I didn't actually read that fanfiction but I understand that The Beast (Beast Wirt in this case) actually helps people to find their way home, so I understand why you wanted him to meet this other version of him who does the completely opposite nyehehe!

HI! I want to thank you guys SO MUCH for all the love and support! I'm so glad to see how many people like my lunatic blorbo boy!

And also, I made this little comic from the pov of the victims, so you can actually see a little bit more content of the Hunter AU

The context is not very deep tho. I already mentioned that maybe if Hunter likes you so much he would invite you to the house, but then he would kill you there. In this scenario he invited you to play hide and seek, if you manage to hide for enough time you could go, but if he finds you first, you'll be a lovely ellewood in no time!

Now, don't be mad at him... Wirt is just doing what he must! He isn' t conscious about his wide sinister grin, neither has he noticed the little light that comes from his pupil :)

The little light of his eye is not literal tho, it is a personal effect I put to show how Wirt is losing himself into the unknown

As any mortal, I'm no expert in drawing hands but I did as I can. I didn't make a skecht first, neither looked for reference so it probably has some anatomy errors (sorry!)

Brown eyes and Birthmarks By Warren

“So Wirt, What are we going to do without me next semester?? We don’t have any classes together and I’m kinda worried about you being alone.” Sara said over the ham and cheese sandwich, looking up at the tall slender boy across the table from her. His shoulders sagged as he groaned. 

Wirt pouted and looked at the black-haired girl. “Sara, I'm not a little kid! I’ll be okay. If anything I’ll probably just be left alone. I haven’t been bothered in a while-“ 

“Because of me!” Sara butted in before Wirt looked away. 

A sigh left Wirts lips. “Yea… I guess so. If anything happens, I know the Queen of the Wrestling Team will come to swoop me up and protect me.” Wirt smiled before getting a gentle punch on the arm. 

“You know it! Seriously tho, please keep me updated. I-“ Sara stopped as she heard a yell from the alley. Wirt and Sara quickly abandoned their sandwiches to assist the voice.

The victim spit out some blood from the gnarly bite mark he left. “What do you even want with me, man?!” A higher-pitched voice cracked as pain flooded him from the jab he received in his side.

The leader glared down at him after he shoved a heel into the boy's knee. “Just- Shut up!” The leader screeched as he drew away his hand. The look of anger and pure hatred hit his blonde brows as they furrowed. 

“Hit him in the neck! That’ll make him shut up!” A red-haired lackey chuckled out as he sat on the birthmarked boy's knees.

 “He isn’t even that strong dude!” Two Boys were pinning down the victim, a brown-haired boy with a weird birthmark on his forehead. A black-haired lackey held the victim's arms behind his head. The last lackey was spouting useless words at the two other lackeys while propped against the wall. The birthmarked boy wincing in pain as his arms were held too tightly, pushed too far back for comfort. 

He felt small and weak despite his determination to do this on his own. He really wanted to prove he could do it alone but, he's just one guy. Fear was slowly seeping into his core as he realized he was stuck, he couldn't help himself anymore. This was too much for him. Dirt was pushed up as two figures shadowed them. The group of boys, the victim, included looked up at the voice that broke their engagement. 

“Hey! Get the fuck off him you dunces!” Sara yelled as she stormed up to them, hands on her hips. Three of the boys looked back at her before their eyes widened in shock, but not at her. Wirt had a deathly glare, cold from the gray undertone in his eyes while the brown held a profound horror that shook the boys to their core. 

“H-hey we’re just horsing around!” The leader said, grabbing the redhead on the victim's knees up as the others let the slightly bruised boy go. 

A huff left Sara’s thin lips. “Sure as hell you are. Leave him alone and you won’t get fucked over by us okay?” She smiled but it only made them even more uneasy before they nodded and ran away. She was kind of surprised that’s all it took before she turned around and saw Wirt’s ice-cold glare before it turned gentle again as he grabbed the victim's arm gently.

“Hey- hey, it’s okay…” Wirt said in a soft tone as he let the short male hide in his chest. His thin digits rubbing over deep curls as he sat down in the alley to let the other one crouch between his legs to calm down. Sara smiled as she joined the dirt next to Wirt.

 “We just want to know your name, that alright?” Wirt smiled as he left a hand to rest on his shoulder. 

A shaken cough left the birthmarked boy's lips. “D-dipper. Dipper Pines. Sorry, I-I’m-“ He kept sputtering before Wirt pulled him into a comforting hug. 

