I’ve been thinking of writing. a fic where it’s a Percy Jackson and Harry Potter cross over, where regulus is a son of Apollo, and Sirius doesn’t know about it till he’s in like fith year, and the whole reason why I want to write it is because I think a scene where after it’s revealed that he’s a Demi god,

Sirius would go : wait, Apollo? As in the god of singing? That’s your dad? Is that the reason you can sing so well?!

Regulus: yeah it is. Like half of the “muggle” musicians are Apollo kids. Actually last time dad had his little feast, David was bragging how he’s the most famous of his kids. It gets so annoying sometimes.

Sirius: David… as in David Bowie?

Regulus: Yes? (He doesn’t really listen to rock music, or any of his Demi god siblings stuff for that matter because they get on his nerves already, so why would he seek them out?)

Sirius: I share a baby brother with the David Bowie? Like the real David Bowie? Oh my god, I share a brother with David Bowie, Remus did you hear that?!

Sirius and Remus then freak out so bad that they pass out.

Would be very very funny.

i’m just gonna say it i love how kaos handled orpheus and eurydice. i really did, im a huge greek mythology nerd and that story has always been about the refusal to give someone up even when you should, its not a love story its a story about grief. and i just- ah they did something really cool there didn’t they? i’m gonna rewatch the season and like properly form my opinions but i really like it.

Found an old sketch of Apollo that I think was supposed to be part of a comic? but i don't remember what the rest of it was supposed to be. Anyways I repurposed it and added in my lil headcanon that Apollo's scars from his time as Lester show up on his godly form whenever he loses control of himself post-ToA. Cuz that's fun.

Cannot stop thinking about an au where Turnabout Trump doesn't happen/happens but Olga is convicted instead so Apollo is still working at the Gavin law offices for his first few cases. He meets Trucy at one of the crime scenes and she tags along on his investigations, but she doesn't tell him about her connection to Phoenix until after their first case together. Ema likes Apollo less at first bc she doesn't like the fop and you work for his brother, who she also hates bc he's very condescending when he cross examines her in court.

When you meet Klavier in the second case you can ask Kristoph about him and vice versa. They don't interact with each other but you get to learn some more things about the brothers, their opinions on each other and their backstory. You also find out that Klavier was the one who got Phoenix disbarred and Kristoph is apologetic about it, given that Phoenix is his "friend" (though they haven't interacted at all since phoenix was found not guilty).

At one point Trucy is visiting Apollo at the Gavin Law Offices when Kristoph returns and "politely" kicks her out. She then reveals to Apollo who the daddy she keeps talking about actually is. You get to meet Phoenix again in the next case and find out more about the incident 7 years ago.

Over the course of the game you/Apollo starts to grow more suspicious of Kristoph and his intentions, alongside a growing sense of horror that you got an innocent person convicted in your first case. It all comes to a head in Succession when Drew Misham finally uses the stamp, which turns up fixed to a letter in the Gavin Law Offices postbox that Apollo collects on his way in one morning. You hand it to Kristoph and he promptly disappears with it, feigning excuses. Phoenix uses this case to finally spring his trap and test the jurist system. Kristoph gets the double whammy of his brother and mentee turning on him at once and the murder of Shadi Enigmar is properly resolved. It's also revealed that Trucy started tagging along on Apollo's investigations to collect intel for Phoenix.

At the end of Succession, Apollo is offered a role at the newly-renamed Wright Anything Agency and there's a final rise from the ashes-style case that serves as Apollo's first proper case as an official WAA employee and helps tie up some loose threads/lets the characters deal with the fallout of Succession.

Idk I just think it'd be fun/satisfying to realise slowly that there's more to everything than meets the eye.

I find it kinda amusing how Apollo is generally accepted to be the master of all healing arts and yet some authors ascribe the discovery of specific fields of medicine/health to him. Like yes this god knew all the healing stuff but he really, really liked this one specifically.

Hyginus has recorded a tradition where Apollo was the first to discover eye treatment. Why the eye specifically? What was the reason??

Another example is, him basically founding what seems to be nutritional science:

First making men more cheerful, later it undermines morals and sanity. This difference is generally ignored in things in which the result is not so pronounced, although everything eaten is the cause of a certain peculiar disposition. He even teamed up with a mortal for this (Phaon was totally Apollo's test subject trust me I was there) it's more surprising because gods don't even need to eat (I think) so really, what made him passionate about this specifically.

the problem with all these white authors like rick riordan who are revealing their stances on the israel-palestine apartheid is that they barely do anything but virtue signal when they claim “i’m on the side against war” “i’m anti-violence” “i abhor terrorism.” zero people are going to disagree with you. zero people believe what hamas did is justified. zero people think israel shouldn’t have a right to defend itself against terrorism. but that isn’t what israel is doing when they collectively punish all of palestine, who doesn’t even have an official army. when rick riordan says some wishy-washy bullshit about the violence suffered on both sides of the conflict, and words his whole dumbass blog post like it’s violence that is in any way equal, that literally helps no one. in fact, it’s so damn negligent of the 75 years of violence that palestine has suffered and been oppressed for. yes, there are innocent civilians in israel who are suffering, no one is disagreeing with you. that doesn’t erase the fact that israel is a disgusting state that has used state-sanctioned violence on a systemic scale since its conception, and the oppressed people have responded to that in violent retaliation (because OBVIOUSLY they would). israel is built on the subjugation of palestine, there is no equal suffering between the two.
