"Motion, used correctly, can be more powerful than sheer strength"
"Force and strength work counter to the motion of the world. The universe has its own speeds you need to align with"
"You can never force the motion of the universe to bend to your will"
"We must force the progress we need! Force the world to work the way you want it to!"
One of these teachings is not like the other...

Tumblr media
By: The Heretical Liberal

Lots of responses to this post I made the other day laying out the case for why trans activism is homophobic, most of them supportive. For the few that weren't, here's a thread where I brought the receipts. If my earlier post was opening arguments, consider this the full case: 🧵
Tumblr media
First up, the charities, such as Stonewall and GLAAD. These are the groups that were originally set up as gay rights advocates, but were retooled around 2015 into trans rights advocates, and - since trans activism seeks to erase homosexuality - promptly began to do exactly that
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the anti-gay activists now in charge and setting the tone, media now takes the reins and begins subtly erasing the very notion of same-sex attraction, suggesting that lesbians who don't want to date ppl with penises, and gay men not interested in vaginas are hateful bigots
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And more of the same nonsense:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the activists dictating, and the media following their lead, the homophobia inevitably trickles down. This manifests in different forms, but one of them is the psychological torture of homosexuals, some of whom have come to believe their innate orientation means they're bigots
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But mostly the biggest effect is in the trans community itself, who have increasingly internalized the idea that same-sex attraction doesn't exist, and thus, any ppl who claim to be exclusively same-sex attracted are actually just transphobic bigots who can be abused at will
Tumblr media
The rest is just gonna be a firehose of hate, as I try to dispel the idea that this homophobia is "just a few bad apples" instead of the truth: it's a core component underpinning the entire ideology transgenderism, as are the violent threats that often accompany it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could go on and on, but I think the point here is made. Homophobia doesn't just exist in the trans community, it's RIFE in it. It's a feature, not a bug, the erasure of sex (and by extension, homosexuals) is a core goal of trans activism. Hopefully this has opened some eyes /end

Firstly, if you're shocked by this, then you haven't been paying attention.
This is what it looks like when the mentally ill use academic gobbledygook to pathologize the normal and normalize the pathological.
You're not crazy: same sex attraction and opposite sex attraction are real things and completely normal. You may have either or both (bisexual). Their stupid buzzwords don't - and can't - change that. Nor turn it into a "genital preference."
If you take away nothing else, know that an accusation of being "transphobic" is a predator trying to emotionally manipulate and blackmail you into allowing access by the predator beyond your boundaries. Whether that be sexual boundaries, to simply how you address others, and anything and everything in between.
You never have to justify your boundaries. Someone who tries to make you, or who tells you that you need to "rethink" your boundaries, or particularly who acts morally superior about their purported higher evolved absence of boundaries is a full-blown predator. No, I'm not being hyperbolic. When I say "predator," I mean they're a predator. You're talking to someone who is dangerous and not to be trusted, because they see your boundaries as something to be overcome, circumvented or "fixed." They do not respect you and they feel entitled to what they want from you. They are dangerous. They are a predator. By definition.
In the very definition of an abusive relationship, these virulently anti-gay fanatics also won't let LGB operate without them. Because they'll lose their human shields and their stolen valor they've misappropriated from the gay rights movements. Which is the point in the movie where the abuser shouts, "without me, you're nothing! I won't let you leave! If I can't have you, no one will!" And then something horrible happens.

been pondering the blacks too. just like the greens don't know how to connect to the other even if the understanding IS there, to me the black suffer almost from the opposite of this. their dynamic is seemingly more healthy and balanced than the greens that is true but this episode showed a lot of misunderstandings between them, how they can't see past the surface.
of course the biggest one is daemon and rhaenyra. neither of them can see the other too clearly. too wrapped up in both the war and in their new roles as queen and king consort. viserys hanging over them like a guillotine waiting for any to point out an insecurity in the other. rhaenyra resents daemon for putting her in viserys' place and daemon resents rhaenyra for believing what viserys did about him. i thought you were different!
which in turn makes daemon too angry to acknowledge his own daughter who is as eager as him to participate in the war effort, but he can't see her! he's too angry about past deeds, the same as rhaenyra. "i think i hate him", says baela because daemon has ignored her and her anger comes from mostly the same place as rhaenyra, they can't see that daemon's loyalty, his love, is about his actions. he's going to harrenhal to win the war for ALL of them. to daemon that is more important than hugging his daughter.
then later, when baela is with jace they engage in a conversation about fathers. jace's "he loved us. I think" is very telling on his insecurities about his place in the family and how, again, past deeds, cloud his understanding in the present. and it's so interesting that baela says something along the lines of her understanding, but she doesn't really! she doesn't know what it is to have such a dark shadow like jace. and he realizes because he immediately says that he misses luke. the only one who he *think* could understand him.
and forgive me for following this jace thread but he can't trust that rhaenyra will understand either. they don't see face to face at all. when he comes to report his travels in the past ep, he can't go beyond the queenly face she has put up, so he follows her lead and acts like just a prince and not his son. until it's too much and he breaks down. he's just a boy!

