I love Vassago and want more of him.

That aside.

What could it be?

1. They could be family. After all, they are kinda physically similar and Stella and Andrealphus are brothers and are different kind of birds but similar. Their powers are also similar, Vassago can make light and stars, Stolas is rocks and that star sky thing. So, yeah, that checks.

2. Vassago is Stolas fan for some reason. I added this because I think is funny if Vassago has some kind of one sided parasocial fan thing for Stolas. The confused look of Stolas and the rest of the Goetias when Vassago was hyping Stolas is the only reason I thought about this.

3. Distant crush from younghood but he knew Stolas was arranged to marry and didn’t knew S is gay, so he gave up on that but still has him in high regard and think he deserves to be heard.

4. Distanced friends in high school years (I know they probably don’t go but in royalty they probably have things to prepare young royals).

While I think all these theories people say are interesting… I think that they don’t know each other very well. Similar to how Asmodeus and Stolas adressed themselves. Like, they know each other and have mutual respect but that’s it. They could be close family: brother, cousin or very distanced friends of the past. I would see something happening and maybe Andrealphus getting in the way and preventing them to be friends.

My interpretation and theories about the trial:

Vassago felt identified with the situation itself, and is not just because he is close to Stolas.

I think this because:

Stolas has been very lonely his entire life. However we don’t know anything from his teen years or his early adulthood. So, it could be that in those years they met but I don’t think they were ever close friends, but they caused a good impression to the other.

Stolas is kinda shocked when Vassago says: “ Yes yes Cántalo baby”. I don’t know if he reached like that because of how unexpected the hyping was, or because he doesn’t know him much? I found hilarious he is such a Stolas hype man.

Vassago is very concerned when Blitzø is sentenced to death. He is not as sad and devastated after Stolas lies and confesses, but he is worried and feels something is very wrong.

I feel this moment is very important

This is not brought up much, but he looks very conflicted about this entire situation. If he believed Blitzø trully wanted to murder Stolas and steal the Grimoire he wouldn’t have look so conflicted, and the thing is, he won’t believe anything until he hears Stolas.

This shows:

He thinks the trial should be fair and have both parts.

He thinks Stolas has another different story.

He doesn’t have the same race biases than the rest of the people in the jury and the other Goetias. (Not saying that he is super deconstructed, but at least, has less biases than most).

I will focus in this last point.

The other two people that spoke were Ozzie and Bee. Two people that are romantically involved with lower class demons, and well, obviously Stolas lol.

This could mean that Vassago had a past relationship with an imp or other class demon. This would follow the trend of all the people that spoke and said something.

Also, I have been thinking about this, but Vassago es seemingly a pirate. Piracy besides being related to Stolitz and treasures, is also related to travel far away and leave societal expectations. Is an environment when he could have had a secret partner and nobody would easily know about it if he travels a lot.

The traveling would also explain why he probably is mostly far away and Stolas doesn’t seem him very often.

Apparently Viv has liked a tweet about Vassago seeming to care so much for Stolas, and that it feels personal. And yeah, it does indeed feel personal. It really does make me wonder, why is it so personal to Vassago? What’s his relationship with Stolas?

You'd been friends with Luke Hughes for almost as long as he'd been in New Jersey, both of you new to the city at the time had stumbled into each other quite literally one wintery afternoon. Your coffee going all over his hoodie, his doughnut squishing chocolate icing over your sweater. You'd expected him to yell, instead you learnt that day how utterly sweet and kind Luke Hughes was. He replaced your coffee and refused to let you buy him a new doughnut, but did let you invite him over so you could put some stain remover on his hoodie.

You might be thinking, 'are you crazy? Inviting a strange man to your apartment?', but you can only explain your risk through two pieces of information: 1) You knew roughly who he was. You weren't a fan of his by any means but you followed Hockey and had heard about the newest addition to the Devils, so you at least knew he wasn't a criminal, 2) Luke Hughes had been wearing snoopy socks and something about that had screamed 'non-threatening'.

