Louis <3 I think this is an affect of how likable and overtly sympathetic he is in the amc show but I've seen people getting genuinely offended over Louis being described in fandom (and by Anne rice herself) as a manipulative cold hearted ass who uses his perceived vulnerability and gentleness to distract from the fact that he is just as cruel if not crueler then the other vampires. Like Louis does nottt have strong morals or high empathy lmao. Book Louis weaponizes his privilege like a white woman crying to self victimize into making the other vampires look worse them him 😭 . He refuses to kill humans for a while not bcus it hurts him to take life (he actually takes more pleasure in it then most), he refuses bcus he has catholic brain the way a christians who say "how do atheists have morals without god?" do, misunderstanding that most people actually care about other people and dont need an existential threat to encourage them not to hurt others.

His moral compass is self centered and based in up keeping the appearance of self restraint and monk style lack of enjoying himself, not empathy. If a vampire killed u would u feel better if u knew he cried over how much he got off on it then flaunted his suffering over how little he indulged so that everyone knew how piosis he was 😭.

He is way worse when it comes to how he treats his victims then Armand who intentionally seeks out victims who r asking to die or Lestat who tries the vigilante approach. Louis kills innocents and he thinks it makes him better cuz he only does it sometimes and he feels really really bad about himself afterwards. As akasha said (paraphrased) he's the most predatory of them all.

To specify I love book Louis SOOOO much I love how shitty he is that's why it makes me sad when people mischaracterize him as sincere and get gen mad when ppl characterize him how he is in canon (a lying selfish bitch bless his heart). I think the common fandom perception of Armand as the crazy unhinged "omg I can't believe he actually did that in the books??" sadistic maniac villain guy is funny but not really accurate. Armand explicitly not only tries to avoid violence but dislikes it and finds it hard to comprehend why someone would seek out violence and conflict.

The reason he is always doing fucked up shit isn't out of a lestat-esc desire to cause chaos, it's bcus his highly strung ptsd brain has him convinced that the world is a battle ground and he must always be defending himself and acting out in violence.

Since acting out in violence is a reaction hes been taught throughout his life to be standard and necessary, as violence is something so normalized to him he considers it more of a tedious chore then a last resort measure, he usually reacts to conflict in ways that are objectively extreme to anyone who isn't thinking from his perspective. In qotd he even asks Daniel why men choose to fight in wars, explaining that he doesn't understand the draw of violence (bcus he's not a man) and he can't comprehend the supposed thrill of it.

See the thing about me is that I do care about characters' morality but it's more in the sense of wanting to understand their moral framework and why they take the actions they do. And because of that i'm always sympathetic to morally grey characters and try to look at things from their perspective, but I don't expect the other characters in the story- who unlike me are actually affected by each other's actions- to feel the same way.

For example, I care deeply about nie mingjue and the inherent tragedy of how he's been trapped by his own circumsances and his genuine will to do the right thing and can see how his reliance on punitive justice was created by the environment he's grown up in and the responsibility he holds towards his people and i don't think, in any stretch of the word, that he deserved to die or that it was in fact necessary to kill him.

However i do not except jin guangyao, guy who was just kicked down the stairs, to see all the nuances here.

In the same sense, i can see how jgy's "self preservation above all else" mindset was forged by a world that expected him to die for their convenience how his avoidance of accounability for his actions was created out of necessity because any punishment levied against him would be disporportionate due to his heritage. How punishing him wouldn't actually make the world a better place or him a better person and how his violence is always reactive and that as long as he feels safe eneough to do so, the thing that he really wants to do is help people.

But I don't expect Huaisang, guy whose brother just got murdered, to give a fuck about any of that.

And I think this is why I'm annoyed with a lot of "is [insert character] a good/bad person" discourse because a lot of it gets framed as "If A is bad, the other characters in universe should hate them. If A is good, the other characters should be sympathetic to them, and if they're not then they're bad." And that is just... not how this works.

Edit: I started writing this like ages ago but I don't see my own point with this writting and I'm editing it after reading @nini14 's Ackerman breaking the cycle analysis and I feel like both of these go hand in hand. So without further ado:

Triangles

Let's see as we all are made aware that aot significantly revolves around trios of friends such as the following :

Although these are the main trios that is noticeable, other trios can be made out by taking some characters from their original trios to make trios based on looks / character and dynamics. And this is where my argument comes in with this trio:

Their dynamic has always been mother father and son. Now let me explain, idk if anyone has heard about the drama triangle but here

These terms can be applied to MLE trio, Levi being the persecutor, Mikasa is the rescuer and the victim being Eren. In the first 3 seasons at least, Eren was being taken away and his decisions constently put him in danger, Levi being the persecutor who always gives Eren what he deserves for being a pain the ass and Mikasa being the rescuer always siding with Eren and protecting him no matter what. Do you see it?

