house md is kind of like how people have described breaking bad to me. what ive heard about breaking bad is that at the beginning you kind of root for walter, but as the series goes on you eventually realize you canāt anymoreāeven tho you feel bad for him, his situation can no longer justify his actions. house md is kinda like that. for the first few seasons youāre like āyeah ik heās an asshole but itās obvious heās going thru a lot and he has a lot of unresolved traumaā but as the seasons go on you kinda realize āwait, house is a self-sabotaging borderline man-child who refuses any long term or beneficial treatment because heās obsessed with the idea of losing his āgiftāā, among other things. you can feel bad for house but as he keeps doing crazy shit, refuses everyoneās attempts at helping him, ignores/dismisses the people who still care about him then ruin their lives, you realize that his trauma and issues can no longer justify his behaviour.
and idk maybe someoneās gonna respond to this being like āerm actually the point was never to sympathize with houseā but i did, at the beginning. i really did feel for him. even in seasons where i felt he had lost all goodwill, sometimes there was episodes where i could sympathize with him. like at the end of season 6 when the doctors have to help out when an apartment complex (i think? or some rly big building idk) collapsed and they have to get ppl out. house meets this women whoās leg is stuck under the rubble. he kinda has this moment when they encourage amputating her leg where he stubbornly insists that they shouldnāt and tries to find any other possible way to do it. i kinda felt like i was back in the earlier seasons thenāi could see exactly why house had his reasons, and to a degree i could understand. even tho heās fully projecting, heās still fighting for this women to survive as intact as possible (even if it doesnāt pan out, but i digress). so idk, just some thoughts before i start season eight. im so fed up with this man i am simultaneously excited for and dreading the finale of this show
#house md#gregory house#house#greg house#guys even b4 i say it is it obvious i just finished s7#this show is a prison i swear#im losing my mind i was watching the s7 finale head in hands yelling at my screen#james wilson#lisa cuddy#im so done with this man i swear if i ever see house on the street itās on sight

I have so many questions for season 4
Reginald was an alien. They knew that and then they came back to life after he tried to murder them and just⦠never asked him about it? They were like āyeah cool wtvā?
How does Claire know that Klaus is immortal? Is she aware of everyoneās powers? Did Alison tell her all about her dysfunctional super family?
WHY DOES LUTHER GO SEMI APE MODE FROM THE MARIGOLD? It wasnāt a part of his original powers!
Why is the marigold they take this season janky? Like why do they get sick? Did Reginaldās wife spike it? Or was it simply that they consumed it as fully grown adults instead of being born with it?
How did Reginald control so much of the US of A?? Like his people are literally leading the charge against Jean and Gene? How?
Why did that girl break up with Viktor? What do you mean he knows? I wanna know too!
What was up with the hotel in season 3? Why did have that samurai thing? Idk Iām lost
WHO THE FUCK BUILT THE SUBWAY STATION THAT FIVE BLINKED TO? THERE WAS A MAP SO CLEARLY SOMEONE BUILT IT, right? RIGHT?
How did Five and Lila spend 7 years on that fucking train and never run across another version of Five?
Why is there a Five DoppelgƤnger Owned Deli in that subway station? Are we meant to understand that in several other timelines he loses his powers, ingests ājankyā Marigold and then gets this specific power? Or was this part of his original power set and he just never discovered it? If so, then why was the colour his blinking aura changed to purple from his usual blue? What is happening?
How did Claire and Lila and Diegoās kids survive without ALISON, DIEGO AND LILA NEVER HAVING EXISTED? I donāt think thatās how genetics work???
Why do we only see a fucking field of the original timeline⦠is there nothing else in that world or
Does Klaus know how Ben died? Seeing as he could talk to, you know, BEN?? Did he ever tell his siblings? If not? If he too were brainwashed, did og Ben never tell him the truth?
WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT BEN ON THE SUBWAY, READING A BOOK AND WEARING GLASSES? Who was that? What was the point of seeing him in the post credit scene for season3 and then NEVER EVER AGAIN?
Why are any of them so invested in saving Sparrow Ben? Heās mostly a dick? Did they get some development off screen????
How did one version of Five establish the Commission and never hire any other version of Five than the one we saw? If he did, did he keep track of all the Fives under his employment? To make sure to avoid any paradoxes?
There is a 6 year time jump but when Viktor asks Alison if sheās double crossing them again by teaming up with Reginald, Alison categorically says, āI havenāt met the man in 5 yearsāā¦. Does that mean she used to go over to the mansion for brunch every Sunday for a year?
Where the fuck did that man with a goldfish for his head come from? Why did he have an entire body?
Why did Lila get a family but no one else did?
WHY DID JENNIFER COME OUT OF A FUCKING SQUID?
Why does Diego not have all the skills he should from all the training he was put through? Also why is he called fat the entire season only to be shown to have WASHBOARD ABS!!?
Iām sure there are logical answers to some of these but I donāt know any.

I think the fandom kinda confused by the idea that being scared or anxious automatically means you're weak??? since it's practically most of Jay's personality
honestly, Iād say part of the blame falls on the writers too. Jayās character has been insanely inconsistentānot just in his personality, but also in how he contributes to the team. this whole thing couldāve been avoided if we got more Jay centric moments that actually showcased what he could do in the long run, not just in one-off scenes
what has been consistent is that Jay is often portrayed as the āweakerā one compared to the other ninja,,,,which I guess is one of the reasons why people perceive him that way in general. It really doesnāt help his case because nothing about Jayās character feels balanced
heās shown as bad at this, not good at that, the butt of the joke, the annoying oneāitās like all the focus is on his bad parts, while the good parts barely get any attention
Idk. every other main character has had proper exploration not just of their personalities, but also of their elemental powers. and all of them have been portrayed somewhat consistently until now
like. I donāt think weāve ever seen Jay go all out with his lightning or strength for more than a single minute. he does these cool moments for a few chunks of seconds and that's basically what we're gonna get for the whole season. who knows if we'll see that part of him again in the next season
huge example. the fact that he survived everything in Season 6 proves heās strong and smart. but then the writers never really follow up on that character development, so what's the point
OR, that 3 seconds of moments of him being able to move lightning straight from the sky? that's a neat one. does he ever do that again? nope
then came the 11 minutes era where they softened his character a bit way too much. aside from a few glimpses in Seasons 12 and 14, they barely gave him any oomph moments that helped him stand out for a long run. Itās honestly such a waste
I think Doc once mentioned that Jay has never been weak;he's always been strong in response to people saying otherwise, which is such a cool answer to me. It heavily implies that all bro really needs is the spotlight he rightfully deserves lol
@chebyshevptera sorry for the taggg, my tumblr is glitchy and won't allow me to inbox you kjdskds but it's a silly ramble reply from this convo

