i want a cute lil fic where shuichi have been dating for a while and kokichi sneaks into his house and wakes him up (it’s shuichis first birthday together)
“kokichi?.. what are you doing here- do you know what time it is?”
“do YOU know what time it is shumai !?”
it’s 12 on the dot and kokichi takes him downstairs and he set up a whole sup-rise lil part for him. with relighting candles and everything. and shuichi just starts balling. because…
1. he never really had birthday party’s and never liked having them becausehe didn’t really have people to invite and his parents where just jerks who either forgot his birthday or sent a note, not even a call and it would just bring up hard feelings.
2. and if he did have birthdays it would just be kinda gloomy for him. just having his aunt and sometimes his uncle. he just thought it was kinda a waste and he didn’t want to bother people with telling them his bday.
anyway kokichi invites shuichis friends that came later because obviously kokichi wanted to be the one to get him. (and also got his uncle a day off ??LOLZ)
“are these relighting candles, ouma? do you even know to actually get them off??”
“of course i do!!” (he doesn’t)

So- Danganronpa became a big enough fandom for me that I decided to make a side blog for it! And because…I need a community my dudes
Please do not message me or send me asks pertaining to charities and seeking donations- though I wish those who truly need it help and support, this just isn't a place for it.
ME:
I’m @snickerzanddoodlez, you can call me whatever you’d like! I’ve finished all of the mainline games / seen the End of Hope’s Peak High School anime, and though I haven’t played Ultra Despair Girls I don’t mind spoilers for it!
This little sucker is my channel mascot. Anything ya could ever dream to know about her is in this post
My favorite characters are Teruteru, Gundham, Ryoma, Byakuya, Kaito, Yasuhiro, and Togami! Fuyuhiko, Gonta, Kokichi, and Monokuma are very close behind :) (NOTE: I don’t support all of these characters’ actions! You know who this disclaimer is about, haha! And my affection of said individual doesn’t exactly extend to the End of Hope’s Peak Academy anime…)
I’m a Warrior Cats veteran, so…the things I make might end up being a little weird!
I also sell cute lil’ Danganronpa stickers!
I do commissions, too! Fund my Doll-gonronpa Collection
ASKS:
The ask box is always open for questions, discussion, suggesting incorrect quotes / art / animatics, etc!
By the way! I like to be incredibly needlessly angsty and cringy- so we don’t judge here! I’m still getting a feel for what does and doesn’t fly in this fandom- so give me the best you’ve got! All of your angst and ideas- maybe I’ll draw them!)
Just stay generally SFW (suggestive jokes and the likes are fine!) and keep in mind that I am 16!
RPS:
Currently occupied with a few!

MY SHIPS
Please note! As long as it isn’t incestuous / predatory, I don’t really mind what people ship- these are just my biggies! I’m also a really big fan of weird / unconventional ships, despite the lack of them on this list. Not PRO-ships, let’s get that straight, just ships that make you think about ‘em for a minute…like, “who came up with this??” I dig those.
TRIGGER HAPPY HAVOC:
Ishimaru x Mondo
Makoto x Kiyoko
Byakuya x Genocide Jack (I don’t really care for Toko I just think Byakuya and Genocide Jack are really funny)
Sakura x Aoi
Yasuhiro x Aoi (but as mega siblings. I ship them so hard but it’s so completely platonic I want them to be best friends forever)
Celeste x Hifumi (I’m not active in this ship, nor am I even sure it actually exists I just think they should fix each other)
Leon X Sayaka
GOODBYE DESPAIR:
Gundham x Sonia
Akane x Nekomaru
Fuyuhiko x Peko
Monokuma x Monomi (silly)
Hajime x Nagito (but only Nagito’s one-sided crush on Hajime)
Chiaki x Hajime
Kazuichi x Ibuki
Imposter x Mikan
KILLING HARMONY:
Shuichi x Kaede
Tsumugi x Gonta (in an au or something idk I shipped this before I finished)
Korekiyo x Kirumi (Kokichi is their son) (don’t even ask)
Miu x Keebo (Monotaro is their son)
Kaito x Maki (one of my OTPs for this fandom, honestly)
Shuichi x Kaede
Ryoma x therapy
Kokichi x Himiko
Korekiyo X Angie

Kirumi (obv) and/or kaito for the ask game?
hmhmhm…!!
(under the cut; this got quite long.)
kirumi
favorite thing about them: the utter dedication to making life easier for everybody around her. she acts out of love for others. she always tries to serve what she believes to be the greater good.
least favorite thing about them: sigh. this is a writing issue, but i desperately wish the game didn’t present so many interesting thing about her and then just… never address them. her sense of self-worth is utterly abysmal. she is desperate for love and connection and care. she feels like she needs to be perfect at everything she does or she’ll never be worthy of love. those are very interesting things! and the game never brings them up! even in her graduation event, it’s treated like a good and positive thing that she is choosing to carry on living in subservience to others. just… talk about these issues, please!
(yes, yes, i know about the love hotel event. i do not like the love hotel event and i hate that it’s the closest thing we have to an actual exploration of kirumi’s deep-seated fears and desires.)
favorite line: “no matter the situation, no matter what happens, i am here to serve everyone.”
brotp: i love most platonic kirumi content, but i especially love seeing her as friends with kaede, ryoma, kokichi, miu, and korekiyo.
otp: do i even need to say it? i will anyway. it’s amatojo. they are absolutely everything to me. i have written essays on why they work so well together. i have an ask about rantaro waiting in the inbox, so i’ll link the Big amatojo explanation i wrote when i answer that.
notp: this is going to seem petty, but i dislike seeing her romantically with anyone that’s not rantaro. ^^;; i have no problem with most of these ships conceptually, but i’m happy in my amatojo room. i have… a lot of kirumi ship tags blacklisted.
a random headcanon: i’ve seen kirumi as autistic ever since i first played v3. repetitive tasks like cleaning and fast-paced, involved tasks like cooking are incredible stims. she hates being idle and her maid work really helps with that. she also tends to speak in a monotone and has a somewhat dry sense of humor (though she does still laugh at rantaro’s sillier jokes).
i also think she does embroidery as a hobby in the rare event that she has free time! she likes to add little details to clothes, pillowcases, tablecloths, and things like that. she’s very particular about her aesthetic.
unpopular opinion: holding kirumi haters by their shoulders. kirumi is not boring nor is she a bad character. okay? i agree that her motive was stupid. i agree that the game does not write her very well most of the time. that does not make her a bad character nor does it make her boring, and even if you dislike her, please don’t tell her fans to their faces that she’s the worst part of the game.
a song i associate with them: i have a lot… but i’ll go with “rabbit heart (raise it up)” by florence + the machine.
favorite picture: so… i am not allowed to google kirumi images. i do, however, have some sprites saved to my phone, so i will send my favorite kirumi sprite. she is very happy to have fulfilled your request.
******
kaito
favorite thing about them: he is so, so full of love for the world and the universe. even when he’s being headstrong and stubborn, his priority is always making sure the people around him are safe and that they’re not worrying about him. kaito consistently puts everybody else’s needs in front of his own in a way that’s both endearing and frustrating—please let yourself be cared about, boy!
least favorite thing about them: sigh. i do not like his free time events with shuichi very much. i absolutely adore kaito, but his free time events are… just listening to him talk and not really engaging much or getting much from it. i think that’s an issue with nearly all of shuichi’s free time events, though. i love shuichi a lot, but he does not take a very active role in his free time events the same way kaede and hajime do.
favorite line: the classic “the impossible is possible! all you’ve gotta do is make it so!”
brotp: i like platonic saimota and akamota a lot! kaito will see a protagonist, say “is anyone gonna make best friends with that”, and not wait for an answer. i’ve also seen platonic content of him with tenko that i actually really like! i think they could have a funny sibling dynamic.
otp: sighs deeply. momoharu, my loves. i think about him and maki all the time. they’re so sweet together and good for each other. she keeps his head on straight and reminds him that he doesn’t have to carry the world on his shoulders while he helps her open up and become more confident and learn to love herself… augh. ;-;
notp: …okay. i am going to be crucified for this opinion, but… i really, really don’t like oumota. i understand why people like it and i don’t begrudge them that, but it is not my cup of tea in the slightest.
a random headcanon: i think being fluent in three languages has given kaito VERY eclectic taste in music. he likes to listen to just about any genre, but he has a special fondness for 80s new wave.
unpopular opinion: i genuinely cannot think of any off the top of my head. i suppose that’s a good thing.
a song i associate with them: “if i ever leave this world alive”, flogging molly.
favorite picture: hmm, i have a real fondness for this cg. his expression here is so funny.
(…the cg appears to have not uploaded properly. it’s the chapter 3 one where he’s hugging maki and screaming.)

