But you? The calloused touch is tender and he's almost afraid he'll taint you. He could never.
Sighing, I'll be right back, considering buying a Prime Video account again for him because he sounds mmmmm.
Got me feeling shy and acting up in the morning Navyyyy, when will you STOP (I'm kidding, please don't ever stop with the Garrett crumbs 🗣🔊❤❤❤)
You and your husband have taste, thank you for awakening a new interest in me once again ✋🏼😔
Excuse me but… this man right here makes my thighs quiver. 🫶🏻🔥🥵🔥
LOOK AT THIS MAN. I remember my hubby wanting to watch Tulsa King and I saw him in the cast and agreed immediately.
But, yes, Mitch Keller...
With that deep rumble of a voice that would immediately make your knees buckle if he spoke to you. Maybe a flirty smirk when he sees exactly what his voice is doing to you. The filthy things he'd grunt in your ear whether he has you pinned town or taking you from behind and the praise he'd give you after he's done wrecking you.
The tattoo on his arm just begging for you to touch it. He tells you all about every mark on his body when the two of you are in bed together, his voice soft and low and you can't help but hang on every word. You don't even realize you're tracing one with your fingers until he gently smiles.
Hair made for pulling when he's between your thighs because tell me that man doesn't eat you like he hasn't eaten in days. Maybe the bar after closing time, pushing your legs apart so you're nice and open for him. And getting that goatee nice and wet just the way he likes because he loves the taste and smell of you.
Hands he isn't afraid to get dirty. He'll fight, scrap, do what he has to. But you? The calloused touch is tender and he's almost afraid he'll taint you. He could never.
UGH. I need him. PLEASE.
Love and thanks! ❤️

i wanna hear ur thoughts on the pony dying at the fountain au thing :)
THANK YOU FOR ASKINGGGG. this entire thing is delusional yap central and 95% johnny based so. im so sorry in advance btw.
well. first. so i think johnny wouldn't have had the instinct to run the way he did trying to protect pony and go to dally's — i cant really remember it tbh but i once saw an interpretation of johnny where he was like. his instincts and actions (stabbing paul without a second thought) were compared to that of almost a child (due to abusive parents and neglect etc etc) when put in the worst case scenario so he makes snap judgements without using his head, whereas pony thinks decisions through and mulls over shit maybe more than he should, which is why johnny just yanks him away and gets them to dally's place. i think johnny wouldn't have had that drive in him bc deep down he knowssss pony's gone, knows there's nobody that needs protecting, so he just. sits. at the fountain with pony in his lap. possibly for hours till the sun comes up, most likely in denial trying to convince himself pony isn't dead. doesn't know where to go or who to tell or what to do, esp bc this kid is already so heavily traumatized as is, he simply doesn't make the best decisions sometimes. just how it goes
then like. i assume someone finds them sitting there eventually, johnny can't even talk, whether it be the gang out looking bc they didn't show up last night or this morning or idk a stranger on a walk or literally idk. but. either way. the sheer difference in how pony's death were to be treated vs bob's?? there's no investigation done even though johnny says it was the socs, it wasn't a suicide, they got jumped and pony got killed. he lists them all by name, says exactly what happened, but there's never gonna be justice for pony bc nobody cares when it's a greaser who gets exploited or tortured or hurt or killed. (justice for tulsa scene where the cop shines a light on two-bit getting jumped and turns a blind eye....hmmm).
i thinkkk soda and darry would take johnny in. i won't harp on how torn up they'd obviously be — think soda's letter but about eight hundred times more nauseating ykwim. they just don't get along right without ponyboy. they lost their parents and they lost their kid brother and nearly johnny too — and nobody ever gets justice. so, it's darry who calls war & it's him who calls the rumble in pony's name. :)
johnny probably stays w them for a while but entirely collapses in on himself — literally rots from the inside out with guilt, bc he had a blade and he didn't use it. whether it be bc he chickened out or he was restrained too hard and wasn't strong enough or whatever the case, he takes on guilt heavyyyy for it. withdraws from the gang, from the curtises, saves up whatever little money he can and runs away to windrixville alone — bc hear me out. i think both him And pony def feel some type of way about bringing grief and sorrow and death wherever they go canonically in some type of way. esp him like..staying with pony's brothers now, probably sleeping in his old bedroom trying to keep pony's memory alive. idk idk. the guilt just goes CRAZYYY so. johnny runs away to an old church dally once suggested to him if he ever needed a place to go to run away — esp bc johnny literally canonically has considered running away before.
gang goes crazy over this obviously. search and search and it takes...who knows, days, weeks, to find him. he's got a bit of money stashed and he's not on the run from cops so he can go out to find food and whatever freely but he wants out, doesn't wanna be around the gang. dally shoots up in bed at like 3am realizing he knows exactly where tf johnny must be and collects them all in a car to drive out and find him. they get there and corner him like he's a lil scared animal shining flashlights in the dark and he pulls his blade on them all when they try to approach him up backed against the wall cause he dipped for a reason, damn it, and he doesn't want to be found. dally always runs away and finds success. the implications of johnny pulling a blade on the gang and on dally (out of fear) who gave him it in the first place?? esp when dally prefaced it by when you use this you have to do this with confidence, you have to really mean it, you can't back down when you pull a blade. idk the implications are There. that's literally where this whole thing came from LOL
that's. all i've got lol. thanks for tuning into this absolute monstrosity of a reply i'm so sorry LOL
#the outsiders#outsiders broadway#outsiders musical#ponyboy curtis#darry curtis#curtis brothers#sodapop curtis#johnny cade#outsiders#literally the way this isn't even everything i could've said too#the implications of a greaser getting killed vs a soc???#and the way soda and darry would be irreperably damaged?#like. Bye.#sorry if ppl disagree w any of this btw im just a Girl In the World having Fun its not that serious

My dad and I are planning to go to the Tulsa zoo for the first time in 20 years, what are your can't-miss zoo exhibits?
