I'm sure I've posted this advice before, and the semester has already started, but if you're worried about antisemetism on (university and college) campuses, please look into community college. I thought for the longest time that I would immediately transfer to a uni after graduation, but fortunately, things went completely sidewise and I had to apply to community college. It's a very underrated option, I think, especially if you're worried about potentially facing negative experiences for being jewish or associated with jews in general.
This is especially important to me because I grew up in a culture which venerated the Top Universities and almost saw community college as a charity option, one in which you only went to if you barely had a GED or if you're poor. At first, I felt ashamed of going to community college first. Once I actually grew up a bit and got classes under my belt, I really started enjoying my campus. It's been silent in terms of how people treat me when I am visibly jewish to them, plus the admin were almost too accommodating to my needs as a trans person. The only bad thing is that there is no jewish life club or hillel or anything akin to it - I might just be the only student who would be interested in that at all.
You need to be more discerning than Minerva University in terms of colleges you accept. Being accepted into college is a two-way road, and you as a student have more to lose than a college does. Framing it as a privilege for the student isn't helpful, especially if you're a jewish student. Community colleges are not immune to antisemitism, and I want that to be clear. I just think they tend to be way quieter and can be less antisemetic. From my own experiences, I am actually glad my initial plan did not work out at all.

"[Elizabeth Woodville's] piety as queen seems to have been broadly conventional for a fifteenth-century royal, encompassing pilgrimages, membership of various fraternities, a particular devotion to her name saint, notable generosity to the Carthusians, and the foundation of a chantry at Westminster after her son was born there. ['On other occasions she supported planned religious foundations in London, […] made generous gifts to Eton College, and petitioned the pope to extend the circumstances in which indulgences could be acquired by observing the feast of the Visitation']. One possible indicator of a more personal, and more sophisticated, thread in her piety is a book of Hours of the Guardian Angel which Sutton and Visser-Fuchs have argued was commissioned for her, very possibly at her request."
-J.L. Laynesmith, "Elizabeth Woodville: The Knight's Widow", "Later Plantagenet and Wars of the Roses Consorts: Power, Influence, Dynasty"

Okay okay so for a brief period of time I lived in a two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom and eleven people in the house. Which means I know the pain of having to use the bathroom, knocking, waiting, desperately trying not to piss yourself (I was 8 and had a hard time knowing when I had to go so it was nothing or and I HAVE TO GO GO) then SOMEONE ELSE going in the second the leave. Which is definitely something that has happened to each member of the gang at LEAST once.
Dally almost killed the person that stole his damn turn.

but genuinely you can’t be doing the whole ‘oooooh two divorcees looking for emotional connection after heartbreak!’ and ‘I believe in romcommunism’ and ‘is it Ted that Rebecca is texting on banter???’ and ‘watch as they grow independence and self love but constantly with the feeling they’re intertwined in some lovely, chosen way’ just to go ‘actually they never get to together and Ted fucks off back home to the place that is now shaped by not great memories’. The fuck??? I’m bisexual, I was so there for the deeply unlikely TedTrent but I always thought TedBecca would happen because it makes more narrative sense. For two whole seasons they orbited around each other with this impending sense of collision, this hope they could find love in the strangest of conditions, in a stranger they’d never have chosen, only for that to be completely ignored??? This isn’t about ooooh heterosexual couple didn’t kiss (I will die on the bi4bi or at least Bi Ted hill fuck you) it’s about the fact that now, tons of moments are stupid as fuck! You played that with a hint of romance! You played that like something was going to happen! You wouldn’t shut up about Rebecca’s love life and Ted’s need to let go and have somebody else handle it all for him, they seemed made for each other from the start and you went ‘nah fuck it’????? WHAT IS THIS????

Realising the inopportune timing that I set the DTCIYS between Finals Exam Season and *points @ tournament* so. Would it be better to extend the deadline by another 3 weeks or so?
