile.
“Jungsu is in his last year. He’s gonna open a flower shop after he graduates,” Jiseok informs.
“Oh, that’s nice. Jiseok and I will have to stop by once you open it,” you say.
“Thanks, what are your plans after graduation? Or is it too stressful to ask sophomores that?” Jiseok laughs a little.
“It’s cool man. I’m gonna work at y/n’s company,” Jiseok states.
“Who said I’d hire you?” you joke. Jiseok gives you an offended look.
“How could you not hire your beloved best friend?” You shake your head playfully.
“I’m gonna take over my dad’s company. My brother is running it right now, but he’s more than eager to pass the position over to me,” you inform Jungsu.
“Who’s your brother?” Jungsu questioned. A shocked expression quickly covers your face.
“W-who’s my brother? It’s possible for me to be asked that.” You look at Jiseok. Jiseok chuckles at your shocked expression while Jungsu grows very confused.
“You just made her month man,” Jiseok states, making Jungsu grow even more confused.
“Sorry,” you say slowly, coming out of my state of shock. “I get compared to my brother a lot. In fact most people know me as his little sister rather than my name, so…thank you.” Seeing how shocked you are and after hearing your words, Jungsu feels a bit of a tug on his heart. He is still a bit confused though.
“You don’t need to tell me who he is then. I should get going now, but it was nice to meet you y/n.” Jungsu takes his leave.
“I seriously didn’t think that was possible,” you say, still feeling taken aback. Jiseok laughs again.
“Looks like Gunil is only a legend in the architecture world. Outside of it there are plenty of people who have no clue who he is.” What just happened gave you some hope that maybe you aren’t fated to be stuck in your older brother’s shadow forever.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You always look so at peace whenever you’re working on a model.” The voice breaks you out of your tranquil, yet focused state. You turn around to see Seungmin sitting on the couch behind you.
“How long have you been there?” He’s been there a good fifteen minutes. Seungmin has always liked watching you work. You always looked so calm and focused. There was this light in your eyes that showed how much you loved building models. It made Seungmin’s heart feel warm. He thinks that he could watch you work for hours.
“Not long,” he replied. He gets up from the couch to join you on the floor, taking a good look at the model you're currently working on.
“Does it get the Seungmin stamp of approval?” you jokingly question.
“Your own stamp of approval is way more valuable than mine, but yeah I’d give this my stamp of approval.” He gives you a thumbs up.
“Why are you over so late?”
“Gunil needed some help with investment paperwork.”
“He could’ve asked me. You didn’t have to come out here at night.”
“Ah yes cause the five minute drive between your house and mine is just so intolerable,” Seungmin jests, making you chuckle. “He knew you were working on your model, so he didn’t want to bother you,” Seungmin explained. “Are you nervous about having to present it?” You shake your head.
“No, I’m not nervous, but I’m not looking forward to the comments I’ll get about how I probably asked Gunil for advice or whatnot,” you voice. Seungmin places a hand on your shoulder, giving it a squeeze.
“You and Gunil kill me sometimes,” he states.
“What?” Laughter rumbles through your chest at his unexpected comment.
“You found yourself stuck in Gunil’s shadow, always getting compared to him. Getting your own talent downgraded because ignorant people just assume you must’ve turned to Gunil for help. Meanwhile Gunil is constantly comparing himself to you. Trying to improve himself to be more like you. It’s like this weird cycle that doesn’t make any sense,” Seungmin informs.
“It’s oddly ironic in a way,” you say, a solemn feeling stirring in your chest.
“Finish up your model,” Seungmin gives you a smile, giving your shoulder another squeeze before pulling his hand away. He gets up from the floor and takes his previous spot back on the couch.
“Shouldn’t you be heading out?” you questioned.
“I like watching you work,” he said.
“O..k?” you let out a mix of a scoff and a laugh turning back to put the finishing touches on your model. You quickly fall back into your tranquil, yet focused state as does Seungmin as he watches you work with a small smile etched onto his lips.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Alright, now we're gonna do a fun little group project. Working with the people sitting behind you. You will work together to build a framework that can withstand an earthquake,” Your professor announces. You and Jiseok look at each other first before turning around in your seats to face the two people behind you.
“Ooh we get to work with Gunil’s little sister.” One of your project partners immediately comments upon you and Jiseok turning around.
“Her name is Y/n,” Jiseok states with a hint of annoyance in his voice. He too has grown tired of the constant use of your nickname.
“I-I know, but she is also his sister. It’s not wrong to refer to her as that,” they defend themselves. Clearly a bit taken aback by Jiseok’s tone.
“It may not be wrong, but it does get annoying when I hear that more than my own name,” you voice.
“Aye come on why are you two being so uptight? I didn’t mean any harm, I was just having fun,” they said.
“Let’s just get started on the project,” your other project partner cuts in. The four of you begin to design the framework.
Later towards the end of class the groups took turns setting their designed frameworks on an earthquake simulator to see if their created design was strong enough to withstand an earthquake. When it came time for your group's turn you placed the framework on the simulator and stood back, watching anxiously as your design shook. The shaking of the simulator came to an end and the framework you and your group created was still standing tall. You and your group exchange celebratory high fives.
“I didn’t expect anything less of the group that had Gunil’s sister, but very good job nonetheless,” your professor compliments. However, even in your own victory Gunil’s name was still being brought up. It made your victory feel less sweet. Your happy smile falters slightly and Jiseok notices it. It makes his own happy smile falter as he watches you try to brush it off. Replacing your once happy smile with a fake one. Your group heads back to your seats.
“Should we have lunch with Jungsu today?” Jiseok suggested. A genuine smile makes its way back onto your face that makes Jiseok feel at ease.
“Yeah I like eating with Jungsu and we only have five more months with him before he graduates,” you say.
“Precisely, we need to bother him while we still can. I’ll text him,” Jiseok said, pulling out his phone.
After finishing up your last class for the day you make your way off campus. You walk by a crowd of people. You’re a little curious about what they could be crowding around, but not interested enough to find out.
That was until,”Y/n!” you hear your name being called. You turn around to see Seungmin emerging from the crowd and hurrying his way over to you. The crowd of people watch and almost follow him making you realize that he was what the people were crowding around.
“Seungmin, what are you doing here?” you ask.
“I met with a client in the area. Figured I would pick you up afterwards,” he tells you.
“And create a crowd?” you poke lightheartedly.
“I didn’t think that after graduating three years ago that I would still be popular on campus. I would’ve stayed in the car if I’d known,” he chuckled.
“You and Gunil are legends. Top two of your class,” you say.
“That’s because of you.” Seungmin bumps his shoulder with yours. He escorts you over to his car and opens the passenger door for you.
“Thank you,” you say, slipping into the car. He closes the door behind you and jogs over to the driver’s side, opening the door and settling in.
“Have you thought about interning yet?” Seungmin asked.
“Seungmin I have five, well four cause you need to send in the application a month ahead of time, but still four months before needing to decide where I’ll intern for the summer,” you chuckle.
“It never hurts to be prepared. I was scrambling at the last minute to figure out where to intern.”
“I appreciate your concern. I was planning on deciding after we have the intern fair,” you tell him.
“Speaking of that, I need to prepare for it,” Seungmin notes.
“You’re having a booth?” you question.
“My father decided to let me represent the company this year, yeah,” he answers.
“Represent or draw people in with your pretty face.” You playfully reach your hand out to cup his chin.
“Behave, I am driving.” He grabs your hand with one of his, taking it away from his chin. His hand remains holding yours for a few moments longer than necessary before letting go and bringing his hand back to the wheel.
“Because holding your pretty face is so distracting,” you snicker. Not knowing how distracting it really is for Seungmin. The way he had to try and control his racing heart the moment your hand cupped his chin. How he wanted nothing more than to turn over and look at you. Too see the cheeky smile you probably had on your face. The sparkles in your eyes.
He knew that you would have pulled your hand away from his chin on your own accord. Probably only in a matter of seconds, yet he could not fight the urge of wanting to feel your hand in his.
Seungmin has actually long had feelings for you. He may be best friends with your brother, but you were actually the sibling he saw first. His father had some business with yours and just so happened to bring him along. They were walking up to your father’s office when he saw you through the window. Sitting on your dad’s lap helping him with a model. You looked so at peace and content it stirred something inside Seungmin’s little nine year old heart.
“Mr. Oh you are here, welcome,” your dad greets Seungmin’s father. Standing up from the chair and lifting you from his lap, setting you on the ground. “This is my daughter y/n and son Gunil.” Your dad placed a hand on your shoulder then with his free arm gestured over to where Gunil was sitting on the couch. It was only then that Seungmin noticed the presence of your brother.
“This is my son Seungmin,” his father introduced him.
“How about you kids go acquaint yourselves over there?” Your dad points over to the couch sitting area where Gunil sat on the couch. “I believe our sons are the same age, nine?” your father checked. Mr. Oh nodded in confirmation.
“And your little one?” Mr Oh asked, looking at you.
“Six!” you answered proudly. “Come on, let's leave our fathers to their business.” You take a few steps over to Seungmin grabbing his hand and leading him over to the sitting area. Seungmin smiled at the feeling of your little hand holding his.
“Wait ,does that mean Gunil is going to do a booth for our company too?” you questioned. Seungmin waits a moment before nodding.
“He is, but he doesn’t know if he’s going to go himself or have another company staff go,” Seungmin tells you.
“He can go,” you say. Seungmin glances at you. He’s about to say something, but you beat him to it. “It’s because of me right? I’m the reason he’s unsure about going himself.” You fiddle with your fingers.
“It’s not just that. You know he’s still not really comfortable with all the business stuff. He’s worried about not doing a good job at representing the company,” Seungmin discloses. You let out a sigh.
“Why is he such an overthinker? The intern fair isn't solely about talking business. It’s a lot about talking about the stuff he loves about architecture. Plus most students will just want to intern there because it’s his company. His name on its own will be enough to fill an intern list,” you ramble. Seungmin chuckles lightly at your rambling.
“Tell him that yourself then,” Seungmin insists.
“But do I mention that I’m ok with him doing it or do I just smack him upside the head and tell him to stop overthinking it?” Seungmin can’t help but laugh.
“Do whatever you want,” he says while giggling.
Soon enough Seungmin pulls up in front of your house.
“Are you coming in?” you asked.
“Of course I am.” Seungmin smiles at you. The two of you get out of the car and walk up to your house. You and Seungmin enter the house together and your feet stop in their tracks.
“Mom!” you called out excitedly, dropping your bag onto the floor. Your mom just as excitedly opens her arms rushing over to hug you.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming back?” you asked, whilst you two sway side to side, embraced. As far as you knew your mom was supposed to be on her business trip for a few more days.
“I wanted to surprise you,” she says, pulling away to look at you. “How’s college going? I can’t believe you’re already halfway through your sophomore year. Growing up so fast.” She rubbed your shoulders.
“If you think she’s growing up fast then what am I?” Gunil appears through the front door. Your mom immediately goes over to hug Gunil.
“Oh don’t worry you make me feel very old. Seeing you run your dad’s company,” your mom said in a playful tone.
“Does Seungmin make you feel old too?” you jest, resulting in your mom chuckling.
“Yes, of course he does. He is like a second son to me. I watched him grow up with you and Gunil.” Your mom then goes over to give Seungmin a hug too. “Thank you for keeping my house standing,” she tells Seungmin. An offended look falls over both yours and Gunil’s faces.
“Mom we’re literally architects, how can you imply that we would knock the house down? That’s one problem you shouldn't have to worry about” Gunil states.
“Ok, so maybe you two wouldn’t knock it down, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I walked into it and it was completely remodeled one day.”
“You say that like it’d be a bad thing,” you remark. A warm chuckle erupts from your mother.
“Oh, I’m sure you two would do an amazing job.” She slings one arm over either of yours and Gunil’s shoulders, pulling you each into her sides. “But I like the house how it is right now.”
After your cute little reunion you all settle in. Your mom going off to her room for a bit. You were about to go off to your room to work on whatever you needed to get done, however before you can Seungmin stops you by gently grabbing your wrist. Before you can question what he’s doing his eyes shift over to Gunil, who was sitting on the couch, typing away on his laptop. You remember the conversation you had with Seungmin in the car about the intern fair. Then you nod in understanding and make your way over to Gunil. You sit down beside him and knock him with your elbow.
“What?” He turns to look at you.
“Stop overthinking it and do the intern fair,” you tell him.
“How did-” Gunil looks at you puzzledly then looks over to where Seunmgin is sitting at the kitchen table. Seungmin shrugs in response and Gunil sighs. He knows Seungmin must have told you about his troubles concerning the intern fair.
“You showing up only would be enough to get people to sign up for an internship,” you state. Gunil sighs again.
“But that’s not what I want. I want to show that Building Blocks is a really good company. I want people to apply for internships because they want to work for the company. Not work there because it’s my company,” he explained.
“Still we spent probably more than half of our childhood inside of those walls. You know what to say to show how great of a company Building Blocks is. Stop overthinking it.” Gunil remains silent for a few moments, letting your words sink in. He knew that you were right, but his head was still filled with doubts.
“But what if it doesn’t sound professional enough?” Gunil voiced his concern.
“It’s an intern fair not a business proposal. It doesn’t have to be the most professional thing ever. You’re just talking about the company, what they would do as interns there. Just explain how you would to a friend,” you tell him.
“See, you’re so much more cut out for this than I am,” Gunil says.
“Gunil I’m honestly not. You just get too caught up in your own head.” You poke your finger into his head. “Look if you’re too stressed about it I can help you put in together ok?” you offer.