How do you feel about the other couples on the show? Glenn and Maggie, Carol and Ezekiel, Denise and Tara, Aaron and his husband (forgot his name), Abraham and Rosita, Abraham and Sasha, Father Gabriel and Rosita, Daryl and Connie.
This oneās interesting! Iāve never really delved into other TWD couples all that much, so it was fun to write my little take on each of the ones you asked about here. I wrote it in order of my least to most favorite of these couples. Thanks for the question.āŗļø
#8: Father Gabriel and Rosita: I must admit, when these two first kissed in that S9 time jump, I thought for sure we were watching a Father Gabriel dream sequence lol. They were the most wth couple from the seasons I watched. Even Father G and Jadis made more sense since they both have had snake tendencies throughout their TWD tenure. To me, Rosita and Siddiq were the better pair, and it would have been nice to see them last together.
#7: Denise and Tara: Denise was definitely the better half of this couple. I really liked her, and was never crazy about Tara. To me, the most likable thing about Tara was her relationship with Denise. Both before and after her relationship with Denise, I really didnāt care much for her. But as a couple, I thought they were overall sweet in the brief moments that focused on them.
#6: Abraham and Rosita: I think Abraham and Rositaās breakup scene really taints my overall view of this relationship because it was so cold hearted and made it seem like what they had was never as meaningful to Abe as it was to Rosita which was sad.. They were okay together, even tho in retrospect they do seem like a pairing that made it work rather than just being naturally really compatible.
#5: Aaron and Eric: They didnāt get much focus together, so I didnāt really have any particular feeling about this couple. They were cool and I like that they sorta took Daryl in when the group first arrived at ASZ. I was super neutral on them but then their final moments together in season 8 were genuinely heartfelt, and so that made me care more about them just as they were saying goodbye.
#4: Carol and Ezekiel: I liked these two together. They were quite opposite from each other but it worked. It was nice seeing Carol get to experience a genuinely good guy who really loved and respected her after enduring Ed. Exekiel brought out a lighthearted optimism in Carol that she needed and he felt she saw him for more than his royal persona which he needed. It was sad they split after losing Henry. I get they have to grieve in their own ways but it was disappointing that Zeke got a little emotionally abandoned when she left him. That situation made me all the more grateful that Richonneās marriage survived and remained truly healthy after losing their kid.
#3: Glenn and Maggie: Ok so this one is interesting because of course I really like Glenn and Maggie together but Iāve just never been crazy about how they initially got together in s2. It was fitting I guess for two young people in an apocalypse but idk itās a little rushed. And then because they were supposed to be the prominent twd love story it started to feel like they had less and less involvement in other parts of the story. I think Glenn especially was under utilized in s5 and s6. But their love and devotion to each other was moving, especially in season 3. One of the most heartfelt elements of their storyline was seeing Hershel come to embrace Glenn as a son. Itās good Glenn and Maggie found each other in this world. And thinking about it now, Iād have loved to see Glenn, Maggie, Rick, & Michonne on a run or excursion or something together in Richonneās canon era before Glenn was tragically taken for good.
#2: Daryl and Connie: These two would absolutely be my 2nd favorite twd couple below Richonne, if they had become canon. Daryl & Connie really should have been official because theyāre so good together. And it really seems like the only reason they didnāt is because of outside schedule conflicts and maybe Daryl needing to be solo for his France spin-off. But I loved this pair, Once Rick left TWD, the show had so few threads and relationships that felt fresh and compelling imo, and the ones that still had heart were Michonne and her kids and Daryl and Connie to me. I love the way they understood each other and the way Connie brought out such a sweet side of Daryl. They both lit up around each other. They had a great natural chemistry. And their energy together was so sweet and warm. I always like to think whenever Daryl comes back home and Rick gets to observe Daryl around Connie, Rickās gonna quickly pick up on something between them and let Daryl know he should go for it.
#1: Abraham and Sasha: This one surprised me and their time as a couple was brief, but I actually really loved these two together. And I felt the show did a good job of making both Sashaās relationships (with Bob and then with Abe) feel just right for her in their own unique ways. After she had experienced so much loss and trauma in season 5, Iām glad Sasha got to find new love and enjoyment in life again with Abraham in season 6. I like that Abeās humor and Sashaās no-nonsense actually balanced each other out and brought out good sides of each other. I think itās so heartwarming that Abraham felt so hopeful about the future because of being with Sasha and even wanted a kid with her. And that peace sign he gives her in the lineup and Sashaās reaction to itš. That small heartbreaking moment between them lingered with me for awhile. Then I liked getting even more insight into their loving and supportive dynamic in Sashaās flashbacks from her final episode. For being such a short-lived relationship they got me to care and believe they sincerely found a good thing with each other.

SO like, I've been thinking about Malevolent again bc I listened to da capo this morning. And I have some very shitty predictions for what might happen in season 6!
Originally, when The Manager said:
i thought it would mean that we would see some of the former characters, like The Butcher, Kellin, sir Vale (just to name a few off the top of my head). Because they have all ended up in the dark world. It could be meeting the dead characters again, but I have another theory. The dark world is where everything that dies goes, right? No matter what dimension they were in. So like we could see different Arthur's and John's, because we know that most of them didn't survive or shit went really really bad for them.
And all of this got me thinking that maybe we could find out more about these alternative John and Arthur's and how they came to be yk. And maybe they'll like, reveal information that they know about Kayne which will help Arthur and John stop him. Idk tho, but i do hope that we can meet this alternative version of Jarthur. TLDR: Season 6 with either have the return of dead characters, or we will get to meet different versions of Jarthur in the dark world.
#It makes sense if you dont think about it for too long hahaha#i just really want darkthur tbh#and considering that we know that these version of john and arthur exist it could be possible#malevolent theory#malevolent podcast#The dark world malevolent#john doe malevolent#arthur lester malevolent#da capo malevolent#malevolent season 6 predictions#Ezra's fandom thoughts

