After many long hugs and a few tears, Willie and Oliver sat down to have the long overdue discussion.

Willie listened heavy-hearted as Oliver expressed how he and the others had felt abandoned. "We lost Momma," he said, "but we also lost you."

Willie didn't know what to say to that. Sure, he was grieving, but that excuse fell flat even to him; he knew he ought to have been there for his children-Lillian would've. He tearfully apologised to Oliver and swore to apologise to Bertie, Lucy and Nellie one day. He wasn't expecting immediate forgiveness of course, but he wanted a relationship with his children again.

After what felt like hours of crying, Willie offered to take Oliver for a ride to cheer them up. In his cowboy heyday, he'd imagined doing this with his sons. Perhaps they would follow in his footsteps he used to think, but as he watched Oliver struggle on Potatoes, he knew that was very unlikely. Still, that didn't matter anymore, he finally had his son back.

I'm not sure if what I wrote is what this post had in mind but… also I meant to do this as a rb but my toxic trait is writing things in drafts/private posts so I err uhhh look I can't keep fighting with Tumblr formatting ok

“You're so fascinating, Mhin. If you wrote a book, I would definitely read it.  Even if you wrote the book about something really boring.  Even if you wrote…a dictionary, full of words I already know the meanings to.  I'd still read it, just because you wrote it.  Just to feel like I got to walk beside you in the world for a little while."

Mhin looks over at you despite themself. Your voice is low, tone affectionate difficult to parse over the incessant noise permeating the Wet Wick. They find themselves staring at your lips, as if to read your words despite hearing you clearly.

“You're really the most interesting person I know...  Which is saying a lot, in this city!”  You laugh at yourself, bandaged fingers trailing around the rim of the glass placed in front of you at the bar.  Your face is flushed, pupils dilated.  The longer they look at you, brows furrowed as they try to make sense of your words, the less you seem able to look them in the eyes.

The liquid in your glass is clear.  

Tequila?  Vodka?  Gin?  A stomach wrenching combination of all three, possibly.  Who knows what Leander was willing to put in front of you, if it makes you so…

Mhin huffs, mouth wrenching into a frown. They clasp a hand around the glass in front of you. "I think you've had enough." They must have gone (miraculously) nose-blind from the boozy scent of the Wet Wick because even as they slide the heavy tankard closer to themself, the pungent tang of alcohol is no more invasive than it was prior. They expected to be able to taste the fumes coming off of whatever concoction they just took from you.

"I'm--" You start to protest, but you find yourself cut off when Leander says something that causes the crowded bar to go wild, cheers erupting. One of the Bloodhounds jostles Mhin in their mirth, causing your confiscated drink to upend, contents sloshing over the surface of the bar and soaking the sleeve of Mhin's shirt.

It's water.

You were saying those things while sober.

Mhin's eyes find yours, no attention spared for the slurring Bloodhound beside them. You're looking at them affectionately, lips quirked.

"Would you be mad at me if I told you that you're too cute?" You ask, something far too warm, too inviting in your words.

Mhin is halfway across the bar in a heartbeat, burning red ears gone deaf to the sound of Leander's voice, calling out to them that they haven't picked their pay up yet. They'll get it tomorrow, they think, racing towards the respite of the fresh night air. Away from the urge to--

Mhin doesn't let themself turn to look back at you as they leave. Though they can't stop themself from wondering: if they did, would they see you staring back at them?

Damn Mhin just take the compliment. I made Mhin's about their brains instead of their looks etc. bc while I think mentioning wanting to kiss their beauty mark would fluster them I think this is the type of thing that would absolutely infect their brain.  Have them thinking about those words over and over until it completely ruins their nightly Soulless hunting; they give up & just stargaze all night.

with a bunch of caregiver angel.

angel is the only one he trusts w his regression & the only one who even knows, but even then the discovery wasn't intentional; a particularly unpleasant run-in with alastor had left him disassociative & angel checking in on him was the straw that tore the camel's back into a million shreds. may or may not have been husk's first time ever feeling small, too ... so emotions r definitely running high (i say may or may not bc i genuinely Do Not know /hj)

it's a bit awkward between them after that bc neither of them really know What The Hell just happened, but eventually they work it out <333

nicknames (all of which from angel, of course <3) include: huskie, baby(cakes), & honey(pie). husk just calls him angel or, if particularly unwilling to use proper words, uses a very specific chirrup. i feel like there's gonna be a point down the road where he calls him tony too (*´꒳`*)♡

(also he called him angie once & to this day angel has been unable to let it go!!!)

