the narrative is SO mean to merlin in s2 especially. arthur took a possessed cedric as a servant, druids died when merlin sent morgana to them, gaius gets imprisoned and interrogated by aredian bc merlin wanted to do a little fun bit of magic, he falls in love with freya and she dies, he has to lie to arthur so he won't kill his tyrant dad, he has to poison morgana so that camelot won't die, and then merlin has to set kilgarrah free and then he wrecks havoc on camelot... it is unbearable how much the narrative MAKES merlin hide his magic even further

Magnus whooped with sudden delight when the comms worked between the two of them. She bounced happily knowing she didn't have to go back and forth with a datapad. Her huge pedes were heavy on the ground causing the floor to rumble and the fixtures to rattle.

She was highly and easily amused. You could just barely hear someone below them yelling and beating on the ceiling with something. It only made Magnus giggle more. Her jumping halted.

By some odd chance of fate; the frequency worked. Orion sighed in relief, beaming as the smaller femme's voice echoed in his comm.
