FAMILY

Father: Henry John Ames

Born on May 1st 1920 and raised in a small wizarding/squib village in North Devon, England. The youngest of three children, his parents were much older and tended to spoil him a bit.

His childhood prior to Hogwarts was…chaotic. His father (a cursebreaker), who he admired, had multiple affairs and his parents were always fighting about it. His siblings, Holly and Hannah, were also in and out of the house with their own families, so it got a little cramped.

Henry was thrilled when he got his Hogwarts letter.

Henry was sorted into Gryffindor upon starting Hogwarts. He was fairly popular and played Beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team but was known for messing around with girls. In spite of this he attracted the attention of his first wife Nancy White.

After Hogwarts, Henry decided to pursue a career as a Cursebreaker like his dad and repeated the patterns of his father before him. A breaker of cycles, he is not.

He had a brief fling with Elsa Orn, who had Rubin as a result. He would write to and visit Rubin, who mostly tolerated him until adulthood.

He married Nancy in 1949 and had Wren a year later.

After his Wife’s brutal murder at the hands of blood purists, he took Wren and moved to Galway, Ireland to be near Fiadah and her mother Brigid. Fiadah hated him even as a tiny bitter four year old, so it was Not Fun.

In 1959, He met Saorise and after sweeping her off her feet he married her. He was also ‘Dating’ a woman named Gwen on the side who had Bryn on March 8th 1972.

On December 3rd, 1965, Saorise had Odhran Jacob Ames AKA Danny.

Sometime in 1973 Saorise and Gwen realized that Henry was cheating and he found himself divorced and with no girlfriend.

This did not keep him from moving on and it seems he has learned nothing and will continue to learn nothing until he dies.

Current wife is Sally Baker-Ames who had Evangeline Louise Baker-Ames in 1974. She goes to Hogwarts and it is very VERY awkward.

Looks for Jacob while out on Cursebreaking expeditions and helped Saorise pay for a private detective. He also informed Rubin when Saorise began to neglect Hecate and Sean. While he is a bad father and husband, he does care about his children, in a strange haphazard way.

Mother: Gwendolyn Marie Hughes.

Born on December 24th, 1930 in Hay-on-Wye, Wales to Jeston and Isabel Hughes. Isabel was a witch and Jeston was a muggle. He was very enthusiastic about magic when he found out his wife and children were witches.

Her childhood was fairly average and happy. She had one older sister named Margery (also a witch) who became estranged from the family after denouncing her parents’s pro-creature beliefs and immigrated to Australia.

Gwen was sorted into Hufflepuff and became a lifelong friend of Saorise O’Malley’s

After graduating from Hogwarts Gwen lost contact with Saorise for awhile. She worked with her parents at their Muggle/Magic bookshop where she met Henry Ames in 1960. He managed to dupe her into a relationship and she had Bryn in 1972.

Gwen started writing to Saorise again in 1970 and realized the affair after Saorise sent her a family photo in 1973. She spent that year gathering information and revealed Henry in November.

Saorise forgave Gwen, as she had no idea, and they maintained a friendship until Gwen died of cancer in 1986.

Born on December 3rd, 1965, Danny is the oldest known boy. He was sorted into Hufflepuff and caused all kinds of problems due to his arrogance and inability to tell when he is being lied to.

Wants to be like his father which is why he goes after the Vaults so hard.

Bryn went to school with Danny and knows exactly what he’s like. They tolerate each other.

Bryn gets into a fistfight with Danny upon reuniting with him.

They reconcile after the war.

They love each other but sometimes Bryn sees him and goes “Wow, guess I have to end you now.” Charlie calls it the Cain Instinct.

They start dating in her fourth year and in his fifth year. After graduation Corey and Bryn get married in a Courthouse and have a small family and friends wedding.

They both make anti-Voldemort pamphlets during the war and have one daughter.

HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Pre-Hogwarts Childhood:

Bryn’s childhood was fairly normal in spite of family drama with his dad.

He spent half his time with his mom and beloved grandparents and the other half with Rubin and his siblings.

His grandma died when he was nine.

Hogwarts Years:

Trying to google everything would only frustrate me and waste my time, so I’m not going into detail.

Bryn is selected to be a prefect in his third year.

Bryn’s mother dies of cancer in his fifth year and he starts living with Rubin as his Aunt Margery is unable and unwilling to take him.

He helps with the vaults where he can.

Gets married to Corey Hayden shortly after her graduation.

