As an avid lover of his Dark Materials I have yet to see a BG3 daemons concept and that is a Crime. So here are some Thoughts below the cut :)
(Also something something about the representation of religion in HDM and how it correlates to BG3's depictions of faith and trauma. I have the Idea but I am too tired to do much with it; may return to the thought later.)
Shadowheart- a borzoi. Elegant, spooky looking, dramatic. Borzoi don't make much vocal noise but are very playful- instincts surpressed by Sharrens that thrive with the party (see that very cute night orchid scene specifically). Generally very sweet, loyal animals, like SH when you get to know her. Plus they look amazing.
(Act 3 spoilers- I also appreciate that she'll match it when she dyes her hair. Seems suitable dramatic for her.) Anyways, I also really like borzois and think it's be funny af to see in them trotting around in game like the weird willow tree ghost things they are.
Lae'zel- Githyanki don't have daemons; she finds them baffling. Very impractical to carry one's soul on the exterior, although perhaps an efficient companion in combat to have someone you share instincts with. After much discussion by the others she decides for them if she did have one it would be a red dragon. Nobody argues with that.
(She does decide she'd have to prove herself worthy of such a beast first, and if she trusts Tav admits that maybe she'd like if Vlaakith could give her a daemon bond with her future dragon. Would she get a dragon if she became Vlaakith's chosen? Idk, she would now.)
Karlach- Tieflings also don't have daemons. She wants one wholeheartedly. The party finds her a magic ring that allows her to summon a familiar- she gets a direwolf puppy as enthusiastic and adoring as she is :)
Said ring is obtained somewhere in the Shadowlands after she gets the cooldown upgrade so she can hug it as soon as she has it. Also it grows up absolutely massive. Its paws are the size of its head when it's a puppy. All the better for cuddling with!
Gale- Tara. Wizards, sorcerers, etc, tend to have magical creatures as familiars. This AU he had Tara since the beginning. He still summoned all the other weird shit he did as a kid, just with Tara's help. She is his voice of reason and holder of the braincells; he gets to keep one and it's all about Mystra. She's protecting the rest from its corruption. He gets them back when the party convinces him to tell Mystra to go fuck herself.
(I do chew upon the trans Gale headcanon sometimes. If anyone wishes to muse with me on how daemons, which are typically of the opposite sex to their human, would be incorporated into that, please do.) Edit- pls see comments for very illuminating interpretations of daemons and gender!! Very cool stuff!
Wyll- lanner falcon. Medium sized yet formidable bird of prey, the head of which was often depicted on Egyptian gods like Ra and Horus. Beautiful, noble and nimble creatures (good for a dexterity based build, which I focused on for him alongside charisma).
Mizora's pact significantly lengthened their tether; her devil-form punishment broke it and weakened their bond significantly, much to their distress- they hate to be out of vision of one another as a result. Halsin, Jaheira and especially my Tav Cerewyn helped him adapt to and understand the new tether.
Druids and their daemons are based on the His Dark Materials witches, who have significantly lengthened bonds. Druid bonds are just as strong in markedly different ways; each is more independent and their personalities more distinct. I will definitley expand more on this; I adore Wyll and really want to do his character justice. He's the knight in shining armour but he also made a deal with a devil to be said knight, so, y'know. His daemon should really reflect that complexity.
Astarion- luna moth (changed when he turned- he can't remember what she was before.)
Beautiful in a fragile, showy way. Short-lived. Desperate for the light. A silkmoth; silk for embroidery. He resents her for being such a reflection of the self he tries so desperately to hide yet is fiercely protective of her, so beautiful and soft and hopeful- moths exist to seek light, craving it like he longed for a knight in shining armour, like he yearns for the sun.
Cazador liked to pin her wings.
(I love my sad wet cat very much and so as payback for hurting my soul he is subjected to the tragedy that is my attempting to be poetic :) )
Halsin- bear. Druid daemons reflect their favoured Wild shapes. Strong, steady, reliable, protective. Optimal shape for snuggles, very nice and warm, overall :) vibes to look at and be around. (Bear is not present for That Scene. That Scene and daemons are not up for discussion, you degenerates. Thank you <3)
Jaheira- Eurasian lynx. Struggled a bit on this one- didn't think any of the wild shapes suited her as a daemon- so looked up the national animal of Romania (supposedly Jaheira's accent?) for potential inspiration. Got the lynx, which seems perfect. Medium sized, elegant, very dignifed and deadly hunters who inhabit forests. Notably very quiet and hard to track. Endangered, which resonated with me because of Jaheira's status as one of the last of the Old Guard, so to speak. Nocturnal, which I like because we meet Jaheira in the shadow-cursed lands. Ambush predator, which just goes with my Gloom Stalker build for her. Overall seems perfect for the legendary druid.
Minsc- Boo? Fuck knows man, Minsc gonna Minsc. I spent way too long thinking about Jaheira and now I don't have the energy left. If Gale can have Tara, Minsc can have Boo. I do love Minsc so I will be back to expand on him if the mood strikes me but also I think maybe I don't need to? Daemon Boo just seems Right. Will consult Minsc's backstory and update later if necessary.
Minthara- yet to recruit her so uncertain. Displacer beast seems apt, maybe? Something felinoid would really fit her tbh. Elegant and lethal, very aloof but loyal once you've got her. Input would be appreciated.
My Tav, Cerewyn, just in case ya'll are interested- a raven named Gwyn, short for something I haven't figured out how to spell yet.
Clever, calculating, very blunt and sarcastic to balance out Cere's generally stoic, quite, calm demeanour. Sharp eyed bird for a sharpshooter ranger's daemon. Cere is a beast master ranger/ druid of land multiclass; ravens are summonable both for wild companions and familiars and are a wild shape (Cere's preferred wild shape too).
A common species but not to be underestimated and generally unpredictable, which suits her. She romances Astarion and both she and the raven think he and his luna moth are the prettiest things they've ever seen. They're also very patient and perceptive of trauma due to (Extensive Backstory), so they're more than happy to take their time with earning his trust. Astarion is very appreciative of all the shiny things the raven likes to bring him, and also that it clawed one of Cazador's eyes out for daring to speak to Astarion like That.
CONC.; symbolism is fun and also painful :)
Daemon names are a work in progress; the muses gave me this then said lol nope and fucked off before I could ask them for appropriate names. Might post them with some sketches of the party and daemons together?
(I wrote this in Notes app at an ungodly hour with fuck all editing. It is incoherent, but if anything is genuinely incomprehensible, please tell me so I may at least try to fix it. Much love <3 if you made it this far you get to know I welcome suggestions for NPCs to give daemons next!)
First edit- I misspelled quiet so many times omfg

Haiii!!!! Elloo!!!
Im back with your semi annual Robo Mace wip :0000
Finally was able to expand upon an idea cooking in my mind for a good bit which was a kinda battle mask (Basically whenever conflict is engaged their “human” mouth would be covered with this extravagant layer o’ metal to protect em!)
Practical considering they’re mostly made up of metal?
Absolutely not
Cool?
ABSOLUTELY
Anyways thats literally the whole wip.
Ive redrawn that same pose like five million times on different canvases with every attempt so ive made like zero progress 💀
But now that I have your attention I wanted to expand on Mace’s lore cuz I feel like it and I think i promised to make a post about it
So.
I dont know about any of you you guys-
I personally feel like Darcy the core and Alderitch coulda be so much cooler!
Like dont get me wrong. I like Darcy design wise! They’ve literally been living in my head rent free ever since their first teaser! (It’s a blessing and a curse please send help hshshHahabbfnsuaha)
But I personally feel like plot wise they were kinda lacking :(
And the idea of a bucha a n c i e n t newts consciousnesses invading a 13/14 year old kids mind forcefully is kinda…gross.
So.
I was brainstorming and came up with this:
When the core was first teased. Back in the ye olde days in the pre True colors when the fandom called it the Night-
Im not the only one that thought it was some sorta god right?
A giant mass of orange eyes that a powerful King that ruled for thousands of years kneels down to and calls “Master?”
Idk about you but that gives off omnipotent eldritch horror vibes to me.
So I basically took that concept and expanded upon that and incorporated bits of the lore that Andrias dropped about his kind.
Specifically about how he said that his kind were conquerers.
Why?
Sure. It could purely be a generational trauma thing.
His father did it. His father’s father did it. And his father’s father’s father did it as well.
That could be the end of it.
No one really knows why they conquer and enslave races other than “tradition.”
Maybe Andrias only mentions it all is so he can bask in his triumph. To feel a deluded sense of pride in his lineage for finally being able to continue the work of his forefathers after thousands of years of resentment and regret planted in his mind by his own father that twisted and corrupted his perception on reality.
Maybe Matt just thought those sequences up on the spot and they sorta made sense.
Theres alotta maybes and to my knowledge thats about the extent of it
But im not satisfied with that
So I took that concept. The conquering inter dimensional newts and elevated it.
The core was never a series of Newtopia’s “greatest minds.”
It was always an omnipotent being.
An all seeing all knowing all powerful elderitch horror that is always hungry.
Thats why Andrias’ ancestors invaded other worlds!
Whether it was out of fear or necessity or a deal made with the devil
The reason they invaded is because the core is always hungry. And it needed to feed. So they sacrificed whole worlds to the core just to satiate its ravenous appetite.
And it would explain why in the last season Amphibia was being siphoned for all its resources
Not only was it for the factories, the frobo army, and the mind control devices
It was to stave off the cores hunger until the invasion of earth could surpass
And I didnt forget about all those newts that died and had their brain transferred to the core originally oh nonono
They still sacrificed themselves. But not to join the core or become anything greater. Despite what they believed or what they were promised by the core, Alderitch and all those newts who made up the canon core were nothing more than willing sacrifices to the cores endless hunger. They realistically died for nothing.
So. With this concept/au/rewrite/whatever solves alot of the inconsistencies in the plot and also gets rid of the gross old newts in 13 year olds brain plot
Lemme know what you think of this concept! Im open to criticism and any ideas anyone is willing to share and will do my best to respond to em!