The Handmaidās Tale 6x02 - āExileā (or "Yeah, Yeah, We Knew They'd Be Back")š
Damned if this show doesn't have a tight stranglehold on my brain, here I still have to file my taxes and a million other things and keep blowing them off to ramble on more about June and Nick and the Gilead gang instead. So sue me, the story is just so much more interesting than 1099's and laundry! Anyway.
Note: for this recap (as with 6x01) I've largely consolidated plotlines by character/location/plot chronology in favor of how scenes are presented chronologically in the episode. Obviously the editing/placement of scenes is an important part of the experience of watching the show but this just helps me keep my thoughts better organized and hopefully be a little (maybe tiny bit) more concise lol. Not sure this will stay consistent, may depend on the episode. As always, screencap & captions are my own.
The opening of the episode "Exile" presents like the prologue of a gorgeously dark fairytale in the the nighttime woods, with floating leaves that almost looks like tiny glowing orbs of light. I'm just waiting for an ethereal voice to start narrating "Once upon a time", but the only thing we hear aside from the fairytale prologue score is the creature sounds of the forest, the rustling of the wind and the increasingly distant train engine as it travels far into the west, leaving us behind. Then, a baby cries. A woman breathes in pain. The exiled queen and her little prince Serena and Noah have, perhaps Ā miraculously, survived the jump/fall (helpful push, no?) from the train intact and uninjured (although Serena does seem to be limping a tad?) and of COURSE the first building they come upon in this wilderness is a freaking church, just so Serena gets to continue feeling justified in her faith that she is God's very favorite special child. Unfortunately, though, the church seems to be locked up tight so there go Serena Joy's romantic fantasies of dramatically throwing the doors open, yelling āSANCTUARY!ā (just me?). Fortunately, they are come upon by a woman just heading out, who hears them and asks if help is needed. Serena awakes in the car to daylight, having arrived at her sanctuary in the form of a religious faith-based farm cult community they call Canaan, "still in Canada", we are reassured. Honestly it's really a bit hard to tell at first if they are Gilead-religious or just āregularā religious (props to Gilead I guess for by comparison making even some of the more wacky extremist religious groups irl look, idk, pretty chill actually?) The leader, Abigail, seems to know there's something more to "Rachael's" story (really Serena? Subtle as ever), but still she warmly welcomes the newcomers into their women-and-children only community. I mean Serena does infer sheās not a āregular refugeeā (Iām a cool refugee) so I guess there's that.
In Alaska, we are treated to another super sweet ālet me be your mirror" parallel/callback, this time with granny Holly singing to baby Holly, as June slowly rouses (ostensibly the morning after arriving). Holly immediately clocks that her granddaughter is SO smart (a little genius!), bittersweetly calling to mind Nick's words way back in season 2 (nah, she's too smart, like her mom). June doesn't want her handmaid ear tag out (not until all the handmaids are free) but she will take some pancakes (another Osborne tradition/callback). June and her mom catch up about what has happened: where they've been and how they survived. It would seem like Holly WAS the "doctor who gave a shit" at the liberated agricultural colony the refugee on the train was talking about... except that the timeline seems off: Holly says her colony was freed 6 months ago and I swore the woman on the train said for her it was just one month, so perhaps it's just a coincidence. Regardless, it is good to know the army may be fairly prolific in liberating multiple colonies (although this also does seem to call into question somewhat Mark's statement that their military is essentially fully depleted?). Anyway. June recounts her and Hannah's harrowing capture and her current state "She's healthy and so, so beautiful. And I've really tried to save her, I really tried to get her out." And then, heartbreakingly, "But the last time I saw her... she didn't remember me..." Holly is oh so gentle and empathetic in this scene, and June gets some long-awaited comfort and validation (that she never thought she'd be able to get) from her mother, who tells her "oh you are tough" and that she knew June would survive (it was what kept her going) *sob*.
(Holly squaredš)
Luke is being freed from jail and god does this show love a cool shot of puzzle-like stairs or what?--as he descends (interestingly) his way to freedom (for now at least). Mark has gotten him out on bail but it seems he's still some long months away from a trial. At least he finds out that the train with June and Nichole made it safely to Alaska, but he's still on the very verge of LOSING it given everything going on--namely his arrest from defending June from the murder attempt, and importantly, Hannah still being trapped in Gilead and inching everĀ closer to "marriageability" age. Now there are some that may say to Luke's raging "she's getting older EVERY DAY" that, well Luke, she hasn't been frozen in time before, she's has actually been getting older every day for the last 7 years now and it hasn't seemed that urgent to you til now,Ā but to that I would say... actually nothing, because that would be accurate. Still I suppose that maybe somehow the urgency didn't hit him as hard until he saw her in purple and June freak out about the purple, or that until June came home wanting to fight and make Gilead pay he didn't realize there was any other way of fighting back besides going to the overworked overwhelmed embassy saying "a little help please?" But now that I'm reading this back it doesn't sound like a great excuse either. Listen, IDK what does on in the man's head but he is clearly just a ball of rage and nerves right now so when Moira lets it slip that "Mayday is doing something" he spits out "I'm in" with nary a question asked (really, I think there should have been at least one or two questions, Luke). As Moira says "you don't even know what that means" which again he blows off but we shall see there may be consequences later.
Back in good old Gilead, Commander Lawrence has maintained his same signature snarky brand of humor since we last saw him but also, my goodness, is he also not downright jolly(?) this season? (and praise be, the fun neck cravats are back!) At first blush one might say it must be the influence of his new bride and the honeymoon period but no, it seems the imminent success of launching his pet project NB to the world is what has him in such high spirits, even in spite of having to endure Naomi's expedited and determined efforts to fully redecorate his haunted gothic mansion. (I have a confession:Ā I realized I am actually both these toxic people in the relationship, 1. "but it's ugly and it's ruining the room! AND variably also 2. I have this room to keep my things in! All the things! None of my things are ugly though of course!). This odd couple dynamic is great fun to watch and as finally an official series regular this season, Ever Carradine's fantastic comedic leaning into Naomi's newly wedded "bliss" (and later her on-and-off rivalry with Serena) was a real bright spot of levity for me here.
As Nick retraces the steps of his epic wedding reception punch and to his great amusement comes upon the happy honeymooners' little lovers' spat, Lawrence greets him with a ⦠"hey Champ" (lol) and takes the excuse to withdraw to the study for a boys chat (but not before reminding his bride "don't touch these, please!.... āIām a⦠commanderā. But Lawrence hasn't safely escaped the disrespect yet because as he implores the younger commander "I didn't have anything to do with (the attempt on June's life), you believe me?" Nick hits back with a smirk:"I donāt believe you have the power or the capability" OH SNAP. Again, the sass at peak levels, season 6 Nick does NOT give a fuck anymore and Iām here for it. Just full of snark and (sexual) frustration. Our boy, fuck yes. Daddy Wharton suddenly joins them and commences a congratulatory chat on New Bethlehem, which so far seems to be a great success due to bougie-ass commanders loving their foreign cars and Rolexes or somesuch. Sure, I guess that tracks (but I think at lot of them have still got to be nervous their favorite toys--the handmaids, of course--could be taken away if NB reform becomes to popular and spreads, which is as WE know of course, Lawrence's whole long-term plan). Wharton wants to know where Mrs. Waterford fits into this (who, Serena??) and Lawrence has to divert with some vague excuse of postpartum "lady stuff" to obscure the fact that he actually has no idea where she is--Side note: "The Wheelers turned out to be...problematic" cracked me up. You mean, operating exactly like every single wife and commander couple in Gilead who's ever had a handmaid or stolen someone else's child to raise? Problematic like that?--Well, Wharton thinks they would want her there for diplomatic visits--and at this moment baby Angela performs the most adorable jump scare "No!" (apparently she doesn't have the highest opinion of Serena Lol) and (grand)Daddy Wharton kindly spirits her off to find her "mom". Lawrence confirms that yes, he will jump just as high as the high commander asks him to so he asks Nick to have the Eyes track down the former Mrs. Waterford, despite Nick being quite reluctant and generally agreeing with Angela--he's like, fuck, Serena? Really? Can we just not and say we did??--Either Nick, like June, also has a weird undeserved soft spot for his former mistress (and lest we forget, his rapist as well) or he just really doesn't want to deal with her again (and who could blame him for the latter).
(what, is this a bad time?)
Sorry but I've just gotta say, Mark is definitely getting desperate if he's sending this current antsy, agitated version ofĀ Luke in to do important rebel spy work... I get that he's restless waiting for his trial, worrying about Hannah and missing June and Nichole, but seriously this man needs to try and meditate or something. Maybe, you know, do some training and mental work to try and be at least somewhat prepared for what he's getting himself (and Moira) into. At least Moira's got a little bit of subterfuge experience under her belt even if it's been a while (solo at that). And Moira of course can make her own decisions but I'd certainly be worried if this was the mental state my mission partner was in--his twitchy impatience is really giving me anxiety. And him telling Moira "donāt say anything about what weāre doing (to June) ok?" WTF, Luke this isnāt a fucking surprise birthday party you're planning, she needs and moreover deserves to know what your unqualified ass is doing ffs!! After everything she's lost and survived and what you both have been through the last few seasons you're really going to go all I know what's best for June again and keep this from her--ostensibly either to keep her from being mad (at least in this moment) or to "save her from herself" in case she would (rightly, as it seems) panic and leave her current safety in Alaska (which, SPOILER ALERT) she's gonna have to do anyway? He knows it's wrong too by the guilty look on his face as they hang up. Apparently he's just so completely confident (for no historical reason, mind you) that he'll pull off this mission flawlessly and be back before she noticed he was gone. But of course instead, just leaves her to blindly worry. Really, after all of Luke's self-absorbed whining in s4 about June "choosing" to stay in Gilead instead of "return to him", and after Moira spending most of s4/5 treating June as a reckless liability I find it insanely hypocritical they didn't tell her about the mission, instead leaving her to grow increasingly more worried when she can't get ahold of them on the phone. I mean it's not exactly as if June could have rung them up when she was on the run in Gilead, but they certainly had that chance and decided (seemingly on Luke's lead) to leave her in the dark. On a happy note, during this first phone call June gets the relief that Luke's out of jail for now, and the joyful opportunity to break the news of her and Holly's incredible reunion, putting her mom on the phone to say hi (Rita's reaction never having met Holly was adorably endearing, I half expected her to blurt out "I love you!" too).
TWO MONTHS LATER--
Our two female protagonists seem to be a bit more settled in to their new digs, with June still kicking it in Alaska with Mom Holly and the adorable baby Nichole/Holly, meanwhile Serena's picks tomatoes on the commune with (a pretty cute as well) baby Noah. The gardening causes her to flash back to distant pre-Gilead times with her father, a seemingly kindly but ostensibly right-wing preacher who approves of the type of views ("a new eden") that Serena outlined in her book and became the blueprints for Gilead itself. Sadly, Papa Joy also seems to have Parkinsons, although he seems spry enough as he herds her off to find some lemonade and gossip about her new boyfriend, FRED (hoo boy!).
At first I'm not really sure what the purpose of Serenaās daddy flashback is besides try to give her more humanity and tug on our heartstrings--I mean after meeting Serena's mom in s3 clearly her dad was the "nurturing" parent and she likely didn't get much parental warmth after he died. There does seems to be a real ongoing theme this episode of parental relationships. There is also some irony in her wanting to create Gilead (a ānew garden of Edenā) for her dad and then was so busy making it happen that she may have missed out on the last good days she would have with him. Maybe it's mainly to show Serena finally looking back on her role in the rise of Gilead in perhaps (dare I say it) a somewhat self-reflective way? And then of course we have the commune leader reveal sheās always known who Serena was and does not seem to approve (although thankfully for Serena, unlike the train goers has decided to offer her some grace)... Perhaps it is Abigail's faith that leads her towards extreme forgiveness as Serena admits "It (Gilead) all went wrong" and she gently chides back, āall by itself..?ā Lol