You're in for a treat, they've done a lot to make it a lot nicer than it was.
Right up front: You can rent wheelchairs or electric scooters now if you need one. It's $30 for a scooter which is more than I think it should be, but at least they're there. Bring some $1 and $5 bills and some quarters if you want to get souvenir coins or pressed pennies. Gift shop employees usually know where the machines are, there's multiple throughout the park but they move occasionally. (I collect these so I plan around them.)
The new elephant habitat just opened, a BADLY needed improvement, I was very uncomfortable with where their male was housed, he was showing stereotypic behavior. They knew it was an issue and instead of halfassing something they just made something totally new and apparently really amazing. I haven't been to see it yet, but we are going very soon. They're redoing a big part of that side to be a better savannah exhibit, actually, so the east side of the park is a bit sparse.
The rest under a cut. I love our zoo.
Definitely hit the Malayan tiger exhibit, which is close to the front and can be easily visited no matter what other parts of the park you want to see. The female just had babies and I think the daddy is still there too, so even if she isn't out, he might be. The tigers are very comfortable with people. Genuinely. They are often very close to the glass. I have seen them almost every time I have been. Also close to the entrance are the snow leopards, siamangs, and red pandas/binturongs. One siamang female had a baby early last year and they are both beautiful, I got to see the baby when she was VERY NEW. Such tiny hands! Perfect little thing!
The old old old string of four(?) connected buildings devoted to different habitats and stuff have undergone some light remodeling, but last I saw were still rather underwhelming and the exteriors are pretty decrepit now. They were blocked off last time I was there for some repairs and renovations so IDK what they have done or if they are open yet. Ask at the front if you intend to go through but I wouldn't necessarily plan on it unless it's significantly nostalgic for you. The Arctic building is open AFAIK and the zoo's brown bear is out front for the time being, and you don't have to go inside to see the outside of the enclosure. She REALLY likes hanging out near the window and scaring children by opening her mouth suddenly so you might see her.
Hit the Amazon rainforest. It's really nice, and the old lady jaguar auntie besties/girlfriends are there. Chel has been there since she was a baby and I had a really cool interaction with her when she was young so I feel personally attached. Not sure if you ever were there, but they have done a little work on it inside and it's even nicer than it was. There's a part with dart poison frogs! Just hopping around in the open!
The reptile and avian building way in back needs expanding, I think they are redoing it soon? Don't wear yourself out going there. There is however a quiet indoor area right near there for families with autistic kids who need a break and I think also nursing parents?
We are freshly down to one lion who I think is elderly and doesn't come out much, and that whole run of exhibits that used to have bear, lion, tiger, and snow leopard is sort of abandoned right now as they have plans to redo it all, so don't go that way. There are some animals there, I think a bear and one other critter? But it isn't the best use of time.
On the east or southeast, the meerkats are lively and curious and actively seem to enjoy coming over to look at humans. Penguin exhibit is good, and the sea lions. I have never seen the African painted dogs, their area has a lot of cover.
If you have limited time or just tire easily, USE THE TRAIN. Rides are not too expensive. Either take the train to the very back and walk out, or walk to the back and take the train out. Riding TO the back takes you east, it's a pretty ride past a lot of stuff you might want to skip on foot, riding FROM the back takes you west, past a lot of stuff worth seeing, so I recommend going from back to front. It's less tiring anyway. Once you're tired you're already headed out.
Museum gift shop staff are predominantly queer and in my experience they know a lot about what is going on in the zoo in general and probably that day. They might have local zoo honey available right now. Ask, and if they do, get some, it's incredible. The flowers there are abundant and lovely and the honey is incredibly flavorful in a layered way that single-crop honey isn't.
If you see a docent in a building, please talk to them. They LOVE their job and AFAIK are still all volunteers. They have their speeches they give to groups, yes, but if you catch them alone they have even more interesting stuff to share that isn't calibrated for people new to the basics and is more entertaining. The elderly white lady often near the tigers and Komodo dragons is just great. She loves those lizards so much.
If you are on SNAP, you get in I think free, and with a guest.
I have to say and want to acknowledge that the Tulsa Zoo used to be terrible. Jane Goodall shit-talked it, okay? Like, I won't repeat what she said because I don't think it was on record and if it wasn't intended for the public I don't want to put it out there, but it was savage, and painfully accurate. (My ex and I did some docent training there, until I had to drop out because I caught a cold. The Goodall story was relayed by the head primate zookeeper.)
But because they have been CONSTANTLY devising new exhibits and finishing very cool improvements I am comfortable supporting them even though parts of it do still need work.
There's a couple of very wealthy donors and organizations that contribute IMMENSELY to the zoo and to our museums and parks and libraries, and most of the big renovations were done with those grants. Those donors aren't going anywhere, they are genuinely behind the things they support, so it will just continue to get better, and patronage helps show donors and investors and the zoo itself that the work they have done is appreciated. The Tulsa Zoo's rejuvenation is a real success story and I am very proud of them.
It used to be so bad but now they have stuff like the Lost Kingdom with the tiger skybridge and the Komodo dragons and the beautiful architecture and landscaping, and you can see what they're consistently moving towards. More room, and more room back where you can't SEE it so the animals can chill away from people (if one of the newer enclosures look small, there is probably a lot of room in back). The bigger animals are never forced to be close to people. (For reptiles and other smaller critters this is not universal, but they are working on it.)
Anyway yeah it's not that big or flashy I guess but it's ours and I do love it and it keeps getting better.
I hope you have a great time! Let me know!

i love your matt dillon-se hinton-verse au where dally is tex and mark’s half-brother but i was wondering is rusty-james also a part of this au? (since he’s also played by matt)
Good point. Honestly, I haven’t thought much about that- which is weird cos I really like Rusty-James honestly. Idk, for some reason to me, Rumble Fish feels like a whole other world compared to the one of Tex, TWTTIN, and the Outsiders. I blame the movie for that, since it’s so art house and surreal.