“Shh, it’s okay. Relax. Breathe a bit Dipper. We got you.” The tall boy hummed before Sara joined in. 

Her black hair fell to the side as she looked at Dipper. “Yeah no need to worry anymore they’re gone.” After calming down the boy, even just a little, he spoke up. 

“I’m sorry you guys had to help me. If it was only two of them I would have been able to handle them but 4… is a bit much for me…” Dipper sighed before realizing where he was. A quick blush flushed his face and ears before he twisted to sit next to the duo. 

“S-sorry man.” He gestured weirdly before Wirt chuckled. 

Wirt's smile widening at the shorter male. “You’re good, don’t worry. And… Trying not to be nosy but, why were they bullying you?” Wirts head tilted as Dipper groaned. 

“They are just idiots who hate me because I’m better than them in Baseball. And well… I have an insecurity… So it makes for an easy target. Definitely when I have no one around me.” Dipper pushed down his bangs a bit as he looked at the boy and girl beside him. 

An o shape took place of the duo's mouths before looking back at Dipper. “Ahh okay… so that birthmark! I don’t see why they think it’s weird I thought it looked cool as fuck! Like- what?” Sara moved her arms in a way to express how she was confused about a cool thing being seen as weird. Wirt just shrugged at her before giving Dipper his attention again. 

“Have you eaten yet?” Wirt gently said as he remembered his and Sara’s sandwiches.

Wirt looked at Dipper's eyes as they went stern. “Yes,” Dipper said in a deadpan voice, only for the growl of his stomach to betray him. The duo giggled happily before helping the short male up off the dirt.

While walking to the cafeteria Sara looked over at Wirt with a cheshire grin. “Rock paper scissors!” She cheered.

A confused look went to his face as he tiled his head. “For what?” Wirt looked confused as he stared at the shorter girl in front of him.

“Dippers meal of course! He’s not paying after that beating!” Sara expressed as she slouched her shoulders with her hands in front of her.

A laugh left Wirts lips happily as he nodded “Okay, okay. One round though, Loser pays.” The two readied up, Wirts tongue slightly sticking out of his lips as Sara smirked at him.

She blew out a small breath before announcing. “Rock, Paper, Scissors, GO!” She threw out a pair of Scissors as Wirts hand flatted above his other hand. “No!” Wirt yelled, a sigh leaving his lips as the black-haired girl threw her hands in the air.

“Haha! I win! Dippers lunch is on your tab!” She smiled, nudging the taller as he gave a gentle smile to Dipper. Dippers lips failing to smile as he stared at the two new friends hes acquired.

Now at the lunch table with food, Sara leaned forward to stare at the new addition. “So… Dipper, what are your classes next semester?” She asked while sipping her orange juice. Dipper looked at the wrestler before humming. 

The boy pulled the wrinkled paper from his pocket before reading off the list in order. “I have AP Calc, AP Chemistry, and AP English with a Computer Science class. What about you guys?” He hummed as he took a bite of his sandwich. 

“Well, I have Physical Ed, Band, AP Calc, and History.” Sara looked at Wirt as he fidgeted with his last bite of bread. 

Wirt slouched in his seat as he looked at his paper since his memory failed him. “I have AP Calc, Botany, AP English, and Band.” Sara signed and finished her drink. 

“SEE? I have nothing with you guys! I'm all alone! But hey, at least you get Dipper for half the day.” Sara beamed before the trio heard the bell ring. 

A small frown went to Dippers lips at the sound that would separate them all for now. “Yea.. And we still have lunch together next semester. Let's all get together, okay?” Wirt smiled, looking at the new boy they had added to make their Trio. 

“Yea!” Dipper smiled. He wasn't alone anymore. Now he was very content with the way his life was slowly changing, hoping for the days with this new trio to become his normal.

