we really need to be a lot more critical to larian and put pressure on them. wyll have been ignored 6 patches deep into the update, and he still lack the variety unlike the other core companions. no new greetings if you romance him, lack of independent choices, etc. don't use "but he lack content :(((" as an excuse to dismiss the disparity both in game and fandom. this will just enable the bias further.

i’ve said this once and i’ll say it again but fiction DOES affect reality and vice versa. fictional games and content you consume will always have an affect on you and it’s incredibly valid. you’re valid for expressing your concern regarding a trope and no one should invalidate your feelings with the fucked up excuses that consist of flipping the narrative and victim blaming.

the arguments of “but x and y did worse” “this is clearly your first otome game” “yes but i love red flags” “if you’re this affected by a game you’re too sensitive” will ALWAYS piss me off. women, especially regarding a game that has a primarily female centered audience and its fandom that should be a safe space for them, are allowed to express their discomfort over a trope / character that focuses on traumatic real life experiences women go through in their day to day life. this is not about liking said trope or blaming its enjoyers, but the lack of sympathy that has been circulating. everyone needs to keep in mind that not everyone can handle the same things and not everyone has gone through similar things so you’re in no place to judge or dictate how others should feel regarding anything really. no one’s trauma should be belittled and invalidated and especially not over a bunch of pixelated men. i beg everyone to have an ounce of sympathy for real people the same way you have for these characters and to stop losing morals over a pixelated man.

they’re not reylo because osha isn’t sidelined from the narrative to support his goals. from her perspective we see how it makes complete sense why someone like her, (a dedicated, loving yet outcasted former jedi) is questioning where she belongs. Qimir may want to use her and obviously feigning kindness to get her to trust him, but he also genuinely wants a pupil that unlocks the power of the dark side. And he sees that power in osha and it’s this obsession with her that’s undeniably tempting especially for someone who hasn’t quite been given back the loyalty and devotion that she openly offers.

its “toxic” because it’s supposed to be. and we love watching these dynamics unfold because they reflect the ugly truths of human nature. we do things to feel love even if it’s in artificial forms. we incessantly give with the illogical hopes that we might receive something back. how the dark side pulls someone such as osha therefore becomes realistic. and what is more appealing than to allow yourself recognition you never had. to let your emotions be unrestrained and even be your greatest strength. what else could you do when someone finally tells you that there’s more out there for you, and can grant you unspeakable power that’s always been just out of reach

hello everyone 😊 if you're a welcome to camp despair fan looking for an explanation as to what happened to the account, i've decided to deactivate it. it's simply not worth the hassle anymore, and i know very well that at least one person has archived it anyway, so it doesn't matter. i'm tired of dealing with this. it's been like 5 years since it started and almost 4 since it ended; i wanted to keep it up so people could learn from me, and see the apologies i put up, but it simply isn't worth it anymore. it doesn't feel like my humanity is really being respected at all. i wanted the art i made outside of the context of the fangan itself to not be used, but since obviously that doesn't matter, the account has been taken down. i honestly just don't care anymore. i am genuinely sorry for the people i've hurt and the mistakes i made. but everyone who knows about wtcd has already seen the damn apology, and it's almost definitely been archived by someone else anyhow. so it really just doesn't matter anymore.