This is Mikasa to a T.

The following is an example of the dad being the rescuer and the son "junior" being a victim, and much like Eren, could possibly refuse the hand that is helping him.

So that being said now that we have an understanding of their dynamics in the relationship, let's get back to understanding a triangle. Did you know triangles are one of the strongest shape because it has three sides that rely on each other hence shifting their energies on to each side and it makes the perfect shape for a bridge, architectures favourite. Why am I tell you this?

Because these dynamics that every trio is made up of in aot is because they have strong relationships.

Someone mentioned isayama loves putting move triangles and I couldn't help but agree, look at how many times he has placed Eren historia and an angry Mikasa? And subtly he has always ( to me at least) hinted the love triangle between Levi Mikasa and Eren, outside of their father-mother-son dynamic. Personally this makes sense to me the most, fueled by mikasa's dream. A choice was there to make and she unknowingly chose Levi.

Now this brings me to the death of all the trios Levi has been part of, from Isabel & Farlan to hanjo & Erwin to where we are now. Our situation before S4 was EMA+Levi = 4 people but we all know that a square isn't as strong as a triangle so something shifted. Eren, even with him in it Armin and him were more connected as for Levi and Mikasa as a pair it was more obvious. Especially in the conversation EMA had in that stare place as depicted on @gilly-bj 's analysis on similarities between rivamika and Mika's parents. Not only was Mikasa placed directly next to Levi although being feets apart in reality but her lines "another conversation only you two understand" it. Visually and verbally divided Mikasa from Eren and Armin and connected her to Levi. Both alone.

Yet another triangle placed by isayama intentionally or not is Armin Mikasa and Levi.

Because a triangle represents the process of recycle and reuse it also represent the cycle of life, an on going thing that doesn't stop, a history that repeats itself. And going back to Ackerman finally breaking this cycle of tragic fate, will they?

The fact that the whole manga series start at chapter 0 is very suspicious in it self. Why does it isyamaa? A 0, a circle that comes back around? A 0 which represents both the ending and the beginning? Why is the 1st chapter called "to you, 2000 years from now"? ( That's such a fucking impactful chapter name gives me chills )

Before my theory start I just wanna add that the story started from a narrative perspective makes me wanna believe in rivamika even more. Did eldians share the same fate in 2000 years? Who knows, but I know for sure Erens and mikasa's dynamic as the impulsive hotheaded doer and their protective calm but strong friend thinker will continue forever just like the never ending triangles.

I forgot all these ppls names on chaoter 0 so PLS bare with me.

The main dude who heavily resembles Mikasa even tho he is a man, has a incredible power just like the Ackerman's as a human AND he can shift into a titan???? Last time I checked weren't Ackerman's the bio product of titans? Remember is science is on a ongoing journey and forever progressing towards the impossible ;)

The little girl who resembles Gabi, who has the same dynamic as Eren, the girl also looks up to his inhumanly powers, a little too much alike Eren's idolisation of Levi ( and looking up to Mikasa's strength I think )?

Lastly, chapter 0 makes me believe it was set in the future. Look at the buildings, 2 story buildings I don't remember seeing buildings like this in the pre time skip era have you? I could be wrong tho.

If Isayama is as smart as we think he is then he might have related this chapter to the whole plot of aot. 🤷 Or it could mean something. And here's where my theory comes in and it may not be the most favourable for eldians. Let me start with the good part tho, the guy who looked like Mikasa is could be a descendant from the Ackerman clan, but he isn't half and half like Mikasa and Levi, he's full blooded. Which might be why he has the power to shift ( idk this kinda don't make sense since Mikasa and Levi can't buy hush )

So let's say rivamika got married had a family they always wanted and had the peaceful life and 2000 years from then this guy^ existed. Oddly familiar to great great great grammakasa 💀💀.

The cycle never ended for eldians, the whole world could still be mad at them for Erens action and has the prejudice against them for a long time. And the fact that they can shift is never going to change even 2000 years in the future. And the guy ( omg I keep calling him the guy cause I literally can not be bothered figuring out his name ) who lives in a far more developed society with richer civilization within the wall. It could be possible that Ymir or someone erased the eldians memories ONCE AGAIN after the rumbling ended. Because Mikasa levi weren't effected they probably were excused and got to live as they pleased. This dude is also the reason why I believe isayama does not consider the Ackerman's as side characters at all. In the end the story might have actually started with them, alluding to "the ending is just the beginning" as said by kingsama himself. ( Wtf am I saying lol )

So yeah in conclusion as I said yes story is weirdly really influenced by a large amount of triangles and loops. And yes ackerman probably would break the cycle of death after all living through hell fighting hell all for what? If not recreating into a heaven, giving it new life. I do believe in rivamika living the life they are destined for with each other but eldians fate might just be too tragic for me to see them as truly free people who gets to roam around outside the walls as they please.

