first thing i wanna touch on is STOP checking on ppl that no longer have space in ur life. its just so stagnant and useless like why do u care? if u have enough time to check on someone from YEARSS ago (especially if this someone did u wrong) then ur wasting time that u won't get back. go spend ur time on something useful like affirming.

i feel like this also encompasses not trying to change people. respect a person for who they are -> not what u hope they will become. dont be friends or get into a relationship with someone for potential because they won't grow and evolve unless they WANT to. if ur thinking "oh just give them time, they have potential" or "they'll change, they won't keep hurting and disregarding my feelings" then ur just wasting ur time.

ALSO it doesnt matter if ur excuse is that you've known each other for a long time, ur allowed to leave relationships, situationships, friendships that no longer serve you its YOUR life. ur 100% allowed.

LEARN URSELF ;

by becoming aware of what u value, what triggers you, ur boundaries etc you can stay true to that and protect urself better. something that u can do to help you to learn yourself + how to protect urself is

make a list of things that u LIKE or are OKAY with. things that make u feel good. then make a list of things that make u feel bad and things that u don’t like…💬🎀

stay true to that list. when u understand urself and ur triggers u can protect urself better. live privately because what ppl don’t know they can’t ruin. not everyone has to know ur business, which leads me to my next point.

dont put ur business out there for everyone ALL the time. privacy is power and the more private u are the less people will have to try and sabotage u because not everyone wants the best for you. when u tell everyone everything that makes you vulnerable and vulnerability can be good when building meaningful relationships and connections, you should NOT be vulnerable with every single person.

Ommg yess but like imagine reader being a spider person and unbeknownst to her, Miguel has grown really fond of her, seeing her as his own daughter and so he... dotes on you. Look, his family loss is still fresh, so he has this abundance of platonic love that he just needs to pour and you are luckily (or not) that person.

And papa Miguel is like trying so hard not to show that he cares about your well being, but HE DOES and he's always worried about you and he just wants to pull u out of the field and tell u its too dangerous for u to be spiderman, but he doesn't wanna say it because then he'll have to explain his concern for u and I've already told u guys that he's an emotionally crippled father who cant say "I love you" but their actions always scream out the words.

So, he thinks its best to just take care of you as best as he can without arousing suspicion from you or pulling u out of the field (cause he knows u love being a hero). He makes you food(mostly mexican because everything else doesn't have enough spice and it doesnt matter if u cant handle spice, you will LEARN to), okay? I mean good, homecooked meals, 3 times a day and he expects you to eat breakfast and dinner(ofcourse u have a curfew) with him. But lunches? well, since you're always on missions during lunch time, he packs u up some food for u to take and he always checks your bento box (ALSO SPIDERMAN THEMED OBV) but perhaps this one day, you forgot to or didnt want to take your lunch along (a very tasty burrito) and when Miguel sees your lunch in his kitchen, he is LOSING it all. My man here is making himself go crazy(ier) by overthinking the worst possible scenarios (because this is unusual behavior in his textbook) and he sends a sort of AMBER alert on your ass because you're not answering his calls/texts(cause ur busy fighting bad guys) and Miguel just sends the ENTIRE spider society to find where you are and bring you home ASAP. Obv the spider society follows his orders to bring you because he's boss man and he probably has some important reason to drag ur ass home and not because papa's heart cant handle that his baby missed lunch???

Omg can you imagine reader finally finishing tying up the bad guys and now stops by a pizza place to grab a slice and girl looks outside to see 100 spidermans swinging around, all coming her way. These guys all shoot enough webs until you were practically cocooned in them and perfectly immobilised, and then they all open up the portal to deliver u to Miguel.

And Miguel just shoos them all away before he begins to free u from the webs and asks where u were, what happened, did the bad guys hurt u, were u kidnapped.

"Yeah-" you pulled the webs out of your hair. "-by your men!" And Miguel explains that he sent them after you because he thought something bad happened to u.

"Why would you think that?"you inquired.

Because you forgot your lunch at home. No, he cant say that.

"I- my spider senses were telling me to. I guess they were wrong." Now before you could ask more questions, he changes the topic. "Anyways, you must be hungry. Lets eat lunch-"

Ur art is such an inspiration and motivation for me, as a fellow artist. I’ve been following ur stuff for a bit now and I was wondering how you decided to draw loid, yor, and anya the way you do. I say this bc I really want to start making my own fan arts, but i struggle to take this anime style and have these character read as [insert character] without it being in a “anime style.”

And I guess this applies to any character you want take from a media, and translate it into your style. Bc i don’t necessarily think ur art style is considered “anime” i kinda just see it as an abstraction ig. But even if it is, it isn’t in the style of anime show is yk? Yet the characters read as who they’re supposed to be.

