Here I am with summoning headcanons for the first ghouls told through Chain (my beloved). I'm pretty happy about this one, actually !
"Why d'you wear it ?"
Chain blinks slowly, lazily turning their head to look at Phantom, sprawled on the worn rug next to them.
The new kid is cute, they decide, a bit of a lightweight, so they stopped smoking a while ago. His cheeks are flushed purple, big stary eyes glazed over, a sweet little smile never leaving his lips.
Chain almost forgets they were asked a question, until Phantom tugs a bit more insistantly on the heavy chain looped around their waist. They hum.
"'s a lucky charm, stickbug."
Phantom tilts his head with a confused noise, wiggling closer until he can rest his head on Chain's chest. The water ghoul runs fingers adorned with bone tattoos on the skin of the young quint's arm, raising goosebumps in their wake.
"Y'know I was the first water ghoul summoned after the mess Nihil's ghouls were, right ?"
Phantom nods, tail swaying lightly.
"Well," Chain hums, "back then, summonings were messy. And now, with how much damage Nihil's ghouls had done, the Clergy was afraid. Everytime they summoned a ghoul, they found new reasons to be afraid."
Phantom shifts, reaching up to follow the glowing stripes under Chain's jaw with the tip of his fingers.
"Like what ?"
Chain sighs, thinking back to their very first pack.
"Most of them were ancient, powerful ghouls. 'Mega was the first...I mean, you've seen him. He's big. Sure, Earth and Air are taller, but there's that thing 'bout 'Mega, y'know ? Some kind of...aura or shit. Maybe it's the quintessence, dunno. Anyway, he spooked them real good, and Alpha didn't make it better."
Phantom wrinkles his nose.
"Uh oh. Alpha's spookier than Omega."
Chain can't help snorting at that.
"He's got a shit temper and an ego the size of a planet. Fought Omega the second he slid of the altar. Got messy real quick - that's were he got the scars on his cheek and on his stomach, and 'Mega has matching ones on his thigh, burn marks on his ribs too."
With a little gasp, Phantom pushes himself up on his elbows.
"Really ? But they're....really close."
Phantom's surprise is understandable. Omega and Alpha are pratically joined at the hips now, evolving around each other with an ease speaking of intimacy. Chain hums.
"Well, yeah. Suprisingly, once Omega made Alpha eat shit, it didn't take long for them to get along. I guess they just had a rocky start."
"Understatement."
That sets Chain off, somehow, and it takes a long while before they can speak again without being interrupted by their own giggles.
"And after that, Air and Earth were summoned. You've seen them. Fucking trees, the both of them. Looming above everyone. Air traumatized the poor summoners by screeching so loudly he made some eardrums burst. And Earth, well. Spat out blood and guts everywhere - not his fault they summoned him right after a successful hunt."
Rolling on top of them, Phantom pushes his forehead against Chain's, pawing at their shoulders absent-mindedly.
"And you ?"
Closing their eyes, they can still picture it perfectly. The dim candle-lit room, the smell of incens and fear, the anxious whispers, the rough stone of the altar under their naked skin. And that familiar clinking sound.
"Well, I was the last of Primo's original ghouls to be summoned. And by that point, the Clergy was rightfully pissing their pants. So, the second I crawled out of the pit, they threatened to chain me if I showed any sign of agression. I guess they didn't expect for me to find their shiny chain really cool."
Phantom blinks at them in disblief.
"You...thought the chain looked cool."
Shrugging, Chain ruffles the quint's hair with a huff.
"Y'sound awfully judgmental. Yes, I thought it looked cool. Hopped off the altar, took it from them, sniffed it a few time and decided it was mine. Been wearing it ever since - and got my name out of it."
They stare at each other for a second before dissolving in another fit of giggles. It feels good, Chain decides, spending time with the newer ghouls, telling them stories of before they were summoned and watching their incredulous reaction.
"You," Phantom pants in between chuckles, "are the least serious ghoul I've ever met."
"Part of my charm."
Phantom laughs again, and Chain doesn't realize they're purring until the quint joins in.
#first time writting chain as an active character woooo#I love them very much they are so unserious#phantom will have to process all those informations now#also mmmmh earth crawling out of the pit covered in blood why is that kinda hot#chain ghoul#phantom ghoul#omega ghoul#alpha ghoul#air ghoul#earth ghoul#nameless ghouls#the band ghost

I'm gonna give Fernsong a half hearted defense because I kinda like him despite the controversy surrounding him.
I think the fact that he was a queen in Ivypool's place isn't seen as as big a deal as it actually is. He didn't volunteer to do the bare minimum and spend *some* time with his kids, he took on the role of the stay at home parent in a society where it's essentially unheard of for toms to take on that role and a few generations ago it was completely normal for toms to not even be involved in parenting. Even if that latter point is disregarded as an element of canon that was abandoned by the second arc as the series found its footing, he still took on a role that is essentially never taken on by toms.
This isn't equivalent to a man in the modern day being a stay at home dad because that isn't a completely unheard of thing now, it's more roughly equivalent to a family in the 1950s US where the mom's the breadwinner and the dad's the stay at home parent because they want to be (only very roughly equivalent because of obvious factors like the fact that it was harder for women to make good money back then, I'm not saying that the two scenarios are completely equivalent I'm saying that in both clan society and in the 1950s US it is completely unheard of for the man to be the stay at home parent and the woman to be the breadwinner even if that's what they both want and would be most fulfilled by/suited for.) It was genuinely cool of him to casually suggest something that is completely unorthodox in his society for his wife's comfort, and the fact that he did that makes him a more interesting character in my opinion.
I've seen some people suggest that he didn't end up being the queen/stay at home parent in the relationship like he said he would because it's not shown in the text. It not being shown in the text doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't happen, especially considering that he's a background character and the family of POV characters tend to not be handled very well in the modern arcs, but also I'm pretty sure that it was shown in Spotfur's Rebellion. I can't find a PDF of it, but I did find this on the Warrior's Wiki.
I can see why some people are upset that Ivypool settled down with him, but I think that it's nice that she gets to rest and have some peace. I'm kind of a sucker for girl with a traumatic past and mental and physical scars from it x guy who wants to give her a better life and support her through her healing process though.
#warriors#warrior cats#ivypool#fernsong#ivyfern#fernivy#currently going down a mental rabbithole where I thought about the fact that my favorite ship with that dynamic is Seymour x Audrey#and now I'm thinking about what if there was a scenario where Fernsong was aged up a bit and killed Hawkfrost

Shinichiro, stay away from the kids!
(with love)
Okay, first of all, this is not a hating Shinichiro post. I swear it. This is just me having brainrot and thinking in how many times Shin was a questionable example for kids and teens around him and how we seem to forget about it but it's kinda hilarious when you put all of them together (except for Sanzu, that is never funny, my poor lil gremlin 😭)
I know most of this things were because he was also too young, oblivious and reckless. I know that, but it's funny to bully him with affection anyway 🙈
(and in the more serious ones, he was too dissociated and too out of everything, I know that too)
So... Here I go, random Shinichiro moments for all of you!
(big manga spoilers because it's Shinichiro)
Leaving Inupi to look out the shop.
Inupi, who looks like a cute potato here and it's deffinetly too young for it. Canon unpayed intern Inupi, yuhuuu! 💜
Him smoking around bikes all the damn time.
In his shop where Inupi was and could blow out the whole block. But also in his garage, where Draken and Mikey used to watch him fix the bikes. Shin, don't, that's dangerous! (I would say "if you wanna kill yourself do it but don't drag others with you", buuuuuut... Yeah, he did it and everyone got drag on that, so why bother to say it? 😑)
Wharever the fuck this was.
Probably just a prank, but.. Really, Shin? You ran away and left Izana there? I know, I know, you're a dumb teen, but c'mon, think for once! The whole interaction makes me laugh and want to smack Shinichiro in general, to be honest.
Oh...I think the not-so-funny ones are about to start. Here we go!
Leaving the Black Dragons to the traumatized orphan that just went out of juvie.
Yeah, that looks like a great idea, I'm sure nothing wrong will come out of this, lalalalalalala! (Shinichiro and his relationship with delinquency and his siblings should be a lot more explored because holy shit)
(Btw, not even pointing the helmets stuff, nops)
Bringing 8 y/o Mikey to gang meetings.
Like... What the fuck? I'm with Takeomi on this one, are you stupid Shinichiro? What are you thinking? Are you thinking? 😒
Love how BenWaka bully him for it too, that's why I left it here, ngl.
Isn't that just how Haruchiyo is, slashing people for Mikey?
Well, yeah, he is, but he wasn't! He shouldn't! Can't you not pretend this is not concerning for a second? Or... Not settle this mindset on Sanzu because it's gonna have big consequences? 🤦🏻
Talking about his inminent suicide with a 13 y/o.
Okay, I thought A LOT about putting this one, because obviously I'm not judging Shin at all, he was in a really dark place and when you're about to kill yourself you can't think clearly. It's just that this exchange... Breaks me. And Haruchiyo is just a kid, this is so not fair for him either 😭
(Sanos, start treating the Akashis like people with feelings that also matter for once, please)
You can still be his friend even if he scarred you for life!