Second Wizarding War:

Bryn was suspected of anti death eater activity and was placed under surveillance. He was somehow not connected to Rubin or the twins, which was fortunate.

At great personal risk Bryn and Corey set up a print shop in a back room in their flat and hid the door using concealing spells.

They carried out anti death eater activities throughout the war and were never caught in spite of a few close calls.

He and Corey had Charlie Ann in 1997 .

Jeston was killed in 1998 after attempting to stop a death eater from killing a young squib.

Bryn and Corey were unable to participate in the Battle of Hogwarts.

After the war Bryn and Corey helped to identify several Snatchers and pro-purists that had committed atrocities (including his grandfather’s murderer) and also fostered several war orphans.

Adulthood:

Bryn spends the rest of his adult life running his bookshop in Hogsmede. He and Corey live above it.

He maintained a friendly rivalry with Florish and Blotts for most of his adult life and would occasionally pop in to pick on the owner.

Charlie Ann’s children and grandchildren took over the shop shortly before he retired. He was a well known face in the bookshop for the next ten or so years and would play wizards chess with anyone who was willing.

Death:

Bryn dies at the age of 146 of heart failure a month after Corey died in her sleep. He left behind his daughter, five grandchildren, and ten great- grandchildren.

Bryn considered being a Quidditch player but decided he’d rather be a bookseller like his grandfather.

Rowan Khanna: Best friend for life. Rowan was the first friend she met in Hogwarts, was also her dorm mate, and she was the emotionally supportive friend that would back Kouneli up wheneve necessary. Regardless of the traumatic event that had happened to Rowan (and the fact that their personalities were total polar opposite), they will stay as the closest friends forever

Ben Cooper: They related much with others since both are Muggle-born (Kouneli was only adopted by a pure blood family after she was 8, therefore she lived as a muggle in her early life). The two would hang out in the Artefact room to chat about Muggle stuff that their friends wouldn’t understand. With Kouneli on his side, Ben felt less alone in the wizarding world that he didn’t get the chance to know early on

Bill Weasley: Bill was the big brother figure for Kouneli: he genuinely cared for her, looked after her as if he was her mom, would always be on her side, protected her and made sure she was doing okay. He would also make sure no one mess with his little friend and would give the best advice ever. Kouneli adores and looks up to Bill a lot. After all it was Bill who gave her the most attention and affection out of all her friends

Andre Egwu: They both enjoyed fashion and Kouneli would willingly be the model for Andre’s new designs. Both of them would spend hours making random dresses and gowns to take photoshoots and print out the photos for fun.

Charlie Weasley: Kouneli and Charlie became close friends very quickly given the fact both of them were crazy about creatures. They would have debate sections about dragons and Charlie would try to convince her that flying was not that bad. It was their adventurous instinct that attracted them in the first place. He is Kouneli’s closest friend just after Rowan and Bill

Jae Kim: Both of them got on too well together since they were both kinda reckless, and both had fun running away from responsibilities and being some of the most laid back homo sapiens to ever existed

Badeea Ali: Artistic duo! Badeea enjoys painting while Kouneli takes interests in pottery making, so they would talk about this subject a lot and were influenced by each other art concepts too. They said artists usually got along well, and these two were not an exception

Love interests

Bill Weasley: Bill was Kouneli’s first ever crush, so he has always had a special place in her heart, even though they didn’t get together and she got over him eventually. Bill is the exact definition of Kouneli’s type; he was perfect in every way and back when she was in year 3 she would daydream about being with him a lot. However, Merula exposed Kouneli’s crush for Bill just right after the Emily incident, so it was quite an awkward period for Kouneli and Bill since Bill only viewed her as his little sister. But things turned out fine and they were still the best of friends

Diego Caplan: They first met when Diego invited Kouneli to the Dragon club for a friendly duel which would result in a whole mess afterwards. They got closer as they were trying clean that mess and save the Dragon club from being disbanded. Not to mention they were both skilled dancer and would have dance practice sections with others in the Dragon clubhouse. Their feelings for each other developed higher than friendship, but still below love. Things eventually went downhill fast and now they just remained as friends and clubmates, and they were cool with it

Merula Snyde: At first, Kouneli asked Merula out for the Celestial Ball as a “joke” and had no intention of fancying her. But oh well did Merula fell hard for her after the ball. Merula had a crush on Kouneli, and since she was so mean to Kouneli in the previous years, Kouneli would use this opportunity to mess with her and get her to behave more kindly towards others. She still fancied Kouneli even in their last year at Hogwarts. Imma call it karma for bullying someone