Looking back it was probably slightly insane on your part, but it bagged you a close friend who you may or may not have had a massive crush on, so you couldn't really say you regretted risking it.

It wasn't unusual for Luke to phone you after a game, more often than not you got a quick phone call or a few texts sent through while he was out celebrating or commisserating with the team, often being invited out even when he knew you weren't much for late nights out on the town.

It was unusual though for that phone call to come in at 1 in the morning while you were sleeping.

You're groggy and half awake, hand patting the bedside table until you grip your phone, Luke's ringtone blarring through the speakers only because he was one of your few exceptions. One of a handful of people who could call you after 11pm without being sent straight to voicemail, the others being your family.

"Lukey? It's..." You stop to squint at your alarm clock, "1:41 in the morning, what's wrong?" You knew the game had ended late, but Luke should have been in bed by now or he should have been out partying with Jack and the boys, definitely not phoning you. You half expected him to be drunk on the other end of the line, maybe having phoned you while out with the team.

Instead his breath is shaky on the other end of the line, voice raspy like he's been crying and that's what has you sitting upright and swinging your legs out of bed before he even finishes his question.

"Can- Can you come over please?" His voice is scratchy and strained, a rasp that sounds defeated. You don't even considering getting changed from your pajamas, you just throw a jacket on from your closet.

"Yeah, yeah, of course, what's wrong?"

"Just...just come over please, angel" You're quick timing it as you shove your feet in a pair of shoes and grab your keys off the side, locking your apartment door behind you. It didn't matter to you that it was nearly 2am or that you hadn't brushed your hair or that you were half-asleep, all that mattered was Luke and the way he sounded like the world might be just a little too much for him right now.

"Okay, okay, want me to stay on the line?"

"No, just...drive safe?" You pause in the hallway, heart hurting at his concern, that even now when he's begging for your help he cares that you're safe.

"Yeah, course, Lu, i'm leaving right now, sweetheart." He lets out a shuddering breath on the line, right before he hangs up and you're certain you might cry because God, Luke shouldn't sound like that, so utterly defeated, so fragile.

You do your best to honour his request on the drive to his and Jack's apartment, even as you want to break a hundred traffic laws just to get there sooner, but you don't. It doesn't take long, but ten minutes feels like one hundred when all you want is to be see Luke and make sure he's okay.

He's at the door from the first knock and you don't say anything, just take him in. His tall form hunched at the shoulders like he's trying to hide within his hoodie, hood pulled over his head and eyes red rimmed, blotchy. There are dark, deep circles beneath his eyes and his lip is bruised and split, a few neatly placed stitches holding it together.

You don't say anything, just step forward and wrap him in your arms as best you can, tiptoeing to press your chin to his shoulder, arms tight around him as if you can protect him from whatever is going on in his head.

He grasps as you like you're a lifeline, fingers digging into your jacket, face pressed so tight to the crook of your neck that you're certain he'll fuse there.

He doesn't protest when you pull him into his apartment, door slamming shut. Doesn't protest when you pull him to his room, asking where Jack is, only to get a short clipped reply of 'club'. Doesn't protest when you sit him on his bed and join him, shoes being kicked off. It's not until you try to pull away from him that he really seems to come to life, hands grasping you firmer, pulling you back, "Don't go, please don't go..."

"'m not going anywhere, Lu, it's okay..." You pull back just enough that you can pull his hood back, fingers carding through his brown curls gently like he might break. "What happened?"

"Just needed you..." His face presses back into your shoulder as your fingers work through his hair like it's a perfectly normal thing to say to your best friend, like he didn't call because he had a shit game, because he doesn't want to talk about it."

"Lu...talk to me, baby"

There's a stark silence, broken only by a shaky breathe that comes from Luke as if the idea of talking is enough to make him cry for the second time that night. "I'm...i'm not good enough for the team, did a shit job tonight and we lost...it's my fault. Played like shit."