Okay, Shin, I know you're a mix of biased and dissociated but... Really? Please, stop creating Sanzu, stop iiiiit! Let Haruchiyo alone, don't do this! Also... "Right now"? So you're saying he should forgive Mikey but not right now? Is that, Shincihiro? 😒
Trauma dumping to 13 y/o Haruchiyo. Shhh, keep the secret, bye!
Did I say Shinichiro created Sanzu? Yes? I'll say it again, I don't care. Again, I know he was dissociating and all, but, but... It's fine to kill people for Mikey mindset is now installed successfully on Haruchiyo's brain, yuhuuu! 😭
The amount of total disregard for Haruchiyo's mental health here is too much and should be a crime. The "keep the secret" part don't make it better. Specially, specially, when Shinichiro himself is not going to keep it, he's about to say everything to Wakasa. But Haru? Shhh, you should keep the secret, I'm sure this is not a huge burden for a teenager that suddenly have two set of memories!
(Well, not everything, he probably forgot to tell Waka about Haruchiyo remembering it, because in the final battle it didn't look like Sanzu ever talked about it with Wakasa and I wanna think they would if he knew... Look, another Sano forgetting about Sanzu, yuhu! 😑)
(Shin, with all my love, but I hate you for this one even if you gave me the best blorbo to torture on my fics that I ever had)
I'm sure you'll be able to handle it, random kid that I don't even know the name! 👀
YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS ONE SHINICHIRO! I wish you remembered in the final timeline because you owe Takemitchy the biggest freaking apology of all your life! What the hell? Go, apologize with Michi now!
Yes, he was able to handle it and to be traumatized infinite times in the way, but that's not the point! Use you brain for once Shin, why are you giving the burden to a kid? Why? What is wrong with you? (so many things actually xD)
But, for real, this sentence is Wakui being hilarious because c'mon, poor Takemichi!
Edit: I didn't put the poorly way Shinichiro handled everything about Izana and Mikey because I consider canon doesn't give us enough info on that. Same with Emma. What happened? Why Izana never met them? I have my hc, of course, but we don't know for sure. So... I can't ramble about how badly he managed that! (Badly, for sure, I just don't know exactly how and how much)
#well it started with me making fun of shin and ended with rambling ablout tl0 and not being that funny#what can I say?#shin i still love you but please go to theraphy before talking with more kids#and apologize to michi#tokyo revengers#tokyo revengers spoilers#sanzu haruchiyo#sano shinichiro#hanagaki takemichi#original timeline

Day 4 - Darkest Night
Pairings: David Friedman x His Loathing For Humanity
Summary: In where David unknowingly sets in motion something that will haunt him for the rest of his life.
Tag(s)/Warning(s): Heavily implied child abuse (of all kinds), domestic violence aftermath, non-graphic murder scene, physical scars, implied self-harm, angst, nothing happy bout this one folks.
A/N: You want dark well here is dark : ). This one is heavy folks so mind the tags! Also it's Daddy Dave day 😏😏 unfortunately I've only given him despair, but dont worry, he'll get a happy ending in future fics (if you know what i mean 🤭🤭🤭)
David had seen his fair share of fucked up shit in his almost 10 years of service with the NOPD. Gang murders, sexual assaults, domestic violence that ended up in murder suicides, the list went on and on. And as it went on and on, his trust, and confidence in the human race plummeted as well.
He didn't understand how people could do such horrible shit to each other. To flesh and bone like themselves, and it was something he couldn't help ponder each night, when he had to nurse a glass of something strong to try and forget.
Humans were a fucked up bunch.
He came to that conclusion early on, but tonight, was probably one of the darkest nights of his career, and he knew it would stick with him for the rest of his life.
"Whaddya got?" David asked, as he approached a younger officer who turned to look at him with a mixture of surprise and confusion.
"You're not supposed to be here are you Friedman? I thought you got promoted? What you doing out here with us rookies?"
"Yeah, yeah. Well, was already in the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights," he answered sarcastically. "So thought I come by. Now whaddya got?"
The young man hesitated for a moment, before figuring there was no harm in telling him what was going on.
"Neighbors heard some yelling from the house right there," he started, pointing at a family house that definitely belonged to someone that had a bit of money.
It wasn't some mansion you'd see in the Garden District, but it wasn't a house you'd find in the Ninth Ward either.
"Any idea who the folks are?" David asked.
"Not anything concrete. From what I heard, some congressman or something? Not real sure though," the man continued, as he flipped through a few pages in his notepad. "Apparently, it's a normal thing for them, but sounds like the neighbor heard some gunshots and got real concerned. I think there's supposed to be a kid living there too."
"Christ," David grimaced clicking his tongue at the additional information.
Out of all the cases he had to work, those with kids involved were the worst types. Those were the ones that stuck with you the most, because you had some young kid with a full life ahead of them, either ending up dead, or with the kid probably traumatized for a very long time. Thankfully, he hadn't often been on scenes were that was the case, but it seemed like it was just his luck that he stumbled upon one tonight.
"You alright Friedman?"
"Yeah yeah, is that all we know?"
"Yep. So you coming in or…?"
"Don't got a choice now that I'm here do I Benoit?"
The younger man shrugged.
"Up to you."
The hell it was.
When they made it up the porch steps and to the door, they knocked a few times. Announcing that it was the police, and they were here for a welfare check, along with coming because of repeated noise complaints.
After knocking three more times and not hearing a response, David tried the doorknob, checking to see if it was unlocked by chance. And lo and behold, when he twisted it, it gave, and he pushed the door open to the sight of a dark hallway that looked down all the way to what seemed to be the living room, which seemed to be illuminated.
"Hello anyone home?"
There was no response to the call, and both men looked at each other as they passed a silent message to one another.
David entered the house first, followed by Benoit, both of them with their guns drawn, ready in case something popped out on them as they made their way down the hallway.
"Hello? NOPD. If someone's in here let us know!" Benoit called out, giving anyone in the seemingly empty house another warning, yet the response he received was silence.
Closing in on the living room, they both began to notice what appeared to be evidence of an altercation. A broken vase, a chair flipped over, household items strewn around leading past the archway of the living room.
It was literally a trail leading them into the room, and they followed, apprehensive about what they were going to find and in what condition.
Glass crunched under their shoes as they stepped on shattered pieces of porcelain from the vase, and glass from a broken picture frame. Crossing the threshold into the room, there was an even bigger mess that greeted their sights. From a TV on the ground, a coffee table turned over, and some bookshelves laying on the floor. David could only imagine what he was about to see as they walked into the room, unfortunately finding what they didn't want to find.
"Ah fuck," David sighed, his shoulders sagging as he shook his head at the messy scene. Pulling the walkie talkie that was clipped on the side of hip, he extended the antenna, and tuned in to the right channel before speaking. "Unit 340 here, we're gonna need medical and CSI at over at 6403 Colbert in Lakeview. We got one deceased, female approximately 30s in a possible homicide. Also, a potentially missing child."
"10-4, will send someone, over." The dispatch responded before static took over the transmission and he turned it off.
"Benoit, I'mma look around some more to see if the kid's still here," David informed his temporary partner who nodded. "See if you can find anything else. Weapon or something."
"You got it Dave, give me holler if you need me."
Giving him a curt nod in response, David left the room, venturing further into the house to find any sign of life that might be left. Going further down the hall that was on the right side of the living room, he climbed up the stairs that led him to a row of three rooms side by side. He stopped at the first room that had its door cracked open enough that he could see that it was a bedroom.
Carefully, he pushed the door open even more, and it was evident that it was the room of someone older. Probably the parents.
"Anybody in there?"
There was silence as he walked in to observe the room. Unlike the hallway and the living room, everything was put together. Nothing was out of place, except the comforter from the unmade bed, but that wasn't really of any interest at the moment. He continued to pace around the room, even opening the closets to see if there was anyone hiding.
Nope. Empty. Just like the en suite bathroom, and just like under the bed.
Getting up from the ground, he let out a soft grunt, brushing himself off before he exited the master bedroom and moved on to the next room. Once more he called out again.
"NOPD, if someone's in there let me know."
He waited for a few moments for someone to answer, before he pushed the door open with the tip of his shoe.
This room clearly belonged to the kid, seeing as there were stuffed animals on the bed, and a few on the floor. Near the window was a small desk, that from the moonlight coming in the room, illuminating the area, he could see coloring pencils and markers strewn all over it.
The walls were also plastered with childlike scribbles that he didn't examine too closely, and posters from Saturday morning cartoons it seemed.
Just a normal kid's room.
"Hello? Anyone there?" David asked again. "I'm here to help, if you're in here." Not expecting an answer or to find anyone.
Yet again he was met with silence, and it made his heart drop a little at the lack of response. He was so hoping the kid was alright. Letting out a small noise of disappointment, he started to make his way out of the room, resigned to the fact the kid was probably taken by their father, or worse. He could hope they were with a friend or something on a playdate, and they weren't here when it happened, but that was rarely the case.
Though, the pessimistic thought that crossed his mind, immediately turned less so, when he heard a little voice behind him that had him whipping back around to look in the room.
"H-hello?" It was so timid, yet he could hear how the voice wavered with uncertainty as they spoke.