Message in the Sky (1.2k words, M/M)
For Day 12 of @danganronpashipmonths Saioma month. Inspired by the prompt : Fireworks
Kokichi has been planning this day for almost as long as he's gotten out, and he discovered quite how many fireworks one could by. Especially as he discovered you could spell out letters. The ring was sorted, and now all Kokichi needed was the night...
Or~ Kokichi finally invites Shuichi on a night walk, with fireworks and a wedding ring
Read on Ao3 or below
At first, Kokichi had been adamant about the fireworks all only being in blue and purple (the two of them had a brand, afterall). But after discovering there were a lot less purple and blue fireworks than he expected, Kokichi had eventually agreed to let some others in. Some golds and silvers, maybe a green or two - but not any other colours. He still wanted some theme of colours in his display, even if the control wasn’t there as much. Besides, he was paying a lot for these.
Admittedly, Kokichi had enough money to last him several lifetimes, thanks to signing up for Danganronpa. Shuichi always complained the money felt disingenuous - he hadn’t asked for it after all, whoever he used to be had. But Kokichi thought if they were going to have ruined his life, then he was entitled to all the money they could give him. Especially as they didn’t even offer free therapy, and getting good therapy in the middle of nowhere was surprisingly expensive. And seeing as he and Shuichi had been dating for so long, they’d merged bank accounts - which left them with an even stupider amount.
There were advantages to living in the middle of nowhere, however. People still recognized them from the show, but not nearly as much - and no hardcore fans lived nearby either. Him and Shuichi could live out a relatively mundane life. Most of their community just saw them as the pleasant, if eccentric, gay couple who had moved in. And Shuichi was happy to keep it that way (personally, Kokichi wanted recognition for them both as being the best people alive). It also meant there was almost no light pollution, so the sky was always clear and beautiful.
Whenever Kaito and Maki came to visit, the luminary of the stars wouldn’t shut up about their skies, and how beautiful they were. Admittedly they were rather incredible, but Kokichi never liked standing outside and staring upwards. He did enjoy it when Shuichi dragged him out on dates to look at the stars though. He would always get Kokichi blankets, and hot chocolate, and they would lie on the grass together as Shuichi pointed out constellations as Kokichi called him a nerd.
But Kokichi had been thinking a lot about the sky lately. Well, a lot about other things… and just how perfect the sky would be for that. So he had arranged a fireworks show in a nearby field. Well, a thirty minute walk away field - he didn’t want to keep everyone up. That kind of reputation wouldn’t work very well for him. All of the meticulous planning had led to him and Shuichi driving in the night to their walk, while Kokichi’s fireworks expert waited for them.
Parking, Shuichi slowly stopped the engine and turned off the front lights, smiling at Kokichi, “Thanks for thinking of this night ‘Kichi.”
“I am an evil genius after all,” Kokichi grinned back, “It’s only natural I have the best ideas.”
“Because evil plans and date nights have so much in common?” Shuichi shot back, getting out of the car and going to the back, starting to pull out their coats. Kokichi quickly hopped out as well, following along, “Honestly Shuichi - I’m already warm!”
Ignoring him, Shuichi continued to reach into the boot - pulling out their gloves. Undeterred, Kokichi moved slightly closer and clung to Shuichi, “What if I told you this date was the key to my world domination?”
“Haven’t you already achieved your world domination?” Shuichi’s tone was teasing as he pulled on his coat, a dark blue one, on the lighter side. Kokichi had gotten it after he saw it in the window of a shop - it looked rather like the ones detectives used to wear, and he thought it would suit his beloved. Glad that Shuichi was still listening, Kokichi played along, “I still need to annex Australia, silly!”
“Of course,” Shuichi held out the coat, “Here, put this on.”
Kokichi pouted, “But I look nice like this! Besides, supreme leaders don’t get cold.”
“For me?” Shuichi asked, mimicking Kokichi by batting his eyelashes in a simply stupid manner.
“Nuh-uh,” Kokichi shook his head again, folding his arms. But he knew exactly how this stand-off would end, and looked up at Shuichi.
“For a kiss?” Shuichi proposed, smiling as he saw Kokichi nod eagerly. Moving slightly closer, Shuichi tilted his head down slightly as Kokichi accepted his kiss. They did this so often, yet every time was special to Shuichi - a feeling of butterflies, as though fireworks were going off. Eventually breaking away, the two looked at each other, cheeks slightly flushed and eyes sparkling. Still pouting, Kokichi took the coat off Shuichi, reluctantly pulling it on.
“And your gloves,” Shuichi tried to hand them to Kokichi, but Kokichi shook his head yet again. Before Shuichi could insist, he cut across, “Look, if I get cold - I’ll just hold your hand, kay?”
Shuichi shook his head, but he was still smiling, “Okay.”
The walk was rather fun, if slightly chaotic at times. The thing Kokichi was most glad about was there was only one path, so they couldn’t get too lost. But he was still glad he had scouted the route ahead of time. He wasn’t glad it got incredibly cold, but he had Shuichi’s hand to hold. And they were always warm, and always there for him. Along with fond smiles and affectionate words.
Eventually, Kokichi recognized the gate that led to their field. Smiling, Kokichi suddenly pulled his hand out of Shuichi’s - sticking his tongue out and running away. Going as fast as he could, he yelled briefly over his shoulder, “Catch me!”
Kokichi could hear Shuichi move up immediately, but Kokichi had always been faster (and he had a head-start). Reaching the gate, he volted himself himself over - smiling as he saw the fireworks guy over there. Kokichi gave him a thumbs up, before shooing him away and exiting the field again. Smiling, Kokichi caught up to Shuichi again - running up and launched himself up, wrapping his arms around Shuichi. All the while the two of them smiled at each other like kids, Kokichi grinning wildly and looking up, Shuichi a tiny bit softer - but with just as much love.
Spinning around in Shuichi’s arms, Kokichi positioned himself to look up at the sky - just as the fireworks began. The sky began to fill with blue and purple stars, at the very start, before gold and silver joined. Briefly, Kokichi took his eyes off the sky to see Shuichi. And met grey eyes, who were looking down at him as well, smiling at the joy on his face. Playfully, Kokichi stuck his tongue out - then spoke briefly, “It’s prettier up there Shumai! I spent a lot on these!”
Laughing slightly, Kokichi slipped gently out of Shuichi’s hand as he saw a massive purple star suddenly fill the sky. He knew what it symbolised, even if Shuichi didn’t. There was a small frown on Shuichi’s face as Kokichi escaped from him, but Kokichi simply pointed upwards. Just as the lettering began to appear in the sky. Spelled out with fireworks of blue.
‘SHUICHI, WILL YOU MARRY ME?’
Followed by purple hearts, and then tears. But tears from Shuichi, and happy tears. The small distance between them was crossed almost instantly as Shuichi hugged Kokichi as hard as he could, all while whispering, “Yes!”

I firmly believe a toddler with nothing but chalk and a the sidewalk below them could create a better version of Danganronpa V3 than the flaming trash heap we got. I know some people really like it, I know some people love the characters from it and hate the story. I know some people just hate the ending, all of those opinions are valid.
However, I still think that it was extremely poorly written and the worst of the series. Gameplay wise it’s fine, and UDG is still shit in comparison, but story wise, nothing in the series comes close to the dumpster fire the game was.
In my opinion, I think the game had four good characters, being Kirumi, Maki, Miu and Ryoma. There are three characters that I’m neutral on, being Rantaro, Gonta and Angie. Finally I either dislike the rest of the cast for being subpar like Kaede, Tenko and Shuichi, bad like Korekiyo and Tsumugi, downright trash like Kokichi, Kaito and K1-B0 or the character who has a special tier for just how awful she is Himiko.
The story writing and character stories could have been done by pretty much any person without changing what makes the characters who they are. Not like it matters because most of them have no consistent characterization and change when the wind blows. Almost none of them have valid reasons for anything they do, or any way they act, they just fumble and flail and it’s so absurd and uninteresting that it astounds me that this game is in the same franchise as Trigger Happy Havoc.
Not to mention the ending that literally insults all of the fans for the actions of a few because the studio and team behind the game wanted to be petty. Overall I think this game genuinely was awful with only a few good qualities such as the four good characters (Plus Monotaro, he was adorable) and my favourite map design in the series.
I know it’s years late, but honestly I’m mainly a DR blog at this point so I wanted to share my opinion on it. If anybody has questions on my thoughts on characters, or why I don’t like them feel free to ask.
This game still had a better protagonist than SDR2. Hajime and Himiko share a tier for being the worst god damned characters to ever exist in this series.

