Not to diverge much, or to hijack the conversation, but I'm gonna write about "translating art" a bit. I hope that it makes sense.
So, this feels like when I first started reading fantasy. Writing is a form of art that I love very much, so I remember a lot about my first impressions and all. I specifically remember reading a book about magic, the first book I bought because I wanted to read and nothing else. It was in a world where magic would be a focal point, get described with care and detail. Then idk, a popular book series about a demigod teenager that could control water, and what do you know? The water was described in full, the friendship, different dialogues, puns, the color of the eyes.
Then I read another series, this one about a boy with a dream and with a reality that made it difficult for him to pursue it, of course, the description of his sadness was longer too, his physical attributes were important, and they got a lot of attention, but not all the time either, and not really that in depth. What got the most attention were the comparisons, where he came short, and where coming short of something was being ahead on other things.
I remember reading a book following the story of a bard. It was art about art itself, in my opinion. Everything was described vividly. Stunning visuals, I could almost hear a song that doesn't even have a melody, I could grasp the process of creation without creating. It was something I was very bad at, after all. The author could make anything look beautiful and magical, even when it was the most ordinary of things.
Then came the magic. Well, part of it. It was logic, almost physics-like, followed hard rules, and you guessed it, the process of creation through it was also interesting. But then came the magic. Again. The magic that was hinted at, the soft kind, the magical kind, the one you have been preparing for up until now. The one that would require you to appreciate the art in order to understand, to appreciate everything as an artist. To see beyond what it is, what it is made of, what it looks like. To see inside, to see what it can be, what it represents and what it wants. In a way, to see it for what it _is_ (a different "is").
From top to bottom
Mage - Raymond E. Feist.
Percy Jackson - Rick Riordan
Ranger's Apprentice - John Flanagan
The name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss.
Rothfuss' writing isn't for everyone in a different way than the others. I don't know if I could explain it if I tried, but honestly? I feel great that it's something fewer people appreciate. This is, obviously, my take on those books. The actual intent behind it may differ strongly, but I don't think it matters, since art is something normally made to provoke thought and feelings. We hope the audience can get close to what we meant to say, but when they don't, we are happy that they got to experience something positive from our words/drawings/songs, etc.
I see his as the most complex out of these, the one that resonated the most with me, I guess? Probably because of the main character being the most relatable. And if just the eyes that tell the story can change so much about it, shouldn't we put much more thought into what our art could look like for people that can't "see" it the same as us? Like I already said, most of the time, your meaning will be lost, so, if you're "translating" art, how can you get close to this new audience's heart?
I mean, translating is all about that too. You can't just use the best words you think of and be done. Brazilian dubbing is famous for making jokes almost never fall flat.
If you localize the joke, you get a better reaction than when you explain the joke that only works in the original language (even though I am the kind of person that learns a language to appreciate the original material instead, and that's the reason I speak english.)
Anyway, if I got something wrong, just correct me, and if I don't get it, I'll ask.
"In recent years, there has been a rush on the internet to supply image descriptions and to call out those who donât. This may be an example of community accountability at work, but itâs striking to observe that those doing the most fierce calling out or correcting are sighted people. Such efforts are largely self-defeating. I cannot count the times Iâve stopped reading a video transcript because it started with a dense word picture. Even if a description is short and well done, I often wish there were no description at all. Get to the point, already! How ironic that striving after access can actually create a barrier. When I pointed this out during one of my seminars, a participant made us all laugh by doing a parody: âMary is wearing a green, blue, and red striped shirt; every fourth stripe also has a purple dot the size of a pea in it, and there are forty-seven stripesââ
âYouâre killing me,ïżœïżœ I said. âI canât take any more of that!â
Now serious, she said it was clear to her that none of that stuff about Maryâs clothes mattered, at least if her clothes werenât the point. What mattered most about the image was that Mary was holding her diploma and smiling. âBut,â she wondered, âdo I say, Mary has a huge smile on her face as she shows her diploma or Mary has an exuberant smile or showing her teeth in a smile and her eyes are crinkled at the edges?â
Itâs simple. Mary has a huge smile on her face is the best one. Itâs the donât-second-guess-yourself option."