Talbott Winger: Her current boyfriend. They first met when they were 9, when Kouneli just moved here from Japan and was not that fluent in English; they had a blast talking about the wizarding world despite the language barrier. They met again on the train to Hogwarts on their first year and sat in the same compartment, even though Talbott didn’t remember her as the little girl he met two years ago due to how different she looked. Kouneli remembers falling head over heel for him when they properly met again in their third year during Kouneli’s adventure to become an Animagus, and she has had the crush on him ever since. At first she just brushed it away thinking that she would get bored soon and fall in love in someone else as she saw no chance of her being with Talbott (their personality are literally polar opposite), but oh boy love did blossom in her fourth year and she couldn’t really bare with all the butterflies flying in her stomach whenever she faces him. In the end they finally managed to have enough courage to ask each others out for dates and now they are delusional lovebirds. Everyone was surprised because of how well they got along with each others, no one expected them to be this deeply in love with their partner

OTHER

Family/Background history: Kouneli was born in Kyoto, Japan. Her biological parents were Norwegian Muggle and they didn’t even married back then. They were just a couple travelled to Kyoto for work. What they didn’t expect that their lastest love-making section in their home country would result in the birth if their child in Japan. It was also Kouneli’s first sign of magic: she was born 7 months early, yet still was a (kinda) healthy child with leucism. Knowing that they couldn’t afford to bring the child home let alone raising a human, her parents left her in the care of a local Kyoto childcare center. So Kouneli was born and raised in Japan. She showed too many signs of magic when she was little: being able to move objects without physical touches, hair growing at an alarming speed, hair color changed from originally white to black with white strokes, and even wandless jinxing. However, the Japanese Ministry of Magic never took notice of these signs so she was left living with Muggles. It wouldn’t be that much of a hazard if the childcare center didn’t turn out to be a secret base for a cult named Azuwaki. The cult saw Kouneli capability of magic and immediately viewed her as a descendant of their god and workshipped her like maniacs. Keep in mind that she was only about 4-5 years old at the time and she had to grind through these until she was 8 years old. The cult stressed her out on religious duties and would physically and mentally abused her for the cult’s beliefs. She couldn’t get help and was for sure hopeless in these circumstances. However, her magic was getting stronger and stronger and was so powerful to the point that the Ministry department had to notice and rescued her from the cult. The cult, though, insisted in keeping her as their saviors and did malicious things just to force her to stay. Getting involved in the situation and understanding the disaster Kouneli was going through, the British Ministry of Magic offered help and got her back to England, faraway from the cult. The cult is still after her till this day though. In England, she was adopted by the pure blood family Ulrikke when she was 8 and was only named Kouneli at this point (her previous name in Japan was Nozomi). She finally got to live a normal happy life a child deserves, and later on start her first year at Hogwarts. (Note: the more stressful she felt in a long period, the more black hair she grows. So in Japan her hair was almost completely black with few white strokes, and she managed to get her original white hair back in just 2 years in England)

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

Pre Hogwarts: Born in Porthcawl, Wales, to Owyn and Theodora Dyer as the third of four children. They lived a fairly happy if not active childhood, frequently playfighting or trying to practice quidditch. Since her brother was usually at Hogwarts, they spent much of her childhood either spending time with their mother, playing with their sisters or the local children, even if not all of them were witches or wizards. She was nicknamed a social butterfly, being a very outgoing and cheerful child. After her brother’s disappearance, their parents began to shelter her and her sisters a bit more, and she developed a slight temper.

1st Year: Started at Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor. Befriended Rowan, Ben and Penny, and discovered the vaults.

2nd Year: Befriended Bill Weasley and began training on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, becoming close friends with Skye Parkin and Murphy McNully. She defeated the Ice Vault late in her second year.

3rd Year: Continued their training on the quidditch team and helped them to win the quidditch cup. Gained more friends and officially became an animagus, taking the form of a Peregrine Falcon.

4th Year: In late 1987, she and Rowan attended the celestial ball together, with the two somewhat crushing on each other- however, nothing ever officially came of their date and remained friends. In spring of 1988, she and Talbott went on their first date together.

5th Year: She and Talbott began to fully fall for each other, going on a Valentine’s Day date together and also attending the festival together.