“If you’re offering help I could probably use it too,” Seungmin says in a lighthearted tone, joining you and Gunil on the couch.
“I helped y’all through college, now I’m helping you run companies.” You shake your head jokingly.
“Just think of it as practice, cause Building Blocks will be yours soon enough,” Gunil says.
“Yeah, yeah, I know. You’re more than eager to pass it over to me, but in order to do that I need to graduate. So if you excuse me I’ll be going to work on my assignments now.” You stand up from the couch. “But seriously. Don’t. Think. About. It. So. Much.” You pat Gunil’s head a little harder than necessary in between words. Gunil smacks your hand away from his head.
“Go do your assignments,” he sends you away. You chuckle at his bossy tone as you walk away, heading to your room.
“So you can tell y/n about my problems, but you can’t confess your long time feelings for her?” Gunil turns to face Seungmin after you disappeared off to your room.
“First off, we both know you wouldn’t have been able to do the fair without her telling you too. Secondly, I can’t just confess to her. I’m pretty sure she only sees me as a brother too. She doesn’t really treat me any differently than how she treats you,” Seungmin said.
“‘Doesn’t really’ isn’t ‘the same’ now is it?” Gunil points out.
“We have an intern fair to get prepping for,” Seungmin adverts.
“Seungmin,” Gunil said sternly. “Are you just never going to tell her?”
“Shouldn’t you be going all protective big brother. ‘Stay away from my sister!’ right now?” Seungmin again tries to escape the conversation.
“Seungmin, let's be real you fell in love with her the second her little six year old hand grabbed your little nine year old one. I’m shocked she hasn’t caught on to how you really feel about her,” Gunil states.
“Fortunately she has other things preoccupying her mind,” Seungmin says. Gunil lets out a heavy sigh.
“I don’t think I can just watch you be silently in love with her for the rest of my life man,” he says.
“So what? Are you gonna rat me out?” Seungmin questions.
“Unfortunately, ratting out somebody’s feelings for someone else isn’t really cool, so no. However, I will start bothering you about confessing to her,” Gunil declares.
“Gunil please, I will tell her how I feel one day. I just don’t think now is the right time,” Seungmin states.
“No time like the present,” Gunil pokes.
“Just give me some more time,” Seungmin says.
“How much more time? Till we’re forty?” Gunil folds his arms.
“No, not till we’re forty. Just till I get it fingered out,” Seungmin defends.
“So forty,” Gunil sassed. Seungmin sighed, dropping his head.
“Not forty,” he refuted again. He doesn’t really know how to go about confessing to you though. How was he supposed to tell the girl that he had been in love with his entire life, that he had been in love with you his entire life? He wanted nothing more than to tell how he truly felt, but at the same time he had no clue how to get the words out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was the day of the intern fair and frankly as you stood outside of the double doors you seriously debated turning back and just ditching it. Despite the fact that you were so supportive about Gunil doing the intern fair, you were actually dreading it. Mainly because you know that once you walk in through those doors you will be no more than Gunil’s little sister. People won’t want you to intern at their company because you’re you. It will be because you’re Gunil’s little sister. With a deep breath you put on a brave face and walk in through the doors.
After entering the room your eyes scan the room, looking at all the different booths set up. Your eyes fell on where Seungmin was standing talking to a small group of students. A small smile graced your face as you watched Seungmin interacting with the students. He looked so natural as he went over the information in the pamphlet about his company.
“I’m a little shocked to see you here,” the voice of one of your classmates pulls you from your trance.
“Why?” you asked, turning to look at them.
“I just assumed you’d intern at your brother’s company. Seems like the simple thing to do,” they say.
“I’m not interning there. I don’t need people gossiping about how I was handed an internship,” you state. Your classmate nods understandingly.
“But with your last name companies will still probably be quick to offer you an internship you know?” they said. You let out a sigh.
“I know, I’m cursed into being Gunil’s little sister,” you responded. Your classmate’s lips draw into a line at your words.
“I’m sorry by the way,” they apologize.
“For what?” You gave them a slightly perplexed look.
“I just viewed you as Gunil’s little sister too, but after seeing you work in Architecture 102. I can see that you are a really good architect on your own. You don’t need your brother,” they expressed.
“Thanks, that means a lot actually. Most people don’t ever bother to try to get to know me after finding out Gunil is my brother,” you say.
“I will reluctantly say that I was one of them too, but then I overheard you explaining to your group mates during the earthquake simulator and I realized that you really did know what you were talking about,” they tell you.
“Thanks,” you say once more.
“Well, enjoy the fair,” your classmate tells you. You nod telling them a quick “you too” and part ways.
Admittedly the fair was already going better than you expected. However the real battle had not yet begun. You stand there for a few moments looking around the room, trying to decide which booth you should start with.
“If you don’t start with my booth I might be a little offended,” Seungmin spoke from over your shoulder making you jump. “Sorry,” Seungmin chuckles, placing his hand on your shoulder.
“Where did you come from?” you asked, eyes darting over to where his booth was and back at him.
“I saw you and wanted to say hi,” he tells you.
“Yet you didn’t start with that,” you said jokingly, making Seungmin laugh.
“You’re right, my bad. Hi y/n,” he greeted you properly.
“Hi,” you return with a subtle chuckle. “Show me your booth,” you add. Seungmin nods and leads you over to where his booth was. Once you’re at his booth he humors you by handing you a pamphlet and going over the information with you.
“Any questions?” he asked you playfully after he finished.
“Just one I suppose.” You pause for a second before continuing. “If I intern at your company do I get to see your pretty face everyday?”
“I know you’re saying that as a joke, but you’re actually not the first person to say that today,” he informs you.
“Are you serious?” you asked in disbelief.
“I wish I was joking,” he replies in all seriousness.
“How’s Gunil doing?” you change the topic of conversation.
“You can go over there and see for yourself you know?” He gestures over to where Gunil’s booth is set up. “He’d probably appreciate you popping in over there too.”
“Yeah I should,” you state, looking over at Gunil’s booth. Watching him as he organizes the pamphlets on the table. Despite knowing that you should. You find yourself feeling nervous about going over there.
“Go on,” Seungmin says, giving you an encouraging smile. You smile back and turn to walk towards Gunil’s booth. It feels like you can hear your steps echo throughout your ears as you approach Gunil’s booth.
“For someone who was so nervous you look pretty composed right now,” you say announcing your presence. Gunil looks up at you, letting out a breathy laugh.
“I’ve been managing, but you were also right. This isn’t as serious as it seemed in my head,” he states.
“See you just need to relax,” you say.
“That’s easier said than done. Have you checked out the other booths? Any ideas where you want to intern?” he questioned you.
“Not yet, I only stopped by Seungmin’s,” you tell him.
“Now who needs to relax,” he used your own words against you.
“Very funny,” you remark sarcastically. “Plus it’s not like I’m scared about going over there and talking to the people. It’s like how you want people to intern at our company because it’s a good company. Not because it’s your company. I want companies who want me to intern there because I’m me and not because I’m your sister,” you explain. A bit of a glum look took over Gunil’s face, but he perked up pretty quickly to say.
“Seungmin’s company would gladly take you for you.” A smile tugged at your lips.
“Yeah they would, but I feel like that’s taking the easy way out,” you voice.
“You can decide that after you check out the other companies,” Gunil tells you. You nod. Your conversation with Gunil ends shortly after that and you find yourself walking to the first booth in the line of booths.
Unfortunately visiting the other booths seemed to go just as you thought that they would. Once they found out you were Goo Y/n, Gunil’s sister they became ten times more interested in you and the topic naturally shifted over to him as well. You were able to keep up a foe happy persona for the first four booths, but by the eleventh and final booth you felt completely drained.
A big sigh fell from your lips as you sat outside in an empty courtyard. You stared at the mess of pamphlets in your hand, recalling all your conversations with the representatives running the booths.
“We would love to have Gunil’s little sister interning for us.” “Even if you’re half as good as your brother. You’d still be an amazing asset to us.” “Not that we wouldn’t be more than glad to steal you away from your brother, but why aren’t you interning there?”
“Are you ok?” a voice asked. You turn your head to see Seungmin standing a couple feet away by the door. He makes his way over to you, taking a seat beside you.
“None of them cared about my preferences or skill set. Once they found out my name was Goo they instantly were ready to offer me an internship,” you vent. “I really should hurry up and graduate. I don’t know how much longer I can put up with this.”
“Y/n,” Seungmin starts.
“No, I mean like I’m fine. It just feels really exhausting every now and then and I can’t even really blame Gunil, cause he hasn’t done anything. He actually is a really good brother. I guess it’s my fault, in a way, actually. I’m the one who helped him become the aritech that he is. I set the expectations upon myself really. It's just really frustrating that everyone assumes I get his help, you know? Like they’re constantly discrediting me. Is it really hard to believe that I can be a good architect on my own? Seriously, you know when I showed my Architecture 102 professor my first project he asked what Gunil thought of it? When I told him that I didn’t show him he didn’t believe me. He said that it would be silly to not show him. Others essentially have the same reaction when I say I don’t go to Gunil for help. They think I’m lying. I try my best to not let it bother me but it does,” you let out all your pent up feelings. Some tears gloss over your eyes.
“Y/n,” Seungmin says your name again.
“That too.” You take a breath. “I feel like I hardly even get called by my own name,” you say. A sniffle leaves your nose and a tear slips from your eye.
“You’ve always been y/n to me,” Seungmin tells you. He cups your face ever so gently in one. Almost as if you're made of glass. He swipes his thumb across your cheek, drying your tears. “Ever since I saw you sitting on your dad’s lap all those years ago.”
“I really miss my dad,” you smile sadly. “We were supposed to be architects together…and I was really looking forward to it.” Seungmin pulls you into a hug. He lovingly cradles the back of your head and rubs your back.
“I know,” he soothes you. “But you know he would be so proud of you. He talked about you being the future heir of Building Blocks when you were only seven. I’m sure he knows how amazing of an architect you would become.” He pulled away from the hug to look at you. “Plus you know what else?”
“What?” you ask.
“You inspired me to become an architect,” Seungmin tells you. Your eyes widen in surprise.
“I did? Weren’t you always going to become one because of your dad?” you asked.
“My dad wanted me to become one to eventually take over the company, yes, but I didn’t really want to be one until you,” he informs.
“What did I do to make you want to be one?” you question.
“You were so passionate about it and you always looked so at ease when you were drawing sketches or working on models. It made me think that maybe there were things I was missing. You made me want to fall in love with architecture.”
“And you did?” you smile.
“So hard and-” The words “and I fell even harder for you” were right on the tip of Seungmin’s tongue, yet he held them back. Maybe now wasn’t the best time to confess to you. You were already upset. A lot of your pent up emotions came spilling out of you. He didn’t really want to confess to you when you were feeling vulnerable.
“And?” you urged him to continue. Seungmin takes a breath and grabs the mess of pamphlets from your hands.
“And, I think this company would suit you best for interning.” He hands you the pamphlet for Archway Architecture.
“I was half expecting you to give me your company’s pamphlet,” you say with a slight chuckle.
“Oh if you want to come to Construct Creations I will welcome you with open arms, but this company's preferences and style are similar to yours. I think you would be a good fit there,” he tells you.
“Thank you,” you sincerely thank him.
“Don’t mention it. You know I’m always looking out for you,” he reminds you.
“I do and I appreciate it. Know that I’m here for you too,” you say. Seungmin smiles.
“I know and I appreciate that too.”
“And since I look out for you. It’s probably time for you to head back to your booth and draw more students in with your pretty face,” you lighten up the mood.
“Yeah, I probably should be getting back,” Seungmin stands up. “You sure you’re alright? I can leave Hyeongjun to fend for himself. His pretty face does a good job at bringing in people too.”
“I’m ok now Seungmin.” You stand up. “Get back to work.” you playfully shove him.
“Ok, ok, I’m going.” He raised his hands in defense. “But.” He turns around to face you and places his hand on the side of your head. “Let me know whenever you’re having a hard time, ok?”
“I will.” you nod. Seungmin nods as well and removes his hand from your head. He then turns to go back inside, taking one last look at you before he disappears behind the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“It's just really frustrating that everyone assumes I get his help, you know? Like they’re constantly discrediting me. Is it really hard to believe that I can be a good architect on my own? Seriously, you know when I showed my Architecture 102 professor my first project he asked what Gunil thought of it? When I told him that I didn’t show him he didn’t believe me. He said that it would be silly to not show him. Others essentially have the same reaction when I say I don’t go to Gunil for help. They think I’m lying.” Gunil overhears your words from the other side of the door. He feels a heavy weight tug on his chest. He knew that you had a hard time due to being his little sister. That you could get casted into his shadow, but he didn’t think it was this bad. Certainly people could see how great of an architect you were? If people paid any attention to you at all it would be easy to see that.
“Oh Gunil it’s you. I was hoping I would get to see you today when I heard you were coming.” The Architecture 102 professor greets Gunil.
“Yeah, long time no see,” Gunil greets back.
“So how’s it been running a company now?” the professor questioned.
“Oh I can’t wait to pass it over to y/n. The business running side of things has never really been my forte,” Gunil answers.
“Pass it over to y/n?” the professor repeats.
“Yes, she’s so much better at working the business side and she’s a better architect in general. She has been helping me since I started college. You know that first project you have us to do? Building the model.”
“Yeah it’s my mandatory first assignment, but are you telling me y/n helped you with yours?” the professor checked.
