I just really want to talk to someone but recently I’ve been really hooked up on Sebek. Like MAD hooked. And your Sebek art(especially recent one, it’s feeding me. I love angst-) it’s JUST so gosh darn godly! Sadly tumblr doesn’t have much Sebek stuff I can find- TvT(do you have any to recommend?). Btw, did you know when you started to like Sebek? Or was it from the beginning?

thank you~! i also love angst (well obviously lol) and sebek doesn’t get nearly as much as i would like. maybe that’ll change with book 7 though. either way, seeing you all suffer provides me with great joy.

there are quite a few nice artists here that i see sometimes, you just gotta stalk the twst sebek and sebek zigvolt tags lol. of course, there’s not nearly as much content of him as other characters.... you’ll see more of him from the japanese fandom. but you’ll have to either look on pixiv or twitter. i usually just throw “セベ“ into the search bar on pixiv. while you could technically do the same on twitter, the search function sucks and the tags barely work. the way i found a bunch of nice artists was by searching sebek, following a couple people who tweet about him A LOT, and they retweet a bunch of nice art for me to see |D

i didn’t think too much of sebek when i first started playing the game. i thought he was pretty, my taste, but that was all. i had really only seen content of the leech twins before i started, and ended up picking azul as my ceremonial robes character because i couldn’t pick between the twins lol. i ended up really liking azul too, so no regrets (even though i STILL don’t have sebek’s ceremonial robes card.....) BUT THEN. i started reading sebek’s vignettes. and every vignette he showed up in. i thought he was sooo funny. and then i started looking into his character and backstory more and... well, here we are lol. sad to find out he was one of the more disliked characters but that’s how it is sometimes. we fans gotta stick together. and slowly convert the rest of them.

This just further fuels the chaotic dynamic of Dick and Jason during a time where Dick was still going through his teenage angst and was absolutely not a benevolent role model LMAO

I mentioned it in this post, but it's just so funny to me to imagine a Jason who grew up with an absolutely WILD Dick Grayson as an older brother, while the younger batkids grew up with a more mellowed out and mature (arguable but when measured against the other kids, he wins by a landslide) Dick Grayson.

Robin!Jason era:

Dick: You wanna go out and get high?

Jason: I can't, I have homework.

Dick, sputtering: HOMEWORK?

I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody
