once you were done and closed your laptop in relief, you were finally able to feel all the emotions your stress had suppressed. shock and gratefulness for Juyeon's sudden agreement to your request were just two, but as you looked around his room, you were filled with curiosity. who was this roommate of yours who had so many dancing awards? there was even a guitar, and you wondered if it was just for show or if he actually played it.

beside it, there was a notebook open to a random page. you didn't look on purpose, of course, but it just happened to be in your line of vision as you packed up your things.

11:04am - saw them grabbing something from the fridge.

5:26pm - they came home as i was leaving to go on a walk. they told me it was cold and to take a jacket with me.

3:53am - i think they're struggling to sleep. i can hear them watching a show. i hope they're okay.

the more you read, the more you realized all these entries were about you. why was he writing down all the times he saw you?

knock. knock. knock.

"is everything okay? are you done the exam?" Juyeon whispered outside the door, in case you might still be writing.

you scrambled to get away from the notebook as you pushed open his bedroom door, also pushing Juyeon in the process.

"my bad! i didn't know you were behind the door," you apologized.

Juyeon waved away your worries and asked how the exam went.

"good, good! maybe your room just has good luck."

Juyeon shook his head and said, "if it did, i wouldn't be failing two of my classes."

"what classes? you're failing?" you asked in shock.

"yeah.. they're some annoying electives," he said with a sigh.

"maybe we could study for them together?" you suggested after a brief silence.

"are you taking those classes, too?"

"no, but we can still study together! do you have time later today?"

"yeah, where should we study?"

"let's stay here. it's freezing out today!" you said, already shivering at the thought of having to step outside again.

Juyeon laughed and nodded in agreement. his smile was gorgeous, almost blinding.

"oh! someone named.. Hak? dropped off a plant before you got here. he told me to give it to you," Juyeon explained before handing you the plant.

"oh, great! thank you so much."

you held the plant in your hands, turning it and admiring it.

"is Hak a friend of yours, or?" Juyeon asked, cautiously.

"a friend. a really annoying one who actually did me a favour for once by bringing this plant," you told the tall boy with a grin.

Juyeon nodded and let you take the plant to your room.

after spending the next few hours wondering what the hell that notebook in Juyeon's room had been about, your thoughts were interrupted by hin knocking at your door.

"are you ready to study together now?" he asked.

you opened the door and told him that the kitchen bar table is the best place to study.

"easy access to study snacks and not so easy access to the tv... minimal distractions!" you cheered.

you didn't catch the way he chuckled at you and whispered that you were quite the distraction.

nonetheless, the two of you set down your things and got cracking. every so often, you would ask each other a question, even though you were studying completely different things. it was still helpful to think things through with someone else!

after just over two hours, though, the two of you were getting tired and hungry. Juyeon stretched beside you, lazy running his fingers through his dark hair.

"how does pizza sound?" he asked, already pulling out his phone.

"scrumptious!" you said, making him laugh.

as you waited for the pizza, you realized it actually didn't take much to make Juyeon laugh like that. he was constantly flashing you his teeth each time you said something, and you didn't know if you were a comedian or if he was just being nice.

"you're so funny, y/n," he said at one point, grasping onto the back of your chair for support as he laughed. you could feel his slender fingers against your back.

you cocked your head to one side. "am i?" you asked.

he nodded.

ding dong.

"pizza!" you cheered, running to the door.

Juyeon followed behind you and watched as you paid the pizza delivery person with the cash that you and Juyeon had put together.

you struggled to sort out the change while holding the pizza box, so Juyeon came forward to take the box from you, pressing his chest against your back during the process.

your breath hitched in your throat.

was he being really touchy or were you just sensitive?

the two of you opted to eat on the couch, turning on something random as you munched away. Juyeon brought over some alcohol and you also had your beverage of choice, and soon the two of you were talking about some intimate topics.

"i saw a guitar and dancing awards in your room... assuming from your elective, you must be some kind of arts major?" you asked.