Hiii! You mentioned that you like Genshin, Danganronpa and Overwatch what characters from those games do you like?
Hello, thank you so much for asking :)
Just gonna say, this post does contain some spoilers for the Danganronpa games, so be wary of that.
Overwatch
I’ve been playing Overwatch since 2018 and have been a Sombra main from all the way at the beginning to now. I have her golden gun and every skin ever released for her to this date purchased. I really like Moira too (may be partially due to me being Irish lol).
Danganronpa (THH, Goodbye Despair and Killing Harmony)
I’ve been a big Danganronpa fan for quite a long time now. I first played all of the games back in 2019 and am embarrassed to admit that I had a pretty cringey Danganronpa phase 😭😭 I used to be particularly fond of Kokichi, to the point where I’d talk about him and the games in general to basically anyone that would let me. I actually replayed the games recently with a friend that had never even heard of the franchise before. I have to say, my opinions have changed so much.
From the first game, I really like Celestia and Byakuya. I think they’re really intriguing and have cool designs. I think this game is probably my least favourite of the main trilogy, but that by no means implies that it’s a bad game. I absolutely loved replaying it.
From the second game, I loved Fuyuhiko and Peko. Playing the second class trial again broke me 😭 I seriously love them both and I love how Fuyuhiko develops afterwards (I seriously wanna see more tckl content of this little guy! He’s such cute lee).
From the third game, I’m particularly fond of Shuichi, which surprised me. I never really had a strong opinion towards him when I first played the game (probably too focused on every millisecond that Kokichi was on screen to care 😭), yet now, honestly, I’d go as far as saying he’s my favourite Danganronpa character in the franchise (I need more tckl content of him too! He’s such a cutie. I bet he’s the squirmiest little lee 😭). I also feel like the verdict of the first class trial hit way harder upon playing the it again. I was also really sad at the fact that Rantaro died first ☹️ I think he would have been a really interesting character to have gotten to know more about.
I’m not gonna include UDG because I haven’t replayed it yet and it’s been so long since I played it that I honestly don’t remember all that much about the characters (barring Toko, Genocider, Byakuya etc).
Genshin Impact
I started playing Genshin during Childes first banner I believe. The first ever 5* I got was Xiao (by accident). I ended up growing really fond of him and still main him even now. I really like Mona because I think her design is really cool and I love hydro characters in general. Funnily enough, she’s the only 5* from the standard banner that I have yet to obtain (thank you C2 Jean 😀). I think Chongyun is a pretty underrated character and his “friendship” with Xinqui is adorable (This post is basically just me begging for more tckl content of my favorite characters man 😭 I get so happy seeing tckl stuff with these two). I’ve also recently started becoming more fond of Scara too.
So yeah, that’s it! I really appreciate the question and congrats on being my first ask! If any of you guys want to ask me something, I’m happy to answer (it can be tckl or non tckl related by the way)! :)

Ahhhhh I love your works And writing it's so great !! ♥️
I really looooved the request with the ultimate flirt s/o , so could you do that again , but with Shuichi , Kaito , Hiyoko, Rantaro , Nagito , Byakuya, Fuyuhiko, Mahiru ? I don't want to preassure though!!
Thank you so much for the praise! I’m overjoyed to know that you enjoy our work that much. I was happy to write this so don’t worry about pressuring me or anything. I hope that you’ll enjoy this as much as I did writing it and that you have a wonderful day or night wherever you are!
Shuichi
Whether someone is an Ultimate Flirt or not Shuichi will easily get embarrassed by any advances you make.
Every little pick up line, compliment, or well timed dirty jokes makes his cheeks burn red with embarrassment as he struggles to find his words again.
He doesn’t have a lot of confidence but he can’t deny that it’s somewhat pleasant being the target of the Ultimate Flirt’s affections.
He isn’t very hard to get to so he’d probably fall for you rather quickly.
Kaito
Given how easy it is for Kaito to read people he’d have an easy time seeing your intentions, not that he minded them though.
Having someone flirt and compliment you all the time was nice in a way.
Getting Kaito embarrassed however proves rather difficult. He isn’t embarrassed by most things so rather than shy away like Shuichi he’ll proudly flirt back, enjoying all the attention.
He normally prefers to be the one to act first but he’d find that he’s falling for you before he’d even realize it.
Hiyoko
Hiyoko despite being rather mean falls to compliments. With a blush on her cheeks she may tell you you’re gross or annoying but don’t be fooled by her mean act!
She melts at all the attention you give her and will only demand more once she gets used to it.
Just don’t let her catch you giving anyone even an ounce of the attention you give her or else you’ll face her true wrath. She’s jealous and gets rather clingy quickly.
She falls almost instantly for you and your suaveness so you may as well savor the sweet moments you get with a sour girl like Hiyoko.
Rantaro
Rantaro isn’t typically a big fan of romance or flirting but he is rather used to being the target of other peoples’ affections.
He doesn’t get horribly embarrassed too often by your smooth lines or incessant flirting but you do get him at times when he doesn’t expect it.
Normally he just awkwardly laughs as he tries to forget the blush on his face but there’s no way you’re forgetting what it looks like once you’ve seen it once.
He may be difficult to get through with romance but for the Ultimate Flirt there’s little challenge.
He’d fall for you with time just as the others would. It may be more of a wait but even then Rantaro can’t say no to you.
Nagito
Nagito as much as he’s a fan of Ultimates would be confused as to why you’re flirting with him.
He would at first be the biggest pain, often trying to redirect your attention to someone far more “worthy” but once he’d realize that you aren’t leaving would go along with whatever you say.
He’s a difficult target. He doesn’t get embarrassed easily and rarely accepts the compliments you give him.
However, just as it’d be with Rantaro you’d get to him eventually.
All that buttering him up wouldn’t be for naught as he finds his heart pittering and pattering whenever you’re near in due time.
Byakuya
While Nagito and Rantaro are difficult targets in their own right, Byakuya is even worse.
Trying to flirt with Byakuya is like picking the hardest difficulty in a videogame you’ve never played before.
He’s quick to shut down advances and tries to avoid you any chance he gets but even the Byakuya Togami has a weakness.
Compliments. The more you give the happier he is, especially if you acknowledge how hard he’s worked to earn what he has.
It may be a grueling task to get him blush at your words but you’re not the Ultimate Flirt for nothing. If anyone can get Byakuya to fall for them it’s you without a doubt!
Fuyuhiko
Fuyuhiko wasn’t used to many genuine compliments nor flirting. Normally people were scared of him given his reputation as the Ultimate Yakuza but you were different.
You don’t show fear. All you do is flirt and flirt and well to be frank it confused the hell out of him at first.
Even despite this though, it’s super easy to get a reaction out of him. He blushes easily even if he gets mad from certain comments you make in public.
He’d fall rather easily for you given how hard it is to get close to others.
Mahiru
As much as it’s nice to hear so many sweet lines, Mahiru can’t help but get exasperated with how often you say embarrassing things.
Nearly anything you say makes her turn red as a tomato as she utters how embnarassing you’re being.
But as long as you don’t get her annoyed too much she’d be a rather easy target to subdue with your immense amount of charm.
Whether she’d like it or not she’d end up being unable to get you off of her mind as she falls for you more and more each day that goes by.