"What did Jack say?" You're gentle with it, soft voice, soft fingers on the nape of his neck. It's silly, he knows he's being dramatic, he also knows that it's not a friend thing to do. Knows he wouldn't call any of his other friends at near 2am because he needs them, knows he wouldn't beg for their fingers in his hair to sooth him or feel better just by the smell of their laundry detergent and shampoo. Luke knows he called you because he loves you, pretty sure he loved you the moment you excitedly showed him you'd gotten the coffee stain out of his UMIC hoodie.

"I was being too hard on myself, that it wasn't the 'Luke Hughes show'." He immitates Jack's voice, a pouty sort of tone riding his voice because he knows his brother is right even if he refused to sit moping with him and went out drinking instead.

"He's right. Hockey is a team sport, Luke, you aren't even on the ice the entire time! You do not get to decide that you're the reason a game is won or lost, you don't get to shoulder that."

"But.." Your palms cup his face, pulling him up to look at you. Your face is dead serious brows furrowed, lips pursed.

"No, you're a good hockey player. They picked you to play for them because of what you bring to the table and maybe you didn't play your best tonight , but you deserve to be on the team. You can't always be at 100." Your thumbs brush his cheeks under his eyes, like you might be able to wipe away the dark bags there. He looks worn, exhausted, tears just welling in those green eyes of his.

You're not entirely sure he believes you, "If I said I wasn't good enough because I had a bad day at work, what would you say to me?"

"To shut up and stop being mean to yourself..." Luke frowns at you like you're insane for even suggesting something like that, and it's what makes you smile for the first time that night, as if to say I told you so.

"Exactly, so stop being mean to yourself, Lu. You're amazing, i'm always in awe of how you skate..." You brush a curl from his eyes and watch them flutter closed slightly, throat tightening a little because you know this isn't the way you're supposed to feel about your best friend.

"Really?"

"Really..." You watch him carefully, the way he just leans more into your hands like he trusts you entirely to hold him up, the deep swelling of his lip, the beauty marks across his cheeks. "What do you need from me, right now?"

He takes a moment, like the words are stuck on the tip of his tongue whether unsure of how to ask or worried to make things weird. Both of you always toeing the line between friends and something decidedly more romantic.

"Can...can you just hold me? Just stay the night?" He blinks up at you with such big sweet eyes that you're not sure anyone would be able to refuse him, so you don't.

"I can do that."

You treat him delicately, like he's not a nearly 200 pound hockey player that regularly gets body slammed against boards and ice, who's covered in bruises and currently sporting a split lip. You pull him to lie down with you, curling around him like a protective blanket, pulling his face back into the crook of your neck, legs twisting with his. It's definitely not what friends do, but it's what he needs, so he grips you back tight, presses his face firmly into your neck and pulls your leg over his hip to be as close as possible.

You don't move more than the brush of fingers through his hair or down his arm, across his back. Even when you can hear soft snores, the sign of him having fallen asleep, you don't move because as much as Luke said he need this, you kind of need this too.

There's only so much a fan could get to experience, but there's an unhealthy amount of delusion if you think a random number written by your idol on your wrist means anything at all. Give it a call?

“Any scoop on the troupe? And by that I mean the dance troupe. And by that I mean the dancer. And by that I mean Ni-ki. And by that I mean—”

Your best friend burst into your bedroom, her infectious grin lighting up the space as she flopped down onto your soft bed without a hint of hesitation.

“Yah! You can’t just enter a man’s bedroom!” You exclaimed, flinching at her sudden leap across the room.

“A man?!” she shot back playfully, her eyes sparkling. “You’re not just any man, you’re THE man!”

With an exaggerated roll of your eyes, you settled back onto your warm mattress, attempting to tame your disheveled hair, which had been ruffled by her enthusiastic entrance.

“And why is that?” you challenged, trying to keep your composure. “I could do anything to you.”

“Well, don’t do it to me!” she laughed, shoving you playfully. “Do it to Ni-ki!” She squealed as she grabbed pillows, playfully smothering your face with them.

