Just got to the end of Skypeia and I’m glad that I stuck through the first part. It was terrible, someone personally came and bashed my soul with a hockey stick repeatedly. 10/10 loved it, I think it’s an important arc to establish themes in One piece and specific concepts.

I THOUGHT EVERYONE HAD FUCKING DIED???? I THOUGHT THE WHOLE ENELEIM GAME WAS TELLING US THAT PEOPLE WERE DYING??

I just guess this is like a Pell scenario where people aren’t dying in the earlier arcs. Idk, the final part is so cute and sweet (and still I think is a good way to establish One Piece beyond what we’ve already had- Arlong Park, Drum Island, and Alabasta all present the themes (plus Luffy’s character) too; along with Axe-Hand Morgan stuff and buggy).

Uhhhhh something something… I REALLY LIKE HOW A LOT OF LUFFY’S FIGHTS WITH ENEL SHOWED HIS SMARTS. Idk if I’m just in stupid parts of the fandom but a lot of what u read when people write the characters sometimes feel like they dumb Luffy down a whole bunch, but we see Luffy actively absorbing information and using it to his advantage during his fight (notably for me when he used the giant gold ball to disperse the Raigo)

This was mean to just be the first paragraph 😭😭. Anyway uhhh, one piece more like one peak (I still have my critiques of it too and stuff but after all of PJO I don’t want to complain for awhile- at least until the next pjo post lol). Uhhhh… maybe I’ll just post the intro post without the master list done (master lists are really hard 😔).

Something something… I was put through the wringer with my one piece ocs (one piece film gold.. I was going insane.) I’ll talk about them when I feel confident enough.

The day that people accept that Frank Zhang is more than just an insecure but strong softie is the day I rest because WHY does nobody remember little vro being canonically pessimistic as fuck. Even if he didn't say half the things he thought (which he most certainly did), the guy was absolutely the mayor of frown town at times.

What do you mean you never realized he was bitter and resentful outside of Leo? You missed the part where he started acting out after his mother died? HE SHATTERED HIS GRANDMA'S FINE CHINA DAWG. Brochacho constantly got frustrated by how perfect Percy was. He was pissed when Hazel held hands with Leo. HE CHOKESLAMED CALIGULA?? THAT TRIP GUY? He definitely CONSIDERED beating the shit out of Nico when be couldn't heal her. WIPED OUT A FLEET OF THOSE POISON SPEWING COWS?? he set himself on FIRE. That man can turn himself into a dragon, a swarm of bees, and fuck knows what else. A praetor with Mar's ability to control the dead.

OBVIOUSLY Frank is a gentle guy, but it's BECAUSE he's GROWN to be emotionally mature enough to deal with most of those emotions. That dude had Ares AND Mars telling him to beat the shit out of fuck ass da grease ball. HE SHOVED A SOCK IN A GODDESSES MOUTH, HIS OWN DAMN SOCK.

I need more angsty Frank that isn't just him hating his body or Leo. Those were just the tip of the iceberg for a whole mother load of issues.

Octavian Week!

Day one Apocalypse Au musings…

These first bullet points are for a non-demigod au

Camp Jupiter is a community formed not long after the actual zombie virus started spreading, based off of a desperate need to return to tradition and people believing that to begin rebuilding the world they should copy the Roman Empire

The steep hills surrounding the camp keep the community safe, along with its mandatory military training that every citizen goes through. Walls built years ago help remind the community of what their ancestors lived through and protects them from stray zombie backs that wander in a little bit.

Octavian is one of the most important members of the community, having trained under the oracle’s and priests around him practically all his life he now has taken over the role as the main Oracle of the Legion. He takes his job seriously, every sacrifice has so much more weight- it could’ve become food that could’ve fed the community, but now tells them of their fortunes.

Octavian is wary around the new people that are allowed into Camp by the senate. But he thinks he’s starting to warm up to them a little- Michael tells him fantastical stories about the world outside of the camp and of the journey his family took off the islands. It inspires him, it excites Octavian; thinking about what the rest of the world might possibly look like.

Octavian follows Michael out on scavenging missions occasionally. Usually he shouldn’t have been leaving the safety of camp, but he’s allowed when in the safety of a whole cohort that are taking the dangerous journey out to the cities; it’s safer in large numbers though, and they need the metal and everything else they could possibly scavenge. It doesn’t matter to Octavian that he’s there to look for signs and take things on the medical side, not when they reach the crest of the hills and he sees all the wildflowers and the cities overtaken by nature. It’s beautiful in a way.

Octavian and Michael manage to find a dog out in this place and chose to bring it in- diversifying the gene pool of their animals in camp was important after all. Plus the scruffy little thing seemed to like Michael nearly immediately, and trots behind him so confidently.

This trip is where they stumble upon a lone girl; Reyna. Who claims she came up all the way from South America and the Caribbean, and that she left her sister at a different settlement. Michael wants to welcome her in immediately, Octavian is more cautious but when she proves to be uninfected, they bring her back to the cohort.

Octavian and Michael who rest easy because zombies have been nearly eradicated in the Bay Area thanks to the legion’s diligent work, but who still keep their guards up when they hear walking in the night. Who startle when the stray dog they found starts growling at a corner just for a group of zombies to be wandering.

They managed to leave quickly, it’s not the grand fight that any of them might’ve imagined- but it’s easier, and when it’s only their small group and when their carrying as many old pieces of fallen debris that they can. Not to mention the rest of the legion with the deconstructed pieces of cars, buildings, and other machines.

The virus is still a threat, yes. But with zombie numbers dying in the area thanks to the legion’s systematic eradication and just zombies starving out, it almost seems like the Bay Area could be the first zombie-free area. That maybe they could expand and reclaim the cities just beyond the camp.

Sorry this is so short!!! My family and I are actually moving to the Bay Area (Kleos secretly a legionnaire allegations/j) and I almost forgot about Octavian week!! I have a lot of thoughts about a Camp Jupiter apocalypse au and maybe I’ll share those one day, but this is what I have to give as of today!

Hi, welcome back everyone we’ve pivoted from PJO to One Piece (Kleos Dressrosa map….) for the time being, and I just- there are two characters that I viscerally hate. It’s Sanji and Shanks (<- this two number doesn’t include everyone else that I hate because these two are on a different level).

I CANT EVEN BACK UP HOW MUCH I HATE THIS STUPID ALCOHOLIC BECAUSE OTHER CHARACTERS TO SIMILAR BAD THINGS BUT I LIKE TJEM. He makes me mad, mad, mad, mad. I thought he was silly and fun in the beginning until he starting blowing up all my favorite fucking characters. It sucks because they deserved it to- Barto got what was coming to him after he burned the flag and Kidd was asking for it. BUT IT STILL MAKES ME MAD.

This is my will solace of One Piece. HE’S A SILLY MAN, A SILLY SILLY GUY- I WANT TO LIKE HIM I REALLY DO. But I’m just reminded of the several crews he just deleted, that smug smirk hides his devious intent. He fucking blew up Wire.