Hello? Hello? Danganronpa self shipper? Please share the F/Os and S/Is I crave this content bestie
Okay, so you asked this like, weeks ago (I’m sorry) but I am now officially not too stressed to enjoy anything other than Pokémon Legends: Arceus. I also had to write this in two sittings. So let’s go :3
My S/I is literally just me plopped in there. A tiny trans-guy being neurodivergent and trying his best. Like, I sometimes play with more backstory of me finally being able to study abroad in Japan and visiting Hopes Peak (except I’ve graduated now without ever studying abroad, thanks COVID :,3) and y’know, shit hits the fan. after those Sneaksy Twins™ start putting plans into action that involve one of them “disappearing” Mr. Jin Kirigiri was like “shit, need to find another one to fill in the gap so that we can have adequate pairs of Make Babies just in case everyone else dies. YOU. ASSIGNED FEMALE AT BIRTH.” :/ Which leads to survival, which leads to Future Foundation being like “hey can you babysit these guys on an island for us real quick” which justifies in my head my participation in the first two games. It also forces me to think dialogue in Japanese, which I desperately need to practice. But that’s all very messy and I generally don’t think about it too hard. That is for “canon” timeline anyway.
I do prefer non-despair AUs though, and also the “before everything went wrong” part of the anime. My idea there is that (by means I haven’t bothered to figure out) a woefully unqualified me is able to sneak into class 77 after stealing a Main Course uniform. Any time someone asks about my ultimate talent the answer changes which eventually leads to “haha, guess and I’ll tell you if you’re right ;)” My S/I does not have an ultimate talent, which does lead to angst. Yes, you already know where this is going, but let’s start with THH.
Oh, just so that I don’t have to name quite so many, I adore almost all of the characters platonically. There are, of course exceptions, but I think only Junko and Hiyoko, do I really dislike.
So in Trigger Happy Havoc, the only character I really ever desired romantically/intimately was Leon Kuwata. Much to my chagrin, he is a fuckboy. That’s okay though, it started out as a “hey if we’re all going to die, why not a little hedonism? I don’t wanna die a virgin, you game?” Alas ._. Anyway, we’re more fuck-buddies than anything, or we were because now I’m in a more committed relationship :3
Let’s hop over to V3 for juuust a sec before I absolutely gush on my SDR2 babes. ^^
So, either kinning Shuichi led to f/o-ing him, or f/o-ing him led to kinning. One or the other. My best friend kins Kaede, so go figure. Either way, I love him ^^ That said, I’m also a simp for Kaede, she’s such a good girl. I like to think of the three of us in a polycule.
I also love love love Kiibo so much!!! He’s such a good boy and he’s trying his best! I like to think of us becoming closer in my Japanese daydreams because I rely on him to translate some of my more complicated thoughts (trials) when I don’t have the vocabulary to communicate them in Japanese.
Okay! Now for SDR2! I could honestly make a separate post just for them. I’ll put the meta in this post and make a separate post for my canon ^^
Alrighty, so I think that my first boyo was Kazuichi Souda, Mr. shark teeth himself. It was real quick, I don’t remember exactly when, but I do remember commenting to my friends that I wanted to kiss him on the mouth pretty early on though. It became a running joke ^^ Pretty simple though, I thought he was attractive and had almost exactly the same personality type as Leo Valdez a la Percy Jackson, who I also had a huge crush on back in the day.
Next, chronologically and in terms of how complicated the route to understanding the feelings, is Fingers-In-His-Ass himself, Nagito Komaeda. So in the beginning I thought he was a pretty decent guy, but 1. I’d been on the internet long enough, and 2. My friend who had played the DR games before had a <_< attitude about him, so I knew something would happen. After the first trial, my pre-played friend was like “yeah, never really liked him. I thought he was pretty annoying” and my friend who was playing for the first time with me was like “lmao wtf” and despite everything, I couldn’t find it in me to hate him. I was kinda confused about it, but hating him didn’t feel right, despite the awful things he did. It wasn’t until I was contemplating after waking up at 3am or something, that I realized I couldn’t hate him because he was just like me. When my depression gets real bad, my self loathing monologue is his self deprecating monologue almost verbatim. From there, I was more inclined to sympathize with him and try to defend him. There… there was a little bit of an “I can fix him” thing going on, I’ll be real. But he doesn’t need to be “fixed” if it’s a non-despair AU and everything is fine anyway!
And finally, the MOST CONVOLUTED WAY TO CATCH FEELINGS EVER. Ft. Teruteru Hanamura :3
So, a little about me: I just graduated college with a bachelors degree in Japanese language. The school I went to required a senior thesis to graduate, for a Japanese degree that meant writing a 25 page paper about something related to Japan/Japanese language/culture. My topic of choice was the localization of Japanese video games for US audiences.
Actually, the whole reason I stumbled upon this topic was with the help of Teruteru and Miss Lotta Hart, from the Ace Attorney series. I wondered why in these two games (that I played in English) both had a character that spoke with a US southern accent, when the original games were written in Japanese. Obviously this had been a choice during localization, but why? How did they talk in the Japanese versions, and what’s the connection between their characters?
Well, for Lotta, she speaks with and Osaka dialect and portrays a character trope for loud, direct, and headstrong characters. Osaka characters are a character trope, pretty cut and dry. Teruteru doesn’t really fit into that, and only speaks with an accent near the end, so what does that mean?
I ended up writing a 7 page section titled “The Fascinating Case of Teruteru Hanamura”. I studied his dialect usage during the trial—it is not the same as Lotta’s dialect—I studied the way that he talks before he slips into that dialect, compared the stereotypes associated with the dialect that he uses and a US southern accent, and finally did an analysis of his character, why and how he masked where he was from, and why localization did a good job of conveying that character arc. Yeah, I did a lot of researching and thinking and writing about Teruteru.
And thesis? It’s stressful. I had a good many breakdowns over the course of the semester, but the only way to make myself less stressed was to do it. The trouble is, I have a really hard time organizing my thoughts on paper, but I can speak them really well. So in true self-shipper form, I found myself talking out my thoughts and planning my writing with fictional characters. And who’s the fictional character who was always on my mind? Teruteru. I ended up talking to him a lot, I got stressed a lot.
And ya know what? I think he’s exactly the f/o I needed to support me at that time. When I get super stressed, I don’t want to eat. I don’t want to go somewhere on campus to get food where people can see me falling apart. But it was a lot harder to skip meals when he was right there to bug me about it. “Honey, when did you eat last?” “Nah nah nah nah, I don’t think so. C’mon sugar, let’s go find something for you to eat.” “I’ll come with you, it won’t be so scary.” <3 <3 <3!!!!!!
So eventually my interest in him could not be considered solely academic any longer ^^;;;
So yeah, Souda-Pop, Teru Chan, and Nagito are my main polycule. I adore them. But this post is a novel as it is, so I’ll make a post just for them to continue gushing ^^

BECAUSE NO ONE WILL LISTEN TO ME, HEADCANONS I HAVE FOR THE DANGANRONPA GANG
Sayaka's actually alternative to the absolute BRIM but due to her idol status she can't wear her favorite outfits to shows or fan meets so when she wants to avoid paparazzi while just trying to hang with her friends, she wears these outfits as they don't recognize her like that.
In a Non-Despair AU Sayaka and Junko are friends and have done photoshoots with each other.
Sayaka speaks Spanish, she learned when she was young when she couldn't think of anything else to do in her free time so she learned it.
Sayaka also is bi and has more of a girl lean (she has crush on all the girls in her class).
Sayaka and her friends in her idol group have bloopers and silly moments like how other celebrities do posted online of just them having fun.
Another Sayaka one (i love her ok?) she's cousins with both Shuichi and Tsumugi.
Sayaka enjoys cosplaying with her and hypes up Shuichi as much as she can to make him feel proud of himself.
In a Non-Despair AU and where Junko is actually a good person, she and Mukuro adopt Kiyo as their brother and help him out to the best of their abilities to be better a sister for him.
Miu's cousins with Junko and Mukuro and has accepted Kiyo as her family now, they end up talking a lot about random things, he listens to her rant about her inventions while she does the same for him when talks about history and other cultures.
Mukuro dyes Junko and Miu's hair the bubblegum pink we all know and love.
Tenko and Miu are Lasian (Latin-Asian, Miu specifically is Mexican-Japanese (I haven't figured out Tenko just yet).
This is still towards them being Lasian but Tenko and Miu can dance really well and have taught their classmates how to bachata.
Miu has the BIGGEST crush on maid mom but absolutely refuses to admit and Junko teases her about it.
Miu did for sure though took Kirumi as her partner to learn bachata when she and Trnko were teaching their classmates.
Poor Kirumi doesn't understand her emotions so she doesn't know how she feels towards Miu but does wonder why she enjoys the inventor's company more than others. (Shuichi can immediately tell that the feelings are mutual between the two.)
Taka and Celeste are siblings, no one knew they were until Takaaki had called Celeste one day and Taka had yelled from across the room "TELL FATHER I SAID HI" and both Takaaki and Celeste yelled at him "YOUR INSIDE VOICE TAKA"
Maki was adopted by Takaaki as Taka and Celeste's sister around the time high school had just started but she fequently visits the orphanage (and continuing her jobs).
Takaaki remarried, his new wife being Hiroko making Hiro the step-brother to Taka, Celeste, and Maki, much to their dismay but keep it together since their dad is happy.
Ibuki, Leon, Sayaka, and Kaede have a small group of just them playing music together.
When these four hang out, there's either a large group standing around listening to them play their symphonies or... they're causing a bit of mischief thanks to a cheeky Sayaka and Ibuki.
Sayaka and Ibuki know how to scream. (the voice thing when you sing you nasties).
Mikan's related to the chaotic duo Kokichi and Kaito and the only times you won't see these two bicker is when they're around their timid cousin.
Mikan: Who needs a boyfriend when you can steal your cousins' clothes?
No one believed Nagito when he said that he was related to Sonia until she asked him when would he be able to visit her family again and he responded "I'm not sure but I would love to visit auntie and uncle again!"
Sonia and Nagito are each other's wingmen. Sonia needs help planning her date with Akane? He's there to help as fast as he can. Nagito wants to plan something special for Hajime and Chiaki? She always there to help to him out.
Chiaki and Chihiro are siblings change my mind.
I probably have more but I can't remember them all but anyways enjoy.

