david teaches rumple and regina how to do secret handshakes. regina will never admit to actually finding it quite amusing--and honestly, neither will rumple

zelena tries to teach herself how to knit and ends up making everyone christmas gifts one year. emma gets a beanie, david gets socks, henry gets a scarf--none of the gifts truly resemble those items though (she tries her best)

belle starts a bookclub and convinces regina to join. regina isn't thrilled about this at first, but ends up looking forward to the weekly meetings at the library

absolutely none of them are straight. (this comes as a huge shock to emma)

snow gets ahold of a tamagotchi and completely loses it when she ultimately fails to keep it alive

happy otgw anniversary everyone <333 this is a long-standing beloved tradition of mine, to rewatch over the garden wall (and usually other YouTube videos/movies/shows as well) and do a little painting for one of my favorite shows as I watch in honor of the season !! I dont know where you people are finding or trusting (!!) places like Chuang or Lausan but come on.

1. pieces using terminology like authoritarianism or totalitarianism should at least give you some skepticism, if not in taking them seriously, then at least in having some understanding of how those terms are positioned geopolitics, eg, western imperialist motives in smearing their enemies who have the most power and ability and organization in fighting back.

2. theyre very purposefully unclear in their exact positions or affiliations. say, their funding for operations - especially when it's not just one guy and clearly they're not asking for viewer/follower support. they may (supposedly) seek collaboration with indigenous and anti-imperialist groups and then turn around and either insinuate or openly call china imperialist. unserious. and then have the gall to say they support a revolutionary global leftism

so many tips for budgeting/being frugal are just twice as hard when you have a disability

"meal plan!" idk if i'll be feeling well enough to cook every day so it's hard to plan for what to eat

"cook in advance!" i can't cook meals for a whole week at once and plus i can't count on that because again idk if ill feel okay to cook at the same time every week

"use cloth napkins and towels!" those need to be washed and folded, i already have trouble doing my laundry

"delivery is expensive, always shop in person!" going to the grocery store can wipe me out for the day.

"base your food shopping on whats on sale that week!" one, allergies are a thing and some people don't have that luxury, two, that's a lot that you have to prep for and that takes energy.

"DIY!" takes time and energy. maybe i could do it by myself but would it be worth all the time i need to take to recover?

i mean none of these are bad ideas or trying to exclude people. most of it is cutting out conveniences. but for disabled people, something that's a convenience for someone can be a necessity to others

One of the things I find very endearing about Wei Wuxian as a protagonist is he's so earnestly appreciative wherever and whenever he sees skill or excellence on display. Even when it's from someone he doesn't particularly get along with, or in a situation where you'd expect him to have other priorities.

He's in middle of rankling Lan Wangji, but he can't help blurting out "Wow!! Great calligraphy!" because he's just so sincerely impressed. He's on a Top Secret Spying Mission but he's like "Wow!! Look at those amazing paintings on the wall! Gotta take a closer look!" He's watching Jin Guangyao's whole Villain Origin Story Flashback Sequence and forming an increasingly negative opinion of him, and he's still like "Wow!! You have to admire his self-control!"

There's this sense of almost wide-eyed innocence about it, like he goes through the world with such a love of beauty and skill wherever he sees it. And yes in the case of LWJ's calligraphy he's gushing over his not-so-secret crush, but it's a consistent trait of his pretty much across the board. He'll give credit wherever it's due, dangit! He gets so excited to see People Being Good at Stuff!
