Nope, definitely not...lol. I know I've asked before why they chose my name, but I don't honestly remember. I think it basically just boils down to, my mom saw the name in a baby book and liked it *shrugs* Y'know...since this was before every other goddamn person was named 'Kelsey' lmao

2. When was the last time you cried?

Um...not that long ago, honestly. Like...a day or so maybe? I don't know, haha. But like...really really cried...also probably not that long ago, but I don't know. I feel like anymore I cry pretty easy

3. Do you have kids?

Nope, and it's gonna stay that way. I'm more than happy to remain the cool aunt

4. What sports do you play/have played?

I never really played sports. I like...very briefly did volleyball, but didn't stick with it. And likewise I did also golf a bit for a while, 'cause my dad. But...he's also the reason I quit lmao So *shrugs*

The urge to use sarcasm to answer this is strong, but...I shall refrain.

Eyes, I think.

I don't...really have any? That's not entirely true, but like...I don't know. I enjoy painting sometimes, but I just don't ever really have the...opportunity to do so anymore. Similar with reading.

One cat, her name is Cocoa and she's very cute. She's also getting older, and it makes me so sad 'cause I feel like it won't be long til she's gone and then I won't have a cat anymore, and....I gotta stop thinking about it or I'll start crying ajdklf;

14. Favorite subject in school?

Probably English. Not because I was ever super good at it (as you can probably tell), but I don't know...more the reading than the grammar of English. I did also take a class my freshmen yr of high school that was Creative Writing. I adored that class. And senior yr I had another class that was called Novels, also really loved that class. It actually got me back into liking to read books, so...it worked out that it was a class I did not sign up for, but got put in anyway, and I didn't want to ruin my schedule by switching to a different class. Sometimes laziness pays off ha

15. Dream job?

I...honestly don't know. Something that allows me to have as little interaction with others as possible ha. But yea...I really don't know. 'Cause like going back to painting. Let's say I got like...REALLY good at art, y'know. I...wouldn't want to make that a job I think. Similar to like...cooking. I can follow a recipe and stuff. I enjoy cooking/baking, but...I wouldn't want to do that for a job. I think it would suck all the enjoyment out of it for me. So I need something that I don't already like...super enjoy doing, so that I don't mind doing it but also so that it's not taking it away from me just...doing it in my spare time. ........yea I got nothing ha

Mutual, I'm lowkey obsessing over your tags about akatsuki Tsunade, can you elaborate more the basic timeline? Like how this would affect Tsunade's arc in classic and such

tbh i hadn't really thought about it lol

but.... let's say it happens during the search for tsunade arc? orochimaru and jiraiya are both gunning to get her on their side but you know what? the shark man said please. get your shit shizune we're going with these guys if you poison the little red-eyed shit on the way no judgement (kisame: maybe don't though?)

jiraiya is pissed, orochimaru is torn between being amused bc wow and being in agonizing pain bc his arms still don't work, naruto keeps trying to get her to come heal lee (and now sasuke) but she's having none of it so she just throws a file of miscellaneous notes at his head and tells him "find someone with good chakra control and pray" (sakura: omg i have good chakra control!!!!)

weirdly the member of team seven affected most by this is sasuke bc sakura has absolutely no fucking clue what she's doing at first and it takes her like an extra month to wake him up, so he needs to get back on his feet before he can decide if he wants to run off to orochimaru or not. lee is.... kinda sol, frankly. sakura works really really hard to help him out, and she's eventually able to get him to a place where he can do a few things, but by the time she's good enough to really be able to help him it's way too late. fortunately he's adapted somewhat, and being lee he's surpassed what anyone thought he'd be able to, but he's never going to be what he could've been. gaara feels terrible about this ofc but lee isn't the sort to really hold a grudge, even if pretty much everyone agrees he'd be perfectly justified in doing so. gai never forgives tsunade, though, not really.

concerning tsunade's role in the akatsuki.... the thing is, it's her own grandparents who started the whole jinchuuriki mess. and she's seen with her own two eyes what konoha did to places like amegakure; she was part of it. she doesn't like that the jinchuuriki die post extraction, so she starts looking into how to make that not happen, but if she does succeed, it isn't until after the gaara debacle, so chiyo still dies. her biggest motivation here is naruto - she doesn't agree with him, but he reminds her of nawaki, so she really doesn't want him to die if at all avoidable. she doesn't get too involved in the actual jinchuuriki capturing process tho; she's more useful patching people up after.

having said that, she doesn't fully agree with pain and konan's plan, she just can't really think of anything better. tobi tells sasuke about itachi while tsunade is patching him up, and since it's her family that led to this, she's pretty on-board with the whole "fuck this stupid baka village" thing (ofc she's been heading down that path since joining the akatsuki, so this isn't like canon!tsunade suddenly making this call; there's a couple years of character development first), so.... she's effectively on team sasuke at this point, and once he splits from the akatsuki she does as well.

iirc, post danzou, sasuke spent about eight and a half volumes just kinda adjusting mostly offscreen to his recent ert (eyeball replacement therapy), before skewering og white zetsu and fucking off to go accidentally reunite with zombitachi, but aside from decking itachi through a few trees on sight, idk how much about all that would change. immediately after, when sasuke brings back orochimaru, they have an awkward reunion, followed by yet another awkward reunion when orochimaru brings back the four dead hokage. she's both very happy to see her granddad again, but it's hard for her to tell him (and hiruzen, for that matter) that she deserted the village completely, even if she doesn't regret her decision.

now you may be wondering: weren't shizune and tonton also around? yes! but when sasuke went after danzou, they stayed behind, leading to shizune finding and managing to save konan after tobito killed her. there's a potential romance subplot there as well but i accidentally ruined it for myself by saying aloud "two girls one pig" and then regretting my whole life.

