Acechiji Greek Mythology AU

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5

Hear me out: Gorgon!Ichiji who lives at a temple on the top of a hill, and Ace as the demigod hero who stops by while on his hunt of this other demigod who has wronged the name of his adopted father's house.

-Ace had been camping in the woods for days so he's grateful when he spots the temple just as the first drops of rain start falling down. By the time he reaches the top of the hill hes drenched but ecstatic for having somewhere to stay in, and plans to pay his respect to the god's priest that obviously lives there, based on how clean everything is inside.

-Ichiji has been living there for about a decade. His siblings and him had parted ways many years ago and he found in this old and abandonned temple of his mother a haven to hide himself from heroes looking for glory or scared villagers that could group and arm themselves to kill him.

-Not like Ichiji had killed anyone that hasn't attacked him first, but he knows that the snakes in his head and the cursed eyes activate the fight or flight instinct of most people so he would preffer avoiding any witchhunt if he could.

-He covers his eyes with a cloths too, thin enough for him to be able to discern shapes and movement around, but enough to protect his sensible eyes from bright light, and to hide his identity from anyone at first glance. Plus, theres two dozen of little snakes' eyes that can look around and hiss a warning if there was someone sneaking around and planning to hurt him

-Ace takes note on some things as he gets deeper into the temple: there's but a few torches lit, only giving the bare minimun of light in the main rooms, but he can tell that the deity there is loved by the offerings left in the altar. Ace kneels down and puts down the rabbit he had hunted as dinner earlier on it, right next to the little statues made by moonstone left in there, and makes a quick prayer to ask for the goddess' favour

-He notices that there's pieces of stone gathered in the corners of some rooms, as if someone had smashed a bunch of stone statues into pieces, which is a damn shame because from what he can tell, they were very detailed statues.

-He finds the priest in one of the unlit rooms, and he must have startled him because theres the low hiss of his sandals echo inside the chamber when he turns around to face Ace.

-It makes sense after a quick glance at his face, the man is blind, his eyes covered with a cloth bandage that went under his fringe and tied above one of his ear, and Ace clears his throat and tries to explain his motives and ask him if he could stay.

-The man thinks in silence, and despite the poor lighting Ace can tell from the shape of his profile, that he is a handsome one, though it is indeed quite difficult to even discern the color of his hair.

-The priest accepts his offering to the goddess and his request but asks that he leaves the following morning before the sun rises . And for now, thats enough for Ace, who goes to sleep relieved and planning for his gift of appretiation of the following morning that he plans to leave in the priest room right before he leaves.