Enter⦠Commander Lawrence (good day, Joseph) of course, pulling up in his shiny car with a shiny new quip (or two). And of course, the new āMrs. Lawrenceā, as she smugly corrects Serena LOL. I guess she just couldn't bear to be apart from her new hubs. Lawrence asks Serena for a little stroll to give her his best pitch (and mea culpa): seems there is a place for her in Gilead after all (or Gilead 2.0 at least). Serena plays coy and hard to get ("Men make a mess of thingsā, after all--which I generally agree with but she does a pretty good job of that all by herself as well). But I think we all know where this is going (as Lawrence counters āYouāre bored out of your mindā--which I also have to concur he has a point). Even without the threat of the Eyes and the baby-snatching wanna-be Wheelers, I have a hard time believing that Serenaās ego and ambition would ever really forgo this opportunity to play Gileadās (or New Bethlehemās) Sweetheart, in favor of quietly and anonymously living out her days as a farmer trad wife without a husband in this religious reenvisioning of "Herland". Symbolically, Serena has been sheltered in this garden of Eden of sorts; offered a new kind of peace and penance, but she's now tempted by the snake (Lawrence) holding out the apple that is NB and her āspecial roleā in it, and really it's only a matter of time before she caves.
Listen, I still contend the 5x03 post funeral repast at Lawrenceās house where Mackenzie casually spoke of assassinating June over mashed potatoes while Nick desperately tried to control his face in front of his wife and colleagues was The Most Awkward Dinner Party Ever, but this one has to come in close second. "Iām more of a pray in silence kinda guy" Lawrence quips (seriously how has this man survived in Gilead for this long, they must really really admire him for his mind or they are really just that stupid) and their second choice Naomi comically flubs it (she must have failed grace at wife school). Luckily Serena Joy is there to take over and she just canāt miss the chance to upstage poor Naomi. She is. That. Bitch. (God Ever is fucking funny though). The very picture of smug self-satisfied piousness, Serena effortlessly rattles off a prayer that is very clearly, all about her. Some key words? āJustifiedā (yes, check--she loves that one), āglorifiedā (check--glory?? Ā even better!) And upon finishing with a triumphant āand he will bring us back from exile!ā Serena knows that yes, in fact she WILL be going back to Gilead, and sheās gonna be a STAR (more false piety and humility etc. etc. because GOD HAS A PLAN etc.). She is on the same plane as Moses and Elijah and Noah and will heal this broken world, goddamnit. Iām a little surprised she didnāt throw Jesus in the mix there too but then again we know the Gileadeans love their Old Testie the very bestie!
(it's me, hi, I'm the savior, it's me)
Back in Gilead, it's another season/another ominous father figure fireside chat for Nick. And uh oh, Daddy Wharton seems to know all about Nickās daddy issues (is that in Nick's permanent Gilead record or has he actually been vulnerable enough in the "better times" to share his past with Rose, who has now shared with her father??). And then shits on his mom for having been a working parent. Rude, sir! Poor Nick, we knew his dad was not a good provider or support system from his s1 flashback but just how ādifficultā was he? Wharton continues: "Waterford, Lawrence. Youāve let these men come into your life and guide youā(and here I just want to point out, more like he "guided" Fred into his early grave if ya know what I mean... the omission of Pryce here is also striking but then I guess that relationship was well on the hush hush given the secrecy of his Eye status)⦠and now apparently itās Daddy Wās turn and I am more scared for our boy than ever. Nick says he was never confused about these men's role in his life but I just have to hope he doesn't let himself get confused with Wharton, who just may be the slickest of them all (not a hard bar to beat with Fred at least). "Youāll be a father yourself soon" he says, ironically echoing similar words from the ghost of Fred (and again to that I say um EXCUSE ME SIR, HE'S ALREADY HOLLY/NICHOLEāS FATHER THANK YOU) and harps once again on good choices and high potential, and once again I really do not think that his idea of these things for Nick mesh with mine (also, NOooo he did NOT call Nick "son", I am cringing at yet more involuntary Fred flashbacks). I believe we are getting subtle signs that Nick is more stressed/affected by his father in laws words than he would like to admit, as he seems to be drinking more than weāve ever seen(?). Whether because he is moved by the speech or more likely just more wary than ever due to the scrutiny he's under, he throws Mark Tuello's spy sim card into the fire then sits back down to do some more sexy brooding and perhaps think wait, fuck what did I just do? And then becomes a Dark Sith Lord (just kidding, you might not know it from the score and the lighting though so that was a pretty neat trick). It's the sudden switch to slow motion as the camera rotates and the music begins to distort that REALLY gives the feeling of an ominous shift happening, as Nick's face is slowly consumed by the shadows.
(shit, guess I better remember to pick up my hooded cloak at the dry cleaners tomorrow)
Meanwhile, June is trying to get hold of Luke (again) SERIOUSLY DOES THE MAN NOT REALIZE HOW FUCKING HARD IT IS TO MAKE A PHONE CALL HERE, THEY HAVE TOLD HIM THIS FFS! Just how long did she have to wait in that super long phone line just to get the answering machine? Just rude. We can see her trying to stay calm but she's clearly getting concerned. Finally, desperate with worry after what has to be weeks of no reply, she cuts the phone call line again and this time dials Mark. She gets through and he must waste no time in telling her that weeelll, there may have been just one little thing Luke didnāt tell her and now something has gone wrong best and her best friend and husband are stuck in imminent danger while she's stuck in Alaska (or is she, we'll see about that!).
āMAYday??ā Holly exclaims back in the house (he did WHAT now??) I know, Holly I know. She is incredulous that June seems to be jumping up to head back in "you're not a spy, you're not a soldier!" which really kind of just undercuts how much of June's story since Gilead Holly has yet to learn lol. āEhhh you donāt really know how much of a badass bitch your daughter is now what Iāve done, Momā. Ā
June adds that "there's a commander" working for the Americans, who has gone dark but "he'll respond to me". Holly gives a knowing look, immediately clocking that this is Nichole's father, but incorrectly assuming he was "June's commander" and June merely "did what she had to do". June's amendment that he was the driver at her commander's house does not bring much comfort though and Holly's distrust only seems to deepen. Her math: the drivers are Eyes; Eyes are all bad. All monsters. Not to be trusted. And could be setting a trap to get Nichole. June fiercely denies this characterization of Nick "No, not him. He loves Nichole". The irony is that now that June wants to step up and fight "it's what you taught me!", Holly just wants June safe. āI was wrong! I lost!ā She can't bear the thought of losing her daughter once again. She insists āAll you can do is survive and protect the people you loveā to June shoots back āThat is what I am doing! (and ironically itās also what Nick has been doing this whole time). And YES, HOLLY, NICK IS INCLUDED IN THE PEOPLE SHE LOVES, SHE LOVES HIM OK). The heatedness comes to a boiling head when Holly finally flings out "my daughter fucked a nazi and is running across the country to see him" (OH NO SHE DIDNT).
Her words hit like a slap in the face to June and the viewer. But thinking on it in the full context of character history, the argument isn't really that surprising. June and her outspoken radical feminist/activist mom have always been somewhat at odds (even if June's now caught up to the larger fight), and to Holly, men have been--at best--a likely distraction from your true potential, and--at worst and especially now after all she's seen--monsters, all of them. Holly's outburst is a deeply emotional reaction coming from a place of long-held black-and-white biases and worry for her daughter, but moreover her recent trauma over the last long several years, suffering and watching her friends be killed. My first instinct was of course screaming for June to defend Nick's honor more vehemently, offer the concrete examples that we know prove he's a good guy. But I think I get it. She's exhausted, scared and flustered at the reemergence of this old (but long buried) dynamic with her mother. She feels the familiar resentment of her life choices being constantly questioned and judged and, overwhelmed, resorts to her old standby of lashing out in her own personal attack when Holly insists she leave Nichole there: "why, so you can abandon her too??" She's of course immediately regretful of her rash words as her mom walks out, stunned, though still no doubt is also stinging from Holly's. Deep down though June probably knows nothing's going to truly change her mom's mind but time and seeing for herself. I can only hope that June and Holly do get to have that deeper (and calmer) conversation about Nick: everything he is to her and everything he's done for her and baby Holly (he helped me to survive). And that maybe one day, she gets to actually meet Nick and--if very likely give him a fair amount of shit (we'd expect nothing less!)--eventually see and accept him for the good man he is (and good for June). That'll be my headcanon anyway!
Sitting outside, June and her mom make up, and June tells her "I know you didn't abandon me". Holly once again implores June (but in a gentler, more diplomatic manner this time) to leave her Nichole in her care her while Junes heads off back to No Man's Land and I swear to god if this whole "this is for her safety, it could be a trapā thing turns out to be foreshadowing for Nick doing something he would NEVER DO (like put his beloved daughters safety and/or freedom in jeopardy) I WILL RIOT. That said I would certainly not begrudge Holly getting some familial bonding time with her adorable little granddaughter namesake, and as much as I want Nick to be able to see his bb girl again I DO think itās probably best not to take that sweet innocent little baby toddler into a dangerous rescue mission so close to Gilead, no? And of course if June had left her with Mark to babysit Iād just be left to obsess over my on-again/off-again Testaments conspiracy theory⦠again. So itās probably for the best. Probably thinking the same thing (about the time the Hollys have missed together and rescue mission danger, not the conspiracy theory), June agrees. Her mom saying the name "Nichole" then seems to trigger a memory, and June smiles at the secret she now reveals, telling Holly how she actually named her daughter after her when she was born, "her real name's Holly". Ok so then I have a bone to pick back up with you, June, why TF not use her real name then?? Wouldn't it in fact be safer because Gilead knows about "Baby Nichole", they've never heard of "Baby Holly"! Is this like a fae thing where they can't use her "real name" because it holds too much power and gives too much of her power away to the people who know it? OK I know, I know, it's because of Margaret Atwood and the Testaments. It's just funny to me whenever they bring up "Holly's her real name" just to ignore it again while she's young enough to not know the difference and there's no reason to "honor" Serena's legacy of "motherhood" anymore. Poor kid, Holly/Nichole/Daisy/Jade is gonna be so confused. Well, at least mama Holly knows now that June was thinking of her and missing and carrying on her legacy in this way. AND we baby Holly truthers get to feel re-validated. Speaking of which, GEEZ BB HOLLY/NICHOLE IS SO FREAKING CUTE, I'm not even a "baby person" and that little smile when she looks over to June, my heart MELTS. June and mom Holly share a tearful and touching embrace, and soon it is time for June to say a bittersweet goodbye-for-now to her sweet daughter as she plays with some blocks--little Holly: BB GENIUS, amirite? Ā (ok but why does that toy kind of look like a dick though. Really. Just me???)
(the bwitch is back)
The closing sequence is a great split/multiple perspective parallel montage of June and Serena's respective returns from "exile", set to āBurn the Witchā: Serena as Gilead Boss Bitch Barbie dressed in her mauve power suit/power trench and preparing for her star turn (It's interesting that this mauve kind of pinky purple seems to be the ādesignated colorā for single women in NB?? I guess we can infer itās similar to the āplumā the pubescent girls in Gilead as āfuture wives in trainingā wear, since even though they are in fact children, according to Gilead they technically are single, or rather āeligible yet unmarriedā āwomenā. Kinda fun and unexpected that we get a bit of somewhat unexpected new world building at this point in the show with NB, since Gilead proper world has been so well established for seasons now!). June suited up in black (or dark colors anyway) and a backpack, striding determinedly through a darkened field (at dusk or dawn?) while her mom and daughter look on in farewell . Serena on the private jet like the royalty she knows she is (for some the NB brochure really made me lol). June in the back of a military truck. Serena in a van pulling up to the gates of NB (there are definitely some very Stepford/uncanny valley vibes about this place, in a way itās almost more disconcerting than Gilead proper in that it has the same unsettling quality but itās a bright beautiful suburb whereĀ people seem to be happy and smiling), then sauntering up to her shiny new beachside property. June looking up at the massive Mayday safehouse, which appears to be a former resort/lodge or country club of some sort(?) and following Mark through a maze of hallways and stairs to the final big reveal: a seeming shit ton of uber drivers and pharmacists and teachers, all hanging out just waiting for her!
I loved the slow motion shot (is it just me or is there a LOT of slow motion used so far this season?) of Nick turning his head but standing standing his ground as Serena walks up, contrasted with the civilian mayday fighters one by one turning and falling in line behind June as she walks though the safehouse (ball?)room. HI THIS IS THE TWO HALVES OF OUR ALPHA REBEL POWER COUPLE OK? And soon to reunite (Hallelujah, amen). Honestly I feel like Iām left a little confused by this whole mayday plot thing⦠so there is a whole building full of people who are somehow involved in the baddie commanders info mission but Moira and Luke are the only two stuck behind and in trouble? What are they all doing there in that building if June's the one going in, for solidarity? Or is this a more long-term Mayday operations base so they're waiting for other missions/phases of the mission? What is going on. Am I missing something? Clearly. Anyway, maybe we'll find out later. What really matters right now is NICK AND JUNE ARE MEETING UP(!!!). IMMINENTLY. Someone's gotta go save her feckless dummy of a husband, after all.

