Let it not be left unsaid that Jason hates this entire thing. Jason hates giving any bats an inch, knowing they'll take a mile and rustle through anything they could get their dirty mitts on.But he needs this information and his only in was using an old identity. An old Robin identity, and unfortunately(?) Jason doesn't look enough like his old self to use this particular face.

It sucks, but there's nothing to be done from it. Kids grow up, and even people on the streets can reach Jason's height without being taken in by a billionaire or pushed into a lake or concentrated golden evil. But because teen Jason had understandably had assumed Catherine was his biological mother (which Bruce would have known wasn't the case and yet he never fucking told him), and she had spent years placating Jason's height related angst by telling him her brothers were all short and there was nothing to be done. It led to a grim acceptance and a hard drive full of gay porn about muscle hunks pounding twinks into oblivion, with Jason as the twink of course. He'd been positive that was the future, so he had maybe insinuated that he was less teenager and more a young twink when making this identity. And he did it well enough that even if he'd grown more, that reputation would help undercover.

Except Jason isn't a twink anymore. He's firmly in hunk territory like what seems like every other cape, and when he's in the mood for it, he has to actually put in the work to find someone capable of fucking him like his teenage porn stash, which usually ends up just being Roy who is a bro like that.

So with the himself out of the running, Jason needed to find someone trained like a bat for this...except none of the bats are close to twinks either. Hunks, all of them are hunks straight from every man lover's dream. But with some clever makeup and clothing tricks, they can at least hide that fact a little better with Tim.

Tim who despite all his experience with disguising himself and being openly bisexual needed a crash course on the gay Gotham scene. Habits needed to be unlearned, lingo needed to be taught until it was second nature, the way he walked the angle of his wrist every stupid little thing that screams "I'm a rich white man" that he, Dick, and Bruce could never fully wipe away, needed to be broken down and burnt so Drake could play a convincing Jacob "Jay" Knight.

Jason finishes up Tim's makeup and has to hold back a shudder. It's uncanny, seeing this ghost of what could have been in front of him. Ice blue eyes hidden behind a layer of green to bring out something closer to Jason's turquoise. Big doe eyes, same as Jason's, with the right kind of makeup to make them pop the way his own does. Some makeup to make thin lips plumper, mousse to make straight hair give some wave, to make it look more like someone trying to tame curls than the opposite. Face cleanly shaven, eyelashes fuller than they are naturally, pencil to thicken Tim's eyebrows and give them a less pronounced arch. They couldn't do too much to Tim's nose, but luckily both he and Jason have had them broken enough that a smart comment could pass that away.

It was a little hellish to get Tim's boxier form to look more like Jason's lankier triangle, same with Tim's legs into something fuller, but they were able to do it with clever costuming. Costumes that Jason had to put on Tim himself because the guy kept fucking it up.

"You good?" comes the passable accent from a face too pretty to have such a nasty sounding thing. A few more days and Tim will be a thorn in Jason's ass for the rest of time with the ease skeleton key to the Upper Island Gotham Jason handed him on a silver platter.

Tim is good, he's really good, and Jason hates being on the other side of being mimicked. If this is what it's always like then it's no wonder Dick thought Jason was a creepy little shit as Robin. Jason played the role of Dick Grayson near perfectly, and if Dick felt like anything Jason does it certainly explains why his visits could be counted on one hand.

"Just making sure you haven't moved anything again," Jason says instead, looking at the obscenely tight shorts Tim has on, cursing his teenage self for wearing them all the time.

Thinking about the FGA vampire imagery. Fugo thinking of himself as Lucy instead of Jonathan or Mina (from Bram Stoker's Dracula). Lucy, the well-behaved woman that wanted what she could not have in the society she lived in. Lucy, who was preyed on because of her innocence and kindness. Lucy, who became a "wanton creature of ravenous sexual appetite" after being turned, reflecting her restrained inner desire. Something something Fugo blaming himself for being hungered after something something afraid to become a demon for his "sins" something something subconsciously seeing himself in a character who ends up dying for having desires in the wrong way. Is it trauma or is it homosexuality. Are these feelings for Giorno because he was "bitten by the vampire" and has now transformed into an evil fucked up sexual creature that must be killed to save his soul or is it actually nothing and normal and okay.

The chapter title being "Lucy In the Sky of Red Ink". of course it's referencing Fugo's nightmare but also it alludes to lucy bram stoker darcula . "Lucy" is in the sky that is full of red ink. Fugo is Lucy (pay attention!!!) *taps mic* can anyone hear me please please please

I would say more about giorno but we don't get his perspective on any of this. Does he think of himself as the monstrous Dracula? Does he see Dracula's ambition for lost glory (much like his father's former reign) and think of himself? I feel it in my bones, if it was flashbacks or hallucinations, they would have alluded to it already.

They could point out that Comics Matt loves to dream and hallucinate dead loved ones, he does it all the gd time. Or even better, point to the flashbacks from DDS1 or the flashbacks and ghosts/hallucinations in DDS3. All of these are precedent for dead characters being a valuable presence in Matt Murdock's life.

The haven't done that at all. The closest was Frank asking Matt if he hears Foggy which they proceeded to do nothing with. Instead it's "without going into spoiler territory" and "gotta watch for the snipers" and "it's too much fun to spoil" and "will someone return from the dead? anything is possible".

I just don't see the benefit of jerking us around when they could manipulate us into giving them that sweet sweet OG Daredevil praise they obviously crave instead.

Never understood people who say Five is 'too soft' because... have we been watching the same show? Were they asleep during the first season, which he spends being dismissive and cold with Adric, an issue that was never resolved when Adric was brutally killed? Do they, like many of the show's adversaries, mistake his outward appearance of 'harmless, affable English fellow' for weakness, even though he could switch from that to being your worst enemy on a dime? His continued dry humour, now bitter and sarcastic, in the face of danger or evil is one of the character's most compelling aspects. He hardly changes his outward demeanour, and his continued affected politeness makes him seem all the more dangerous as you see the fury and outrage boiling underneath, and you see a plan form behind his steely eyes.

And if he is sentimental sometimes, why do they see it as being 'too soft', instead of what it truly is: a need to atone, after the universe punished him for his harshness towards Adric in the worst possible way? Adric's death haunts Five for the rest of his life, and you can actually see it in Davison's portrayal, even if no mention of Adric occurs in the script. You can see Adric's ghost in the wild desperation in Five's eyes during his final serial, while he rushes to give his life to save his companion. Because he cannot let this happen again because of him. And the last word out of his mouth as he dies is 'Adric', as we come to the heart-wrenching realisation that his mind is not filled with his own imminent doom but with thoughts of that poor boy, of how he killed him, of how he never got to show how much he cared for him. Of how much it hurt that he could almost be forgiven by trading his life for Peri's, but still he could never go back and save Adric.

And that's why my blood boils when people say he's 'too soft'. He's one of the few classic doctors with a character arc, for god's sake, and it's all about him being too harsh.

Revisiting Bartimaeus tag first time in two years feels like coming home from a long journey tbh. SDKJFHKJD I DONT THINK SO? i think if it was in a yandere or toxic context he'd still be very amiable bc he knows how important it is to be like...perceived as nice and benevolent. even at his most manipulative i think he is very sympathetic towards you.

reo is very moody in a sense so even when you're doing something he doesnt like i dont think he condscends u as much as he simply freaks out about it if u will

this is not particularly at u anon but a few times ive gotten this and im kind of surprised by fandom impression of reo but that guy is like. exceptionally nice. not only is he well off he's also very popular at school and general well liked so i do not think he is (canonly) that douchey? maybe its something about him in the anime