I guess my point is that everything that goes around will come around, that will bring good karma for the Ackerman's and maybe a repeation of the past for the rest of the world. 😩😩 I think I fully somehow believe Eren is gone for good. Unless isayama draws him waking up from a long dream on his bed then 💀👀👀 I will throw myself away.

But this would just make things worse and ur like ur right I did so baaad and he’s like nonono oh no it’s not like that and he like stiffens and goes quiet when u get misty eyed I guess and wonders once again why this is so serious to you?? Who cares about grades?

He probably gets mad ur letting other ppl control ur life. We’ve seen that he hates other ppl living their lives for others or by others rules and he’s kinda frustrated at you and wishes he could just take over u for a day or something and tell ur parents off and ur talking about it and he’s narrowing his eyes at you but ur clearly upset so he’s not gonna yell at u rn. When u feel better ab this he probably will tell you to stop living by others standards but for now he’s kinda lost

He tries to convince u to rise up against ur parents and is like “are u gonna keep letting people in ur life control u?!” And it’s like a motivational pep talk and ur like “no!” And he’s like “are you gonna let THEM yell at you and hurt YOUR feelings?! Cause I sure as hell am not!” And ur getting more energetic and r like “me neither!” And he’s like “are you gonna let ur own PARENTS talk to YOU like that?!” And u go “no!!” Nd he’s like “we r sick of it!!” And u go “ya we r 😭” and then he thinks ur on board so he’s like good!! Let’s go beat ur parents

And ur like “what” and he realizes u weren’t on the same page the entire time so he eventually bedgrudginly will lie that idea go

And he tells you this, like he says it won’t matter in seven years, right?? So why does it matter? Pls cheer up and be doesnt outright say this but he’s like “don’t worry ur pretty little head about it” or something to cheer u up

If it works and he successfully consoles u he is rlly happy and doesn’t show it but he’ll shove his hands in his pockets and go “see?? I told you. I’m good at this advice thing.”

If it doesn’t, he’ll try to take ur mind off it and he probably just shows u his spinning back kick or something LMAO or take u to the dojo so u can either do stuff w him or just watch

But if u tell him what ur upset about isn’t grades but ur parents, he’ll listen to u tell him what they told u if it was mean or strict and if it’s rlly bad his eyes will go bloodshot and he’ll roll up his sleeves and be like okay let me at them then

Literally don’t even JOKE ab him beating up ur parents he will do it 😭😭 and worse thing is he’ll WIN. Don’t even be like “yeah I wish u would beat them up for me” bc he doesn’t draw the line between u joking and him actually doing it probably. Even if he knows ur joking, which he will bc he’s not dense he’ll use it against u and be like u have me permission and suddenly ur the instigator

He listens to u rant about them if u just want a listener and he can probably tell by ur body language… like If ur clearly wanting advice, he’ll offer u the best he can and will tell you to stick up for yourself or, if you’re really upset he’ll even consider talking to them for u. No fists to his chagrin but he’ll advocate for u and he won’t plan beforehand at all he’ll just say “I think u need 2 be nicer to ur child.” And will be like “this shit doesn’t even matter anyways” and will rip the test paper in front of them so this option is obviously not even a choice for you

If u start to cry he’ll first awkwardly do that thing that people do when they don’t know how to console someone and rub your arm and he’s like “Uhh, do u want water?” Bc he’s sad bc UR sad and doesn’t know what to do and it’s like what he’s doing isn’t that helpful but the tone in his voice is v consoling and comforting bc he’s suddenly kinda quiet 4 once

If ur sobbing he’ll hold u and u cry into his shirt and later he’ll talk about how you got it all wet but like when he goes home in the mirror and sees the tear stains it reminds him ur hurt and breaks his heart

He will study with you. And by studying it’s just him like sitting with you while you study. He doesn’t think you should study but if that’s how you want to solve this and feel better he’s down. He won’t read anything but if u have flash cards he will read them back to you and ask u questions and he doesn’t know the right answer himself (unless it’s math he’s probably rlly rlly good at math.) so u have to write them on the back. But he’s pretty good at helping u study

And if ur doing flash cards, he won’t tell u the answer until u guess it and he’s good at hinting to it and he gets annoyed VERY easily when ur not saying the answer u wrote on the back but bites it down

If ur parents make u stay home more and study as like a consequence of gettig a bad grade, he won’t have any of it

He will either confront ur parents and that either makes things somewhat better or incredibly worse

So if that’s what happens he’ll text u a lot and face time u in secret and call u a lot so even tho ur not together, every time u come home from school and open a book ur phone is hidden in the bend of it and ur fting and sometimes u don’t even talk he’s just FaceTiming u so u won’t b alone while u study and bc he misses u

Overall, he really couldn’t give a shit about grades but if need be, he’ll help u with urs, he’d be the best math tutor if ur looking, if ur parents lock u up a lot to study more bc they’re mad he will use any other option to see u, and he’ll try his best to console u despite not being that knowledgeable or understanding why you’re upset. His go to comfort option is distraction, but if it’s futile he’ll do whatever it is u wanna do. If u thank him for helping u he’ll kick something and will b like “yeah whatever I was just sick of u moping around.”