Bumped into your blog. Indian writer ( trying to be yaar ) here. Let's here about all your WIPs. I'll rant about mine. Is that fine ?
Hello hello!!! Pleasure to meet youā”ā”ā” and to be your yaar (hopefully)
Please do rant to me I'm so interested ššš
I have so many wips idk how to tell so i will just summarise it.
I'm currently writing, The General's Bride, its mlm (i sincerely hope you don't mind it) The Generalās Bride follows a formidable general who returns home victorious from war, afyer six years, he plans to marry the princess to get power from the cruel king. He comes to knkw that the princess is a man in disguise on his own agenda. Initially viewing his bride as a mere pawn, he gradually discovers his intelligence and resilience, leading to an unexpected partnership. As enemies close in and secrets unravel, the couple must navigate love, duty, and the shifting tides of power to secure their future.
The latest idea that i have is
1) Ghosted Together, Vihaan Singh, who can see ghosts after inheriting his late fatherās spiritual duty, is forced to work with his academic rival, LĒ ZĆ© YĒ, after accidentally granting him the same ability. Despite their constant bickering and mutual hatred, they become reluctant partners in guiding lost souls to rest, uncovering eerie mysteries along the way. What starts as an infuriating rivalry slowly shifts into an unexpected bond, blurring the line between enemies and something much deeper.
2) A Party To Die For, A group of so-called friends is trapped in a mansion where they start dying one by one, and only Kai and Jaxon seem to trust each other as the horror unfolds.
3) The Wandering Sonnets, Aspen Whitmore, now old and grey, pens the story of his final year at Harcourt School for Boys, capturing the fleeting moments of youth, friendship, and rebellion that shaped them all. Through late-night escapades, whispered secrets, and poetry scrawled in the margins of textbooks, he tries to hold onto a time that is slipping away too quickly. But as the seasons change, the boys must face the inevitableāgrowing up, letting go, and the truths they can no longer ignore.
4) Eyes On The Flame, In a city where desire and deception intertwine, a renowned dancer captivates audiences with his graceful performances while guarding the quiet truths of his own existence. When a mysterious stranger begins to frequent his world, watching him with an intensity unlike the rest, the delicate balance he has maintained starts to unravel. As their fates become entwined, the dancer is forced to confront the line between illusion and reality, knowing that some gazes see far more than they should.
5) Two Weeks Notice, Detective Fenrir Gallagher is approached by a mysterious man, Rian Guan, who claims he has only two weeks left to live and insists Fenrir must solve the case before time runs out. As Fenrir investigates, he unravels a complex web of secrets, deception, and hidden truths that challenge his perception of fate and justice. With the clock ticking, the line between hunter and hunted blurs, leading to a revelation that changes everything.
6) The Game We Play, A wealthy heir becomes the prime suspect in a high-profile murder, but his cryptic behavior suggests thereās more to the case than meets the eye. A determined detective is drawn into a dangerous game of deception, forced to untangle lies, hidden motives, and unsettling truths. As tension escalates, the lines between hunter and hunted blur, leading to revelations neither of them saw coming.
7) What Tangled Webs We Weave, In a world of shifting allegiances and hidden daggers, Riatiwan maneuvers through treacherous court politics, where survival demands both cunning and sacrifice. As powerful forces seek to control, betray, or eliminate him, he must decide who to trustāand what heās willing to loseāfor his own future. But in a game where every move is calculated, even the most carefully laid plans can unravel when emotions and ambition collide.
And so much more, i just don't want to bore youšā¤ i hope you like any of them.
Now your turnāØāØ

