I did start this whole blog with the dreams of one day being able to draw better equines. So Yes. I did need this.#The true benchmark of my art progress is actually the quality of how I draw Little Apple.#(no seriously go look back at my little apple tag. Then come back here).#Hey welcome back! I know right! What was I even doing at the start? That was *not* a donkey!!!#That aside - I really am thrilled that I can draw her more. Even if she's only *really* in two more comics for season 2.#I wish I had more thoughts here. I'm so distracted by the donkey rotating in my brain. I missed her so monch.#Oh! Yeah I really like the parallels here between WWX and Little apple.#Specifically the sense of how we get a nod to how he's changed.#Little apple and WWX have both grown a little less lean and hungry (one literally the other metaphorically)#This whole episode is basically about WWX's desire for something peaceful and domestic in his life.#and here is little apple - his first companion from the start of his new life - changed to something softer.#Very much a 'look how far we have come moment' that is rather subtle but enjoyable.

you know all of those movies and shows about princesses and twins and twin princesses and swapping places etc etc. well miraculous ladybug is actually also one of those shows, it is just told from the angle of “what if the twin princess was your mom and she gave you so many issues”

#emilie and amelie….spiritual successor to annie and hallie. anneliese and erika.#vanessa hudgens in that one netflix series.#you know how as a little girl sometimes you would wish that it would turn out that you were somehow a long lost princess.#i think when emilie was a little girl she’d wish that somehow she’d swapped places with a normal girl #(but in her mind normal non-princess girls lived idealistic lives where they could go run and be free in the forest and do whatever)#(she had no concept of money or bills or working. she just wanted to be Free)#like anneliese in princess & the pauper singing about how she has so many responsibilities and just wishes she could read science books all #day #that was emilie but about like. i don’t even know. she wanted to like tame a wild horse in the woods #she wanted to paint her nails and listen to loud music and Be Free!!!!#unfortunately for emilie she could NOT possibly have swapped places with a normal girl somewhere because her identical twin was #also a princess. so.#the best emilie could do was dream of Running Away…..Somewhere…#anyway all this to say that a miraculous ladybug prequel show would literally just be one of those twin princess shows and i think we should #talk about that more.#anna rambles #ml

#i often lucid dream during my nightmares and everytime I do the nightmares only tend to get worse #the deconstructed damsel felt so much like that #youre asleep and theres a girl and as you talk to her the more an unsettling feeling grows as the illusion of the dream grows more and more #apparent and she starts to fall apart in your hands and your mind created her but you're not as in control as you wish you were #so you cant save her #because its too late #if only you had stayed asleep #and then the drowned grey route is more like the nightmares that just go YOURE AFRAID OF WATER GO IN THE WATER AND THERES A DEAD BODY AAAAA #thanks for the ask!!! love drawing these ladies #stp #my art #stp damsel #stp drowned grey #slay the princess #ask

#spinda #AAAHHHH YES!!! our belovèd spinda. from their café!!! probably one of my favorite minor characters from pmd sky #whom i don't even think was in the original explorers games. i think spinda's café was exclusive to sky. if i'm remembering correct #ly. or maybe that was shaymin village. i know shaymin village was for sure but maybe it was just that and not both of them. either way #have a delicious drink and allow the flower of conversation to bloom! i could quote spinda all day. he had “hopes and dreams” before toby #ever did. THAT'S ALSO like i had no idea what spinda's pronouns were. i kept trying to figure it out because i talked about him quite a lot‚#but no one in game ever talked about him. to mention his pronouns? turns out. there's ONE line of dialogue where the post office fucker in #shaymin village mentions him and calls him a he. i think that's the only time spinda is referred to in the third person with a pronoun #i believe it's when they're talking about like. how you can send gifts or whatever and pick up the characters' responses at spinda's café #which is still a really fucking good feature. of any video game. SEE WHAT I MEAN spinda and their café is just an incredibly good Thing #it's to the point where my home wifi network is named “Spinda's Café Wi-Fi” because i love it so much. so if you're ever runnin around #and you see a wifi network by that name… it might be me! you never know! or… it could be the real deal. the real spinda's café is somewhere #nearby…! ugh. i wish. i would go there immediately #not even to mention all the other shit about this pokémon that's really good. like that they never walk in straight lines or whatever #their little dance. it's just. huUGHKLJKAHJVDHJHDAJSVGD i love spinda. a nice pick-me-up after the underwhelmingness that was grumpig #shake it this way… shake it that way… and stir it all around… and it's done!