“Hey, hey!” you protested, struggling to push her away. “You heard me through the walls, didn’t you?!”

“What? Am I not allowed to listen in on my own house?” She batted her eyelashes innocently. “You’re lucky I’m shipping you two!”

Groaning, you leaned back on the bed. “Listen, I really don’t understand it.” You sighed heavily, the weight of the conversation settling in. “I don’t think it’s that serious.”

She turned her body toward you, her brow arched in disbelief. “You best believe it is.”

“It’s not,” you insisted, shaking your head. “He’s an idol. Plus, he’s too young AND too famous.”

Your best friend let out a melodious chuckle, shaking her head in amusement.

“What?” you retorted, feeling defensive.

“You’re only three years older, okay?” she pointed out, her voice teasing. “And for the popularity problem, I don’t think he cares anyway.”

“He’s an idol,” you replied, looking away, the weight of your words hanging in the air. “He should.”

She moved closer, resting her head on your shoulder, her voice softening. “Just test the waters. I’m sure he’s just looking for someone, and he found you at the right moment.”

Your mind wandered back to the memory of Ni-ki holding your hands tightly, and a flutter of hope stirred within you.

“Good point,” Sunoo pouted, contemplating. “Maybe their school is a bit different? It is Seoul, after all.”

Unbothered, Ni-ki bit his lip, lost in thought as he envisioned seeing you again. His heart raced at the prospect. Moving his legs quickly, he could almost picture seeing your golden smile. Yeah, that's what he's calling it.

"Hey, stop that." Jake muttered as he lifted the eye cover from his face.

Ni-ki acted as if he couldn't hear Jake's plea. The older rolled his eyes and forced an arm to stop the younger's leg.

"No! I swear to god-"

"Oh, he's awake!" Jungwon looked over to the back, where Ni-ki and Jake sat together. Seems like Jake had been napping for quite a while.

"Ugh, yeah." Jake fixed bits of his hair to the side, revealing his sleepy set of eyes wondering around the van. "This guy ruined it with his leg yapping. What's up?"

"Is it fine if we drop Ni-ki at Yanghoon State?" Jungwon asked as he held his phone. For reference, you shared the location of your school to Ni-ki. Of course, Ni-ki could only keep that information to himself for a while, before Jake swatted his phone and sent the pinned location to their group chat.

"Oh? Yeah." Jake moved an inch closer towards the other boys. "We'll just have to keep an eye when PD-nim needs us for backup or anything."

Jake looked at Ni-ki with a sharp edged look. "You better be proper. You're missing our bro night for this."

"You're not the leader." Ni-ki grinned.

"Hey! I'm still older!" Jake jabbed Ni-ki's shoulder.

The manager raised his hand in acknowledgment. Ni-ki’s eagerness to see you excited the whole group, even the higher-ups, despite the risks involved.

“Do we still need the rental car?” Ni-ki asked, scratching his head. “Can’t we just use this van?”

Heeseung sighed, chuckling. “Bro, you already made such a big fuss in the company. Just bear with the car.”

Ni-ki swiped his hair to the side in mock frustration, realizing that his plan to impress you with the company van had come to a halt.

“He’ll love you driving a Civic,” Jake teased.

“Hyung, I can’t drive,” Ni-ki replied, exasperated.

“Oof, I feel like you’re getting UN-cooler by the minute.”

“Aish!” Ni-ki shoved Jake away playfully.

“Who’s the girl anyway?” the manager asked, curiosity piqued.

Everyone’s heads turned toward Ni-ki, who suddenly wore a serious expression. “It’s a he, okay?” he stated, emphasizing the words.

Jungwon tapped Ni-ki’s leg, smiling reassuringly. “Hey, it’s cool. He just asked.”

“Oh? Who’s the guy? I’ve only ever heard your bandmates talk about his school,” the manager said innocently, eliciting a glare from Ni-ki.

