I’m glad about the fact one of my teacher’s was nice enough to cut-us-some-slack, we had to do 24 slides of just literally annotating articles but she said we only had to go up to slide 12. So I appreciate her a lot.

I’m glad I was able to get my work done! I just need to review my math work and I might be good to go. Other than that I think my other finals I’ll pass just fine…..I hope…

Link Character Analysis Pt. 3

Zelda’s new Knight

Link is Appointed Zelda’s personal Knight

- According to Zelda in the Daruk’s Ballad cutscene, Link was only ONE of the possible knights the King had considered protecting Zelda. I’m sure that the King would have assigned him as her personal knight anyway, because of him being the “Knight of Destiny” and all, but I found this line interesting in that Link had basically been put in the corner until he was needed most.

- The Guardian accident was the final straw to make the King officially assign Link as Zelda’s knight. In the Father Daughter memory, the King has made it clear that he wasn’t happy about Zelda spending most of her time learning about the Sheikah technology rather than trying to unlock her power, so it’s likely that after Zelda was almost blasted by the Guardian laser, and Link being the only one to take immediate action, the King likely thought Link would not just be a protector, but someone who could maybe convince his daughter to focus on her power, since Link apparently “did so well”

What Link thinks about the other Champions

Mipha

- Mipha was one of Link’s childhood friends so he likely thinks of her in high regards.

- Link would have seen her at least once more since he was a child sometime between 13-15 years old. Because of this, they may even have a history of training together. This is further proven in Mipha’s diary when her first response to seeing Link’s new technique during the Lynel fight was to ask him about it.

- I unfortunately can’t say a lot about how much Link knows about Mipha’s crush for him, but just by knowing that he went on that “date” with Mipha during the Mipha’s Grace memory, I can see him having some kind of feelings for her, although I don’t think he’d consider it “love”. But *something* must’ve happened there because it’s not until you are given the Zora armor in game that Link is able to remember Mipha. Unfortunately this is the last entry in Mipha’s diary, so we unfortunately don’t know what Link’s response to her proposal was. Or even if there *was* a proposal (I’ll explain more on this thought when I make Mipha’s Analysis).

- Unfortunately, I don’t think Link would have said “yes” to Mipha’s proposal. The reason is: Link has made it clear that his main focus in life is defeating the Calamity. I don’t even think he knows what he’ll do when it’s over. We can’t see his face when Mipha is talking about the “After” of the Calamity, but I’m pretty sure thoughts of the After or marriage have never crossed his mind.

Daruk

- Daruk is one of Link’s best friends! They may not see each other often, but it’s clear that it doesn’t stop them from spending as much time as they can together.

- Daruk is one of the few people Link confides in. Link has already told Daruk about his ability to slow time, but Link also goes to Daruk to talk about his conversation with Zelda. How else would Daruk know that Zelda says “I guess we’re the same, you and I”?

Ravioli Revali

- Revali and Link are definitely not on the best of terms, but that’s mostly from Revali’s side.

- To Link, he probably just sees him for what he is: someone who wants to feel special.

- Link is clearly annoyed by Revali, but he doesn’t get worked up and start a fight, he just lets Revali get all his venting out as Link listens to the elevator music in his mind.

- According to Reddit user DiddyDubs, they point out that Revali is the only one of the Champions to not have a special born power and I think Link notices this as well. I’ll go into more detail on this thought when I make Revali’s analysis though.

- Revali is the only one of the Champions Link doesn’t speak to. Like… at all!

Urbosa

- Although we sadly don’t get many scenes with Link interacting with Urbosa, we can see from Urbosa’s diary that he respects her. He respects her enough to not only speak to her, but to also take her advice about disguising as a girl to get into Garudo Town!

- Link seems to like Urbosa and Zelda’s Mother and daughter like relationship.

- I’ve got a lot more to say, but that’ll have to wait until Urbosa’s analysis.

Zelda (pre Yiga attack)

- Firstly, I just want to point out HOW MUCH PATIENCE THIS MAN HAS! Dealing with Revali is one thing, since they only see each other from time to time, but Link is *assigned* to be Zelda’s knight. He sees her every. Single. Day!

- Also like Revali, Link doesn’t appear to take anything negative Zelda says about him to heart. Whenever she gets into an angsty mood, he lets her angst. Whenever she’s angry and yells at him, he lets her yell (although he looks very confused when she does this).

- Pre Yiga attack, he’s more of a shadow to Zelda. He observes her and her love of research, but their relationship was nothing more than a knight protecting his princess. Until…