And I think a while back you u mentioned that you were struggling on decided how to draw loid. ig i wanna know How did you come to the decision that “yes, this looks correct and I wanna draw him like this.”

Is it finding defining feature and proportions? Just messing around until you figure something out? And I assume you make a character sheet to keep it consistent?

Like i literally go to art school but cant draw anything without a reference photo and it killing me 😔💀💀

i will try my best to answer below, but i dont think it is anything profound or super secret lmao

so i think that artists get really caught up with finding/establishing a style when they are first starting out. i say this because i was no different. to me it was like 'oh if i have a style then i am a Real artist instead of just a copier'

but like, i think that order is backwards. like the more that you draw things you enjoy, the more those drawings will become your own and in your 'style' if that makes sense. heavy emphasis on the quantity here. you just gotta go really at it. and the best way to do this is through sheer quantity tbh.

however at the same time, i dont really agree with the whole 'draw x things per day every day' thing cuz sometimes thats just hard man. i mean you mentioned you were in art school so you're probably drawing every day anyways, but for a hobbyist or fanartist (me lol) its mostly based on whether u feel like drawing or not. Which is why its rlly cool when you have a show/book/movie/anything you're really into which makes you want to draw more! it becomes something fun rather than a chore.

so basically, dont view a style as something you have to develop right away, or turn drawing into a chore, because that will be very counteractive trust me.

another important thing i wanted to mention, you said "reference photo trap" but ITS NOT A TRAP! USE REFERENCES!!! REFERENCES ARE IMPORTANT AND GOOD (i am assuming you already know this, but using references is not the same as tracing. just to make it clear)

this is another thing common with newer artists (and of course how i used to be), where you feel like you have to draw 'from your mind' for it to be an indicator of any skill. NOT TRUE!! you need to use references to get better!

lastly, to answer your question (as best i can lol) there was never any point when i decided 'yes this is it' when drawing. you just draw and draw and keep changing and growing. it is a little of everything you said (defining features, proportions, messing around) but it is also just drawing a lot and having fun! :D oh and i definitely do not have a character sheet. i am not anywhere near that organized LMAO

we finally have the kaisagi team up that i've been calling for since ages ago! this isn't a surprise. not when we've seen time and time again how characters who are rivals in bllk reluctantly (and sometimes not so reluctantly like now) team up to defeat the opposing team. isagi-nagi, barou-isagi, and even rin-isagi to an extent. so this was definitely coming.

but also wanna talk about this in terms of michael's character bc apparently there were people doubting that michael would agree? which is so funny to me? the way people don't understand michael's character is so funny to me.

Michael Kaiser wants to be the best. He wants to win. If you think he won't seize every opportunity he can to win this game then u really have been reading this manga so far with ur eyes closed. the kaiser who would deny isagi's offer of team up is the one who was still stuck to his old ways and clung to his pride. Michael in this game quite literally discarded his pride. He chose to do it bc he realised his pride and refusal to change was causing him to stagnate. which is also what prompted him to discard ness. the moment he changed, he was saying "please" to raichi. RAICHI. a player michael doesn't even consider on the same level as him like?? if he can do that so that he can win why wouldnt he team up with isagi?

people don't get michael's character and its so ??? to me. also u dont get bllk rivals either. time and time again we've seen bllk players who are intense rivals having to cooperate with each other for the greater win. nagi-isagi, barou-isagi, rin-isagi. like it has happened before and it will continue to happen. bc despite the whole best striker and everything, its still football. a game that is very much about players cooperating with eo.

so. michael teaming up with isagi isnt a surprise. this is an opportunity for him to seize a win and prove that he's the best in his generation.

that’s why he knew your friends were to blame as soon as you yapped out the words “m’not coming back right now, you’re not my dad!” over the phone before hanging up on him like a coward. he pushed his tongue into his cheek, hearing the beep signifying the end of the call. okay, then.

he scoffs on the drive over there, thinking about the way you said it. you really thought he wouldn’t be able to hear the overexcited whispers of your friends in the background leading you astray, or the nervous tremor in your voice as you squeak out the insult, hitting the end call button as quickly as humanely possibly all so that you wouldn’t have to face his backlash. that wasn’t his angel, no. that was the work of the devil, and you were not to be seen hanging out with them any more, not if he had anything to do with it.

he approaches calmly, with authority— relishing in the way your face drops when you see him walk into the bar and toward your table. your friends notice your change in behaviour first, eyeing the way you jump off your bar stool and immediately pick up your bag, getting ready to go.

he has that malicious smirk when he steps up to the table, practically a wall as you try and push at his tummy, leading him away before he says anything. “evening ladies.” he ignores you, eyes travelling round the table.

“sup, rafe.” one of them boredly twirls her straw, knowing he’s literally a psycho.