Dang Love Letter is over. I would be sad the Shuichi pain is over but I know we’re going to get more soon if you’re working on two projects at a time while taking a breather. Also YOU’RE ART STYLE IS ADORABLE?
Anyways back to the ending of Love Letter I’m glad it’s… as good as it can get. I wouldn’t say it’s a fully happy ending where everything is back to normal and whatever (because shuichi is straight up missing an eye, hand, and ear) but it’s the best it can be. Just the fact that Kokichi and Shuichi got together already made it good, you have successfully made me actually genuinely like Saiouma with your fics and yes I WILL say this every time.
I would give compliments but all of them are ones I’ve said before but I sure hope you know how good your writing is and how many people enjoy it :D
<3 :D thank you !!! I was super nervous to share my art so Im glad people like it x3
There was really no way to give Love Letter a fairy tale "everything is perfect now" ending. Im not a very big fan of those, especially not when the story itself was so dark. I like writing happy endings, which means I will write the happiest ending possible. Trust me, there are way darker ways all of my fics could have ended. I just cannot physically stomach dark or sad endings (´;ω;`)
o7 thats me. The saiouma writer ever. I really enjoy their dynamic and how moldable it is. It was only really ever one-sided on Kokichis part in the canon events of the game, but having their relationship elaborated upon in things like Salmon Mode and the Love Hotel (which i have a. lot of feelings about (个_个)) was what really drew me into the ship. Kokichi being so silly and mysterious and Shuichi being baffled every time and them playing and tying in rock paper scissors ONE HUNDRED TIMES is just. Why did they play it 100 TIMES?? Shuichi didnt think ONCE "hmm maybe theres something going on here..." ಠ_ಠ yeah i can see now why they clicked so perfectly for me. One is STUPID the other is also STUPID but also emotionally constipated. What a couple of sweethearts i hope this doesnt end tragically
( ◜‿◝ )♡ UWAHH thank youu💞💞 I'm never sure how to accept compliments but really it all means so so much to me so from the bottom of my heart . Thank you (/^-^(^ ^*)/
#allrin asks#i have a bad habit of rambling#i have so much to say at all times#especially about these stupid games#my gf can attest to that i NEVER shut the fuck up about these freaks

Why Saiouma isn’t toxic
(CW: in-depth discussion of abuse, discussion of rape/noncon)
Disclaimer(s): This is an intellectual discussion, not a screaming match. If you’re here to argue with facts and evidence, I don’t mind debating with you. If you just want to throw a tantrum because I like something you don’t, I’m going to tell you to take a Xanax and go to bed.
I’m combining the terms “toxic” and “abusive”; though they aren’t technically the exact same, they’re similar enough for the purposes of this essay.
This essay isn’t meant to convince you to ship Saiou. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it. But it’s not right to scream ‘abuse’ where none exists; it hurts fans and content creators, and it “diminishes the importance of that word and it reduces [it] to something volatile and stupid.”
To begin with, we have to identify what makes a relationship abusive. The way I define it, an abusive relationship involves manipulation, an inherent power imbalance, and/or physical or sexual abuse. Most of the hate-posts I’ve seen paint Kokichi as the abuser and Shuichi as the hapless victim, so that will be the focus of this essay.
1. Would Kokichi manipulate Shuichi for personal gain?
There’s no denying that Kokichi is a manipulative person. He’s a liar and he did some awful things in the game. No one’s saying he’s a morally white character. But it would be wrong to say he’s entirely evil, either.
I’ve already covered in this post why Kokichi can’t be said to lie for personal gain, but I’ll quote a bit of it here.
“The motivation [behind Kokichi’s lies] isn’t self-serving—he’s motivated by a desire to end a death game and stop anyone from having to go through what he and his friends have ever again. The smaller lies, though, like lying about his favorite foods? It would be annoying to be tricked like that, but it’s way too much of a stretch to label it psychological abuse.”
We know that Kokichi’s DICE organization has a moral taboo against murder. We know he hated the killing game, to the point where he orchestrated his own suicide in order to ruin it. And almost every time Kokichi lies in the class trials, it’s either for comedic relief or to push the cast toward finding the culprit.
“But Chapter 4!” you protest. “Kokichi manipulated Gonta into killing Miu!”
My response is threefold:
- Miu started it. Kokichi wouldn’t have done anything at all if his life wasn’t in danger and he wasn’t desperate.
- It’s wrong to think that Gonta is incapable of making his own decisions. Kokichi may have influenced him in that direction, but Gonta actively made the choice to kill Miu—his own avatar confirms it at the end of the trial. (See also: Impytricky’s “Gonta Gokuhara Character Analysis: When a Genius is Treated like a Child”)
- Kokichi felt terrible about what happened in Trial 4, to the point where he begged Monokuma to execute him along with Gonta. He didn’t need to do that, and it throws off his whole “I’m the mastermind” act just a few lines later, so we must assume he was being honest about that. It’s clear that he doesn’t enjoy hurting others.
If that’s still not enough for you, consider: desperation, and, by extension, the killing game, brings out the worst in people. We can’t accurately judge a person’s character if all we have to go off of is the worst parts of them. Would Leon have killed Sayaka outside of the killing game? Would Hifumi have agreed to help Celestia kill Taka? Would Gundham have killed Nekomaru?
So, would Kokichi manipulate Shuichi for personal gain? No. His whole character is motivated by a desire to help the others, and his lies are either manifestations of that motivation or harmless pranks meant to entertain.
2. Does the Saiouma ship have an inherent power imbalance?
Shuichi is, by his own admission, weak. Kokichi has a strong personality and likes to be in charge. That doesn’t mean that Kokichi doesn’t respect Shuichi and his opinions. In fact, each class trial is packed with evidence of Kokichi listening to Shuichi’s point of view and respecting his intelligence. For instance:
- Kokichi sided with Shuichi during scrum debates 2, 3, and 4
- Kokichi pointed out most of Shuichi’s lies during the trials (and back routes), but in most cases, didn’t fight him on it
- Shuichi is the only character identified as “trustworthy” by the white board in Kokichi’s room—i.e., Kokichi trusted him to at least be on the right track in the trials.
Kokichi is also shown to care about Shuichi’s feelings in the game, like when he told him he’d rather bring Kaede back to life in Chapter 3, because it would make Shuichi happy. To reiterate: he wants Shuichi to be happy even if it means they don’t end up together. That says a lot.
Additionally, I already mentioned that Shuichi is weak, but it’s important to realize that he isn’t so much of a pushover that he’s entirely incapable of standing up for himself. Look at his interactions with Miu, for example: he sharply told her that “I can wear a hat if I want” when she made fun of him for it, and in her FTEs, he refuses to eat the hygienically questionable food she made for him.
Shuichi’s kind of a simp and tends to get roped into things, yes. But he’s able to stand up for himself—especially after Chapter 6—to the point where he wouldn’t enter into a relationship unless he wanted to. If you think Kokichi would somehow be able to force Shuichi to be his boyfriend, you have no faith in Shuichi—and Chapter 6 proves you wrong.
So, is Saiouma inherently imbalanced? No. Kokichi respects Shuichi’s feelngs, intelligence, and opinions, and Shuichi’s a stronger character than he’s given credit for.
3. Would Kokichi physically or sexually abuse Shuichi?
One needs only to look at Kokichi’s Love Hotel event for the answer. While the Love Hotel isn’t canon to the game’s timeline, the characters are still in character— that is, Kokichi and Shuichi are acting as they normally act.
It’s important to note that Kokichi is the only character who backed off of Shuichi after Shuichi either appeared visibly uncomfortable or told them to stop. Kaede asked for Shuichi’s consent and was given it; Angie, Himiko, Kiyo, Miu, and Tsumugi all took advantage of Shuichi in some way or another; and the rest just didn’t have sexual connotations. Kokichi made advances on Shuichi, noticed that Shuichi was uncomfortable, and immediately backed off.
“But wait!” you cry. “Just because one character didn’t rape the other doesn’t mean they have a good relationship!”
Of course, and that’s important to realize, too. But recall that the purpose of this essay isn’t to convince you to ship Saiouma—it’s to prove that it isn’t abusive.
Keep in mind that this was Kokichi’s fantasy— he would have been able to do whatever he wanted to Shuichi with zero repercussions, and Shuichi probably wouldn’t even remember much when he woke up. And still, Kokichi chose to stop the moment he realized Shuichi wasn’t on board with what was happening. That says a lot.
And what about outside the game? We know from the Salmon Mode ending that Kokichi is desperate for someone to “figure him out.” He’d be very careful not to jeopardize his relationship with someone who genuinely wants to understand him.
And Shuichi does genuinely want to understand him:
So, would Kokichi physically or sexually abuse Shuichi? No. It’s just not in his character.
“But what if Kokichi was lying about EVERYTHING IN THE WHOLE GAME?” you yell. “There’s no way we can trust anything he’s ever said ever!”
If every Danganronpa character was polite, kind, open, and honest, 100% of the time without fail, the game would be incredibly boring. If that’s the kind of media you’re into, I’d recommend something like Reader Rabbit or Winnie the Pooh. Danganronpa is a murder mystery, where characters hurt and betray and lie and actually kill each other. You can’t trust anyone; that’s the whole point.
So I advise you to go back through the game with an open mind and try, actually try, to use reading comprehension skills to understand the characters. Examine their motives, think about what they might be feeling when they make the decisions they do.
Danganronpa is not the kind of game to spoon-feed you easy-to-swallow characters. You have to pick them apart yourself.
As for everything Kokichi has ever said possibly being a lie? Maybe. Maybe every character is lying to you. But if you hate Kokichi just because he’s dishonest, then it follows that you have to hate Rantaro, Kaede, Shuichi, Kaito, Maki, Himiko, Kiyo, Miu, Tsumugi, Kirumi, and Kiibo—which, at that point, why are you even a fan of the game?
And if you deny everything Kokichi said just because you think it’s a lie…
In conclusion
You can dislike Saiouma because it’s not your thing, but it’s wrong to spread hate over abuse that doesn’t exist. Hating and attacking people for having a different opinion than you won't magically sway them to your side. If you can't articulate your points in a way that doesn't antagonize, you probably shouldn't be talking. People like what they like for a reason, and spitting on what they like won't make you any friends.
And throwing around weighted terms like “toxic” when you just don’t like something? That makes YOU the toxic one.