Order of the Phoenix / 2nd Wizarding War: Thalia officially became a cursebreaker in late 1991, while practicing quidditch for a bit until joining Skye’s team in summer of 1992. They got married in early September of 1994, in a somewhat small wedding. They instantly went into hiding the moment Voldemort returned, though they did help the Order of The Phoenix whenever they could. Thalia then unexpectedly became pregnant in 1997, giving birth to her first child- a little girl named Evie in late February of 1998. They fought together in the Battle of Hogwarts, with their daughter being a main motivator to get through the battle. They both survived, with only a few scars.

Post-War: The two continued living in a quiet suburb around Rochester, England, having two more children. Thalia continued working as a cursebreaker and quidditch player, and she and Talbott continue to live a happy life together.

PERSONALITY

Courageous: If Thalia’s anything, it’s courageous. She stands up for those around her and doesn’t take shit from anyone, and is rarely afraid of anything. Even when afraid, they never let it control them. They’re known to demonstrate great nerve and courage in many situations, going out of her way to fight injustice or speak out against any injustice.

Friendly and outgoing: Thalia loves making friends and is known to be a very pleasant and friendly person. They will often go out of their way to talk to new people they haven’t met, and she’s known to befriend practically everyone they meet.

Intelligent: Thalia is known for her sharp and fierce intelligence, able to catch onto things quickly and figure stuff out with relative ease. They’re curious and like investigating things, rarely giving up on anything once it’s piqued her interest. after the ten past ten scene, rowan visits the train station more often. whenever shes feeling down or simply missing adel, she visits the hogsmeade train station to clear her head. she reminisces the beautiful memory she had with adel there. she remembers her laugh and how her cheeks flush under the sun.

rowan takes a deep breath. she tells herself that it will eventually get better. just be patient. give it time.

years later on the same bench, sat rowan. shes older now — shes the youngest professor at hogwarts, shes happily married to her best friend who is also the love of her life, she has a child at home waiting for her.

Juliette Bancroft — biological mother | A pureblooded Auror and proud member of the Bancroft bloodline, known for producing powerful witches. She blames herself for Jacob’s disappearance, believing that she drove him away by focusing on Nellie, who she viewed as a proper heir to the Bancroft line. Unfortunately, her guilt over driving Jacob away is causing her to neglect Nellie, driving her away as well. She’s always been a little hard on her children. Nellie calls her “mum.”

Carolyn Bancroft — adopted mother | A muggle school teacher who might not understand her magical wife and children, but loves them all anyway. Nellie was always closer to her than to Juliette, and the difference only grew greater after Jacob’s disappearance. While Carolyn also grieved, she did her best to support Nellie through her anguish. She fears that her family’s going to fall apart entirely, because Juliette won’t listen to her and Nellie is growing more distant by the day. Nellie calls her “mama.”

Edwin Dermott — biological father | A muggle journalist who isn’t involved in Nellie’s life. He and Juliette dated, but it was never meant to last. It was the sort of relationship that was exciting, but not sustainable, especially considering Juliette was already a single mother to Jacob at the time. Nellie, much like Jacob, was a complete accident. Edwin at least had the decency to stick around until Nellie was born, but quickly decided fatherhood wasn’t his style and took off.

Siblings:

Jacob Bancroft — half brother | Once Nellie’s hero and very best friend, now a mystery she can’t seem to unravel. He was never a particularly powerful wizard—bright and hard working, yes, but lacking raw magical power—and considering he was the first son in generations of powerful witches, he was especially humiliated by this fact. Nellie’s bursts of accidental magic were more substantial than any spells he cast, and as much as he loved her, god, Jacob was jealous. Initially started hunting the Cursed Vaults for entirely selfish reasons, wanting to become more powerful. As is often the case, his search for power only amounted to getting him in far over his head. He spent his years in the portrait thinking of his family and the anguish he undoubtedly caused them. Upon being freed, he took it upon himself to protect them, no matter the cost, without realizing he may be making the damage worse.

Lucille Whittaker — half sister | Nellie’s muggle father’s other daughter, who she’s never met. In fact, Nellie’s not even aware of her existence, nor is Lucille aware of hers, considering that Edwin isn’t a part of either of their lives. They do end up connecting later in life, and though they never quite feel like sisters, they do become decent friends.

Love Interest:

Skye Parkin — crush | Nellie housed an unrequited crush on her for part of her 5th year, but it quickly became apparent that Skye didn’t return her feelings. To Skye, Nellie was like the sister she never had, and Nellie didn’t want to jeopardize that. She moved on, and any lingering feelings completely withered the following year.