Juyeon nodded. "dance is my major, i minor in guitar. music.. performing.. i love it a lot."

"you're so cool for that," you said, chewing on your pizza.

"i think you're cool," Juyeon replied.

when you looked at him, he was looking straight at you, a sincere smile on his lips. you were taken aback. then, you were reminded of the notebook in his room. you wanted to ask, but that would mean he'd know you were snooping around his room.

"what are you thinking about?" he asked.

the way he was sat on the couch in that white t-shirt, clinging onto his skin for dear life, showed all the curves and shadows of his muscles. you gulped unconsciously.

"um... just... things," you said.

"do you like plants, by the way?" he asked.

you appreciated the way he noticed you were uncomfortable with his question, so he changed the topic.

"i do! i have a whole collection in my room, wanna see?" you asked.

"definitely! wait let's clean up first, though. if Eric comes home to this mess, he'll kill us."

you laughed at how true Juyeon's comment was, and rushed to tidy things up. the way Juyeon neatly put the leftover pizza into reusabel containers for you both, labelled them with your names, and put them in the fridge was adorable. it made your heart swell.

"okay, now let's see those plants of yours," Juyeon said.

you felt a bit shy showing him your room, so you carefully watched his reaction as he looked around. he was smiling and scanning the place, as if trying to memorize it.

when you pointed to the plants by your window, he immediately broke into another one of his pretty grins.

"the pots have faces on them!" he noticed.

"of course they do! and they have names," you said, sharing the names of your plants with Juyeon. you had painted faces on them to give them character.

"oh my gosh, do you have a diary for your plants?" you heard him say, picking up the mini notebook where you document how your plants are doing.

"wha--no! give it back!" you whined, reaching for it.

of course, the boy was too tall. he watched in anusement as you struggled to reach for his hands. he had been so sweet and considerate before, why was he suddenly teasing you?!

then, you got an idea. you climbed onto your bed and reached for your notebook from there... but his grip on it was so strong that you ended up pulling the notebook and him towards you. and that's how you ended up with Juyeon on top of you, on your bed.

you expected him to roll off immediately, face red and scratching the back of his neck while apologizing. but he stayed there. he stayed, hands on either side of you, chest almost touching yours and faces just inches apart. your hearts raced. he scanned your face. his eyes went to your lips, then back up. lips, then back up.

he cleared his throat. "can i kiss you?"

your eyes widened. why did he want to kiss you? and why did you say yes? but you did.. and suddenly you felt a glimpse of heaven. his lips were warm, soft, and tasted not even like pizza but like strawberries... it was the gloss on his lips. he was wearing strawberry gloss!

now you weren't a pro kisser or anything but somehow.. his movements matched yours so well. and you felt so many butterflies that you were glad you were laying down, or else you would've fallen over.

once he pulled away, you watched his eyelids flutter open.

"w-was that okay?" he asked.

"yeah," you said while nodding.

"did i make you uncomfortable?" he asked. why was he being the sweetest damn man--

"not really," you replied. he nodded, sitting up and also helping you up.

now his face was red and he was scratching the back of his neck. "i'm sorry i took your plant journal. i just thought it was really cute."

"it's okay... um, i have an important call to make," you lied. "would you mind giving me some space?"

"sure!" Juyeon agreed. "don't forget about your pizza in the fridge."

he gently closed the door behind him and you fell back onto your bed, knowing you wouldn't be able to sleep that night. that kiss would be on replay in your brain.

after that night, you weren't purposely avoiding Juyeon. you just... felt shy and flustered whenever you saw him. he'd try to talk to you and you'd run away.

then, he managed to trap you.

"y/n, we need to talk," he said, placing both around around you on the fridge doors just as you were about to open them.

you turned, being met with his chest. you looked up to find an intense look on his face.

"okay.. let's talk," you said.

"are you avoiding me?" he asked.

"no."

he squinted his eyes.