New Rodamrix Episode Details i found!!!
First: The Episode we're really nice
Second: ...SPOILERS!
Third: If u don't know: Rodamrix is called (Actually, we, fans, call it so) an Among us Animation on Youtube, where are two timelines and one Episode just came out so im yapping here abt it
The only Bas Thing i can say Abt it, It's really fast. Too FAST. I feel Like the Charakters needed a Scene where they Just talk or at least think a Little Bit Abt what happend... A Break. Everything Happens too fast bc of the Miss of a Scene Like that. Trough... I Like it even without that.
So to the nice Details now:
1: First Scene. When Teal cleans first Part of the corridor, we See that the plants don't have any mess unser them. When He gets to the Secret entrance, unser the plant is mess:

2: Teal Takes Pics of the room, in Alternate Red Had got this Job to do, so mb Red and Teal will have a conflict bc of that and Teal will dieš

3: Dr White didnt see Teal bc of his eyes on the mask.

4: When Purple tries to make a Deal with Glitchy, Mini Yellow doesnt say yes bc the Last Time an Imp wanted to make a Deal, He tried to kill His Friends (Forteshifter). Bc of that Glitchy says Purp is a lier

5: These Two Eyed guys are really made by the doctors, so its logical that they're also activating when Doc W. activates the other Imps

6: Also abt guys: It wasn't Them, who crashed the bridge with Yellow, Navi and Lime... WHO WAS IT???

7: Heh Green is the one who isnt as scared as the others

8: Also Green: He notices that Fake Glitchy isnt behaving like Glitchy would, bc they saw how the kid stays Happy even when they were in the hidout.

9: This water puddle were here since they arrived!

10: Uh just nice colors... Im pretty sure this is made on purpose

11: I like the fact that the other scientists didn't know abt what Doc did)

12: Yeah thats logical, he needs the flowers to cure Glitchy, but he doesnt know Glichy himself has them XD

13: Ouuui we found out the smartest bean

14:YAYAYYAYAYAY RED GOT IMP! I think hell be VERY scared when he sees him the first time... Idk mb Green will try to comfort Red when he sees them? Like bc Green had like an arc where he sees that Imps arent always bad and he'll say that to Red, so he doesn't start killing? Like in Alt Season 1, he were short before killing Blue who nerved him bc of THE HALF of the relic. Now he has it as a WHOLE. But idk Green would still have to find a way to Red... and oh yeah i totally forgot abt him while watching the endscene... I hope he survivedšš

Ok I've had some time to process heres my detailed thoughts (TBB spoilers)
First I want to get my biggest issue with the finale out of the way - Tech and CX-2. I have been delusional about him but not to the point that I wouldn't accept his death or other clones as CX-2, and I was staying open. But then they went and did exactly what I hoped they wouldn't: they gave us no confirmation of his identity at all and left him thumbtacked to a wall with no face reveal. Not only is this exactly what they did in Ahsoka, but I also feel like it left a huge gap in the finale storyline. They put so much emphasis on him throughout season 3, including the last episode, and we got nothing out of it. I also felt like this made Tech's death kind of meaningless?? Which I absolutely hate saying because of what he sacrificed in season 2, but why kill him when the rest of the batch gets to live happily on Pabu and grow old with Omega? Maybe the writers had a good reason and I just didn't pick up on it?
I also felt like we were gaslit into thinking it was Tech, only for the ending to imply he's been gone the whole time. Domicile? Phee? CX-2's fight with Crosshair and the waterfall? the way he got the most screen time out of a group that was so clearly meant to be an imperial reflection of the original squad? Idk guys I feel like we got cheated there.
I also wish we got some idea of what happened to Wolffe and Cody, but maybe that is an opening for another show? perhaps?
Ok now that that is out of the way I can talk about how much I absolutely loved the rest of the finale.
Emerie's character development was amazing I've been routing for her since the season 2 finale and you know those Jango Fett genes are coming in strong she will take such good care of those kids for as long as they need. I also think it would be cool to see her again in future productions, her character definitely has potential.
Echo survived!! All the parallels between him and CW season 6 Fives had me terrified that he was about to die but that arc trooper experience paid off. His reaction to Omega freeing the zillo is by far one of my favorite parts of the episode he was so proud of her and I was glad to see him work so well with Emerie. I am also fully ready to enjoy Echo and Rex leading a clone rebellion whenever they deem us deserving of it (looking at you Filoni). I know we don't have proof of anything but there are still to many unanswered questions surrounding the clones, I hope they finish those storylines.
The last Domino is still standing, they would be so proud of him (and his dad jokes).
Hemlock finally got what he deserved and oh I was so happy that Hunter was the one who did it, especially after all the batch went through because of him. And what came after that? Even better. We finally got a Crosshair and Omega hug (plus Hunter) and they all made it off Tantiss alive I mean what more could we ask for?
I have so many feelings on the ending and the epilogue and I'm not really sure how to put them into words but my first instinct when I finished the episode was to spend 40 minutes c r y i n g
they got a happy ending? they have peace and happiness on Pabu and got to see Omega grow up? Omega is going to fly with the rebellion and fight back against the empire?
and Tech will be with her the whole time???
I am unwell. This has left me emotionally unstable. Not only is that the best ending I could have hoped for given the past seasons but it is also such an amazing last look at their family. No matter how you think of them you have to admit Hunter was right, she is their kid and that will never change. That line alone will be living in my head rent free from here on out. Her last talk with Hunter was so well done and is one of the best moments in the whole show, but honestly Tech's goggles on her ship's dash is what broke me; he would be so proud of her I need at least 3-5 business days to process this.
Yes I have my issues with the unfinished storylines but wow that finale was something I don't think I will ever recover from. It may be one of the best endings we have ever seen in star wars. Like I said, I have a lot feelings and if I tried to put them all in a post it would have to be a multi-volume novel.
If you made it this far thank you! Feel free to add your own thoughts I like hearing what other people have to say. I'm just going to go burrow straight into the ground now and pretend I don't have finals next week because honestly who can be productive after something like that?
Oddly enough this is making me want to go back and watch the Clone Wars again, maybe Rebels too? Definitely making me nostalgic.