the other survival is jiraiya; he becomes hokage instead since it's either one of the sannin or one of the elders, and as much as he doesn't want the job, he really doesn't want them to have it. this in part means he can't go spying in ame himself, although he very nearly does after orochimaru's death gets reported, but instead he sends someone else. that person dies, but manages to get the information back to him (it has to be someone important to naruto, and it can't be kakashi, so maybe iruka? but idk how he'd be in espionage. maybe one of naruto's classmates did spy training offscreen? it's entirely possible with jiraiya as hokage instead of tsunade but idk). since jiraiya isn't a healer, he'd either need to be injured badly enough for danzou to be able to step in without him being able to object, or sasuke would just need to have his fight with danzou somewhere else (so the raikage's arm might survive also).

the final thing is that, unlike in canon, this version of tsunade never got naruto therapy'd, so while she does eventually get over the hemophilia somehow (maybe just existing in the relative vicinity of hidan did the trick), she never really dealt with the grief that caused her to leave konoha in the first place, so that's still very much there. however, i think maybe this could work to the story's advantage - instead of just naruto vs sasuke, it could be naruto and sakura vs sasuke and tsunade. tho in this instance sasuke really isn't alone, and isn't really trying to be by that point. it's more a battle of "do we try to fix the system from within, or do we really need to start from scratch for things to improve in any meaningful way", but ultimately the winner is the realization that four people from konoha not only shouldn't but honestly can't be the only ones making this call. if the world is going to move forward, it can't be dragged by a single person, or even two people. it's gotta be a group effort. idk if the story should go into the details of what they decide on, bc i'm definitely not politically savvy enough for something like that, or just have an open ending leaving whatever happens next up to interpretation.

2. Which of your WIPs is currently the longest?

So technically Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em is sitting at 17,852 words but most of that is chapter 1 and 2 which I’ve already posted. Unpost WIP is Buddie MMA Rivals AU ( I don’t mind if we fight, If you make me bleed) which is sitting at 4,681 words, plus a few thousand more in planning.

3. Which WIP do you expect will end up the longest?

Buddie MMA Rivals AU has 9 chapters planned, others might get longer like For you mi amor, I choose death/Buddie Mafia or Street racing/Fast and Furious AU but I haven’t planned them out yet so I’m not sure. 

4. Which WIP is your favourite to write/the most enjoyable to write? Why?

I’m really enjoying writing Only the Already Bad Can Be Influenced/Crop top and short shorts fic it’s so ridiculous and I’m enjoying writing something so silly. 

5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why?

Post lawsuit- I'll Call Your Mom fic Definitely, in fact, I haven’t even started this fic because I know it’s going to be a tough write and I wanted to be in the right headspace myself before I tackle the tough subjects that are going to be in it. It kinda scares me, I don't want it to send me into a depressive spiral but I also know it will be kinda cathartic so 🤷🏻

6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why?

Librarian AU/Let me check you out and You make bad day infinitely better because I'm writing them from someone else's idea. Like don't get me wrong I love the ideas but I'm constantly doubting if it's what they had in mind and if I'm actually doing it justice.

7. Which of your WIPs will you seek out a beta/sensitivity reader for? Why?

I don't usually get my fics beta read (not that I'm against it.) But I'll probably get my angst fics that deal with hard topics a sensitivity reader to make sure I'm dealing with them with respect. I do send snippets to @eddiediaztho and we've brainstormed a few ideas for some of these WIPs.

8. Have any of your WIPs been struck by the curse of writer's block?

Oh yeah all of them at some point and most of them atm.

9. Which WIP has your favourite OC? Tell us about them?

No major oc, just a few names here and there especially in Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em because none of the fire fam are in this fic so I had to create some characters to be in Buck and Eddie’s life. 

10. Which WIP is the sexiest?

I don't know I write a lot of smut. I suppose it depends because in sword buddie pt. 2/ Under the Guise of Violence and For you mi amor, I choose death/Buddie Mafia I'll probably be writing kinks I haven't before but I really want The heatwave fic to be super sexy like all the feel and just filthy sex (think @forthewolves vibes).

11. Which WIP is the angstiest?

Post lawsuit- I'll Call Your Mom(Noah Kahan) fic deals with Buck's terrible headspace after the lawsuit and something he tries to do to end it all or Don’t go where I can’t follow fic in which Buck is dying and Eddie is begging him to stay. Both will have happy/hopeful endings because that's something I need.

12. Which WIP has the best characterisation (in your humble opinion)?

Either You Make Bad Day Infinitely Better or Someone to be Gentle- Buddie fic I think both of them really take the time to get into Eddie's head and what he's thinking and feeling. Also, Chapter Two of Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em explores Buck and his insecurities (sprinkled in between the smut of course).

13. Which WIP has the best scene setting (in your humble opinion)?

Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em because of the Rodeo and the time I put in researching rodeos and bull riding. However I also like the more subtle setting of You Make Bad Day Infinitely Better- Eddie's child's home; the backyard, their childhood hideout and his old room. The setting plays a big part in the story so I tried to pay a lot of attention to it and make it as detailed as possible.

14. Which WIP have you worked the hardest on?

Probably the ones that I've had to research a lot for so Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em and Buddie MMA Rivals AU. Also, all the artwork I've done/doing of Rodeo Star Buck.

15. Which WIP do you have the highest expectations for? Why?

Ohhh Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em because it's the longest fic and my first multi-chapter fic.

16. Do you dream about any of your WIPs?

No, but I do turn some dreams into wips.

17. Do any of your WIPs have particular complexities that that your other fics don't?

Street racing/Fast and Furious AU probably because it's based on a movie and I haven't done an AU based on another story yet. And it's going to have street racing which will be interesting to write.

18. Which WIP is the funniest or has the most humour?

Buck gets dumps, gets drunk with Eddie and thinks they slept together fic is going to be silly and goofy and I can't wait to write it.

19. 9. Do any of your WIPs contain outside POVs or a deep dive on a character other than the main ship? How are you finding that process?

No, but I do want to eventually, I'm still getting used to writing Buddie and fanfiction in general.

