D-16 groans, optics fluttering online.

Staring up at the sky, servo rubbing his helm, trying to recalibrate with what happened. He sat up and saw that Orion is online too, trying to wake elita up. ‘He’s gonna get punched in the face again.’

D thought, shaking his helm, before immediately remembering something important.

He frantically got up and looks around the surface, yellow optics scan the jagged surroundings before spotting a familiar pair of peds, upside down and kicking. “Bee!” He shouts, climbing up the hill mount.

He grabs both ankle guards, pulled and revealed the happy yellow sparkling, upside down and giggly. “Hi Dee!” The youngling says, smiling.

D sighs in relief and flips him up right before putting him back down. “You ok? How’s your helm?” D fuses, checking bee’s helm and plating for dents.

“Uhm… it hurts but it doesn’t?” Bee asks, helm tilt slightly to the left. D huffs a chuckle, not immune to the adorable sparkling bee is.

For a nanoklilk, D-16 hears elita-1 screaming her helm off. Both bots turn to the pink fury and saw her pacing and screaming, then went and punch a mountain, Orion trying to talk to her before she snatches the device.

D-16 cringed at the whole one sided conversation between Orion and elita, where bee looked worried at the three before looking up at the sky, getting D’s attention and point to the gradient the surface offered.

It worked very well as D stares directly up at the sky, bee smiles holding D’s servo before he forced out a yelp as someone picks him up, making him let go of the servo. Confused he looks up and saw it was elita-1.

“Hi! I’m b-127, or bee! Or badassatron! Are you coming with us-?” he babbled on, elita continues to walk while Orion waits for D-16 before following elita.

Orion turned and snorts, seeing an impressive scowl as the yellow optic bot stares daggers at elita-1. “What?” D asked, turning to Orion. “Sorry, just that you’re staring daggers at our ex-commander- what’s she do anyway?”

D-16 huffs and crosses his arm guards, for a couple of kliks he sighed and finally-. “She took my baby.” He confessed, that got a laugh out of Orion and that made D punch him in the shoulder pad.

“Sorry, sorry.. I didn’t think you’d say it out loud.” He chuckles, patting D’s shoulder guard. “Does that mean he’s our baby then?” Orion asks, earning him a hiss from D-16. “You’re the cousin that makes regrettably life choices, pax.”

“… rude, but ouch, don’t like how quick you answered.” Orion says, but D-16 stopped listening. Yellow optics focused on bee, who’s chatting elita-1’s audible off. ‘Serves her right.’ D thought, smirking at her annoyed expression.

When blue optics meet his yellow one’s bee waved his servo, a bright smile on the sparkling’s faceplates. This made D smile as he himself waved back to bee.

He chuckled to himself and kept on walking, servos hitting the metallic rocks beneath. ‘Primus, this is lot to take in. We find the matrix, I’m heading back up.’

D thought, crossing his arms, staring out at the horizon. Thinking about bringing Orion and bee with him too, maybe making it a forever home again…

It’s wishful thinking, but it’s something he can put up with.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitches and Bastards, Witches and Wizards, Mothers and Fuckers. Esteemed robot enjoyers, I present to you a semi-accurate height comparison of Bumblebee across the multiverse (as of July 2024). This really helps visualize the truly staggering differences between universes, at least height-wise. Also, three of these characters are Canonically the Same Guy; guess which ones.

I spent way too much time on the chart in the back it's not even funny. I will probably make more height charts for more TF characters and universes in the future. Don't expect it soon though, because when I make these, I am fueled by pure I-Got-Bored-At-Work-And-I-Have-Decided-To-Fool-Around-With-Robot-PNGs, and that fuel supply is inconsistent at best.

Hey Fun Fact, Did you know that Generation 1 Optimus Prime is around 19 Feet Tall? Bet some of you already knew that. I have no ulterior motives for bringing this fact up, what are you talking about.

My height explanations are below the cut, because you couldn't shut me up if you tried.