"maybe... it's not on purpose, i swear! it just happened automatically!"

he sighed. "gosh, are you scared of me? did i.. traumatize you? y/n, i'm so sorry, even though i asked for your permission that wasn't right. i just--"

oh my god. why were you kissing him again? you didn't know. somehow at some point you just.. grabbed his cheeks and leaned in. and he was kissing back. and oh my god there were those butterflies again. your knees starting feeling weak, so Juyeon had to wrap an arm around your waist.

when you pulled away, you immediately started apologizing, but Juyeon silenced you with another kiss. he eyes on you made you melt... and you ran away. again.

and the next day, that's how you ended up meeting with Haknyeon at a café to tell him that Juyeon, a roommate you hate, has been kissing you. having makeout sessions with you. why did you lie and say you hated Juyeon? maybe it was to cover up the fact that you were very much starting to like him. you were a little ashamed because all it took was a few kisses and one study session.

"this is either an enemies to lovers or friends with benefits. but you're not friends?" Haknyeon said, sipping his drink.

"okay.. actually i don't hate him. maybe i'm starting to like him," you finally confessed.

"oh my god, okay. so now we just need to figure out if he likes you too, or if this is just some... friends with benefits? thing," he said.

you also told Haknyeon about Juyeon's notebook, and he said that you should definitely find a way to ask about it.

"go into his room for something and then grab the notebook out of curiosity or something. see what happens!"

so now, you had a plan. no more running away.

when you got back home, Juyeon was in his room. his door was slightly opened and you could see his back as he sat at his desk. you sucked in a deep breath through your teeth and slowly made your way towards him, trying to think of what to say.

"Juyeon, can i come in?" you asked at the door.

you couldn't see the way his face immediately lit up as he heard your voice. he turned to you with a more serious look, gesturing for you to come in.

"what's up?" he asked.

you sat on his bed and saw the notebook at the end of his bed, sitting on a dresser. almost naturally, you reached it for, Juyeon's hand quickly meeting yours to stop you. he took the notebook for himself, clutching onto it tightly.

"i asked what's up, y/n."

"oh, um.. honestly, nothing. i just.. wanted to come in."

Juyeon's expression softened. he turned the notebook in his large hands.

"well... you're here."

"what's that, though?" you asked, pointing to the notebook.

"this?" he asked in return, holding it up.

"it's... inspiration for songs for one of my electives."

was he keeping tabs on you in there to write songs about you?

"can i see?" you asked.

Juyeon shook his head, his hair wooshing around.

you pouted and Juyeon sighed.

"you'll.. think it's weird because... it's filled with things about you," he confessed.

"huh?" you were taken aback by his honesty. and even more taken aback when he handed you the notebook.

his face was dusted red and he looked shy as he motioned for you to look through it.

"okay, y/n. i'll just be honest, because it wasn't right of me to.. come onto you without making my feelings clear. i may have had a slight crush on you for a while, now. and these feelings kept developing and after studying with you i realized i really like you. it's all moving so fast, i know, but.. that's how i feel. i wanted to write a song for you and use that to confess but.. i guess that'll have to wait," he explained with a smile.

what followed was silence, and you decided to break it by being just as honest as Juyeon, since he deserved it.

"Juyeon.. i think.. no, i'm pretty sure i'm starting to like you, too. and i'm sorry for being so bad at acknowledging these feelings, too."

Juyeon smiled down into his lap, glad that you weren't weirded out by the boy or anything. he carefully reached of for one of your hands. "can i take you out on a proper date sometime, then?"

you nodded. "let's call it a study date but do everything except for study!"

Juyeon laughed and you fluttered. yep, you were definitely falling for your roommate.

All in all I really enjoyed this season, I binged it in like, three days and I loved ALL the Stiles centric moments with the Nogitsune, although I feel there could've been something MORE, like going deeper into WHY Stiles of all people and letting us see more of the internal turmoil. But that's just me loving to inflict some sweet sweet desperation and torture on my faves, although I did tear up a bit when they thought he had the same illness as his mother like OOF low blow.

