(In my opinion, Arya cataloging the different species of flower she sees on the Kingsroad & being willing to get dirty picking flowers for Eddard is mostly about her inherent connection to & comfort within nature. Arya paid attention to the flowers, yes, but she also paid attention to the animals & the trees & the mud. She’s the Maiden of the Tree. But Arya's connections to these other parts of nature are rarely emphasized the way her connection to flowers is, because they can't be used to over-state her femininity. It's extremely obvious that's what's happening here & I hate hate hate it.)

“I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to be more Bishop than you, Bishop,” Vic huffs, dropping heavily onto the couch beside Maya.

Maya frowns, watching as their 18-month-old takes another lap around the coffee table, apparently oblivious that Vic isn’t still chasing her. “What do you mean?”

Beatrice squeals as she passes them, avoiding Vic’s reaching fingers with delight. “This child doesn’t get tired,” Vic explains.

But that only makes Maya frown more. “I get tired,” she mumbles.

“I mean,” Vic carries on, ignoring Maya’s words completely, “Does she ever stop moving? Does she sleep?”

They’ve been at Pru’s birthday party for all of three hours, filling every inch of space available on Ben and Miranda’s main floor. Andrea had slipped into the orbit of Joey as soon as they arrived but Beatrice…

Well, she’s been happily passed amongst anyone willing to play at her speed. Which is, as always, fast.

Their daughter is fiercely into the daredevil stretch of her toddlerhood. Half the day is typically spent tossing her into the air or throwing her over a shoulder or chasing her in circles around the room. It’s an important stage of development, Maya knows, their little girl adjusting to the feel of her body as it moves.

“She has FOMO,” Carina laughs, leaning over the back of the couch at Maya’s shoulder.

Vic nods, eyebrows arching with pride at Carina’s correct use of the slang term. “More Bishop than Bishop,” she repeats.

Carina shakes her head, pressing a kiss to Maya’s cheek to soften the blow. “She will sleep when things are still,” Carina tells Vic, scratching gently at Maya’s scalp as she speaks. Touching, always touching, until Maya’s frown lifts.

“Mama,” Beatrice shrieks when she notices her, redirecting her course to collide with Carina’s legs behind the couch. She’s lifted onto Carina’s hip immediately, little arms circling Carina’s neck as she nuzzles in.

And maybe it is a Bishop trait, Maya ponders, that Beatrice doesn’t ever let on that she’s tired. That she never gives in to a clawing need for stillness even when she should be exhausted.

Or maybe she is just a kid who doesn’t want to miss anything that’s happening.

Beatrice settles her head on Carina’s shoulder, those big brown eyes already beginning to droop as Carina sways their bodies back and forth, murmuring to their little girl in quiet Italian.

“Ah,” Vic nods, drawing Maya’s gaze away from the tiniest yawn, “She sleeps for Carina.” She chuckles, rising from the couch, nudging Maya’s arm as she passes. “She’s definitely more Bishop than you.”

alright~ a few updates about everything! so this weekend I'll be seeing changkyun in chicago- so I prolly won't be posting until after I'm alive again from that 😂😅 (I am vv excited about it- I just know I'll be vv tired when I return home). Anyways, I have a few fics in the works~ one of them that is a request 🤭 I'm vv excited to work on them! But I think I'm going to change my masterlist a bit when I come back. I'm going to retire a few groups from the main masterlist and I've been debating for the past year about it... But I think I'm going to add a yearly masterlist- So it would go from most recent to the beginning of this year~

I'm also thinking about changing my pfp- I haven't been really into stray kids for uh... years- But I will be sure to make an update about that if I go thru with that too- (It may be ji changmin next 🫣🤭)

I'm glad it's piqued your interest! There are many pieces to it that I'm still ironing out the details on and/or will not spoil when it comes to actual plot events, but here's what I will say:

The Axolotl feels so much love for Bill, and genuinely believes in him, and at the start of the fic Bill is perplexed and offput by this. And my goal here is for Bill to understand that love by the end of the fic.

So the plot is like this:

1. Bill meets the Axolotl

2. The self-destructive downward spiral angst megavortex kickstarted by bill being brought back in a human body

3. Character growth, probably
