this was his genuine thought process when his mentor relationship with golare started going a bit abusive. his team literally had to tell him that the way golare was forcing his body wasn't good for him and help riano gain the backbone to fire him. (he missed their friendship deeply throughout that time, golare was like a father figure to him)

once golare had been reinstated as barka's coach however, it was all water under the bridge for riano. he was genuinely happy to have his friend back, and to see goldie (the fish he bought golare) doing so well. seeing goldie being well taken care of reassured riano that the friendship he had with golare wasn't one-sided.

so like for a bit i wanna reflect a little and i guess explain why im not a huge fan of the bonedeths/ah-oohs. and its pretty easy because

considering the fact theyre all huddling up in a karmen bunker(?) and sonarchy frequently used (in his introduction missions anyway) karmen structures to try and trap the uberhero and co

i think its a bit worse though considering this is a one-off line. from what i recall nothing about the karmens even comes up again. the same mission also references princess being stuck in an egg via naughtyfins, and it takes place /in/ a jungle.. if anything, theyre spitting out pata2 references and not actually doing anything with it (aside from naughtyfins being a love interest). anytime dynasty or ancient dynasty in this game is used i think its just.. obviously referring to the ah-oohs because thats what they call themselves

which like. if i had to be real. enslaved people is a big fucking deal and patapon literally slides this off and focuses on the dark heroes it is dark subject matter yeah but they put in a obviously implied murder suicide.. its just really disappointing in my eyes, something as serious as that could explain the karmens motivations and especially ormens but it never gets anymore depth

But anyways yeah I will definitely add those to my recommended 👀 I think one thing I've been having to watch out for is that I will see a series and then I'll read the comments and it might be something like "dont read this, its extremely unhappy, the mc suffers constantly and the ending is sad" and its like. Yeah I like dark content but I have to be careful when it comes to stories that are kind of just straight up tragedy porn? Idk. Like. When I write dark content its kind of contained into like a one-shot or a story with a few chapters, it isn't extremely drawn out to the extent ive seen with a lot of manhwa. I had my eyes on "Broken Promise: Married Man" or whatever the fuck its called bwcause it looked like it had some kinky stuff in it and then I look into it a little and almost everyone was saying "oh no dude don't read this unless you have a strong heart, bad shit CONSTANTLY happens, this man SUFFERS"

Idk its just, sometimes it can be hard to find my personal limits with that kind of thing 🥺 I don't think I've ever dropped anything for messing me up or anything but there are times I've read fanfictions and it made me like depressed the whole day 😅 the hunt for good stories constantly continues!

Also. It isn't a BL but ive heard Finding Camelia is good? It's a manhwa about a girl who is forced to live as a boy because she's the only heir to her family or something and she has to go through a journey of self growth and learn to feel good as herself and a girl again? I dunno, i don't know many details about it but ive seen a lot of people recommend it. Honestly I'm trying not to start too many stories at once but like I can't stop, I find a good story, start reading, oh wait it isn't complete, better find a another story, oh wait it isn't complete, wash rinse repeat ykwim

unpopular take but sometimes people headcanon stuff that i really dont think they should be making fun lighthearted headcanons about. like, if you headcanon a character as autistic or trans or gay i dont really care and im all of those things and actually i think thats dope as hell. but like... sometimes i see people headcanoning characters as having DID and i (has DID) am like. okay one how does this expand on or add to canon, two ummm why, and occasionally three are you inventing some fucking traumatic backstory too while youre at it?

like i get projecting and there is actually one character i personally headcanon as being dissociative, but sometimes ill see it for characters where it seems to just outright contradict all of canon and it confuses the hell out of me. shrug. i dunno this could obviously go for other mental disorders, but im talking about stuff ive noticed personally. anyone else weirded out by this kind of stuff?