Anyway insane how anything Stiles related always circles back to Peter somehow, really makes you think 🤔

Hello! I have come asking for you to info-dump about the the modern human au. I full of brain rot of them (especially after the last thing you posted about them, damn) Maybe you can tell us a bit more Sally!!

lucky for you, i've been full of that good ol brainrot As Well! thoughts! feelings! ideas! i got em!

so since we're already on the subject of the Crash Arc, allow me to expand on it for a moment before i get to Sally Thinkings! if you've read the snippet, you may have noticed the extent of Wally's injuries was not listed yet. well! he got messed up with a capital F! since it's fiction and i'm god in this scenario, i'm veering slightly away from realistic damage, immediate & lasting. bc lets be real. if i stuck to "this is as realistic as i can make it", then Wally would be aaaaaabsolutely fucked. it was a bad crash in a very unsafe vehicle at high speeds. like - this is what happened. a drunk driver hit Home going 70 down the freeway. swerve, fishtail, tumble down a (small, shallow, really its more like a glorified ditch) ravine with trees and rocks and shit on it. absolute miracle that Wally didn't die in the crash, let alone during the solid half hour (slightly longer) he was trapped in Home before someone noticed the crash site and called emergency personnel. Wally "hanging up" on Barnaby was actually the impact jarring him so he slipped and hit the end call button. but yeah without going into technicalities and detail, Wally has some lasting damage in his dominant hand. It takes extensive physical therapy for him to be able to paint/draw again at the same level he had been at. the hematoma hadn't done a lot of brain damage that wouldn't resolve itself with time. in my mind, when Wally wakes up in the hospital, for a few days he's very confused and his memory is shot. he'll wake up, interact, then go to sleep, but when he wakes up again its like waking up for the first time again. he just can't retain memories for a bit. he's got some severe brain fog. his mood is also kinda fucked with - he's uncharacteristically irritable with low patience, etc. these are all things that clear up with time, but in my mind Wally has chronic migraines going forward. bad ones! and there are days where it's harder fr him to concentrate. and yk. a teeny bit of chronic pain where his shin bone was pinned back together and where his hand was essentially crushed. but other than that he's fine going forward! good days and bad days!

but enough about that! You Want To Hear About Sally!

i imagine that she becomes quite successful in the theater industry. i'm not too familiar with it myself, so i'm gonna be uh. Vague about it? but she starts her own theater troupe - it's a bit of a commute from home base to the town she works in, where the theater is located in, but she makes it work! of the group, she's probably away more than any of them. working on shows, traveling to work on other ones - i like to think she's been on Broadway! she probably has had opportunities to do tv/movie acting, but idk... i feel like Sally would be like "nah. live shows or nothing". maybe at some point she takes up voice acting gigs, as long as she can do them from home. she probably has her own little room-turned-VA-studio thing. idk how that works either! it seems right! but yes Howdy's store's automated messages and advertisements are in Sally's voice. she's probably picked up a temporarily modeling gig here and there.

so Sally is very very busy. Poppy is supportive. everyone is, and they all love to help out when they can - and reel Sally in when the "stardom" starts to get to her head. they do their best to acclimate to occasionally getting jumpscared by her voice in a grocery store or in. idk. fashion shoots. victoria's secret billboards. that last one was a joke! maybe. i think she would.

i also like to imagine Sally like... getting some sort of award and then spending a solid five minutes naming her friends, thanking them with specificity, and then plugging their own stuff. they probably have a rotation for who accompanies her as her plus one for events and parties she may or may not be invited to. she's not like... a Big celebrity but! she's Known and Liked! she has Connections! i like to imagine her and Wally looking dapper as fuck at a Venue...

so the friend group typically stays together, with Sally going off to do her Things the most. she makes sure to schedule time to be with her friends and girlfriend/wife/Poppy between work and gigs and etc. she somehow finds a balance with Ease. or apparent ease... someone get this girl a vacation...