"H-Hey I hear you kid," David responded, stepping back in the room and frantically searching to find the source of the voice. "You're safe, you can come out."
He was met with silence once again, as he began to approach the closet where he thought the voice to be coming from.
Just as he reached it, the kid spoke again, this time the voice much clearer, and much closer.
"Is he gone?"
They were definitely hiding in the closet.
"Are you talking about your dad?" David answered, trying his best to keep his voice even, and paying attention to what he said so as not to alert them that something was wrong. "Yeah he's gone, everything's alright now. Y'alls neighbor just wanted to check in on y'all."
There was no response.
"I'm bout to open the door alright? I'm not gonna do nothin' to hurt you okay ?" David explained calmly as he placed one hand on the door knob to the closet, and the other stayed on his gun in case the man was holding his own child hostage.
He blanched at that hoping to god that wasn't the case.
Taking a deep breathe, he turned the knob, cracking the door open just a bit before opening it completely into a dark space.
It was extremely dim, and he had to squint, before he saw the shape of a small human sitting in the corner of the closet hidden behind some clothes. Allowing himself a sigh of relief, David let go of his gun and instead grabbed his flash light, turning it on and pointing it at the little figure in the back.
The little girl, who he could see clearly now squinted at him before covering her face to try and block out the light. It was then, he noticed that the back of her hands were littered with circular scars that were discolored. Some newer than others, and he could only frown as he pointed the light away from her so he wasn't blinding her with it.
That seemed to work, as she put her hands down yet she continued to stare at him with such intensity that it made him uncomfortable for some reason.
"Hey there sweetheart come here. It's okay I'm not gonna hurt you," he explained as calmly as possible, even going as far as to put on a wry smile for the girl so that maybe she trusted him more. "Come on, I'm here to help, you're safe everything's alright."
Still, she stared at him silently with those piercing eyes. Eyes that looked into him even though when he looked at hers they seemed absolutely empty. She couldn't have been more than eight years old, yet her eyes were completely devoid of life even if she was physically alive.
Those eyes, they were going to haunt David.
He continued to try and coax her out some more. And during that he learned her name was [Y/n].
"That's a pretty name [Y/n]. Your parents did a good job at naming you," he praised. That was the only time she smiled at him for the rest of the evening.
It took him a few more minutes of coaxing her before she was receptive to him. And a little longer of him just chatting with her, before she seemingly finally trusted him enough to crawl out from her hiding space in the closet. The first thing he noticed when she came closer was a fading bruise around her neck.
And he knew already what this was going to be about. Or so he thought.
Fury burned bright and hot in David's chest at the sight, and he wanted to find the fucker who would do this to his own child. How could anyone hurt a child like this? Not only that, he had left her parentless. For what? He was so angry, yet he couldn't let the girl see that.
'Be calm Friedman she's your first priority make sure she's alright first.'
Right, he had a job to do.
"That's it I got you baby girl," he cooed gently, shaking off the rage that grew in his heart as she finally emerged from the closet. Wrapping her in his arms and picking her up from the floor, he brought her close to him as her tiny arms reached to wrap around the back of his neck. "Come on, let's get you outside alright?"
He'd barely finished his sentence before the girl looked up at him, her facial expression devoid of any emotion and it sent a shiver down his spine.
"Where's my mom?"
He couldn't just tell her that her mom was lying in a pool of her own blood in the front room, so instead, he tried to make it seem like her mom was busy talking to the other officers. Which in a way wasn't a lie.
Bodies did talk. Dead or alive.
"She's downstairs with some of my partners right now; trying to see where your dad done gone to."
"Is she dead?"
David faltered, freezing in mid stride, and he was glad he wasn't at the staircase, because he would have fallen straight down with her in his arms.
"Daddy said he'd kill her if she tried to take me from him."
[Y/n] stared at him, eyes unblinking, waiting for him to answer her, and he was completely speechless. So caught off guard by her straightforwardness, and by the emptiness that still lingered in her eyes. And her voice, it was so even, almost monotone if it wasn't obscure by the natural cadence of childhood.
"I don't know yet doll," David lied, though he had a feeling she saw through it with ease. "I'll ask my partner, but first let's get you downstairs and checked up on alright?" He asked gently.
She was quiet for a moment, before nodding her assent, and then laying her head on his shoulders, allowing him to bring her downstairs. Once he reached the bottom floor, he walked straight past the front room, shifting her in his arms to avoid letting her see what was going on, as the investigators and medical team seemed to have arrived moments before he came downstairs.
Walking straight out of the house and into the cool December air, he spotted an EMT standing at the ambulance, taking some notes before she looked up at him and noticed the child in his arms.
Immediately her demeanor changed, as she put the clipboard down, walking to them and meeting him halfway.
"Oh, hey there," the young lady spoke as they approached, her demeanor soft and caring as David reached her. "Who'd we got here huh?"
"Names [Y/n]," David answered, as the girl looked at him at the sound of her name and then at the woman who gave her a smile, which she didn't reciprocate.
Still, the lady smiled at her and introduced herself, "well my name is Monica honey and if I can, I like to make sure you're not hurt anywhere. Is that okay?" She asked, patiently waiting for an answer from the little girl.
Looking back at the woman, and then back at David, [Y/n] stayed silent. At first, they thought she was thinking about what she wanted to do, until she looked back at the EMT once more and back at him again.
It then dawned on him what she was doing, and he nodded at her, a soft smile on his lips as he reassured her.
"It's okay [Y/n], Monica knows how to take care of folks real good, she's even studying at Tulane right now cus' she trying to be a nurse, ain't that right?"
"Sure am," the dark haired woman beamed, trying to be as friendly as possible as she tried to disarm the child. "Top of my class to, so I know a thing or two about taking care of folk. Even little ones like you [Y/n]. So how 'bout it darlin?"
They watched as [Y/n] bit the inside of her cheek, her hands tight on David's shirt collar as she contemplated before she finally gave a little nod.
"Okay."
"Thatta girl," David praised as he handed over the young girl to Monica who coddled her, and it seemed that [Y/n] enjoyed that as she cuddled up to the woman.
Smiling, as a bit of relief flowed in him knowing that she was in good hands, he patted [Y/n]'s back. The action caused her to flinch a bit, and both of the adults seemed to notice as a frown immediately replaced their short lived relief.
He was gonna find that piece of shit of a father and make sure he spent the rest of his life locked up.
"Now I'mma go talk to my partner and we're gonna see how your mom is. I'll come back and see you before we go alright [Y/n]?" He asked as the little girl shifted in Monica's arm to look at him.
She nodded at him silently.
"Alright, be good for Ms.Monica," he said, turning around and preparing to go back in the house to see what Benoit had found.
Just as he was about to walk away though he was stopped by her soft voice saying,
"Thank you."
He paused and turned around, to see her waving at him, her face still neutral but her wave enthusiastic. And he couldn't help crack a smile and wave back her.
"You're welcome [Y/n]."
It had been a week after the initial investigation at who he now knew were the [L/n]'s. And as he expected, [Y/n]'s eyes had haunted him indeed.
She was taken away after everything to some family members who agreed to watch over her. Whether or not she ended up in the foster system was to be seen, but he hopped not. She needed help. He could see it from the lack of emotions she showed and from the abuse that probably took place.
Granted he didn't know the extent of that. Not until now.
"You gonna wanna look at this Friedman," Matty Grimes, a fellow detective announced as he stopped by David's desk, dumping a thick manila case folder on his desk.
"Whats is 'it'?" David grunted, sitting up from his reclined position in his chair.
"Your [L/n]'s case." Matty responded, causing David's demeanor to shift immediately as he opened the thick folder. "Looks like them folks had some fucked up shit going on. No surprise tho, politicians always got something going on. But I'mma leave it at that. Good luck. It's one hell of a case to be dealing with during the holidays."
Leave it at that he did, as he left David to look over the crime scene documents in the folder. And there were many as he leafed through it.
There were statements from neighbors, coworkers, families, all of it saying they were happy but something seemed off but they could never figure it out. Crime scene photos, potential leads for where the father was. It was a lot, but none of it phased him, well it did, but not as much as other things he had seen. It was par for the course. That was, until he reached the middle of the folder ,and then, he had to keep himself from getting up and walking away.
He should have known. A bruised neck and scars on her hands that he had found out were from cigarettes being put out on her were the least of the injuries.
A severely bruised back, a history of hospital visits for broken bones, signs of self harm including but not limited to, scratching, hair pulling, and possible self mutilation.
There was also another page that he was hesitant to look at as he put two and two together. From her past injuries to her current ones, it made his stomach twist in uncomfortable knots knowing what might be next. But he had to keep reading. It was his job to make sure he got her justice and to do that he had to know what else had been going on.
Turned the page he did, and he read the behavioral and witness testimony summary. And by the end of it, he had to close the entire folder and walk away from his desk in disgust and distress.
She was only eight.
When David went home that night, he sat at his kitchen table, whiskey in hand as he sobbed quietly to himself.
God, he hated cases that involved children.
A/N: : D, is this lore you may ask? Yes it is. Unhinged [Y/n] is baby girl baby so I think it appropriate that we learn some of her backstory tragic as it maybe 😥

The Coven + Thalia's Relationship w/ Them
Not really sure how I was supposed to set this out either, but I like it.