IDK WHAT TO TITLE THIS??? Just read
I think by creating countless amounts of posts to help people reach the state of shifting or enter the void state is low key pointless
Because why do I have to continue to tell you
A bunch of people Iâll never actually talk to
Irl
How to do something we were all created and born TO DO??
Youâre just read this and then proceed to not do it anyway
The reason youâre on here is actually why you âcanât do itâ
Itâs not that you canât
You wonât
Because youâre procrastinating but not only are you procrastinating youâre also
Trying to figure out how to do something
Youâve always known what to do
I read somewhere some ppl canât enter the void
Because it was scientifically proven that we all have different parts of brains thatâll allow it or something I donât remember but google it
I think thatâs weird
Because the void state is literally conscious
Every single human being has consciousness
And we can all access it through meditation hypnosis etc
Why some ppl enter it more easily
Is because they donât overthink it most ppl look at it as a âoooh I wanna try itâ
When youâre excited to try something you donât over complicate it or assume itâs not gonna work
Even if you do youâre still too excited to try it to care
itâs important that if youâve already discovered the loa void state and shifting
You should continue to believe in it
But the actions matter just as much as the intentions
Your actions shouldnât be wavering like
Is it real?
But then saying you believe it is
Figure it out
Do you believe in it or not?
Stop confusing your subconscious mind
Now back to what I was saying earlier
You keep treating it like a chore or a job
When you finally lay down to meditate you think
âWhatâs takin so long?â
Babe
Your impatience is the reason youâre not getting it
The whole point is for relaxation but since youâve all put it on a pedestal
With the manifesting
You act as if
Itâs a wish granter
Itâs not
You are the reason you get your desire
You could get in the void rn but youâd only get your desires if YOU say your affirmations
Stop
Waiting to enter the void
If you have this mindset itâs not gone happen
Think of it as a
Youâre setting the intention and just vibing
Thatâs why my method with the music works so well
Because I donât overthink with music on
Music keeps me awake mentally and certain songs keep me relaxed physically
Plus itâs a good energy then just depending on a subliminal or something
Itâs not doing it for you
My method plus ppl on here literally getting in the void
With no background noise is proof that subliminals are just guiding you to a destination you were already going to reach on your own
So what to take from this post
1. Stop depending on subliminals itâs fine to use them but thinking itâs gonna get your results is putting power into something that isnât as powerful as you
2. Procrastination is going to be the cost of a life you could be living The more you linger on this looking for the answers you already know the longer youâll be living in a world you are desperately trying to escape from congrats youâve got a Dr you can daydream and escape this reality mentally but whatâs the fun in that? That life you keep fantasizing is real and the universe knows how bad you want it so why fantasize? Go there
3. Why are you wondering how ppl get in the void easily? Simply just stop thinking about it so much literally just meditate think affirm whatever donât even think of the void but still have that intention in your mind you wanna move your body? Why? You hate this reality you wanna block out all the physicality it actually feels so good to just be in a moment of peace Iâm telling yâall the key to entering the void shifting etc other OOB experiences is literally just stop paying attention
You know so many ppl with adhd
Or other neurodivergent disorders think itâs so difficult to focus
But I remember years ago I accidentally entered the void without knowing what it was
I was so sleepy I laid down
Got distracted by a thought
And literally it went black for like five seconds and I felt nothing
So literally just stop paying attention
Affirm
If you want
Set the intention count whatever
Or you could just set the intention and just think
Of literally anything
That doesnât cause physical reactions like a funny thought youâd laugh at
But just pretend youâre dreaming like how you normally would
Which brings me to my method
THE DREAM METHOD:
You could pretend to be dreaming
Like if you canât visualize it still use your sense
Image your dreaming
And in that dream youâre living your dream life or you could âdreamâ that youâre in the void
However you want your void to look
By not moving youâre tricking your body into thinking youâre asleep
And by pretending to be dreaming
Youâre tricking your mind into thinking
Youâre both sleeping and dreaming
This will make you either dream Forreal
Or you could use this to get in the void
When or if you feel symptoms
By the way
Those floaty etc symptoms are actually signs that youâre astral projecting because shifting your awareness is a mind thing
NOT an outer body experience
So if you feel floaty dizzy spinning etc
You are astral projecting
BUT
You can use astral projection to shift and to enter the void
Youâre Welcome
Also P.S but have you ever zoned out and stared at something til your vision got all blurry and background noises get fuzzy and whatever youâre focused on is the only think you can subconsciously focus on?
Yeahhh itâs a trance
Try doing this while meditating with your eyes open then close them and keep doing it
What ever you were focus on
Close your eyes
Set the intention
Affirm for a bit
Breathe then
Imagine something
Anything youâd want
And pretend to dream
By just visualizing or thinking or using your senses
You could put on an instrumental and imagine your doing a music video
If you feel symptoms just remember
Nothings physically happening to you
So why focus on it?
If someone saw you youâd still be in bed
Not moving
Itchy feelings mean your body is feeling as if youâre awake
Thereâs no actual physical symptoms of entering the void
Because itâs not really an out of body experience itâs you shifting your awareness has nothing to do with your body
Since youâre shifting to the 4D
The 4D is not physical
I may have mentioned symptoms in my previous posts I donât remember Iâm not a hypocrite I just learn and get more educated
But no matter
Take this how you want
And even if I could help
I could never get you into the void state
Itâs literally me trying to tell YOUR subconscious mind to do something you already know how to do
Like cmon
Also
You donât need the void to shift
Trust me thereâs a gagillion methods
Another also
You donât even need a method just lay down donât move
Trust me weird shit will happen

A headcanon I really love that works with who ever you ship Sanji with is that he would be so excited to make his own wedding cake. Like thatâs just so sweet and cute to me, like I feel like making his own wedding cake is really important to him. Heâs such a romantic that in general I know heâs so excited to get married, and I feel like his wedding cake is something heâs thought about since he was young. I like to think he has a folder from maybe when he was a kid full of ideas for his future wedding. Omg and like while he tests out different cakes (I have a feeling heâd have a few he wants to chose from) I know he feeds his partner to try it for their opinion too and I think heâd just be really smiley about it. Idk I just wanna see Sanji happy and lovedđ