kinda annoying how people complain about the ending of towl just because their expectations or theories didnāt pan out how they wanted it to. and a majority of the ppl disappointed really were hoping michonne dies / sacrifices herself for rickās survival or both of them die which makes zero sense anyway and wouldāve made everything pointless. also because gimple made one comment saying he wants all the spin-offs to come together in some way people really latched onto that for dear life and thought that towl would be some starting point for that to happen even though it was wrapped for filming by then and was literally premiering. mind you it was always marketed as just being 6 episodes so i donāt know why people thought it would somehow lead to a grand fight with all the other characters. especially since daryl wouldāve still been in france timeline wise so itās not like that reunion wouldāve happened either which is another big complaint i saw a lot.
and lets say rick and michonne didnāt blow up the frontliners or kill beale: portland wouldāve fallen, kids kidnapped, millions dead and then what? theyāre just supposed to let that happen? say itās not their problem and try to go home anyways and pray the CRM doesnāt find their community? have rick go back to the civic republic and be stuck for even longer while michonne was supposed to go home and gather up whoever is left and march back to philadelphia with just guns and arrows i guess??? along with the commonwealth storm trooper wannabes? try and wage some kind of attack which wouldāve been futile since the frontliners wouldāve wiped them out even quicker than what happened in the finale resulting in no reunions for anybody and more dead characters?
they planned a six episode story and obviously werenāt going to leave it on some kind of cliff hanger or have some mysterious after credit set up scene because they werenāt thinking of a season two at the time of writing, it ended with a family reunion like it was always going to. but even if there is something else in the future there could still be more story to tell and the civic republic can still be involved. people act like they killed off the whole military in one quick go when it was just the guys in the red uniforms who take out entire cities that died (i think around 2000+ soldiers). its still a big military operation it can span different locations, they talked about there being CRM agents in different communities that could be explored more. having different generals or sergeants with different ideologies can still be a thing. thereās also that estimate about there only being 14? years left of life on earth and the threat of millions of walkers at once so idk seems like thereās multiple storyline possibilities if they choose to continue
#the ones who live#richonne#the important figures and red suits all in one place why wouldnāt they kill them all?#like idk what else they couldve done in that small timeframe#but the dramatics over the CRM are so funny#it was never going to be some infinity war event

I was debating if i should post this on my main or idk send it here, but yeah no the demons lost and I'll just send here yk yk. Something interesting about team pe [ pentar and ecorridor on lifesteal season 6 ], is that they clearly care about each other however they are WILLING to lie to keep the other safe, or walk on eggshells so that the team won't fall apart, they won't fall apart. with Pentar hiding hearts from E, telling Flame to remove the part where he got himself killed, when E logged off Pentar goes back to hunting people for hearts [ what a freakazoid btw/pos ] and Ecorridor lying to Pentar about dying and probably much more because ecor doesn't stream much idk [ E release a ls video or stream and MY LIFE IS YOURS ] ... It's just so interesting because Pentar goes through extreme lengths to hide the fact that he kills and dies for Ecor, and for what? to keep E naĆÆve? Is it for Gratification? It's quite selfish and hypocritical to keep someone in the dark so that they don't experience the bloodshed that you've been doing to other people among other things. then E finds about this he's like.... understanding? And is thankful for what pentar did for him?
"did you really think that I would think less of you if I knew all of that stuff?" <- actual ecor quote btw, what a crazy world.
they then promise to each other, that they would no longer keeps secrets but here we are with E hiding the fact that he already died [ and im betting 100 bucks that Pentar will continue lying ], so is the promise already broken? Is it even a promise by that point?
they're so supportive of each other but not open at all, so selfish and selfless. The things they do for each other like sdhiasldhusfef waow i lauv characters that have issues. <3
I wonder how long they would keep lying until it all blows up on their faces, and in this essay I will explain on how TEAM PE BREAK UP IS STILL ON THE TABLE !!!!!!! anyways I would say more but this is already too long of an ask lmao. Anyways I'm groveling on the floor, I am surviving off a couple of team PE fanart, analysis, and like one really good Ecor Introspection fic #starving. Also whoever mod reads this, I hope you guys have a good day. I like team pe š
I will power through any length of ask for you guys š¤
I haven't watched Lifesteal (I may get around to it eventually) so I dont know enough about these two to give a good comment about the ship, but from what I can tell about them, these two would make for good angst

