Message to the DCMK fandom

In light of recent events (the revelation from movie 27), I would like to say to the fandom and most of all the non KaiShin shippers:

Don't harass or attack KaiShin shippers

Don't mock them

Don't make them feel bad

Don't push them to delete their KaiShin content/blog

Celebrate all you want, but don't brag to KaiShin lovers. For most of us, the revelation hits us bad. Don't rub salt in the wound.

And please, please don't harass them for still shipping KaiShin. Don't make them feel bad for still enjoying a ship that bring them joy still. This ship has over 30 years and, until the latest movie, we never suspected such revelation to be ever canon

Please be normal and let's keep peace and civility in the fandom.

I'm seeing many people saying things like: "Come on, it was too obvious... They look too much alike!" or "Why are you all surprised? They could be twins!".

To these sentences, I'll answer:

1/ We thought it was an on-going joke.

2/ Some of us may have suspected they were cousins/half brothers/twins/whatever but we never guessed it would be revealed as canon, in a movie, more than twenty years after.

3/ The manga is full of lookalikes. Ran and Aoko look alike, they could even be twin sisters if not for the different hair style. Does the fandom claim them to be family? Soshi Okita also looks like Shinichi. Even Hattori was able to disguise himself as Shinichi (ableit with a different hair style and make-up to clear his skintone). Does that mean they're family too? Gosho Aoyama is known for drawing characters with similar traits. You can't blame us for thinking Kaito and Shinichi looking like each other was nothing but a coincidence.

If Gosho let his characters be more morally gray on family issues Masumi would have FeelingsTM about 2/3 of her relatives obssessed with the death of a man she never knew. Not to mention how the 'last' time she saw Shuichi before he faked his death he yelled at her, driving her to tears. Masumi receives the news of it while Mary is chasing her could-be-back-could-be-a-trap husband in England and wonders if the MI6 will send her effects to her the way the FBI did. Then Mary nearly dies and has chronic health issues forcing her to rely on her daughter full time. Masumi full of abandonment issues takes relief that her mom won't have a choice in bringing her along.