If Rusty-James is in this AU, then he’s the same age as Tex. If they ever meet, it’s at Buck’s place- Tex is there ‘cos that’s where Dally lives, and Rusty-James is there to try and fail at hustling pool. They’re both impulsive rule-ignore-ers with a penchant for chaos- so they get along great.
Meanwhile, Mason hates the Motorcycle Boy’s guts. He’s never met the guy, but he hears what Tex’s weird little hood friend says about how tough the Motorcycle Boy is- and Mason thinks he’s a bad influence on Rusty-James. Who, in turn, is a bad influence on Tex. This hatred is one sided, as the Motorcycle Boy isn’t aware of Mason’s existence.
Idk if anyone ever finds out that Rusty-James is another half-brother. Maybe Dally has a passing suspicion, but he doesn’t think hard about it. Rusty-James has a dad. Dally’s not gonna bother pursuing it. His dad was a whore- if Dally adopted every half sibling he has out there, he’d have enough kids around to start his own gang bigger than any of the gangs in Tulsa.
TL;DR- Rusty-James and Tex briefly are friends, for like a summer maybe. Rusty-James probably doesn’t even remember Tex by the end of Rumble Fish. Tex remembers tho, and sometimes wonders about that kid who looked and acted so much like himself that he hung around with when he was twelve…
If they ever meet again, Tex won’t see any resemblance to himself anymore, and Rusty-James won’t recognize Tex at all. Sorta a bummer, but hey, Rumble Fish is sorta a bummer too (love it tho)
Slightly unrelated random hc- At this time (like 2 years pre-Rumble Fish canon) The Motorcycle Boy is really into local author P.M. Curtis’s book “The Outsiders” and relates a lot to the character “Dean Marlboro” who totally isn’t Dallas Winston, killed off for dramatic effect. He has no idea that his kid brother is hanging around with his hero’s kid brother.

Melvin and Sergei headcanons for @this-hopeless-war and @walmartbrandwhatever
-so as we know Melvin is Trips little (step) brother
-Melvin spent a lot of his childhood trying to hang around trip and be like trip
-trip just thought he was annoying
-this all leads to Melvin always trying to act super cool, and older than he is
-most guys his age just think he’s really weird tbh
-but then in middle school Sergei moves to Tulsa from Ukraine
-he doesn’t know much English so Melvin kinda takes Sergei under his wing
-Sergei is Melvin’s first real friend 😭😭
-Sergei doesn’t know what’s happening half the time tbh
-however he does think that Melvin is super cool and smart and nice
-mostly because Sergei has no thoughts in his head (confirmed by Sarahgrace)
-Melvin also flirts with girls 24/7
-rip Melvin u would have loved saying “where’s my hug at” 😔
-modern au Melvin makes an absurd amount of thirst traps it’s disgusting
-them showing up to the rumble is so funny to me cuz at the time they’re both 14, a lot younger than everyone else there other than ponyboy
-basically Melvin hears that there’s a rumble from trip and tells Sergei who’s like “idk what that is!”
-but Melvin is like “idc we have to go” cuz he wants to seem tough and cool
-so they show up and trip is like “the hell you doing here? 🤨” but they won’t leave so he’s like “ok whatever”
-Steve and Sergei fighting in the rumble is hilarious cuz Steve you could fight anyone and you go for the kid??
-but also everyone else fighting has beef so ig he had no one left to fight but Sergei
-we all know that Melvin has a huge crush on ace so of course that’s why they fight 🙄
-Melvin wore his favorite khakis to the rumble thinking “oh yeah ace is gonna think I look so hot in these 🥵” he’s so dumb I can’t-
-melvin and Sergei are such parters in crime tho- like they are each others best friend in everything they do and they will support each other no matter what (even if they, especially Melvin, will never really admit it)
-Sergei gives Melvin a hug one time and Melvin’s all like “what is this platonic affection… I love it….”
-he definitely opens up to Sergei about shit but he tries to play it super cool
-it’s giving that scene in grotpl when the t-birds are talking about their emotions and crying but pretending it’s just allergies or something
-like that’s sooo Melvin coded
-also Sergei definitely tries to emulate Melvin a lot of the time cuz he thinks he’s cool
-Melvin also lies about his height all the time
-he’s like “yeah man I’m 6’4” when in reality he’s like 5’4 and everyone knows it 😭
-sometimes he’ll be bragging about his height and Sergei will be like “but that’s not ur actual height….” Cuz he’s confused and Melvin gets so mad
-thing is Sergei is even shorter than Melvin so he think that 5’4 is tall and doesn’t get why Melvin would want to be any taller 😭
-the height headcanons are all inspired by @songbirdofthestreets thank youuuu
-anyways they’re both so dumb and that’s why I love them 💛

More unsolicited thoughts on The Outsiders a New Musical.
Tw: mention of suicide in some of the last paragraphs. If you've read the book/watched the movie, ya know.
Contains spoilers for all forms of The Outsiders (book, movie, and musical). All spoilers are below the cut.
I figured out why some of the songs in the new Outsiders musical didn't make as much sense.
They changed several plot points!!!
Most aren't egregious and I'm cool with them, but there are a couple they got me some kinda way.
(This is based if the plot synopsis on Wikipedia. It could be wrong but it's all I've got cause im a broke pleb).
In Chronological Order:
Obviously there is no Steve. Personally don't care either way. Like him and Soda's platonic relationship, particilarly what we see in the movie, but otherwise I understand why it was easier to cut his role.
Johnny only got jumped a week before the musical (but then Justice for Tulsa sounds weird because Cherry suggests Johhny killed because of how Bob treated him and she implies that he was hurt a while ago...? IDK man. Not to big a gripe but it's just weird).
Grease got a Hold is essentially a ritual initiation because Ponyboy survived getting jumped (they skip his getting saved by the gang by having Pony get knocked out) so him surviving makes him a Greaser? I don't understand and frankly I would've preferred slightly less deviation from the source material here but again, I don't mind this change, it's all down to preference.