I have always been a fanfiction boy I'm sorry... I don't know many "actual" books... But back in school "Fahrenheit 451" didn't let me sleep lol. It's about a biopolitical government who demands the firefighters no longer stop fires, but start them, by burning books (books are illegal)

It's pretty cool, but if I'm allowed to talk about my favorite fan-fiction, I HAVE to say, "Markdoka Magica!" by @bonkerbuster69 on A03 LIKE. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE READ?!?! IT MADE ME CRYYYYYY!!!!!!! It's about Mark discovering and accepting herself as a trans girl SNIFF SNIFF everyone should read it 😭😭😭

And in second place there's "The perks of being in love" (orphan_account) which is a 2015 fanfic on AO3 about Wirt (Over the Garden Wall) and Dipper (Gravity Falls) and their slow burn romance in highschool GAHH the corniest thing but it low-key made me realize I was on the ace spectrum AND high key was the start of my love for poetry so it kinda had a big impact on my life LMAOO

As for books again, I will say "Dear Evan Hansen" too but just because there isn't a space for "favorite musical" heh

Fave movie:

I don't watch many movies either lol but I have to say Luca (yes, the one from pixar). It brings me the biggest sensation of comfort any sort of media has ever made me feel, and I had a bigg hyperfixation with it for over two years so yeah. It's special.

Honorable mention to The Bad Guys too (I'm not a furry I swear (?))

Fave show:

OHOHOHO!!!! I wouldn't know... Both Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall fight for the first place with fists and teeth. Every time a hyperfixation is over I just go back to them

That's in general. Currently tho, of course I'm OBSESSED with Craig of the Creek and especially the Elders, 1. for the comfort sensation it gives, 2. It's surprisingly funny and 3. The way they approach certain, more serious topics in a friendly way for kids. I love to see it with my lil sister and she loves the show too.

Hmm this year I'm probably going to go as a lady from the 1920s!

(I have finally collected enough pieces to have a 1920s costume: a straw cloche hat with navy blue cording around it, a navy blue 1980s dress that I thrifted and then changed to fit me better (it looks very 1920s in style), low heeled shoes, and a sorta long-beaded necklace (it's the longest one I got). Plus I have a fur coat if it gets cold again this year.)

Although, I will not be wearing that costume to college because I have an art class and I don't want it to get too messy. (I have opted to wear a Halloween themed headband instead).

But usually, I dress up as characters for Halloween :)

Last year I went as "Maximillian (Jenius) Sterling" from Robotech (1985), because my hair was dyed that exact shade of blue of his and was about the same length AND I had blue heart glasses to match the tinted glasses he wears.

The year before that I had gone as Wirt from Over The Garden Wall!

As a kid, I would, in some fashion, dress up as Winnie the Pooh. (I think when I was 9, I just did a red t-shirt and wrote 'Pooh Bear' and made my own Winnie the pooh ears and glued them on a headband because I could not find Winnie the Pooh costumes in my size and didn't know how to sew full-on outfits.)

I think my least motivated costume was when I was around 13 and chose to wear a "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" onesie. Wearing a onesie for Halloween was the cool thing to do for a few years, and I had no other idea of what to dress up as, so my friends talked me into it. Good pjs for later tho

And I pretty much dress up every year for Halloween. The only time I didn't was freshman year of high school because I was A) being socially anxious and felt weird dressing up and B) I had the swim unit for gym class happening that week so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

HMS OTGW AU

Synopsis of the few episodes that i have planned its a lot of text i apologize + i wrote all this very late yesterday so it might be a lil rough lol.

Also I am very very tempted to write chapters on ao3 about this AU, so if you dont want spoilers on it you prolly dont wanna read the rest. Tho I gonna leave some things out just to save that for the fic. (i cant promise that theyll all be written and posted soon but i will try my best)

Episode 7- For Whom The Bell Tolls

Instead of Laura and Aunite Whispers being there, the house is empty and wanting the get away from the cold, they decide to stay for the night. Soul goes out for firewood and leaves the other 2 to clean up and make a place to sleep in for all of them. They've all been getting along from that point so Soul isnt worrided about anything. Things are fine for awhile, but after searcing around, they find the bell from the original episode. But instead whoever holds the bell, can command another to do whatever the holder wants (kinda like the og bell but slight different). It at first goes fine, Hearts mainly just goofing off and messing around with it for a bit. Though, the concept of one controlling the other starts an arguement (like in the album) and without Soul to calm things down, it eventually breaks into a full fight. When Soul finaly gets back, one of them is just about to kill the other (again like the album). Which leads to a similer fight like TSE and The Bidding but now with Soul going with the fact that since they cant get along, they should just go their separate ways and find their own ways out. In the end none of them stay in the house and all go split up into the woods (which is definitely the best idea to do in the dark winter woods)

Episode 8- Cacophony

Instead of the drug trip dream that Greg has, itd just be the 3 of them trying and failing to go through the woods on their own. Each of them eventually having their breakdowns like in THA, TME and TSE. Leaving them all doing horribly mentally and attempting to sleep in the snow. (Like how Wirt and Greg do). Before Soul can (attempt) to rest, The Beast finds him, wanting to do a trade with him. If Soul were to go steal the lanturn from the Woodsman and become the new lanturn bearer, The Beast would let Heart and Mind go free out of the Unknown. And as long as he keeps the lanturn lit, theyd live happily and finally get along. Saying that as soon as hes even being near the Woodsman, they would already be free. The Beast of course is lying, and plans to kill off Heart and Mind and turn them into edelwood trees. Still, Soul has nothing else to go for, and so begins to search for the Woodsman.