“She tried,” Gunil chuckles as he thinks back at the memory. “I showed it to her the night before and she told me that the doors didn’t match with the overall style of the house. That they looked out of place, but at that time I was in my first year of college and she was still a mere highschooler. I pulled the I’m a college student I’m sure I know better than you card. And you know what you said to me about my model?” Gunil tells the story.
“That the doors looked like they didn’t belong,” the professor finishes.
“It was quite the humbling moment. I always listened to her after that though. I had to get the y/n stamp of approval before I turned anything in.”
“And you graduated top of your class,” the professor notes.
“Owe it all to my sister,” Gunil says proudly. “I can only hope that I can be as good as her one day,” he adds. Your Architecture 101 professor feels a great amount of guilt stirring in his stomach. Here your brother was talking so highly of you, so proudly of you and all this time he was thinking that you were going to Gunil for help. It’s not like he didn’t think you were a good architect. He’s seen how you work in class, but he definitely thought that Gunil was playing a part in your skills.
“So she’s the brains behind the operation?” He asked with a bit of a self-reproached tone.
“You could definitely put it like that,” Gunil chuckles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Y/n can I speak to you for a moment?” your Architecture 102 professor asked you after class.
“Did he just refer to me by my name?” you look at Jiseok with a surprised and confused look.
“I think he did,” Jiseok replied with a just as confused and surprised look.
“Well, let’s catch up after,” you say.
“For sure,” Jiseok said. Jiseok makes his way out of class and you head over to your professor's desk.
“You wanted to talk to me?” you state.
“Yeah I talked to Gunil at the fair the other day,” your professor started. You nod along. “I owe you an apology,” he told you.
“For what?” you ask.
“Gunil told me that you were the one who helped him through college and that you’re still helping him now,” he discloses. “So I’m sorry for thinking that you needed your brother’s help to be as good as you are,” he apologized.
“I learned most of my skills from my father,” you state.
“That shows a lot in your work honestly. Your style actually differs a lot from your brother’s, so thinking back on it I’m not sure why I was so convinced that you were using him for help,” he says.
“Once people assume that I’m using him for help they don’t really think about it,” you said. “Once they cast me into his shadow, they don’t care about actually getting to know me,” you added.
“I’m sorry that I was one of them too. I especially feel that as a professor I should have known better,” your professor apologizes again.
“I really appreciate your apology sir,” you express.
“Gunil is really proud of you too, you know?” he checks. You let out a bit of an awkward chuckle.
“I mean surely there is some part of me that knows he is, but it is kinda awkward to have those kinds of sentimental talks with your sibling,” you say. Your professor chuckles at your words.
“Yeah I get that. Somedays I wouldn’t be caught dead telling my brother I love him,” he laughs lightly.
“Well if that’s all, I’ll get going now,” you dismiss yourself. You walk out of class feeling lighter. Like maybe you weren’t destined to spend your whole life stuck in Gunil’s shadow.
When you met up with Jiseok to tell him what just happened his eyes grew as wide as saucers, but he recovered quickly to throw a humorous comment.
“So I don’t have to accidentally whack him with my carrying tube anymore?” he played.
“I still think that that would be a funny sight, but no I suppose there is no reason for you to accidentally whack him anymore,” you reply.
“This is a good thing, but it feels really weird,” Jiseok notes.
“Oh I know,” you chuckle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“My Architecture 102 professor apologized to me the other day,” you notified Gunil. The two of you were sitting at the kitchen island working on getting stuff done.
“He did?” Gunil asked. You nod.
“It was because of what you told him at the intern fair,” you say. Your statement makes Gunil think back to the internfair, but not the conversation he had with your Architecture 102 professor. The one he overheard you having with Seuingmin.
“You know I have been meaning to talk to you, but I didn’t really know how to bring it up,” he says.
“Bring what up?” you question, feeling a bit confused at his words.
“I overheard you talking with Seungmin a bit. About how people always assume that you get help from me when it comes to architecture. That it feels like they’re constantly discrediting you,” he speaks with a hesitant and careful voice.
“You heard that?” you ask, feeling a little bad. As frustrating as it was to go through it was never Gunil’s fault either.
“I never realized how hard of a time you had because of me,” he tells you with a sorrowful look in his eyes.
“It wasn’t your fault. You are a good brother,” you say.
“Then why did you never tell me?” he questioned.
“I didn’t want to stress you out any more than you already were. Plus what really was there for you to do?” you explain.
“Something, I don’t know what, but certainly I could have done something.” You could hear the upsetness in his voice.
“Gunil this is why I didn’t want to tell you. I didn’t want you to be upset,” you tell him. Gunil takes a calming breath.
“I’m not upset…No I am, but how could I not be? You’re the best architect I know and you’re telling me that no one has been acknowledging your skills. It is upsetting,” he firmly states.
“Not no one. Jiseok has always acknowledged my skills. He became my best friend for a reason you know and obviously Seungmin treasures my skills. He’s always been there for me,” you smiled. Gunil smiles too. He’s glad that you have people around you who support you, but he still wishes that you got the recognition you deserve.
“You know sometimes I can’t help but think that if dad was still here how different things would be,” Gunil admits. The atmosphere of the room falls to a more somber mood.
“I think about that too,” you share. “My dream wasn’t just to be an architect, but to be an architect alongside him. I wanted to work with him on projects. I mean I know technically did, but like I wanted to do it when we were both professionals,” you disclose. Gunil nods.
“I know, you were practically dad’s right hand man. I kinda regret not spending more time with him,” Gunil reveals.
“Gunil you were being a regular kid, running around and playing. I was the weird one who would rather work on models than play with toys,” you laugh. Gunil can’t help but laugh as well.
“That’s true you were a weird kid,” Gunil jokes. “I still wished I spent more time with him though. Then I wouldn’t have to rely on you so much.”
“He left us suddenly, so there are lots of things we didn’t get to do,” you say in a voice filled with penitence. “But I think he would be super proud of us,” you try to bring the mood back up.
“He would be proud of you for sure, but I feel like a let down sometimes,” Gunil disclosed.
“Do not say that!” you smack him upside the head. “You are not a let down,” you tell him.
“I struggle so much with running the company though. It’s hard to not feel like a let down.” He rubs the back of his head.
“Dad never expected you to run the company. He knew you were never into that. He would be so proud that you still took the task of running Building Blocks on,” you state. “You know I’m right, so don’t even try to say otherwise,” you quickly say before he can argue with you. Gunil sighs, knowing that he is at defeat.
“This was supposed to be about me confronting you for hiding your struggles from me. How did you flip the tables on me?”
“Cause I’m ok Gunil. It does get rough from time to time and I do have my moments, but I always pull through,” you say.
“I just wish it wasn’t like that for you,” he said.
“It’s fine, Seungmin was really good at picking up when I was having a hard time. He always knows how to make me feel better too,” you told. Gunil smirks and lets out a mix of a smirk and a scoff.
“Obviously he is. Seungmin never wants to see you sad. He always wants to make you happy,” he said.
“He does,” you replied without thinking much of it.
“He’d be very pleased to hear that,” Gunil remarks with a hint of something in his voice.
“What do you mean?” you questioned.
“Are you really that oblivious?” Gunil remarked.
“Huh? Oblivious to what?” you shrug your shoulders.
“Do you see Seungmin as another brother?” he asked. You paused for a moment to think. You didn’t really understand why Gunil was asking you this, but it did make you realize that you didn’t view Seungmin as another brother.
“No, I don’t. He’s…Seungmin” you chuckle. “Why are you asking though?”
“Cause I don’t wait till I’m forty,” Gunil answers, but it only makes you more confused.
“What?” Gunil shakes his head as he sighs.
“You should understand soon, hopefully,” he replies. You and Gunil’s focus returns to the work in front of you, but a piece of your mind is still wondering what Gunil was talking about.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Congrats on finishing your second year of college,” Seungmin says, taking a seat beside you on the couch. It was nighttime and you were just basking in the feeling of not having to get any work or studying done.
“Thanks, I got two more to go though,” you say.
“You got it no problems.” Seungmin nudges you lightly.
“I wouldn’t say no problems. You know I had a few moments this year,” you chuckle. Of course Seungmin knows that. Cause it became increasingly harder for him to keep his feelings for you in each time he watched you go through a hard time.
“Yeah, but I was always there for you wasn’t I?” he reminded.
“You’re always here for me,” you nudged him back. Seungmin was quiet for a moment, seemingly thinking about something before he answered.
“Cause I care about you,” he spoke.
“I care about you too,” you return.
“No, I mean…” he trails off. He wants to tell you how he feels so bad, yet he also doesn’t know if this is the right time. Should he make it more special? He feels like telling the person that he’s loved for his love life that he loves them should be more special. However, he also kind of thinks that special enough doesn’t exist. That if he keeps holding himself back he may actually turn forty before he ever confesses to you and that would be much too late.
“You mean what?” you asked.
“Do you remember the first day that we met?” he questioned you.
“Of course it was at my dad’s office. I was sitting on my dad’s lap working on a model with him when you and your dad came in,” you recalled.
“You held my hand too.” Seungmin placed his hand over where yours rested on the couch.
“Yeah I did, so that our dads could talk,” you state.
“I barely knew your name then, yet I still didn’t want you to let go of my hand once you held it,” he tells you.
“Seriously?” you ask. Feeling very aware of his hand that was on top of yours, especially as he wrapped his fingers around your hand to hold it.
“Mhm” he hummed. “And remember how I told you that you made me want to be an architect? That you made me want to fall in love with architecture,” he checked. You nodded. “As I fell in love with architecture I also fell in love with you too. Actually I probably fell for you first,” he confessed.
“You love me?-Like love love me? Romantically?” you check with a bit of a shocked stutter. Seungmin smiles and holds your hand tighter.
“Yes, I love you romantically. Has that really not been obvious?” Suddenly you recall your conversation a couple months back.
“He’d be very pleased to hear that,” Gunil remarks with a hint of something in his voice.
“What do you mean?” you questioned.
“Are you really that oblivious?” Gunil remarked.
Maybe you really were that oblivious. Seungmin’s care for you always did feel different from how Gunil’s felt, so that’s probably why you never viewed him as a brother, yet you never picked up on the real reasoning behind it either. Now you feel a little stupid for not realizing it.
“I really was that oblivious,” you laugh lightly.
“Yeah, you were. I don’t know if I'm grateful for it or not,” Seungmin laughed too. “Maybe I would have confessed sooner if you picked up on it,” he adds.
“I mean you did it before you hit forty,” you say jokingly.
“How did you know that?” questioned with his eyebrows raised.
“It really confused me at the time, but Gunil said something about not wanting to wait until he was forty,” you explained.
“Dude tried to out me,” Seungmin played.
“Yeah, but I was dense as a rock apparently, so it didn’t do anything,” you say. Seungmin laughs, squeezing your hand tighter and you realize that you quite like the feeling of his hand holding yours. “And even though I was as dense as a rock. You always made me happy,” you tell him.
“Then are you saying?” He looked at you with hopeful eyes.
“Maybe I obliviously fell in love with you too,” you reveal, making Seungmin’s eyes light up.
“So, I can ask you to be mine then?” he questioned. You smiled, squeezing his hand.
“Yes, I’ll be yours,” you answer.
“I’d say that I’ll be yours too, but I’ve already been yours for a long time,” he says.
“Ok, that was cheesy,” you lean away from him, but Seungmin pulls you into a hug now instead.
“Whatever, I’ve been in love with you since I was nine. Let me be a little cheesy,” he said, resting his chin over your shoulder. You wrap your arms around him too and lean your head against his.
“I guess I can let it slide considering that” you say playfully. Seungmin feels his heart fill with warmth, just as it did when he was nine years old and you grabbed his hand. Only this time it was so much better. You were his now. His to hold and love. He surely was never gonna let you go.
Gunil happens to walk down stairs seeing you and Seungmin embraced.
“If that’s not a we’re dating now hug. I’m going to be very disappointed,” he says, breaking your and Seungmin’s cute little moment. The two of you pull away from each other to look at where Gunil is standing, leaning against the chair diagonally across from the two of you on the couch.
“I told you I’d do it before we were forty,” Seungmin responded. He holds your hand in his again, lifting it up.
“I honestly doubted that, but I’m very happy to have been proven wrong,” Gunil said. He stands there for a few more moments before standing up straight. “Ok, I’ll leave you two alone now,” he excused himself.
“At least don’t have to worry about him being an overprotective ‘stay away from my little sister’ big brother,” you joke.
“Oh, I think he was ready to shove you into my arms if I didn’t confess soon,” Seungmin says. You chuckle at the mental image of Gunil doing that. You and Seungmin sink against the back of the couch, your head falling onto his shoulder.
“You know I think I feel as at ease as when I work on models when I’m with you,” you voice after several minutes of silence, just enjoying one another’s company. The warm feeling spreads even farther across Seungmin’s chest. His heart filled entirely with happiness.
“I think that’s the biggest compliment you could ever give me.” He wraps his arm around you, letting you fall into his side.
“Maybe.” You adjust your head to lay on his chest. That’s where the two of you stay for the rest of the night and if Seungmin could have his way he would have you to stay like that for the rest of your lives. He loves nothing more than having you be by his side and you could say the same.

You Deserve Better, and Other Points for Reflection
Hey friends, listen up. Real talk for a second, because nobody deserves this. And, in case anybody cares, I want you to know I come with 12 years of learning on this exact debate we have been having, because I had some very excellent fandom mentors in my communities and in the form of my uncles, who to this day support me writing and reading whatever hell I please, even in the face of protest from my immediate family. There was a lot of learning I had to do to be here with you now, and I am thankful for those people who were willing to tell me so.