“A cool teacher he met!” Sunoo chimed in, raising his hand enthusiastically. “Ni-ki just wanted to see where he worked.”

“Must be a close friend,” the manager remarked, his grin widening. “We’re here, by the way.”

Ni-ki beamed at the news while his bandmates quietly cheered him on. As he stepped out of the van, he couldn’t shake the image of your smile from his mind.

God, he’ll be so happy, Ni-ki thought, a wave of anticipation washing over him.

“Caps! Shades! Mask!” the manager commanded, snapping Ni-ki back to reality.

“Oh, right.” Ni-ki quickly grabbed his disguise—shades and a mask—to shield himself from the public eye. After all, he was a famous idol.

Moments later, he waved goodbye to his bandmates, who drove away swiftly with their other manager.

“I’m going to find the car we rented. Should be around here somewhere. I’ve got the keys, so you just stay here,” the manager instructed firmly.

"Got it." Ni-ki nodded. As he watched the manager leave, Ni-ki couldn't stand still at his current position. His feet jerked way too many times as he anxiously waited for the car.

Today, he only planned to get a glimpse of you. But it would be much better if he gets to interact with you ... and see your smile yet again. Ni-ki vould only blush and look down on his feet as he thought of it.

To his surprise, Ni-ki turned his head as he heard the school chimes. It wasn't a big school, but it surely looked prestigious. The design of the school was an older Neoclassical style, with a large bell tower that survived wars since its been built.

Of course, Ni-ki couldn't have ever known these facts if he wasn't intent on listening to every detail you shared with him. During your calls, he can only memorize all the things you've said to him. That's how you've been occupying his mind. Just a total overload of your voice fills his heart with bliss and warmth. Totally whipped as one would say.

In no time, students of all ages began to pour out of the gates—young kids chattering with friends, slightly older students engaged in lively conversations, and older students lounging around, soaking in the afternoon sun.

Ni-ki reminisced the times when he went to school too. Seeing all the kids there reminded him of his young social life, where he would often participate in events and talk to many people, whether they were his own age or not.

This made Ni-ki smile, remembering how fun it was when he wasn't such a busy idol.

But you know who made him smile even bigger? The sight of you, conversing with your co-teachers as you got out of the school doors. You wore a nice set of casual slacks that complemented your figure, and you had a comfy and fuzzy turtleneck that covered your otherwise impressive frame. To him, it looked like you were covered in marshmallows.

As you gazed around the school yard, you waved goodbye to your students. It was fun seeing them so involved in your class, and you couldn't be happier seeing them interact so happily with their other peers. It fulfills you, as you exhibit the life of an educator. Even though you still had so much you can dream, but can't even think of how it'll work out.

As you thread on the concrete path you stepped on, you thought of wanting to eat something from the local convenience store. A packed burrito? A sliced bread? Or a serving of dumplings? What would best satisfy you as you waited for the bus?

"Aw...” you exclaimed, scratching your head in surprise as you bumped onto a passerby. “Sorry, I—”

“No worries. I did that on purpose,” came the familiar, playful voice.

You looked up, and your heart raced as you met Ni-ki’s gaze, his handsome face adorned with a wide grin.

“Hi,” he beamed, a light of mischief in his eyes.

Your eyes widened in disbelief. “You!”

“Yeah, me—”

“Damn you and your face!” You exclaimed, instinctively shoving your hands toward him, playfully pushing him back as he stumbled slightly.

“Are you crazy? There are people around!” you admonished, your arms resting on the wall, effectively cornering him.

“Sorry. I just can’t help myself,” Ni-ki smirked, clearly enjoying the flustered state he had put you in.

“You...,” you started, trying to maintain your composure. “You know you’re famous, right?”

“I don’t really care,” he replied nonchalantly.

“I do!” you shot back, meeting his cheeky gaze. “Are you always this much of a headache to your bandmates?”

Ni-ki raised an eyebrow, mock contemplation on his face. “Hmm, let me see if I’m really that silly.”

“My point is, this is a public place!” you insisted, feeling your cheeks warm.