Episode 9 - Into the Unknown

Flashback episode bby. I thought about making HMS go relatively through the same thing Wirt and Greg did (minus the whole Sara and school bit since none of the go to high school being like 20ish years old). Then I instead thought of Whole. (ps gonna try and write Whole as a separate person from CJ, since it feels weird to me to write about him so Wholes kinda his own character in this)

On Halloween, Whole would go through a rough day (one that would likely cause him to split into 3). Being frustrated with a lot of things he decides to take a walk to clear his head. Tho the rainy moody weather of *whatever this takes place* doesn't help his mood at all. Hell it makes it worse if anything. Its now night time and he eventually ends at a cemetary (like in the show).

Suprisingly no one is there, so he takes a break from walking by sitting up top a certain garden wall. At this point, this thoughts are getting worse and more depressing (his thoughts are also now spliting into 2 and then 3 voices). He gets knocked outta his thoughts when the rain really starts to pick up. Tries to get down but falls off on the other side onto train tracks. And like in the show, a train starts to head straight down them. Whole (still not in a good state of mind) stays there and waits for it. Its not till he suddenly feels him throwing himself out of the way almost involuntary. (The "Wait, no please wait!" sorta moment by Heart and Mind). And like Wirt and Greg, he falls into the pond/lake and passes out.

Episode 10 - The Unknown

(im using the stuff i typed last night so if it's incomprehensible and stupid, thats why)

Heart and Mind wake up similer to Wirt (in the snow with the edelwood branches on them). Now with clearer head, the both immediately panic worrying where the other 2 have gone and go looking for them. Heart gets disoriented with the harsh snow and winds, since hes ya know, blind, and ends up on the frozen lake in the show. And just as Mind finds him there, like Wirt, Heart falls into the frozen lake. Mind barely saves him and has another mental breakdown. Heart wakes back up in the middle of it and they have a lil bonding moment (they siblings your honor). They eventually get up and search for Soul. When they finally find him, hes like ONE second away from just fuckin murdering the woodsman for the lanturn. (hes given up at living at this point and just wants the best for Heart and Mind so hes like...less sane than usual) The Beast told Soul they should've already been out by now so Soul is now pissed he was lied to. The Beast gives up and decides to kill all three of them and have the (knocked out) woodsman stay at the bearer. Soul tries to fight it with the woodsmans axe but is too weak to do anything. The Beast and grabs the hatchet and throws Soul against the trees, leaving Heart and Mind to fight it themselves. Mind (and Darrell) can barley fight it off while Heart tries to find the not knowing its near Soul. Beast swats Darrell away and slams Mind into the tree, holding him there. Just as its about to wrap him in edelwood, Heart suddenly is like "haha bitch fear me" thinking he has the hatchet then realizing its actually the lanturn. Mind just slays there for a sec just like "god damnit juno you had ONE fucking job" Tho obviously, The Beast gets immediately pissed, not wanting the fire to burn out. Heart goes through the same realization that Wirt went through of "Why do you even care about the lanturn anyway? Its almost like your spirit is...wait" Beast moves, droppig Mind and threatens Heart. Although scared, Heart finally stands up for himself, tired of being ordered around at what to do. After freeing Soul, Mind then steps in front of Heart now protecting them while Soul uses the hatchet to stand back up in front of both of them. Willing to fight for his life again while also being pissed at the Beast for lying to him (also that it thought it could give him a purpose and tell him what hes supposed to be and do. Basically Soul has the realization he has in Two Wuv) Beast panics and tries threatening them/negotiate with all of them to let it live. Of course it doesnt work and they blow out the lanturn. Soul holds Darrell as Heart and Mind work together to hold Soul up as they finally walk out of the unknown.