I'm sick and i have a massive headache so here's some Pizza Tower AU ideas i thought of while in pain
Feel free to yoink these and expand upon them if you want
Everything's the same except Gustavo goes to deal with the tower while Peppino stays behind in the pizzeria just in case he gets customers (spoilers, he doesn't). Gustavo gets help from either Mr. Stick or Burton (idk much about Burton but i think that'd be a neat idea). Also i think it'd be cute if Gus gave Pep like. A family heirloom or something as a promise that he'll be back. Like, maybe a ring or something. And Peppino just wears it around his neck so he doesn't lose it. I mean, his pockets could have holes in them ya know. Also i think Gus would befriend the enemies, or at least Fakey. I can imagine him entering the stage and seeing Fakey standing there with his back to him and thinking it's Peppino for a second and when Fakey approaches and doesn't attack him, he just. Sits with him and talks.
PT but Stanley Parable with Pizzahead/Pizzaface as the Narrator, Peppino as Stanley, Gustavo and Brick as the emotional support bucket, and Pepperman as the Curator. That's all i could think of lol
Peppino's dreams can be entered and once someone's in there they can't get out before they didn't complete some kind of objective. When he wakes up they're trapped until he falls asleep again. Now here's the thing. If they die in the dream, you guessed it, they die irl. This doesn't apply to Peppino tho, if he dies he just wakes up. For example, if he gets stabbed, he'll wake up, but with pain on the spot where he got stabbed. And to make things even more difficult, Peppino has frequent nightmares, often about the war. So now imagine the PT cast hopping into Peppino's mind (or getting trapped there), and one by one they die in his dreams, and in the end they're all missing. Or if we wanna make things less angst heavy, the others can influence his dreams and make them nicer. Maybe they have some kinda powers? Like i could imagine Pepperman with maybe a magical paintbrush that can bring the things he draws to life or change the environment. Gus could have control of nature maybe. Mr. Stick could fly (cause of the propeller hat) idk man I'm in pain
Siren AU. Peppino is human, everyone else is a siren/mermaid/other sea creature. Maybe some of them can transform like in Luca. I want Pep and Gus to either be friends already, but Pep doesn't know about Gus being a sea creature, or they meet when Pep almost drowns while fishing and Gus brings him to the surface again. Also am i gonna be predictable and turn Fakey into a frog or do i turn him into something different? How about an oarfish? Not entirely sure what to do with Pizzahead/Pizzaface, maybe there's like. A turf war going on between some of the creatures or something idk. And Pizzahead is the leader. Pizzaface could be a stingray lol. Or one of those flat fish. Anyway in the end Peppino can somehow end the conflict

After playing some Children of The Sun (very neat game) I had a cotl au idea
-Lamb is in a position similar to the protagonist of that game (all the lambs and their family die from the bishops, that is the motive)
-Narinder gives them, or her, I kinda like narilamb as yuri, the crown in an attempt to point their revenge the way he wants it to go. Lamb accepts their fate as the killer of the bishops because that’s what they wanted anyway.
-Lambs want for revenge crystallizes into the bullet they shoot and control after ya know watching their kind and loved ones die badly
-Bishops die, cult following happens, Lamb is rather soft spoken with the cult but still puts up a kind sunny front.
-Lamb cares for cult members a lot, just is somewhat detached. Not in the way Narinder wants, cause Lamb won’t be controlled like that anymore.
-Likely forking path, Lamb going from revenge to either like bloodlust and hatred, or moving on and helping their “new family” (cult members, Narinder, revived bishops) (A bullet for revenge will either find more targets or fly though their targets into the sky, it all depends on who holds the gun.)
-Narinder thinks sort of little of lamb for a bit, or merely as a tool. But will eventually get surprised by the sheer like, bloodlust or willingness to kill the Lamb actually has likely though Narinder seeing Lamb at feverish work in the field killing the bishops cultists and bishops again.
-Lamb does not return the crown and they fight. Neither necessarily wins, and in a strange tie the crown chooses both of them.
-Nari initially is enraged, Lamb is confused. But it eases Naris burden they find, and Lamb keeps their abilities granted to them. They are forced to work the cult together which Lamb doesn’t mind, Nari begrudgingly accepts and only to himself grows to somewhat enjoy as he has not had life to tend to in a long time since imprisonment.
-Said imprisonment was because in this au (idk why in main game) he wanted to be also the god of rebirth. Back when he was sweeter (bg3 durge line) he grew weary of being death, his siblings saw this as a potential usurpation of his role when he merely wanted to expand it somewhat.
-This ends up coming in the form of the lamb, the resurrection of followers is a crown power that came from their bearing, that is shared back to him upon the two brows
-Nari’s cruelty and anger in this au is from his imprisonment and betrayals sure, but that ebbs somewhat. Lamb on the other hand had the anguish and pain of uncounted souls filtered through them with the slaughter of the lambs. It’s only natural that something like that makes a person crack. Nari gets more time to process even if it’s not a good time, Lamb gets none.
Tldr Lamb as the one who can easily be the scary silent type while Nari is a little more mopey/sad instead of angery and aggro sounds like a fun twist, also Lamb with a sniper violently and efficiently taking out cultists would instantly snatch Naris attention methinks
Open to interpretation and change and whatnot, if you feel like scooping this au up or whatever feel free to lmao take off w/ it if it piques ur fancy
Addendum for those with amv brains, I can like see in my minds eye a little amv to this song (below) of lamb going on just a like, just a warpath of blood and smoke, with little cuts of Narinder talking to someone maybe a bishop saying he doesn’t feel lamb is fit for much violence given the way he’s seen them act. And he is told he is simply wrong and has not been paying attention. And in a cut back to lamb they recognize a cultist that like razed their village or killed loved ones before them, before they had the crown, and they just like basically tap into bishop mode out of sheer anger and violent hatred just to make the death as agonizing and bloody as possible. Hope this gets through :3👍✨

current album ideas for the witnesses au:
turf war. grian is in fact present but he's not mother spore... explicitly (he totally is and it's lowkey implied, but he vehemently denies it). scar's there
life series. it's not multiple seasons, instead mechanical elements and particularly heart wrenching moments are taken from all seasons and sort of, mashed together. not every single event that canonically happens is present in the album bc that's how world building works
asmp? maybe? idk i haven't watched it yet
for sure some empires stuff, but again, i haven't watched any
i'm still undecided on dsmp. on one hand it's impact on the wider minecraft community and culture is undeniable and also there's some juicy stuff in there that i could easily turn into a mechs album, but on the other hand. that's a whole can of beans i'm not fond of trying to dissect into parts i'm comfortable with and parts i'm not comfortable with. maybe they just have one single song from the dsmp and it's about michael_b. or something
ttbt 1: moon big (mumbo's origin song), soup group (partially ren origin but focusing mainly on the soup group), bsmp sunshipduo, evo/watchers (grian origin), pearl double life, deepfrost citadel (tango origin)
ttbt 2: zombie virus (cleo origin), flight sim war thing with skizz (impulse origin), empires/hc crossover (time travel) (false origin mentioned but not elaborated upon), hotguy cuteguy thing (maybe swan song esque?), potato war (this one's real epic. also i guess technoblade is now canon to witnesses), bdub's weird king thing (always an angel never a god etc etc)
feel free to like. expand upon these, or come up with new ideas to add to this list. and on the off chance that someone actually would like to write something for this au i give you full permission to be inspired by this list or whatever. i also would've liked to include like, actual mcyt legends, as in like old school smps and stuff, but alas i wasn't around back then so idk anything.

Camp Jupiter Reimagined
(It took me the uppermost(?) of two days to write this because of school-)
In the last post I was ranting in I mentioned a lot of a project I was doing to Re-Imagine Camp Jupiter (and maybe share my re-imagining of the whole PJO concept and the characters- does that qualify as an AU? Maybe, I don’t know. But I like the world and I like being able to branch off existing concepts and make my own interpretations).
Some set dressing before I get into this; I love Camp Jupiter and the greater PJO franchise and world-building. It’s pretty well-done in my opinion, and it’s how Rome became one of my special interests (or maybe it just added to my greater Greco-Roman world interest and I just really like Rome) *But* how Camp Jupiter and New Rome is done just kind of feels a little underwhelming. It’s super cool and a great concept, and it fits. But I feel like New Rome and Camp Jupiter weren’t really thought out, just kind of happened and then we all just accepted it. Now; I’ll probably update some opinions when I read ToA (I’m currently reading the Iliad, Odyssey, and Aeneid beforehand) but characterization doesn’t feel consistent to what is told before. There are things I don’t see happening; like an example being the legion being shrunk to 5 cohorts (Roman legions had 10). While that is for plot reasons to not make Camp and the Legion huge for reasons. We are told that Romans dislike change to the point they had a *mutiny* over a *name change* for the legion. But I have to hold my disbelief that they would *get rid of 5 cohorts*! So I decided that I would just Re-Imagine Camp Jupiter (and the Campers, and down the line PJO in general). So uh; here is some of the things I’ve defined in my brain for my re-imagination of the Camp/legion,
things, all the things,
I added back the 5 removed cohorts; HOWEVER, what I chose to do that made sense in my brain was make cohorts 6-10, *outposts* or Roman settlements around the Americas. They are mainly used in my mind for scouting, expanding the glory of the New Roman Republic (not a Empire for now, maybe a future fanfic, idk). But they’re there to scout out areas, help transport demigods across borders to the main camp, etc.
Along with that I decided they all had SETTLEMENTS (little tiny towns) that had thematic naming to it (still deciding on that)
Speaking of which; the outposts aren’t really respected; at least not how like the main 5 are respected. Sure they do important things, but no one takes them *as* seriously
They also act as reinforcements (auxiliary troops?) but I’d assume it would go; main 5 cohorts, 5 outposts, and then the veterans. In how they are called upon.
Maybe there is some conflict on the leaders (the Consuls? I think, I’m writing this while still doing research and while everything is still in the primordial soup stage) of the outposts divided on helping Octavian or if he didn’t assume power correctly and therefore wasn’t the leader of the legion.
It adds a sense of more overwhelming dread to facing Camp Jupiter in the big battle (which; I will be kind of mixing up) because in my idea it’s a bigger body of groups. We get a more ominous build-up of slowly watching and having to just hear or see in visions more cohorts (which the outposts are smaller than the main cohorts; I figure that’s also important) slowly congealing together with very shaky loyalty to Octavian. Being slightly disjointed from each other and the main cohorts.