20. Tell us one thing we don't know about one or more of your WIPs

So I was right, no one was able to guess what WIP my Out of Context Line was from! It's from Someone to be Gentle- Buddie fic which is a 5+1 fic: Five times Buck is gentle with Eddie + One time Eddie repays his gentleness. It's based on my poem of the same name! The snippet is from the first chapter called To Hold Me While I Cry.

well since the coup thing here just kinda sorta ended i guess i think this is as good time as ever to tell yall about my silly little modern au because why the hell not. i had this au for a while as a source for jokes but it just kept growing and growing untill. well I'm actually writing fic about (parts of) this but again it's in russian so i just want to outline the ideas. this is totally went off the rails but i like it that way

"Benny" is a tad strange, doesn't hold back from telling John how he feels (miracle he's still alive) and just doesn't know how to talk to Sinners (imagine refusing lunch from Sabrina because you're salty that you have to be on guard duty).

Smartest:

Hard to pick just one here, I'd say all of them are quite resourceful. For example: Sabrina has been a Detective for ages and is super good at reading people and coming up with plans/thinking ahead, Mercedes for example also reads people like an open book especially when they're lying.

Dumbest *affectionate* (because he loves to have terrible ideas):

I don't know where I should even start with him. He leaves John "love" notes anytime he destroys his shite, just to name one.

Hihi!! It's 🧈 anon, and I was wondering again if maybe you could write a fic for Jun han?

Like the reader is kinda like the laid back reader except they use substances like smoking and drinking (if you're not comfortable with this just leave it out), and Jun han is going to a party that the reader is hosting but the rest of the group tags along.

And the reader ends up starting a fight with one of the members (maybe gunil or o.de) and they both end up bruised and battered but Jun han only patches up reader bc he has that "I can fix him" mentality but reader just starts being an ass to Jun han and says some hurtful things

Definitely want it to be hurt and angst with no comfort. I want to feel terrible, that's just the mood I'm in for.

☆彡 I’m still not the best at writing angst, so you’ll have to excuse me. It’s definitely not as physical as you wanted- it’s mainly just an argument. My bad. Also, sorry this took so long! I ended up dropping a class this week! Haha! I love college!

Throwing parties was never unusual for you. Almost every other week you seemed to be throwing a rager. This week was no different.

Your boyfriend and his friends had just arrived at your door now that they were done with work, and all of them were displaying different emotions. Your boyfriend, Hyeongjun, seemed happy to be there- or at least to see you. He was a little awkward, granted, but happy to be there. Jiseok and Jooyeon were right there along with him. They were happy to be out and about on a Friday night as opposed to being cooped up in the studio practicing.

Gunil presented himself with a pleasant smile and wave, nothing more. The same with Jungsu, although he also came off as a little more nervous. Seungmin, on the other hand, you could tell was not in the mood to be here right off the bat. He occupied himself on his phone as you greeted the group and welcomed them into your home. He wore a slight scowl on his face, and it didn’t go unnoticed by you.

Your small house was full of people. 30 at least. The music was loud, the air was sticky, and there were people everywhere. Jooyeon and Jiseok quickly made their way to the kitchen.

“Thanks for coming, baby,” you yelled to Hyeongjun over the music. You already had a drink in your hand- your second one of the night. Seungmin rolled his eyes at you as you flung your free arm over Hyeongjun’s shoulders. The party had only started about an hour ago, and you were already on your way to making a fool out of yourself.

“Of course,” Hyeongjun chuckled. You were so dazed from the combination of alcohol and the warmth coming off of his body that you didn’t pick up on his tone. Hyeongjun isn’t a partier. It took a lot of convincing to get him to come over tonight. He clearly wasn’t very comfortable in this atmosphere, but you were too out of it to notice.

“Can I get you anything to drink?” As you looked at Hyeongjun, he began to take note of the slight pink hue in your cheeks.

“Um,” he looked down at your cup. “I’ll just have a water. Somebody’s gotta take care of Jooyeon later.”

You laughed and quickly gave him a kiss before disappearing into the kitchen. It was at this point that Seungmin took his opportunity to come talk to Hyeongjun.

“Dude,” he said, putting a reassuring hand on Hyeongjun’s shoulder. “You don’t have to stay. I know you told (Y/N) you’d come over tonight, but I doubt they’d want to make you uncomfortable.”

“Oh, uh,” Hyeongjun took a second to look at the floor before returning his gaze to Seungmin. “It’s alright. I can stay.”

“Are you sure? I know this isn’t typically your type of thing.”

“Yeah, I’ll be alright. Besides, I don’t plan on drinking or anything so I’ll be fine.”

Just then, you returned with a cup full of water for Hyeongjun, and your cup had been topped off as well. You handed him his cup and took a sip out of yours. A new song started to play over the speakers, and you gasped excitedly.

“Oh my god I love this song! C’mon, Jun, let’s go dance!”

Hyeongjun quickly averted his eyes to the group of people all dancing together in your living room. He saw Gunil dancing with a girl on his arm, laughing to each other as they bobbed to the music. Hyeongjun couldn’t help but to smile.

“I think I’m okay with just watching. You go have fun though. I think Jiseok is out there somewhere if you want to find him.”

“Nooo,” you whined, practically throwing yourself at him. “I don’t wanna dance with Jiseok, I wanna dance with youuuu. C’mon, baby, pleeeease.” You took one of Hyeongjun’s hands and started slowly walking him out towards the crowd of people. He didn’t say anything, he just swallowed hard, accepting his fate. That was, until, a voice spoke up.

“He said no.”

You looked over Hyeongjun’s shoulder to find Seungmin glaring at you.

“Excuse me?” You walked your way over to him, still keeping a firm hold on Hyeongjun’s hand. You took another drink out of your cup.

“Hyeongjun told you he didn’t want to dance, so don’t force him to. He can stay here with me.” Seungmin’s expression was stern, but his voice was calm. For some reason, this made you angry.

“Oh I’m sorry,” you looked up at him. “Am I suddenly the bad guy for wanting my boyfriend to have a good time? Because I don’t think I am. So why don’t you-“ you poked Seungmin’s chest “just shut the fuck up?” Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Hyeongjun’s eyes widen. “C’mon, babe, let’s go.” You started to pull on his arm again.