Whole wakes up in the hospital in a similar fashion that Greg and Wirt do, reassuring close people that hes alright and just accidentally fell. He wants a bit of time to himself tho to comprehend him almost dying and the weird dream he had. Tho just as hes about to be like "twas all a dream" he finds that Darrell is laying next to him in the bed. The nurse saying that the chicken wouldnt leave him no matter what they tried to do. Darrell luckily didnt get too in the way and they figured it was his so just left him there. Whole then is like "yea...i guess he is" while mentally being like "WAIT WHAT THE FUCK HOW IS HE REAL??" The nurse leaves him be and he sits there thinking over everything and decides that he is a lot better mentally since that adventure and is happy his selves have gotten better and in turn he himself has gotten better.

Maybe he can talk to the three of them eventually or he gets inspired and starts making a certain album idk. As a wise man once said

Also had the ideas of 1.Heart and Mind being lost in the unknown with Soul as the woodsman trying to help them get back while also trying to save "Whole's" spirit in the lantern and 2.Heart and Mind are lost in the unknown with Soul being the Beast

sorry for the late response, but i took this too seriously and started going through notes and diaries to find lists

Movies:

Idioot (2011) by Rainer Sarnet. It's an adaptation of dostoyevsky's "the idiot" and it's one of the few movies i can actually call underground, because i've yet to met anyone besides my mom whose actually seen it. I don't like it because of that though, i like it because all of it is shot in a church (even the outdoor scenes) and the ending has gay undertones. it's arthouse, what else do you expect?

Amelie (2001) is one of the few romance movies i like because it's super sweet and has very interesting visuals. and also i saw it before i knew i was aroace so i didn't care about whether or not i like romance.

Knives out (2019) has super cool visuals and also very cool foreshadowing. definitely a movie i watched an explanation of later. not THAT deep though, like you get the message before even finishing it.

Tank Girl (1995) is a fucking comedy and apocalypse masterpiece and no one will convince me otherwise. I do not care about if it's accurate to the comics at all. it's just pure, unfiltered, 90s action. with implied lesbians.

In tandem with the last movie comes Bad Girls (1994), even though this one is a bit less goofy (it does not have kangaroo-man hybrids)

Kill your darlings (2013). i don't even care about the gayness, they went ham with the poetry references. like they explain a technique in poetry and then do that same thing in the movie? fucking beautiful. the soundtrack is also so unique. i could go on about this movie forever.

Birds of Prey, or the fantabulous emancipation of Harley Quinn (2020) is like all of those other superhero action movies, but this time it's For Girls (tm) and i LOVE it because of that. idec about action movies in general, that one just Gets It. Margot Robbie OWNS Harley Quinn for me

speaking of feminist action movies, Mad Max Fury Road (2015) is amazing. it has one of the most unique colour palettes i've seen, because of how much contrast there is. Surprisingly condensed, the action is not spread out at all, gets straight to the point. Also it has like no romance at all.

Shows:

Hannibal (2013-2015) is my number 1, no competition. It's a rom com, it's a thriller, it's horror, it's whatever you want it to be. not gonna say too much, becuase i want you to experience its glory first hand.

pushing daisies (2007-2009) is whimsical, light hearted, fairy-tale like, fluffy, etc. basically the opposite of hannibal, even though both of them are made by Brian Fuller. fun fact: it has the only straight romance i actively root for. they're also asexual because i said so.

I am not okay with this (2020) is another one of those movies you only see in those lists of shows that netflix ended too soon, because it did. it's like netflix said "wait it has LESBIANS? we can't have THAT" which is a shame, because it's a masterfully crafted allegory for grief and depression. and as if THAT wasn't enough, it parodies while ´imitating an 80s high school movie, which gives it this cool aesthetic of the modern day mixed with the 80s.

Over the garden wall (2016). Wirt is a very accurately written teen who i want to be friends with SO BAD, and Greg is somehow even more accurately written because my sister is roughly the same age as him and they are basically the same people. It goes pretty hard with the historical influences, the soundtrack fits it so well and the story is very sweet. i recommend it 👍

So here's what I have in mind for possible dynamics-

AT muses + Wirt: Adventurers who stumble across Robin and her domain, perhaps with varying degrees of what they can tell her about the outside world.

Kris: I also need to replay Delta.rune, but the basic dynamic could be sibling-coded! Robin being a big sister to Kris and they can be Light bringers together.

Zenitsu: Slayer shenanigans. Robin being this cool mentor figure but also banters with Zen when he's being a lil annoying.