Danganronpa Characters Seeing you in a Cute Outfit (no despair AU)
~~this is NOT a request. For these headcanons I picked Makoto, Aoi, Nagito, Sonia, Kiibo and Tenko. (I'm on phone, so I'm sorry for the bad layout)I hope you enjoy! ~mod fuyuhiko~~
MAKOTO NAEGI:
-As soon as he looked at you, he looked away. This worried you.
-When you wandered into his vision the second time, you noticed his beet red face. And then it all clicked.
-You began teasing him, poking his cheek and messing up his hair. Makoto puffed his cheeks out in response, albeit still flustered.
-"(y/n), stopppp...y-you look really pretty/handsome...t-today.."
-Makoto stumbled over his words so much you could hardly tell what he was saying. Soon, you deciphered it.
-"Aww, thanks Makoto! You're so sweet." You tackle him down onto the bed he was sitting on. Although you were on top of him, he was still looking everywhere but at you.
-"Makotoooooo, look at meee," you pouted, and he instantly looked over to you, face redder than ever. You chuckled.
-You lept up from the bed, grabbing Makoto's hand and dragging him out the door. "Let's go!"
AOI ASAHINA:
-Aoi was waiting for you in the kitchen, as per usual. You stumbled into the kitchen, wearing a new outfit you bought recently that you fell in love with.
-Aoi heard you open the door, and turned over to you, a donut in her mouth and a paper plate in her hand. Her jaw went slack. The donut fell onto the plate.
-As a red pigment coated her cheeks, she yelled, "(y/n)!!!! You're so beautiful/handsome!!" As she placed her plate onto the counter, she stormed over to you encasing you in a bear hug.
-You could hardly breathe by how tight she was hugging you, and you poked her back to tell her that. With Aoi being an athlete worthy of the title of 'Ultra', she easily managed to lift you up and cuddle you.
-You got flustered "Aoi....We're gonna be l-late.." Aoi remembered your date and let go, placing you on the ground delicately before trying to wrap up a donut and hide in her bag before you could see.
-You quickly caught her and reprimanded her, "Aoi, you're not gonna eat all the food you order at the restaurant if you eat all the donuts!" "The restaurant...oh! Right! Our date!"
-She ran to you so fast you could hardly see her and she grabbed your hand and sprinted to the door so fast you had just about enough time to grab your wallet.
-Even at the end of your date, she still begged for donuts (she made you take the route that has a Dunkin'Donuts along the way.)
NAGITO KOMAEDA
-Nagito always worshipped your fashion choices. He always thought you were so attractive and gorgeous, and he took any chance he could get to tell you that.
-You had put on an outfit that you were sure Nagito had never seen before. It was a Saturday, and in a self indulging mood, you decided to feel good about yourself. Nagito was sitting on the (favourite dark colour) couch in your living room.
-You walked over and sat next to him, a cup of (favourite drink) in one hand, a cup of Nagito's preferred drink in the other. "Hi, Nagito. How've you been, babe?"
-Nagito didn't look at you as you sat down, only turning to grab his drink. He reached out for it, but he froze as soon as he locked his eyes onto you. You silently cheered in celebration, happy that your new look really was quite jaw dropping.
-"(y/n), you're...you're perfect! Trash like myself doesn't deserve you... why'd you decide to dress up today?"
-You explained why you felt so confident today and he placed his cup down to embrace you tightly, one hand moving from your spine to your side, the other playing with your hair. (If you are uncomfortable with that, imagine him doing something else that calms you down)
-You immediately returned the embrace and soaked in the sweet whispers and compliments Nagito gave you, until he broke the hug and stood up. Having already being dressed, he grabbed his phone and your hand and led you outside.
-You two bought bagels at the end of your sudden date.
SONIA NEVERMIND:
-Sonia was attracted to you from day one. You were the only one she actually spoke to for the first few months of Hope's Peak Academy. You were a huge fan of Sparking Justice, just like her, so you two instantly clicked.
-Sonia asked you out after some time. You were over the moon! She got you treats and little trinkets all the time, which you told her was a bit too much. She didn't listen, and she showered you with expensive gifts 24/7.
-On a certain day, you and Sonia had a date you had never been on before; an anime binge date. Sonia invited you over to her... house? mansion? palace? as per usual, and as soon as she opened the door she froze like a deer in the headlights.
-You were dressed in a simple but comfortable outfit, perfect for cuddling and staying home. Sonia threw her arms around you, squealing adorably over you.
-"(y/n)! You're so pretty/handsome! I am absolutely in love with your style! Come in, come in!" She ushered you in after she was done ogling you.
-You two binge watched plenty of original anime, and before you knew it the sun was setting and you were falling asleep, head on Sonia's lap.
-She snapped countless pictures of you on her pretty dark purple phone, all at different angles. You would soon wake up to her adorable giggling, peeking over to see your sleeping face.
-"S-Sonia!" "I'm sorry, my beloved! I could not hold back!" As much as you wanted the pictures deleted, you couldn't help but melt at her cute giggles and smile.
KIIBO:
-Well, you guessed it; he overheated as soon as he laid his eyes on your form. How could he not? You were so handsome/beautiful to him, his servos starting freezing up.
-You got scared as he began to scream in a low monotone voice, falling in the process. You grabbed the boy before he could hit the ground, his eyes locked on yours the whole time.
-You took him to Miu, who lived in the apartment down the hall. Even she commented on your appearance! "Hell yeah, (y/n)! You look sexy as hell!"
-You set out as soon as Kiibo woke up, and he almost overheated when he saw you once again. Miu smacked him out of it.
-Kiibo, trying not to overheat, lead you to an adorable picnic he had set up. You got so impressed; you hugged him tight and he could feel his servos jitter as he hugged you back.
-As clichè as it was, you loved it to bits. Kiibo tried his best. Kiibo, who struggled to talk most the time, complimented you as much as he possibly could. When it got too cold to stay out for longer, you both went home.
-You passed out on his shoulder as soon as you got through the door. Kiibo almost overheated for the nth time that night, but he dragged you over to your bed as he tried ignoring it.
-He was probably going to overheat seeing you in the same outfit tomorrow, but oh well.
TENKO CHABASHIRA:
-Tenko was always going around insulting the men around her; you could hear her from miles away. She was quite easy to track down.
-That said, you were determined to show her your new outfit that you based around her own. It took a while, but you managed to find her in the hallway, pointing and aggressively raising her voice at poor Shuichi.
-You walked over to the bow haired girl, sliding your arms over her neck and embracing her in a hug. She got scared, but she noticed your head on her shoulder. "Ah! (Y/n), you're here! I'm happy to se-"
-It was then that she noticed your outfit. It didn't take long for her face to turn a rich red. She covered her face with her arms and pointed to you.
-"(y/n), w-what are you w-w-wearing!?" She stuttered and stumbled, her voice breaking quite often. "I was planning outfits, and I wanted to match with you, babe!"
-You knew exactly how to get her into a flustered and jumbled mess. Although she was quite tough, you were the only one who was able to break through that and always managed to make her a shy girl around you.
-"H-hey! We should go out somewhere...like, like right now!" "Tenko, it's almost time for class-" "Doesn't matter! We're leaving, now!" She sped through the exit with you in tow.
-While you two enjoyed your very unexpected date, Shuichi stood there shortly after you left, more or less confused on what he had witnessed.