generally prefers to be alone when he gets fuzzy-brained; husk doesn't do much when he's small anyways—8/10 he's napping & the other 20 percent consists of him just lounging around—so it's not exactly like he needs anyone to watch over him. he does enjoy angel's company very very much tho

kinda sorta hesitant abt the whole regression thing bc he's used to looking after everyone else; it's a weird shift, going from the most observant in the room to being too fuzzy to keep up w everything. there's a niggling voice in the back of his head that tells him he shouldn't or can't regress, that he's gotta be the watchful one bc how can he be sure someone else will? while angel's comfort is quite helpful in this regard, the voice still comes back every once in a while

doesn't regress really often & there isn't a drastic change in demeanor; he's more relaxed & he prefers for his bowtie n hat to be off

regresses more at nighttime bc there's a lesser chance of someone else finding out; also highly prefers his room bc of the comfort in familiarity

no set age range, he just gets fuzzy & feels smaller sometimes!

pretty quiet yet still capable of speaking, but he tends to lean more into catlike noises & habits—like short hisses when he's angry or scraping his claws on sturdy objects. yes he purrs when he n angel cuddle. this happens a lot bc husk loves cuddles (and canonically quite cuddly [￣∇￣])

when he wants attention he bumps his head against angel's arm or chin

blankets himself with his wings whenever he's upset or sleepy

telltale signs of regression: fidgeting with his wings and/or tail & relying more on noises than words. he normally shuts himself off in his room the moment he feels that fuzz forming over his brain, tho

more of a chewer than a paci-user cus of his fangs, so angel bought him a chewelry necklace. the shape is a fish. huskie nor husker is amused but they both appreciate the gift tremendously

isn't insanely big on having a ton of regression gear in general honestly. he's got maybe two chewelry necklaces & one stuffed bird to his name; it resembles the one he had in childhood. i don't think it has a proper name?? maybe just birdie

ohmygod he is so easily entranced by magic / card tricks it's ridiculous. literally it does not matter if it's a master's level trick or the simple "is this your card?", he'll be taking it all in with the biggest kitty eyes imaginable

not exactly bratty or particular but if he doesn't like something he will let it be known. like if angel startles him with a surprise tickle to his ribcage husk gives him the nastiest glare imaginable. doesn't even growl or anything, he just. glares. and the point is shot across like an arrow

he is like rarely ever in time out bc he doesn't really do anything? husk's regression normally consists of him layin around / sleepin, so he's never really up to anything troubling. the only time he's ever been in timeout is the day he just decided to press angel's buttons to be irritating & angel put him in timeout to prove a point 💀

Lusamine x Fem! Reader

A long work day is enough to wear down even the most dedicated workaholics. Despite your tired state, the knowledge that your family was eagerly awaiting your return helps keep your fatigue at bay.

Your feet drag across the pristine marble of the courtyard. Shoulders slumped, attire wrinkled, and hair disturbed from the fly back home, you slowly walk towards your abode, knowing that your family were close by. 

Trailing close behind you, with far more energy than you could ever wish to have, is your dear Petilil, who hums happily, knowing dinner time was fast approaching. You envy her energy, even if it was food motivated. Her hobbled steps only increase in speed as yours slow, allowing her to easily beat you to the door, hopping up and down in sheer excitement. Life truly was simple for her, wasn’t it?

You open the door with a clumsy hand, nudging the rest of the way open with your shoulder. Petilli rushes inside as you stop to pull off your shoes, listening to the chatter from a few rooms over. Petilil’s figure in the nearby doorway quickly disappears, only to be replaced by an overjoyed Silvally, bounding up to you before you can free your hands from your heels.

You’re left defenseless as he licks up one side of your face, a gesture that was in equal parts loving and disgusting. With shoes pulled off and thrown to the side, your hands turn to the overgrown man-made dog, gently petting the sides of his head, preventing him from licking again. He barks in response, clearly content with your presence and affection, but your attention is elsewhere.

“Mom!” Lillie comes rushing through the door, as fast as the two pokemon before her, and throws her arms around you. She’s rocking back and forth on her heels, smiling brightly, eyes brimming with excitement. You're about to greet her in return, moving one of your arms around her back and shoulder, but she cuts you off.

“You won’t believe where we went today! We went to Heahea City!” Her words come out quickly, clearly looking forward to unraveling the tale that took place earlier in the day.