No, Zuko did not lead Katara down a "Dark Path" in The Southern Raiders
Watching Southern Raiders again, and it's bizarre to me that people read that episode as, "Zuko leading Katara down a dark path." Zuko just wants her forgiveness. He fucked up with her severely and to a level that's different from the others. She feels betrayed by him--she was betrayed by him. She trusted him and he all but spat that back in her face so yeah, she's mad. Is it selfish using her desire for justice, closure, maybe revenge to get her to stop being mad at him? Idk perhaps, if you read it that way.
But the way I read it, I read it as him using his resources to give her what she wants most, and that's her mother's killer. Since he was the face of the enemy, since he lost her trust, let him earn that trust back by taking her to the real face of her enemy.
It's the literal least he can do.
Then he steps back. Zuko let's Katara lead the mission, let's her defend herself against Aang and sadly Sokka too while only playing support. Zuko got a comment in there or two, but for the most part it's Katara doing all the talking.
Also something important people forget is that, neither Katara nor Zuko brought up revenge, that was all Aang accusing them(meant to type her, but saying them fits more) of seeking revenge. Maybe that was her unconscious motivation, but Aang was the one who brought it to the forefront of their minds. Zuko states that this is about Justice and closure, Aang was the one who made this about revenge.
After all that back and forth is said and done, Zuko is largely quiet the rest of the episode save for like 3 lines, none of them involving him telling Katara what to do or what she should do.
Katara leads the mission, Katara makes the choice to bloodbend even when Zuko was already facing the SR general on the boat. He didn't tell her to do that, he wasn't in a pinch so she would've needed to do that, hell she didn't even have to do any of that at all considering there was still water on the ground.
These were all Katara's decisions, all Zuko did was stand by her side.
This isn't me trying to say that Katara's making bad decisions. Far from it actually, I heavily agree with Katara's decisions. This isn't even a "supporting woman's wrongs" scenario either. Katara's completely in the right in my mind.
This is a mission involving finding the man who killed her mother. Not kidnapped like Appa (comparison courtesy of Aang), not whatever the hell the comics are doing with Ursa, murdered. Kya is never coming back and it's because of Yon Ra. Little Katara had to see her mother's dead body after the act was done and has to live with the pain and guilt of it all knowing Kya died to protect her. She's traumatized, she's hurt, so she's very much justified in wanting revenge and it's disquieting how so many people make this about Zuko leading her down some dark path for saying "I want to find the man who killed my mother and took her away from me." Bryke included.
Again, Zuko stands back, adds support in the fight when needed, but ultimately is there as her backup and sources.
And yet, people see all of this as Zuko leading her down a dark path. Because he dared to stand back and not talk Katara down from wanting to merc the man who took her mother away from her. What a villain, she said sarcastically.
Realistically, why would he stop her?
If anything, the fact that Zuko was the only one in her corner for this says a lot because of everyone there, he gets it. Sokka should've gotten it too, but that's a separate point for separate post.
He too lost his mother to the Fire Nation. Whether she's dead or missing, the Fire Nation and, namely his Father to put a face to it, took his mother away from him. He lost her and he believed that she was never coming back. Katara and Zuko are the same in that regard. Something he verbally empathizes with her in the Crossroads of Destiny episode.
He knows she needs this because he's been there, is there, and very much wants to have done that. If facing the Fire Lord wasnt Aang's destiny (and this wasn't a kids show, along with other in meta perspective) it doesn't feel to far to say Zuko probably would've killed Ozai.
Revenge for his mother is a side goal, but it's out of reach as of this moment. He has no information on what happened to her or where she is, so he can't do a thing. He sees Katara, someone who badly wants to regain trust with, with a similar goal and mindset and he actually has the means of helping her. Of course he takes it, but this is her mission, not his. He just provides the information and helps her getting there. That's all, everything after the fact comes down to Katara's choices.
When the moment of revenge happens and Katara decides to not kill him, does Zuko say anything? Does he asks her "what are you doing? He's right there, get revenge!" No. He doesn't say anything. He lets her leave, stares down Yon Ra for a second and follows after her in silence. You cant apply headcannon like "maybe he tried to convince her after the fact," because that can easily be countered with the head canon of him comforting her telling her she did the right thing. Going soley off what we saw in canon, on screen, Zuko watches Katara spare him from skewering the man with ice.
He does have a shocked expression in the background but that can either be read as "wow she didn't do it," or "holy shit she probably could've killed me 10 times over." Again, nothing verbal from him, only expressions, so it's hard to say firmly what he's thinking.
I got away from my main point for a second, but I'm coming back to it to say, none of this is Zuko's doing. Zuko didn't lead Katara down any path, he didn't encourage her to enact a bloody revenge, what Katara does was all her own actions, all he did was point in the right direction. Kinda shit how by making it seem like Zuko's manipulating her, it takes away from Katara's agency in the situation. She made her decisions and no man influenced her.
The only who actively tried to was her brother and Aang into forgiving their mother's murderer for some insane reason that I still can't fathom. Maybe from doing something she'd regret, possibly, but the in canon reason we get is, "don't do it. It's a dark path, you should forgive him for your own sake. Insert the Appa comparison" I bring that up again, because Appa was kidnapped, and then found again and they were all reunited. Yet Aang compared that to Kya being murdered and left for her daughter and husband to find. There's a stark difference.
Aang's pain in that regard is understandable and dare I say more supported by the fandom and show, while Katara is pratically being told by everyone save for Zuko to sit down and forgive for some inane reason that rings hollow, feels insensitive at the absolute best and takes away her agency by turning it all on Zuko as him making her choices for her.
It's shit, and an absolute misread of what the episode showed us, something Bryke somehow missed too.
I'm gonna conclude this with a quick summary of the end of the episode. Katara doesn't forgive Yon Ra, yet spares his life because he's just pathetic. Aang's weirdly giddy telling her that he's glad she forgave Yon Ra, and Katara having to shut that shit down and tell him that no, she didn't forgive her mother's killer, she never will, and she's conflicted on letting him live. Then Katara gets a soft look and smile for the first time in a good long while in the episode as she tells Zuko that she does forgive him. We get a Zutara hug (iconic) and the episode ends on a happy-ish, bittersweet note for her. Zuko does tell Aang that he's right and violence isn't what she needed (an admittedly weird line considering seconds before she just said she doesn't know if she was too weak to kill him or too strong too, implying she probably would've gone through with killing him, but whatever) but that's when Katara is out of earshot.
Zuko didn't lead her down any dark path, he left himself be lead by her and was willing to let it happen. It being whatever Katara's decision was going to be. Good, bad, middle, whatever would have happened would have all been Katara's decision and her agency shouldn't be ignored because of a bad-take misread of a pretty clear cut episode with very little ambiguity.
#pro Katara#Katara#Zutara#atla#adjacent Zutara adjacent.#first and formost this is about Katara's agency and how people like to just absolve that#whether she should've killed him or not is a character writing choice tbh and I'm not mad she didn't#me personally I would've done it but hey that's my perspective#many others have made better points about how Aang was awful#awful to her anyways#the Appa comparison was wild#he mentions his people too but he fully went avatar state when he saw Monk Gyatso's body but hey glass houses#ya think he's atleast sympathize with her but no he went fully condescending with her#(also he killed a bug and snapped at people when Appa as gone he should get it. and yet)#sheepses

