For the twins in time AU, I genuinely wonder what kind of people the young twins grow up into because of Stan’s/Ford’s influence. Especially if it takes years for the portal to get fixed.

(Sorry if it seems like I already sent this question, I don’t know if it got sent the first time I asked)

I haven’t fully fleshed out how Ford grows up in the past but I do have thoughts on Stan presently

#he’s still his goofy brash self as well #but I do think he gets an outlet for all that through monster hunting and trips and stuff #he does get comfortable here though…#I’m thinking we have something play out that’s similar to the science fair #where they get close to being able to send him home and he breaks something or maybe even purposely sabotages it…#and I think he sneaks out a lot too #maybe he uses the secret identities in that way like when he’s in town he’ll pretend to be Pinley pinington #and that’s how he develops his scammy/improv skills #FORD ON THE OTHER HAND #I think he might actually be MORE emotionally stunted because Stan tries so hard to protect him #that it goes the other way #they kind of become reliant on each other in a really unhealthy way or maybe Stan sort of steers ford away from his smart stuff #to prevent the future from happening #not maliciously but yk #like I said I haven’t fleshed his story out as fully yet so I will get back to you #but there are some interesting possibilities #my art #ask #gravity falls #twins in time au #Stan pines #Stanley pines

WITH A GUN. gfrdfvb vfrdedrf #i am a very normal non anxiety having person i swear guys #worst thing i did here was have odys hands very visible for the qinny one. because i didnt realize the way they draw hands is very realisti #BUT THEIR WHOLE STYLE HAS REALLY REALISTIC ANATOMY I SHOULVE KNOWN #irunakis style is SO fun to draw in bc its a lot like some of my older art so its very familiar yk yk i wasnt worrying too much about makin #-things accurate. but i think that accidentally made me too comfortable and so i ended up straying a bit too much #i think a lot of irunaki and qinnys styles specifically is in the lineart. so me using my normal style of lines makes them less recognizabl #anyways. neals odysseus i have shit talked in private (its a good design it just feels uncanny w/ jorges voice to me) but hes really-#-interesting to draw. i wanna do style studies on neal their characters have a very. idk animated feels like the wrong word but like.#something like animated. feeling to them. theyre very distinct in shape i wanna do studies thats it #bigidiotenergy i found this morning while FINALLY looking at cloudysseus art and instantly fell in love w their design #i need to ruffle his hair. hes so silly. absolutely incredible design. but GOD was the style a nightmare #it was too late id already comitted to trying to replicate the styles. but ohhh my god its so far from my own it was so hard #theres so much detail in places i dont normally put any at all #and its like. WAUGH its scary i need to do anatomy studies in general maybe #uhh havent commented on the gigi one. he was really easy to draw though lol. weirdly enough gigis style was close enough to my current one-#-that i didnt have any trouble whatsoever? and i think its the most accurate too but only because of the lineart styles being similar lol #ALSO NOT TO PLAY FAVORITES BUT FOOP ODYSSEUS IS MY FAVORITE #I LOVE HIMMM I LOVE HIS SILLY SHAPES HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD CAT KINDA. I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)

I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!

also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...

...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.

so I've started reading Journey to the West, and I more or less knew what to expect from Sun Wukong going in, no surprises there. Tripitaka, on the other hand, completely knocked my feet out from under me... I am enchanted

based on an idea @username8746489 had where sylvie discovered nightmare fuel for the first time on accident while getting bullied by some older kids (and pushing him further into social isolation now that he's known as "that scary kid who could summon someone's worst fear")

#♦️charlie's art #epithet erased #sylvester ashling #sylvie ashling #ok i have a lot to yap about here hold on #this was a challenge to make since i was imagining it with no dialogue and limited colors i hope i pulled it off #because of those two things something i had to think a lot about was how the color progression changes the mood #I wasn't originally gonna add that last panel with the aftermath but un suggested the idea of the bullies being vague shadowy figures #initially until sylvie realizes what he did and is forced to see that “that was a real person with their own fears and insecurities”#so then they're drawn more detailed #sylvie and the bullies also aren't in the same panels together until the last one because he's just so below them that he isnt worthy of #sharing equal space with them. these kids are highschoolers. if sylvie wants to look at them he'll always have to look up #and also because i was struggling with their height difference #i hope the second page doesn't make it look too much like sylvie summoned a fire 😭 it kinda helps with the mood but what he summoned is #supposed to be ambiguous and i dont want it to look like i was born yesterday and think nightmare fuel ONLY summone fire #but its hard to make it NOT look like fire when i can only work with orange #the lineart starts out clean and gets messier as the conflict progresses to represent a lack of control #and also it creates kind of a shakey/unstable effect which emphasizes sylvie's fear #also unintentional but i think the second page having detailed shading emphasizes the mood changes. this just got SERIOUS #oh also i used the mizu5 untrained as a color reference thats fun #ALSO SYLVIE DIDN'T KILL ANYONE im just realizing the one curled up in the last panel could be interpreted that way #that's not what i was going for #this might be unrealistic...... but we also know so little about sylvie's backstory that who's to say for sure IDK LET ME MAKE MY FAV SUFFER