“What did you just say to me?” Once again, you turned your attention to Seungmin. You dropped Hyeongjun’s hand entirely, and got close to Seungmin. He stood straight up now, and if looks could kill, you’d be on death row.

“I said,” you couldn’t see it, but Hyeongjun sent Jungsu a pleading look once he was located across the room. Jungsu noticed immediately. “Shut. The fuck. Up.”

There was a beat of silence between the two of you again before Seungmin finally responded.

“Make me.”

With that, something inside of you snapped, and the drink in your hand was suddenly all over Seungmin. He wasn’t typically one to fight, but he wasn’t going to stand by as you did something that blatantly made his friend uncomfortable. As the people in the room slowly began to take note of the situation at hand, Jungsu began to budge his way through the crowd. Seungmin was quick to react, reeling his hand back and swinging an open palm at you, landing a harsh slap wherever he could reach. He ended up catching your cheek, and one of his rings caught your skin.

Before you could do anything other than yell more profanities at him, Hyeongjun was grabbing you- throwing his body around yours and pulling you away from Seungmin. Jungsu quickly made his way up to Seungmin, putting a hand on each of his shoulders and holding him back as well. As you continued to yell, Hyeongjun pulled you away to the small bathroom down the hall. Once inside, he locked the door and stood in front of it, forcing you to stay inside and take a second to breathe.

“What was that for?” He asked softly. “I’ve never seen you act like that before, and suddenly you get drunk and start fighting with one of my friends?”

“Oh, so you think I’m only doing this because I’m drunk?” You were yelling at him. Hyeongjun was surprised. He assessed the scratch left on your cheek by Seungmin’s ring, and he began looking for bandages.

“Yes, (Y/N), I do.” The bandages were located quickly. He held it up to you, “Come here.”

You approached Hyeongjun and crossed your arms. He began to unwrap the bandage. “I was trying to get you to have some fun, Jun. I was doing that for your own good. Seungmin’s just a bitch.”

“Hey,” Hyeongjun pulled away from you now. The tan bandage on your cheek held a strong contrast compared to the flush over the rest of your face. “Don’t call him that.”

“Am I wrong?”

“Yes! Seungmin was just trying to help me.”

“Help you?” You scoffed. “That’s so stupid. I was just trying to make you loosen up a little.”

“And I didn’t want to do that, but you clearly didn’t care enough to realize.”

“God, you’re so fucking boring.”

Hyeongjun felt a pain in his chest. He always worried about being “boring.” You knew this. It was a huge insecurity of his.

“So first you’re going to get in a fight with one of my best friends, and now you think I’m boring?” He was finally starting to raise his voice a bit.

“Yeah, I do,” you confirmed. “You and all of your stupid friends. The only one out of all of you who knows how to have fun is Jiseok. Maybe I should’ve dated him instead.”

That was it for Hyeongjun. He knew things between you weren’t going to be the same the second you raised your voice to Seungmin, but this just solidified it.

“Yeah,” his voice was quiet again, but still stern. “Maybe you should’ve.” He began to walk towards the door, and your rampage only continued.

“Yeah, leave!” You called out to him. “Go cry to Seungmin. I wanna see what he’ll do now.”

Hyeongjun slammed the door on you before making his way back down the hall. All of Hyeongjun’s friends were waiting for him in the kitchen. He silently rushed past them all as he made his way towards the front door. Seungmin tried to apologize, but Hyeongjun just kept walking.

“Let’s just go home. We don’t have any reason to be here.”

Best and Worst sandman spinoffs 👀

Ooh okay, thanks!! Now I kind of feel awkward because in compiling this list I realize I might have to walk back what I said in that tag a little. I mean I did mention "obvious stuff like Overture and the Death comics" but putting all the stuff I think is good out there it really makes me realize how many good Sandman spinoffs and side issues there are. So...sorry if the Worst list is a lot shorter than the best *shrug*. I kinda wrote those tags without thinking too hard, and still bitter off reading the one thing that topped my Worst section. But if you just want whatever my opinions are anyway, then I figured why not?

So, in this list, I'm counting anything that isn't the original Sandman series that ended with the Wake as spinoff. That includes things written by the original author. This obviously contains spoilers for everything I'm gonna mention.

Best:

Sandman Overture (slight spoilers incoming): Obsessed with absolutely everything about this book. The story: immaculate and ties up a lot of loose ends about how our sad wet cat of an anthropomorphic personification got weakened enough to be imprisoned in the first place. Desire and Dream have to work together to literally save the cosmos and the group project goes off so well it makes their constant rivalry feel all the more tragic, because it shows what a massive cosmic goddamn waste it all was. What was it all for? What could they accomplish together if these characters were different enough to be capable of putting their pride and grudges aside more than once in a blue moon? What could their world look like? We find out the origin of Dream's Hope, a thing we thought we understood but this gives that moment a whole new meaning. And the art - good lord, sometimes I just like to stare at a panel, because every artist who worked on this comic apparently snapped and it is glorious.

Death: The Time of Your Life. I mean: this is a story written by the series original author and it shows. It has two dysfunctional lesbians at the center whose love for each other and their son still manages to be powerful enough to be the core of the story and catch the attention of an Endless. Also: Death is here and wonderful as always. And it's beautifully written and I'm never going to stop being weak over it. It means so much to me.

Endless Nights: again, written by the same author as Sandman and the illustrations in almost every section are either gorgeous or fucking haunting: and each one is a story where the other Endless get to shine. How can I not stan.

Death, the High Cost of Living: It features Death really heavily so right there...yeah. And the male protagonist, while he seems annoyingly broody at times, feels like a really realistically written teenager who's gone through some serious stuff in his life. I just love this story, it's short but wonderful.

Dream Hunters: this feels like a simple fairytale at first where Dream barely features at the end, but it sucks you in and the art style is unique and very well done. This book to me is proof that a story doesn't even need to be cosmic in scope to be a compelling tale that even still feels like one small story in that same world. It's not like, my favorite but I stand by what I said that it is a solid story with lovely art to bring it to life.