If you want to post memes and think pieces and jokes and poems about a fandom debate, go ahead! You create the experience you want to see on your dash, and you will find your people.
If you want to discuss a fandom debate (a little or a lot), go ahead! I’m all for thinking through how we live and act and exist as a fan community.
If you feel that you need to take those things and turn them into vitriol to pour into the DMs and Anons of people who are running a fan week, that is not okay. Not in the slightest.
There is a big difference between debate, discussion, creative protest, and joking around, and intentionally using your words to create harm in someone’s life.
“But, Chaos, this [thing not directly sent to you/not specifically intended for you] hurt my feelings!”
Okay. Get burned once? Great! You learned something: don’t touch the hot iron again. (To translate: block the tag, block the person, whatever you need, and move on. If it isn’t for you that’s ok.) Hurt feelings are to tell you what you can and/or are willing to handle. If you don’t want to see it, block. (I love blocking tags it’s one of my little joys in life lol)
“Chaos, somebody said something really rude to me to my (virtual) face! What do I do?”
Well, you can either respond or you can block. Either way, it will probably help you to move on.
If you are responding, I beg you to keep one thing in mind. I want you to picture 7 year old you at the other end of that message. Or 13 year old you. What kind of words did they deserve to hear in a moment when maybe they weren’t getting something? Use those. Use them kindly, not in a condescending way, but in a “I want to explain this as gently as I would to my younger self” kind of way. If somebody keeps being mean, it isn’t worth it. Please use the block feature and move on. They are not worth your time.
Additionally, I would encourage you to do this: the “touch grass” mentality is something I only direct at myself. (I literally told myself to go touch grass yesterday, and there is at least one person who can corroborate that.) I stand by that decision every single day. It’s kept me out of a lot of trouble. Directing it at others does not end well, but directing it at yourself can be a good way to reflect and to consider sensible actions in the face of overwhelming situations or emotions (of which I experience many).
“Chaos, people are coming into anon and being hateful. Or just rude. Or they’re dumping triggering material into my anons.”
That is on them. That is not on you. They should not do that. And I am so sorry you are dealing with that. I’m going to be honest, I don’t know if you can block from anons (I’ve never even needed to look and so help you all if this is the post that makes me) but if you can, do. I will do what I can to help, if you need it. Regardless of where you stand on any of these issues, because I will not stand for hatred.
“I’m mad about [redacted] and I am going to be rude/mean/intentionally putting triggering material in people’s inboxes and activity feeds!”
You do that and you will be in a world of hurt, my friend. A world of hurt from yourself.
Because we create the experience we think we deserve. If you create an internet experience where it is acceptable to be hateful, vengeful, and downright cruel to other people, that is the experience you will receive in return. You deserve better than that. And if you believe that you deserve better than that but the people you’re directing cruelty towards don’t, then I want you to hear me: you will quickly find that you are not welcome anywhere. There will always be someone to disagree with. There will always be (at least) minute discrepancies in the way two or more people think, even people who are deeply similar.
Hurt the hand that reaches to help you- one day it will be raised against you in hurt as well.
As for me? Well, for that, I leave you with thoughts from George Washington’s Farewell address as paraphrased in Hamilton’s ‘One Last Time’:
“Though, in reviewing the incidents of my administration, I am unconscious of intentional error, I am nevertheless too sensible of my defects not to think it probable that I may have committed many errors.”
I am not a president (and thank god for that because who wants Chaos in charge of a country?). I am simply a fandom member. A writer. A little chaos gremlin lurking behind trees in the forest.
But like Mr. Washington, I am aware that I often fail to live up to my standards and principles. And I hope, truly, though it is wildly uncomfortable for me, that you would call me out for ways I have failed to uphold them, either in the past or in the future. (It would be super great if you like… called me out in DMs and didn’t put me on blast but oh well.)
I am in at least four other major (international, GIANT) fandoms. I am not hopeful enough to think that the ACOTAR fandom will learn from the fandoms of yore. We will have to weather these storms on our own, even with the knowledge and experiences already there. I think that’s okay. Disappointing, perhaps, but okay.
Since this post was much longer than it was intended to be, I will summarize:
If you are intentionally putting hateful materials in the inboxes, DMs, and activity feeds of people you disagree with, you will hurt yourself.
You create the experience you think you deserve, and in doing so, create that experience for others. Good or bad.
Block tags, block blogs, block what you need to enjoy the space. You will find your people.
Being intentionally cruel to other human persons is how you end up finding that nobody is “your people” because you created an environment where no one wants to be. You will be lonely and sad. Don’t make yourself lonely and sad.
I am certain I fail to uphold these principles at times. Feel free to call me out if you see me failing at these. DM appreciated, but I’m the one who invited you to do so so I’m not going to say “don’t blast me on main.” My funeral, I know.

Boundaries
Just to address a few things
Scroll to the bottom to see the gist of it but if you had any questions about certain things that are okay/not okay.
Taglists: You won’t get blocked for asking lol. I know it’s a common thing, but I just don’t do it. It’s hard enough to have the motivation to post and so many of you ask to be tagged in the next part that it’s a lot for me to keep up with.
Negative comments: I like criticism when it helps. If all you’re going to say is “hey, this sucks” I’m gonna block you lol. I don’t get paid to do this. But if you are saying “hey this makes me think reader is white or black or less ambiguous” point. it. out. Please. If it is going to help me improve my writing or your experience reading it, say something. If you don’t wanna comment, message me. But being like “your characters are pieces of shit” doesn’t help and idgaf about listening to your opinion on that. But if something makes you feel out of place or I should have put a trigger warning and forgot, tell me.
Update?: I will no longer respond or engage with readers who ask for an update on the chapter and that’s it. Not what you liked or that you liked it in general. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I won’t engage in a simple ‘when are you updating?’ in my asks. If you say “I liked _____.” “I can’t believe they ____” along side it, that’s perfectly okay.
Rudeness: you’ll be blocked. This isn’t goodreads. I’m not getting paid for this. This is a hobby. If you shit on my hobby, I will block you. If you are rude to other readers, you will be blocked.
Spamming with likes, comments, reblogs: I’ve said it once and l’ll say it again. You are not being annoying. You are not making me upset by going through my blog and reblogging whatever you want. I love that you are finding content you enjoy whether I wrote it or not. Idc if I get 99+ notifications because of you or see your name pop up on a daily. I do not mind. Quite the opposite 🫶🏻 don’t feel like you’re ever being annoying for trying to engage.
Requests: my requests are always open, but I may not always get to it. Right now I have 243 asks 💀 but you’re always welcome to send asks. Even repeatedly with different scenarios.
Political/religious views: my political and religious views are not always reflected in my writing, but I’ll go ahead and clear the air. Personally, I don’t think I could go through with an abortion or write about it, but I have literally offered to pay for abortions for my friends or hold their hand if that’s the route they chose. I am pro choice. From what I have read and my understanding of the situation, I am pro-Palestine. I am anti-military, pro-veteran. I am left leaning. I am a Catholic trying my best. I celebrate other religious holidays with my friends like Diwali and Ramadan when I can. I don’t care who you love as long as it’s not a minor.
In short, ways to get blocked:
Being rude to me
Being rude to others
Trying to argue about how a story should be written
Trying to bring your own politics onto MY blog.
Finding out you’re a minor.

Hello, Can we be friends please?
>.<
“Yunho…” you sobbed uncontrollably. Your eyes slowly fluttered open as you rubbed it to look at the door if he was there but there was no one. Complete darkness covering your surroundings, only a tiny night lamp lit in the corner of the room. You wiped your tears before staring at the door for a few seconds and decided to sit up straight.
I should end everything.
However, something was blocking you. Your heart and your mind are conflicting with each other. You scoffed at yourself. How could you even think about them this way? No one cares about you. It’s just a show for them and you are a puppet. The darkness should engulf you and make you disappear forever.
It would end your misery.
You stood up and went straight towards the book-shelf. The first thing they gifted you after moving into the house with them --- all your favorite books you wanted with the ordered shelf. The anger bubbled inside you and hot tears slipped down your cheeks, you grabbed the first book and threw it against the door, followed by the second one. You threw every book and items decorated on the shelf around the room, wanting to end their façade of love visible to you.
Whatever you could see in the dimly lit room, you threw it away. There were loud thud sounds with each banging effect and you were sure one of them had heard you. Is that going to make them angry?
You immediately reached out for the lamp and when you were about to throw it, the door slammed open. Your hand trembled, heart beating fast and your breath heaved. A tall figure appeared in the doorway, you couldn’t see his face but his aura was calming yet dangerous. He didn’t speak a word but took a step forward, you gulped and raised the hand with the lamp towards him.
“don’t take a step ahead. I will hurt you…I will kill you.”
He again took a step but paused, “you are not going to do anything, y/n. You are a good person.”
You shook your head, “I don’t want to be a good one. I want to be freed from here.”
“I can’t let you go.” He calmly said.
“Yunho, please…” the light falling on your face, revealing your pained expression, more to say it was tiredness all over your face. Your bloodshot eyes, tear stained face and cuts all over your cheeks and arms. Somehow, it made his heart ache and he inhaled deeply.
“y/n…listen to me.”
“NO! I won’t.” you shouted at him.
“You never want to hurt me. I know we are bad. But you shouldn’t be bad like us. Calm down. Listen to yourself. Look at the mirror beside you. This is not who you are.” Your face turned towards the mirror beside you, the lamp in your hand illuminating your teary face. The tired and angry tears streaming down. You have to go.
This is not you, y/n. they have made you like this.
A large grip held your forearm and snatched the lamp from you. Your wide eyes looked at the figure in the dark standing in front of you.
“are you out of your fucking mind? What were you trying to do?” Hongjoong’s loud voice echoed inside the room but you didn’t flinch, neither said a word. You kept staring at him. when did he enter?
“I trusted you, Joong.”
He was breathing heavily. It was clearly evident that he was furious at the moment, “then don’t do this stupid stuff. What mess have you made here?”
“you messed up my happy life.”
He licked his lip, brushing his hair before replying, “y/n, listen to me. You are safe here and we are here to protect you. We love you.”
“Then why are you hurting me?” you looked straight into his eyes and then glanced towards Yunho standing just a few steps behind him. Hongjoong asked him to turn on the lights but he didn't. He was glued to his spot and blankly watching you both. A third figure appeared at the doorway. He leaned against it and picked up a frame near his tip of the boot.
The ring in his finger made it clear that it was San. What is he doing here? Is he going to lock you up again? Or do that…your body shivered on the thought. Hongjoong held your shoulders tightly and ordered, “go freshen up, yourself and I will bring you dinner.” He turned his face, “ask the maids to clean this room quickly. She will sleep in my room tonight.”
“I won’t be staying with you in your room.” Your loud voice made him look towards you. He was calming himself not to mess the situation anymore. You again muttered, “I want to go somewhere. Far away…far away from here.”
“and where?” The other two male’s present there had their attention on you as well.
“anywhere but not here.”
“Y/n…”
“San, take Hongjoong with you and leave from here. I need some time alone with her.” Yunho cut off Hongjoong’s words and the eldest poked his tongue at his attitude. He nodded and stared at you. San stepped forward, keeping the frame on the table and placing a hand on the eldest’s shoulder and urged him to leave you with Yunho. Hongjoong shrugged his hand away, leaving your shoulder and glared at you before leaving the room. Before turning back, San glanced at you, he wanted to say something but he didn't. He kept quiet, just watched you looking at the doorway from where he left.
He couldn’t say anything because he shouldn’t.
He turned around and quietly left the room.
Leaving behind only Yunho and you.
“Why are you making it hard for us, y/n?”
Your gaze fell on his tall figure. He was walking towards you. You didn’t stop him, neither say anything nor showed any emotion. Just blankly staring at him. but you did hear his question…’making hard for them’…how?
He stopped in front of you, cupping your cheeks to make you look up, “please love us back, y/n.”
How? You all don’t even love me then…what are they expecting from you?
You looked into his orbs. Tears were lining the vision. He was crying. The moonlight peeking inside the room and falling on both of you so that at least you could see each other’s face.
“Please talk to me, y/n. don’t be quiet.”
“Will you say everything to me? why and how?” you whispered to him but he could hear you as he nodded.
“I will tell you everything you want to hear from me.”
“Then tell me…why am I here? Please be honest with me.”
His thumb caressed your cheeks, “you belong to here. To me. to us.” You shook your head, didn’t want to hear the same words again and again. You held his wrist to remove his touch but he gripped it tighter. “look at me and listen to me.”
“I don’t want to hear those same things.”
“don’t you appreciate our friendship? Our efforts to make you happy and make you feel special. Everyone in the school is jealous of you. Do you know that? They wish to be in your place. You are so lucky, y/n.”
“no, I’m not. You all are monsters!”
He chuckled, “yes we are. We keep it secured to us when we want something. And we want you.”
“please let me go. I miss my home.”
“and I will miss you. If I let you go, what will happen to me, y/n? don’t you care for me?”
“NO! I don’t care about anything. We were friends, Yunho. We were good friends. I accepted you all. I liked being with you all. It was so nice and comforting to spend time with all of you but you all have changed. It was just a plan for you to get to this point.”
He remained calm and quiet. Just the way you hate them. You know they won’t speak any of the things you wanted to know. If he is not going to say anything then you would say all you want.
“Why did we become friends back then? You all played with my innocence. You all made my childhood a lie. All those happy memories of us…those fun and promises. Those were fake, right? What do you even want from me? I was just lonely and wanted some friends to share my days…and I really did make the worst decision.” You were glaring but your tired eyes were betraying you and the tears made your vision blurry. The way he was disappearing in the vision, you wanted him to go away from there like that.