Warning- spoilers for the end of danganropnpa v3
(massive essay is below the read more I think I spent like half an hour on this I’m not even joking😅)
Ok so I recently finished danganropnpa v3 and I have some theories on what the ending meant
At the end of the game tsugumi says the following:
She essentially hints that the killing game was copied from something, and that I believe is copied from the first two killing games.
We know that Tsugumi says that the first two games were also a tv show just like v3 was, but if that were the case why would she say that she was copying something? I believe that she saw these two killing games and took inspiration from them to make them into a tv show.
Junko enoshima had a massive influence on the world, with people named the remnant’s of despair helping spread that despair across the word. It’s clear that more people will have been influenced by her over time, with it starting out as just students from hopes peak academy and eventually many others will have likely joined over the years.
A group named future foundation was then set up, with Makoto and the rest of the survivors from trigger happy havoc joining them to spread hope around the word and put a stop to the global despair. We never get confirmation of they succeeded with that goal, however in danganronpa v3 we see that the outside world is back to normal, however the only thing strange is that society seems to have normalised the killing games being broadcast globally, with v3 being the 53rd season meaning it is clearly very popular. My theory is that something happened over time which instead one side winning (this being hope v despair) the end result was actually somewhere in the middle.
I imagine that the future foundation were able to get the chaos to die down or stop completely. However because this disaster had been going on for so long it had become normalised in the world for people to be killed and for despair to always happen. Because of this when society returned to ‘normal’ years and years later (I believe it was mentioned that v3 was 100 years in the future) they were actually used to despair and it would still be occasional to see despair take place even though the outside world was mostly peaceful. I believe that society became quite twisted and began to see killing/despair in general as a sort of entertainment. It wouldn’t surprise me if because they were so used to it they would find life boring without it. (Honestly it kinda gives me hunger games vibes with the rich people watching everyone kill eachother as entertainment (I haven’t seen it so I think that’s what happened??))
And this is where tsugumi got her idea.If she also felt the same way about this and also enjoyed hearing about despair on the news and seeing it in the media I believe she then decided that a killing game tv show would be really popular around the globe. If she were to copy the killing games set up by junko enoshima then the world would definitely enjoy it, after all that’s what lead to them all having these ideas in the first place. It’s likely that if junkos killing games had been broadcast to the outside world then it will have been documented somewhere, and potentially would be available for the public now to watch, meaning that the current world would know everything about it and would enjoy there to be more of it.
We also know that in v3 all the participants were eager to join the tv show before they were turned into fictional characters. Shuichi says in his audition video ‘I’ve always been a big fan of danganropnpa and always wanted to be in one. If I were a contestant I would be the ultimate detective. I know there’s been a few in the past and I’ve always loved those characters. I know there’s been a few in the past and I’ve always loved those characters so I would want to be one of them. Ah but I don’t have to be a detective, I’ll be anything just to be part of the show. And I mean that, I’d do anything to be part of danganropnpa. I promise if I get selected I’ll work as hard as I can. I will come up with the best, most gruesome murders! I promise! Everyone will love it! An ultimate detective hasn’t been the blackened yet so I’m sure I can do that! I’m also thinking about the perfect punishment for an ultimate detective’
Shuichi clearly showed a huge for the killing games and really enjoyed them. The fact that he also had ideas for gruesome and interesting killings along with making ideas about his own punishment and being really enthusiastic about it shows that he was willing to sacrifice his and other people ls lives for the sake of the show. We also get an insight of kaede and kaito when they auditioned and they also seemed very excited about it too, showing how corrupt society had became, all due to the work of junko enoshima and tsugumi shirogane.
Obviously this is just my theory about the ending of danganropnpa so obviously it’ll be different to others, but I thought it would be cool to talk about my ideas because it’s really interesting about what could have potentially happened