Worst:

Simon Spurrier's run of the Dreaming. If this is a favorite of yours, please just skip the bulleted sections lol, I'm sorry.

Honestly it's not all bad, some people hate it a LOT more than I do, but it just frustrates me so much. Because to me, it could easily have been salvaged, with heavy editing or some things being better fleshed out. In the end, it just SCREAMS wasted potential to me. It started off being decently written, and there were some not-terrible ideas in theory such as Dora's backstory, or the greatest threat to the realm of human dreams being an AI made up by someone who wants more control over the world and thinks he could run it better. In theory I even like the idea that Daniel makes some poor life choices and it causes consequences for his realm as he has to learn the responsibility of a ruler.

I like those elements in theory...but in execution?? God. It all felt SO half baked and several people (Lucien and Mervyn) got pulled pretty far out of character. And in the end, Daniel and Dora both left me utterly cold. I honestly feel like the writer couldn't make up his mind what he wants Daniel to be as a character, and Dora just...ehh. She was clearly meant to be sympathetic and there were moments I WANTED to sympathize: but idk, I just couldn't connect with her. She kind of had the vibe, to me, of someone's first OC they wrote when they were 13 who's bitchy in a kind of cringey #Girlboss way, but it's supposed to be charming solely because she has a tragic backstory.

Then you take the fact that the Walker clan gets brought back - and yet with no real resolution, no more than the Wake left?? This could've made the frankly baffling plot Rose got in Kindly Ones be the start of something more, maybe Desire's actions could have been given some purpose or explanation. But...nope.

Miranda Walker is half Endless yet she manages to die of cancer - even if she was half human, I find it a little difficult to believe that she would be able to die the exact same way a normal human would given what we know of Orpheus' fate in the original series. She's in pain but it doesn't feel like there's any real struggle in the end. But that's a pretty minor nitpick...my real beef is, she gets next to no lines and nothing to do, she contributes nothing to the plot. We learn little to nothing of her relationships with Rose and Jed, or Ivy. This woman is the child of Desire and I have ALWAYS thought she deserved to be more fleshed out. But we get even less than Neil Gaiman ever gave us, her character is quietly poofed out of things without so much as a whimper, and we never learn anything more about who she was. Jed fares little better, I don't think he even appeared.

Rose does get more to do, thank God. But in the end she gets no resolution, even a tragic one, no answers, she isn't allowed to grow. She even gets to interact with her grandfather but the possibilities for serious drama and tragedy dealing with the fallout of that are all swept to the side in favor of plot drama from characters like Dora Daniel and Ivy, who...existed, I guess.

If you're wondering why I'm not talking about Waking Hours, Kiernan's Dreaming or the Season of Mists manga at all, its simple: I haven't actually read any of them all the way through. I've only seen some panels of the manga in passing online and the descriptions of the premises. I REALLY want to see if I can get my hands on copies or find them online and read them for myself. I've heard that the Season of Mists manga and Kiernan's Dreaming are kind of cracked out and weird, but that only feeds my curiosity tbh. I've also heard Waking Hours is good.

Vulnerable - DBD Entry

A/N: I thought of this from a roleplay with one of my moots. Jae also has a hard time opening up since he is a distant demon so I wanted to kinda go in depth with his character. I'm also tagging some moots since their muse's were mentioned in this entry <3

Vulnerable means being susceptible to emotional or physical harm.

There are many things that can cause us to be vulnerable, sometimes, it can be risk-taking. I learned that countless times. That’s what makes me emotionally and physically distant, but not to the point of isolation.

Before I gained trust issues, I used to express my emotions, share things to those I thought I could trust, and even expressed physical pain. Those same people I’ve opened up to either vanished from thin air or they took advantage of me. I was ridiculed by my friends or family, went through emotional and mental abuse, was described as “sensitive” or “weak”, or forced into a state of vulnerability by manipulation or even physically. Nothing escalated but it still wasn’t a good feeling... For years, I didn’t learn my lesson; I just kept falling down the rabbit hole of consequences. I always asked myself, “Why was I so lenient? So trusting? What did I do to them to deserve this?” The problem was, I didn’t read between the lines. I was innocent and naïve… I still am. I wasn’t the type to wear a heart on my sleeve but I was the type that wanted to see the good in people.

One of the biggest lessons I learned was that there aren’t many good people left… It was one of those hard pills to swallow. Not all angels are good beings and not all demons are terrible beings. But that doesn’t make every angel bad or every demon good.

After I stopped throwing myself down the rabbit hole of consequences, I stopped trusting people. The only person I really trust with my life is Omarion. He was the only person who never neglected me, never went behind my back, who listened to me, never judged me for who I am and who I became, and still loved me at my worst. He’s the first person to ever see me cry. And he will be the last. Even though some of my demonic siblings and my dad are also trustworthy, I still will turn to Omar.

In The Fog, I ended up making some friends. And my friends caught me in the moments I felt vulnerable. Leon saw me cry for the first time, Jed saw me sick, Roze saw me injured badly by The Oni, Morgana was always there to help me, Lillie saw me panic from the thunderstorm.

And guess what? They didn’t judge me or anything. They didn’t abandon or neglect me. When they comforted me, it left me an uncanny yet warm feeling. Growing up, I didn’t experience much comfort. Being comforted made me suspect the person for pretending to care for me when they don’t. It made me feel like the person felt like they had to do it because it’s expected. I don’t expect anyone to give me pity, sympathy, or anything. This also became the reason why I am awkward when it comes to comforting others. I’m not used to people being nice and caring towards me. I’ve always been treated like an outcast or somewhat a monster. But this won’t stop me from trying to comfort anyone else.

I still feel iffy showing my vulnerable side to anyone, even my friends. This isn’t me putting up a tough and bitchy façade to prove anything… 

This is me protecting myself from the trauma.

This post is made for people who just want an explanation for why they struggle with social interaction and it's also just a way to get my feelings out myself. I hate being nice sometimes.