But you did love him……maybe a little bit.
“y/n…” his hands fell from your cheek to the wrists, holding it firmly, not caring about your raging eyes but bringing your palms to his lips and softly kissed them, “you are everything to us, y/n. We are doing this for you. Why can’t you accept it? You are having a misconception about us. We are not as bad as you think. It’s you who is making it seem like something else. I love you.”
“No, Yunho…NO…don’t tell me I’m wrong. I know this is going to end in the worst way and one day…you all will regret what you have done.” You snatched your hands from him and stepped back, he carefully watched your attempt to search something.
You bent down and quickly grabbed a tiny object before he could get the grip of it, you held it in front of you, “I will end this today. You all can’t keep me here. Never.”
“y/n, calm down..” he raised his hand but not stepping in your boundary, “you are not going to do anything stupid. You don’t want to hurt me.”
“hurt you?” you laughed, feeling stupid and anger rising with every second, “I really don't do stupid things like hurting you…I wont hurt you because I love you, Yunho and I don’t hurt someone I love.” You took deep breaths, “I’m going to end myself.”
“No!” It was a piece of broken glass.
He immediately reached out his hand at you and held your wrist, turning you around and a small yelp you let out when he threw you on the bed, holding your hands above your head and you were crying and wiggling under his hold.
“y/n, please don’t do this. Please…”
He was crying on top of you. You didn’t say anything as you laid frozen. You lightly tried to push him away but he didn’t budge and he was staring at you, promising a lot of dreams. Again those fake promises.
You looked away from him but as soon as you did, his lips landed on you. Your breathing stopped but you didn’t fight back. You remained surprisingly calm and felt his body weight moved above you. You shut your eyes and he was still staring at you. Titling his head, he got more access. You weren’t kissing back since you’re afraid and lost. He became rough but sometimes slowed down. It was like he was arguing with himself.
“I love you, y/n.”
Not a single reply came out of you. You were just closing your eyes and silently crying. He moved to his side, sitting up and pulled you to his embrace, cradling in his lap and lulled you to sleep, you didn’t protest. You always felt secure in his arms and you hated it the most. As he felt your breath even out and weakly lying in his embrace. He stroked your hair a few times and kissed your temple. Standing up with you in his arms, he went outside the room and walked through the passageway towards his room, where he knew Hongjoong was waiting for him and… you too.
But the thing he didn’t notice was someone standing at the end of the passageway, curling his fist tightly and clenching his teeth. He was not liking the view of his friend carrying you. He hated it. to say it more, he wanted to be him. He should be there. Not him. not them. No one else. Only him.
A hand placed on his shoulder, “Yeosang, what are you watching?”
“I want her.” He turned to his side, “San, I want to keep her with me forever.”
San shook his head, “the stupidity of including her in our life will end us forever someday. And you will regret it. we should have just let her be our friend. not more than that.”
“She is meant to be ours.”
>>>><<<<
Time must have passed well. The boys…well your boys are always kind towards you. Well, sort of. Sometimes, they make you nervous and afraid of them but rest aside, you are really comfortable --- just a reminder that some of them are still not in your go to list.
Even though you are laughing with them, going out with them, getting looks from others because of them and to say less, they have fired some employees because apparently, they heard nonsense about you from them. They are a bit possessive, too much and do you complain about it? of course not. You feel so special and developing feelings for them is an addition to it.
You have gained so many new memories. Some even you remake them. You were afraid to death to convince Seonghwa, San and Hongjoong but surprisingly you didn’t have to work hard because Hongjoong was the first one to tell others to support your ideas.
Just like two months back, you all went to a playground…say it childish but you enjoyed to your fullest and one thing you can’t deny that they all were admiring you. As if you are the person, they always wanted to look at and to have in front of them forever. This really made you wonder why you then left them. Wait! Why did you change your school back then?
One thing you are sure that you grew up in an orphanage but there was a family whose silhouette you could see – not fully but it felt as if you were close to them yet not. Apart from that, you have remembered your life during middle school. Why did you forget them? The memories are so comforting and filled with joy. How you wish to not forget them again!
Wooyoung, Jongho, Mingi and Yunho really told you everything about those times and it did help you more to regain memories fast. Well medicines are playing a huge part too. You haven’t told them about the weekend's check-up with your psychiatrist but you doubt Seonghwa knows about it.
.
.
.
“Are you okay?”
You smiled, showing how comfortable you are with him, “I’m alright.”
But inside, you are fangirling him and freaking out. He is all in a denim outfit with a sunglass resting on top of his head. Can he look more attractive and handsome than he is? You pat your cheek to calm yourself and watch him moving around his cabin.
“I didn’t ask you to stand the whole day. You can sit if you want.”
You laughed suddenly, he looked at you weirdly but returned back towards the shelf. Your slow embarrassing steps take you to the chair and place yourself on it. Why did you laugh? You don’t forget a chance to present yourself like a fool in front of them. Especially in front of Hongjoong. tapping your feet a few times while curiously watching him. you didn’t notice the person standing behind you.
“Is he that interesting to watch?”
“what the fuck!” you placed a hand over your chest and turned your head around. Wooyoung was standing with a wide mischievous grin on his face. You swear you will throw him away from this building If he doesn’t stop scaring you like this. “can’t you make your presence known before you open your mouth?”
He laughed out aloud and soon got a smack from Hongjoong with a file. Ah! The handsome man returned back to you.
“I am that irresistible to watch. And I am so blessed to get her attention on me this whole time.”
Nevermind, he is handsome but he speaks like stupid like others.
“Am I right, y/n?”
“huh?” he raised a brow at you, tilting his head to the side and waiting for your reply. You nod your head, agreeing with him without even knowing to what but still you replied correctly, moreover to boost his ego, “you are looking handsome today, I must say.”
Hongjoong smirks to which you roll your eyes and he swiftly turns to his right to sit on the chair across you around the table.
“You look beautiful, like always.” You blink at him, but soon reply with a light ‘thank you’ and a little smile. An utterly handsome man complimenting you in a very sincere way is just like in fairytales and you are living that dreamy life. You won in life. You are so blessed to get these good-looking best friends --- wait lovers?
He passes you a few files to start with the work for the day.
One thing is to think about, you could remember the first kiss you shared with Yunho at the rooftop, still not sure of the second kiss --- was that really Seonghwa? You can remember the times spent with each one of them. But San --- you haven’t spent enough time with him. why? Was he always this distant from you? But why? But you could feel something is different about the times you have spent with Wooyoung and Yunho then it’s different with Mingi and Jongho and then Hongjoong and San, and in the last Seonghwa and Yeosang. Were you really close with each of them?
Mingi and Jongho had the innocent times with you, the laughs, the silly times at the playground and running around the neighborhood. But the times with Yunho and Wooyoung, there are those secret glances, the admiration, the blooming innocent love --- of course you loved them back then. Right? Forget about it.
Then comes Yeosang, you have bittersweet memories with him. He was always the dual personality type. He would snap at you all someday and the other day, he would again treat you like the most precious one. You loved him but somehow this feeling raised goosebumps on your skin. why?
Now comes the rest three --- you do believe they have the most part of your forgotten past.
Anyways, it’s past, not that it matters to you at the moment.
They are the family you have and you love them.
You are just being paranoid again.
But what if you had a family? There’re still some mysteries apart from all the happy memories. You are just one step behind from knowing all those pasts.
Just the nightmares one. Where you can see people comforting you yet you can't feel the warmth of it. where you can see someone smiling at you but you are scared of it. you can see someone caring and protecting you still you want to run away. Why can't you see the faces? And why do they seem so familiar?
Then you can hear screaming, crying, running away and …home.
Your scared and lost eyes do get noticed by Hongjoong.
It’s clear you are zoning out while helping him out with paperworks. Meanwhile, Wooyoung left when he got a call from San.
“y/n? hey…” he noticed tears flowing down your cheeks, he quickly got up from his chair and got to you, turning your chair around. You flinch on how tightly his grip holds your wrist. Your teary eyes staring at him. He put the pen away from you and wiped the tears. His touch and gestures are so soft and careful not to scare you more. “Why are you crying?”
You blink while shaking your head sideways as you feel salty tears slid into your lips. You immediately wipe it with your fist before smiling again. He again held your wrist and calmly asked, “tell me, y/n. what happened?”
“nothing. It's really nothing, Joong.”
You are crying. This is not good. You can’t cry in front of him.
Not again.
“Look at me,” Hongjoong firmly pulled your chin as his stern yet a softness hiding behind the eyes met your lost one, “is something disturbing you?”
“I am just……scared.” You confessed. There’s no point of lying in this situation. Your whole life is on the edge of truth and lies. Sometimes you know everything and sometimes you don’t know a lot more things than you think you know.
He pulls you up and shakes his head before pulling you in his arms. “don’t be scared. No one is going to hurt you.”
No one is going to hurt you.
He rubs your arms and back softly, you bury your face into his chest, “Joong…” you murmured in his embrace.
“hm?”
“Why do I feel like I have heard this before?”
He rests his chin on top of your head, “what?”
“that no one is going to hurt me. Has anyone hurt me before? Was I bad back then?” you raise your head to look at him, “were you bad back then?”
His figure still. His breath hitched when you asked the question while staring at him with scared eyes. No no. He did nothing. He meant nothing bad to you. Everything happens for a reason.
Hongjoong, the reasons are selfish.
You are selfish.
Everyone is selfish.
“We all are good and bad in some aspects.” A smile appears on his face and he continues, “but you are always a good person. And I will protect you forever. I will keep you safe.”
“Are you pretending to hide something? If not then why are you even doing this?”
His reply comes quickly, “because I love you, y/n. I can’t afford to lose you again. I am sorry for a lot of things but trust me I won’t let you go again.”
“Can I trust you, Joong?” he nodded to himself. You didn’t say ‘love you’ back to him. It’s okay. One day, you will. right?
“always.” He assures you and you hug him tightly, burying your face into his chest. He kisses the top of your head.
“don’t break it then.” You whisper.
Hongjoong’s grip loosened but soon he rubbed your back gently, meeting someone’s eyes standing at the door.
San stood there, staring at your figure wrapped around with Hongjoong’s arms.
We already broke your trust, y/n.
And, I feel it’s going to happen……again.

Yandere Octavinelle Headcanons
TW/CW: Dark content up ahead!! Yandere content specifically, mentions of abuse, manipulation, violence towards the reader, mental instability, etc. Proceed with caution!
Mini side note because of the comment (that is now deleted or either I’m blocked) from my Savannaclaw Headcanons. This is yandere content, granted a quick glance at all my headcanons and other pieces by creators, you’ll see how different everyone’s interpertation and writing is different. Not every yandere content out there is yandere simulator. I don’t think all of these character is gonna pick a weapon and start going to town on half the cast. I like to focus on how they’d be in a relationship, how they’d react, and what I think they are capable of. So no, a lot of my content doesn’t have someone stalking their S/O and killing potential suitors but that doesn’t mean it’s not yandere? Sorry it’s just that I tried adressing it but I guess the OP blocked me, oh well. Enjoy!!
DISCLAIMER: These are my interpretations of his/her/their persona and none of these is 100% accurate. I don't condone any of these actions in real life and all of this is purely fictional and should be taken as such! Underage characters will ONLY be given SFW headcanons, please respect this decision!
Banner made by @herestrish! Pls don’t steal!
Azul Ashengrotto
Long overdue headcanons, but I shall deliver. Azul is complicated. I think all of Octavinelle is complicated because I can see them acting in two different ways. Azul was bullied for being overweight and it had an impact on his character. He worked hard to get people to see him as someone for his abilities rather than his appearance, even if the means were shady. Post over blot he still has some insecurities, but he doesn’t shy away from them and chooses to face them head-on. As for his yandere type, I can see him as a very manipulative person (no matter what) but I can also see him as very overprotective and clingy.
I’m torn between seeing him as someone who loves his S/O but clings on to the fear that someday they’ll leave him. Resulting in him trying to strike a contract with you without you knowing until after you try to leave him (if you do). He’s confident and prideful, but just like his over blot, he’s horrible at handling his emotions (he just like me fr). The manipulation at first isn’t anything too extreme, just casually bashing others to bring himself up. “He won’t pull his weight on the project, I’ll help you”, or “He’s bad news, nothing good from hanging out with them.” Little by little he’ll limit who you hang out with, and what you do, and he’ll build himself up as the ever so reliable and helpful Azul.
Overprotective, almost all of them are tbh. He cares for you, genuinely. He just can’t express himself truthfully, he might see the relationship the same he’d see a deal. He holds himself to a high standard, the type to never break a sweat in public but deep down panicking the whole time. He’d probably have the Leech twins be your bodyguards from time to time and they’ll agree for the most part. It’s interesting to see what Azul finds intriguing about you. Besides, it’s amusing to see Azul care for you in his way, even if he gets embarrassed and fumbles the bag. Cares for your education and your reputation!
This is where it gets me, I’m not quite sure how this happens. If you meet Azul and you guys develop a relationship, kudos! If not, he might strike a deal. I’m conflicted because I see Azul as someone who cherishes the type of relationship where they get to know each other and see their true selves, but I also see him as the type to be afraid of that. He’s worked tirelessly to build himself up but if he confessed to his S/O and they said no, I don’t think he could ever recover. To avoid being hurt, he’d probably use shady means to get his S/O. This is where he might strike a deal. He’ll catch you in a shady deal, an embarrassing situation, etc. He’ll use it as blackmail, forcing you into a relationship with him. He’s not that clingy though, don’t mistake him. He’ll wave it off as a business deal, it benefits us both so what do you have to lose? It’s confusing really, Azul doesn’t seem to care (if you happen to go down this route only) so why did he propose this deal? If his S/O just can’t stand it and proposes to cancel whatever deal they have that binds them to him, he’ll snap.