Cassidy: assuming they're the ghost child still in the interaction, Robin can communicate with the dead/undead and would want to help Cassidy out in whatever they needed. Maybe they wind up sucked into the Lost Woods or Freddy's does?

Okay, update: I watched it

Overall, fun movie. I ended up not feeling the 3 hours nearly as much as i thought i would. Elijah woods character hasnt completely been sold to me yet. Hopefully on the next one. (And yes ive been calling him elijah wood and not Frodo all this time because it annoys my bf and i find it funny)

Also before i only knew him as Wirt from Over The Garden Wall (go watch that show its stupid good)

There are a lot of tropes/characters that seem super overdone to me. My bf proceeded to explain that many (if not all) of those tropes started here

Legolas and Gimli did almost zero the whole time they were on screen which was a disapointment - they seem fun

You have encountered yourself with the hunter, tho he doesn't seem that terrifying as you have heard of him, in fact, he is actually kinder than you though! He even brought you to his house and gave you some tea, it seems like... He likes you

Okay, explanation here:

Hunter has been alone for many MANY YEARS, with the Beast as the only individual he could talk to. With time, the Beast managed to change Wirt's perspective of people, seeing them as 'things', to feed the lantern with

But even if he is CONSTANTLY fighting it, Hunter craves for any type of affection, to the point he basically seems needy for even the most minimum caring human touch, he gets all blushy for the simple idea of holding hands with someone in a caring way, because the Beast convinced him that was forbidden, it feels like a sin wishing for love from other people

So if you manage to make him like you... He would not let you go. Hunter wants to keep you because he has been giving all to the Beast, his brother, his identity, his entire life, Wirt wants to have his own things too... He reclaims you as his property, because if you don't belong to him then you'll belong to The Beast, and if you belong to the Beast then Hunter will have to cut you to serve you for the Beast, and he doesn't want to hurt you at all. So in a desperate act he traps you inside the house

Hunter thinks he is protecting you, guiding himself by the feelings of needing human touch rather than the logic The Beast managed to twist so badly. He would take care of you, of course, as he already does that with Greg, but with just the difference that he would be constantly going back to the house and spend the rest of the time by your side or even hugging you all the time.

Of course, it depends on how it is the person like, Hunter doesn't necessarily have to fall in love with you (Tho in the comic I made is that case) if you are smaller than him Hunter could want to adopt you as his new sibling, but he WON'T get all blushy and messy as in the comic but more calm and caring, putting himself into the hardest MOM MODE ever

Tho, the whole situation of him wanting a person to stay so bad is actually a very RARE occasion, more if you are around his age or older. He tends to sympathize with children, he just scares them and lets them go, Hunter is not willing to hurt an innocent kid around Greg's age, so Hunter bringing them to his house to take care of them is more possible than him cutting them.

I just made this comic to explore the concept of Hunter being a completely possessive boy under a """romantic"""" tone because most of you guys like this bastard so- yeah

my @mcytblraufest gift for @whoretimeswithscar! an over the garden wall au with mcyt characters! if youre unfamiliar, over the garden wall is a cartoon starring two brothers, wirt and greg, who find themselves lost in a place called the unknown and try to find their way around home, meeting many people including someone called the woodsman and a talking bluebird named beatrice.

starring: wilbur as wirt, the older brother; tommy as greg, the younger brother; grian as beatrice, the bluebird but as a parrot, + other cast and stuff under the cut! cause i made a BUNCH for this apparently.

charlie slimecicle as jason funderberker the frog! he's basically the brothers' pet frog, and he gets a musical number in one of the episodes!

AND a bunch of screenshot redraws from the opening sequence (on youtube, also dont watch after the title card at abt 45 secs in if you dont want spoilers from the end)

although i think the next stuff do have some spoilers for some characters

okay really going into spoiler territory here for the characters:

wilbur and tommy are wearing lmanburg/or just revolution uniforms in general as halloween costumes! wilburs are too short on him, and tommys are too big. tommys wearing red rainboots cause he doesnt have fancy ones like wilbur already had.

charlies just a slimy frog with glasses. no one knows how they stay there, there's no tape or anything. also he has. teeth. no reason at all tbh, and he also doesnt speak yet like in canon aside from the musical numbers.

grian as beatrice! i mean, he does seem like the type to get his family cursed because of shenanigans.