I almost don't like how much of a main character Darry has become? Like I like him in the adaptation, but I feel like his upgrade came at the cost of the downgrade of Soda and Two-Bit. I love both those characters and from what I've read/heard they both had there roles reduced, Soda it seems almost severely. But typical middle child shit I guess. Again, he could have a lot of speaking bits because I'm going off a couple synonpses and the cast album, but man I miss him. And Two Bit. I hope that they at least had him and Pony together going to visit Johnny. That's one of my favorite parts of the book and movie.
They add a scene between Johnny and Dally where Dally sees Johnny outside his house. I'm out of order here bit it's the night before the Drive In. Johnny says he's afraid to leave because his dad could kill his mom? Interesting take on that relationship but okay. I do love this scene personally.
I don't know if we get the Two Bit and Marcia fling. It didn't get mentioned in the plot synopsis so I won't comment further.
The addition of Ponyboy going unconcscious during the first fight means I get a two nickles meme about Ponyboy blacking out during fights in this musical.
There's no Randy?!?!? @annacatbeth13 said he got cut for the Broadway run and I'm sorry. He is a hella good character and even though his movie role is reduced, he's so good. I kinda feel like the musical suffers by having only Cherry as the oposition to Soc POV when you've got minimum of Pony and Johnny verbally against the Greaser POV and Darry is very much contrary in action during the book/movie and verbally here.
B/c there's no Randy a lot of Bob and Randy scenes are just Bob and Soc scenes.
I'm sorry, the fact that the guy who plays Bob plays the cop that investigates Bob's murder is sending me. MF rolls up like "yeah, I didn't just die here. This is fine" and everyone rolls with it. It's show business, I understand, but I feel like if I saw this show in person I'd notice and I'd lose it.
Also, I'm gonna note here that Brent Comer played Paul in La Jolla and now plays Darry. Ironic. Speaking of Paul and Darry as much as I don't like them removing Randy using Paul to fill his role as Bob's friend works quiet well. However, isn't Paul 20? And wasn't Bob like 17 or 18? I have questions that I'm not sure I can answer so I'm just gonna assume they were friends in high school and Paul stayed local for college.
I also don't know if they end up going to the Dairy Queen? Like the synopsis says that Dally comes up to see them and that it's Pony's discarded cigarette that starts the fire... but then the kids show up out of nowhere so where the hell did they come from? This entire incident is assumedly spoken so all I've got's the synopsis.
I was told again by @annacatbeth13 that Randy sang Hopeless War with Cherry and Pony and dammit, they took out that entire thing and that is such a catalyst for Ponyboy seeing the world in shades of gray like Cherry mentions in Hopeless War and I'm... I'm sorry. It just feels kinda wrong. I understand why they had to cut him but dammit it doesn't mean I'm not sad.
Everything in the hospital feels rushed. It does seem like they cut the Two-Bit taking Pony to the hospital bit (which makes sense, still sort of makes me mad). It also sounds like they upped Johnny's charge to first degree murder!! Like that doesn't make sense to me. He didn't premeditate shit. I honestly don't even think you could get second degree murder to stick. They then just mention and drop the charges in like the same song? Or in pretty rapid succession because it seems like the cut the juvenile court and Darry having to be checked on by the state storylines. Again, I understand having to strip a musical down to be a bit more barebones because of time contsraints but, like, if Fiddler can have four different plot lines within the same family, you can have the main issue, the sibling fight, and the Pony/Cherry/Randy bit. It's only three plotlines. I don't know why this makes me so mad but it does and IDK why?
I love Trouble. I love Darry in that song. And Dally. But also... Pony in the book and movie has been in multiple rumbles. It is mentioned in greater detail in the book and I don't know how I feel about them making Ponyboy so innocent. Like. He was never innocent, in the book and the movie. Everyone just thought he was? Again, simplifying for time constraints but I do miss it.
I like what they did with Paul. He's always felt very flat, more of a mirror to reflect Darry against same as Steve reflected Soda and Cherry/Randy/Johnny reflected Pony. But I do like the sort of righteous indignation they gave this version of Paul. It gives him that little bit of motivation to convince me that he should be at the rumble, despite being 20. Because in the book we get told that Darry is there specifically as the leader of Pony's "gang" but we don't get told why Paul is there so it feels odd. The musical does rectify that, which I kind of like.
However, I have to say I love Dally and Johnny's relationship in this musical. Just based on what I've seen they made it the most clear and concise interpretation of all versions of this story. Both songs where Dally talks to Johnny he refers to him as little brother, which cements that relationship and helps us understand why he eventually snaps. Which I will be talking about but I cannot give enough praise for their relationship.
I also cannot give enough praise for Cherry. I don't know exactly what they did, and they really ramped up Cherry's invovlement because she had to take some of Randy's place but they did such a good job with her. I like how they put her in the middle of all the conflicts (mostly with the Justice for Tulsa number) and I think seeing how she reacts really cemented this version as my favorite. I think they manage to get across that she actually does care about Johnny and Pony as people. All the other versions she comes off as pitying them which I don't like because it feels fake. And I understand why Pony doesn't like her. I kind of like that her relationship with him extends to her giving him Johnny's clothes because she starts volunteering at the hospital. I think that also helps humanize her too.
Alright, this is the most egrious change, in my humble opinion. They change how Dally dies. I think that him commiting suicide is necessary to the story, but in the musical he JUMPS IN FRONT OF A TRAIN!! You could argue that this is because a train killed the Curtis Parents (as seen in the complete novel edition of the movie) and you could argue that it's a symbol of death or of constancy for the Curtis' as they lose people to trains (technically Pony and Johnny are taken away to Windrixville via train). However... I think it still would've made more sense to stick to Dally dying via suicide by cop. It seems like they cut the Dairy Queen scene and if they did they probably cut Dally carrying a heater, which then makes the suicide by cop not work so they have him jump in front of a train... but that still feels out of character to me. I could be wrong, but when Pony talks about how Dally would go, he says Dally would die young and violent and angry. Him jumping in front of a train doesn't tell me he was angry. It tells me he was depressed. While you still get desperation, it's sad desperation. Not the angry desperation that you get with him doing the suicide by cop.