I was gonna put this in the tags but it's gonna get too long to put there easily, so sorry, I'm replying like this
But my answer is, it really depends a lot on the media in question?
Like, the thing is, I've been a Tolkien fan for ten years or thereabouts now, and I've spent most of that time being at least to some degree also a Silmarillion fan. And with Silm fandom, sometimes even with relatively major characters and relationships, there's not that much information actually given about them. Like, there's a lot of filling in blanks involved with the Silm fan experience. So subsequently, in Tolkien fandom, you can persuade me to ship just about anything if there's even a tiniest hint of emotional resonance that can be inferred from something adjacent and I happen to be in the right mood.
Like, I sort of ship CelebrĂan and Isildur's wife! I've never gotten around to drawing or writing them but I sorta do ship them.
And like, these are characters where... CelebrĂan.. we know her name, we know who her parents are, who she married in canon, who her children are, and where she lived in some time periods, and the whole "getting kidnapped by orcs and sailing to the West" thing. No personality, hobbies, skills, etc. And Isildur's wife? The fancy word, I believe, is "textual ghost". She technically exists, but we don't even know her name, let alone anything else about her. For fanfic writing purposes, she's a Schrödinger's OC. Evrrything about her, you gotta either make up yourself from scratch like making an OC, or borrow from someone else's fic or headcanon. So we have a background character of whom very little is known, and a character who is for all intents and purposes an OC that happens to slot into a hole in canon. So why do I ship them? Because both of them were (presumably; technically I'm not even sure if it's confirmed that CelebrĂan did but it seems the most likely option) staying at the same place during a major war that lasted the better part of a decade, and once or twice I thought about what it would be like to be in their place, waiting, far from the fighting and yet knowing that everything about your future hinges on the outcome of the war, and your loved ones are there fighting and even if the war is won you don't know whether they'll survive. And I thought about how those two characters are kinda in the same boat in that regard, and started thinking about how they'd probably talk about it and help each other bear it. And from there it just quickly evolved into shipping. I basically tricked myself into finding emotional resonance in the gaps left by outlines that weren't ever developed into full detailed stories.
So yeah, Tolkien fandom? There, if I'm in the right mood and you introduce me to the concept in the right way, you can make me ship just about anything, up to and including characters that aren't so much characters as holes where a character should go.
But then in a lot of other fandoms, that's not the case? There's some fandoms where I only ship, or could even be persuaded to ship, characters that have a fair bit of on-screen chemistry/whose dynamic is in some way fairly important in the story.
Like, BBC Musketeers? I only really ship a couple of the central canon ships and sorta Porthamis. I probably could be persuaded to ship any of the main boys, and a few major supporting characters wirh established on-screen dynamics, though
Robin of Sherwood? Honestly I barely even ship either Robin and Marion or Robert and Marion, and those are like. Canonical very plot-important ships between the main leads of the show. (Like, to be clear, I don't like mind those romances, I just wasn't super invested in them and my interest was much more in some non-romantic character dynamics and other aspects of the show). I could maybe be persuaded to ship like. some of the other major dynamics between some of the outlaws, but I'm not even sure about that.
So yeah idk it just depends so wildly from fandom to fandom that I struggle to give a definitive genersl answer. Sometimes you can just give me a theme that resonates with me and two barely existent outlines of a character to explore with it and I'll ship it, and other times even getting invested in the most central canon ship is an effort. I've yet to ever ship characters from two completely separate medias. Anyway I would say that even with fandoms where I have ships that I like toying with, shipping is never really the main angle I tend to approach the thing from
Hey, I wanna talk about how we do fandom! I've come to realize that I, personally, tend to differ from many others in that I highly prefer to only engage with a text as it's written, so I don't tend to really like fanon/extremely ooc characterizations and I find it hard to get invested in ships that aren't canon. My way of doing fandom isn't better or worse than anyone else's, but I am curious about how much of a minority I'm in! So:
*We've all seen ships of characters not from the same media and stuff like shipping the concept of ennui with the color blue, okay, I'm asking what you, personally, find compelling!

Personally I agree with you that Mithrun knew his friends were all illusions, and tbh, I think he was very okay with it
About Mithrun vs Marcille on the demon's copies of real-life people: Mithrun's desires were all related to image and self-worth, never the actual people in his dungeon. He didn't necessarily want the real thing - arguably he doesn't even like Sultha since he thought of the real one as "sketchy" - he just wanted the image of her, he wanted the image of being better than his brother, he wanted the image of having friends, etc. I believe that's why he was so okay with the demon making fake copies of his friends. It contrasts Marcille being so against the lion's attempt to make a copy of her dad. She wanted her actual father, so she strongly rejected the copy. But Mithrun didn't necessarily want Sultha, he wanted the image of her and the pride that came with her choosing him over his brother, so he likely didn't care that the demon was just making illusions. I agree with you that he was aware, at least on a subconscious level, that he was just playing pretend.
There's also that quote where it said his desire was to be safe from anyone who could harm him. It's possible that he was a bit afraid/paranoid of the real-life counterparts, and thought the illusion people couldn't possibly hurt him, so he felt safer around the fake people and ended up preferring them. This way he could have his friends and his girlfriend without the constant fear of getting hurt. He could feel wanted and important and loved without being on edge about what they secretly thought of him, or if they secretly wanted to hurt him. That's exactly what he wanted - the illusions fulfilled his desires better than the real counterparts ever could.
I don't really think it's a matter of image, there was nobody there to put on a show for, the show of having friends was before her became a dungeon lord, to me it's more that If you really believe nobody could ever love the real you, fake friends created by the demon is ok
Marcille had a father that truly loved her and friends that she wanted to protect, so it makes sense she was averse to the version made up by the demon at first, from the hints we get Mithrun had nobody he had a real connection with (here exemplified by what he thought of his teamates and the impression Milsiril had of him contrasted with the dungeon)
I don't really understand if other than Sultha the others are real canaries that ended up being driven away just like people were driven away from Thistle, I don't really put it past them to fall for the demon with the promise of a safer life where they don't have to risk their lives only to realize the downwards spiral is inescapable for the dungeon lord.
I don't think it's as important if he "really liked" Sultha or not, I think it's more related to insecurity and fear of rejection, having his brother chosen over him even tho "he's better" (the "perfect youth" image)
Mithrun was thrown away for being a bastard so being faced with the life he could have had probably broke him, I think there's some pride involved too in a twisted way but I read more like something related to "the life I wish I had", envy/jealousy like Milsiril describes. Being able to love and be loved back was never an option especially after joining the canaries
The illusion of this wasn't perfect as we can see, and with the paranoia and everything I doubt he ever really "preferred" the fakes to real life but rather it was all he had?
Idk I'm not good with words hope this made some sense, but even Marcille who said the recreation of her dad was "unnecessary" (quite the underreaction) still kept him around until the others defeated him so I don't really know what it says about Mithrun, maybe if he wasn't imprisoned into the book he could have manipulated Thistle into accepting a fake Delgal too?

genuinely i firmly believe that we are Not built for all these labels.
i'm not saying we should stop using labels or anything like that, but what i am saying is that gender and sexuality are abstract concepts, and when you try to use a shit ton of very specific and clearly defined terms to define something so abstract, it's gonna end up weird.
like idk, i could describe myself as a trans boygirl he/him she/her lesbian pansexual asexual. but its a lot easier and honestly makes more sense to just say that my gender is butch dean winchester i love people and i dont like having sex.
labels can be important at times dont get me wrong but i think sometimes they put us into boxes more than they help us, at least in the way we use and view them in queer online society rn
queer people on this site really make me feel like a confused straight guy at pride. the discourse here could kill a man

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I was listening to the Axe Man song and the line "you may have brought a gun but its Hatchetfield" got me thinking
Does every Hatchetfield musical have a gun in it? And not just like in it, like a pretty important plot point.
Charlotte with Sams gun + Henrys gun + General Macnamaras gun ("Im authoring you to use my firearm"), Lex's whole "reach into the Black and White", Grace stealing the cops gun and then Steph nearly shooting Pete with it and Grace in Working boys shooting Henry-
Idk if this is anything but it kind of felt like something you nerds would appreciate