“you know, i think it’s best you all stay the hell away from my girl from now on. yeah? ‘cos— ‘cos i think it’s in everyone’s best interest and…” he leans his hands on the table, glancing around. “you wouldn’t want any trouble for your friend now, right?” he reaches out and places a hand on your arm without looking at you. your friends shake their head and he nods in satisfaction.

he doesn’t let you say goodbye, doesn’t let you say a thing — just leads you calmly out the bar with a forceful hand at the small of your back, walking you all the way to the car. your heart was thumping, wondering what kind of trouble you’d be in.

the drive was silent until he broke the quiet with a laugh and the shake of his head, something that could never be good in rafes book.

there’s no one home, unsurprisingly— so he takes you straight to the living room, pushing you down on the couch. you fall onto it face first, scrambling to sit up but he pushes you back down to lay on your tummy— keeping a warning hand on your back for a moment, bunching your skirt up above your ass before removing it, aggressively working his belt off.

“rafe!” you cry, wiggling on the couch.

“ah— s’not what you’re calling me anymore now, is it?”

“dad.” you whine shamefully, grabbing a couch cushion to press your cheek into.

“better.” he approaches, kneeling down beside you on the couch for a moment, belt folded in his hands. “do you feel better after talkin’ to me like that, baby? lettin’ your friends boss you around?”

Touya and you were childhood friends. You had known him since you were a toddler, because you were neighbours.

The first time you met Touya, was when you were around three years old. Your had just moved in to the neighbourhood, so your mother decided that you should greet and introduce yourselves to the family next door.

You didn't remember that moment with a lot of detail, but you recalled your mother knocking on the door, a beautiful white haired woman opening, and a little Touya peeking from behind.

From that moment on, Touya became part of your life, and you his. You practically ate, slept and breathed together. It was so common for you to be at his house, that you weren't even amazed anymore by the fact that his father was one of the biggest heroes.

To you, he was just the man who usually made your best friend cry.

Touya was homeschooled, so he always asked you what it was like to study with other people. His reality was very different to yours; he was taught by private tutors, and as he grew up, most of his free time was spent on quirk trainning with his father.

Still, you did everything that was possible so you could see him everyday. Of course, you started to spend time with his sibblings as well. Fuyumi was just a few months younger than you, whereas Natsuo and Shoto were still very little.

As the years passed, you started to comprehend better a lot of things, you started to see things that you hadn't seen before.

You saw how Touya's father had a lot of expectations on him, you saw how your best friend was getting injured because of this, you saw the way Rei was as preoccupied as you were, and you understood how impotent you were in this situation.

The only thing you could do for Touya, was hold him while he cried, help him clean his wounds, and hear him vent about his father.

Throughout the decade you had known Touya, you had seen him change. He seemed to have lost his happineess, and replaced it with a motivation to please his father's wishes.

But you always remained as his constant.

Since you met, Touya told you that he would keep you by his side forever, that when you grew up, you'd be together for the rest of your lives.

But destiny played its cards, and on a windy day in winter something happened...

"Y/N, today is the day! I'm going to show my father how a great hero I can become!" Touya said, seemingly excited.

"Are you sure Tou? I'm sure you'll be a great hero, but I'm still worried about you..." You said to your best friend. Touya scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You sound like my mother, Y/N. I have told you not to worry, I'm stronger than my father, he has to see that!"

"I really hope he does. Just be careful, Tou!" You knew better than to push Touya. He needed to feel supported, so you gave him that.

"Yeah, whatever..." Touya shrugged, and you both stayed silent for a few seconds, before he spoke again.

"You know, Y/N? I want you to be by my side forever. I'll marry you when we're older."

"Huh!? Don't talk nonesense Tou, you're too young to decide that!" You felt your cheecks burn.

"That's why I said when we're older. I'll be the greatest hero, and I'll have the greatest best friend as my partner" Touya gave you a small smirk, so you shoved his shoulder.

"Shut up, idiot!" You said, but couldn't help the smile you had.

You both started laughing and shoving each other. In that moment, your heart burnt with intensity, but the incident that happened later that evening made it burst into a thousand ashes.

That was the last time you had seen Touya; he had made you a promise he wasn't able to fulfill. Your forever dissapeared hand in hand with him.

The years that followed didn't make it any easier, you kept telling yourself "It takes time", but deep down you knew that it was only making you ache more and more.

So, when you watched the news and saw your childhood best friend confessing to be part of the League of Villains, you entered a state of shock. You felt a mix of happiness, nostalgia, hope and depression.

You weren't sure whether he remembered you, if you could contact him or if you should just let everything stay buried. But a few days after the transmission, you found a letter in your doorstep.

It was inside of an envelope, that had "Touya" written in it. You sat down on your couch and opened it, with a hole in your stomach.