It would not surprise me in the slightest if they choose not to use Dally's original death because of the police discourse in the media. I want to say now that I have several cops/ex-cops in my family and from what they have told me, if someone pulled a stunt like what Dally did in the movie/book, they would be forced to shoot. It becomes a kill or be killed situation because they don't know if the gun is loaded. Now, the offending officer would be tried later on for manslaughter or related crimes but probably acquitted because they couldn't have known (in the movie it's debatable because the gang yells that the gun isn't loaded, but the police still probably wouldn't have listened). I think that the writers probably wanted to avoid having that controversy drum up. I can't blame them, still pisses me off.
All that being said, I do like this adaptation. But of the three versions of this piece of media, it's my least favorite. Love all the songs, love what characters we do have, and this is by far my favorite Cherry and my favorite portrayal of Johnny and Dally's relationship, but I don't like what they did to Dally in the end. No hard feelings against anyone who likes this or the creatives behind it, but it's just not my favorite and I don't know how faithful I would consider this adaptation.

y’all ever think what would happen after steve graduated?
i feel like steve actually has a good chance of getting out of tulsa-he’s canonically smart and quick on his feet, but imagine soda, who wants what’s best for his friend, but also despises the fact that steve very well might go to college and leave him at the dx alone. idk, i think about it sometimes

Oh my god that little thing you said about burning the witch is CRAZY like imagine the socs find iut abt paul being related to the witch who cursed tulsa and decide to pull a salem witch trials on him like THAT WOULD BE CRAZYYYYYY
Like paul’s like “great normal jumping” but they like tie him up take him to a secluded area and are about to BURN THIS MFER this would not happen but i hyperfixated on the salem witch trials at one point in middle school and that one off thing made me go INSANE
- paul anon <3 (ps for this lil thing two would def be the one to find him bc hes just flying around like normal and sees a fire and is like “ooh shiny” gets closer and just sees paul on a fuckin STAKE and hes like ?:!?:!:?):?:! Idk why thats so funny to me )
Oooho Paul anon, baby girl, you are unprepared for what we discussed behind the scenes.
It's good to mention that in this hypothetical (we haven't decided if it's going to actually happen yet) they don't actually KNOW he's related to the witch who cursed Tulsa. They just run under the assumption that he's one as a whole because; well, he's one of the only cursed who are fully human while still channeling magic (most humanoids have something about them that makes them seem unnatural.) Bob dies at the tire in the musical AND in this AU, so that's where Paul visits to pay his respects (because even despite his new alliance with the greasers, he was pretty torn up over Bob's death, He'd practically been family to him. Two dumbasses with parents who don’t care.) Some of the socs aren't very pleased by his appearance there again.
I don't have the art on me right now,, buuuuuut. I did explore this a little further, so. You'll see that later down the line!

Finale (Tulsa 67') Rant
Preface this by saying I have never seen the show irl:
I actually cannot listen to this song because when I do I completely lose it for the rest of the day and I have thoughts so they're going here.
This song is insanely awesome with all the lyrics oh my god and QUOTES FROM THE BOOK ABJSNOWNWOFNEKKQOSJFKFKSK
"I used to glorify how Cool Hand Luke was free He wasn′t tied to anything" there are so many references to Cool Hand Luke throughout the show this needs its own post if i'm gonna fit in all my thoughts/pos
"Can you imagine how proud mom and dad would be" OH MY GOD TEHSJENDKWNKSNDKDNWKJSJDGWJWKWLSK -I think about this all the time even before I ever heard this song. Like actually imagine if Mrs and Mr Curtis could see their kids, not just how much they went through during the main story but how much they did for each other and what perseverant kids they raised (I missed instructions in science class a couple days ago cause I was thinking too hard about this/srs)
"I could picture hundreds and hundreds of boys Living on the wrong side of cities Boys with black eyes Who jumped at their own shadows Hundreds of boys who maybe watched sunsets And looked at stars And ached for somethin′ better" i'm on eep meds rn and literally cannot verbalized all the thoughts I have about this but I can say I genuinely got goosebumps reading it
"Always on the outside looking in, bruises on their eyes wearing grease for their disguise" to be honest i've always misheard this as "roses on their eyes" until I read the lyrics just now and like OH MY GOD???!!! Idk why but this line always hits me like a cement truck/pos
"I wondered for a long time how to start writing about something that was important to me And I finally began like this" AS A PERSON WHOS READ THE BOOK AN INSANE AMOUNT OF TIMES AND LOVES THE OUTSIDERS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE (except, like, my friends lol) I GOTTA SAY THAT THE BOOK QUOTES ABSOLUTELY KILL ME AND RESURRECT MY EXISTENCE AT THE SAME TIME HOLY SHIT
"For the hopeless boy with the reckless grin For the down-and-outs who can never win On the outside lookin′ in Looking down, Johnny Cade will smile again He was just too damn good for growin' old And in his memory I′ll stay gold Stay gold" I don't even have the words but I think my fellow outsiders-obsessed-neurodivergents get it
like "FOR THE HOPELESS BOY WITH THE RECKLESS GRIN" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!!??!??/POSPOSPOS
"AND IN HIS MEMORY ILL STAY GOLD"
this song is one of the most awesome songs ever created
i should not be allowed to see this show ever because I will straight up be convulsing/hj

You ever think about the person who was running the train in the musical at the end when Dally does his thing? I do.