“All the way out to Akala, huh? I’m sure you got to see all kinds of pokemon out there, didn’t you?” “Mmhmm! Mom let us go to the nearby beach, and we got to chuck all of the Pyukumuku that washed up on the shore.”

“You didn’t even touch any of them, Lillie.” Gladion appears in the door this time. His tone seems slightly annoyed, which his expression reflects. Still, you knew that he was just as excited to talk about their day as Lillie, he just didn’t like to show it. He’s a teenage boy, after all.

“That’s not my fault. They were all slimy!” Lillie uncoils her arms from you, grimacing at the mere memory of the water type’s feel. “Besides, I had to watch Vulpix so she didn’t swim too far away from the shore.” Gladion scoffs at her reasoning, about to fire back before you step in. You loved them both dearly, but a petty sibling squabble wasn’t something you had the energy to deal with right now.

“So you chucked them back into the water all by yourself then, Gladoin? I’m sure that was real fun, and I’m sure the Pyukumuku appreciated it, too.” 

“Are you kidding? It was the best!” This causes him to smile, patiamiming his throwing stance. “They just let you pick ‘em up and do whatever. Silvally tried to chase after them, even caught one midair before it hit the water. I wish we could have stayed longer.”

“We couldn’t stay, we had to go to-” Lillie is caught off by Lusamine calling after them both, finally appearing from the dining room. She looks at them kindly, but there’s a hint of exasperation behind her gaze.

“There you are. I know you’re both excited to tell mom all about what happened today, but you should let her get further than the front door before jumping on her.” She looks both of them in the eyes before meeting yours, flashing a closed-eye smile. “Welcome home, dear. As you can see, we missed you dearly.” She walks over, maneuvering around your daughter and Silvally to press a kiss to your check, causing Lillie and Gladion to wretch and groan. Parents showing affection was truly the most repulsive sight they’ve ever been subjected to.

“You two go run back to the table and finish dinner, alright? We’ll be there soon.” Gladion mutters something under his breath, walking away in fear of witnessing the creation of more cooties, Lillie (and Silvally) following shortly behind.

You breathe out a sigh, shedding your coat before fully leaning into Lusamine’s touch, head against her chest. She laughs, running a comforting hand up and down the length of your back, coaxing another, more content sigh from your lips.

“Seems like you had a long day, hmm?” “Far too long. What I would have given to join you all on Akala... I would much rather chuck sea cucumbers into the ocean for eight hours straight instead of… well, you know.” You peel away from her loving embrace, fighting your pleaing mind’s desire to stay.

“And you know we would have all loved that, too, even if some of us won’t say it outloud.” You snort at her comment, knowing how she loathes grappling with Gladion’s ‘I’m too cool to be hanging around my parents’ attitude. 

“What brought you out there, anyways? Just decided to take a day trip to get away from work for a bit?” Arceus knows that’s what you would have done if you had the chance.

“Actually, I went to speak to Professor Burnet at her lab. They’ve made quite a few discoveries over there, and I just couldn’t help but talk with her about them in person.” There’s a glimmer in her eyes as she speaks, obviously enthralled with whatever complex discussion they had. From the look alone, you know you wouldn’t understand a lick of it.

“So it was work after all? Well, at least you got to relax on the beach for a bit, or at least watch after Lillie and Gladion clean it up.” A yawn breaches from your lips, stretching as you finally begin to move into the kitchen. It was high time you got some dinner in you, and it was only a matter of time before Petilil came to harass you for hers.

“Who’s to say I didn’t pitch in? Even if they can live on the sand, it’s much better for them if they stay in the shallow water, and it protects them from being tripped over, as well.” Despite her elegant appearance, your wife’s physical strength was nothing to scoff at.

The image of her throwing them alongside Gladion, along with your desire for food, makes you forget all about Lillie being cut off from before. Of course, it wouldn’t remain a secret for long, as Lillie and Gladion will likely blab about their short trip to Konikoni before you even sit down.

But if Lusamine’s lucky, she might be able to present the darling necklace she spent the afternoon picking out for you in complete surprise.

I saw a picture on twitter w some kind of caption and decided that i could make it look like a banner

i tried to add the fire flaming text that i saw on some reposted to twitter tumblr posts where someome makes a grammatical error and someone corrects them in a form of flaming (sometimes animated) text (never change guys, gals and all of you magnificent pals lol) but at the time i didnt know the website that you all used so i tried to improvise and google

I remember half way thru the making of this text being so upset that it looked like shit but after taking a break for 20 minutes i said "fuck it, it is way funnier this way" and i kinda glad that back then i decided to "fuck it we ball" it