Ni-ki held your hands gently, grounding you as he leaned in closer. “Sorry. Should’ve told you,” he said, his smile disarming.

“Aish,” you sighed, running a hand through your hair. “I’m just your friend. Is it really worth all this trouble to see me?”

Ni-ki straightened up, his expression turning sincere. “I said I want to be closer.”

You looked away, trying to suppress the fluttering in your heart. “You did.”

“I said I want to see you often.”

“Yeah,” you murmured, feeling vulnerable under his gaze.

“Can’t I make that effort?” Ni-ki’s eyes were unwavering, and you felt your resolve weakening.

You stammered, “I—I mean…”

“I just wanted to see you again. Is that so bad?” he asked, sincerity radiating from his every word.

At that moment, you felt the walls you had built around your heart crumbling. You sighed, knowing you couldn’t resist his charm any longer.

“You look cute,” Ni-ki complimented, his gaze warm and inviting.

You blushed fiercely. “You’re... unbearable.”

Ni-ki chuckled, tightening his grip on your hands. “Then learn to bear with me.”

You looked into his eyes, realizing that perhaps this was the beginning of something beautiful.

“Because I won’t be going anywhere.”

A - Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think he'd be that bad at aftercare. He's not amazing at it don't get me wrong, but he's not gonna just leave you alone with nothing. He definitely might offer you some sort of drug he's got on his roster, but I believe he'd clean you up and make sure that you're feeling okay and get confirmation that he wasn't too rough with you.

the hardcore "he's never done anything wrong in his life" stans will act like it's outrageous that rook and their companions aren't constantly making excuses for solas and the fans completely ignore the context through which these characters know him. they know him as the guy trying to destroy the world. the guy who killed varric and betrayed the inquisitor. the guy who committed a genocide. no matter how polite and contrite about it he seems, he's still someone that is active threat to the safety of thousands. (and then ofc some of them will turn around and be able to see exactly how awful solas's actions are when they attribute the entirety of them to mythal and vilify her for them but that's a rant for another time lol.)

the inquisitor and varric and the rest are able to still have compassion for solas because they saw another side of him. solas was once just a wisdom spirit who chose to trust his friend. all the awful stuff came after as a consequence of that choice. dai solas is the closest we get to see of who he originally was and who he could have been if not for everything that happened and that he did after agreeing to take a body for mythal. and who he could still be! if he chose it. rook never meets that man. of course they're not going to be super fond of him.

this is also why i think "veilguard would make so much more sense if you could play as the inquisitor" is such a bizarre take to me. putting aside the many arguments one could make about the overall plot working better when you play not only as a new protag but also one like rook who is a complete nobody, for solas as a character to make sense, you have to see both sides of him for any of the endings to ultimately work. even on my first pt when i wanted to be as nice to him as possible bc that's pookie lol, i still had a hard time believing my rook would ultimately want to redeem him. i honestly had to play it like she was doing it for the inquisitor, who so clearly knew a different side of him. or for varric who holds no grudges against him even after solas killed him. or morrigan who holds all of mythal's memories and holds a lot of sympathy toward solas even as she wants to stop him. and for harding, who believed that no one is beyond help.

ignoring that complexity in solas's character and that so many people can have such different interpretations of his actions and personality does such a disservice to the writing and that makes me sad! people aren't completely misunderstanding him if they don't fall in love with him. he can be pookie and still be a war criminal lol. he's not real and you don't have to justify his crimes or absolve him of all guilt to still like him.

Okay, let's talk Eric Frankenstein.

I've seen plenty of fans on here all but excuse Eric's actions as the actions of a child, even in scenes from the present day. To build on this post and many others like it, it is true... to a certain extent.

(btw, this response isn't targeted to who i'm reblogging- just in general to the response on this show from people all over the internet, and i think this post is a good building block-)

I think the analysis across the internet of Dr. Frankenstein's bad parenting is 100% correct- he did not provide a good environment for the Bride nor Eric to grow in. But, like any other person, you will be a product of your environment but once you've become an adult, it is your responsibility to learn and grow from it. If you do not and remain an entitled man-child, you can pinpoint the root of the issue but you cannot excuse it to a certain point.