In an order:

Gen 1 - ~10 feet (the wiki says greater than 3 meters so I rounded up to the first whole number because round)

Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~10 feet (He looks identical to Gen 1 so... the reason his photo looks weird is because I couldn't find a good full body photo with him standing straight up facing the camera so I put two images together to make the worst looking photoshop job you have ever seen)

Earth Spark - 10 feet (There is no confirmed height yet but using a screen shot of him standing in front of a barn door I was able to make a reasonable guess.)

Animated - 12 feet (I have no genuine source for this, I think this info is just someone's guesstimate, but it seems reasonable. He's a tiny two door mini car, how big could he be)

New Live Action - 15 feet (The wiki hath declared. Also do we have a name for this universe because we need one I don't want to keep saying like 6 words to differentiate this one from bayverse)

Bayverse V1 - 16 feet (This is like the first 3 movies minimum, I don't remember when he hits his growth spurt. also wiki my love)

Cyberverse - 18 feet (I'm gonna be honest, the only info we have is from a really shitty screen shot of a magazine. SO if any one has a copy of this book from the video below, a high quality scan would be greatly appreciated and I will kiss the ground you walk upon. Yes I found the video where the screen shot comes from leave me alone)

Bayverse V2 - 18 feet (movie 4-5 I can't remember which one, I'm not re-looking this up. I fucking love the bayverse tho, this is the only universe with concrete and consistent this-character-is-this-height info)

Aligned Cont. WF/FOC - 20 feet (video game info screens you god send, kiss me sweetly)

Aligned Cont. TFP/RID15 - 21 feet (I do not know exactly where these numbers were found, but I fully fucking believe them. Just by looking at these characters on the show I can verify these numbers in my mind. They made specifically this universe to be full of freakishly tall robots for some fucking reason.)

And for any one who doesn't know, the three tallest are the same guy. Like the 20 feet tall one and the 21 feet tall ones, same guy. The ones in three wildly different art styles and designs. Let that sink in...

I fucking hate the aligned continuity why is that one my favorite.

btw yes, I'm also still stuck thinking about how in the cutscene at the start of the attack of Astarion's siblings, Astarion himself is standing right next to your bed.

Every time that scene is mentioned or brought up on my dash, I just keep thinking about how the bed the PC is shown using in the long rests (which seems to me like the top left one as you enter that side-room), and the one in which he's presumably been resting, are basically on the very opposite ends of the room.

like... sure, it already has me scratching at the walls to think about how, when unromanced, he probably felt something was wrong and went immediately to wake you and let you know (trust!!! friendship!!!), but it has me extra feral to think that he had abandoned the bed he had originally claimed in favor of yours, and was sprung from his lover's embrace by the arrival of his siblings. (Because you can't talk about cuddling, and cuddliness, and call yourself "cuddly Astarion" in the same scene, without actually cuddling sometimes lol.)

I kind of like to imagine that even on top of it being self-defense, springing to his feet so fast, there could also be something instinctively protective in the fact that he so quickly puts his own body between you and danger.

I mean,

right before the camera would focus on him, he's bent forward, snarling at them to get away, coiled to strike even unarmed (well. as unarmed as a vampire can be), and only relaxes into the conversation-pose when you stir, and Aurelia speaks.

And like, that doesn't feel like a conscious action, or even much of a purposeful decision from a mechanic standpoint (most likely the devs needed him to stand there-ish for there to be enough room for the PC to get up, and stand next to him for the conversation's camera angles to make sense), but I do like to imagine that at this point in the relationship, he just... acts without thinking, and puts himself into the more dangerous position on instinct. It lines up very nicely with that sweet, rather earnest line he says in the Wyrm's Lookout scene. (PC: "All that matters to me is that you're safe." Astarion: "I know you do. It matters to me, as well. I want to be able to protect you, too.")

... The rest of his "this is for us, this is to protect you, we're a team" lines are of course calculated, manipulative bullshit, and taking them at face value would be a mistake even if there is a kernel of truth at their core, but I think that one is genuine, and it's corroborated by this unthinking jump to your defense.