Along with that; if I do like re-imagine HoO (which; would mostly be character work in my opinion, I don’t have *too* many qualms with the plot. I’ll probably say more when I get around to that). But if I do re-imagine and like half edit-half fanfic through the books I would love to include a Camp Jupiter POV in at least from MoA onwards, but that’s random here uhhh cohorts-
I’ve sort-of re-categorized the Cohorts (might also take some inspiration from what we know of the legions that share the same number in personality, if that makes sense?)
But each Cohort gets a sort of more defined personality to each other rather than the sort of muddled greater characterization we have for the groups in canon. (I’ll probably have another post that goes more in-depth on the ‘personalities’ of the cohorts)
Main 5 cohorts
First Cohort; I decided that this was going to be a very selective group in who gets accepted into the Cohort. I decided that along with a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation, legionnaires have to show some outstanding quality to them that the first Cohort wants (this takes from the ‘elite troop’ idea with the first *legion* and I needed a way to differentiate the 1st and 2nd, while this also plays off of all the 1st cohort legionnaires being said they had *something* special about them; Octavian and his talking stuff and prophecy, and Michael Kahale for uh, football and being giant? I’ll workshop it) while this of course means the 1st cohort is on the smaller side; they make up for it in general prowess and ability. On the rarest of rare occasions (like Jason, or maybe even Percy for my re-imagining) the first cohort will try and request recruits to join their legion (there’s probably a technical term, but basically what Dakota did for Percy in SoN; I’ll have to re-read HoO) but this isn’t a very common occurrence.
Second Cohort; I really like my concept of the Second cohort because it just really amuses me- simply put, their the rejects from the first cohort. Snobby kids who had good letters of Recommendation and were looking to ride off the coattails of their relatives. They are the ones with recommendation letters but nothing too crazy and special about them that makes it reasonable for the 1st Cohort to want them.
Third cohort; I decided on a whim that the third cohort would be the kids that are SUPER into the fighting parts of Camp; training? They’re down, the War Games? they want to win, they will win. They aren’t too into the political side of camp, they mostly are there for protecting their home.
Fourth Cohort; the fourth cohort is the one I have been purposely putting off characterizing Specifically because of the Camp Jupiter classified book where the protag is 4th cohort and I want to read that before making my conclusions. But if anyone currently were to ask me, they’re the trouble makers :]
Fifth Cohort; I kept the characterization of the Fifth cohort being the ‘rejects’. The unwanteds, however I decided to include the fifth cohort taking in legionnaires that had to get transferred cohorts. They are the largest cohort and there is a very varying personality to the cohort but the general idea is ‘Everyone doesn’t like us but hey, at least we can hold a sword :]’
Five outpost cohorts
My fan created cohorts based on concepts I discussed earlier on in this post :]
I chose in these to keep them relatively away from any important areas that are in the books (why Cohort six isn’t close to someplace like Quebec, or why the Eight cohort isn’t on an Puerto Rico or an island super close to Puerto Rico)
On that note; let it be known that these Outpost Cohorts also do help find legionnaires (i mention it in some of the descriptions for the cohorts)
These cohorts are much, much more rough around the edges currently because I’m still in the primordial soup and research stage; these are the roughest concepts for these Cohorts. I will first then out more… hopefully.
Cohort Six; the sixth cohort i decided would currently be stationed in Canada (I decided it would be in Canada so I could have a Frank tie-in and because I needed one in the north that wasn’t in Alaska) I also currently have the outpost at Great Bear Lake; close to Port Radium and Cameron Bay; though that might change. While the cohort is there with the Settlement New Britannia (name may be subject to change)
Seventh Cohort; The Seventh Cohort, which is considered the ‘best’ out of the outpost cohorts, located at the Sierra de pénjamo mountains in Mexico; along with the ‘New Hispania’ settlement. They deal with a lot of monster outbreaks along the equator.
Eighth Cohort; located on the Inagua Islands (I chose the larger one with Lake Rosa though might be changed) unlike the Seventh; the Eighth is the outcast of the legion; being the legions big naval force that deal with the islands on the east of South America, settlement possibly called ‘New Hispania Balearica’
Words about the ninth and tenth cohort; I had a sub the day I was working on their notebook pages so I don’t have very set locations for them.
Ninth Cohort; located in, somewhere Brazil. Meant to scout the eastern side of South America not including the islands
Tenth cohort; The tenth cohort is located in somewhere, Argentina. Does what Ninth does but just for the west side of South America
——————
Aaaaaaah, so sorry for the drop in quality at the last two but I’ve been writing this for like 2-3 days, I’ll write more about (probably Octavian) and my Camp re-imagining

i think in the witch/herbalist!reader au, cyno would probably be like albedo in that his role doesn't differ too much from canon... but i guess instead of him punishing those who abuse knowledge, he'd be from a council of mages that keep tabs on others to ensure that they're not misusing their magic? maybe? is he just responsible for delivering criminals? does he kill them if they resist too much? idk, but hear me out:
the point is that your mentor was super high on the council's watch list (i have an idea as to why, but i need to flesh it out some more) and after they died, they left you with all of their work, forcing you to take up their mantle, which you really don't want to do — you literally just want to be a good herbalist.
the council is shocked to learn that that absolute menace (your mentor) had an apprentice; at the time of their death, they were essentially at their most dangerous, so to prevent further disaster, they promptly send cyno to deal with this apprentice — to deal with you — as quickly and as cleanly as possible. they fear that in the time that it took them to know that you existed, you may have expanded upon your mentor's work and become even more of a threat than they once were. you need to be taken care of immediately.
i'm sure that to cyno, this is just another job. not that he underestimates your abilities — the student can quickly become the master, after all — it's just that the council always makes a big deal out of stuff like this, and he always delivers. plus, they're probably right. he's seen your mentor's files — since you have unlimited access to that stuff, there's no telling how much havoc you could've wreaked on your kingdom thus far. it doesn't matter how strong you are; he will do as he always does, and deliver swift justice.
the file said you were in the forest on the outskirts of the kingdom. at least he didn't have to worry too much in case a fight broke out. as he approaches your cabin, he feels a wave of raw energy stop him in his tracks. the sheer amount of power makes him hesitate for a split second before he continues on. he readies himself for a fight. soon enough, he spots a figure hunched over a little ways away and noticed that it's the source of all the power. it's you.
cyno charges you with no warning. his footsteps are quiet, but not silent — just before the tip of his blade can make contact with your shoulder, you're parrying him away with a staff that you conjured in the blink of an eye. your reflexes are good, he notes. but that won't save you. you shout at him, demanding to know what it is that he's doing and why he's doing it. cyno, kind as he is, tells you that you need to be exterminated. he doesn't tell you why. instead, he charges you again, and finally, a battle ensues.
the battle is a little lengthy, but comes to a halt when you actually manage to get the upper hand on him. you've got cyno pinned to the ground with the tip of your staff in his face. you could change the tip into a blade and end his life, but you don't. instead, you ease off of him and extend a hand to help him up. cyno eyes you warily and asks why you're helping him. you huff as you catch your breath and tell him that you never wanted to fight in the first place; you just wanted to put him in his place to get him to stop. since you technically won, the battle was over, and he could leave you alone.
cyno is... baffled by you to say the least. you're supposed to be this horrible threat but instead you're ushering him into your cottage to treat any wounds you inflicted upon him. upon closer inspection, cyno understands that you're not a threat at all — he can't say the same for your demon familiar, though. you also have another little cat named qiqi. a peculiar little thing, she is, but she's cute and harmless. the demon is really the only thing that he needs to keep an eye on.
ig i'm trying to say that cyno basically has to keep an eye on you.. and he helps you hone your powers/knowledge for good just in case — he's like a mentor, in a way, but also a student because he's not too sure what exactly it is that you've been left with. he's a good person basically, but it remains unspoken that if you fuck up so much as once, all bets are off.

Centuries Ago
Druig’s tattoo had always been a point of curiosity for him. It was an outline of a small moon and situated right on the inner portion of his wrist. When he first noticed it after waking up on the Domo he had thought everyone had one, but upon further inspection, he found he was the only one with such a blemish.
After their first battle with a Deviant, Druig pulled Ajak said and asked about the tattoo. The older woman beamed when she saw it.
"You have one," she said with such wonder.
"A blemish? Well, yeah—,"
Ajak shook her head. "No," she said, cutting off the confused Eternal. "A soulmate."
Druig frowned. "A soulmate."
"Your blemish is a tattoo and on this world, soulmates have complimentary tattoos. You have a companion."
Druig glanced at the other Eternals. "But I’m the only one with a tattoo."
Ajak nodded in understanding. "Soulmates are incredibly rare. You just got lucky."
Lucky? Druig didn’t think he was lucky. Years, decades, centuries passed for him without any sign of this so-called soulmate. He wasn’t even sure how to recognize him or her, let alone find them.
Ajak had explained that he would just know. The second he’d set eyes on his other half, everything would fall into place. They were meant to compliment one another, after all.
Ajak had been so optimistic and, at first, Druig shared in that excitement. But as times changed and his world stayed the same, any delight he felt toward the mark on his wrist and what it symbolized faded. He had other things to worry about. Other missions.
As Druig looked out on the village he had created, he tried to find peace in his accomplishments. He ignored the itch on his wrist and Ajax’s voice telling him how lucky he was. His life was here. It was under his control. There was no commentary from fate, there were no prospects of a soulmate.
And everything, for the most part, was perfect that way.
Present Times
You were drenched in the Amazon humidity but there was no chance to stop. Not yet. You had to keep moving, something inside you said, keep heading towards what you hoped was humanity, despite the sweat on your forehead and heaviness in your lungs. This was your own doing — so be it. Own up to it.
You let out a curse as you nearly tripped over a protruding log. This wasn’t how this trip was supposed to go and you were going to a lot more cursing once you reunited with your group.
Just over a week ago, your boyfriend had come to you with a flyer from his church. A group of young adults within the congregation was taking a camping trip to, well, the middle of a rainforest. The flyer said it was the perfect chance to "get off the grip" and reconnect with "what was really important." The trip was booked through a local tour company. There was a steep ticket price to pay but your boyfriend told you not to worry: He’d pay for your trip.
He said he felt you two couldn’t pass this up. It would give you the chance to spend time together and find that spark again.
"We’ve just been on a…rocky road lately," he’d said. "I think some time like this together could really help."
You’d read the flyer over and over again, thinking. He hadn’t been totally wrong that your relationship wasn’t in the best place — but it wasn’t anyone’s fault, really. It was the goddamn tattoo on your wrist.