I feel like they used to run it all the time, and now they never run that specific rail again.
not once until u said that, now we have background east sider #1 to consider :( damn no one is safe from the butterfly effect fr😭
idk what train exactly was running thru tulsa at that time, cargo or freight or passenger or what, but i feel like the rail itself is probably a very important one that they can’t just stop running. i do think tho that they would be forced to halt any kind of proceedings on that rail for some time because of dally’s decision.
i so badly want to say that some kind of memorial went up for dally near the place on the tracks it happened from the gang, but i doubt it :( even if they did, people would probably take it down, so it would be better/more respectful to just mark dally and johnny in graves and officially lay them to rest

IWTV S2 Ep7 Musings - Sam Reid's Autumn Brown Interview & White Privilege
(Omg I don't watch Autumn Brown, so I had no idea Sam said all this until the transcript excerpts were posted here. 🤦Usually I love what Sam has to say, but this ain't it, chief.)
The problem with this whole take of Sam's is that Lestat is NOT the one on Trial--LOUIS is. The implications of spinning Come To Me makes Louis look MORE guilty, so that LOU'S DEATH IS JUSTIFIED & DESERVED. IDK if Sam is being deliberately obtuse here (seeing the situation with rose colored blinders to just look at Loustat's tragic love; Lestat's romanticism & hurt feelings cuz that's his character & his focus); or if he's deliberately skirting around a much more important & sensitive issue that, as a white man, he may or may not be aware that he's unequipped to handle--esp. since we know AMC put the lid on interviewers talking with the actors about RACE; and esp. since Jacob speaks very candidly about Louis' blackness when he's asked stupid questions.
Cuz the optics of a white person lying that a black man on trial had raped/molested/SA'd them are way too effing obvious--at least for Bipoc audiences--for Sam to boil it down to "a horrifically mean trick for Lestat to come out and say;" and then gloss it over with Lestat stupidly WANTING Louis to AGREE with the lie that makes him look like a sexual predator; and come away with "it’s very shocking for Lestat in that moment to be smacked in the face with ‘I didn’t want you. I always hated you."
Sure, EVERYONE understands & is in agreement about Loustat's "mutual yearning." But their mutual yearning has no bearings whatsoever on the proceedings happening on that stage. Lestat & Louis certainly AREN'T being mutually sentenced for vampiric crimes, and on pain on DEATH. This Trial is not about proving Louis' romantic/unrequited UST, it's about proving that he's guilty of breaking the Great Laws & proving that Lestat's life/wellbeing was in mortal danger from Louis--not just during Mardi Gras, but the entire time!
Lestat LITERALLY said "Louis ACCOSTED me."
The "pleasure house's" location (at the FairPlay) strengthens the implications of being "accosted" with being sexually harassed--esp. since Les & Santiago first start off with Louis' history as a "troubled, disreputable, cold, violent" pimp. Les said that everywhere he went, he was "being HUNTED" by Louis--like prey to a predator.
So if getting mad at Lou for being angry & hurt is all Lest takes away from Lou's reaction against having Come to Me weaponized to make Lou look like a rapist--then by god Les truly had no business being in an interracial relationship & raising a Black child. 😒
Les is so seated in his white privilege (and too busy screwing his white wench Antoinette down in Algiers) that he somehow missed the entire 1921 Tulsa Massacre, and the 1923 Rosewood Massacre, and the 1931-32 Scottsboro Boys case; to not read a effing newspaper or hear about all these Black men being lynched for raping white girls (who LIED on them) during Jim Crow!
Like, we talk about Tulsa & Rosewood wrt the Storyville race riot in 1x3, but I've yet to see anybody talk about how both of those massacres were started cuz white folk wanted to lynch innocent Black men accused of raping white people who lied on them & gaslit the whole country into believing them just cuz white = honest/innocent/good and black = liar/guilty/evil.
How DARE a Black man on Trial by a bloodthirsty predominately white lynch mob be furious that he's being lied on by a charismatic AF white man brought in to testify AGAINST him--
--who's explicitly presented as "THE VICTIM;" the first & ONLY witness whose words were to be trusted (Claudia's diary/words were only used to CONDEMN them, entirely removed from their context as a CHILD who felt unwanted & unloved by the father she was constantly trying to GET AWAY FROM, but who forcibly brought her BACK)--while Lou's context is stripped from him as the spouse who only killed Les for the sake of his DAUGHTER'S freedom. Lou never wanted to leave Les & NOLA; and he freaked TF out after he slit Les' throat & chokeslammed Claudia for tryna burn him--Claudia's diaries even exonerate Lou, PISSED at him for NOT wanting Les dead & for being "dead weight" thirsting after Les the whole time they were in Romania, 5 years later! All Lou wanted was to COME TO LES. Lou swam the nasty AF Mississippi River cuz LES WROTE A EFFING SONG NAMED COME TO ME that Lou STILL has the recording of IN HIS VOICE.
For a closeted gay Black man desperate to keep up appearances & be respected in society, Louis sacrificed EVERYTHING to be with Lestat--his loyalty to Paul (ie: God: x x) and his self respect/dignity/reputation most crucially, only to have that sacrifice (ie: love) ripped to shreds & sullied during the Trial--LESTAT BETRAYED LOUIS, not the other way around, WTF. Esp. cuz YES, Louis DID want Les to come to him the whole time. Even at the TRIAL, Jacob said all Louis was happy to see Les again.
Until Les opened his effing mouth & started spewing BS!
Lou LOVES Les, and trusted & confided in him as a gay closeted man tryna AVOID Les (esp. after being spooked by his gay crisis spooked him when they slept together)--only to be SPAT ON when Les tells all of Paris that he's nothing but a pervert who accosted/hunted/lusted after a man/vampire who made it seem that 1) LES didn't want LOU, and 2) that Les's safety/wellbeing was in danger--when HE'S the gay VAMPIRE wearing Oscar Wilde's chrysanthemum to dinner & baiting/luring Louis to HIS house with Lily waiting on the balcony in her effing underwear!