I also have to say your design choices for each give them such a distinctive difference, that I would love to know your inspirations.

I have read your AU, and while I obviously know you took liberties in certain aspects of history. And that this is Countryhumans. I can’t help but ask you. Even if Norway, if I am correct, got *invaded* because of the small but important river up on their border. (Seriously though, Pasvik river???? That’s what got the final straw??? Idk why but I think that just shows how dangerous the Ares kids are. Like the Athena kids are always hyped and everything for the strategic warfare, but cmon there HAD to be a reason why everyone was so worried bout the Ares kids joining the Battle of Manhatten. I'm not sure, and I'm also hopeful/excited (so.. a regular felassan state of affairs hh..). if it's in a place where they feel ready to show it to the world more then that'd be neat, it'd be cool to see what's being worked on. and ofc anything said here is only speculation.

it's been at TGA before (2018 trailer, 2020 trailer), the last time being 3 years ago in 2020. if the 2024 internal currently-aimed release window mentioned in error on a dev profile recently is indeed still current (I'd guess that the change to "TBD" won't have been because the aim changed since the dev put that there btw, it'll have been because there isn't supposed to be any public info about the currently aimed release window yet but the games press noticed it on the profile, prompting BW/EA to ask the dev to change it. separate note: this being the case doesn't mean that there's no possibility that the window will slip more though), appearing at TGA 2023 wouldn't be a shock. maybe it depends on whether the possible 2024 release window is in early (but still after April 1st 2024 because of the fiscal quarter & FY24 slate stuff) 2024 or late 2024? as if it's later in 2024 (like say November) I could see a world where it isn't at TGA23 but is somewhere in the summer video game event/news expo period instead, because of the recent trend that's been observable in the industry generally and commented on by a former bioware dev re: an industry move towards shorter marketing periods (like more in the realm of a few months-6 months than a year). it's been said that the policy for this for a lot of AAA games has become a lot shorter, tending towards a lot shorter and louder marketing campaigns.

jeff grubb recently said on DA:D, "The Game Awards 2023 sounds right to me, they’ve done stuff at The Game Awards before. I’m expecting them to be there. If they’re not, it better be soon after, because Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, was, you know, there was a chance Dragon Age: Dreadwolf could’ve came out this year. Obviously it did keep moving internally, as I’ve reported before. It’s now, they’re looking at, you know, by the mid of next year, something like that.” and "The reality is, we very well could get Dragon Age: Dreadwolf content at The Game Awards. [link] this is interesting bc i'm pretty sure I remember a tweet from him last year about TGA22 where he straight up said "no it won't be there" or something basically when he was asked about it.

what I would say is that if it's gonna happen in a substantial way (as in not a codex entry and a blog post) in early December 2023, it'd likely be at TGA, not on DADay. this is based on how it was done previously and also on what's been said about DADay (an unofficial fan holiday event that just happens to occur very close to when TGA is held, thereby being overshadowed by it in terms of scale) vs TGA (a massive industry-wide high publicity event). DADay has seemed to have been more of a community-focused thing, a place to announce something smaller in scale like a tv show or a new book or to have something smaller highlighted like short stories or a codex. it's more of a 'today we are announcing we will be at TGA' with a new trailer-type [hypothetically] context rather than a 'here is a new trailer that isnt an ingame cinematic' type context, if that makes sense. saying that if it isnt going to be a 'big' trailer at TGA23, maybe there's something at DAday like last year where they showed an ingame sequence, which is smaller than a 'big substantial trailer' but still a video.

It’s prom!! And everyone’s so excited and dressed up!! It’s July, it’s really warm and it’s about 7pm and all the kids have got their beautiful dresses and suits on, and it’s just so lovely to see all of them all grown up and having a lovely time!! Obviously all of the teachers are invited, and you immediately knew what dress to wear when you first heard about it. I feel like it would maybe be navy, silky material, long and slinky, little cap sleeve with a v-neck (not too low, professional as ever).