Also, Rio's low-key made me cry, so I might not touch on this AU for a little while (I definitely will, but in case I don't, you have been warned).
~~~
Agatha Harkness:
When they were younger, Thalia drifted more toward Rio, and Nicholas to Agatha, but once he died, and Rio had to take him to the afterlife, they immediately kind of latched onto the other, to like keep each other afloat/keep both Rio's and Nicky's memory alive (no matter how much it hurts), and grieve together.
In a way, once Agatha and Thalia like 'lost their person', they became a lot more understanding of each other, in a way (I can't really think of a way to explain this properly).
Thalia definitely had nightmares about that day, for a long time, and after a good couple weeks of Agatha going back and forth between both their rooms, she let Thalia sleep in her bed (which was also probably a comfort for her, too).
---
Pretty typical mother-daughter relationship, honestly, up until Agatha finds out about the Darkhold, and essentially becomes a loyal sidekick, on her quest to power/a way to get their old life back, instead of the little girl, whoever secretly looked up to Agatha, her entire life.
Which brings us to the WandaVision and Agatha All Along chapter(s), which will be linked on the navigation page (and here) when they're done, sooo :)
~~~
Rio Vidal/Death:
Thalia is 100% a mamí's girl, and I will die on this hill.
Literally, Thalia's been waving the "Team Rio" flag, since the day she was born; sporting the same doe-eyes her mother fell in love with, back in Salem.
When she was younger, 9 times out of 10, she would only ever settle for Rio, which confused both mother's for a long time; because how could anyone, especially somebody as innocent as a baby, find comfort in Death?
---
This pretty much carried on through the first like half of her childhood.
i.e. Thalia's first word being 'mamí', instead of 'mama' like most other babies (including Nicholas).
Thalia giggling at the voices Rio does, while reading bedtime stories to her and Nicky (and low-key Agatha, as well).
Rio teaching/coaching Thalia (and Nicky) on how to use her/their powers (since Agatha would end up accidently absorbing them, and cause Rio physically cannot be that badly injured) etc.
---
Then Nicky dies, and it's very much an incredibly emotional and traumatic (??) time for all of them.
Thalia instinctually goes to Rio, and because she's still young, doesn't understand why "He won't wake up", which completely tore her heart in two (no matter how black it is).
Rio then takes Thalia up to her room, to try and calm her down, while Agatha has time with Nicky, before they have to go.
She reads Thalia her favourite story 3 times over, because Thalia's cannot get enough (and also cause she has a sinking feeling she should make the most of it/I'm just making shit up about clairvoyance at this point).
---
In the end, they settle on snuggling in Thalia's kid-bed, while Rio sings the lullaby version of "The Ballad of the Witches' Road" (which is a memory they both deeply treasure), over and over, until Thalia falls asleep, and Rio very hesitantly has to pull herself away from the girl, with one final kiss to Thalia's temple (just to the left of the scar over the crook of her eyebrow, from one of their many training sessions, when Thalia wacked herself with a tree-branch).
Which again, brings up to the Agatha All Along chapters, that are linked above :)
~~~
Lilia Calderu:
Lilia's relationship with Thalia would very much be like "the grandmother she (Thalia) never had" (we hate Evanora Harkness, with burning passion, in this house).
When they first meet (in episode 2), Lilia can instantly sense the doubt (of if walking the Witches' Road will actually work), and guilt (that she's been carrying all these years, about not being able to bring back Nicky), radiating off the girl's body.
Very soon after she clocks it, is like- "Alright, that lonely little queer girl is mine; yes, she has a mother already, but I'm willing to back her up if she needs it" (she doesn't, but it's very much appreciated), you know what I mean?
But yeah, that very much radiates throughout the entire show (maybe aside from episode 5, cause there were definitely sides picked during that episode), until episode 7; RIP Queen.
~~~
Jennifer Kale:
Thalia's relationship with Jen is very much the same as Jen's and Agatha's, like they're not really sure if they can trust each other, but it's like an amicable, back-and-forth teasing, type of relationship.
Up until episode 6 (the version of it I'm writing/Thalia's trial), where the remaining members if the cover (lowkey including Agatha + Rio), see a more vulnerable, and kind of broken, side to Thalia (more on that to come).
Then after that, it's very much like "We both lowkey hate each other, but she (works both ways) is actually pretty cool, so we're gonna keep it mellow."
~~~
Alice Wu Gulliver (my girl <3):
Love of my life, Alice Wu Gulliver, was honestly such a breath of fresh-air for Thalia; like the older sister she never had.
'Protection witch' is the name, and protecting Thalia (and lowkey Agatha as well/RIP angel girl) is the game.
Thalia helped her (and Teen, but mostly Alice) pull Mrs Hart out of the mud at the beginning of episode 3, and basically from that point onwards, became best friends.
And then from that point on, Thalia's basically just jumping to Alice's defence a lot, after every little comment.
Especially the "Everything I touch turns to shit" (that part of the episode definitely didn't make me cry), and Thalia goes over to hug her, cause she knows what it's like to feel that way.
Almost always near each other, while walking the road + during trials, as like a "If anything happens to her (works both ways), I'll be the first one there, cause even though we've only known each other for a couple hours/days, she's still my bestie".
Bonus; Kojo is definitely Alice's best bud (it's literally fact that he's prone to face licking, when he can sense that people are upset or anxious), and was sat between her, and Thalia, during the last 10/15 minutes of episode 4, as well.
~~~
Teen/Billy Maximoff:
Eps 1-5 their relationship is very much a brother/sisterly bond.
Like yeah, they'll take the piss out of each other a little bit, but will still kill for each other, if someone even looks at the other (Billy or Thalia) the wrong way.
Then his true identity gets revealed (at the end of Agatha's trial/just before Thalia's trial), and gets a little rocky, but ultimately they still look out for each other (I'm just guessing, as the show's not 100% out yet, iykwim).
Like it's still very much a "I knew you/a version of you, a few years ago, and you reminded me of my brother, so we're chill, just as long as you don't try to (kind of) kill my mom again, otherwise I'll slit your throat, and you best believe I'm telling the truth, cause you know/will find out who my other mom is."
~~~
Mrs Hart/Sharon Davis:
~~~
Last, but not least; this legend.
Near enough the same thing as Thalia and Lilia's relationship, but more like soft; like instead of witchy banter (calling Lilia kooky, and shit), it's very much like typical grandmother/granddaughter bonding.
i.e. Thalia helping Alice and Teen pull her out of the mud at the beginning of episode 3.
Explaining what being a witch is (along with the rest of the group) in episode 3, and shit like that.
She didn't really have much screen-time for me to come up with much else, so RIP Mrs Hart :(
~~~
I'm actually obsessed right now. I haven't slept in the last 24(+1) hours, so if I'm still up, I might start planning out Thalia's trial + Backstory, since I've got some idea as to what it'll be, but it needs some tweaking.
I just cannot get over this one kid in the cinema who went "But he isn't evil!"
We are talking children here! Children don't really know or understand anything about ptsd and trauma (mostly, yet) they just observe! And if a KID between the age of 5 and 10 observes Magnifico and can read between the lines and conclude he isn't evil, what excuse does that leave for haters calling him one?
Now, more analysing cause you've been loving those and I enjoy doing them 🛡⚔️ (I might repeat some points but in a alightly different way)
Every single arguement I've seen haters or anti-Magnifico people make so far was either straight up stupid, ignorant, uneducated, defiant, baseless and or senseless. And then we also have the hardcore Amaya/Asha fans who just go on hating on Magnifico just "because!"
Or those who go "He's the worst villain ever." Yeah, Sherlock, maybe thats because he isn't one? 🤨 Like, seriously, you take Magnifico, compare him to aaaaall the REAL villains like Jafar, Frollo, Scar etc. And you wanna tell me he was anything like them because his trauma forced him to get himself posessed by evil trapped in an evil book and only went bonkers after he was literally posessed? And his sole motivation was to protect and keep safe at all costs ?
And then come the arguements 🫴🏼
"He's vain and narcissistic!"
Because he acknowledges the fact that he's handsome and like's to see himself in mirrors? 🤨
"He didn't grant every single wish! He shouldn't have kept them."
He didn't grant every single wish because of his trauma caused fear/paranoia and kept them for the same exact reason. However, he always meant well.
Yes, I agree that a traumatized person shouldn't be in any leading position, nor should they be in the position of making important decissions. But lets take a look at his motivations and goals again!
His motivations :
- Never have anyone suffer a fate like he did
- Never have people have to see their hopes and dreams get shattered
- Never have his past repeat
Quote - "Everything I do is to make sure that never happens again!"
His goals :
- Protect and keep people safe
- Make sure people live happy, content, free of hardships and strive
Further comparisons
All the other villains when singing - Sing openly about their evil plans, desires etc. showing they're evil!
Magnifico when bursting into song :
"promise as one does, I will protect you at all costs. Keep you safe here in my arms. I will protect you at all costs."
"If you're ever feeling like you're lost, I'll come find you. Man all fronts, there's no ocean I won't swim across to be right by you. And not just once, here and now I swear on my response. I'll remind you-"
"I let you live here for free and I don't even charge you rent. I clean up all your messes and I'm always there when you need to vent. I give and give and give and give, you'd think they'd all be content. And all I really want is just a little respect."