Remember: Lestat did this whole Come to Me spiel for the audience BEFORE his whole Gay Pride speech. The soldier yelled the F-slur after Les finished their Church Vows; and the whole crowd LAUGHED. This was NOT an audience who thought POSITIVELY about two guys being in a relationship--
--"the love that DARE NOT speak its name," even in gay mecca 1940s Paris (at the time the age of consent was 15 for straight couples but 21 for gay ones), where guys had to meet under the cover of night; hidden in the shadows even while in a public park/in plain sight--just like the vampires themselves.
The audience DGAF about Lestat's romanticism & Loustat's tragic gothic romance. They care about sexual deviancy--despite charismatic AF Santiago having said the very first night that the whole premise of the Theatre was to flip social mores upside-down--the bloodthirsty audience still wasn't effing buying gay sex! 💀
So not only is Les petitioning to a group of homophobes to see him as a victim, but he's are also throwing Louis, as a Black man, under the bus to a predominately white crowd as the villain--
--and yet people get mad at Louis for badmouthing Les in 1973 SanFran, and (LESS-SO) in Dubai??? When NEITHER time was Les being sentenced to death--but the vampires are still tryna kill LOUIS, even though it's DANIEL'S book and HE'S the vampire on national TV!
Again: LOUIS gets punished while these white men walk scott free. Louis gets dropped from the effing stratosphere with ALL his bones broken but his pain is dismissed as "a hard fall, nothing more;" while Louis put Les in the dump with a bunch of rats so Les could heal & NOT be burned alive, saving Les' effing life when Claudia would've GRILLED his arse, and yet Louis' found guilty!?
And again: Louis was actively being gaslit on stage, his brain LITERALLY being scrambled under the Mind Gift of the coven, while Claudia's literally over his right shoulder saying one thing, while Lestat's the devil on the left saying the total opposite. He's conscious, but he's barely more cognizant than Madeleine! But HE'S the liar?!
And again: Lestat's pain & hurt feelings gets centered, when it's LOUIS' ankles that are slashed to the bone so he can't walk or escape the lynchers ready to stone him & his daughter(s); HIS mind fogged whenever he tries to speak up & defend himself--with no one to help him but the very same dude lying his arse off to assassinate Louis' character and twist their story to excuse why he cheated (acting like he never said he wanted "VARIETY" way back in 1x3) & why Louis deserves to have lynchers in the crowd yelling "Shame on you!" as if there weren't TWO parties in this MUTUAL yearning.
I can't.
But again: Imma throw Sam a bone, cuz we know AMC's been weird about interviewers sidestepping actual substantial convos about race--and AFAIK Sam's never really said anything about Louis' blackness & how Lestat responds/dismisses it anyway, so. 🙄😒 Maybe it's for the best that Sam stays in his white lane--but it's still racially tone deaf AF that Loustat's race & contemporaneous IRL events that directly match the show aren't even up for frikkin discussion.

ik u posted ab this like a million and one years ago but ur pb&j runaway au literally haunts me. like literally stare up at my ceiling at night thinking about how fcking upset soda and darry would be haunts me. so i must know how do u think that went down 😣 like who brought up running away who actually brought it up as a Serious Thing They Could Do was it impulsive or heavily premeditated did they have a very solid plan HOW DO THE GANG REACT TO ITTTT omg this au haunts me SO BAD u have no idea 🤦♀️🤦♀️ in my head i envisioned it as like they have a plan and a set day but then darry does smth that Really pisses pony off and he’s like “johnny 😐😐 idc we were meant to go in two weeks we’re going NOW i fcking #hate my brother” SO I NEED TO KNOW HOW U ENVISIONED IT i’m dying dead no matter what btw i love ur mind about the outsiders
stop bc i thought i elaborated more on that but when i scrolled down my account i literally made one half assed post and that IT oh that is so insane. i literally think about them on the daily though it’s not even funnyyyy so this ask made me so happy 🙇🙇 (just so you know these are basically all just messages of mine copy pasted from chats with @girlishwhimsies bc i’m too lazy to write it all out in diff words and bc the lore for this au still EATSSSS but id be SOOO happy to elaborate more on anything :D)
- i’m imagining some universe where like. the slap and everything never happens but that also means pony never really has a reason to bond with darrel so it just stays tense and weird for years and eventually he’s like. 16/17 and johnnys 18/19 and everything’s just gotten worse and both of them are so tired of their lives here. pony sees some obscure movie at the theatre and/or reads a new age book that’s set in new york about queerness in some way (idk what movie and/or book. will have to research) a la i’ve seen it in the movies and in the books i’ve read, this place is real, it’s not just in my head btw. and pony brings this to johnny and excitedly tells him this plan he has to just. up and run away to new york. he can drop out and change his name and get new ids (it was the 60s tbf) and say he’s a year or two older and he’ll get a job too with johnny. that they don’t have to just dream about being far away from tulsa, so to speak, they can just. do it. the only thing stopping them is themselves and their fears
-pony going to the library and stealing maps and checking out like 10 books about travelling and saving money and about new york and. maybe one or two he hides about queerness
-them asking dally what new york is like and dally getting all pissed but not thinking much of it. then suddenly they’re vanished with all their belongings overnight and dally knows Exactly where they’d have gone. the gang has to follow them but they never catch up
-dally shooting up in bed one night like a week later at like 3am rushing over to the brothers house all i know where they are. they asked me about. about new york the other day. oh my fucking god and darrel’s all just??? new y— NEW YORK?? what the hell did you SAY TO THEM??
-frankly i think they’d wanna go and look after them but they’re poor and darry has a job so. they just put out missing persons requests and have no choice but to call it a day. darry feels guilty but they were never that close but. but soda??? soda knowing pony ran away from him??