Merula Snyde — ??? | There was some sort of tension between them in 5th year, something that blossomed from their growing mutual respect and trust in each other, but nothing ever came of it. After the events that transpired in the Vault, Merula decided Nellie wasn’t worth the trouble. It’s one of her biggest regrets.

Barnaby Lee — soulmate | Barnaby crushed on Nellie long before she had any romantic feelings for him—ever since that first duel, in fact. It took a little while, but Nellie eventually fell for Barnaby’s good heart and noble nature. He may not be the brightest bulb in the box, but he never fails to make her feel cared for. He can make her laugh when nobody else can, and although she’d loathe herself if he got hurt for her sake, it honestly feels a little nice to have someone trying to protect and take care of her for once, instead of the other way around. They also both love magical creatures, so a lot of their “dates” just consist of them hanging around the Care for Magical Creatures paddock and feeding whatever they find. They’re married by the time they’re twenty.

Best Friend(s):

Rowan Khanna | Her first friend, and always her dearest. For whatever reason, they just clicked perfectly, and completely got each other. Her death changed Nellie irreversibly. For at least a year after Rowan’s death, Nellie wore the spare pair of glasses she’d kept for her everywhere. Even once she stopped, they were almost always in her bag. Nellie was eventually able to manage again, but she never really moved on.

Bill Weasley | He completely adopted her as (yet another) younger sibling, and they never quite lose that closeness, even when Jacob comes back into the picture. After all, Jacob can’t replicate the experiences Nellie had with Bill. While he was doing his part to protect Nellie as best he could, and that’s admirable, it wasn’t him that was by Nellie’s side throughout every trial she faced at Hogwarts. It was Bill, and Jacob would never be able to imitate the connection that gave Bill and Nellie.

Erika Rath | An unexpected friend, but a very strong one. During one of Nellie’s training sessions with Erika, Rowan’s glasses fell off, and cracked. The damage was entirely fixable, but Nellie had a breakdown, crying for the first time since Rowan had died. Even though Erika had only just started to become Nellie’s friend, she sat there with Nellie the entire time she sobbed. While the rest of her friends were tiptoeing around Nellie, uncomfortable in the face of such overwhelming grief and scared of saying the wrong thing, Erika took everything Nellie threw at her in stride. The fits where all Nellie could do was scream and cry, the anger that had her beating her fists against the ground, the guilt that made her wish it had been her instead. Every ugly thought, every wave of emotion, Erika stuck with Nellie through them all, keeping her grounded her during a time where she felt she could completely drift away. It’s impossible to describe the sort of bond that gives people.

Friend(s):

Penny Haywood | There’s not much to say about Penny and Nellie’s relationship. It’s simple, sweet, and supportive. They’re absolutely each other’s cheerleaders, and have an incredible amount of faith in each other.

Talbott Winger | Loathe as Talbott is to admit it, Nellie really is his friend. Nellie appreciates that Talbott can enjoy silence, and when she needs to just be around someone, without needing to explain herself, she goes to him. They spend a lot of nights in the Astronomy Tower in their animagus forms, just looking at the stars and being together.

Chiara Lobosco | Honestly, it’s surprising that it took these two as long as it did to become friends. Both of them are kind girls, who enjoy healing magic. They hit it off volunteering together in the Hospital Wing, but the real catalyst of their friendship was Nellie helping Chiara through the Woflsbane incident with Lupin.

Complicated:

Skye Parkin | They were once very good friends. Unfortunately, the drama surrounding Nellie getting trained and befriended by Erika all occurred in the month leading up to Rowan’s demise. Having Skye—someone Nellie considered a close friend—be so caught up in her own grudges and jealousy that she called off their friendship in a fit of anger not even a month after Rowan had died, while Erika—a friend she had only just started to make—acted as her rock throughout the whole grieving process, really changed Nellie’s perspective on Skye. To be fair, Skye did eventually apologize, and they picked up the pieces as best they could, but things were never the same.

Ben Copper | Truly, Nellie had always liked Ben. While his fear over just about everything could be grating, Nellie knew it was outside of his control, and to her, his kind and gentle nature far outweighed his cowardice. Unfortunately, the reveal that Ben was being used by R undoubtedly damaged their relationship, even though Nellie believed him when he claimed to be cursed. Their relationship only grows more strained as Ben’s personality shifts, with Nellie being concerned by his recklessness and frustrated by his overprotectiveness, and Ben annoyed by her refusal to accept how he’d changed.