my main thoughts about judith is like she's been in the military for most of her life. ive had two drinks so i might be misremembering but like she was like six??? or something to do with that when she joined the cohort. her dad is high up so she wasn't sent out at that age but it does suggest something about child soldiers outside of the fourth. also like the drainage part of her necromancy like how do you teach that to someone?? she's very interesting anyways
really good points anon!!!! i think that the houses' normalization of children being introduced to warring for the empire at such a young age is so interesting, especially given how fourth and second seem to function in tandem with each other even though typically fourth is more closely associated with fifth fandom-wide. in turn it's intriguing to see how people in the fandom respond to that association and the military structure of second, how judith functions within it, etc.,
the drainage part of her necromancy seems to be second house standard fare (although i think being a generalist is also fairly common if i recall correctly) and i wish we'd gotten to see at least a little bit of it in action through judith in gtn since it's used to empower the necromancer and not the cavalier, separate from any of the trails which i think are at the ultimate extreme of what necromancy means / does / the theorems of it all. for me it brings to mind the blood of eden memorandum at the end of htn before AYS when blood of eden points out that one should not engage with the enemy unless absolutely certain that there is not a necromancer present in the unit, and even then, maybe still don't, because if there's a necromancer among the enemy and that necro can essentially embolden and strengthen the non-necromantic parties, then it makes combat even more frightening than it already is.
as for judith being in the military all her life, yeah! yeah. yeah... i find some people's hostility towards judith as a character interesting when it makes sense to me that judith, who is still so young by the time she's been dubbed the captain in ntn and possessed by varun, is obviously clinging to the beliefs and ideals of the empire taught to her from childhood, seems to need that belief in the empire to survive in the conditions she ends up in. she serves as a fun narrative contrast to characters like corona or camilla, obviously, in that they've got doubts of their own, but judith's dogmatism in AYS especially is also a response (to me) to her own doubts, fears, and further goes to show how deeply-ingrained her beliefs are and how deeply-ingrained those beliefs may be in second house and the cohort altogether.

attempt to idly discuss concept of custom wedding vows with 🌸 ground to a halt after the realization that neither of us actually, like, wants to try to figure out what the fuck we'd be promising
can you do custom vows, but instead of vows to do stuff, it's just a list of the superbly good qualities of the other person in order to make it clear why any rational actor would agree that you should obviously plan to keep hanging out with them as long as possible

well i was thinking about how well “in the face of extermination say fuck you” fits in with kids from yesterday, a never ending song about love at the end of the world. i was also thinking about how queer people instantly identified with it. when i saw the video, i hadnt seen any comments but i understood and it made me burst into tears. the sentiment is what i get from a lot of their music — foundations, boy division, famous last words, skylines, helena, venom, among others — find the will to live by being angry about all the shit that wants to kill you. escape apathy. anger is to care and to care is to do something. you dont need the higher ground. say fuck you 🖕

I keep drinking coffee thinking it's gonna make me Productive and then instead of doing the work I actually have to do I just compulsively make spreadsheets :(
#my homework is. not done#but!!! i just realized if i take 2 spanish classes i can have a russian/spanish major instead of just russian#(it's complicated but this would leave me with: double major languages and history with a joint major in asian middle east studies)#(plus a minor in religious studies and concentration in islamicate studies)#first i gotta: relearn spanish for like the third time#but it's ok i'm hopping thru spain in less than a month so i should proooobably do that anyway#man when i was touring colleges my mom was like really dismissive about the idea of double majoring and now i'm here like#How Many Things Can I Stack Up To Get Big Number On Transcript#aaaaaaaand because of ames requirements i did the dumb thing and ended up learning persian while my spanish is still kinda iffy#итак совершилося то что я пытался предотвратить as they say#so i'm just gonna have to study two languages at once next semester... or just keep going thru the cycle of relearning them abt every year#my russian is a big girl it can survive on its own but i now gotta feed the babiessssss#tho ig what this kinda cyclically learning and forgetting spanish has taught me is like#languages are less like babies and more like those lil desert plants that wither up when they don't have any water#they might look dead but they're nearly impossible to kill completely#and will bounce right back after a lil care n patience. i just gotta like.... water em#the one thing standing in my way is ideological opposition to my spanish textbook#i have to pay $200 for access to a *website*#*i don't even get a book just a shitass ebook*#but it's ok one of the spanish profs likes me i think? i think she would let me skip the intro lit class#only problem is it was Genuinely Hard for me to follow along when i audited advanced lit... 90% of the class was heritage speakers#tho ig like. having taken a class meant for native russian speakers should help w learning to survive that kinda thing#genuinely i think i can do it#just gotta make that my goal. study. do it for zapata#and if i wanna go into translating... having good spanish should help right? like if i finally get b2 spanish?#yeah. if i could do kazakh history for native russian speakers i can do spanish lit for heritage spanish speakers. it's equivalent enough#but ok i'm gonna visit my buddy in spain who did nearly the exact same shitass majors combination as me#tho i think he did spanish/arabic for his language major and just Happens To Also Be Fluent In Russian cuz he's Like That#it's ok he's two years older than me i have two years to become that cool#he can tell me what to do

i LOVE how much you can see edgeworth's influence on klavier. klavier talks about finding the truth the way he does. klavier helps find the truth and doesnt look to win like he does. klavier doesnt treat defense attorneys like the enemy like he does. edgeworth took the long way, learning for himself what being a good prosecutor means and how the court should work then ensured the next generation didnt have to.

are we trying to positively frame terfs in our hcs now?
hate to be the bearer of bad (?) news but 1. radfem quite genuinely does not actually mean being a terf and this is just a hard fact about what the term actually means. radfems are trans inclusive and if they’re not, they’re terfs (like, ’terf’ is literally a term made up to separate radfems and terfs. because terfs are trans exclusionary radfems) and 2. my hc’s are never about ’positively’ framing anything, im just simply exploring characterizations no matter if they’re vile or positive ones
sometimes media and stories and characterizations are uncomfortable ones ! sorry!