ZGD Volume 1, End of Volume Interview with Hiroyuki Kitazume and Shuichi Ikeda
This interview is found at the back of the first volume of the Zeta Gundam Define manga, and appears to have originally been published in the edition of Gundam Ace where the first chapter of ZGD was serialized.
Kitazume is the manga author for ZGD, and previously Char's Deleted Affair. He previously worked on the TV version of Zeta Gundam as an animation director, and was the character designer for ZZ and CCA. Ikeda is the voice actor behind a certain blonde man with too many names.
It's my first time translating an interview, and I found it to be very different from my normal translation endeavors, which mostly involve song lyrics, dialogue, or narration. I hope that I did a decent job. (As always, many thanks to M.I.-sensei, my Japanese teacher and fellow Gundam fan, who helps me with the tricky bits and cultural context.)
Of particular note to me are Ikeda's comments on entering his mid-20s after a period of political upheaval in his youth and how that related to the way he played 27-year-old Char, and Kitazume's musings on being both a fan and a creator of the same franchise. Ikeda's ending words about the burning feelings remaining in the hearts of 30-somethings were very sweet to me, a 30-something with burning feelings remaining in my heart. (lol)
In order for the Char of "Zeta Gundam" to grow, he needs to encounter a wall that's difficult to climb and go through a lot of frustrations.
The comicalization of Zeta Gundam, which has already started—because the new story is written from Char's perspective, author Hiroyuki Kitazume had an urgent discussion with Mr. Shuichi Ikeda!
If you write Z Gundam nowadays You need a new perspective, namely Char.
―From this month's edition onward, "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Define" (henceforth ZGD) will begin its serialization. Mr. Kitazume, please tell us your reason for making Char (Quattro) the main character.
Kitazume: When I first heard about the idea of doing a comicalization, I thought that, in order to write "Zeta Gundam" nowadays, we need a different perspective than the movie version. When I think about "Zeta Gundam," which exists within the natural progression in the story between First Gundam and "Char's Counterattack," where Amuro and Char settle things, I immediately consider Char's storyline, rather than Kamille's. As a result, following on from the previously serialized "Char's Deleted Affair," I wanted to write with an emphasis on Char.
―How does Mr. Ikeda, who has played Char for over 30 years, feel about this change in protagonist?
Ikeda: When we were working on the TV series version of "Zeta Gundam," I saw Char through a somewhat negative lens, but five years ago, when I was able to reprise the role for the movie trilogy, I wondered if Char was actually so bad, and there were also parts where I was satisfied with him. Hearing that Mr. Kitazume is going to write from a new perspective, I'm looking forward to it, in whatever form it takes. I'm sure Char is happy, too.
Kitazume: Thank you very much. I'm a huge fan of First Gundam, but in particular, amongst other anime characters of the time, Char was on a different level. Rather than simply being a villain, he had his own background and circumstances, to such an extent that he could be said to be similarly developed to the main character. If First Gundam only had the mobile suits and Amuro, I don't think it would have become such a phenomenon. In that way, Char stands as a symbol of the overall work that is "Gundam." So, this time, for both the portrayal of the mobile suits and the buildup of the drama, I have a strong desire to make it feel like a continuation of First Gundam.
Ikeda: I see.
Kitazume: When I rewatched the "Zeta Gundam" TV series from the beginning, there were many points that caught my attention. When we saw Amuro and Char reunite, they were too friendly towards one another, to the point that it didn't seem like two characters who had, a few years ago, been enemies engaged in a battle to the death. As a fan, since they're both very familiar characters, and because the thought that they were able to reunite was so grand, I don't remember being upset by that kind of reunion. But if those two were real people, I think they'd react a bit differently. Those kinds of fine details are the sorts of things I like to carefully consider while designing the direction of the drama. Also, by the time of "Char's Counterattack," Char is acting in accordance with his displeasure towards the Federation military, so I think it makes sense to prepare for that eventuality by writing clearly within the scope of "Zeta Gundam." So, by setting the focus on Char, rather than Kamille or Amuro, I thought I could get those points across nicely within "ZGD."
―Mr. Ikeda, when you were playing Quattro, did you feel like he was different from Char?
Ikeda: Quattro has a certain coldness, or maybe passivity about him. He gave off a feeling as if he were looking at everything from the position of someone standing a little above it all. I've said this before, but I felt that Char's position in the TV series might have been similar to Mr. Tomino's at the time of production. That's why I thought it was best to play Quattro with coldness, as if he was holding everyone at a distance. But when I was able to reprise the role for the movie version, I once again felt, "'Zeta Gundam' is a work that came out fine in the end, after all."
Kitazume: I think that may have been the thing that separated it from First Gundam, and allowed it to attract new fans. That's why I want to, as much as possible, reflect those parts that "Zeta Gundam" fans loved in my manga, without shaving them down. Still, since my personal bias is towards Char being a cool guy, I'd like to somewhat reduce the parts where he's a bit "pathetic," like where Kamille punches him and he tears up. I want his personality to shine through, and to clarify what he was doing and how he felt during "Zeta Gundam." I think, if I'm able to do that, the readers will also be able to accept his actions in "Char's Counterattack."
I want to draw an image of Char Encountering a wall that is challenging to climb
―The Char of "Char's Counterattack" held the belief that humanity could never be truly independent of the Earth unless the planet itself, along with the people who are bound to it, are destroyed.
Kitazume: If you don't give him some pretty terrible experiences, he wouldn't reach such an outlandish conclusion. In First Gundam, Char was acting on his personal grudges, but by "Zeta Gundam," he's started to grow up. Although Char was concerned with the Spacenoid independence movement that his father, the late Deikun, advocated for, and the Reformation of Man, which Newtypes typify, and acted in the hopes that he could change the world by moving all of humanity forward, the hard-headed people around him didn't accept these ideas. He himself is trying to grow, but his circumstances don't allow for it, and he feels he isn't able to overturn the current regime. That's why Char has to encounter a wall that's difficult to climb and go through a lot of frustrations. In that sense, I don't think there's any option, when writing the Char of "ZDG," except to have him push forward unwaveringly and encounter a lot of hardship, perhaps to the point that the contents end up far more desolate than the TV series, and possibly going in the opposite direction to the movie version of "Zeta Gundam."
Ikeda: I felt like the movie version had to compromise in that it could only go in the direction of saving the characters. Whenever I'm performing a role, to a considerable extent, I end up putting something of myself into the performance. I'm from the Zenkyoto generation, but if I imagine the One Year War as my own past as a student, once I reached my mid-20s, I looked back, thinking "Huh, what was that about, I wonder?" as if I had been overcome with sudden apathy. When I was playing Quattro, I was doing so while feeling even more apathetic at the time. So, that scene where he's punched by Kamille and sheds tears saying "So, this is youth," I was playing that part while thinking, "You know, [my generation of] middle-aged guys were saying 'bring change to Japan,' and building barricades, and doing this and that, but in the end, didn't accomplish anything, did they?" It may just be my bad habit, but as a performer, if I don't change the character's lines to something that's inside me already, I can't really perform it. For "Zeta Gundam," I think it was that era of my own life, so now Kitazume's writing might show something like, "Those middle-aged guys weren't so bad, you know!" I'd be happy to see that kind of Char.
Kitazume: Between the time when "Zeta Gundam" was airing on TV and now, not only is the era itself different, but the readers have also changed, so I think that it's only natural that the way I, as a middle-aged man, write will also be different. That's because the feelings held by the 30-somethings of today towards Quattro, and the impression of Quattro they had as middle school students who saw him on TV, are different. This is true for any anime, but the thoughts you have when watching it and the impression you have after time passes and you mature as a person are completely different, which causes you to feel a sense of incongruence when you go back and rewatch it. In that sense, I'd be very grateful if you could read "ZGD" without rewatching the anime, and, after some time passed since your last viewing, feel convinced that it could have turned out like this. (laughing)
Besides Char, the supporting cast Changes to the characters
―In the movie version, Bright is also a rather fatherly character, but in "ZGD," what do you think Bright's role will be?
Kitazume: In the TV series, there's a passive impression of his participation in the AEUG, but I think the movie version brings his thoughts to the fore and shows him proactively working with the AEUG out of antipathy towards the Titans. I'd like to progress through the story while showing the situational relationships between the various factions—the older characters who embrace their own personal ideals within the AEUG and Titans, and Scirocco, who leads the Jupitris. On the other hand, Kamille has great combat potential and is a stronger Newtype than others, but I'd like to emphasize his youth and naivety, and the way he's unable to influence the political plot. Even compared to all the other series that make up Gundam, "Zeta Gundam" has a very complicated story. There are numerous factions participating in the conflict and there's also a large number of characters. Despite this, it's also true that there's an extraordinary amount of fans of the series. When I was doing the sakuga for "Zeta Gundam," I felt as though I was a representative amongst First Gundam fans who had been allowed the honor of drawing a continuation, and I see this manga in just the same way. I personally really love the story of Amuro and Char, not just limited to First Gundam, but also including "Char's Counterattack," and I'm also a fan of Tomino, so I want the driving force of my writing to come from my viewpoint as a Gundam fan.
Ikeda: With both Mr. Kitazume's manga and my discussion, it would be great if the people who were watching "Zeta Gundam" in real time can recall some of the feelings they held back then. It's an invitation to all those 30-somethings who admired the Kamille they saw on TV and thought that they, too, might be able to become Newtypes someday. You may not have been able to become Newtypes, but those burning feelings from that time are still within your hearts... That's what I'd like you to look for. At the premiere of the movie version of "Zeta Gundam," when greeting the men who had become adults, yet still came all the way to the theater to watch anime, I was left with a strong sense of gratitude that this work had come into being. There probably aren't that many anime that grown men can really enjoy watching. Just as with the movie version, I think Mr. Kitazume's manga will be something that adults can enjoy.
―Lastly, let's have a few words for the readers who are looking forward to the progression of the story.
Kitazume: Regarding the comicalization, Mr. Kobayashi, who was editor-in-chief of Gundam Ace when it first began its publication (and is currently Director of the Media Division at Kadokawa Shoten) told me that, "There aren't many people who we could ask to draw 'Z.' Because you're the person who can do it, you have to do it." Ultimately, him saying that to me was the deciding factor that got me to take on this project. As a Gundam fan, and as someone who has been involved in making Gundam for a long period, it was maybe inevitable, or I felt like I should face the work with gumption, like there's nothing for me except to do it. The genre of robot anime itself has changed, so in order to keep the people who read it from saying that it's "old-fashioned," I want to create a work that is able to incorporate new elements while also keeping the good parts of the old work, so that fans from the olden days can also enjoy themselves.

Well, I guess there is a question was mentioned in SDB BLACK PLUS 10 regarding Haibara.. and the question is: ((Q17: Will Haibara-san find happiness?A: Well, her name is “哀” (Ai, meaning sorrow) so… (laugh)))... Ok, upon reading this answer, what comes to my mind that Ai will die in the end, and this explains why she will never find happiness.. In addition, her death will be surprising ending, and shocking for everyone, but in a sad way.. I'm sorry, but that I expect until now 🙄🙄
Hey Anon!
I checked out that interview and found out that question was asked all the way back to 2003. In the same SDB 10+, he was asked the following:
Q13: Will Ai-chan go back to normal as well when Conan does?
A: Look forward to it. — TN: I think this implies “yes” but I’m not sure.
So kind of a good omen, right?
If you're still not convinced, there are other good signs Haibara will definitely not die.
1. From SDB 60+ in 2014:
Q16: Will anyone on Conan's side die in the end?
A: Maybe. Maybe not. Please wait in joy! That wouldn't be joyful, would it? (laugh)
I think his answer here is pretty clear, even if he tried to beat around the bush (as usual). So no, Haibara will not die.
2. From SDB 70+ in 2014:
Q125: I want to see both Haibara and Shuichi get back to their normal life.
A: Yeah.(I want, too.) Just stay tuned!
Q126: I love Ai-chan very much, is it real that Ai-chan cannot get be happy? I want to see her smile from now on.
A: I have no idea when I will draw that scene, but in the true end there may be some bright spots about her.
I hope these answers have reassured you a bit more 🙏🏼
As for her ending, Gosho gave an interview in 2018 to Da Vinci Magazine and did confirm her ending will surprise everyone:
Gosho: everyone is wondering how things gonna develop with Haibara and How gonna be her end ?....i guess her end gonna surprise everyone.... because she is .... Aaaaah i can't say that (laugh)
I know her ending being a surprise scares fans. And while there are so many ways to screw up her ending, I'm optimistic Gosho will deliver us an ending worth the wait.
It doesn't make sense to kill such a pivotal character who is the reason why there is a storyline. She is also very popular and killing her off is just...stupid. Also I don't think Gosho is willing to anger so many fans. What will her ending entail? Well, Gosho has a surprise in store for us and hopefully it'll be a happy one based on the interviews he's given.
I mean are you telling me I watched my baby cry in the movie 'Countdown to Heaven' and had my heart shatter in pieces, only for her to die in the end??
Nope, sorry. Not happening!!! 😤
One thing that comes to mind that I found surprising is how quickly she dismissed the BO aura she sensed from Wakasa when she said she liked her. Soooo this might be tied to her 'surprising' ending...
Regardless, Ai-chan will be happy and I refuse to believe otherwise. My tsundere baby deserves all the happiness in the world and must be protected at all costs!!
I mean look at that face 🥺🥺
Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk😁❤️