The little outlined sun had been there pretty much your entire life and, so far, had only caused you nothing but trouble time and time again.
When you were little, your family used to discuss non-stop who your soulmate could be. They each have their own theories. Your mom thought he’d be a doctor. Your dad wanted you to end up with a lawyer. It went on and on with your aunts and uncles also chiming in with their own thoughts. You tried not to get annoyed with it all — they were just excited. You were the only person in your family with a soulmate.
As you got older, you got more curious and tried actually looking for your soulmate. You’d scour the internet for hours browsing soulmate forums in hopes someone had posted about a tattoo like yours. It was nearly impossible though. Tattoos complimented one another, meaning it was incredibly difficult to know what your other half would actually have until you met them.
Eventually, after high school, you put the search on the back burner and began dating as any other person would.
But dating proved to be the hardest thing imaginable. Unsurprisingly, very few people wanted to be with someone who was promised to someone else. One glance at that wrist tattoo and the date was over before it ever really began.
After a number of unsuccessful years in the dating department, you met your current boyfriend Eric and things actually started looking up for you.
Eric was of the religious kind and told you he subscribed to the word of God, not the practices of fate. He had felt an unbelievably deep connection when you two met and wouldn’t allow a tattoo to stop him. He believed God had brought you two together.
You tried so hard to match his optimism, to share his wonderful belief, but then the tattoo would start itching and your mind would begin to wander.
You knew Eric wasn’t oblivious to your doubt but you two never actually discussed it. Instead, he’d pamper you, shower you with love. It was such a confusing place to be in. Eric was great. He was sweet, kind, supportive… But there was also that fucking tattoo staring you and him down.
Long story short, everything with Eric was blowing up and now you were on this damn camping trip — no, correction, you were lost on this damn camping trip.
While trying to pitch the tent, you and Eric had gotten into a disagreement. What the hell it had been about, you couldn’t remember. You just recall feeling like you had to step away for a moment. Then you got to walking and next thing you knew, you were lost, completely turned around in the heavy forest.
Upon realizing you didn’t know where you were, you did the one thing experts probably advised against: you continued walking. You didn’t know why, but you followed your gut and began a treacherous journey through tall trees and fascinating plants. You had to admit, it was fairly nice here such a sharp difference to your life back in your American city. If you had your supplies, you’d probably consider settling down here, at least for a while. The flyer had been right, this disconnecting wasn’t half bad — minus the vines and branches you were practically breaking your ankles on.
After walking for what felt like hours, you heard some voices in front of you further up. Thinking you’d finally made it back to the campsite, you picked up your pace. However, as the trees began to part, you realized it wasn’t your campsite. It was a village. There were rows of small buildings and groups of people lingering about, doing what looked to be chores and jobs. You stopped on the outskirts, confused and intrigued. Nothing online talked about homes like this out here, but the sight was also a relief for you. Maybe one of them could point you back to your campsite.
Slowly, you stepped into the confinements of the village. Your eyes landed on a group of women peeling what looked to be potatoes. You weren’t certain how nice anyone was here but you figured a group of women wouldn’t be that bad to approach.
"Excuse me," you said gently, "would anyone be able to…" Your words died out as the woman turned her head towards you. Your heart sank as you realized her eyes were a piercing gold color. Something wasn’t right, your brain told you, but that was painfully obvious now.
"And who may you be?" The woman’s mouth moves but it was a man’s voice that asked you the question. You jumped back and raised your gaze to find a new person to talk to…but then you saw the whole village was staring at you, all showcasing the same glowing eyes.
In a moment of reasonable panic, you went to turn around and leave the way you came, but you ended up running into something…hard. You looked up. Okay — not something, but a person.
The man had dark hair, stern features, and was dressed similar to the villages. But as he glared down at you, you realize his eyes were normal. And there was something eerily familiar about them.
"Well?" The man said impatiently. "I asked you a question." He stood tall, with his arms behind his back. He was daunting to look at but you couldn’t turn away. Your body felt compelled, yet you didn’t think he was doing anything to you, despite the fact it was clearly him controlling all these people.
"I—I’m sorry." You forced out the apology. "I—I got lost and came across this…this village. I swear, I don’t mean harm, I just need help getting back to my group." You silently prayed — something you hadn’t done in forever — this brooding man had some compassion.
After a moment, his eyes raked over you, taking all of you in from head to toe. Something fluttered inside you.
"You’re hurt," the man eventually said, motioning to your ankle.
You glanced down. Sure enough, your ankle had a giant scrape. You hadn’t felt it, probably thanks to the adrenaline rush.
You looked back up, locking eyes with the man again. There truly was just something about him.
"I’m fine," you insisted. "I would just like to—,"
"Nonsense," he said. "I can’t send you back out there when you’re hurt."
So, he did have a heart, you thought. But you shook your head. "Really, I’m fine—,"
The man barked out a name to the crowd of villagers. On command, one of the men approached.
"Help me get her to the infirmary." The man — who you figured was some sort of "leader" around here — instructed the villager. The villager didn’t question a thing, just offered you his arm as The Leader led you to the infirmary.
Once the door of the building shut, the action outside started back up. The villager who had assisted you even turned back to…human? You weren’t sure what to make of it. You just knew his eyes weren’t gold anymore. He appeared slightly confused as to how he ended up in the infirmary, but then The Leader thanked him for his assistance. The villager smiled and left, leaving you alone with this compelling yet confusing man. You didn’t know if you wanted to ask him questions or run away.
"Sit," he commanded, pointing to a chair beside him. Hesitantly, you obeyed.
The Leader left for a moment then returned with a first-aid kit. He opened it, collected a few items, then knelt in front of you. Your breath hitched There was something insanely appealing about him.
"So," he began as he cleaned your ankle, "want to explain why you were wandering around out there woefully unprepared?"
Truthfully, you didn’t want to explain but found yourself unable to resist him.
"I was on a camping trip and left my group," you explained "I hadn’t meant to wander away I just…needed a minute to myself."
The Leader grabbed the lower part of your leg to reposition your foot. Electricity shot through you upon feeling his touch. The air in the room got heavy. The Leader glanced at you as if he felt it too, but before you could say anything — or demand to leave — he started talking again.
"What made you want to leave your group?"
What? There was no way you were spilling your boyfriend troubles to this man.
"I—I’m sorry, but I don’t think that’s your business," you said. "It’s…personal."
The Leader let out a chuckle as he began wrapping your ankle. Your body jolted every time his skin brushed yours, but you were trying to ignore it.
He looked up at you, a peculiar glimmer in his eyes. "You barge your way into my village and then tell me what is and isn’t my business?"
You shook your head. "N-No," you insisted. "It’s just something I’d prefer to not get into. You don’t need a stranger airing out her grievances." You look down at your lap, trying to block out the attractive man’s gaze which seemed to only get more intense as the seconds passed.
"Is that what you are?" The Leader asked softly. "A stranger?"
Your brows furrowed in confusion. "Excuse me?"
The Leader dropped your leg once your ankle was bandaged up. You dated to meet his eyes again, against your best judgment. He was looking at you like you were something to be conquered.
"Let me see your wrist."
Instinctively, you placed a hand over your wrist to make sure the tattoo was covered. In your moments of fear, you hadn’t even realized the tattoo was itchy, practically burning.
"Wh-What?"
"You feel it, too, don’t you?" He said, his voice suddenly low and deep. "The jolts, the air… I have a feeling something else was at play when you decided to go on a camping trip. When you decided to wander away."
"I… I… This doesn’t… It makes no sense." Your brain was speeding. Could this really be? You couldn’t deny what you had felt when you set eyes on him. You’ve felt attraction before, but this was pulling. An undeniable pull.
The Leader was standing now, looking down at you as you cowered in the chair like a nervous cat.
"If you think I am mistaken, then where is the harm in showing me your wrist?" The Leader asked. His arms were behind his back again. You tried remembering if you had noticed anything on his wrists, but your mind was blank.
Slowly, with hands shaking uncontrollably, you presented him your wrist. The little sun stood out like a neon sign. The pain and itching were getting stronger…
Until The Leader put his wrist beside yours. He had a tattoo of a small moon. Night and day. Day and night. Sunshine, darkness. Complimentary of one another. The most perfect, natural balance in the world.
You brought your wrists closer until your skin touched his. All discomfort in your tattoo stopped. There was only a feeling of bliss. Of relief.
"Well," The Leader chuckled, "would you look at that."
You were still jittery, unable to talk. But The Leader had no trouble filling the silence.
"I’m Druig," he said.
You shared your name. He repeated it like he was testing how it felt on his lips.
"Nice to meet you," the man you now knew was Druig, your soulmate, said. "Welcome to my village, or, should I say, welcome home."

---------------------------
You paced through the narrow hallway of your one-bedroom apartment for what seemed like the millionth time. Releasing a loud groan you dove unto the soft cushions of your couch, burying your face in one of your many throw pillows. It had been exactly 2 days,14 hours, and 27 minutes since you had last seen Yunho...not that you were counting or anything. He seemed kinda off during your last interaction, his breathing seemed strained and his cheeks were a bright shade of pink, granted his face seemed to be tinted that light shade of pink quite often. His voice wasn’t the smooth sweet melody that you had already become so used to, it seemed deeper, almost huskier. Sure, he had just woken up but still, something felt off to you. Maybe you were overthinking it, over-analyzing the situation as you usually did but how could you not? He hadn’t contacted you for two whole days. Sure, he could be busy with work but when you visited his workplace they said that he hadn’t been in on that day. Then where was he? What could he possibly be doing?
What if he was sick? What if he had realized that you weren’t the same kindergartener that he had met so many years ago? What if he didn’t want to be friends with you anymore? What would you do then? Everything that you had done since the moment you and Yunho had parted ways was all done to meet him again. You studied extra hard to get a scholarship, you worked extra shifts to pay off apartment expenses, you settled on choosing this apartment because it was closer to your old school. Everything that you had done was all for him but...what if he didn’t want that? What if he was having second thoughts? Where would that leave you? What would you do when your entire reason for bettering yourself decided that you weren’t enough?
He said that he’d come to visit you again but it's been two days and still nothing, you were starting to worry. Sure you hadn’t seen him for twelve years prior but now even a day without him feels unbearable. You’d wondered how you had survived so long without having him by your side. Even your tiny apartment felt as though it had tripled in size since his absence, the walls seemed to have expanded overnight, feeling far too large for just you. Yunho seemed to fit so perfectly in your life so the fact that he wasn’t there next to you felt like such a foreign feeling even though he had only recently reentered it.