Back to the arguements Anti-Magnifico people make and even more comparisons ⬇️
More for the vain and narcissistic
Gaston - treats everyone like trash and thinks the whole globe spinns around him only. Doesn't care if he walks over dead bodies looking good.
Evil queen - Wants to kill her stepdaughter because she's prettier than her.
Mother gothel - Kidnaps the baby princess, locks her up because the magic hair makes her stay young and pretty, doesn't give a toot that the king and queen are suffering immense heartbreak and guilt. And to keep the princess locked in, gaslights and belittles her.
And then we have Magnifico ✨️
"I'm handsome and I know it." Likes to look at himself in the mirror and is happy and content with his looks. Hurts not one single fly with it. Doesn't put others down.
"He's power hungry!"
Why did he want to keep his power? - Because he was terrified if he would lose it, he wouldn't be able to protect anymore and his past would repeat.
"He threatened everyone and destroyed wishes!"
Again, he was posessed? Do people understand what posessed means? Amaya knew this book would control him! Not him controling the book!
In the end, I don't even care for people who disagree with me. But one thing I just don't get is : Why are some people so out to prove to us Magnifico-defenders that he's evil? Like, are these guys for real? We push forgiveness and love and the other side pushes hate, ignorance, unforgiveness and bitterness. Why does someone feel the need to spread negativity rather than positivity?
I won't stop defending Magnifico 🛡⚔️🩵
Here's a little snippet from a fic I'm working on!!
If there’s one thing Jason has promised himself, it’s that he would not end up like Bruce.
He wouldn’t be an emotionally closed-off bastard, he wouldn’t drag kids into this fucked up family business, and he certainly wouldn’t let Joker get away with traumatizing a kid the same way Joker traumatized him and his family.
He also promised himself not to get attached to any kids, period.
So why, pray tell, is he standing here with an unconscious teenager (God, he’s so small, is he even a teenager? He looks thirteen at most) in his arms. Both of them are covered in a familiar toxic green liquid, and the corners of Jason’s vision are tinged the same color. The kid is only in some sort of high-tech super-suit, possibly even more high-tech than Jason’s helmet or the batmobile, and the kid’s gripping what Jason assumes is the kid’s mask in his hand. Not to mention the bulky ass backpack that is way too big for the kid hanging from his elbow. And god, does the kid look like Dick so much. The kid’s got these freckles covering his cheeks, his skin tanned with barely noticeable scars here and there. It’s obvious he’s not from Gotham. Metropolis, maybe. He’s also got the same shock of white stands in the front of his hair, and Jason’s willing to bet he’s also probably got some bright green eyes behind those closed eyelids as well.
If Jason begins to follow in Bruce’s footsteps when it comes to collecting kids who have the same anger (well, kinda) as him? Well, he’ll let it slide this once. He’s sure Dick will be excited to be a kinda-sorta-maybe uncle.
-
Basically, just all those other Spider-Man gets sent to Gotham EXCEPT I am not planning anything out and it's going to be Tom Holland's Spide-Man, ATSV Miles, Gwen, Pav, margo, and Hobie. I'll probably have Jason punch Miguel at some point tbh
Killing Jaehaera off was completely unnecessary and it would've been better if she was the mother of Aegon III's kids.
I personally would have loved it he had married Jaehaera and Daenaera because I think there's room in the narrative for both girls.
I think the reason George changed it (besides getting invested in the Velaryons as he wrote out the backstory) was because he wanted some sort of commentary on the lasting legacy of the Dance - Aegon usurps his sister and kicks off a whole violent war for the throne, only for his line to end with a mad little girl, and then die off completely. Rhaenyra lets revenge color her actions during the war and adds to the death, misery, and escalation of violence all so her line can descend from her only for the history books to record that they descend from Daemon, and there’s nothing Aegon III can do to change it. In a way, despite everything, the lines of both Rhaenyra and Aegon end with them. This war that claimed the lives of their children, their lovers, their families, was completely fruitless and useless; all that's left at the end is orphans, and history books that will call Aegon and Rhaenyra both usurpers. It's very sad commentary, for sure, but I get why it was so important to George to kill Jaehaera off (to a certain extent). It's just he did it in the most George way possible lmao and it doesn't hit the way I think he intended it to.
But it could have! Which is so frustrating! He could have 100% had them both in the narrative easily - just have Daenaera be a lady of the court and a friend of Jaehaera's! Jaehaera can take in Daenaera as a lady to help smooth things over with that branch of the Velaryons (who are probably still pissed off because Alyn is a bastard and everyone in Westeros hates Baela for doing #HotGirlShit). Jaehaera is mother to Daeron, Baelor, and Daena, and kills herself/is murdered right after Daena is born. I think having a daughter of her own is an interesting trigger for her trauma - like, your husband having the same cursed name as your father who died miserable and alone, with only you for family, and then watching your husband hold your first daughter? More than enough to trigger an episode, and leave it vague as whether she threw herself onto the spikes or someone simply took advantage of her being scared and alone & pushed her.
Maiden’s Day happens and there's a lot of nerves because the last time the King got remarried, the Dance happened. Different circumstances because Aegon has two sons, to be sure, but I'm positive half the realm is thinking "what if he chooses wrong and we get another Otto Hightower." Baela and Rhaena present Aegon’s new bride, then point to the beautiful but quiet, also grieving Daenaera Velaryon, and Aegon just accepts it because he knows Daenaera won’t oppose Jaehaera’s children (they were friends, also Daenaera is now scarred by the violence of Jaehaera’s death). Daenaera is as uninterested in him as he is in her; the twins present a way for him to remarry without forcing him out of his comfort zone (which neither Aegon nor Jaehaera ever liked to be) while backing Daenaera into an offer she can’t refuse. Continuing on the use of traumatized women as pawns, the twins clawing for their own power and relevancy as the Regents, Small Council, and now even Aegon’s sons steal it away from them, a move that is as “girlboss” esque for them as it horrifying for Daenaera. This way, you still get the Blackfyres descending from Jaehaera (and the Greens), you get the Velaryons in there more, you get Maiden's Day and Daenaera.
I think this scenario - where Jaehaera is mother to Daena and the Blackfyres, and Daenaera to the two youngest girls - doesn't make a huge difference in the grand plan, BUT it does make some things more interesting. It adds a really interesting echo from Viserys I and Rhaenyra’s children to Aegon’s - how easily these bonds between half siblings can be turned sour if only their lives are just a bit different. Daena, daughter of Jaehaera, falling to the generational Targaryen curses of dying young, of accidentally kicking off a succession crisis simply because she desired sexual agency. Elaena, daughter of Daenaera, escaping these curses through her politicking, her skill, siding against the nephew she adores and helped raise to try to escape Daena and Jaehaera’s fates. Not to mention having Aegon II’s line end with his daughter, then morph into the usurping Blackfyres is a great narrative choice!
It’s all right there!! The themes!!! It all goes back and back, this family enacting continent destroying violence against each other all for the privilege of sitting on that ugly, spiky chair. But no we get Daenaera the hot six year old instead. SmFh.
#asks#fire and blood critical#grrm critical#jaehaera targaryen#daenaera velaryon#in my mind daenaera is reclusive and pious and a lesbian which is why aegon liked her. doesn't talk preferred jaehaera to him. like.#sure i'll marry the glorified nanny my sisters got me why not. at least she already likes my kids.#naerys turns to the seven because its what daenaera taught her. 'if you need to go away in your mind picture the sept and pray.'
EMERGENCY REQUEST ( ALSO TW FOR SA MENTION I BEG YOU TO NOT READ THIS POST IF NOT IN A GOOD PLACE OF MIND AND THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU! )
So I'm drunk right now, to be honest. So sorry if this comes out a bit weird.
I'm realizing my family is full of r***ist apologists, they had said my first real BF couldn't be blamed for ruining my life as he has a kid, despite him serially abusing me for a year straight from ages 15-16.
Then my other ex, my second long term relationship : He was 34-35 and I was 22. So, yeah, he knew of my trauma and exploited it. Forced me to do sexual actions I was NOT okay with, and threatened me with those.
I'm realizing I was groomed and I wouldn't mind ( would really love ) if I could get a Hitoshi x AFAB reader ( they them pronouns ) who is kind of.. traumatized... before their "intimate" acts. He reassures Them that it is okay, and no matter what he still loves them.
( Points if the act doesn't continue, points if they end up tearing up and he wipes their tears, kisses their cheek and comforts them. Asking them if they truly want to continue, making them feel safe, valued and loved, etc etc )
A/N: I'm truly sorry to hear that you've had to go through such difficult experiences with your family and past relationships. It's disheartening to encounter people who don't recognize the gravity of abuse or trauma. Your experiences should never be diminished or brushed aside. Your feelings and your healing process are valid, and you deserve understanding and empathy
EMERGENCY REQS MASTERLIST
In the dimly lit room, Hitoshi Shinso could sense the palpable tension in the air as he gazed into the eyes of his partner. The shadows of their past haunted them, their trauma casting long, dark shadows across their soul. They, a person of determination, a survivor of their own battles, had never let their past dictate their future. But now, as they lay at the precipice of intimacy, those old wounds resurfaced with a vengeance.