Merula Snyde | Anyone would tell you that Nellie and Merula got off to a bad start. They were rivals from the start, and no matter how many times Nellie tried to extend an olive branch, sick and tired of fighting and wanting to move on, Merula seemed content to burn them. It wasn’t until they were pulled together as Rakepick’s assistants that their relationship started to change for the better. They respected and trusted each other out of necessity, at first, but slowly began to genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Their jabs softened, and maybe, just maybe, there started to be an inkling of some sort of attraction. But of course, any bond formed due to Rakepick’s interference was set up for failure, and any progress they’d made was completely abandoned in the wake of her betrayal. Now, neither is quite sure where they stand. They can’t just go back to hating each other, but whatever they’d started to develop isn’t going to work either.

Enemies:

Ismelda Murk | Nellie has sympathy for Ismelda, she really does. But sympathy doesn’t excuse how mean spirited Ismelda can be, with her violent threats and condescending sneer. The two have simply never liked each other, and that dislike only deepened when Barnaby’s interest in Nellie became near. As much as Ismelda claimed to be over him, she resented that he chose a perky, obnoxious Hufflepuff over her.

Patricia Rakepick | This should go without saying. Patricia Rakepick is a vile, hateful witch, who doesn’t care who she hurts in pursuit of her goals. Not only was she a direct contributor to Jake’s disappearance, but she murdered Rowan, an innocent, in cold blood. Nellie has never been the violent sort. She’s always been a pacifist, always trying to talk her way out of conflict and, if that doesn’t work, aiming to disarm instead of harm. But for Rakepick, she thinks she could make an exception. She wants to see Rakepick suffer. It scares her more than she wants to admit.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

Nellie’s favorite physical trait of hers was always her hair. She absolutely treasured it, growing it out long for 15 years and carefully tending to it to make sure it stayed shiny, healthy, and soft. She prided herself on it...until the day she tried to run to Merula’s aid in the Buried Vault, and Patricia Rakepick grabbed her by her long golden braid to stop her. She came back to Hogwarts for her 6th year with all that long, beloved hair cut off into a bob. It was more practical, she said, and refused to answer any questions.

On the subject of her hair, Nellie ends up going grey fairly early. Her hair is entirely white by the time she’s 30 years old.

An incredibly physically affectionate person, Nellie is always touching people, hugging and holding hands and linking arms. Notably, she kissed the top of Rowan’s head every time she said goodbye.

Her and Rowan called each other “sweet girl” and “smart girl” respectively.

Nellie’s pet name for Barnaby is just to say “Barnaby dear” as though it’s one word, and it never fails to make him giddy.

Both Barnaby and Nellie have always wanted to create large, happy families for themselves, so it should come as no surprise that they end up having five daughters: Ivy (Ravenclaw), Jade (Ravenclaw), Miri (Hufflepuff), Aurora (Slytherin), and Rowan (Hufflepuff). Many were surprised Nellie waited until her last child to use Rowan’s namesake, but the truth was, she never quite felt ready.

As a frequent visitor to the Burrow, Nellie knew all the Weasleys well, and even babysat Ron and Ginny for free on a few occasions.

Bill and Jacob never get along. Though Bill can logically understand that Jacob was trying to protect Nellie the only way he knew, he can never quite forgive Jacob for the distress he caused her. And while Jacob knows that Nellie needed support when he wasn’t there and he should be grateful that someone else was, some part of him resents Bill for “taking his spot” as Nellie’s big brother.

While Nellie focused her attentions on the way her friends had changed, Rakepick’s betrayal changed her as well. She hardly slept her entire 6th year, jumping at every sound and always looking over her shoulder. Her naivety, one of her defining characteristics, withered, leaving only wariness behind. She went from trusting everyone, to trusting no one.

Melissa was born and raised in China by strict parents Rose never got to see. A hard worker at school and in her family home, she eventually got herself a job as a bank manager. She moved to Japan in hopes of settling trade issues between China and Japan--it was there where she met Rose’s father. She is now working as a representative of the Chinese national bank, and her consistent travelling between the two countries resulted in a lack of bonding between her children.

Father: Ashina Tanaka

Before Ryotaro Tanaka stepped foot into Mahoutokoro, Ashina went first. He was a good student at Mahoutokoro, but not a face everyone remembered so well; he constantly kept to himself and buried himself in his work all the time. The few friends he did have, he rarely kept connections with after graduating. Still, he took delicate care in everything he did, and eventually opened a shop where he made crafts and learned the old Japanese arts upon graduating.