Hello Doki!! I really admire the amount of work and detail that goes into all your pieces! If itâs not too much trouble would you ever want to share a speedpaint with us ? I really am interested in your process! Iâve been wanting to polish out my work a bit more. Ofc if thatâs not something youâd like to share or itâs a lot of trouble no worries !! Keep being awesome đ«¶
Hey đ First of all! Thank you so much! đ I'm glad you like it âš Hmmm.. I mean.. I think can share some snippets đ€ The question for me is more, if you can actually read out much from a simple speedpaint video... Cause all you will see is me lining stuff and slapping on colour đ
đ A lot of things I consider important for my drawing process don't happen on the canvas but in my layer management.. đ€đ€đ€ As in, how I organise them and which parts I put on separate layers, when I use layer masks, layer clipping, marquee/selection, blend modes, layer effects like borders, post correction of colours, etc etc..
But anyway đ Here's a 60 sec timelapse of my Wotakoi drawing. Idk.. maybe just ask in the comments if you're interesting in anything specific.. đ
đ Just fyi, I usually never record my sketching process as it's a complete mess đđ„ Also.. this is one of my lazy shading methods where I only have one shadow layer for the entire thing and then put it on colour burn or something đ
In more detailed artworks I might have separate shading layers for different parts like skin, hair, clothes etc. ^^ But yeah. Enjoy đ
#dokidoki asks#dokidoki thoughts#art#timelaspe#my drawing process.. somewhat.. sort of.. sometimes xD

I canât stop thinking about how Ian was frankâs least favorite child meanwhile he was Monicaâs favorite child and honestly thatâs one of the only qualities about her that I like. Now donât get me wrong I will never condone parents having favorites among their children but having a favorite child is the least fucked up thing Monica could have and have done to those kids.
And I canât stop thinking about one little detail in Episode 9 of season 1 that proves this. The scene where Monica and Roberta told them that they want to take Liam with them and get custody for him and Fiona started going on about how unfair and down right wrong that was after Monica abandoned them and after how much blood sweat and tears Fiona put into raising each one of them and now she suddenly wants to come back and take one of them away from them and they one they care for and love the most at that? And then she started calling out the kids names and stating how well theyâre doing in school all thanks to her (Fiona) and not Monica.
But the detail I noticed is that as she called each one of their names and their success in school we saw no reaction from Monica until Fiona got to Ian and mentioned that he was promoted into ROTC and tested out of English. You can see that Ian being able to live his dream affected her and how proud she was to hear she literally gasped and her mouth was trembling from the new set of tears and emotions she was feeling. And everytime I see that scene and I notice this it hits me so hard.
Maybe itâs because I love Ian so much and he along with Mickey are my favorite characters makes everything about Ian a big deal for me. And Iâve never really seen anyone mention this little detail before and I feel like it should be and itâs an important piece of evidence of why I think Ian is Monicaâs favorite. And it just justifies Ianâs soft spot for his mother and why he found it the hardest to let go of her and move on from her death the hardest (except for frank ofc or idk maybe more than frank) and why he cared for her so much. And ofc we canât run from the fact that the two of them understand each other more than the others in the family did. They both are part of the lgbtq+ community and they both struggle with the same mental illness (although I still think it was wrong of Monica to make Ian believe he should break up with Mickey because Mickey wouldnât understand him).
And I really have no one to talk about this to because none of my friends have watched this show so none of them would understand what Iâm rambling about right now and this is the best place to ramble about this on.
Also one of my favorite scenes has to be when Monica got Ian out of jail after that mfer Sammy called the cops on him and they went to get something to eat and Ian noticed Monica staring at him and he asks her âwhat?â And she replies with the most genuine smile Iâve ever seen on her âyouâre a beautiful man. Youâre and beautiful, beautiful man. I did great making you.â And I couldnât agree with her more.
But thatâs me rambling about whatâs been on my mind for hours now :)

Guys yall DONT know How much this shot means to meâŠ
I mean will putting his hand on Mikeâs is still very special, and a BIGG proof, but I think thereâs something more deeper about it. Everyone seeing their group hug, but what they ainât seeing their hands âholdingâ (idk how to say it differently) and their reactions to it (Mike just being flustered/confused/surprised/scared and will just leaning it(it was just prolly cuz he saw Lucas after a year and he loves to give hugs to people he cares abt).). But anyways it could be a hint for their future relationship in s5. Meaning them hiding it because they lived in the 80s (it wasnât still very accepted) but also they lived in a small town where ALMOST everyone were homophobic (seeing it in the 1 season the most).ANYWAYS, IT COULD ALSO BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRPORT SCENE. BUT HEAR ME OUT⊠Mike not being able to hug will (cuz hes running away from his feelings for will) to accepting them later in the last episodes (but knowing he still has to hide them, not from Will but from everyone else). AND IT WOULD EXPLAIN HIM LOOKING AT THEM HANDS AND ALL OF THE ACTIONS THAT HAPPENED IN LENORA & HAWKINS NOT JUST IN 4th SEASON BUT IN THE PREVIOUS ONES TOO (but mostly 3rd and 4th ofc, cuz they were older and they understood things and feelings better than in 1st and 2nd season..). Idc if somebody has thought of it, posted smth abt it. But I havenât heard anything at ALL. Like I think this is very important as the van scene after the rink-o-mania incident.. ITS SUPER IMPORTANT IF ITS TRUE AND PEOPLE JSUT DONT TALK ENOUGH ABOUT IT!! BTW Iâm really sorry for bad quality pics đđ I was going through my gallery when I came up with this and just found smth from there cuz Iâm too lazy to acc searchđ„¶đ„¶

