Honestly this song has been nonstop on repeat for a few days now. I've been in a slight Infamous IF mood and his voice just gives me Sergio (my MC) vibes so listening to this has been very self-indulgent. I keep headcanoning he sings this song at Battle of the Bands P: BUT outside of OC indulgence -- I discovered BMTH is actually still doing music all these years !?!?!? and they are bangers! So big win. Check it out! Also the music video is so fun lol

OK back to OC self indulgence. I recently made a playlist for my durge Jozsef a few days ago mixed with some slight otp vibes too with Naressa (bhaalspawn OC who belongs to @uldren-sov) and this is one of the songs that super hits for me. Just a perfect little creepy romance vibes and I can never get enough MUSE in my life.

shoutout to people who don't have a "before" the trauma.

shoutout to people who don't have any sweet or nostalgic childhood memories. to people who don't remember enough of their childhood to know what the before was like. to people who lost their innocence before they ever learned the word for it. to people whose pasts were too painful to keep around in any form. to people who only knew trauma, and don't have an idea of what life would be like without it. to people who can't long for "the better days" because there weren't any.

you deserve a good future. i hope it's there for you soon.

i do get why people are going so hard in on reminding each other that depicting something bad in fiction isn't the same as endorsing that thing. but also i feel like that's a talking point that cedes a lot of ground i'm not willing to cede re: the right to engage with works that do endorse a bunch of bigoted or harmful shit. interacting with a work of fiction that wholeheartedly espouses a worldview you do not agree with isn't a trojan horse that injects hitler particles into your bloodstream or something. like sometimes you read a book and your main takeaway is 'wow this author thinks women are cattle' or something along those lines and nothing about the process of having read that book has in any way damaged your moral integrity. it's fine! it's fine. you can learn a lot about yourself by reading shit that's hostile to your worldview.