The same case is here with the Bride and Eric.

I've seen countless people claim that, while Eric's actions are wrong, he has a child's brain stuck in an adult body- and i find that to be infantilization. It begs the question, "Why do we continue to infantilize men?" Don't forget, the Bride and Eric are the product of the same man, the same home. In the present day, they're BOTH close to 200 years old. What is the reason why the Bride has grown, and Eric has not? The Bride is never acknowledged as anything other than an adult woman with a sound mind (which she is), while Eric has ALSO lived 200 years, most of them after the Doctor's death, and has many lived experiences and opportunities to learn and grow. So why do we use this excuse for Eric and not the Bride? He wasn't raised right, but neither was the Bride. The Bride is grown, a capable adult, with empathy (despite her reluctance in showing it) and not as much psychopathic behavior as Eric has displayed... depending, but it is with a different context... the Bride kills a man brutally for abusing a s*x worker and potentially being a threat to Nina, while Eric kills, often, for no apparent reason or from entitlement, or insecurity.

So why do we continue to excuse Eric's actions as anything but as the actions of an entitled, violently misogynistic, delusional man? He may have been a child trapped in a Monster's body in flashbacks, but in the present day the same issues persist. Once again, it has been close to (or over, not entirely sure) 200 years. More time than any human with an equally shitty childhood is granted, and slightly more time than even the Bride has had to mature.

Eric kills Dr. Frankenstein, not to save the Bride, but out of anger, because he views the Bride as a possession, HIS possession, and at that point in time, it might be correct to argue that he has the brain of a child having a tantrum.

But then the behavior persists. For almost 200 more years.

In the present day, we see that Eric has not grown from the person he was in the Bride's flashbacks- he still feels entitled to the Bride.

The Bride, to Eric, is a possession, and he is the rightful owner. She was made for him, and that is that. He surrounds himself with (presumably, from the context) yacht girls/sex workers when we see him in the present day, because he still, after so long, only views women as shiny, beautiful things to look at. In flashbacks, he is not interested in a wife that even knows how to speak, let alone read, or think. He does not want a woman who can speak or think. He does not want a "woman". He wants a possession, a shiny figurine to have on display.

We see the progression of the Bride's and Eric's "relationship", again, through flashbacks- going through nearly 200 years of him stalking her, and her telling him "No" over and over. He never listens, he never learns. He CHOOSES not to see, he chooses to be steadfast in what he believes- that she belongs to him.

I would say that 200 years is enough to learn the meaning of "No." We are shown time and time again that Eric does not WANT to know better. He chooses to live in his delusion. Bogdona begs him to stay, that the Bride does not love him, but that Bogdona loves him. Still, Eric sees being alone as worse than death. But what he cannot see is that, he was not alone with her, and if he had chosen to stay, she wouldn't have to live alone and he would probably be better off there than chasing a fantasy of a woman who in reality, doesn't want anything to do with him. And so, he kills Bogdona. Yes, it is childish in the way that he still views love as a fantasy. Yes, in his twisted mind, he is doing her a favor, and yes, it is still in the earlier days of his existence. But as time passes, Eric still lives in delusion. We can see him talking to Rick Flag Sr., equating both of their love lives to romantic movies. That is because he lives in a fantasyland.

Yes, Eric has the mindset of a child, but let's all analyze that through the lens of your modern age incel, rather than equating him to an actual child when he is not. He speaks eloquently, and he's very worldly about many things. He's been to many different places, and has had experiences with many different people, such as Bogdana. So has the Bride. That is why, when we see him in the present and he still has no understanding of social cues, boundaries, or consent, we should be viewing it how it really is- Eric is not a child, he is the same as a human incel playing video games in his parents' basement. It is not that he is not capable of growth or understanding, he is just as capable as the Bride, he chooses to remain stagnant, entitled, and like a child throwing a tantrum.