As they began to undress, they couldn't help but feel a suffocating weight on their chest. Every touch, every intimate gesture, seemed to trigger the memories they had tried so hard to bury.
Hitoshi noticed the subtle change in their demeanor, how their breathing became shallow and their hands trembled. He placed his hands on their shoulders, his touch gentle and reassuring, and softly spoke, "Hey, I want you to know something, something I need you to truly understand. Your past doesn't define you. I'm here with you in this moment, and I love you for who you are right now. You can talk to me."
They shifted nervously, averting their gaze, and it was evident that the memories that had once tormented them were still fresh in their mind. "I know you do," they whispered, their voice quivering. "But sometimes… I can't help but feel like I'm not good enough, like I'm too broken." They covered themselves with a blanket, hiding their nakedness and the contours of their breasts from his glance.
Hitoshi cupped their face, gently guiding them to meet his eyes. "You're not broken. You're a work of art, and every scar on your soul is a brushstroke in your masterpiece. I love you for all that you are, even the parts that you may consider broken. Please, understand that."
Their eyes welled up with tears, the emotional floodgates threatening to burst open. Hitoshi wiped away a tear that had escaped, his thumb grazing their cheek ever so gently. He leaned in and planted a tender kiss on their forehead, a symbol of his unwavering love and support. "It's okay to be vulnerable, to be afraid. I have those moments every now and then. We don't have to continue if you're not ready. Your feelings are valid, and I'm here to make sure you feel safe, valued, and loved. I'll willingly wait."
They sniffled, gripping his shirt tightly as though it were an anchor in a stormy sea. "I want to," they whispered, their voice fragile. "But it's just… hard."
Hitoshi's arms wrapped around them in a protective embrace, and he held them close, his heart aching for their pain. "We can take it slow, at your pace. We can stop at any moment. I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not judging you. Your trust means everything to me."
The room was heavy with emotion, but it was a different kind of heaviness now, one born of shared vulnerability and trust. Shinso continued to hold them, allowing them to find their strength. He knew that healing took time, and he was willing to wait as long as it took.
"I love you," he whispered, his words a soothing balm for their wounded heart. "You are so incredibly strong, and I'm honored to be a part of your life." Shinso held them close to his chest, and his steady heartbeat slowly soothed the storm of emtions raging within them.
Their tears flowed freely now, and they looked up at him with a mixture of gratitude and affection. "I love you too, Shinso," they murmured, their voice filled with emotion. "Can we… Can we try some other time? I don't think I'm mentally ready just yet…"
"That's all that matters. Let's take this one step at a time."
They nodded, their trust in him deepening with each passing moment. The darkness of their past may have cast its long shadow, but in the embrace of Shinso's love, they found the strength to face it and, together, emerge into the light of a new beginning.
Okay but- I'm not the same asl+sanji brothers au ask but I'm thinking about this a lot
Like, is said that Sanji run away when they were in the East Blue so, what if be accident the sea makes he go to Goa? Like, Luffy and Makino finds him in the beach, hurt and with a metal thing in his head and Luffy calls Ace and Sabo, and when they see how this boy is they are horrified.
The first weeks are hard, Sanji is always scared and flinchs at everything. Until Sabo mention something about a sea creature or cooking and Sanji is, for the first time, really talking with them and not flinching much.
Some time later, during the night when Luffy is already asleep, the 3 start to talk (more Ace and Sabo since Sanji don't really talk unless 'necessary') and Sanji ends up telling them everything he went through and- both older boys are so mad.
After this, Ace and Sabo start to be more protective of him since, well- their 'little brother' suffered as hell and still is really traumatized.
In this, Sabo don't lose his memory (he still has the scar and meet Dragon, but he ask to go back to his brothers and end up saying something about 'Makino' and Dragon drops him in the place without anyone notice) but has 3 brothers hugging him while the two younger cry their eyes out.
Since Sanji is raised with these 3 feral boys who he started to call brothers, he is more feral than in canon. But I also think he wouldn't be the way he is in canon with women, in truth, probably he would fight one just like Luffy.
In Marineford, Sabo still has his memories and manage to enter and help alongside Sanji and Luffy (I hc that even if Sabo don't go with Dragon he would still be a Revolutionary bc of like, discovering about and liking it). All of them are hurt but if it's to save one of them, is worth it.
(Zosan bonus: when the strawhats first meet Ace, he is always with Luffy and Sanji, and for Zoro who already has a small crush in the cook just make him jealous)
(WCI arc bonus: when everything with the Vinsmokes hapoens, there's no way Ace and Sabo don't go to drag their brother back, because after all the Vinsmokes did to Sanji, they aren't letting him go with them – even if to save his crew)
That's a whole timeline split. Damn. Alright. For Sanji to show up on the beach with the fucking mask??? And no one knowing where he came from having someone have to pick the fucking lock to get it off would traumatise everyone around. He's skittish and jumpy and they quickly learn to tone down the violence. This twirly browed kid who mumbled his name is 'Sanji' and is so quiet even with Makino.
When they mention having to cook that's the first time Sanji starts talking with them. They managed to convince Sanji to cook for them and it's over from them on. Sanji is theirs, dammit! Sabo, Ace, and Luffy are all about protecting Sanji and Sanji is weirded by that and Luffy is fucking rubber so ya know. They're better than his blood brothers that's for sure.
And yeah one night Luffy is asleep so the elder three are talking and at some point Ace asks about the helmet and why Sanji was wearing it when he showed up. Ace has no tact and the look Sabo gives him as Sanji's eyes well with tears that freely fall as he explains he'd been in it for two years in a dungeon in his kingdom. That his father did it to him when he failed to kill him, that his blood brothers would hurt him constantly, that he was the shame of the Germa kingdom and of Vinsmoke Judge. Ace and Sabo are crying too and holding Sanji and claiming him to be their brother and they seal it when Luffy wakes up with a drink.
If Sabo keeps his memories and comes back with Dragon, Luffy's dad who all the boys tilt their heads at because what the fuck but also Sanji and Luffy are crying because Sabo's home! He's home but Sabo explains he talked to Luffy's dad and is going to join the revolutionary army but he'll visit, a lot! So much! And he does! He's there for every birthday and event and stuff. When Ace sets off they're all happy and waving.
Also basically if Sanji isn't raised by Zeff/only by Zeff he's fighting anyone and everyone. Also imagine a Sanji who's still just as good of a cook as he usually is but just as feral. Sabo gave him a bunch of cook books and normal books so like Sanji's got the book smarts for the Strawhats and Luffy's got the emotional intelligence because if they weren't together it would be chaos and truthfully it's probably best that Sanji and Luffy set off together.
In Alabasta everyone is like laughing cuz that's Luffy's brother how cool! Why is he also hanging off Sanji? And Zoro is getting insanely jealous and Sanji, the flaming bisexual that he is like, "oh I'm Luffy's other brother! There's a fourth one of us too but he's with Luffy's dad rn! No need to be so jealous, Moss!"
Marineford shows Luffy, Sabo, and Sanji showing up. Garp is staring at his three grandsons and he's with the fourth one on the execution platform. Sabo, Garp and Ace see Sanji catch his legs on fire with no fruit and it's all. And then when they save Ace and escape with the White Beard fleet.
WCI is going to be a fucking threat if Sabo, Ace, and Luffy are all descending on to Tottoland to get Sanji back. I imagine Koala and Nami are having constant heart palpitations, Brook can't cuz he's dead and he can't even bite his finger nails, cuz, ya know, he's dead.
okay I'm having. More thoughts. About that 'Enji gets isekaied into atla' thing.
So like. Random notes on things. (also I should go back and tag this but not rn)
To keep him from totally uprooting things outright, Enji actually hasn't watched ATLA. He knows some things. Like the basic premises of the show. Bending, the Avatar, the fact that the Fire Nation are the antagonists, etc. But he doesn't know any major plot points so he has to like. Discover on his own what's going on with the Fire Royals instead of just decking Ozai on sight.
Enji at least at first tries explaining that he's not a Spirit. But he's too Weird™ so everyone's like 'uh-huh sure'. Now there is /some/ debate as a few people think he's less of a pure Spirit and more like. A Fire/Sun-Spirit version of what Yue was. Someone very blessed by the Spirits and holds their Life Force even if they seem to be separate beings at the moment(I doubt Yue was the first so it may be legend as a whole). He still gets revered though because clearly the Spirits don't choose just anyone.
Timeline wise: On the bnha side this is barely post-canon!CC(so like after Canon, but haven't really had a lot of time to fix everything). In atla this happens like. Sometime after Book 2 but before the mid-season of Book 3. Aka: When Zuko is back home.
This is like. Kinda gross but it popped into my head and given the cut plotline I could see it but ANYWAY. When Ozai asks Azula to be the one to attend to 'The Spirit', Enji is getting so many red flags because last time some wealthy and powerful asshole sent his daughter to care for his whims in the hopes he'll lend favor, Enji got a wife out of it and Azula is literally a baby. (obvs he doesn't do anything weird but he's like 'wow kinda pissed that you're cool with the idea that I could do something weird')
The only people who realize that Enji isn't a Spirit are Iroh and Aang because they know Spirit Nonsense. As soon as they call him out on it, Enji's just like 'oh thank fuck someone sane!!!'