Your worrying carried on for the remainder of the week and before you knew it classes had begun. The first couple of days were pretty basic; mostly consisting of introductions and lesson plans. You had even somehow managed to befriend the bespeckled hybrid boy who sat next to you in your Math class. His hair was dyed a soft orange which highlighted the warmth of his smile, he wore an oversized hoodie and round-rimmed glasses. Even seated he towered over you, and to be quite honest you were originally incredibly intimidated by his large stature but that lasted a solid two minutes. His dog-like playfulness immediately shining through, casting away all of your prior fears. You had both managed to get pretty close before your class had started, him laughing at all of your jokes, his tail happily wagging behind you as he clutched his stomach, tears springing from his eyes.
He introduced himself as Mingi, a dog hybrid who only moved in a few months ago, apparently he wanted a fresh place to make a new start and opted for somewhere quiet. Surprisingly you both shared a lot of the same courses which was great for you because now you had a seat buddy. The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly and it was finally time for lunch, you and Mingi sat on the wooden benches across from the school library, taking in the way the yellow leaves danced in the wind as the breeze sang a gentle song. Your shoulders brushed each others’ as you listened to his stories about his hometown, your attention hanging on to every single word that he spoke. His way of telling stories captivated you, it was as though you were watching a movie, every scene that he set was so vivid, it was as though you were living through each moment. Before long your school day had ended and it was finally time to go home. Walking out from your final lecture for the day you looked up at the sky “, Looks like it’s about to rain,” you hypothesized.
“Please don’t jinx it, the UNI’s Shuttle doesn’t drop me off at the front of my house and I really don’t wanna walk through the rain,” he explained with an exasperated sigh. Soon after his words were uttered a thunderous roar was heard from the sky and raindrops began falling unto the earth below. You could hear the displeased groans from your friend beside you which caused you to let out a small laugh. “Alright Mingi tell me where you live and I’ll think about giving you a ride”, you jokingly said while pulling him in the direction of your car. “You’re the best Y/n,” he said before engulfing you into a hug from behind. “Mingi you’re gonna crush me then I’lldie before I drive you home,” you exclaimed while trying to control your laughter. Were all dog hybrids this affectionate?
Mingi lived fairly close to the supermarket where Yunho worked which was great for you since you found yet another excuse to ‘drop in’ after you had dropped Mingi off. Unfortunately, Yunho wasn’t there yet again and quite honestly it was starting to get on your nerves. You released a loud sigh before heading to your car and driving home. It was only upon arriving home did you notice Mingi’s jacket seated comfortably on your back seat. You playfully rolled your eyes before retrieving it and bringing it into your apartment. Pulling out your phone you sent him a quick text informing him that you were holding his jacket for ransom and if he doesn’t buy you breakfast tomorrow then he’ll never see it again. You know just a basic text. After that was done you decided that your couch was as good a place as any for Mingi’s jacket to rest for the night.
Not long after getting comfortable, you heard someone knocking at your door. “Who could that be?” you thought. You didn’t know that many people from around here and even if you did they didn’t know where you lived. Getting up from your couch you walked over to the door pulling it open to reveal who was on the other side.
“And here I thought that you forgot where I lived,” you remarked as you looked up at the dog hybrid towering above you. Of course, it was Yunho, the only other person in town that knew where you lived was your landlady, and something was telling you that she had little to no reason to come knocking on your door at this hour. “I’m really sorry Y/n,” you heard him say softly, if it had been any quieter you would not have heard him at all. Looking at his face it seemed a lot paler than you remembered and he wore a tired expression as though he hadn’t slept for days.
“I wanted to come to see you sooner but I was really sick and I wanted to call but I didn’t have your number,” he began to explain in a voice that was even gentler than what you were used to. Even the yellow of his eyes seemed to dull significantly, how could you stay mad at someone in that state. To be honest, he could have shown up at your doorstep in peak condition and no excuse, and you’d probably still forgive him. For the longest time whether you were together or apart you had the softest spot for Yunho, even with the greatest determination once you looked into those golden eyes your heart would surely falter.
“You should probably come in, it’s getting pretty chilly these days,” you smiled up at him before further opening the door allowing him inside. Closing the door you sat on the couch and patted the spot beside you expectantly. Yunho taking that as his cue quickly filled in the empty space next to you engulfing your body in his warmth. You had quickly become used to having him next to you so much that his absence for those few days had you feeling incredibly cold. “I really am sorry Y/n, I didn’t mean for this to happen,” he explained as he placed his head on your shoulder nuzzling into your neck.
Placing your hand at the nape of his neck you were about to comfort him about the situation; since he seemed to be beating himself up quite a bit. However, before you could otter a word you could feel his grip on you tightening slightly.
“Y/n” you heard him say no louder than a whisper, his voice deeper than you were used to, “Whose jacket is this?” Referring to the green jacket which was placed on the couch.
“Oh, that’s Mingi’s he forgot it in my car-,” you began but before you could finish you felt a sharp pain at your collar bone followed by the soothing sensation of his warm tongue gliding over your bruised skin. You could feel it caressing your skin so tenderly that goosebumps began to form all over your body. “Yunho,” you whimpered in his arms while struggling to escape his grasp.
“I don’t like it. Why are you spending time with other hybrids when you already have me?” he calmly stated, punctuating each word with gentle kisses running along your throat. “I’ve only just found you, I’m not letting another hybrid take you away from me. You’re mine and I’m yours” he continued on while tightening his grip on you even more. His body pressed firmly to yours as he continued to nip on the tender skin of your neck.
The area began to burn with the most pleasant of pains, your body aching in the best way imaginable. But you knew that you couldn’t stay like that otherwise he would just continue to misunderstand you. “Yunho could you just listen-,” you tried to reason with him as best as you could even though you could hear your voice falter as his lips reached your collarbone. This was the second time he had done this and as pleasurable as it is also beginning to get tiring.
You kept on telling yourself that this was bad no matter how good he made you feel. You couldn’t deny that you could easily become addicted to the sensation of his body on yours; completely trapping you in its warmth. But you couldn’t just let him do as he pleased. It’s true that hybrids have a more difficult time controlling their emotions but this is not an excuse. He couldn’t just continue to act on impulse every time his emotions get too strong. It gets easier with time and a hybrid of Yunho’s age should already be adequately good at it.
But I guess that’s the difference between Yunho and other hybrids his age, they were probably trained better than Yunho. He lived his younger years on the street so there is a possibility that he still hasn’t perfected self-control. He was like a puppy in an adult dog’s body; succumbing to every urge that comes his way. Gathering your thoughts you took a deep breath before speaking. “Yunho sit,” you said in a stern voice, much more than you ever thought you could muster up. You felt his body become rigid against yours but he made no actions to remove himself from you. “Yunho sit!” you said with a little more force; your eyes piercing into his. You heard him whimper before he peeled himself away from you to have a seat. You had expected him to return to his previous spot beside you but he didn’t. Yunho opted to sit on his heels at the base of the couch; right where your feet had lain. His head hung low as his palms gently rested on his knees.
Seeing the sight before you left you struggling to remain seated, he looked so ductile, so obedient and something about it made you feel so hot. He wouldn’t even meet your eyes and you loved it, although you had been the one to stop his previous advances it was almost as though you were at the mercies of your instinct, you wanted nothing more than to completely devour him. You took a deep breath in the futile attempt to gather your thoughts before speaking to him, he’d probably let you.
“Yunho I let your behavior slide twice before, but at this point, I’m beginning to think that you want to be scolded by me,” you stated while coking your eyebrow up. “No I don’t I’m sorry,” you heard him mumble towards the floor. Placing your hand on his cheek you felt the way his body shivered at your touch. “Puppy shouldn’t you look at me when I’m talking to you,” you whispered your face only a few inches from his. You could clearly see his lips quivering as you took in the strained features of his face.
“You’re right I’m sorry,” he whimpered, his fists clenched against his jeans. “And exactly what is my puppy sorry for?” you inquired, your lip twisted up in a slight smirk. It amused you; someone so much smaller than him, could have so much power over him, just the thought had you shivering in your seat.
“I’m sorry for attacking you and for not coming to see you,” he stated, his pleading eyes drowning in your own. “And what was the reason that my dear puppy couldn’t come see his owner?” you continued on loving the pure look of ecstasy on his face when you referred to yourself as his owner. His knuckles tightened as his body began to tremble, clearly holding itself back from the pleasure that was clearly bubbling inside of him. “I was sick,” he said in a hushed tone.
“Oh were you now?” you edged on, your pointer finger gliding across his adam’s apple. “Please,” he whimpered before he began to hunch forward in an attempt to ease the pressure building up at his crotch. “You say that you’re sorry but apparently that doesn’t apply to all of you,” you confessed before gently placing your foot on his crutch. The sound that he released was probably the most beautiful you’ve ever heard; it almost made you want to end your teasing, almost.
Removing your foot from his crutch you stare in awe at the thin thread of clear liquid which connected your toes to the ever-growing bulge in his pants. “For someone who is soo sorry you seem to be enjoying yourself quite a bit,” you stated as you wiggled your toes, almost playing in the precum coating them. From your seat above him, you could see him frantically shaking his head as he rocked in place on the floor beneath you. “Oh, so you’re not,” you inquired as you brought your face on the same level before you continued, “then maybe you should start answering me honestly? There is no need to be this stubborn with me”.
“I was in heat,” he replied; his head hung low as his ears began to redden. “So my puppy left me worried and alone cause you couldn’t keep it in his pants? Seeing the state that you’re in I can’t say that I’m surprised,” you replied, your eyes never once leaving his quivering body. Leaning back into your seat you took one final glance at him before speaking, “Take it off.” You could hear him release a sigh before reaching for his shirt. “No,” you interrupted him mid-action, “just your bottoms.” With crosswinds coming in so quickly Yunho was dressed in a caramel-colored knitted turtleneck and a pair of black jeans. You didn’t think that turtle necks could turn you on to this extent, just the thought of Yunho wearing turtle necks to hide the marks that you’ve left on his neck got a fire burning deep into your core.