Being friends with people who have seen/gone through some fucked up shit or are just mentally insecure is the norm for me. None of my friends are sane. I'm no different, having been basically raised by the internet and mentally neglected in school for a few years. (Not in highschool tho) There are times where I can relate to my friends heavily, and times when I question whether or not they need like 3 therapists. We typically just like to make insensitive and dark-humored jokes via discord though, since my dry sense of humor works well with theirs. It always works out well...

Until I we end up talking about serious issues in life.

Don't get me wrong, I am more than willing to listen to them when they need to vent about something or get any pent-up sadness out there. They listen to me info-dump all the time, so it's only fair I listen to them too. It's just basic human empathy!

However, I'm terrible at just. Talking to people normally. I cannot hold a regular conversation about real life even if it would save me from some kinda imminent danger! I hate having to talk about anything but my hyperfixations because I then just don't know what else to talk about. So when my friends start venting or asking for advice on something, I freeze up.

I overthink. I freak out. I panic. I feel the need to say something, anything to my friend, because they are my friend and they need support! But nothing comes out of my mouth. I stutter, I sputter, I start treating the situation like a college-level math equation because the situation is so goddamn deep and it's all so complicated and then all of a sudden they look at me like they expect me to say something and I can't say anything because my brain can't process what they're talking about and I just don't know how to react and I don't know what to say and if I do say something it'll be along the lines of "I can't relate" or "I'm sorry" or "I don't know what to say about that" and all of those options are so stupid and so rude and will end up ruining our dynamic/relationship because I acted out of line and I didn't do the right thing and I assumed something about their issues and I'm a failure and I'm stupid and I should've kept my mouth shut and I'm gonna lose them forever and I made them feel worse and now I feel worse and-

...

I don't get stressed easily. I'm not level-headed in the slightest, but I don't really freak out about a lot of things. I'm always just indifferent about things.

It's painful for me when I'm stuck in these situations though because I actually start internally freaking out! I never know what to say or do, even with people I've known for years! I'm not in any bad blood with my family. I'm not in desperate need of a therapist. I'm not suicidal and I sure as hell don't have depression. My life is relatively normal compared to all my friends, who all have some sort of physical and/or mental problem, so I never know how to act when they bring up their issues. I internally panic and I beg whatever holy being I feel like worshiping that I find the words, but they never come. So I just end up feeling like a jerk, like we shouldn't be friends and that I'm the worst person in the world.

I know it's all in my head. I know these fears and insecurities are irrational. I know that they probably are glad that I just listened in the first place. But sometimes, it's all just too much.

So in short, I hate being nice sometimes.

I'll be honest, this was all just me venting on fuccin Tumblr of all places, and I do wish I could provide any comforting words for those who feel the same and need to hear something nice. But true to my own words, I just don't have anything to say. I do believe that you, the reader, can get better and I do have hope for others who struggle with social interaction, because it's just a small issue in the grand scheme of things and it doesn't truly matter. For me though? I got nothing. I don't have any hope for me. I'm just doomed to the internet for all of eternity.

All I can say, is that you should keep your head up and not lose hope with these kinds of things. Don't worry about every little syllable, don't stress over every single word. Chances are nobody will give a crap and they'll just be happy that you listened. The worst case scenario is that they'll tell you what you said was insensitive. That's it. Someone's told me that before, and it sucked, but it truly is the worst that can happen, and you'll likely get over it soon. So again, don't worry over every little thing. It's alright, everything's okay, and it will be okay.

Scary movies or happy endings?

I love scary things. I read horror books, I watch horror film, I play horror games. I write horror stories for not-tumblr places. Cheesy horror, gory horror, body horror, cosmic horror . . . I think the only scary things I don't enjoy are the 'this could really happen' kind of stories (think home invasion, kidnapping and torture, non-supernatural serial killers). Dark fantasy and cosmic horror are my favorites. I highly recommend Joe Abercrombie (technically grim dark but hell . . .) and HP Lovecraft if you're horror-curious.

Patience and the stubbornness of an old mule. Special? Maybe not. Useful? Oh yes.

I would LOVE to write for video games and TTRPG. Apparently the pay is crap, the hours are terrible, crunch will kill you, and the devs will tank all your best ideas. But I still want to do it.

Were you named after anyone?

Actually, I was named "in honor of" my great-grandmother, whose name turned out to be double alliterative with my surname, so my parents then chose a different first name. My middle name was in honor of my other great-grandmother (and again they modernized the name, although in that case, I wish they hadn't, because "Lena" would have been a much more interesting middle name than "Lynn" which is what they ended up with.

When was the last time you cried?

Within the last week.... family tsuris.

Do you have kids?

Nope.

Do you use sarcasm?

it is my factory default setting.

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I have a terrible memory for faces, seriously awful, and I almost need to meet people three times before I can call their image to mind and match a name to it. Therefore, what I always do is try to find a unique feature that will help me remember them. So, it varies.

What’s your eye colour?

Brown.

Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. Not a fan of scary.

Any special talents?

Writing, I guess. If you go with less than usual talents, I have a really good auditory memory (better than my reading memory), and am pretty good at identifying people by their voices (probably a compensation for the terrible face memory), songs by the first few notes, dialogue from movies.

Where were you born?

Somewhere in the continental U.S. is as much as I am prepared to reveal.

What are your hobbies?

Reading, photography, walking, writing, video games, movies, ice skating (though... it's been a while).

Have any pets?

Two cats and they hate each other.

What sports do/have you played?

My parents, being of the opinion that their kids should always be busy and have hobbies, signed me up for every recreational sport available in my town - that included softball, floor hockey, horseback riding, swimming, golf, and tennis. I was terrible at ALL of them. As an adult, I learned how to figure skate, and was oddly not terrible at it (granted, I wasn't good either, but I did pass up through ISI 4 freestyle, and could land all the single jumps except the axel).

How tall are you?

On the shorter end of average.

Favorite subject at school?