Brother: Kyoru Tanaka

Kyoru Tanaka was Rose’s older brother who was first considered for Mahoutokoro but eventually chose to go to Hogwarts when his letter of acceptance arrived from that school. Despite the geographical distance he made the trips to and from King’s Cross work. Just like his father, Kyoru kept to himself a lot, and he made very few friends in his time there. Upon his imprisonment in the buried vault he thought nothing of the impact he left on the rest of his family.

Cousin: Cho Chang

Cho Chang is six years younger than Rose and aspires to be a good flier like her cousin. Though they never really met much she heard of her older cousin’s stories and eventually got sorted into Ravenclaw in her first year, when Rose was then made Head Girl.

Grandmother: Fei-Ying Tanaka

Rose was very close with her paternal grandmother who was just equally proud of her son and his achievements. When she was younger they would spend a lot of time together while Kyoru was in school, and from her grandmother she would learn how to read and write in Japanese, communicate and read and write in English, and understand more of her culture and her family history.

Background/History:

Rose lived a rather detached sort of life within her family when she was younger. The one person she had a firm relationship with at the time was her grandmother, who always took her out on trips to the park while teaching her many different things. Her father was busy manning the shop soon after Kyoru started to attend school, and as for her mother she barely saw her around a lot either. During this time, though, Rose did learn a few useful things from her father as well as her grandmother--she soon mastered the ancient art of origami and ink drawings.

Eventually, Kyoru went missing in the summer of 1982, and two years later Rose began to attend Hogwarts. Before September 1 every year, she would move to her aunt’s place and live with her cousin, Cho.

Hogwarts Mystery unfolded.

Upon graduation, Rose went back to Japan and at first contemplated on using her talents to teach at Mahoutokoro, but the memories she had of the wizard in white robes ambushing her on R’s orders were enough to make her refuse her placement. Instead, she sought a position on one of the Japanese Quidditch teams. She eventually was placed in the substitute roster on the Toyohashi Tengu as Seeker, but her exceptional talents on the pitch eventually bumped her up to the starting roster. She was eventually admitted to the Japanese National Quidditch team, and represented her country in the 1994 Quidditch Cup. Although the team did not make it into the final, she still revelled in her glory.

Well, that was, until Talbott reached out to her while she was recovering from minor injuries from the matches. She was hesitant to reach out to him in return, but remembering her promise to him she eventually started a correspondence with him.

Rose fought along with her peers at the Battle of Hogwarts and survived. After Hogwarts was fully rebuilt, she took over as the Flying Coach at Hogwarts, and then the Quidditch referee certified by the British Ministry of Magic, when Madam Hooch eventually retired.

Rose did not consider marriage throughout this time, but eventually she reconnected with Talbott and the flame reignited. They got married in early 1999. Current legacies undetermined.

Personality:

Rose is not at all like the rest of her family--much like her grandmother, she is understanding and patient with everyone she meets. Rowan was actually the first one to break through that shell the rest of her family had cast upon her, and she became much more open and friendly. She’s not afraid to get a little competitive at times with her peers, but it was all for fun in the end. Still, she knows well where her loyalties lie. She would snap shut if something upsets her, and break down if the situation bore too much pressure. Her way of venting involved making a lot of origami and writing in a small notebook--almost like a journal--or furiously writing essays that didn’t pertain to academics.

Misc:

Rose’s favourite colour is pink, but perhaps that came from the fact that she was literally named after a flower.

Rose and Tulip actually share a close kinship based on the fact that they were named after flowers. Admittedly, Rose was about to be named Blossom when she was born, but her father once surprised her mother with an elegantly painted origami rose which spurred the change of name before her birth.

Rose could make origami. She trained her patience through it.

Despite Rose not warming up to flying at first, she eventually became really good at it and so continued to foster her talents in that subject area.

When Duncan was eventually killed, he nearly lost it. He couldn’t believe one of his best friends died because of him.

Rakepick used his need for power and want to be strong enough to help his sister to manipulate him into continuing with the Vaults until his disappearance.