You were so lost in your thoughts that the only thing pulling you away was the load, animalistic groan which escaped the hybrid’s lips as he slowly touched himself. His nimble fingers teasing the tip of his erect cock, urging it to release even more precum than it already was. The clear liquid flowed from the tip of his reddened cock down his hand, coating it in the perverse liquid. “I don’t remember telling you that you could touch yourself now did I puppy,” you stated watching as he briskly removed his hand from his aching cock; wincing as the cold breeze caressed it. “Do you want me to touch you?” you inquired.
“I do,” he began; his breathing short and strained, “but I’ve been bad.”
“That’s true but that doesn’t mean that my puppy doesn’t deserve to be cared for now does it?” you rhetorically asked.
Finally leaving your place on the couch you crept beside him, grasping his dick in your much smaller hand, your mouth watering at the sight.  Almost immediately you could feel Yunho bucking his hips upward, chasing his much-desired release with great intensity. Taking your free hand you gripped his hip harshly, your nails grazing along his side. Yunho moaned at the pain, his body shivering as his head dropped to rest on your shoulder. “Stay still for me okay baby,” you whispered, your breath tickling his ear. Continuing at a rather snow pace you ran your hand along Yunho’s engorged dick, tracing its veins with your fingers and watching as his entire body twitched in response. You could feel him leaving tentative kisses along your shoulder but you didn’t stop him this time, he was finally being good so he deserved a little treat. Right?
You tightened your grip as you continued to pleasure him, enjoying the sweet sounds of his moans in your ear; you could listen to it all day but that might actually break him and you couldn’t do that to your puppy. “Close, I’m close. Please can I come,” he begged into your shoulder as his hands caressed your sides ever so slightly; the searing heat radiating from his entire body paled in comparison the that of his pulsating dick. He looked as though he was ready to burst but resisting until you gave him the go-ahead trying with the utmost desperation to be good for you. Should you allow him to release or should you let that pressure build up inside of him just a little longer to see how long he could fight against his instinct?
Your thought process was interrupted by your phone ringing on the couch cushion behind you, you weren’t all that interested to answer but you had an idea of who it might be so you decided to play with your puppy just a little longer. “Yunho could you grab my phone for me please,” you asked, your free hand caressing his back to get his attention. Looking at his face caused shivers to run through your spine; it was nothing like you’ve ever felt before, your body was screaming with pure ecstasy. His face was flushed pink and glistening with perspiration, his teary, yellow eyes were almost engulfed by his dilated pupils and only heavy breathing could be heard from his swollen lips. Yunho was always irresistible in your eyes but seeing him in this state; he looked absolutely delectable.
You had expected him to put up some sort of resistance but he didn’t, he simply stretched forward; groaning at the new angle in which you were holding his dick, and grabbed your phone. “Who’s calling?” you inquired, already having a decent idea of who it is. From the growl that escaped Yunho’s lips, you already knew that you were right but you still wanted to hear him say it. You didn’t say a word to him you simply stopped the movement of your hand and looked at him, your eyes boring into his in an attempt to deduce his next move. Was he really that against you talking to Mingi? Or was it just because of the timing of the call? “Mingi,” he whispered before handing me the phone. Taking it from his hand you could see Yunho attempt to fix his clothes. “Stay,” you simply said to him before answering the still ringing phone.
To be quite honest you weren’t really paying any mind to what Mingi was saying; your senses focused on the whimpering hybrid beside you. You had already begun caressing his dick once more while still being on the phone with Mingi, you didn’t mind too much if Mingi found out what you were doing but Yunho on the other hand tried his absolute best to keep his noises at bay. This continued on for a few more minutes as you tried your best to keep Mingi on the phone, testing how long Yunho could hold out. Quickening your pace on his ever-flowing dick you could see Yunho convolve as he clung unto you, his teeth threatening to tear through his lush lips. He was almost at his breaking point.
“Mingi could you just hold on please my friend is calling the apartment phone,” you lied, “oh no you don’t need to hang up it will only take a minute.” Placing your phone against your shoulder; but not really attempting to muffle any sound, you turned to Yunho, “Are you coming today or not?” you enquired in the best nonchalant voice you could muster up. To Mingi it would just seem as though you had a friend over but Yunho knew better, his needy pants and muffled whimpers understood all too well. Looking up at you he nodded his head frantically before burying his face into your shoulder once more in a desperate attempt to muffle his sounds. He couldn’t hold it in any longer, if he was asked to his entire body would have surely combusted right there and then.
“Okay then hurry up,” you replied before returning to your phone call. “Yeah I’m gonna watch a movie with a friend in a bit, you should come next-,” you continued your conversation until you felt a sharp pain on your neck causing you to yelp, followed by a splash of liquid landing on your hand. “Are you okay?” you heard Mingi ask. “Yeah I’m fine I just bumped my toe,” you explained with a slight laugh trying your best to calm your breathing. “Well that’s good then,” he continued, “but please be careful else you’ll make me worry.”
“You don’t need to though, I already have someone like that and he’ll be here soon so I should go,” you stated before saying your goodbyes. You could sense a slight opposition from Mingi on the phone but that didn’t bother you much cause you had someone else to worry about. You look one last look at the quivering hybrid who had collapsed on your living room floor before you stood up.
Rushing to the restroom you began filling the bathtub before retrieving a damp cloth and heading back to the exhausted hybrid in your living room. After cleaning up most of the mess you told Yunho that he needed to take a bath which resulted in him releasing a groan before attempting to get up. Standing beside him you watched as his legs shook releasing a small giggle at the sight. “Shut up,” he said with a slight pout on his lips. “I really did a number on you didn’t I,” you continued.
“Please stop talking,” he groaned as he slowly made his way to your restroom. “Are you going to make me?” you pushed on loving the personality gap that he was displaying. You loved how he went from a whimpering mess to the playful yet slightly defiant Yunho that he currently is. You felt his grip on your arm, pulling you closer to him until your bodies were connected. “Do you want me to?” he inquired, his golden eyes searching yours. “Huh?” was the only thing that could leave your mouth, unbelievable, even after all that you’ve just done to him he can still reduce you to a deer in the headlights that simplicity? “I’m yours,” he whispered just softly enough for you both to hear; like it was a precious secret only to be shared between you too, “I’d do anything you want me to. Whatever you want from me I’ll give it to you.”

do you have any tips on coming up with fic ideas? i write maybe one or two short chapters then give up bc i dont know where to take the plot. how do you keep it going so long?
ooh hello!! good question,, it's difficult to say definitively "this is how to come up with ideas", since they sort of just happen naturally i guess, but hopefully i can try to say some things that might help you,, (this answer will probably get very long and waffly, and i apologise in advance LOL. actually, ill put it under a read more, i guess.)
I suppose I would say firstly, I think it helps when writing fics (or any kind of story) to have a plan or a clear idea in your head of what you want to write and how it will end up Before you actually start writing; you don't have to have it all planned out to the exact detail but at the very least having an end goal in mind, or a definite theme or idea that you want to get across, can help you to know where you're going as regards the plot. (I know this doesn't solve the problem of having an idea in the first place, but having an idea of what direction you want to go in, where you want it to end up, before you begin, makes you less likely to get stuck half way through and not know what else to write I guess.)
I started out by doing short fics, with no real plot to speak of, just snippets/short scenes; and then eventually after getting more confident with writing and also getting more into the series/characters I then started trying longer fics. Don't feel bad if all you can write is short stuff for now; quality not quantity and all that.
And I guess this is an obvious thing to say, but to keep a fic going for longer you need more stuff to happen!! lol. It could take place over a long time, over different places, there's probably going to be some kind of Event or incident it all revolves around; having some kind of fight or conflict will expand it because you can think about how and why the fight happens, what's the aftermath, the resolution. You could think about is there a certain atmosphere you want to create; something summery, something scary and gloomy, etc etc; and therefore what kind of things can happen within this setting? If you have some characters who maybe don't like each other at first, then can you think up a plot where some kind of extreme situation or a series of situations forces them to work together, get to know each other, etc, things like that? Are you going to build up to some big Thing or some Realisation happening at the end? It doesn't necessarily need to take place over a long time; it could be a 'one day in the life of [x character]' kind of thing, but perhaps it's a terrible horrible no good very bad day, and a lot of shit goes down.
Honestly, if you're really stuck for ideas, there's no shame in going for the really clichéd fanfic tropes like, idk, "there's only one bed" or "tattoo artist and florist au" or whatever, because it at least gives you a starting point; you can expand upon it in your own way, and you can think of ways to subvert the trope etc. Even things like the '5 times they almost [x] and one time they actually did' or whatever can be a good template, because you're forced to think up six different scenarios.
I don't know what media you're writing for, but are there any gaps in the canon that you could use fic to explore? Characters that never canonically interacted but plausibly could have done, and so on? That's part of the reason for some of my writing, exploring stuff that was only referenced in canon but was never actually shown.
Tbh, my ideas often start from just single sentences or lines of dialogue which come to me randomly during idle pondering of the blorbos; I might start out with just one or two scenes that I can imagine clearly, or a spicy conversation which I think will be good, and then it's like the plot and everything else kind of gets built around, or builds up to that moment.
I guess I'd say don't sweat it too much if you're struggling to keep fics going; like everything it takes time and practice, and sometimes you just can't force an idea to happen. I've had a fic in mind for ages that I've only just got around to planning out properly; it was just a concept and a handful of imagined paragraphs without any real details/logistics as to the plot, but eventually it took shape.
This has been said before by countless people but it's pretty much true I think, and that's the fact that in general, the best writing advice is to just read lots xD Whether it's books or fanfic, read a lot and read a variety, and subconsciously you'll start to get more of a feel for how stories take shape, what kinds of things you can do, what kind of style you can write in, and so on. I remember that I was struggling a little when I first started doing fics with my writing being too wordy, too long winded; but I started reading a collection of very short stories by an author with a very concise style, and that gave me a bit of a lightbulb moment; I started to get more of a feel for how to keep things more direct, but still retain enough substance.
Tbh, I will say also that I feel like for me, with metal gear solid, it's just fortunate that there's a lot of scope to write abt stuff in this series, like there's a lot of things I want to write about; I've never really written fic for any other fandom fgjjgkg it's just mgs that has like. driven me to start writing fanfic properly, I just have some extreme brainworms for these characters. Honestly I would love to write like, original fiction some day but I would have no idea what to write about or what kind of plot...so yeah, you're definitely not alone when it comes to scratching your head for ideas.