English and journalism ... I liked history a lot, but all of the history teachers were just the sports coaches marking time until practice after school, so my history education tended to be self-motivated.

Working screenwriter or television writer.

So one of Toad's anons asked for a story where basically reader's love language is anything but physical touch, right? Like they're okay with it but they don't really return the gestures or anything. Then when Tommy hugs the reader on stream and everything and they don't return it, chat gets antsy and starts talking kinda negatively about the reader. Tommy's stream had already been going for half an hour when you knocked on his door.

"MUM!! I'M LIVE!!!" he shouted over his shoulder without turning around.

You opened the door, and chat immediately went crazy, almost spamming your name. Tommy remained unaware due to his headphones.

"Chat, what- you're all crazy-" he turned, trying to prove his point. "NOT CRAZY. HI," he declared to your amusement.

"Hey, Tommy," you said, pulling up your chair. "Hi, chat."

Tommy slung an arm around you, gently shaking you from side to side. "Chat was right for once," he smiled.

You just smiled, letting him finish before rearranging your chair. He kept his arm around your shoulders despite the fact that the controls to the game he was playing were far more difficult to reach.

The stream was as chill a stream as it could be since it was Tommy after all. Both of you nearly fell out of your chairs several times before the first hour was up. Every once in a while Tommy would rub your shoulder with his thumb or pat your head, and a few people in his chat got confused when you barely seemed to notice it.

Finally, though, you moved to stand up, telling Tommy you were getting water. He hugged you, not worried when you didn't return it.

Not so for chat. By now, the few people had got the attention of a larger group while he hadn't been looking at chat, and they were discussing why you hadn't hugged him back for the whole stream.

Tommy looked at chat. "Wait, hold on... hold on. Chat." He leaned back and looked at the camera. "Okay, look. I'm only gonna say this once. They're just.. I'm gonna tell you, alright?" He stopped to think for a moment as he paused the game.

"Chat, they've been really supportive of me. I'm gonna just jump right into this. They're awesome. It's really nice, y'know? They help me with vlogs and streams. A lot. They have unlimited patience," he added with a smile. "I know. I know I test it on the daily and somehow they've never.. y'know, they don't get angry in the slightest no matter what I do. Other people find some things about me annoying, but they never have, you know what I mean?" He paused again.

"They aren't a huge fan of giving physical affection, and I get that. It's something we just aren't really worried about, y'know? I don't mind. They've done so much for me, chat, that honestly I couldn't care less if they don't feel like giving me a hug or.. whatever it might be. That's all I'm gonna say on it," he said abruptly, resuming the game.

Once he got his mind back on track to what he'd been doing, you came back in carrying water for the both of you. Unbeknownst to him, you'd heard most of what had happened.

You didn't bring it up until much later, after the stream. You had been heading out the door to go home when you turned.

"Tommy?"

"Yeah?" he said immediately, spinning on his heel to face you.

"I, um.. I heard what happened earlier today. With chat."

He thought for a second, then sighed. "You know the internet, fuckin.." another sigh escaped him. "I'm sorry, I tried to say the right things, but-"

"No, no, Tommy. Thank you." You gave him a little smile.

The nervousness on his face immediately changed to relief. "Yeah?"

You nodded. "That.. that meant a lot."

He smiled. "Of course. Anytime."

° okay, right off the bat, this man is soooo protective of you. he's never gonna let anything hurt you (or at least he's gonna try to ensure that).

° heart eyes mother fucker! derek has this look in his eyes that he only reserves for you and everyone (cough cough! stiles!) always brings it up but Derek genuinely just denies it point blank every single freaking time. (his eyes have this soft warmth to them whenever they gaze at you. it's super sweet.)

° you're certainly one of the people that he's playful with and the pack really enjoy seeing this side of derek more often. you help him feel less alone and teach him how to love more deeply. you're also much healthier for him than his other past relationships - *i'm looking at you kate and jennifer!*

° he'd literally do anything for you oml. derek's always doing whatever he can to help you out, although sometimes he may be slightly awkward if you're vulnerable and there are a lot of feelings on the table. over time he really gets better at feeling comfortable with vulnerability when it comes to you and others. anger isn't his main emotion any more, because there isn't as much pressure riding on his shoulders from being an alpha.

He also stops to think that Steve’s asked him to stay, which means Bucky must be trusted with their happiness and well-being, at least in some small capacity.

Bucky clears his throat and searches for some explanation that will help Amelia make sense of this sudden turn of events. “Because we love each other,” is all he comes up with.”

Alright. I kinda feel like there's no interesting love interest in New Era. I just want to say, that it is my opinion and of course, everyone can think the way the want!

So, in The Origins I found every LI interesting. Leiftan (he was my favourite), because of his mysterious personality and this whole trailor-plot later on, his parents, his guardians (I'm not sure if this is how you write it in english, oops) and his motives. My second favourite, Valkyon, also was an amazing character! I loved his opening up to Erika, his family plot, finding out he's a dragon - it was awesome route to play. Next, we have Ezarel, and, my Lord, I can say without hesitation his route was the most fun to play with! His backstory, his honey obsession, his funny nicknames. This find about not like to being touched (which was never explained, thanks a lot, Beemoov) and finally - his jokes. His fantastic teasing and this back-and-forth with Erika. And, we have Nevra. I adored that guy. He was funny, charming and unforgattable. His route was super cool, a bit awkward at times, but in a good way! And his dialogues, it was so funny!