He’ll cry, reverting to his crybaby self. He’s so insecure he can’t stand the idea of your rejection. He’s clinging, begging you to reconsider. He’ll do anything you ask of him just please, please don’t leave him. He’ll rewrite a contract, he’ll show affection, he’ll give you anything you want just don’t say that. Don’t even think of leaving him. It’s quite a sight really, you never thought the same man who once held himself up so high is on his knees begging for forgiveness and to make it right. This is why he’s a bit complicated, I feel like the very manipulative ‘read the fine print’ man suits Azul, but at the same time, he’s a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. Granted you’d have to push his buttons a lot for that to happen, but it’s a possibility.
In terms of scale, I want to say it’s a 6/10. His contracts are where he gets you hence why it’s a bit high. The contact that he can use to steal any ability you have is quite a tricky one. He’s powerful, and he knows how to use it but it doesn’t help much when he’s not so great himself.
Floyd Leech
Run. No kidding, as a yandere the Leech brothers are fucking scary as all hell. I want to start and say this, in normal general relationship headcanons do I see the Leech brothers as genuinely loving their S/O? Yes of course, but these are yandere headcanons and while it’s not impossible don’t hold your breath. As yanderes, these brothers are out for blood. They’ll share similar traits with a few exceptions, I see Floyd as being clingy, possessive, and sadistic.
The leech brothers don’t see their S/O as a partner for now, they’re only a pet for now. Floyd would be clingy in the sense that he sticks to you like glue. He’s always there, whenever you think you have privacy, you don’t. While they both act like gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe, Floyd is that gum that’s visible but won’t come off. Meaning, you see him and know he’s coming, just that you can’t stop him. He’s always there, meaning the torment never ends. He drives people away, nobody comes to your rescue because nobody wants to mess with him.
He sees his S/O as a toy. While both want to see your reactions, what makes you tick and you’re there for their amusement, Floyd is restless. As long as this doesn’t interrupt Azul’s work, don’t count on him for saving. He’s sadistic, he wants to hurt his S/O. At first, we’re under the impression that he doesn’t know what's wrong and that he just needs to be talked to. It spirals when you notice that he does know what he does and fully intends to continue. The type to push you to the cafeteria floor and then ask, “Is everything okay? Don’t get my shoes dirty shrimpy. . .” He hides behind that fake concern and laid-back persona. Any ‘accident’, I can assure you is not one. Your report that you worked tirelessly on is suddenly missing? Your project is in ruins? You didn’t finish your presentation? All of Floyds doing, he simply enjoys seeing you in uncomfortable situations. He smiles when you make eye contact with him mid-scolding from Trein. He offers false condolences when your project is broken, earning praise for being so concerned for you. What a nice friend isn’t he?
Despite all his flaws, he doesn’t let anyone mess with you. He rather be the cause of your suffering. Possessive in the sense that you belong to him. You don’t belong to anyone else, your face of sadness? He’s the only one meant to see them. Your faces of anguish and frustration, he’s the cause of it and he lives for it. You can go ahead and tell someone and they’d respond the same, “Sure Floyd is eccentric but he’s not evil, you sure you’re not just making it up?” Anyone who does believe you aren’t strong enough to go against him. On the yandere scale, he’s a 10/10. He’s dangerous, if you haven’t caught his attention, run. I also want to add, that their S/O is mostly going to become stress relief. They’ll be on edge with any sudden mood shifts because they already know that they’re their go to stress ball. The Leech brothers are not the best, they’re VERY dangerous.
Jade Leech
Don’t bother running, you won’t get far. His are manipulative, obsessive, possessive, and sadistic. The issue with Floyd is that he makes his nature apparent, Jade conceals it. Quite frankly, Jade is scarier because he’s unpredictable. He’s seen as a super reliable and respectable person, very professional. The type to take on extra workload if needed but professional enough to stand up and know when to say no. He’s the manipulator of the two, he has a way with words that makes you genuinely think he has your best interests in mind. Masquerading his true intentions behind his smile.
If you’ve ever seen Drrr!!, he reminds me a lot of Izaya. The type to observe you in difficult situations to see what kind of person you are. How do creatures like you work? What is your design? You’re quite a fascinating subject. He loves to see how you react to any situation. He’s quite obsessive, he wants to know anything and all there has to do regarding you. Often stalking you or inviting you out to the monstro lounge to observe you. Down to how you hold your glass he’s invested. He knows your likes and dislikes, your phobias, your friends, your social life, and what goes down at your dorm. He needs to know after all to create your life trials.
He’s possessive. Unlike Floyd, he lets others do the tormenting for him. Though he still believes your expressions are his alone, he would rather stay in the shadows to keep up his reliable facade a bit more. You’re his, he doesn’t like sharing and Jade makes that quite clear. The moment anybody wishes to get close to you he’d get rid of them. Either feeding them lies about you or simply scaring them away. He’s sadistic, he wants to hit you where it hurts. While Floyd prefers physical pain, Jade prefers mental pain. He enjoys the little things that bring you anguish. The betrayal of a friend, watching everyone turns against you, rumors destroying what little reputation you have left leaving Jade as your only companion.
To add more to both, they see their S/O as a form of entertainment. They have no means of leaving you or letting you leave. The only way I can see their S/O leaving is if they got too boring. They stopped fighting. They no longer had any fight left in their eyes but while Floyd would be the first one to suggest leaving you, I think Jade would still find use. They want to light the spark. The torment stops, even for a while and you suddenly think all your efforts have paid off. Finally, they lost interest but what a scary sight it is to see them waiting for you ready to continue their torment. As far as the yandere scaling, I say Jade is an 11/10. Floyd is a danger, yes, but you already know he is. Jade hides that part of himself until he’s ready. You won’t know when he’ll strike. Both are true to their nature, suffocating. Their presence alone makes you stop breathing, they’re just too much and at some point, you start to think that maybe it was better if you met the eyes of somebody else.

Another look into the Knight and Lord AU! This time, let's see which other roles have been swapped...
Luigi had been… well, brooding was probably the correct term, wandering the grand hall and looking at portraits of kings past. He was examining a ruling queen and wondering if she'd fought for her position or simply been the only available head to put a crown on, when he heard the patter of running feet and the door burst open. From the corner of his eye he noticed Bowser straighten up and his hand go for his sword, but both of them relaxed when they saw the slim figure in yellow and orange barreling down the hall.
“Daisy!” Luigi exclaimed, a second before she grabbed him in a hug. "Oof! You're- Is it good news?"
Her face stiffened as she pulled away. "I missed you. Isn't that good enough?"
Luigi forced a smile. "It's good to see you too."
He tried not to be disappointed. If they'd found something he would have heard before she showed up in person. He knew that, and yet…
"So then why are you-"
Suddenly Daisy stepped past him and stretched her arm out, as if blocking him from view. "Prince Luigi, stay behind me."
"What?" Luigi said. He looked around her shoulder to see Bowser, still standing next to the marble pillar he'd chosen as his leaning place while Luigi brooded, though now with his arms crossed across his breastplate.
"How did you get in the castle?" Daisy demanded. "You're lucky I'm the one who came back, if Peach saw you-"
Bowser ignored her. He unfolded his arms (making Daisy put up her dukes) and pressed one fist against his chest, keeping his eyes fixed dead ahead.
"Sire, your permission to make a patrol?"
He was never that formal unless he was making a point.
"Yes, Sir Bowser," Luigi said. "You're excused."
Bowser bowed, lower than he needed to, and marched past them and out the door Daisy had left standing open.
It wasn't even shut before Daisy leaned over to Luigi and hissed, "Him?"
"Yes," Luigi said simply. "Daisy-"
"You knighted him? You remember who that is, don't you?"
Luigi couldn't stop from rolling his eyes. "Of course I do."
"Why would you knight him? Did he do something like- like saving your life?"
"Actually-"
"Because he probably set it up to get close to you!"
“I asked him,” Luigi said. “Personally.”
“You asked? And he said yes?”
“It’s already been three months, if he was going to try something he’s had plenty of opportunities.”
“He might be getting everyone’s guard down!”
“He’s been nothing but loyal! He saved my life twice!”
“But why him?” Daisy demanded. “Why him, out of all people? After everything he’s-”
“You were gone!” Luigi exclaimed.
For a moment she stared at him, silent. He hadn’t meant for it to come out accusatory, but… it wasn’t exactly wrong.
Luigi swallowed down his feelings and tried to explain things calmly. “My brother disappeared, and the kingdom’s famous heroes are away looking for him,” Luigi said. “I can handle myself in a fight, but I don’t look it. People tend to think I’m a pushover. it’s better for the kingdom to avoid fights, so I needed someone who could stand next to me and look like too much trouble to be worth starting any.”
“So… you wanted a goon?” Daisy said. She, too, was making an effort to keep her voice calm and steady. “You could find plenty of people who fit that description. Why this one?”
“Not a goon,” Luigi said. “Well, not just a goon. I wanted a ‘loyal opposition.’ Someone with a different opinion about the way things should be done.”
“You knighted him to disagree with you?”
“Pretty much,” Luigi said. “As a leader, it’s always valuable to listen to the people that disagree with you. Usually they just want someone else - like themself - to be in charge, or to go back to what they think were better times, but sometimes they have valid points. Sometimes they’re closer to the common people, sometimes they’ve thought of things you haven’t…” Luigi smiled to himself. “Bowser… He cares about this kingdom. He never left, you know? And he could have. But he stayed here, even after being declared an enemy of the crown. He cares more than he hates.”
Daisy shook her head. “If you say so…”
“I do say so,” Luigi said. “And besides-”
He stopped.
“What?” Daisy asked.
“No, it’s nothing. Nevermind.”
“Tell me,” Daisy said, with a smile. “Come on.”
Luigi took a breath. “I kind of feel bad about this, but… After Mario disappeared, Bowser was the first one we looked at, remember?”
“I remember,” Daisy said. “He’d been seen around the city every day, he couldn’t have done it.”
“Yes, and… that got me thinking. Bowser was the most likely person to come for the throne now that only I was standing in the way. If I got him on my side, I’d eliminate the biggest threat and protect myself from the rest in the same move.”
Daisy’s eyes widened. “That is cold.”
Luigi hunched his shoulders. “I’m king now, I have to think practically.”
“I didn’t say it was a bad thing,” Daisy said. “And if you’re right and he’s loyal, your plan worked perfectly.”
“That doesn’t make me feel better about it,” Luigi said.
Daisy clapped him on the shoulder, hard enough that it stung. “You’re sure though? I mean, really? You’re certain he’s loyal?”
“Yes, Daisy.” Luigi rolled his eyes. “I told you, he saved my life. Even if it’s only because it would lose him this cushy position, that’s still loyalty.”
“Saving your life is literally the least a knight could do.”
“He does more than that,” Luigi said. He felt himself smiling again. “He’s even started trying to save me from myself, lately. I’ve been working too hard. There’s a lot to do, but… mostly it’s just easier to work than think. The other night, Bowser practically dragged me to bed.”
Daisy’s eyes widened.
“That came out wrong.”
Daisy squeezed his shoulder. “Prince- I mean, King Luigi. Tell me you’re not in love with him.”
Luigi opened his mouth to deny it, but he must have been more tired of this conversation - and the dozen other conversations he’d had like it - than he thought, because what came out was, “Would it matter if I was?”
“Luigi!” Daisy exclaimed.
“I’m serious. Would it make a difference if I was- was giving him unprecedented access to the royal person every night?”
“Luigi!” Daisy said again, but this time there was laughter in it.
“Because you don’t seem to trust my judgment either way.”
“It’s not that I don’t trust you…” Daisy said. "I guess… I just can't see myself making the same choice?"
“It was still mine to make.”
“You’re right,” Daisy said. “You’re right.”
They were both silent for a moment.
“So… why did you come back?” Luigi asked. “Not that I’m not happy to see you!” he added quickly. “But you’ve both been sending letters up until now. What changed?”
“It is technically good news,” Daisy said. “We were at a dead end for… longer than I wanted you to know, but we finally picked up the trail again! Peach is trying to gain the trust of some people who might know more, and that’s a lot easier for one person to do than two, so I thought I’d get out of her hair.”
“That is good,” Luigi said. “Then you’re staying for a while?”
“At least a few days. I should check on the house, stock up on supplies, but none of that will take long.”
“Great,” Luigi said, taking her arm. “I want you to tell me everything.”
“Are you sure?” Daisy asked. “A lot of it’s… frustrating.”
“Everything,” Luigi repeated, firmly.
And outside in the hallway, standing next to the door which had never fully closed, Bowser had clenched his fists so hard he was trembling.
Would it matter if I was?
Would it matter if I was?
Would it matter

untitled (hoshi oneshot)
pairing: kwon soonyoung x reader (gender not explicity mentioned)
word count: 1.3k
genre: exes to lovers, non-idol au
warnings: drinking, cursing, implied sex
author's note: hi this is literally the very first fic i've ever written in my life!! it's just a short one but any constructive feedback is appreciated :)
What an annoying fucking day.
Missing the bus and being late for work, coworkers getting on your nerves, and to top it all off you completely forgot to do that important task that was due today, so you ended up staying late. It was only Tuesday, but you needed a goddamn drink.
