Cooking and baking

A small pet peeve of mine with cooking and baking is when recipes say the container rather than the amount

Like, instead of saying "500ml of cream" you say "a pot of cream". Or "a whole can of corn". Like okay which kind of can??? What amount???? Corn comes in more than one size you can't just tell me a can. PLEASE i am begging you tell me the WEIGHT

This is especially a problem with recipes from different countries, for example America. Because your stick of butter is different to our butter. STOP SAYING STICK OF BUTTER TELL ME THE QUANTITY IN GRAMS PLEASE I HAVE A FAMILY

that being said I feel like I see this crop up in like american recipes in particular. Idk if I've ever seen a recipe in one of our cookbooks that does this....

anyway please just tell me the gosh darn weight I am dying here I have a family I JUST NEED TO KNOW THE WEIGHT

Going off the rules of sonic heroes if we were to trioize the jimas saejima’d obvi fit the power role but now we have to ask what roles majima and daigo fit cause on the one hand i believe majima could pilot a helicopter if he wanted to but on the other hand attributing ‘fly’ to daigo is another case of cruel and unusual punishment

Why does everyone in America think we in the UK use kilometres per hour?

We use more metric measurements than the USA sure but UK is arguably worse because we use a mix. Pints for milk and beer. Ounces sometimes in baking. Feet and inches for people's heights (if you tell me how tall you are in cm I will just look at you with empty dead eyes)

We use mph here in the UK. Iirc I think like trains do use kmph but I'm not 100% sure with that. Cars and stuff tho? Miles per hour. We're like the only country in Europe that uses mph but gosh darn do we use it

Honestly sooooooo fucked up that I thought my overwhelming daily fatigue and debilitating body pain was a product of the awful working conditions I was under for years and years... and yet, despite being out of work for half a year now, I'm still so fatigued and in pain all the time??? Like come on man that's not fair

Oh well maybe I have liver disease and they'll treat it and then I am magically so much more energized like I was as a kid. We can only hope !!!!