joe hills as quincy endicott and zombie cleo as margueritte grey! i really like this idea hehe. the premise of endicotts episode is that hes an eccentric lonely rich guy with a huuuge mansion who thinks is haunted, or that he might just really be going mad. turns out that his mansion was just so huge that he didnt realize that it was two mansions joined together, and that the resident of the other mansion, margueritte grey, was the ghost he thought he was seeing, and also thought he was a ghost. so like shenanigans with joe and cleo lmao.

stress as auntie whispers and gem as lorna! lorna is a young sick girl who lives with auntie whispers, but turns out her sickness was an evil spirit possessing here and forcing her to devour people, she didnt know tho i think and thought auntie was evil and forcing her to do chores. auntie whispers was like a really creepy evil looking old woman but turns out she was nice, just evil and creepy looking.

bad as the woodsman and skeppy as the woodsmans daughter! and dream as the beast. the beast was this.. idk he was the beast. an evil spirit taking children lost in the woods? the woodsmans daughter had gotten lost in the woods and the beast told the woodsman that the lantern contained his daughters soul, and he had to keep it lit of else his daughter was dead forever by chopping edelwood trees and turning them to oil as fuel. and then turns out the beast was just tricking him

also! the unknown is like, im pretty sure is supposed to be the afterlife? or like limbo, or as u had mentioned in your request notes, dantes inferno! when you mentioned dantes inferno, and limbo, and cool imagery, otgw was the first thing that came to my mind! i had just watched this one video essay about otgw being a modern retelling of dantes inferno before i recieved your request lol. cause wirt and greg were supposed to be drowning while they were in the unknown i think.

also!! for the first drawing, the scene is like, not rly anything specific for the show, i just thought it looked cool. and i somehow had the idea to. make it a painting. again. against all previous experiences of paintings being absolute slogs to finish. they almost always just reach the point of i dont even want to look at this anymore its good enough, but im really love how this one came out!

i had a few other au ideas i was thinking of before i did this one, i didnt manage to do them mostly bc it was always like. wayyy out of my artistic skills and also i didnt know how to make them make sense or execute them well enough.

previous ideas included: some sort of adventure story/comic/chose your own adventure/small rpg/point and click adventure/idk of limbo and exploring people's limbo, such as wilbur in the train station, schlatt in the gym, tommy in a void, grian in the middle of 3rd life and last life, etc. and the vibes i was looking for like victorian impossible mansion with shifting rooms or smth and also these kinds of stuff like a small pixel art point and click exploring of limbos

and also an ibong adarna au (????) its a filipino story of a prince journeying to capture the legendary bird, ibong adarna, to cure his sick father, and he had two older brothers who also failed bc they werent kind to a beggar in the street who turned out to be a sorcerer(?). basically, wilbur, techno, and tommy as the princes, with tommy as the youngest who succeeded bc he was kind, charlie as the ermitanyo/beggar?? and grian as the bird?

i agree, the shift SHOULD be gradual. But also not. They’re becoming friends again easily and hanging out all the time and Remus is for sure just friends with James whereas James is panicking about falling for Remus again and ruining their new friendship. And then one day Remus wakes up and oh he’s fallen in love with James because of course he has. And James was basically falling the entire time so.

(i love remus in denial and james finding remus attractiveeee. but also I want james to be flustered over remus’ personality being hot too, if that makes sense 😭)

i would love to write their wedding 😭 I COULD MAKE IT HALF MUGGLE CIVIL PARTNERSHIP AND HALF HINDU WEDDING (my friend told me the weddings are called vivaha but she could’ve been lying, so i’d need to research). cause then it’d remus and james, and just personally I headcanon remus as atheist so- but he’d love to do a wedding for james’ culture for sureeeee.

YES YES I WILL. Okay ppl say viktor and jayce are regulus and james but they’re not they’re remus and james. in arcane, their country is split in two, Piltover (rich) and Zaun/Undercity (Poor) this is relative obviously as there are rich in the poor area and poor in the rich. Point is, an old war meant the two districts split and now they hate each other. And the people in Zaun struggle a lot for food and stuff and in the show there’s a drug epidemic that goes round. Jayce is from piltover, not the highest in society but semi respected. He is a genius who wants to invent magic using technology because when he was a child his mother and him were saved from death (they got caught in a snowstorm) by a wizard/dude with magic.

magic is feared but jayce really wants to make it. his lab is broken into and his work (which wasn’t approved, ie illegal) was discovered and he was taken to the council room where he was stripped of his work. When hes looking at everything hes lost and considering suicide, Viktor walks in. Viktor is from the undercity, a few years old than jayce and also very smart. He sees Jayce’ genius and helps him break into the room that his work was locked in to retrieve it and work in secret. They do and they figure out the missing piece or whatever and invent hextech. A thousand year old council member then tells them to destroy it because it looks dangerous, but jayce ignores this, because everyone fears magic.