When Ross sees you in it, his jaw drops. He has to take himself to the bar to get a beer, something, anything, because you are truly the most gorgeous person he’s ever seen. He’s wearing a suit (I’m thinking he looks like Brit Awards 2023) and he looks gorgeous himself, obviously. You feel exactly the same when you see him, tucking your loosely curled hair behind your ears as a method of distraction from your pounding heart as he approaches you. You say hello to each other and it’s a bit flirty and giggly because this is the first time you’ve ever seen each other properly dressed up.

The whole night, he can’t stop looking at you. You’re sat with a glass of champagne, maybe looking round the room and listening to everyone and just being present, and some other colleague is chewing his ear off about some new procedure they’re introducing at work. He finds his gaze drifting to you, swallowing heavily as his eyes inevitably rake up your figure and your hair and your lips, your legs crossed at the ankle and the tan skin of them exposed by the slit in your dress. Your eyes travel around the room and eventually fall on him, his gaze already fixed on you, and I feel like a wave of comfort and relief comes over both of you as you see each other. He raises his eyebrows at you and subtly, playfully rolls his eyes at the man essentially shouting in his ear, making you giggle into your champagne. You watch as he excuses himself and comes to sit with you instead, sat next to you at an angle so he’s facing you, asking you what you’re drinking and making small talk, a layer of tension hidden somewhere in every word that leaves your mouths.

The kids interrupt you and are like ‘stop flirting!! coke and dance!!’. I think it’s something like Don’t Stop Believing, and you sing and dance and laugh at the way the kids belt out every lyric, as do you and Ross, and it’s just so lovely.

Like you said yourself, it’s definitely just the two of them left after slightly tipsy, tired students have been ushered into parents’ cars and taxis. You’re trying to tidy the tables a bit, gathering random paper plates and mess that had been left, heels clicking on the floor. The DJ is still there, having been booked until 12, and he’s playing slower, more chill music as you tidy. When Ross walks in, he’s got quite a pace, looking left and right. He looks so tall and broad in his suit, hair still neatly pulled back, relaxing a little when he saw you - ‘I thought you’d left already’. You shake your head no, butterflies in your stomach as he makes his way to you. You kind of stand in silence together for a few seconds before he looks at the DJ, still playing music (a/n: I have the Bridget Jones soundtrack on my record player rn and Me And Mrs Jones is playing, and I feel like they’d dance to this. That’s the vibe.). He knows it’s now or never, because when is he going to get the chance to slow dance in an empty function room with his crush, who he truly believes could very well be the love of his life. He holds his hand out to you, cocking his head to the dance floor - ‘do you want to? last song of the night?’ You nod and take his hand gently, letting him lead you to the middle. You hold each other gently and it’s the first time you’ve ever really been this close, one hand on your waist and holding yours in his other. Swaying side to side slowly, you meet his eyes and they’re so big and dark and soft, and I think this is when you realise you’re in love. I think he knew it already, but from this point forward, it’s like it’s you or no one for him.

You stand on your tiptoes and press a kiss to his cheek, your lips warm on his skin. Before you can fully pull away, he turns his head to you slightly, so your lips are centimetres apart, not even inches, and it doesn’t take long for him to close the minuscule gap. Your lips just fit together so seamlessly and perfectly and it’s heavenly, the song in the background and his hold on you and your long-awaited, much-anticipated first kiss. When he pulls away, you’re both basking in a glow of sorts, and I think when the song ends, he drives you home and kisses you goodnight at your doorstep, waiting for you until you get in the house. You both wake up the next morning in your respective beds, beaming, Ross reaching for his phone and there being a text from you already.

However, when Maya was asked in a Vlive about her supposed jealousy, she denied it, although it was obvious that she was in fact jealous.