What are your thoughts on Moominvalley's comet special?
I talked a little about it in this other ask response, but overall I was disappointed. I think it's quite telling that the part of it that made me the most emotional was the opening credits đ
Someone else said it was "underwhelming" and I think that's a good descriptor for it. The rest of the season as a whole already didn't really feel final enough to me, and you'd expect the finale to make up for that and give you that big feeling of wrapping up the whole series in a satisfying way, but it just didn't hit that mark for me.
The actual journey in the first half just wasn't as epic and exciting as I was hoping it'd be, and I think that's partially due to them using elements from Comet in previous episodes so they didn't wanna reuse them again, like the stilts (though surely they could've brought them back...). The cave Moomintroll and Snufkin end up in also feels like a missed opportunity - it's such a beautiful setting, but all they do there is panic, then see the Hemulen, then he leads them out. Idk what exactly they could've done instead, but surely there was something interesting the writers could've come up with to utilise that space more.
The way Snufkin brought up the sun oil was so awkward and forced; I know it was to establish it so that Sniff could have his whole stinky salesman arc in the latter half, but it's really weird how he explains its origin to his friends again even though all of them apart from Snork were there in Fire Spirit! Speaking of, that was a real step down for Sniff, and I would've preferred him to have an arc surrounding the kitten instead. Maybe he spends the time trying to gain its trust or something, and then at the end, finally manages to do so and rescues it to bring it back to the cave.
And speaking of the cave, I didn't like that change, either (honestly I just think I disliked most of the changes they made from the novel tbh lol. like I get they don't just wanna rehash it and want this to be new and original to an extent, but sometimes that can go too far, or just in the wrong direction). It's just really stupid for them to be like "we need to face our fear and face the comet!" it's a COMET! It's not a mysterious noise you hear in the middle of the night that you can investigate, it's a big hot rock that'll kill you all!! And then Groke moves towards it, and ~something~ happens, but this is a family show so they have her moan again at the end to show she's still alive and I love Jack but his delivery of "I'm so relieved" is so weirdly flat that it doesn't help how awkward and unnatural this ending is lmao.
Now this is more of a personal gripe, but I don't like how Snufkin is positioned at the end. When they're facing the Groke, he's right next to Moomintroll, which I like (and also brings to mind Night of the Groke when they faced her together), but then after the white flash, he's not only nowhere near Moomintroll, but not even near their friends? And he walks away WITH THE POLICE INSPECTOR?! Like thank god Joxter doesn't know he's his dad he'd have a heart attack if he found out his son was so chummy with the cops smh. You could maybe argue this isn't even just a personal complaint, and that Snufkin has objectively been one of Moomintroll's most important relationships in this series, so for them to not have some kind of moment or interaction at the end feels wrong.
Something I was going to discuss in that other ask reply but I ultimately deleted because I couldn't find the words at the time was Little My's characterisation. This season in particular made me feel as though she's so, like, mad all the time. And I understand that anger is her thing, but it's usually a cheery kind of angry, you know? But in this series she sometimes just seems so frustrated and upset and although I like that it explores the more emotionally dramatic side of her, I was hoping that by this final season at least she'd be in a more comfortable and happy place. But in this Comet special she's so exasperated and moody with Moominpappa and I wish they just made it feel more like daughter-light-heartedly-poking-fun-at-her-dad, I guess?
Snork is interesting in this special because he plays quite a big role in it, but I also feel so sorry for him cause he's always getting cut off or used by Pappa and Sniff who don't properly listen to him and I just want to give him a big (figurative bc he hates hugs) hug my poor smart boy let him infodump. There's also a moment where he says "I can explain-" and his sister says "Thanks, Snork, but we really need to carry on!" which is so obviously the writers trying to squeeze in Snorkmaiden's characterisation from the book where she's practical in the face of her brother's long-winded meetings, and is a great example of the feminism of her character there, but it just doesn't quite work the same here. Once again just not as natural as it should feel.
On a positive note, I LOVED the look of the comet itself - every shot of it looked so cool and it changed the lighting of the valley in a fun and interesting way. I also liked how Jarmo and Samuli gave the score of the episode a funky sci-fi sound, which helped set it apart as something special for the series. And despite all my negatives, it's still entertaining! It's enjoyable to watch! Just, for someone who had expectations based on the whole series and the novel, underwhelming.
#when i first watched it i was in a pretty bad mood by that point and i thought 'i cant believe they watched this in a cinema' đđ which is#a little mean in hindsight lmaooooo. and it really is a gorgeous ep#comet in moominvalley#moominvalley spoilers

hello~ I really like reading your theories on Sampo because I also have been deep diving the strangeness of his (and Aha's) existence. I'm not done reading all your theories but here are some random thoughs I wanted to drop
As a little note - I find it interesting that he has themes of love while Aha is one of the only aeons to have an explicit romantic interest (Xipe/Ena).
i also have a hard time believing the interpretations about Aha. Much of what we know about the Aeon's is second-hand. Simulations in themself are from recorded pieces of information. The records of the XL are very biased imo just due to the nature of interpretting divinity as well as the bias shown towards some dieties and against others. From what it seems like, Aha likes jokes, but almost all of his actions and the actions of his followers in the down-stream have prevent atrocities -
Rubert -
For example, during Emperor Rubert's campaign, Aha's believers kicked off another riot after the Philosopher Union was reduced to the domain of inorganic life, infecting the conqueror's computer systems with another troll virus called the "Philosopher's Poison" and overthrowing the local robot army.
Aha laughing at his death. Literally a riot, which may not have had huge impact but overthrew a whole army at a point in time when it was most important.
Soul Glad & Penacony
-Masked fools at one point released soul glad to wake up members of penacony. was said to be a joke but we all know how penacony ended. Sparkle was also in penacony with aventurine to help uncover what was going on with the family.
The Worm
-People claim aha is nonsensical because of the worm but this was in response to a spider being in the genius society.
there is also an SU occurrence that comes up every so often and when SU!Aha helps against polka where you adopt a sentient worm and try to take care of it.
I swear I saw something else about this darned worm and the genius society member #29 i believe.
-The Unshackled ( i don't remeber this event but dlkfjsd)
Another person on the XL who was a masked fool was messing with individuals who released creatures of abundance into the wild.
even the masked fools have a lot of strange details about them from outside sources, but their actions have been helpful it seems? Not to mention Sampo's eerie premonition about something horrible about to happen with Jarilo-IV.
idk to me Aha doesn't seem as nonsensical as the records make him out to be. it's like his "pranks" are taken at surface level but it's even acknowledge that he works in a butterfly-effect type of way.
hi !! đȘ thank you for taking interest in my theories â i always love when i can encourage sampo / aha brainrot!
i definitely agree with the weird quality of how aha is perceived by others; back when i had more aha!sampo theories, one of the things i thought about the most was how⊠different aha!sampo seemed to be than how aha is usually depicted by groups like the masked fools!
even though my theories have shifted a bit, i still think the way âmortalsâ in hsr view âimmortalsâ (aeons) may not be entirely accurate unless youâre talking to an emanator or an aeon themself. (for example, iâm not super inclined to assume the parable of ahaâs rise to aeonhood is based on fact since it was created and spread by the masked fools, and seems to confirm their pre-existing beliefs!)
while itâs entirely possible that aha acts exactly like others expect them to, i think itâs also just as likely that they donât. like you said at the end, aha very much seems to operate in a âbutterfly effectâ way, meaning their plans may seem incomprehensible or âsurface-levelâ to others, when in reality they are operating with the higher machinations of a god! i feel like the only way to know for sure is to actually meet them â or at least speak to an emanator, which iâm hoping sampo is / was.
i also agree that the masked fools (and especially sampo) have helped us out quite a bit, despite their proclivity for fanaticism. as with aha, i think it can be easy to assume they are only invested in surface-level chaos, but with penacony shaking out the way it did, i think they arenât quite as bad as a lot of people in-universe make them out to be. theyâre chaotic, sure, and i absolutely believe they are capable of doing messed up things in the name of their cause, but theyâre also just as likely to end up helping someone in the process.
basically, wild cards are wild cards â they can be good and bad, and just as capable of planning things out meticulously as not!
also, i havenât run across that worm occurrence but man i really want to now !! it sounds super interesting â especially the adoption part! honestly, i think the worm is a great example of how complex aha as a character and aeon is. itâs difficult to wade through the different perspectives of aha (as mentioned earlier) to reach an objective course of events, but it seems that aha had both intent and knowledge when creating the worm.
for a while, i too considered the worm to be completely random and surface-level, probably because of how absurd the idea is. however, me being me and analyzing literally everything into pieces, i eventually realized that it was different than iâd originally thought.
i feel like thereâs a layer of plausible deniability when thinking of the worm as a random, chaotic joke; aha isnât really seen as an aeon so much as a glorified cosmic child, unaware of the consequences of their actions. but again, as weâve been talking about, thatâs not really how they operate. itâs a lot more unsettling to think about the fact that the worm was premeditated â aha created a sentient being knowing it couldnât survive without them, and once that being failed to accomplish what they wanted, they tossed it aside to die. they knew, and they did it anyways.
to me, aha seems to have a striking amount of thought put into some of the âjokesâ they do. i have no doubt they do things on impulse as well, but especially considering doll!sampo and how the elation seems to be âguidingâ the trailblazer in a way, it also seems like aha has a complex understanding of how events will play out. very interesting stuff !!
anyways, thanks for theorizing with me & thanks for letting me ramble LOL, i have a lot of thoughts about mr. sampo and aha !!