2025 World Championships Preview
I canāt believe itās time for Worlds! š„ŗ Iām happy that we get to delay the post-season depression by a couple of weeks this season because World Team Trophy is in April! But first we must survive Worlds.
Men - My Predicted Podium
Ilia Malinin (USA) - I fear that heās going to do the 7 quad program again. Really wish he would take some quads out because doing 7 makes for a very messy program but Iām sure the crowd will eat up whatever he does. The only way heās not winning is if something goes terribly wrong. IDK what heās thinking with this new AI chat bot thing lol.
Yuma Kagiyama (Japan) - Heard heās lowering his jump difficulty a bit in order to secure the Olympic spots for Japan which is very admirable. I think it would be so cool if he wins. I want two squeaky clean programs from him pls.
Junhwan Cha (South Korea) - I think itās gonna be really close between Jun and Mikhail for 3rd place but I think Jun will be able to sneak ahead with his PCS as long as he puts down all his technical content with no hiccups. If he makes it on the podium I will be so happy.
(Rest of top 10 in no particular order)
Adam Siao Him Fa (France) - It has not been his season so Iām just hoping that he can put down two solid programs. His landings were scary af at Europeans. I really want him to do well but I am nervous.
Daniel Grassl (Italy) - I donāt love the fact that heās probably gonna be in the top 10. His score is really gonna be decided by how strict the callers are going to be. Canāt wait to hate watch the Billy Elliot free - itās literally my least favorite program of the season.
Nikolai Memola (Italy) - Grand Prix season was rough but he was pretty solid at Europeans. If he is able to perform like he did at Europeans heāll end up in the second half of the top 10 but thatāll be a a good finish for him.
Shun Sato (Japan) - I am really nervous about Shun. The last two competitions I saw him at were JNats and World University Games and he did not do well in either. Itās been a hot sec tho so who knows whatāll happen. I will root for the fuecoco trio no matter what.
Mikhail Saidorov (Kazakhstan) - I think Jun is going to have to work really hard if he wants to challenge Mikhail for 3rd place. If Mikhail performs like he did at Four Continents itās gonna be hard to beat. Really looking forward to his performance!
Lukas Britschigi (Switzerland) - I am a little nervous about him because he is recovering from butt surgery. Unless things go wrong for top contenders I donāt see him making it into the top 6.
Andrew Torgashev (USA) - Pizza King has had such a good season! I hope he can finish it off with a solid performance at Worlds. The pressure will def be on him to help get those 3 spots because who knows what Jason is going to do.
Women - My Predicted Podium
Kaori Sakamoto (Japan) - I think Kaori is going to have to do better than the best sheās done this season if sheās going to get 1st but I believe in her. I love her so much and if she 4-peats I will never stop talking about it ever.
Chaeyeon Kim (South Korea) - Miss girl was unstoppable at Four Continents. She always looks as cool as a cucumber, so I am not worried about her nerves. I know she will go out and kill it, I just hope she gives a smidge more in the PCS department.
Amber Glenn (USA) - If she puts down two clean programs and with a 3A in each, miss girl is going to win. I am a little nervous about her nerves because Iām sure thereās a lot of pressure on her as a favorite going into a home Worlds. I just want her to do well!
(Rest of top 10 in no particular order)
Nina Pinzarrone (Belgium) - Worlds did not go the way she wanted last year so Iām hoping she can get some redemption this year. Europeans was the best Iāve seen her all season so I hope she can harness some positive momentum.
Lara Naki Gutmann (Italy) - Miss girl is going to have to do her best in order to squeak into the top 10 but I really hope she does it because I love her. Iām interested to see what is going to happen next season with Anna Pezzetta on the scene.
Mone Chiba (Japan) - I love her so much, but unless some things go wrong I donāt think sheās going to make it onto the podium which is so sad. Four Continents was really rough for her so Iām looking forward to seeing her in better shape!
Wakaba Higuchi (Japan) - I think she can end up in the top 6 if she nails everything (Looking at you 3Lz3T) . Really hope the judges give her the PCS she deserves.
Kimmy Repond (Switzerland) - Europeans was a little rough but my girl is a fighter and I just know sheās going to go down swinging. Sheās looked very hungry and determined all season. I hope she can put down a program she is proud of.
Alysa Liu (USA) - Canāt wait to cry during her short program again. I donāt think sheās gonna get close to her US Nationals score (because all nationals scores are fake) but I do think she has the capability to cross the 200 pt mark which she hasnāt done internationally this season.
Isabeau Levito (USA) - IDK what to expect from her but I hope she does well because if she does bad sheāll look sad and then Iāll get sad. Itās been so long since weāve seen her compete, so Iām really excited to watch her programs again.
I will see you all on the other side! Happy watching everyone! I am nervous but excited!!!!

incomplete thoughts about episodes 2 through 6 of House of the Dragon season 2
episode 2!! the acting in this yelling scene after the murder is so fucking good
Otto looks like "the consequences of several poor decisions will now play out in sequence"
Rhaenyra is like, "wow, everyone was right about my unhinged uncle husband, i should've listened" (babe, your husband is a sliding door, no hinges)
Daemon, that's a PRETTY BIG FUCKING MISTAKE, BUDDY
Criston and Alicent match each other's freak (Catholic guilt)
oh is this season going to be the season of mommy kink?? i think this season is going to be the season of mommy kink
Otto "I have made so many mistakes" Hightower: to get fired from a job once is unfortunate, but getting fired from the same position a generation later is quite silly
(no, but seriously what is this man up to? he fucked off from King's Landing and has not been heard from again)
Otto Hightower is the most done man, he is so finished with everyone's bullshit
Mysaria!!!!!! I love her
Alicent "the consequences of several mistakes will now play out in sequence" Hightower
Simon Strong has no desire to throw arms against Daemon, and TO BE FAIR, valid
i got nothing, i just like all the women and the diversity of responsibility bestowed upon them
the peas and poison exchange is good comedy
oh I love Daemon haunted house hours
NEW GIRLFRIEND?!?! (Alys Rivers)
sorry Rhaenyra, you can't yuri your way out of this one
"do you think me capable of such naked deceit?" no, Alicent, but this isn't the first time you've misread a situation
Daemon is too busy being psychologically tortured to send ravens
lamprey pie?!? even Larys is like, "babe, I know you're lying"
Daemon, please don't drink the strange draught from the woman who just told you she's a barn owl...never mind
I think Criston has been dethroned as stupidest man, that award goes to Gwayne now
Vhagar is just a kitten the size of a building
"whose dragon is that??" G W A Y N E JFC
OH DRAGON BLOOD IS HOT?? this fight choreography is so rad
brain is going full "hell yeah monster fight, let's go monsters"
RHAENYS DO NOT JFC
honestly, I'd probably defect if I saw multiple dragons falling out of the goddamn sky, like that should NOT be happening, fuck this entire thing
also no one should be surviving these dragon fire fights, that's too much heat, as fucking metal as they are
hey cole, how are you going to explain that one to your liege? (nice touch having him be really fucked up by what he saw on the battlefield)
yeah, I'm with the smallfolk on this one, fuck that, dragons should NOT be decapitated like that
that canNOT be good for anyone involved
Daemon: "show them your worst"
this is going to go SO WELL (it goes as expected)
Aemond is trying so hard not to volunteer himself for regent, bless him
the currency of orgasms has no place at this council table, much to Alicent's chagrin and disadvantage
"the smallfolk will notice the king's absence"
uhā¦sure big if true :]
"our fear lies in Vhagar" I DO NOT BLAME THEM
oh my god, they are just straight up eating on a door
idk if they (Daemon and Rhaenyra) are going to finish that last conversation š„“š„“
I'm so curious what that character returning means for likeā¦anything
I will also point out, it's been like 3 episodes since we heard about the triarchy and that's good, that's when the writing works
the writing works when they're not pretending there's this grand external threat that isn't the madness and ambition within
also it's really cool how most of what's depicted in the opening embroidery has come to pass, I like touches like that
OH I SPOKE TOO SOON ABOUT NOT BRINGING UP THE FUCKING TRIARCHY
I'm going to lose my marbles if it comes down to Caraxes and Vhagar
Alicent earns the restraint MVP award, wow
I was wondering how Daemon chose to remember Viserys, and that's definitely it
Daemon has gone full gothic heroine, full babygirlification
is Alys free on Thursday when I'm free on Thursday so we can hang out when we are both free on Thursday
this liturgical fete for being acknowledged by a dragon is such good worldbuilding
oh this dragon thing is definitely going to go in the same way that like, some kitty tummies are a fucking trap
IT'S A TRAP.gif
MYSARIA I LOVE YOU
"do you take me for a fool?" Aemond, Larys is taking you for a teenager (I typed Varys initially, and man, I miss him)
omg the baby dragons š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ
I want to go aboard a ship called the Gay Abandon
Rhaenyra deserves to strike whoever she wants tbh
oh I LIKE THIS A LOT (not the part I know is coming, the bit with the provision boats)
whispering who the fuck is Daeron
ok but wouldn't it have been safer to stay in the high sept during the riot???
Rhaenyra, you can become a man if you want to!!
omg of course she goes in for a hug first, USELESS
idk if this is the yuri that will fix Rhaenyra but I'm glad this is the yuri explicit :] :]
I think the thing that keep nagging me about Jacerys Valeryon is that he looks like a thrifted Timothee Chalamet in Dune
all right, onto tomorrow!!