"Dear Y/N, It's been a long time, so I'm not sure if you will read this. I haven't had classes in a long of time, so don't get petty with my spelling, okay dumbass? luxury is abundance. luxury can be incorporated thru ur habits, the way that u hold and manage urself etc. u dont have to wait until u reach ur financial goals to live in luxury.

SET STANDARDS FOR URSELF ;

set a high standard for urself and the rest will follow. when u pour into urself the way that should, you'll literally exude luxury. luxury is synonymous with self care. when u care for urself the way that u should, and when u give urself princess treatment everyone else will too. treat urself RIGHT.

if u wanna live in luxury or be a luxurious girlie there are STANDARDS that ur environment should meet, the company that u choose to surround urself with, the thoughts in ur head etc. there is a new standard when u decide to live differently.

alana maxwell is very saeyoung from mystic messenger coded, thats why i gave her the dr pepper can lmfao

she forgets to eat often so shes a lil underweight- but its okay kepler and jacobi will make sure she doesnt actually faint from hunger

she is also taller than jacobi i tihnk she would b like... 176cm or so... jacobi is like 170cm and kepler is around 185cm

she also doesnt have a lot of scars on her body since she gets protected when working on a laptop by the other two during ops (or she is working as a sniper, and thus she isnt a direct target most of the time)

charles didn’t have drs after overtaking 4 cars, it was lap 1. you’re entitled to your opinions, and i don’t even particularly disagree with it, but i find it odd that you don’t acknowledge that max getting 20 sec gap to p2 wasn’t also due to the safety car & red flag while charles’ lap 1 is being justified on the track change. idk just food for thoughts, i don’t think minimizing how good charles was in abu dhabi—not even his best race of the year—and saying it’s not comparable to max’s one when they gained the same number of place, even if under different circumstances, is particularly justified and incomparable

again, it’s not to fight with u, max’s drive in brazil was generational, no one is denying it

Plenty of sharls charge to the podium during this race was made wid DRS bro believe it or not I think it takes absolutely nothing away from his performance. A driver has to be able to beat an opponent to a specific detection point not just thru the straight line sections but technical corners as well. There were plenty of other drivers who unlike sharl cud not make use of it like he did because they didnt manage their laps as well. Idk how u can read what I wrote before and say I 'minimized' Sharls Abu Dhabi drive. The op I addressed claimed Sharl 'stole' the best drive of the season from Max's Brazil. Thats not saying shit is 'comparable' and its not 'justifiable' no matter how u wanna look at it. Its laughable even. I wont hold back on that sorry. I think its a bonkers thing to say. Sharls Abu Dhabi was a great drive from an ever growing future threat to the standings, and u wanna etch his 1st lap into the fabric of history like sure. I think he taught some lessons in terms of managing the chaos around him to immediately execute a series of flawless overtakes and reestablish control of the pecking order wid sheer pace and ability in a single lap. But Max's drive in Brazil is not comparable to Abu Dhabi in any way shape or form because its not comparable to anything anybody else has ever done wid cold tires under pouring rain in this era of Formula 1. It exists outside of the average realm of racing. I feel like I'm repeating myself and its getting frustrating. Interlagos wasnt a good career drive, it was an historical individual effort by an all time great who turned unprecedented circumstances into an advantaged he carried to a title. Mizu revealing her being a woman to taigen AFTER he confesses his feelings to mizu AFTER being bested during their duel once again is literally so fucking personal to me. Jesus fuck... FUCK. Like. How overwhelmingly loved she must feel. How SEEN. Truly for once n not just but loved and wanted!!! Its so personal to me. Just. Taigen, losing, n then immediately leaning in for a kiss. Mizu is lost cuz what?? Why?? N taigen just. Confesses, but hes holding back cuz mizus reaction was not great and he doesn't wanna ruin the friendship they've formed these past months, they've grown so close so fast n its scary but so exciting n so right but if mizu doesnt want this then nothing is happening n its ok he has a CHOICE. Like. FUCK!! N then mizu telling taigen to wait and that night she reveals it. And its just sooo fucking intimate. Its so soft. Mizu revealing her being a woman to akemi totally by accident AFTER they just had an argument abt women's choices in society AFTER mizu accidentally took one (1) big sip of sake, n then deciding fuck it im gonna win this argument, guess what akemi. And that's how akemi finds out. N Mizu thinks akemi is going to hate her, n she does for a bit in silence, but mostly shes just hurt? For herself AND for Mizu. They've grown but in different ways. Akemi, in taking life by the reins n being assertive and strong and so dangerously intelligent like shes always been but now, now its crucial to be that. And Mizu in realizing that she truly, truly wants to be loved so badly but to be loved is to be vulnerable and thats what scares her the most, to be weak; but ure only strong if u can be weak too, and thats what she learns. And i think this is where they really get deep into their feelings. Before it was a crush, an annoying one. Now? Oh bby theyre down bad. Yes they are.