35 hour mark:
Iâm level forty now and there is still no good armor lmao
The shop keeper in the crow hangout is gone - Iâm not sure if itâs because of the decision I made to help minrathus or something else but I still wanted to buy stuff there
The treatment of the Dalish is somehow worse in this game than it has been in all previous games and idk how on earth they managed that but honestly Iâm just tired
The Qunari are still oppressive and bigoted and faceless, we are mostly dealing with the Antaam but even so Iâm bored of all the Qunari related missions because itâs all Qunari = bad. Iâve probably killed more Qunari in this game than darkspawn. Even telling Taash to embrace their Qunari heritage almost feels like the bad choice
I have had the exact same banter pop up a lot. Iâve heard the same banter between Harding and Taash at least three times
im trying not to be too negative because dragon age is my hyperfixation and I really want this game to be good and I know people who follow me are enjoying it but I am not - Iâm honestly very bored with the quests including the main story ones. Solas is the most important character in this whole game and somehow I still find him boring here
Mythal and solas definitely did it and would do it again I am so sorry to the solavellans
neveâs line delivery is so strange. I donât think itâs the fault of the actress but her line coordinator because at all times she sounds like she doesnât give a fuck LMAO (honestly real)
Some of the armors on the NPCs are so bad and not because the armors are bad but I feel like the bodies were only done for their main armor design and nothing else
I can tell Cullenâs writer wrote Neveâs romance (affectionate)
Davrin needs to stop looking at me with those big beautiful eyes of his because I must stay focused
The inquisitor needs to stop sending me missives because each one is just glazing me for my achievements and itâs messing up my canon because Asma would not say any of this. Where is my mean inquisitor representation
I got this armor for Taash and I thought it was the best armor in the game and then I spun her around and she has no pants. Sigh.
There is a lot of reused art and assets from inquisition which isnât necessarily a bad thing but itâs like why are there apostate tents from the hinterlands in the middle of tevinter.
Varric has absolutely no purpose but to tell you youâre doing a good job and then leave two seconds later. Iâm sorry he should either be dead or just not here because he has no point to him at the moment
10 hour mark for DATV:
Neve is probably my favorite companion so far (who couldâve seen that coming)
The dialogue is a littleâŠodd. Especially between companions. It just kinda feels like everyone gets along and disagreements never impact the story in an substantial way
Antiva is beautiful but WOW it was buggy for me
Morrigan is wayyy too nice. And âmy old friend solasâ? There has to be some lore reason for this we find out. Where is my mean wife
The soundtrack sometimes feels incredibly out of place but other times itâs great - I liked it best in Arlathan!
Thereâs only one part Iâve been through so far I would count as âdark and grittyâ and it was over way too quickly.
#bioware critical#putting all of these underneath a read more for the length and general negativity because I know not everyone wants to see that