It was already dark by the time you stepped out into the freezing cold air, and you huddled up in your coat as you made your way to the mediocre dive bar down the block. Not your top choice, but it was close. You ordered a vodka soda and zoned out as you listened to whatever depressing ass Smiths song was playing - shitty vibe, but you were too tired to care.
So when the man you had vaguely noticed was staring at you from your peripheral vision got up and headed towards you, you sighed as you turned to immediately shut that shit down.
“Sorry but I am really not in the mood for a conversation right n-“ your stomach dropped as you made eye contact with the all-too-familiar face.
“I thought that was you,” your ex-fiancé said sheepishly.
Frozen in shock, it took you a good five seconds for you to utter a response.
“Soonyoung?”
What the FUCK was he doing here?
As if he read your mind, he explained, “I’m in town this week for a work conference, but I didn’t expect to run into… anybody I knew.” He paused, waiting for your reaction. More silence. After what felt like an eternity you finally snapped out of it.
“Um… me neither.”
Jesus Christ, pull yourself together.
It had been nearly two years since you last saw him. The breakup had felt like a relief then - he was moving across the country and you never planned to see or hear from him again. Especially not in some random fucking bar on a Tuesday.
Your heart raced as you noted that he looked good. Like, really good.
“Mind if I join?” he gestures to the vacant seat next to you.
“Yeah, definitely. I mean- no I don’t mind. Sorry yeah go ahead, sure” you tripped over your words. Why the hell are you so nervous? It’s just your ex.
Yeah, just the person I very nearly married. Just the person I had once considered my soulmate…
You shove that thought to the back of your mind.
Soonyoung sits down and awkwardly begins to make small talk - something neither of you are that great at. You chat politely for a few minutes, asking each other the usual generic questions. There’s clearly so much you want to say to each other, but you both hold back.
“Soooo… how’s the…” he pauses. Shaking his head, he abandons whatever he was going to say. He turns and makes eye contact with you, giving you a questioning look. You feel your heart rate spiking. You try not to think about how handsome he looks right now.
“Do you still like playing pool?” He nods his head over to the open pool table in the corner. A smile involuntarily creeps onto your face and you see his eyes light up in response. The tension suddenly melts away.
“Only if I can still kick your ass.”
—
A few drinks and several rounds of pool later, you and Soonyoung are laughing it up as if you hadn’t spent a single day apart.
“Tired of losing yet?” you taunt sarcastically. You are both terrible at pool and neither of you even know how to play properly. But neither of you care about the game at this point anyway - you’re lost in old stories and inside jokes.
And god, he looks REALLY good.
Soonyoung pulls out his phone and laughs as he checks the time.
“Uh-ohhh, it’s gotten prettttty late. We better get you home before you turn into a pumpkin!” You roll your eyes but feel a sudden tinge of sadness. You were truly enjoying yourself - more than you had in a long time - and you weren’t ready for the night to end. But it was getting a bit late.
“Ugh let me check the train, who knows how long until the next one.” You go to put your coat on but he’s already holding it up for you, not realizing his old habit.
“Fuck the train, I’m driving you home! It’s toooo cold,” he insists. You let out a short laugh - he only had one more drink but he was clearly drunk.
“No, dummy, you are in no condition to operate a vehicle. I’ll drive for you.”
—
You park Soonyoung’s car near your apartment building. He’s mostly sobered up by this point, but he’s clearly a little embarrassed about the fact that he had spent a good chunk of the ride crying as he apologized and confessed that he really missed you. But honestly, you realize that you had really missed him too.
“Welp, here we are… guess I’d better get going,” he says, trying to hide his mopiness at the thought of leaving you. He slowly starts to open the passenger door but you catch his sleeve to hold him back. As you pull him back into his seat you find your hand subtly sliding up around his bicep. Fuck, he was even more muscular than you remembered.
“Excuse me but I am not letting you behind this wheel until you are fully sobered up, which you clearly are not,” you tell him firmly. “Come on babe, we’re going inside and getting you something to eat.” The affectionate name rolled off your tongue so naturally that you didn’t even notice you’d said it.
His eyes light up again. He had always been stunning, but in this moment he was insanely hot. Still holding onto his bicep, memories of his toned body flash through your mind as you feel the heat rising inside you.
Is this really happening? Fuck, I want him so bad.
And the way he looks back at you, you know he wants you too.
—
“What do you want, leftover pizza? A sandwich? Ramen?”
“Ooooh RAMEN!” Soonyoung exclaims eagerly as he comes running into the kitchen. “Pretty please,” he adds with a goofy grin. It all felt so natural. You didn’t realize how much you had missed this, missed him.
“Drink this,” you force a cup of water into his hands. Your hands brush and you instantly get butterflies.
Jesus what is this, a middle school crush??
He locks eyes with you. Huge pang in your stomach.
Okay, yeah. You need him. Badly. Right now.
Overwhelmed, you panic and turn back to busy yourself with the ramen, but you find yourself too distracted to even continue that.
Soonyoung can’t wait any longer. He grabs you by the hips and turns you around, pulling your body into his. He’s already excited, and you feel his excitement grow even more as he wraps his arms around you and kisses you with more intensity than you’ve ever felt before.
Fireworks. Electricity. All the things. In that moment, nothing in the world mattered but you and Soonyoung.
God damn.
He breaks the kiss so he can take a look at you. “You’re so fucking beautiful, you know that right?” He gently grabs your chin and tilts your face up toward him, going in for another kiss.
You suddenly become aware of the ramen packet that’s still in your hand. You giggle and he ends up kissing you on the teeth. You both burst out laughing and Soonyoung pulls you even tighter into his arms. You feel both of your hearts pounding in your chests.
He places his forehead against yours. “Soooo…”
“Soooo what?” You give him a tiny peck on the lips. He gives you a tiny peck back.
“Soooo aren’t you gonna invite me into your room?”
“What for?” you ask coyly.
“Mmmm I think I have a few things in mind,” he says in a low voice.
“Like whaaaat,” you tease.
You feel the both of you becoming even more excited as he mutters into your ear.
“Mmm I like the sound of that,” you say softly. Then jokingly, “but what about your ramen?”
“I think I have an appetite for something else now…”

Day 11 - Prompt: Challenge @pandalilymicrofics
February Daily Series - 1014 words
<<<Previous Part OR Start Here
Mary’s rich, full-chested laugh tore her from whatever spell she’d fallen under. Lily slid closer to Pandora on the kerb. She needed to distance herself from her friends as they cackled like overgrown children. The sheer number of people gaping while they descended into hysterics was humiliating.
“See what you started,” she whispered. Lily aimed for playful, but it came out stern instead. Stress bled into her words.
Pandora’s smile twisted into a smirk as she leaned in. Her breath teased the tendrils of hair curled around Lily’s ear. “When you hold out such low-hanging fruit, I can’t help myself.”
“Filthy minds, all of you.”
“Don’t pretend yours is any better. You wanted to laugh too.”
Lily folded her arms over her knees. She was right, of course, but not for the reason she thought. It wasn’t the innuendo that incited her amusement.
“I like your laugh,” Lily said, turning her head. Too late, she realised they were mere inches away from each other. It took every ounce of her self-control to remain still.
She wanted Pandora to pull back first. If only to level the balance of power between them a bit. Lily needed that balance to breathe normally again. Except, Pandora didn’t back down from the challenge.
“I like you,” Pandora replied bluntly.
“You don’t know me. We just met.”
“In person, yes.”
Pandora’s gaze dropped to her lips and Lily’s chest clenched hard. She blinked rapidly when her eyes unfocused, then ducked her head, conceding the advantage.
“What does that mean?” Lily asked, toying with a loose thread on the hem of her jacket.
Pandora’s hand slid lower on her arm, then two fingers began stroking soothing circles into Lily’s wrist. “You seem familiar. I don’t usually connect with people this quickly.”
Lily’s anxiety peaked. She was already wary of the rather obvious attempts to push them together and couldn’t quite embrace the concept that Remus and his new friends’ meddling may have actually worked. It was inconceivable after his last attempt failed so spectacularly.
“Is this your way of saying that we knew each other in a past life or something?” Lily teased, trying to hide her nerves.
Pandora’s smile fell and she abruptly pulled her hand away. Before Lily could organise the jumble of words her mind offered to clarify, she was left sitting alone on the kerb. Pandora’s skirt swished wildly around her legs as she disappeared into the crowd. Her mind whirled with confusion, then stalled.
“Lily! What did you say to her?” Alice demanded.
“I-I don’t know. It was a joke, I didn’t mean to offend her.”
Mary winced and shook her head. “Oh honey. You better go after her.”
Lily pushed herself off the kerb with more force than was necessary. She stumbled forward, then steadied herself before searching the mass of people around her. Pandora’s platinum blonde hair wasn’t hard to find when the tiny silver bands that decorated her braids glimmered in the sunlight. She’d nearly reached the split in the path.
She hurried through the crowd, apologising each time she bumped into someone, but moving steadily forward. Pandora had slipped through so easily and was well ahead of her already. Lily darted around a group of older men blocking the path, then ducked between the food trucks. The staging area behind the stalls was littered with extension cords and boxes, but there was no one in sight.
Lily tucked her elbows in and ran. Dodging the random bits and bobs slowed her down and the chill wind bit her cheeks and nose, but she didn’t care. It was her fault that Pandora was upset. She had to make it right.
She darted back onto the main path and lifted up onto her toes to peer over the shoulders of several taller men. Pandora was either too far ahead, or she’d passed her. As she spun around to check, a slim figure collided with her and flailed their arms.
“Oh. You!”
Automatically, Lily grabbed their elbows to keep the person upright. Relief washed over her. She looked down with another apology on the tip of her tongue when the woman’s outburst and fierce glare registered.
“Pandora! I was—”
“How did you-I don’t-what?” Pandora spluttered. She inhaled deeply, then pulled her arms free from Lily’s grasp. “What do you want?”
Panic forced Lily’s words free before she could sort through her thoughts. “I’m sorry! I didn't mean to offend you or upset you or whatever happened back there, it was a joke. Probably a poor one, I’ll admit. Remus says I’m terrible at it and he’s better at gauging that sort of thing. Anyway! I don’t want you to leave thinking I’m making fun of you, or anything like that, if that’s why you stormed off—”
“Chut!” Pandora said tersely, stepping back and holding her hands up. “That's enough, Lily. I didn’t ‘storm off’ when you mocked me. I walked away before I said something I’d regret.”
“No, no! I wasn’t mocking you—”
“You were, and that’s…fine.” Pandora furrowed her brows at a man who jostled her, then asked, “Why are you chasing me?”
Lily clasped her hands together to keep from reaching out again. She doubted Pandora would appreciate her a hug, given the sharp tone in her voice. Though it was the open disappointment on the woman’s face that was truly devastating.
“I wanted to make it right. I didn’t realise my joke would upset you, I was trying to…well, deflect I suppose.”
“Deflect from what?”
“This? Us? Whatever you meant by us having a ‘connection?’” Lily admitted. She offered a weak smile and added, “It caught me off-guard.”
Pandora crossed her arms over her chest and studied Lily intently. “And if I do believe in past lives? What then? Will you laugh at me?”
“No. I wouldn’t, I swear.”
“What about fate? Or soulmates? Are those a joke to you too?”
Lily shook her head, but didn’t speak. She could see her words weren’t helping. At least Pandora wasn’t running away again.
That had to be a good sign.

Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky Pt.2
This doesn't work without Part One
If you have read it, let's get back to the characters... and there are still serious spoilers
Daredevil/ Elektra
This lady is working towards her redemption. After she showed up to help Matt and recruit him for The Fist to (be the king!), she gave him a chance to go to prison. It sounds bad but in their world, I guess, it was a good thing. She gives him the opportunity to decide whether he wants to pay for his crime by taking it upon herself to protect Hell’s Kitchen. I was legitimately audibly surprised when she showed up at the hearing and let Matt know that she both knew his identity and bought 90% of the neighborhood.
She had ulterior motives, of course, but it still felt genuine. It’s something she would never have done before and something that shows us and Matt that she’s ready for change. Speaking of, this run is full of wow moments. The next one actually comes right after, when Elektra becomes the new Daredevil. She wanted to earn Matt’s trust so she not only took care of his neighborhood but stuck around to do his job while he was resting in a cell block. With the costume and everything.
The detail I loved most was how she modified her sai to be blunt. It’s a small thing that I hadn’t noticed right away but it just proves the point – she wants to step away from being an assassin and do something good for a change.
She goes full Bruce Wayne too, she gives away jewelry and adopts a kid. That doesn’t last because, unlike Bats, she realizes quickly that all the violence and “channeling your anger” don’t do any good for a kid.
Elektra makes a pretty great Daredevil. She feels like a more solid fighter, more likely to win. “Without fear” applies to her more because she’s done it all: died, killed, came back, succumbed to darkness, fought it. She has nothing to fear but her own limitations. Which she does, it’s quite a change for her to limit the violence and refrain from killing. But she is wearing the DD logo and she is representing him. She shows the people of Hell’s Kitchen that even without him on the streets, they are protected. That’s a hell of a thing.
Elektra is new at that and is looking for her own take on Daredevil. She isn’t like Matt at all.
Cole North
Now he’s a new character and one of the best ones in a while. Plus, he’s also a narrator in the run. He arrives as a cop from Chicago who has to catch and arrest Daredevil. He’s a very by-the-book detective, he believes in the procedure and well, he’s in for a ride. Right away he encounters crooked police on one side, a criminal mayor on another, the whole criminal underground, and vigilantes to top it off.