Eric is not a child, he is an adult man, and like many adult men, he still has childish tendencies that present themselves in the worst ways- feeling as though women belong to him, owe him something, are NOTHING else outside of him. And it is by CHOICE.

If the Bride can be a capable adult who understands boundaries and doesn't reek of entitlement, then so can Eric.

ERIC IS A CHILD MONSTER

We have all somewhat forgotten what made Frankenstein's monster fascinating and disturbing at the same time, and James Gunn with Creature Commandos has managed to remind us of that for good measure.

Being a childlike creature, a child in its own right but with devastating physical potential makes its every action unpredictable and threatening.

The creature's first words, along with the effects of human gestation, also identify it as a human child. Picking up on Mary Shelley's book: "His eyes—if eyes they may be called—were fixed on me. His jaw opened, and he muttered some inarticulate sounds while a grin wrinkled his cheeks […] one hand stretched out to detain me, but I escaped and rushed downstairs”. Despite Frankenstein’s response of revulsion, the Creature’s initial behavior seems very much like that of an infant, reaching out with a grin and a gurgle for his parent.

For all intents and purposes in Creature Commandos we find this version of the monster with an extremely selfish mentality. If he wants something then he will have it; human lives are worth only when it suits him. The Bride for Eric is a perfect wife, he describes her as we might describe a figurine, we like her and we take her. It is also doubly disturbing how Eric manages to talk amicably about his obsession, as if it were totally normal to own Bride all to himself, a love he says is complex: "My bride, she plays these little fetch me games, but she knows inside, as i do, that we are destined to be together ."

Just as in the series, Frankenstein's creature would not have become monstrous if Victor had taken care of him and provided him with a nurturing environment once he brought him to life, as a parent would do for their child.

Victor's neglect of the creature in the book, which we recall describes him as "more horrible than belongs to humanity," sets him up to be deprived forever of any sense of belonging.

A big thought to say that certain toxic and possessive mentalities can be beautifully avoided if one engages with education. And I will repeat myself as always but as the beginning of the new DC universe in the movie and TV world, I couldn't have asked for better ❤️

I just want to write something about the "Horn and Halla at the Hilt" quest because the more I think about it, the more I need to find closure about this entire situation.

I know that the quest, as the whole Taash quest line, has already been criticised by many players, and I can only add my voice to those people who felt... frustrated, to say the least, by the in-game "trans representation".

but this is not what I wanted to talk about. my main complaint is the plot itself, which made the scene looks like a typical school bullying scenario. is there any reason why the quest was directed that way and not any other?

firstly, why is Bellara even there? she is not a closest friend of Taash, as far as I can tell, and not a big fan of Lords, so why she is the one who was invited along with Rook? why not Harding for example? not Davrin?

this is literally the first and the last time when we actually see Bellara and Taash "befriending", and for me it seems that logical explanation lies just OUTSIDE the scene, because for the plot Bellara was the only fitting person. can we imagine Neve following that stupidiest "oh I messed up so much by eating that food!" scenario? Lucanis? Davrin? Emmrich? no, because literally everyone else has enough teeth or spine to opposite the group. but Bellara hasn't.

It’s so sad and funny to see ‘fans’ being disappointed by Becky English’s articles. I have always expected that Kate would start as a full time Royal again until September or the next year.

Tbh i am not surprised that a person who openly talked about having drinking problems since 1d days, because of how crazy 1d worked has been agressive. What surprises me is people being surprised (they never seriously saw drunk person?). But i am also confused about this whole book. Apparently Maya said that that book is not fully bout Liam but compilation about her exes and some of the worst parts are not about him. I also am not surprised- we've learned so much more about the real stories of things and about the guys' actual lives over the last years, and the story that has unfolded around Liam has been totally consistent throughout if you've been following it, and so the information Maya is telling us is shocking and upsetting but not difficult to believe.