okay listen. I get the urge to talk about my favorite life series ship like it's Canon in every season...BUT. THAT HAS NEVER ONCE BEEN THE CASE.
Yes, Jimmy would be upset if Tango canaried (technical scientific term for that). Everyone would be- even I would be, and I've never watched a single one of his videos. Canarying sucks, and it hurts. Of course I would be upset. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I THINK JIMMY WOULD BREAK DOWN SOBBING FROM A CHARACTER STAND POINT. They have had only like... THREE on screen interactions. One is Tango murdering a man infront of Jimmy and another is Tango cheerfully burning down something one of Jimmy's teammates worked very hard on. WildLifeChara!Jimmy has more reason to hate or be afraid of WildLifeChara!Tango than to be madly in love with him.
I promise you, if Tango had offered Jimmy a life instead of Ren, people wouldn't shut up about for MONTHS. But, because it's Ren, somehow the interaction isn't NEARLY as homoerotic??? I understand having NOTP's, but the Jimmy/Ren ship doesn't even show up ONCE on ao3. Zero fics. ZE-RO. There's no reason to hate something that doesn't even exist.
This same concept applies for Flower Husbands as well- not just in Wild Life, and Secret Life and Limited Life and Last Life and Real Life though- in Empires.
I have no clue about Empires Season 1, but they barely interacted in Empires Season 2- and yet the amount of ship art I sift through on a weekly basis for my side blog is actually insane. Yeah, the few interactions WERE important, but I think Scott only flirted (in video) with Jimmy maaybbeeee three times. I have no idea what the count of that for streaming is, but I swear it is not enough to keep that number so inflated.
Although, honestly, this problem might just be affecting me because of my personal view on shipping- if it's in a context where it doesn't make sense for the characters to be romantically engaged, I won't read it or write it.
For example, my beloved Solidwood! I mostly get their vibes or read their fics from the following series: Evo, Last Life, New Life, Empires2, Secret Life. That's because those settings make sense! They are active, they are engaged, they have near constant interactions or very close base locations. It makes SENSE for them to be shipped. However, if you showed me art or fic of them in, say, Limited Life, I'd furrow my brow and tilt my head and say "no, that doesn't do anything for me." BECAUSE THEY HAVE ZERO REASON TO BE INVESTED ROMANTICALLY IN ONE ANOTHER THERE, AS A STAND ALONE SETTING.
Most of the major Jimmy ships, though, don't follow this rule. I can understand loving a ship so much you want to see it everywhere- but, I promise you, stepping back and looking at which characters actually have chemistry regarding the new setting and social system will do wonders... you won't have to think of new Au's to insert your favorite ship into a new setting... all ships will be your favorite ship (unless they give you the ick). Join the multishiper hivemind /j
No but honestly it's gotten to the point where I will like or dislike a creator/character of theirs by what ship is their most popular given the context of the setting. Like, Tango in Double Life? Awww the sweetie!! I love him :) and then Tango in Empires2 sets off alarm bells in my brain screaming at me. He is NOT meant to be here bringing that ship here, this is NOT its territory. Same problem for Scott in nearly damn near every SMP both Jimmy and him are in... except Wild Life because he's actually been pretty nice and not condescending or forcing on Jimmy. I guess also power imbalances in how fans view them is a major no-go for me...
Idk if you read this whole thing thanks I guess... for anymore needed context I am a Jimmy rarepair obsessed multishiper.
TLDR; Lots of ships are not applied to series while fans think about the world and social context, which gives OP the ick. I'm also not policing ships I'm just beginning people to please either understand in setting context or list their AU details in the summaries of the fics. This goes hand in hand with misinterpreting characters in writing also... the more ships you like the more characters you will get to writing!!!!
#Realized why the reason some creators leave a bad taste in my mouth is because their main ship's fanbase#Shoves that ship into everything. Even places it shouldn't be. For example a crazy amount of the Jimmy empires fics#Are au's of Esmp1 where Tango rules a kingdom in the Nether. Yeah its a fun idea but if it dominates HALF of the tags its...#It's just kinda spam at that point. He's not even in that smp and I'll bet Tango is tagged more than one of the Canon emperors#And the nearly the other half of Jimmy Empires fics are god damn FLOWER HUSBANDS. YOU CANT ESCAPE THEM#And also Scott even shoves the ship on Jimmy. Did you not SEE THEIR INTERACTION IN REAL LIFE???#JUST REALIZES THATS WHY I WAS ABLE TO READ A FLOWER HUSBANDS FIC ONCE.BEVAUSE THE WRITER MADE THEM SEEM LIKE EQUALS#fandom discourse#fandom discussion#shipping discourse#shipping discussion#creacheurspeacher#ship and let ship#life series#life smp#trafficblr#solidaritygaming#jimmy solidarity#traffic smp#scott smajor#smajor1995#tangotek#wildlife smp#trafficshipping#long post#rant post#shipping rant#flower husbands#the ranchers#solidwood

Here's some reasons to write/love Percy x Penelope x Oliver
@guess1mjustheren0w, this is for you :)
OKAY, so basically we know that Oliver and Percy are both extremely passionate about their (subjects? hobbies? y'know what i'm talking about). They both want to be the top, BUT, they aren't competing. We also don't ever hear any mention of anyone else in their grade level.
Percy is especially stuck up and Oliver is kind of all over the place (not when it comes to quidditch, but just life in general). From this, we can assume that they probably argued quite a bit, or at least until they got used to each other. This means that their passion clashes in a contained environment, causing tension.
This is kind of the base of Percy x Oliver, kind of an Enemies to Lovers vibe, but also a forced proximity.
THEN for Percy and Penny, Percy isn't quite introverted, but not quite extroverted, while I headcanon that Penny is more on the extroverted side. Penelope brings out the "rebellious" or more laidback side of Percy, while he bring out the more thoughtful or peaceful side of her.
I'm not really sure how to explain it but kind of imagine a scene where they're in a dorm, no one else around, there's a fire going, it's super cozy, they're laying down and Percy is talking about something he's super passionate about. Penny is just looking up at him with that gaze, the one where it's just full of love, and she's just smiling and they're happy.
Percelope (Percy x Penelope) is more of a sweet, dancing in the rain, running through fields sort of ship. They match each others intellectual abilities and are just so cute.
FINALLY, Penny and Oliver. I don't know the ship name but I definitely see potential. Most of it does revolve around Percy, but i think that makes a ship with all three of them work even better.
So Penny and Oliver are both really important people in Percy's life. They both love him very much and with the other one still in the picture, I think they'd first kind of hate each other. Not really hate actually, more like a strong rivalry.
They both want Percy, and are both going to get what they want. They probably argue a lot, they glare at each other, they make snarky remarks and comments, but at the end of the day, that's what fuels their relationship.
Penny and Oliver have a Rivals to Lovers vibe. They like to rib each other about things, but their rivalry converts into fiery passion (that sounds weird but idk what else to call it) over time.
I feel like they have the kind of love that it's like two teammates in a sport, they both play the same position and are equally as good. It's like that moment right before the game when they look at each other and just smirk and say "i'll score more point a than you", but in the end, they both win because they're on the same team.
They both love the sport (percy), but they love each other equally as much.
All of them fit together because they all balance each other out. Percy's want, combined with Oliver's need, and Penelope's desire, it all balances out. They're like different version of the same person, but they're different enough, so that they still understand each other, but aren't the same person with the same personalities.
So yeah, that's it! If you write something, let me know what it's called! :)
I'll also try to find the post that made me think of it bc i think it does a great job of describing it pretty well!
