I think they should let you request music in clubs if they don't already. I'm just assuming that they usually don't

#just because i think that the DIVELA remix of Meltdown would do numbers #if i were drunk at a club and it came on i think that would be a religious experience for me #i just forgot how much i really like this song #its vocaloid did i mention that #i think they should play vocaloid in clubs #that would be a great idea #maybe this isnt club music its rave music #i dont know i dont think so #but maybe #i havent been to one of either of those places #does a rave count as a place #i feel like its more of a thing #unless theres a place that regularly has raves take place there #i want to go to a rave #but i think that would be a sensory nightmare #i should dj at a club id be great at it #(says a guy with absolutely 0 experience)

Happy new years… let’s stay hydrated together ✨

#I didn’t end up going to the rave just stayed in with my buddies and had KFC (( Korean fried chicken )) and laughed til we cried so #it was still a wonderful start to the new year 💞🥰💞#but the fwb wanted pics of my potential rave look so I figured eh I brought the stuff anyways #and now I’m imagining locking eyes with a stranger on the warm and writhing dance floor #the beat thumps and shakes and rattles the air in our breath as the spotlights dance in the reflections of our held gaze #he pushes his way through the crowd with a singular stare and a wicked smile on his face #I smile and turn my back on him arching myself so he knows I am giving what he’s looking for #I take careful steps through the revelry toward the edge where the crowd thins out #I prop myself up on an available stool in a lonely corner of the club as he closes the distance between us #“now I wonder why you dragged me all the way here” he utters in a playful growl “trying to get far away from the crowd?”#I smile and I nod. “obviously. can’t really do what I want with you out there”#his eyes perk up and his smile gives away the desire building inside him. “yeah? why don’t you show me then.”#“I thought you’d never ask” I smirk. Zurika likes sparklies and daggers.#Zurika and Rave both like parkour though. Parkour; and Going Fast 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️#Zurika is plenty smart too - she just doesn't like books that much. Never really understood when people say it's "gatekeeping" to say the only true qualification for being a member of a hobby or art subculture is enjoyment of whatever the core hobby or art is, like, that is the absolute least pretentious and gatekeepy mertric for membership you could possibly establish. Like I'd even say it's sacrificing a lot of nuance specifically for the sake of inclusivity. Why would you see this and say you're still being gatekept when the actual issue is that you don't even like the thing you're demanding to be included in? I don't get it

#talk #This is about music subcultures but it's also specifically about like. Raves. Why would you want to call yourself a raver if you don't #go to raves...? It's not a judgement I just really don't understand what you think the word means #You can adopt any aesthetic signifiers you want I actually think it's awesome I love art that takes inspiration from other art and I don't #think it's lesser #But you don't have to be a raver to wear neon and kandi and furry legwarmers and stuff you can just do that !