But now? Well. We have Leiftan, Lance, Mathieu and Nevra. And, hm. I'm going to sound really mean, so, yeah. They are not interesting at all, at least for me. Leiftan? He looks way less attractive (sorry, bae, but that's the true - Beemoov made you look terrible), but that's not the main issue. For me, he's still a bit interesting. I'm curious about his backstory (I hope Beemoov will give me that), his relationship with Lance, etc. But, at the same time, he's just, a different character? Maybe only I think so, but I feel like he totally lost his personality, and I understand that he's feeling really guilty about that he's done and he probably going through a lot inside, but, now, I feel like he's so empty? I dunno. Maybe, it's because in The Origins there was this whole trailor/deamon plot, but at the same time, I chose Leiftan to be my LI without knowing he's a traitor - I was interested in him, but now, for some odd reason, it disapeared. Maybe, it's because Beemoov totally forgot about this whole soulmate thing? (what I mean is: in spin off, he tells us how much he waited for "Erika" to come, how much he adored her, ect, ect, and it's just weird that the completely gave up on it) I dunno, he's just, different in New Era. Lance - alright, I totally hate him, but he's the most interesting route, I give you that. He still doesn't make me super intrested, but I am curious about him, his route and stuff (but I'm pretty sure Beemoov will ruin it by rushing things off), so yeah. Mathieu, oh, Lord. I mean, I don't mind him being a human (I know some people do, and that's okay, it's a fantasy game after all), but he's just, for me (remember, this whole post is my opinion!), so boring. Only thing that interests me it this "him being a traitor" headcanon (I re-blog it a few days ago), but it's just a speculation and it would've been a huge rip-off of The Origins, so I dunno. He's kinda boring to me, sorry. Maybe, later on in the story, he'll turn out to be interesting. The last one, Nevra - omg. I totally feel like he lost his charm. I adored Nevra in TO (I loved every single LI in The Origins, tbh) and now, I miss him. He's no longer this flirty, funny vampire. You could say that he "grew up" or "got mature", but that doesn't work for me, I really liked him back then. Really. And, how come he didn't pick up on this whole "movie thing" in episode 4? (When Erika tells him, that the scene was like from the movie), I mean he was the master in flirts and talking to girls, how couldn't he pick up on this? She literally, straight up said r-o-m-a-n-t-i-c. I dunno, maybe I have unrealistic ideas/expectations.

I miss "Ezarel's personality" (I miss Ezarel in general). I miss different body types, different personalities, different backstory. Now, what we have? Flirty, but stupid human, "mature" and a bit awkward vampire, quiet daemon that broke up with us for some reason and hm, hard-to-understand dragon. Nice.

Alright, I feel like this post is really chaotic, haha, sorry.

Facts about Erika

I decided to go and try write down facts that we know about Erika - enjoy!

She's about 22-24 years old.

She likes to cook, just like her father.

She's good at drawing (optional).

She comes from a very populated city.

She's pretty curious and has a firm sense of morality.

It's been said that she's very beautiful.

She's a rather good person, she knows she isn't perfect - but she tries her best.

She likes to take long walks.

She didn't particularly like major she was studying, but she was doing it so she could take over family business.

Her father is a businessman.

Her grandfather died of a heart attack.

She knows Harry Potter.

She doesn't have any siblings.

She knows savoir vivre.

She always did what her father wanted.

She has a brown thumb.

Her father is rather strict.

Her father loves animals.

Her mother is allergic to cats/cat fur.

Her parents adopted a young, stray cat and named it Jelly.

Her grandparents (Lucien/Lucio and Paulette/Paula) live on countryside. She used to visit them a lot when she was a child, but they had a fight with Erika's parents - she hasn't talked to them since then.

She likes action & adventure movies.

She's 1,65 m tall,

She used to date blonde surfer with tattoos. A lot of players think that he might be Dake (from My Candy Love).

On Earth, she was friends with Alice, Ben, Elsa and her new neighbour Arthur.

She used to watch a lot of survival programs on television - her uncle forced her to do it.

She knows how to read constellations.

Before entering Eldarya, she has never been in love.

Her uncle loves sports.

She hates being lied to.

She doesn't like/approve killing people.

She's a quick learner.

She's similiar to one of her great-grandmas.

She has blood group type 0-, it's a universal blood donor type.

She smells like liliac and lavender.

Episode 5 | Eldarya

Well, I have to say my favourite illu is with Lance. It’s just so beautiful and somewhat emotional, from the other hand, I really liked Mathieu’s one too, it was just so funny. But it doesn’t change anything, I’m still not a fan of these two. Erika’s still a dumbass and being  profligate (my poor maana), but at least this time she defented the team. Nevra literally fought with Leiftan, which is so annoying, like, isn’t he 32 years old? Can’t he act like a adult? He forgave Lance (who killed his bestie) and got over Erika, but still can’t get past Leiftan’s mistakes? Man, grow up. Leiftan’s just being Leiftan, what can I say? And Lance, well, his emotional dialogues didn’t really affect me. I don’t really care how sorry he is, he still killed Valkyon. Honestly, if he didn’t kill him (and wasn’t so agressive in episode 26) I would forgave him and probably grow to like him, in the end, I did forgive Leiftan. Next thing, Erika thought that she wouldn’t be suprised if Miiko’s feelings for Lance were mutual, and actually, in my server/in the languange that I played it was never said that Lance didn’t like her back. It was said, that she never got the courage to told him the truth. Anyway, the king - Tenjin - Koori’s ex is an asshole. I’m kind of suprised that Koori didn’t see through him before, like, I get she loved him and he manipulated her, but c’mon, you’re telling me that she was totally oblivious when it comes to him? Again, Tenjin said something like how ridiculous it is, that Nevra is Lance’s boss when dragons are way more powerful - which give me clear message that he sees people for their power/status, not who their are. It is interesting and I’m curious if he’s going to be a villian with no backstory or he will have his reasons? Oh, and this episode didn’t help me to like Koori, I still feel a bit disgusted after episode, but whatever. I also don’t enjoy this Mathieu-Koori thing? It’s odd and annoying. I almost feel like Beemoov wanted to make us feel that he’s so unique and special that every feary wants to date him, but, um, no. He’s just a human. Literally. The last (for now, I think I told everything I wanted, but if not, I will just edit the post), Tenjin said about Huang Hua being exile - which would make totally sense to me! Remeber how Erika asked her about her being a Pheonix and she didn’t wanted to answer that? I feel like she chose to be H.G’s new boss (I’m not going to call her a leader, forget it) instead of being a Pheonix, so she refused her duties. That’s why fenghuangs banished her.