Enji accidentally calls Zuko 'Shoto' once and they ask about it and he explains that Zuko and Azula remind him of his kids, especially the Zuko=Shoto thing because they have similar scars. Zuko and Azula hesitantly ask 'what did he do to deserve that?' and Enji's like "?????? Nothing???? It wasn't- People don't deserve that what the fuck???? Especially a child doesn't??? I might not have been the /best/ father but holy shit I'd never purposefully cause a horrific and traumatic injury to a child no matter what they did????"(Zuko and Azula are suspiciously quiet and Enji doesn't like that)
What was the point in making Aegon sexually traumatised his brother Aemond ?
Honestly, I think the writers were trying to draw a parallel between Viserys & Daemon and Aegon & Aemond. If you remember there was a line early in S1, when Daemon said he and Viserys visited brothels together when they were the age Rhaenyra was when Daemon took her to the brothel. Viserys would have been the older brother (and in HotD, he's older by a fair amount), Daemon the younger, so this would likely have been initiated by Viserys. I think the show wanted to make a point about Targaryen lack of boundaries between siblings, and about how Aegon's hypersexuality started young. I think the show wanted us to recognize that it's kind of sad that the rite of passage/bonding activity Aegon chooses for his thirteen year old brother is visiting a brothel. Like, these kids grew up with pornographic paintings on the walls and with the expectation that they might marry their own sisters. They're not going to be normal about sex, and I think that's the point.
That said, at the risk of getting yelled at, I think this scene has been overblown just a wee bit in the process of woobifying Aemond. While I'm sure it was uncomfortable for Aemond to visit a brothel at that age, there's no reason to think that a prostitute would actually force sex on a thirteen year old. The sex worker will get paid either way, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to sit there and drink tea with the kid until the time was up. If the situation had been truly traumatic, I don't think Aemond would have related it to Criston with that wry tone. Yes, he looked embarrassed/uncomfortable with the brothel madam, but who wouldn't? It's an awkward situation, and don't get me wrong, it's super inappropriate, but honestly I don't think it was meant to be some super traumatic event that scarred him for life.
Fanfic Writer Interview
@chuuyaspinkmotorcycle16 tagged me (<3) and I almost tagged her wrong here because she has the audacity to use a different username than on Twt.
How many works do you have on AO3?
Nineteen visible, five hidden! Hoping to get a few more in before 2025 pray 4 me.
Your top 5 stories by kudos/likes:
Just gonna do the SKK ones because no one on here follows me for DC Comics or THG.
Post-Coital Miss (4,237 words) Oneshot, M - A (nonexplicit) fic where Dazai is That Dormmate who keeps the rest of the ADA up with his loud sex shenanigans with Chuuya and Atsushi contemplates the merits of taking after his mentor and jumping into the river after being chosen to confront him.
Less Like You (22,909 words) Twoshot, E - My scar sex fic—both of their scars, not just Dazai's. I don't really know how to encapsulate it in a blurb but it's actually not about the sex at all it's all a front for the feelings. So many feelings. (Too many feelings). Transzai because I love Twitter user ardenistired.
Supersonic Boom (67,502) Multichap, T, Complete - High school AU except Chuuya is the dedicated "good girl" student and Dazai is a delinquent "bad boy" truant instead of the other way around because you can pry that iteration of them from my dead, cold hands. Featuring Dazai's dastardly schemes, ultimate badgood romcom wingman Albatross, homeless Chuuya, and illiterate-but-also-smarter-than-the-teachers Dazai.
Places of Worship (8,250 words) Oneshot, E - Praise kink but it's also lowkey trust kink because Dazai enacts a dastardly plan to get Chuuya to break up with him because he realizes he's falling in love with him. Once again the sexytimes are incidental (but also very steamy).
nothing, the wind, the sky (64,790 words) Multichap, M, Ongoing - Started writing this at a lowkey dark time in my life. It's really heavy and honestly I'm not sure I recommend it? It deals with themes of suicidality, CSA, empathy fatigue, suicide survivor (the loved one, not the suicidal person) trauma, financial trauma, human experimentation/medical trauma, trauma bonds, codependent relationships, forced mental health care, and that's just what I can remember. It was originally supposed to be four(?) chapters but it has a plot now that's actually related to the events in BSD.
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! They make me so happy and I want to express my gratitude.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I actually don't usually write angsty endings. There's only one up that's not hidden right now, Deliver Us From Ev—. It's exactly what it says on the tin. A traumatized Dazai with no concept of healthy boundaries and consent manipulates Oda into having sex with him on his 18th birthday. It's non-explicit, non-sexy, lowkey kinda brutal, and I've been told by commenters that it left them genuinely upset and a little disturbed.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Supersonic Boom. It was SO soft and cheesy I didn't know if I was cringing or melting as I wrote it.
Do you write crossovers?
Anyone who thinks they can write a crossover after Magic and Mystery dropped is just kidding themselves. /lhj
(No, I don't haha).
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
No real hate! One nasty comment once, though.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. Porn as a vessel for complicated emotions to the point the porn is the tangential part. Next question.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
OMG Malaika reminded me about the thief website crisis of summer 2024 that was wild. So yes.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
She has a private Twitter account so I don't know if she'd want me sharing it, but a lovely individual translated my The More You Grow series of teen SKK shorts into Russian on Ficbook. Link to the original here and the translation here. <3
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, but I've done trades!
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
The controversial trenchcoat man and the redhead he's definitely not in love with.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Right now, all of them. 🗿🗿🗿
What are your writing strengths?
I wasn't quite sure how to answer this one. I just write by applying what I learned through the osmosis of a childhood of reading books for 4+ hours every day in ways that make the brain termites happy lol there is no craft involved. I went back through some comments on my fics to see if there were any trends and the most common kind things people have said were "I like how you write the SKK relationship dynamic" and "I like your writing style".
What are your writing weaknesses?
Including enough description. I am a very, very dialogue and character-heavy writer because that's the part of writing I enjoy and honestly a lot of the time I forget I even have to set the scene.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I'm not opposed to it but I never feel confident in doing that unless it's a language I know myself. When reading other people's fics, I enjoy it when the writer is doing it on purpose to emphasize the lack of information or confusion their character is garnering from the words, but to be honest I get frustrated sometimes when there's a really emotional conversation going on between two characters and suddenly I can't understand what one of them is saying.
What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Don't laugh. Shenny The Big Bang Theory.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
No ❤️
Angst- Drarry.
~~~♤~~~
That's it- it's the title.
For people who love to read traumatized Harry!!
And for people who don't.... well? Sorry??
Good luck <333
~~~♤~~~
Harry stood abruptly from his seat in the Great Hall.
He had managed to make it so far.
He made it through the fucking train ride. He made it through sitting in that same car he met Remus Lupin in. The same car he had met Ron and Hermione and Neville in.
He managed walking through the gates, watching as now everyone around him could see the thestrals only himself and Luna could see just last year.
He managed the sorting, the fact that there was less than twenty first year students total, each looking even more nervous than the last.
He made it through Slytherins not clapping at all, some looking as terrified as the kids who were put into their house.
He made it through the names, oh Merlin the names, the names of families he now recognized, each sending a jolt through him like lightning.
He made it through McGonagall being the one to stand up and give the speech, through her apologetic smile, scanning over the gaps in tables where students no longer sat.
Through the first half hour of conversations.
Through all of the new faces at the staff table.
Through Hermione checking in on him every few minutes.
Through Ron barely touching his food.
He made it.
But then he made the mistake of looking up.
It was an old habit, he had no idea why he even felt the need to do so now. It was a habit he picked up eight years ago, when he constantly felt the need to check whether the Slytherin was doing anything nefarious.
And there he was.
Blond hair unstyled, half hanging in front of his eyes. His face held a large scar across his cheek now, his hands shaking as they brought the goblet to his lips with difficulty. His wand sat in front of him, close by, something Harry needed to do as well.
Harry stood abruptly, shocking his friends out of their quiet reveries.
"I have to go." He mumbled to nobody in particular, stepping over the bench and making his way to the door.
He had made it so far before he snapped.
And of course it would be those haunted gray eyes that would do it for him.
"Potter." A voice called as he practically tore down the corridor, needing to get away from it all.
He froze.
That voice.
Familiar yet so, so different. Resigned but worried, a hint of fear.
Harry turned on the spot,
"Malfoy." He breathed back.
Merlin what had he done. He couldn't handle this conversation. Couldn't handle the look on Malfoy's face, the way his hands lifted up slowly to show he wasn't actively armed.
Harry knew the action meant little, both of their wands lay upright in the pocket of their robes, both prepared to draw it at moments notice, at a flicker of a shadow.
"Are you alright?" Malfoy asked carefully.
"No." Harry replied. He'd given up lying about it a long time ago. He'd been asked a million times. Nobody ever believed him anyways, they could see it, there wasn't a point in pretending.
The honesty shocked Malfoy, he reeled in surprise for a moment before composing himself, "Is there something you need right now? Something I can help you with?"
He'd heard those words a million times too. Yet somehow...