He ends up integrated into high society as him and Viktor attempt to build the “hexgates” an invention that will practically be a portal to other lands so piltover can be rich in trade again. He’s named the golden boy and piltover becomes the land of progress. Viktor hides, Jayce wants to announce him as his partner but Viktor hates the attention, he’s from the undercity and has a disability, he needs a crutch to walk and is getting progressively sicker and sicker (side note arcane does disability representation soooo well there’s so many characters and I-). Jayce always said his plan was to help the people of the undercity, but everyone else encourages him to make weapons (except for viktor and mel, I haven’t explained her but I can laterrrr). Viktor hates weapons, fully and completely. He’s a caring person tied to the human experience. And he’s dying. Viktor is found sick and Jayce cried by his side in bed. Viktor goes on to discover that the arcane can cure injuries, cure dying things. It can help so many people, heal the world, and then Jayce goes “it can save YOU.” but viktor doesn’t think he can finish it in time. Long story short jayce gets caught up in council shit and makes a hammer which he uses to try and stop a rebel uprising in the undercity cause a character called jinx did a giant attack on piltover. He kills a child with the hammer by accident. Viktor tries to use the arcane to heal him and then he like, absorbs part of the arcane, and then it kills his assistant Sky. Jayce comes to his senses a bit, promises viktor he’ll destroy the arcane (who’s terrified cause it killed sky and he cares abt ppl) and tries to come to a civil negotiation to end the war. Then this jinx character (who is fascinating btw) comes back and sends… basically an atomic bomb, at the council room of piltover which kills most of the members. Mel has magic powers she didn’t know abt and that’s how she and jayce survive. Viktor is there and he doesn’t.

Jayce doesn’t destroy the arcane he uses it to try and heal viktor. OMG ok that’s s1. there’s two seasons. i’m getting soooo off track. They’re variants of moonchaser cause 1. personality. 2. vibe.

I kinda wanna keep going, it gets crazier, viktor tried to heal ppl but goes insane and becomes a god and then jayce has to kill but after failing confesses his love instead and that’s the whole of s2 but if ur invested I shall explain i’m immense detail :)

⭒ Please play with his hair, he certainly just MELTS at your touch. You can put it into little braids, or ponytails (he thinks it's funny when you do the thing where you make one little ponytail in the front so it kinda looks like he's a unicorn), whatever you want tbh! He really likes it when you run your fingers through his hair because that's very comforting and relaxing to him, and if you're lucky enough he might just fall asleep right there haha. ~A bonus to this headcanon~ He likes doing your hair as well! And he knows what he's doing because he has little sisters and he does their hair for them either when their mom is busy and can't do it at the moment or because they ask him to. And don’t forget he likes head pats too, he thinks it’s adorable when you give him one especially if you’re shorter than him and have to stand on you’re tiptoes to reach his head and he always loves giving some to you as well.

⭒ AKSJFBS him teaching you the drums like how Charlie was teaching Nick in Heartstopper tho!! He would try not to get flustered about it but he got flustered anyway.

⭒ Speaking of that, he gets flustered pretty easily even when you are already dating or if you subtly flirt with him because honestly, this is all kinda new to him. Kiss him on the cheek and he'll be all smiles for a long time, kiss him on the lips and he will act confident about it but when you pull away you'll notice that he's blushing profusely and it just gets worse if you giggle at him afterward or point it out.

⭒ He really likes animals and he would have a soft spot for "all the little guys" as he likes to call them like hamsters, birds, amphibians, and reptiles. Also, if you're wondering if he's more of a cat or dog person, I feel like he would love cats... but I have a slight feeling he is a little bit more of a dog person. He would fall in love with your pet especially if you had a dog, and double points if it was a big one.

⭒ He likes to go on movie dates (you two did this a LOT when you first started dating) when it's rainy or when you guys are bored. Though he really likes to explore the outdoors with you rather than indoor dates (even though he adores those too) and though he can't really afford it, he would love to take you to Oregon, California, or possibly somewhere tropical like Hawaii or Bali someday to enjoy more special outdoor dates.
