Man, I have reached the stage of puppy ownership where I really need someone to tell me everything is going to turn out okay.

Two walks in a row Zaku has been so overstimulated by our normal walk environment on a normal walk that he refused to take food, refused to ever offer eye contact, and was just absolutely keyed on squirrels and ducks that he could not be called off. He sees a critter and all higher brain functions turn off and he's just got Rules of Nature blasting in his head so loudly he can't even remember I exist.

Four months of hard work and good improvement and we're behind where we started. I know it's just a phase and we'll work through it and he'll be a great adult but on our walk this morning I had to sit down on a bench to keep from crying.

i helped an older man figure out the picture printing at the drugstore today. he was printing these beautiful pictures of birds he took during his birdwatching adventures. and he printed some extra for me as thanks!!!