I don't know if any of this has been helpful at all; I can at least say, ending on a positive note, that the fact that you've managed to write anything at all, even a couple of short chapters, is no small feat!! Writing just a single paragraph counts for something. Keep on keeping on, etc!!! Even if you ended up giving up on a fic, someone will surely still get some enjoyment out of the one or two chapters you did write. People are generally hungry for content!!
I guess that's all I can think of to say for now; drop by again if you want to ask anything further, anything more specific, whatever. Good luck in all your fic writing endeavours!! o7 <3

How many works do you have on AO3?
13
What’s your total AO3 word count?
76,200
(oh what a nice even number - I should try to mess that up as soon as possible, shouldn’t I?)
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Aw man is this intentionally worded to be really hard to answer? I get that it says ‘written’ and not ‘posted’ but then what constitutes a ‘fandom?’ I definitely wrote fics for stuff I was interested in long before I even knew the word ‘fic’ - I did it throughout my childhood, and then in high school, and while I didn’t do it as much in college, it still happened from time to time. So a lot of the books/movies/tv shows/plays/musicals I wrote things for aren’t really fandoms, and frankly, I had to check my old folder just now to even remember some of them existed. I’ll just list the ones that I know for sure had fandoms, since that’s more fun (and embarrassing), right?
Obviously Doctor Who, classic and modern, Torchwood, Sherlock Holmes (ironically more of these seem to be about the books, but yes, I will admit, some for that tv show too), Les Mis, a couple different Marvel comics & movies, Good Omens, hell, I even found a Night Vale fic in there just now.
And I know there are other older things not even in that folder, some of which never made it to a computer at all, so if I had to ballpark a number I’d probably say around 25ish but really, who knows?
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Across the Gap
On the Spot
Expectations
Shards of Memories & Fragments of Glass
Itemized
(this was fun, I’d never noticed Ao3 even had a stats page until now lol)
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I try to! Sometimes I take a long time to do so but for the most part, I usually get around to it. The rare exception would be if I first saw the comment when I was super busy/distracted and then felt like way too much time passed before I noticed it again, that it might be awkward if I said something at that point.
I do genuinely enjoy hearing what people think, but I’m also weirdly terrified of making anyone feel like they have to reply to my comments. I know that’s probably a little strange, but it’s actually a large part of why I made this Ao3 account in the first place - my original one, from high school, is followed by some long-time friends of mine who aren’t interested in this fandom, some of whom are involved in art & writing professionally. The thought of anyone like that reading something I wrote out of friendliness or even just curiosity and potentially having to pretend they liked it for the same reasons stressed me tf out, so I like having this virtually anonymous one because I can relax knowing that anyone who reads or interacts with something I wrote has probably done so only because they wanted to, rather than feeling obligated, and there’s no pressure on them to be nice to me about it if anything I write or post annoys them - so I really hope nobody who does just know me as an anonymous blog has ever worried about offending me by not replying to something, trust me, I’m perfectly happy with it!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I don’t think I’ve really written any angsty endings? I guess the answer would have to be Reckless just because it involves the characters arguing about sad/weighty things and there isn’t really any solution to those issues - but even then I think I ended it with a kind of acceptance that stops it from really qualifying as angst? I also set it in the the same universe as other fics, so maybe that doesn’t even count as an ending? Am I that bad at ending things on angst? Lol
Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Obviously none of the fics I’ve posted are crossovers but I’m trying to think now if any of my WIP’s are - I’ve definitely poached setting/premise ideas from other media, but in terms of actual crossovers . . . I’ve got a few cross-era or cross-Doctor, a few involving Torchwood, but that’s already the same universe, so the only thing that’d qualify as a true crossover would be some vague pieces of a fic where Jamie, Zoe, and Two end up on the Enterprise, since I think the 60s series of Star Trek and Dr Who feel kind of compatible, don’t they? In fact, aren’t there like officially licensed crossover comics or something? Or did I make that up? Idk, and the ideas are very loose, so it’s not much of a WIP either
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Nope, never
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I’ve never written smut, but I’m wondering if it’s possible that could change soon. There’s a longish multi-chapter fic I’ve been working on for a frankly embarrassing amount of time, and the plot does call for a sex scene at one point towards the end, but I can’t seem to make up my mind on how - uh, I guess the word is explicit? - it should get. I know I could easily do a fade to black/implication thing, but it’s kind of a source of contention and anxiety for the characters, so to skip over writing the actual scene and just revisit them afterwards rings of “and they slept together and now everything’s fine!” which feels kinda cheap to me - in this context, anyway - and not the right payoff for a long fic that’s otherwise more of an interpersonal drama/slightly a period piece, if I had to place it in a genre. I feel like my aversion to actually writing the scene might just be prudishness I should get over, or maybe just self-doubt, because I know I’d rather have a well-written, funny, character-development-supporting sex scene than nothing at all, but since I’ve never had any interest in writing a scene like that before, I don’t know if I can do it well, and I also don’t want to ruin a fic I’m otherwise proud of by doing it badly... ugh I have to figure this out
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I seriously doubt it
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope
What’s your all time favorite ship?
I mean, it’s gotta be Two & Jamie. I’ve shipped things before with varying levels of investment, but I’ve never been able to use the term ‘otp’ in a literal sense until I came across them, and now it’s already basically gone out of fashion, go figure!
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I’m not sure if I have one? My WIP doc is huge, but I don’t actually intend to get around to finishing everything in it, so I’d like to think that anything I’ve currently singled out to complete can actually get done.
That said, I do have a few AU’s that I don’t really plan to finish, but it might be cool if I could. Two of them are for all the main + some supporting characters of the Second Doctor’s era - one’s a modern day school teachers AU, and the other is a typical fantasy/fairy tale AU. Another is just Two/Jamie, based on Doctor Faustus (specifically the Marlowe play version) but right now there are two different versions of the ending coexisting in my head. I’ve written parts of scenes & some gen. backstory for all of those ideas, but I don’t know if I’ll ever try to finish them, or what form a finished product would even take - a series of one-shots set in the same universe? one long multi-chapter fic with some kind of overarching plot? And the amount of context/worldbuilding a big AU like these would require might not make them very appealing fics for people to read, so maybe it is better if I just keep them to myself, since in my head I already know what’s going on in those worlds lol.
What are your writing strengths?
I honestly don’t know. I haven’t had a creative writing class since middle school, and since then I’ve only ever shown creative writing to others in a fandom context, so it’s been a while since I’ve discussed it or gotten critical feedback. I suppose when I work in other arts or even academic writing contexts, people usually say I’m kind of insightful or at least detail oriented, which might just be another way of saying I overthink things, but I like to imagine I’m decent at finding little points of interest to expand upon.
What are your writing weaknesses?
If you’ve read this far I feel like you must know what I’m about to say: I do not know how to be concise.
Usually when I’m writing a fic, I put down the dialogue first on its own, leaving out the action of the scene and whatever plot/context led there, even if I’ve already figured all of that out. But then when I go to add those things in, they’re always longer than I wanted them to be. I don’t mind writing something long, but I don’t want my fics to be a slog to get through either, and there can be a point at which the stuff I’ve added for context overwhelms the stuff that I wanted the fic to be about in the first place, so it becomes a structural/proportion issue too. I haven’t completely given up on any fics because of this yet, but there’s one I’ve been struggling with for a couple months now - probably because I’m even second-guessing myself on which scenes need to be written out and which can just be referenced like a recap. Hopefully I figure that one out soon.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
((this is karma isn’t it? i posted a fic last week with two words of gaelic in it and was worried about that and now this is karma))
In general, I don’t want to do it. I feel like you’ve gotta have a really good grasp of a language to write dialogue & speech patterns for someone who’s a native speaker, and since I’m far from fluent in any language the characters I write for are, I wouldn’t feel confident writing any significant amount of dialogue in, say, Gaelic.
As a sidenote, though, I kinda love it when other people do it, particularly for Jamie. Irish (Gaeilge) and Scottish (Gàidhlig) are both languages I’ve wanted to learn for a long time, because my family’s fresh out of living speakers of either & I think that’s a shame, but I started with Irish and at the moment I’m still very much learning it. As different as they are, it still helps me understand parts of lyrics or texts that I come across in Gàidhlig fairly frequently, so when it comes up in a fic I get to feel like I’m being responsible and practicing, and it’s great when I can actually understand what’s being said.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
I’m gonna go with Harry Potter even though that’s probably not a perfectly accurate answer - it’s almost certainly the first thing that has a fandom that I ever wrote for, but it was in a notebook when I was a kid and never something that I even typed on a computer, much less posted online or shared with other members of a fandom. But even then, I’m sure it wasn’t the first pre-existing fictional universe I ever set an original story in, because I did that a lot when I was a kid, it’s just hard to remember those clearly or on any kind of timeline.
What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
I’m very partial to Across the Gap, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that ranked first on the kudos thing above - but I’ve also got a soft spot for So Merrily We’ll Sing. It’s so self-indulgent it feels silly saying ‘it was so easy to write!’ but I guess having a fic that’s already just 100% headcaonons and fluff tied together by a song you really love does prevent it from being much of a labor (I also managed to refrain from making that one unnecessarily long, so that’s another win there)
tagging @terryfphanatics and anyone else who wants to do it - sorry I’m bad at remembering whose tumblr goes with whose Ao3 account, but I really would be interested to read this if anyone else feels like answering them!

HEY. Do you have more ideas about Magnus' AU band? With Trindle and Rachel? because GIVE.
Alright, so admittedly haven’t been paying too much attention to this one in favor of another AU, but I have expanded on a few ideas.
To begin, the girls (Abigail, Rachel and Trindle) are playing a cross between horror punk and (feminist) rock occult, with an emphasis on the jazzy, rockabilly sound. Melmord is their manager, and while they’re not famous yet, they are making a nice smash in the underground music world, and Melmord would like to have them expand while the they’re riding this wave. Unfortunately, recent event had the original fourth member of the band suddenly part from the band.
Abigail (back up vocals, bass, keyboard, sax, etc. I’ll explain): Consider Abigail the “Paul” of the group in both talent and business approach. She’s the main creative contributor of the band, having written and producing music well before the band’s conception. She’s also very no nonsense and tries to keep the band as active and on stage as much as possible. Although she writes the majority of the lyrics and has a decent voice herself, she has Rachel perform as lead vocalist. Abigail doesn’t care much for Magnus, nor will she cater to his demands. They start to get along better once Magnus starts giving her the respect she deserves.