Background/History

Aleksia was born in England on December 10th, 1972 to parents William and Leanna. She grew up with her father, mother and brother Jacob, however, her fathers family was a big part of her life. From the time she was little she was seen as weak, not just because she was the youngest, but because she wasn’t like the rest of her family. Her entire family consists of Slytherins, with the exception of a couple of Ravenclaws. She is the only Gryffindor in the family, to which the whole family was shamed by. Her cousin Henry in particular hated Aleksia, and would often beat on her, which was allowed by the adults and seen as him playing and venting out his frustrations. Jacob was the only one who was on her side, but not all the time. She was often punished by her father and put outside, not being let in until morning. That is when she met Revena Sevier and Merric Nyx, who also were kids living on the streets. They all became very close, and would take care of each other. Revena and Merric were eventually adopted by a music shop owner, who would let Aleksia stay with them when she was put outside.

Aleksia and her mother eventually moved after Jacob’s disappearance, and moved to Scotland. William still had a hold of them financially, and still had a hold of them, but less. Aleksia’s mother became very controlling and protective after this, which made them butt heads alot. Aleksia didn’t completely trust her mother, since she often went with her fathers will and didn’t fight back. Even years after she was learning to trust her. Aleksia’s father would sometimes try to visit Hogwarts to leave notes and things for her to manipulate her or would try to see her.

When she went to Hogwarts and looking into the Vaults, she found that it gave her purpose. She found alot of great friends, and learned to truly trust people. She and Merula definitely had a problem with each other right away. Merula reminded Aleksia of her cousin Henry, and immediately had her guard up. They eventually get a mutual civility by sixth year. Not friendship, but civil relationship.

Henry went to Hogwarts for the first couple of years before being transferred to Durmstrang to learn more. During the years he was there, whenever they saw each other, he would try to jinx her and hurt her. She eventually had enough and attacked him, leaving him to go into the hospital wing.

It was after the ice vaults, that she started to develop her ice affinity, and began exploring her family background. From then on she often could be found studying ice glyphs and conjuring. By the time she was 18 years old, she was able to conjure an ice guardian for a short while, and by the time the war came, she was even stronger.She could conjure it and make return it whenever she wanted.

One time during her sixth year, she was forced to go to visit her father, and there he tried to tell her that she was going to have to get married right after Hogwarts. He had set up an arranged marriage. He blackmailed her, saying that he would make her life hell and that she needed to continue the family purity. When she returned to Hogwarts she isolated herself for days until she finally emerged from her room depressed and hopeless. Her friends came to her rescue and cheered her up.

Personality

Extroverted: Aleksia is very personable and enjoys being around people. She is able to charm most people with her upbeat personality. Of course this doesn’t mean that she doesn’t like her alone time. She loves it. However, if she is isolated for too long she gets depressed.

Stubborn and Hot Headed: Oh boy this girl is STUBBORN. She will not back down for most things. If she wants to make a point, she will stick with it and find evidence that it is true just to show she is correct. However, if someone shows her real evidence to the contrary, she will back down. She has gotten into fights before, but not for no reason. If someone messes with her or her friends she will get in their face. She has head butted Merula before for bullying Ben.

Reckless: She can be quite reckless and put herself into harm's way without thinking. She often pushes herself past her limits and is often needed to be reminded that she needs to take care of herself. Despite her being reckless, she is not reckless when it comes to others, only herself.

Hard working: She is an exemplary student and very intelligent. She excels in most classes and always seeking to learn new things. If she wasn’t in Gryffindor she most likely would’ve been placed in Ravenclaw.

Caring: She cares too much at times. She is so selfless that she always is looking after others and making sure they are looking after themselves. She will always help others in need no matter what. She even helped Ismelda with her crush despite the fact that Ismelda has been shitty to her, and despite the fact that Aleksia was in love with Barnaby.

For Aleksia’s 15th birthday, Barnaby purchases a plush wolf for her, which she absolutely treasures and cuddles with.

Aries family females have the ability to produce ice glyphs and if powerful enough ,can summon an ice guardian. Aleksia is the second one in the family that can conjure a guardian.

Barnaby and Aleksia wait until they are 24 to get married. Their wedding is sweet with close friends.

When death eaters were freed, Barnaby and Aleksia moved around quite a bit, knowing that Barnaby’s parents would look for him.

Aleksia’s cousin, Henry, joined the death eaters soon after.

Aleksia and Barnaby were separated after a death eater attack. Aleksia was found by Henry and he used the Cruciatus curse on her. He left her for dead bloodied and broken. She was found by Penny and Rowan, who Barnaby had contacted after the attack.

They end up having 3 children with Barnaby, Kieran and Kaia and youngest Faye.
