have so far staunchly avoided the topic of palestinian apartheid around my 70 year old liberal jewish father (who kibbutz-ed in israel in his young adulthood) and my 66 year old moderate-democrat christian mother but I'm going to visit them tonight and man I don't think I can avoid it forever!! wish me luck...

#the thing is they will agree with whatever msnbc has been saying #but I'm not sure what msnbc has been saying bc we dont get cable at my apartment #in the brief window i visited them earlier this week #at one point i saw a guest speaker talking to the host about the genocide of palestinians #but later that night when i turned to the news the host then was talking about terrorist attacks on israel #so im guessing msnbc is taking a 'both sides' approach??#which is. bad obviously but tbh better than i expected wrt where my parents will side on this #might have more hope of swaying them this way #idk #i mentioned smth vague to my dad yesterday and he responded #'yeah with thousands of people being killed every day'#and to my knowledge palestinians are the only ones being murdered by the thousands #so maybe #he cares about palestinian deaths??#idk. its a stretch

(yes I know siffrins cloak grows sleeves when its convenient but I wanna play around with this)

#also the cloak IS crafted to grow with him so I guess it being able to grow sleeves when he needs em might not be entirely untrue #tbh when I heard his cloak can grow with him my first thought was to have everyone gather under it and stretch it like a parachute lol #I think the one with like two folds stitched together to make impromptu sleeves makes more sense..#the holes are big enough to quickly fit your arms thru so its more suitable #the witch hat cloaks are designed so that witches can draw their spells without anybody seeing so its specifically to hide the users hands #siffrin doesnt necessarily need to hide his hands but he doesn’t like to be touched so I guess it just has to cover his body than hide it #idk anything about sewing or tailoring though so this is all my imagination. i dont actually know if this would work or not lol #my art #myart #doodles #I got thru a little bit more of the game and I’m coping. #last i checked the vanilla hdt clothes on the nexus didn't cover solstheim content #but i wanted to finally learn to do proper hdt bones myself anyway so its fine :)#this was a nightmarish mess before i separated the black underskirt to its own group #now it swishes around nicely and collides without going through the red outer skirt #i still haven't figured out the crouching/sneaking problem where it'll sometimes phase through the thighs like they don't exist #but that seems to happen to other people's outfits too so maybe it's not just mine? idk yet lol #hmmm i think that back flap thing with the gold trim is gonna have to be separated too. it stretches out weirdly :/#also. should the scarf get to move? maybe just the dangling ends?#bc the rest can't really move since there's nothing under the scarf. it's just glued at the edges to the chest of the outfit #which is good bc it's optimized well so the game isn't rendering the neck part of the robes that you don't even see #but I'd have to create new faces on the mesh to fill in the unseen gaps like i did when splitting the skirts up #and also i'm too lazy to map that new fancy chest area and draw out the missing texture with all the telvanni swirls :'(#help me motivation gods #modding stuff #my posts #i want nelly to be able to swish around prettily like anyone else <3 #guys deserve some physic'd outfit love too

MARAUDER LOCKDOWN

... Tbh he is more of a "vagrant" but that sounds too low for his reputation IMEAN--

I'm both excited and nervous to show at last a proper reference for my own interpretation of this character 💚 I think it's not a surprise anyway for the ones that know me and my love for him ksdjhfjdsfh

I wanted to do it too so I can work comfortably on my HCs that edge in very OOC territory from the canon (and even some fanon)... and because I admit I have been enjoying sharing short stories and RPs with people again ✨ and activity I missed a lot!

And of course, this interpretation got its own whole backstory that differs from the canon and follows my HCs and concepts around his species, but I'll talk about that in another post (or if someone is curious enough to ask for it coff).

For now! Have more initial sketches from when I was developing him (this is since... 2022 gosh).

First: a time ago I used him for an old (discontinued) post-apocalyptic AU with designs inspired by hunting-scavenging clothing. A friend said he looked like Robin Hood x'D

... I almost didn't change the way I sketch digitally. Anyways. To not let this rot, you can notice I used many design cues from this one!

Then during half of the past year, I did studies of his ROTF toy because I liked how that one kept the weird silhouette of the TFA but aligned to the IDW design too!

And from there I chipped away traits and straightened others until it felt right to me.

BONUS one of the first and fastest sketches I did for him during a conversation with @goobygnarp x'D Thanks to this I not only got the courage to finish the reference but to understand WHAT design cues I wanted to keep and didn't give me too of a headache.

i think the reason peolple don't like cheerleader cass is because it sort of feels like... the uwu fanon version of her that just cheers her brothers and steph on and is a therapy dog and is quiet, girly and cute and just.... isnt cass iykyk

I see where your coming from but also I have to disagree considering cheerleaders are historically very loud and I think theyre more associated with being mean girls then they are being cute quiet girls also there's definitely a difference between how cass is usually depicted as being a therapy dog to the bat boys compared to cheerleaders and their obligation to show up for sports ball matches