Rachel (vocals): A longtime friend of Abigails. Abigail taught her how to play the guitar and bass, and during high school they joined a band together. Rachel is kind and quick to forgive. She’s from a better background than the others, operates her own small business, so the band’s success doesn’t weight as heavily on her, or at least that’s how Abigail and the other’s view it (more to that later). She almost always backs up Abigail on decisions (so when she starts complimenting Magnus’ creative decisions it creates a bigger strain between them), and can be a bit wishy washy when it comes to expressing her own ideas (in part because she feels guilty for “taking the spotlight” from Abigail).
Trindle (drums): The youngest member of the band, and the only one who doesn’t provide any creative input. She teeters, fidgets and acts rather ditzy and immature compared to the others. There’s a lot more to her than what she is willing to share, though It’s gonna take Magnus a while to figure out that much of her humor and random remarks are just her disassociating or deferring from a discussion. A runaway with no day job, she spends a lot of time at Melmord’s place
Magnus (guitar): The newest (and also oldest) member of the band. He’s been in other bands before this, and even has a few CDs under his belt, so he thinks he’s hot shit even though his best song peaked at like, #28 on the top 40 or something. He’s hot-headed, but he’s also not stupid and knows he’s getting older and carries a less than favorable name in the music industry, so when he starts to see the band’s real potential Magnus does start to improve. He agreed tot he make up and outfits, so long as they keept any gel or spray away from his hair. Abigail said she’d look into it.
Melmord: A band with a ling series of failed businesses, schemes and identities. He claims he took peyote during a mental crisis (on the doctor’s order, he swears) and learned his true calling was with Satan. Somehow that meant managing an all-female occult band. While his business isn’t always practical, he does whatever he can to give the girls a fighting chance in the music world. This man has spent sleepless nights with Abigail and Rachel sewing dresses for the show. He ultimately convinced Abigail to give Magnus a shot.
Blues Devil: I’m torn between making them the head of the label that eventually picks the band up (making BD one massive one liner), OR…actually having them be a demonic figure that does haunt the band. I mean…punk and rockabilly both have blues roots to them. It wouldn’t be farfetched to say there’s a bigger reason behind Abigail;’s talent, or her striving so hard to get shit done. Or maybe the reason she can’t sing is because they own her voice? Idk, this is where I kinda stopped thinking.
Let me stew on this some more, cause after the initial set up, it’s me having the girls send him to “selfish guitarist camp” and meeting Toki, and the more I look and expand upon these characters the less this is a magtok. really, the story should be about Magnus and everyone else’ struggle to find a voice for themselves in the band, and how certain labels or beliefs about a person’s character can hinder or make success near impossible to achieve. Magnus realizes his struggles aren't that different from the girls because intersectionality, and he learns the Devil isn't a man after all.

I just saw the tangled AU ANON??? Ummmmm is there a possibility that you would…I dunno…expand upon it 😁😁😁😁😁how would you write it if you did?
tangled au anon
anon you wouldn't be hinting at anything would you?
i probably won't expand on it because i don't want to nick someone's idea without permission and also i don't think i would execute it well but obviously i have Thoughts™
so the principle is the same - tk (rapunzel) was kidnapped as a baby by the mother gothel figure. not really sure who that could be, unless...
oh! okay, so maybe tk could be kidnapped later in life, maybe as a teenager, by a boyfriend (personally i'd steer away from it being alex and i'd make it an oc but dealer's choice ig) though this throws up some issues re timeline and why tk would have stayed with his captors etc.
so maybe then it could still be him being taken as a baby by a powerful family (and maybe he has powers like in tangled) and basically groomed to be their heir/the consort of their heir?
i'm getting off track.
one way or the other, tk gets kidnapped. as i said in my answer to the original ask, i love the version where judd is ryder - he goes into the tower expecting to find treasure, not the lost prince (maybe in this au he knows? idk haha) but when said prince says he wants to go see the lights that appear on his birthday ever year (also sidenote i'd probably age him up to be 21 but, again, personal choice) judd agrees.
and, like. there could be a few show elements e.g. tk is kind of arrogant and rebels against judd at first, but he quickly learns and then basically latches on to him and the rest of the 126 (plus grace and, of course, carlos) who they meet in the ugly duckling
this is getting a little out of hand so i'll stop here but i'd love to talk about this au more!

RSA- you’re so right about Tonks and Tulip in a qpr! Also Cherry as a knight is so cute!! Mina would probably go as a medieval farmer so they could match. Werewolf boy’s name is Finn now. Also his friends keeping him company when he transforms 🥺 I’m considering having him be one of Cherry and Mina’s roommates.
OMGGG medieval farmer mina is super cute !! we LOVE finn the ww boy !! pleaseeee yes ofcourse his friends sit with him thru the painful transformation🥺 we love that a lot
RSA- I’m so glad you liked the gender headcanons for Tulip and Talbott. I pictured Tulip as a trans girl specifically and what about she/they Tulip? 👀 or Tulip with neo pronouns? She/they could work for the both of them. For Talbott, I thought of having their name be Thistle since it’s their favorite flower. Also I just know realized that both of them and Rowan have plant related names. You know what, every character with a plant name is queer now 😌. Wait ,how do you feel about trans Cherry?
TULIP W NEOPRONOUNS IS SO GOOD !! omgg thistle winger my beloved🥺🥺 HDHDHDH ur right plant named ppl are queer now thats just how it is😌 OHHH trans cherry is great actually ,, maybe she wouldnt be trans tho i can see her being pretty comfortable with her agab, but i do see her experimenting with pronouns !! i see a point where cherry tries out she / him pronouns
RSA- Students coming to Liz and JT for advice on their animals or when their animals are sick. Younger students bringing in their stuffed animals. Mina did that once when she was little. Speaking of Mina, her becoming a beekeeper in the future. What careers would Cherry be interested in? She seems like a very energetic person so it would probably be something where she could be active.
OH PLEASE liz and jt being the school vets bless. MINA UR SO CUTE !! we love to see her as a beekeeper. i honestly dunno what career cherry would have djdhkajd but i can see light in the culinary path for her bc she has a passion for baking. shes good in the kitchens. or maybe a quidditch player could work either ! shes also pretty ruthless in duelling but idk what to make of that
RSA- I’m thinking about Rowan and Adel during Rowan’s pregnancy decorating Cherry’s room together 🥺. Adel covered in different pastel paints like yellow and blue. Rowan putting in a bookcase full of books that she plans to read to Cherry. The books eventually passing on to younger students and their families.
SCREAMSSSS THAT IS SO CUTE HELLOOO pregnancy hcs always make me 🥺🥺😭😭 ughhhh i love the idea of adel preparing lots of things for the babys arrival bc she started out indifferent towards having children. in fact, she would rather not have any children. but rowan rly rly rly wanted to care for a child WITH adel so they talked it out and finally adel agrees ! and she actually got emotionally invested to the whole baby thing anyway HDJNDND
Hphm- hang on are you a libra as well? 👀? I don’t rlly care about star signs but I do think they’re fun. Speaking of which, Chiara absolutely believes in it. Her distracting injured students by telling them about their horoscopes (she memorizes them). Different topic but Rowan coaching quidditch!! I think I already talked about this before but just the thought of her becoming fully involved with it!! I wish nothing but the best for Rowan and his loved ones.
no im a gemini !! which i have decided cherry is as well ( decided her birthdays on june 7th ). OHHH UR RIGHT and thats so valid of chiara i lov her. QUIDDITCH COACH ROWAN !! they would be very fair !
RSA- are there any ideas for the au that you’d like to talk about more or think should be expanded upon?
hshskahdjhdndn sorry anon im jus not as creative as u😔😔 i am simply consuming whole what u give me LMAO
RSA- it’s established that the school doesn’t have houses but I’m wondering if there’s clubs like the ones that were put into hphm ( I’m playing the dragon club tlsq at the time of writing this so that’s why). Maybe that’s how they decide sports teams. One of my earlier ideas included the school having houses but the students could choose before realizing “oh wait, that’s just the clubs.” I wanted to include more about the sports teams before remembering that I have no knowledge of sports.
EHDHJAHSJEJ MOOD im not a sports person either. but yea i like the idea of there being clubs based on academics !! and NOT personalities🙄🙄
RSA- movie night at the school! Students gathering in each other’s dorms on the weekends. Ben, Tonks and Penny bringing over muggle films for them to watch (Tonks snuck in a horror movie once when it wasn’t Halloween). Wait, the school having a film club or a photography club. Adel and Rowan taking photos of each other 🥺. Badeea painting them a portrait for their wedding!! Just all of their friends showing up to the wedding bc they really do care for each other, all of them.
OMG MOVIE NIGHTS !! wouldnt it be rly funny if they watched a harry potter movie LMAOOOOO. OHH photography club !! omg thats so cute of them😭😭 they like what they see so they gotta make it last LMAOO. it would be an honor for badeea to paint them omfgg
RSA- I mentioned a film club at the school in an earlier ask, and the students in that club working together to make a movie 👀? Their first film was a documentary about the school. Cherry and Mina showed up in the backgrounds of a few of the films (Cherry waved at the camera once). Sometimes actors with longer hair will ask for help from Penny on how to braid it, specifically the younger ones. They also film special events at the school like the anniversary dance.
OHHH THATS SO FUN🥺 yessss penny hairstyling the youngins ,,, this makes me miss joining school activities and recording them LMAOO

Idk if this has been asked before or addressed (im a little behind on the story aaaa) but since technically all the boys have the same name and live in the same universe, do they just kind of consider each other like. A bunch of people who happen to have the same name, or are au's acknowledged here?
it’s actually a kind of mix of both at the moment..? in an effort to focus more on the characters i didn’t really quite get into fleshing out the reasoning behind them all being present in this world together because truth be told.. i really never thought this would become it’s whole separate au hahaha.
i believe in huntsman i wrote that they all came from ‘separate pockets’ when mages broke up their society and just kinda left it at that. maybe i’ll revisits the idea and expand upon the idea of au’s being recognized more like i do with po6, or perhaps i’ll just leave it to what i’ve already said.. i’ll have to think on it some more, but for now they just recognize each other as sanses.
the name sharing is a also big reason why many people started going by nicknames in this au!
