I know that your designs might be uncommon, and they might not fit the quote unquote 'fandom norm', but they're so cool to see. Some of my favorite fanart has been with QSMP eggs that don't look like the typically design-and while the typical design is still absolutely lovely, don't feel like you need to conform to it. The eggs have no canon design. They have widely spread fanon ones, but those are only common because we, the fans, made them common. Draw what you'd like, because it's incredible to watch from the sidelines as casual competitive fanart reblogger.

Hey yall.

I’m considering deleting tumblr. I won’t delete my blog but I will likely delete the app.

I’m a believer that your relationship with Christ is personal. Some people can handle the ever changing, always a little negative spaces of the internet. I don’t know if I can. There are some very funny, cute, loving, wonderful spaces on the internet. But what I’ve found is that no matter how many filters I put on it there is always a lot of negative.

Not that negative is always bad, i don’t expect things to be rainbows and sunshine all the time. But scrolling through posts and randomly finding Antichristian media hurts. Scrolling through posts and randomly seeing people being killed hurts, seeing random antisemitism (on top of what I’m already seeing in my real actual life) hurts. Scrolling through posts and seeing political extremism that makes me worry about the state of my country, people, and faith is scary

Even going beyond the social negatives social media has been an idol for me in the past, and fully could become one again. I would rather “cut of the hand that sins” than live with it ever present and hurting me and my faith. Furthermore the constant presence of po*n on the Internet is not good for me, especially considering my past trauma and vices.

I have had people call me “dramatic, brainwashed” and many other things in the past for making statements like this about social media. But truly if you don’t see how much of a rage bait hive mind the internet is I highly encourage you to pay attention

It eats up our time with God, our time with ourselves and (in my opinion) deeply affects people’s ability to form their own independent opinions.

The hours we spend on our phones could be with:

Our family’s and pets (they frankly won’t be here forever. Sorry if that’s dark but my childhood dogs getting old and if I could go back and spend every moment of my childhood I spent on my phone playing with her *when she could still play* I would. And if I could go back and spend all the time I was on my phone with my other lost family I would)

Dreams (putting effort to school, or researching something your interested in learning)

Body’s (self care, exercise, cooking)

Im not saying the internet is some evil thing, there are good parts to it. But for me personally I think I’m choosing to unplug for a while. I want to get away from the constant rage bait and doomsday thinking and allow myself to breathe. I want to feel God in everything I do. I want to have those hours of my life back to grow and learn and enjoy life.

I’m not very comfortable with parasocial relationships/parasocial stuff sadly, we’re very much strangers and you don’t know me, and I certainly know very little to nothing about any of you. I’m glad you like my art! I’m always happy to see my art inspire other people and bring joy into other people’s lives, that’s amazing, but that…doesn’t mean we should be friends just because you like the select drawings and sketches that I’ve put on the internet. ESPECIALLY if you’re a minor, that’s a whole risky/dangerous ball park in itself !! I’m very uncomfortable with minors even DMing me, the relationship between fan and creator should be entirely professional at most.

There are a lot of influencers and brands out there that try to make their fans think they’re your friend, when really they’re not, and I really don’t want to be anything like that to you guys. It’s a kind of idolization and manipulation and a power dynamic that squicks me out in its entirety. There’s a lot of potential risk and danger in fan/creator relationships, and I do not want you guys to put me on a pedestal like that. Dont even consider me a “content creator,” or an idol. I love being an inspiration to people because I like the idea of bringing joy into others lives through my work, but that doesn’t mean I want you to put me on a pedestal and entrust me with your relationships and personal life. I’m not your friend, I’m not the best, I’m not even an expert at what I do, far from it. I’m just some random person who draws cats in their spare time, and you guys happen to like it, that’s all. I’m a real live person, with a name, a family, interests, flaws, mistakes, screw-ups, a personality you only see 10% of, friends, and most importantly I don’t know you. You don’t know me. No parasocial stuff please. Please stay safe out there and be careful of who and what you trust on the internet

I just want to say, and this is in no way in favor of either presidential candidate, that everyone needs to do their own research. This is in regards to celebrities telling their fans who they're voting for. Whoever a celebrity decides to vote for is their business, and I don't think they should be allowed to publicly say who they're voting for because their fans may vote for that person only because their favorite celebrity is voting for them. Everyone needs to make their own decision for whatever reason. Please don't vote for someone just because your favorite person is voting for them. That celebrity might have different values or priorities than you do. Please do your own research. This is not in favor of either presidential candidate. I hate that celebrities can sway their own audience into voting for who they want to win. Please don't let celebrities be your political voice. Celebrities are so far removed and disconnected from a normal person's reality, that we don't know why they're voting for whoever. You know what matters to you, you know what values you need to prioritize, please vote for yourself, not for a celebrity who wants you to vote for whichever person because that's who they like. Please don't make a celebrities political opinions your own.