"Yes." Harry whispered, his resolve hanging by a thread.
His quick answers bubbled to the surface. I need to be alone. I'm fine. I'll be alright. No, I just need time.
None of them came out, Harry's shaking breath was the only sound to break into the tense silence.
"Okay." Malfoy continued his slow approach, his hands still out and visible, "What do you need?"
"Out." The word was a quiet plead, tearing through him before he could stop it.
He wasn't sure it made any sense to Malfoy, hell, it barely made since to himself.
Malfoy seemed to understand.
"Come on." He closed the distance and took Harry's hand, disapparating on the spot.
With a whoosh of air and a dizziness Harry wasn't sure he'd ever get used to, he found himself in a large field.
"What-" Harry started, looking around.
"It's a new safety protocol. All of the prefects were given permission to disapparate to this specific field in case of emergency. This is the only place you can do it to and from Hogwarts and it's incredibly secured."
Harry looked around, he noticed the shimmer then, high above them like a force field, protecting the area from people coming in from the outside.
"That's ridiculous they never added this before." Harry thought out loud. A safety evacuation spot only prefects and teachers can reach? It was perfect.
"It was my idea." Malfoy told him quietly, he shrugged, "Kids shouldn't be forced to either fight or wait to die. There should be a safe zone to bring them to in case something like that ever happened again."
"It's brilliant." Harry turned to look at him, realising with an odd flutter that their hands were still clasped tightly together.
He didn't let go.
Neither did Malfoy.
"Do you need to sit down?" He asked. Harry shook his head,
"No, fresh air is enough. Thank you." He whispered.
They stood in odd silence for a while, their hands held tight, their eyes focused on a random point in the distance, careful not to look at each other.
"Do you think they can see us?" Harry asked quietly. He didn't know why, he'd never wanted to talk about it before, always triggered easily by the mention of them. Draco didn't need to ask who,
"Maybe." He replied thoughtfully, looking up to the sky.
If the conversation bothered him he didn't show it. Harry was surprised he was so calm himself.
He told himself it was just the fresh air and not the steadying pressure of their laced fingers.
"I saw them all when I held the resurrection stone. Everyone I'd lost." He cleared his throat, "I know it sounds stupid but it... it seemed so real."
"It could have been real." Malfoy looked at him now, turning his gaze away from the clouds, "I don't know of anybody who's used the stone before and stuck around to talk about it, maybe you really did see them."
Harry looked up too, "Maybe." He muttered.
He wondered what his parents would think of him now, what they would see in the half life he wandered through. He wondered if they'd have still been proud had they watched the lives it took to keep his safe.
He wondered if they met the others, if Fred had told them what Harry had cost the world.
He hadn't realised he started shaking again until he felt a gentle tug at his arm, Malfoy pulled him into a tight embrace, holding him close.
He relaxed, the pressure making his heartbeat slow and his thoughts focus in on the moment.
"I'm sorry." Malfoy murmured, "I should have asked first... this is what Pansy does sometimes. It-" He hesitated, "It helps me feel like I won't fall apart. Like she's holding me together in a way."
Harry couldn't speak. He nodded numbly, letting the truth of Malfoy's words wash over him.
Malfoy was holding him together.
He didn't break the way he thought he did when they locked eyes. It was an explosion of a dam. It was release.
It was tension he wasn't allowed to acknowledge, emotions he wasn't allowed to feel. Grief he hadn't had time for and respect he shouldn't give.
Malfoy didn't have that look in his eyes, terrified of him breaking down. Malfoy looked at him like he was waiting for it, expecting it, hoping for it. And he looked like he was sure he would be there to pick him up again.
Malfoy held him together, and suddenly Harry was crying. His heart finally letting go of all the pain it carried around. His tears flowed, his hands clutched at the back of Malfoy's robes, grateful to have something secure to hold on to.
And Malfoy let him. He didn't try to reassure him, he didn't tell him to calm down. He let him cry. He let him grieve and grieve and grieve until he was empty.
And the pain was gone.
"It's gonna be okay." Malfoy told him after he'd been silent for a few minutes, "It took me a while too, to get to the point where I let myself feel. But you'll feel better soon, you just can't hold it in all the time."
Harry nodded, letting his comforting words wash over him. His strong hands and kind voice. Malfoy was there to piece him together as many times as he needed to break.
And, oddly enough, it felt right that it was him.
"Thank you." Harry whispered after the silence had stretched again.
"Don't worry about it. I'm here however many times it takes until you're alive again." He cleared his throat, leaning back a little so they met eyes,
"It's never going to be the same, Potter. That's life, that's war. We'll never be the people that we once were, so don't expect yourself to be. You're allowed to have scars now, you're allowed to be a little broken, but you can't mend anything if you won't acknowledge the cracks are even there. I won't judge you for anything that happened when we were younger, or for anything you needed to do to survive. You're here now, that's what matters." He took a deep breath and nodded, "I'm glad you're here, Potter."
Harry smiled weakly at him. The words felt so nice to hear, comforting in their sureness. It wasn't empty promises and vague advice. It was facts. He was never going to be whole again, but that was okay. He could live with okay.
He could allow himself to break, as long as he knew it was Malfoy going to be there to help him pick up the pieces.
"I'm glad you're here too, Malfoy." He whispered.
And he meant it, more than he'd ever meant anything in his life.
In this meadow, in Draco Malfoy's arms, for the first time in his life, he was at peace.
He was home.
Hi! I'm so happy you wanna hear my rambles!!
I'm gonna start with stancy since they kinda started this. When Nancy was first attracted to Steve it was for very superficial reasons. He's hot, rich, popular, he has a cool car and an even cooler attitude. She had been miss perfect forever and Steve was kinda like a start of a rebellion for her. But then barb goes missing and she starts to see Steve's "bad sides" his immaturity, his arrogance, selfishness, the list goes on. All of those things about Steve pushed her towards Jonathan who was the opposite. Jonathan has been the "man" of his house for a while. He's emotionally mature ( as much as a 15-17yr old can be) sensitive, compassionate, everything that Steve wasn't and things he saw as "weakness". Then Steve and Nancy broke up, and both Steve and Jonathan changed.
Then Steve changed, but not necessarily for Nancy or bug but for himself. He realized he has been an asshole and hurt someone he loved, he chose to change and be better for the people around him and himself. And bug was with him through that change, she helped him and supported him. After a couple years he had matured a lot. He's softened and he's open with his feelings. He's brave and continuously throws himself into danger to help the people he loves ( and gets his ass kicked every time). He's goofy, and fun loving, he doesn't care that people may now see him as a loser or a dork, he's happy. He's so openly loving and caring to his new family ( bug, the kids etc). Everything that attracted Nancy to Jonathan Steve now embodies. And with Jonathan having pulled away from Nancy, Nancy finds herself being pulled into Steve's new energy. She doesn't love him ( not in a romantic way at least), but he shows everything that she's missing from Jonathan. She's simply seeking what she's missing, she doesn't mean anything by it. She's confused.
And now for Jonathan and his resentment and regrets. This young man is one co-dependent mother fucker. When he was with bug he had his own dreams and his own plans. Bug had a big part in them for sure, but they were his dreams. Then he gets with Nancy and merged his dreams with hers to be with her. He "gave up" on his dream school to be with Nancy instead of following his own path. He's upset, his life isn't going how he planned, and I'm fairly certain he's depressed at this point in time. He's using the cover of wanting to be close with his family ( it's not exactly a cover, it's true he's traumatized he wants to stay close in case anything happens) as an excuse. He regrets his choice and doesn't know what to do, he's hiding away from any confrontation. Now onto jug, he regrets leaving bug and resents Steve for " taking his place". You have to remember Jonathan isn't really gonna see Steve and bug dating. He's seen them pine for each other sure, maybe a quick hug here and there, but actually dating? Steve and bug kissing, hugging, sharing knowing looks and soft touches? Everything he used to do with her? No he doesn't see any of it till he comes back from California. It makes him upset when he does because he never felt the full sting of losing bug, because he didn't fully lose her. But now she's with someone else and deeply in love.( stug4ever). With Steve, Jonathan sees it as Steve took Jonathan's place. In the kids lives, in bugs life, and Nancy even talks about how much Steve has grown. He expects Nancy to at least take his side but she doesn't. He's suffering the consequences of his own actions. He left bug for Nancy, and now bug has moved on, he hurt bug, who the kids love with all their hearts, now they prefer Steve who has proven himself, he chose to give up on his dreams and now he doesn't get what he wants. He doesn't even know what he wants anymore, all he knows is what he's lost. He wants things to go back to the way they were. He wants bug to love him, he wants the kids to love him, he wants his place in their lives back. Seeing bug seek out Steve when she's hurt, or scared, when she needs someone. It hurts him because he used to be that person. He wants his old life back before everything was sucky and awful.
Thank you for listening to me!! It means a lot, sorry this was so long. Love youuuuuu❤️❤️❤️ mwah
i love ALL of this !!! not going to say much about what youre spot on about, but i will say youre really close to a few plotpoints i have planned for season 4 <3
i also wanna just point out in general that steve and nancy were never able to just be Friends so season 4 kinda showed that awkwardness that im sooooo excited to explore