He sees Daredevil as someone who positions himself above the law, which comes at a time when Matt is starting to doubt said law. And they make for an interesting dynamic. Daredevil saves North from a bunch of his colleagues and kickstarts North’s downfall as a cop. Which is hey, also his rise as a decent person. Cole North is a fantastic addition, truly. He’s something that Daredevil’s been needing for a while since he never listens to Foggy or his girlfriends. He even, and again I’m jumping ahead, appoints Cole as his moral compass. A pretty decent idea, although Matt will probably mess that up too.
Back to Cole North though. He goes through a transformation that’s masterfully shown through his thoughts (and let me tell you again, how much I appreciate different perspectives) and actions. It’s not his book but he’s one of the most memorable characters there. And despite never learning Daredevil’s true identity, he stands by his side, believing it’s possible to change the world.
The next step is actually leading towards what seems to be a massive event. But I’ll be ready to talk about that after I finish it.
This, Zdarsky’s run and Devil’s Reign - an event dedicated to heroes battling Fisk, are some of the best Daredevil comics out there. They don’t play around with Matt’s lighter side anymore and I, personally, like it. There’s something incredibly stylish and dramatic about Daredevil’s life going all the way off the rails.
It leads to darker art and atmosphere, to more mature stories - I like that and that, to me fits the character.
Zdarsky carefully navigates his way through further character development steps to lead to a relevant discussion of social/political issues. It feels well-paced and allows the narrative to flow freely.
The fact that he introduces multiple narrators makes the story richer. We don’t just get one perspective and thus, one point of view, we are forced to at least attempt to sympathize with everyone. This pushes readers out of their comfort zone and gives additional depth to the villains.
Meanwhile, Daredevil himself gets something new, something he hasn’t done or tried before. And even then, he still can’t escape his patterns. It’s as beautiful and entertaining as it is frustrating. But this is the kind of frustration you’d experience towards a friend who keeps making mistakes. That feels familiar and in a way, nice.
The main artist on this run is Marco Chechetto. His work feels heavily inspired by manga but at the same time, it utilizes the best elements of Western comic book art. This symbiosis works well for this specific run. Chechetto’s ability to brighten up the color palette and darken the image when needed is something that allows the stories to play out both in text bubbles and in frames. It adds emotions and even adjusts them. Splash pages and dynamic battle scenes feel like real action. Throw in some street views and pretty epic full-height shots and you get a truly epic book.
There are temporary artists, who take over for one or more issues like Mike Hawthorne. In his case, the change was hardly noticeable because the main color scheme was still followed. I believe in terms of style, there were just a couple issues by another artist that felt off to me.
All in all, like I said, one of the best Daredevil runs.

I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but genuinely, the things I’ve seen said about Aemond these last few days disgust me. The bodyshaming is fucking insane. I’ve seen people say that it was more of a jumpscare/more traumatising to see Aemond naked than to see Jahaerys’ head reattached to his body. I’ve seen people say that he looked like Voldemort’s fetus when curling up against the madam. The fucking hatred against Aemond is in-FUCKING-sane. Hate Aemond all you want, I could not care less. But speaking about his body? Especially with so much hate?? Aemond does not exist, he’s not hurt about what you’re saying. But Ewan? The ACTOR PORTRAYING Aemond?? He is REAL and CAN be hurt by your words. I find these people disgusting. Hating the personality of someone, a bad or good person, gives you no fucking right to hate on their body. Whether they be fat, skinny, conventionally ugly or pretty, I do not care. As someone who was hurt because of such comments before, it’s infuriating to see. These people should be ashamed of themselves.
Anyway, sorry for ranting, I just really needed to get this off my chest. Love you <3
Heeeeey, nonnie!
Sorry for the delayed replay - to clarify, all, this is in relation to Episodes 2 and 4 (I think?) of the recent season, specifically with Aemond's nudie scenes.
I pretty much instablocked everyone either saying the gross things or the people making constant posts complaining about the gross things being said, so I didn't cop a lot of it on my feed. But I do think it's so very typical of just The Worst People TM congregating in the ASOIAF fandom to do this kind of stuff. Bodyshaming, slutshaming, shaming in general - it's what these arseholes do at this point, honestly. And it isn't okay. I found it all amusing too, in a weird way, because it just goes to show how insanely wrong people were about the direction of Aemond's character. Some of the fandom allowed themselves to forget the difference between headcanon and the actual story being told (and regardless of whether or not you enjoyed it, it is show canon now) and are now upset that they've raced ahead and filled in the gaps in a manner that is now wrong. Instead of going "oh, personally not a fan, oh well, will write fanfic differently" they jumped STRAIGHT to "I must be a terrible human being in my tantrum". It's gross, but so very typical at this point.
My advice, after having done the exact opposite of this in the past? Don't engage. You aren't going to change their minds. They've posted it on the internet because they are either so confident they're right or they're determined to stick to their guns regardless. Block. Bar them access. Eventually, their grossness will take itself out to the trash, where they belong.
Thank you for sharing this, nonnie. I hope splooting it in my inbox made you feel better! I enjoyed reading your thoughts!

hello fello evil scary proshipper. I wish to inquire if you actually follow those dni proshipper thingies people post.
bc we'd be banned from interacting with most people if we do. trying to see what the general proship community thinks since idk what to do with myself
Actually the UTMV fandom has a lot of people who aren’t proship DNI so for this fandom I just go ahead and block everyone who has it in their bio. This fandom also has the biggest volume of neutral anti-harassment (as in people who don’t like problematic ships themselves but are Normal about it) people I’ve seen. I know antiharassment is proship but Labels get thrown around so much “anti harassment” is just the clearest one for a lot of people and I’m not gonna argue semantics over it.
There’s a lot to be said about how harmful the anti mentality is that I’m sure you’ve read people more eloquent than me say, yk about how they throw actual victims of the crimes they say proshippers promote under the bus perpetuate purity culture etc but if you don’t care and don’t even think the anti you’re interacting with cares go for it but yk just avoid the ones who are actively posting Deranged shit about proship discourse because to them this Isn’t a stupid chronically online thing you being a proshipper is literally you being an Evil Person so yk, don’t “I can’t believe the leopards ate my face” yourself
#actually I saw someone with dead dove do not eat in their DNI recent#crazy out here#maybe I’m getting old but DNI as a concept is kind of. stupid#what other people post doesn’t actually affect you?#and even then you should be the one blocking as the one with the problem not me?#but ok man

I want to send this girl screenshots of her boyfriend’s messages to me…like talking to me sexually and saying he wants to get me pregnant and say to her “Oh but I guess he comes home to you…at least! I’m sorry have a hard time having sympathy for someone like you. Go ahead and keep making excuses, it’s doing something for you 😂 get some shame…..or something please girl. The lack of back bone is crazy. Go show him this, and then…do nothing so smart “ because I’ve told her this before long ago and she’s told me he’s cheated other times…I want to block her before so she can’t message me back. What do you think? Yes, it’s kind of mean but she makes me mad just as much as he does…he also blocked me when I said to him “You’re still with that dumb girl…talk about dumb. She knows you cheat yet she still stays…funny. She lives for this and she’s weird.” I never planned on seeing him especially when he’s with her…but this whole situation makes me angry and i don’t care at this point if I’m rude to her because she was excusing him on the phone to me when she was reaching out to me the first time…what do you think about to? For me, it’s more about making a point,
I would say not to engage with this situation at all. Even though it might feel good to let it all out. I’ve had my moments like that and I’ve regretted engaging later. Also acknowledge that the girl probably lacks self esteem & self love she probably thinks she can’t or won’t find better than this guy and wants to keep him. Don’t take it personally because it’s not. There’s no point to make. Wish her the best and just don’t talk to her. As for the guy cut him off as well. None of it is worth your time or energy. I know the itch to bark back will be there for however long it is but the itch to say something will eventually dissipate if you just let it go.

Hey, by any chance, could you do a writing for reader insert, slightly less evil/redeemed Bill Cipher, hurt comfort? It's okay if you don't! (Note: I'm an angsty 18 on anon, but not nsfw or any the like in any way! You'll probably see my nsx vore blog if you answer this ask. If you ever get uncomfy then just block me :3)
(Hello! I’m sorry that it took so long to get to your request! I’ve been dealing with a lot recently. I was honestly not sure how to write this since Bill is a triangle, but I felt like I did fine. I hope you enjoy this!)
Watching Eyes
(A Bill Cipher Vore Fanfic)
Warnings: Themes of stalking and soft vore.
“Why hello, my dear! How have you been?” The familiar chaotic demon welcomed you warmly. You were the only one this triangle ever respected. You treated him with so much kindness that he became curious about you. At first, it started as simple observation. He would ask to go with you on your way to the store or on your way to the park, but this strange relationship started to mean more to him.
Bill has never actually experienced true kindness before you. Humans feared him while the other demons didn’t truly care about him, but you? You cared for Bill, which he slowly grew to appreciate. Eventually, the chaos demon asked you if you’d like to start a relationship. You said yes of course due to his charm and rather humorous personality.
However, today wasn’t really a great day for you. Something has been lurking and been trying to catch you for quite some time. Today, you saw the being on your way to the store. The man was in the parking lot, picking up trash, when you caught his eye. For some reason, he seemed to know you.
He watched you carefully as you walk into the store. You shrugged off the feeling of uneasiness before going in. However, this man only continued to show up more and more. You’d walk into one aisle? He’s now in the same aisle as you. Deciding which soups to buy? He’s looking at a few soups ahead of you.
You tried shrugging it off once again. This was a small store, so maybe he was just trying to shop. However, he never picked up any items. The man also kept looking at you through his peripheral vision. You didn’t truly realize that he was stalking you until you made it halfway to your house.
It was there that you saw the man, jumping behind a bush as soon as you turned around. You gasped with shock. The only thing that you could do was run. So, you ran all the way home, never looking back. Once you got to your safe place, you locked the doors and waited until Bill came home.
You shook your head at the memories and turned to face Bill. “Jeez, you look more shaken up than I was at my last party. What happened?” He was puzzled over the many ways someone would have upset you. “A man..followed me.” You shook as you wrapped a soft blanket around yourself.
Bill growled with a low, menacing tone, “Did he put his hands on you?” You shook your head. “No. He was watching me in the parking lot. Then, he followed me inside the store and he continued to follow me when I was close to home.” Bill’s growl only continued to grow louder.
“That’s disgusting..I may be an interdimensional demon who has done many horrible, yet funny, things in my past, but I would never do anything like that.” You look down and curl up even further in your blanket safety net. Bill sighed before looking at you with the utmost sympathy.
“Would you like me to nom you? I know how much you love it.” Bill asked, sincerely. You nodded as you got up and approached him. “Alright then! Don’t worry, you’ll be completely safe.” His eye turned into a gaping maw, which quickly lowered itself upon you.
The soft walls of flesh cradle your body as you slid down his throat. Warmth enveloped your form, causing you to relax almost instantly. You closed your eyes as you continued to be pulled into his body. Eventually, you reached the demon’s stomach.
The walls looked like a galaxy full of stars. It was rather hypnotic and oddly calming. You smiled to yourself as you curled up against the soft walls of Bill’s belly. From the outside, you can hear Bill chuckle quietly. “If that man ever comes near us again..I’ll rip him to shreds and scatter his remains across the multiverse.”
“Just make sure to not get caught.* You yawn quietly as your eyes grow heavy. The soft heartbeat of the demon was enough to soothe you. Bill said one last thing before you fall asleep. “You don’t need to worry about anything anymore.”

IMPORTANT: this blog is 16+ and strict about that! There will be suggestive and/or sensitive topics. If you cannot handle that, please do not read ahead. Appropriate TW’s will be added to posts if need be.
TW’s to look out for:
-Use of profanity (harsh on occasion)
-Vulgar language
-Suggestive topics
-Mentions of self harm
-Body-image issues
-Panic attacks/meltdowns
-General mental health things

The introduction:
Evening, Ig, I’m Steven, some random ass kid from Australia. I’m 16, go by he/him pronouns (if you care) and am not a fan of women (relax, I’m just gay)
Hobbies n shit:
My main hobbies consist of writing and sometimes art (traditional and digital) when I feel like it. I drew my banner and icon if you need to know what the works look like.
I also like cats. I think they’re cool. I have two.
Things I’m into:
The main pieces of media I’m into are the Saw movies (all of them, I think they’re hilarious, Final Destination too), The Hunger Games (movies and books), literally anything Junji Ito, etc etc.
Why am I here?:
The whole reason this blog exists is because my therapist said it’d be a good idea. Long story short; I recently got out of a psych ward so there’s that, Ig. All I’m here to do is see how things go and try to be a normal person for once.
Hello, hello! Mod speaking :3 I should probably introduce myself as well, lay out the rules of the blog! (Also my text colour will be purple which is how you can spot me!)
I will go by Mod Snake and/or Ryn. My main blog is @vanitythevantropist if you wanna know!
Anyways, here are the main rules of the blog:
-No NSFW or anything of the sort, both the mod and the character are minors (suggestive jokes are fine, tho)
-The character’s opinions are not necessarily the mod’s opinions.
-This blog is meant to be a safe space for people with mental disorders that make it difficult for them to feel empathy (like myself); don’t be a dick about that and call us monsters. You will be blocked
-Please don’t feel like you can’t bring up any inaccuracies if I screw up, I do not have a lot of the character’s disorders (though I do have autism) so I don’t mind people who do have them correcting me if I say something harmful or wrong :3 Just be polite about it!
-For now, the blog doesn’t do art as I don’t have a fixed design for the character, but sprites n stuff may come in the future! For now, it’s mostly a text thing