-i think pony would leave some cryptic message in a copy of gone with the wind (ironic) addressed to soda in the cover before he leaves but soda literally doesn’t read so he probably doesn’t find it it for ages. something about how you were the only thing keeping me alive in tulsa but i gotta go be my own person now, get away from all of this shit
-darry turns what remains of pony’s room upside down inside out looking for anything but. there’s absolutely nothing left for him
-pony sends a letter back to soda a couple months later all were safe and sound in new york and we really miss you, sodapop, every day. tell dally new york ain’t as bad as he thought…he oughta give it another shot someday. maybe you too, soda. tulsa ain’t home to people like us, soda, you’ve gotta understand why we had to leave
-he sends his first letter without a return address yet bc he’s not ready for soda to know where he is but the next one!!!
-by then it’s been like six months and pony’s hair is bleach blond (smiles) and he looks healthy for maybe the first time really ever. pony sheepishly coming out from behind his friend in some goofy totally-not-pony outfit (bc he’s fallen in loveeee with fashion. btw.) and soda hugs him so fucking tight he swears he stops breathing for a minute
-you know…darry’s been real choked up since you left. you know he…he gets it, right? he’s like you. n’he’s real torn up you left when he couldn’t, honey.
-maybe you…could bring him here, too. there’s family here for him if..he wants it. he’s just gotta get brave like i did.

now after making that post, i wanna make my version of “what would’ve happened if johnny and dallas didn’t die?”
for dallas, he didn’t turn his life around whatsoever, and i think there’s a few possibilities for him, cause who really knows
he kept messing around and eventually got himself killed (car crash, death by police (tho not suicidal), drug and alcohol abuse, etc
straight up suicide
he knocked a girl up and her parents forced them to get married, and he fucking hates his life and his kid. idk if he’d abuse his kid? he just wouldn’t really care about the kid or his wife at all
he knocked up a girl, but he’s out of tulsa so fast it’s insane. straight to another city and he ghosts everyone
for johnny, i think theres soo many more outcomes
i think he could’ve gotten married and had a kid or two, and he really does love his family, but he’s super scared of ending up like his dad. due to that, he’s very distant from his kids, and they grow to dislike him because they think he doesn’t care about them
assuming he goes down that route again, lets say dallas kills himself or something else gets to him. now we have johnny, in a situation where he wouldnt kill himself, but he’d really want to. he basically becomes an empty shell of a person, because he doesn’t want to abandon his wife and kids like that
if dallas dies before he had a family, he’d probably just kill himself
or johnny would’ve just killed himself shortly after the whole incident, and dallas would’ve killed himself too
no happy endings for either of them, even if they are some of my favorite characters ever. but who really knows?

The Outsiders // Pro Ice Skating AU ⛸️❄️
- Ponyboy and Curtis brothers centric (for now)
- If you have any idea how any more characters of The Outsiders would behave or react to this AU please let me know.
- So first, Ponyboy is all about ice skating, like how he's into sunsets, books, and movies. It's his thing, even though the gang doesn't really get it. His mom, though, she's his biggest support, staying up late sewing his outfits and taking him to practice and tournaments all the time.
- But then, when his parents pass away, he takes a break from skating. One day, Darry finds him and says like, "I was looking through some of mother's things and I found all your medals, accomplishments, all that, Pony. She loved you, more than she loved anyone. You can't keep dying in your own greave, sobbing all night. You have to get back out there and make them proud."
- So, Ponyboy throws himself into training like never before. But now, it's not just about having fun; it's serious pressure. Especially with Darry taking charge, pushing him harder. You have to remember Darry was this big football star back in high school, had a shot to leave Tulsa and all, but then their parents passed, and now he's dead set on turning Ponyboy into the best ice skater in the country.
- But Ponyboy feels like Darry doesn't get him. They clash a lot because Darry's always reminding him that skating's alway been for the rich kids, not greasers like them. And the judges and other skaters don't make it any easier, they don't understand his DIY outfits and background, giving him low scores in presentation and seeing him as a greaser who skates like a girl, basically he's making a mockery of the "elegant" art of ice skating.
- Ponyboy, he thinks (like in the book) Darry sees him as a total annoyance and burden, always saying he can do better. It's like he's constantly walking on thin ice, trying to live up to Darry's expectations while dealing with his own doubts and insecurities and all that.
- But even then he doesn't care what other people think, he knows he's talented and he won't be apologizing for being who he is. He will prove EVRYONE just how wrong they are about him.
Ponyboy
Pretty much like in the book he is a little angsty and has to deal with a little too much at a young age, but he's still that guy who loves reading books, watching movies and ice skating. His drive here stems from a desire to prove his worth, sometimes leading to a touch of obsession in seeking the perfect embodiment of his artistry and a score that silences all the people who think he can't make it.
Darry
I know Darry sounds like a total asshole but I belive he's giving everything he has for pony and tries to push him like how his coach used to do when he was in high school. Despite being barely older than a teenager, He's under so much pressure and stress all the time that he might be setting some into his younger siblings.
Sodapop
I personally think Sodapop might not be super into ice skating as a sport, but he's always been there to cheer on Ponyboy, especially after their parents passed. He decides to attend one of Pony's tournaments, but he's taken aback by how intense Darry is being. He's like, "Don't you think you're pushing him too hard?" But Darry's all like, "I know what I'm doing. I'm making him a star."
Sodapop also may try to be with Ponyboy more, inviting him to hang out and take breaks from all the practice, but Pony keeps turning him down. (Steve's obviously happy that Pony isn't always tagging along anymore lol)
As time goes on, Sodapop starts feeling a bit distant from his own family. With all this new attention on Ponyboy and the constant tension at home, he starts feeling really alone. He still cares deeply about Pony and is proud of his achievements, but he just wishes things could go back to how they were before, with their family all together.
Rest of the gang?
Idk, I thought this AU yesterday over discord. What would Johnny's reaction be to all of this?
(Gif is relevant because this AU came to my mind inspired by the Tonya Harding story and a bunch of Yuzuru and ice skating tiktok edits.)
Extras
I will probably be adding more to this AU later on the week 🫶