He understands what’s going on with you all too well. When you tell him ur parents scolded u bc u didn’t do so hot in a test or ur overall grades this semester, it’s like his heart is a weight that drops into his stomach and ties his intestine into a huge knot. Like he feels the dread set in

He’s takes a muuuuchhhh more calm approach than Taehoon tbh, like while ur talking he won’t say a word and will listen. He is SUCHHH a good listener and especially now he’s just staring at you and nodding his head to let you know he’s listening to make sure u know that like he is there and present and if ur sad he’s sad too like u guys r a “team”

While ur venting, if u begin to cry he’ll let u and he’s more of a “rub-ur-back-soothingly” type of consoler so he’ll do that and if u half hug him he’ll continue do it but he’s looking at u w the saddest eyes in the world ☹️

So if you’re that torn over this grade he might try and pull some strings to improve your grade, make classes easier or to reach your parents even. U guys start spending time at the library and when his dad questions him he’s like I’m studying and he really is and it’s like a study date and it actually ends up being RLLY fun

Might even print u worksheets and stuff and leaves nice notes on them when he gives them to u like every chapter has another ‘u can do it’ of ‘ur already here?! Omg! Ur far ahead keep going!’ And lots of smiley faces and hearts in the margins

He is not above helping u cheat. He will give u answers in school, risking being caught nd getting in trouble, like he’ll find a way to sit as close to u as possible in class and “drop” his pen besides u that just happens to have a paper inside with all of the answers!!!!

And when you see it you’re so happy and you look at him and wink trying it be inconspicuous and it’s so obvious and he’s like omg (y/n) pls… but he’s happy ur happy and ur grades improve so much bc he gets every answer right and so of course you are getting them right too

But u both plan on u getting a few wrong to avoid suspicion and he’s so happy when ur happy bc ur grades improve so he’ll start sending u the HW, too

Will send u just study notes if u don’t want to cheat and they r so good and he’ll also send u his flash cards and everything and lend u notes from the past

He knows ur YouTube username so if u start to study a lot more bc of ur parents’ scolding and watch his streams to “study” w him despite the million viewers it’s like it’s just u nd him and when u comment like “here bc my parents yelled @ me and now im trying to improve my grades” he is simultaneously v happy ur there but also heart broken

Overall, he cares LOTS about grades, but his not urs. And if ur worried ab getting a job he’s like dw I’ll cover u in the future :)) and he’s very understanding bc he’s in a very similar situation and hates seeing u suffer like that or go thru that even if it’s genuinely not that bad. If u cry his works just SHATTERS and he’ll listen to u rant and cry for hours on end. And if ur grades were actually considerably bad, he won’t tell u that, and he’ll help u improve them bc THATS his solution to it and he’s good at helping u study. If ur not up to it he will help u cheat despite the danger of getting caught, so he can see u happy again :(( he’s rlly so sad ur going thru the same thing as him and will do anything to make it better. Won’t offer to fight ur parents but if need be he might rough one of them up if things escalate to really like mentally abusive-like proportions. But if it wasn’t that bad, he’ll just console u and help u to feel better no matter what !!

So looking this over, no one really jumps out as being particularly “Bucky” or “Steve” characters (other than Scott Parker…for his haircut). Like, even if we take the most lauded player CR7, his diva attitude kind of rules him out as the basis for either of these guys so I guess OP just liked those numbers or maybe I missed another hint??

If I had to choose players to base them on tho, I can definitely see Bucky being a midfield maestro like Schweinstieger just based on that one post someone made explaining how he had to do mad quick algebra equations in his head to accurately snipe people, so yeah, he seems like he could be a "see the big picture"/orchestrate the plays kind of dude.

And Steve I can see as a Neuer-like team captain, not just bc they are both tall, stoic blonde ppl, but they both have this calm leader energy on one hand, and boundless enthusiasm on the other (Neuer’s post match heat map.... dude wants to play midfield lol it gave me a heart attack everytime he left his post) 

But neither of those fellas is a striker and I feel like the moodboard implies that one of them should be, so I have zero conclusions here. I mean I can also maybe picture Bucky being like a cocky Giroud kind of striker? idk idk.

You knew it was wrong to play with people’s feelings, it was never your intention to hurt anyone. You were left with no choice, you had been an innocent bystander when hurricane Bucky Barnes tore through you and wrecked your heart.

It was hard to put him out of your mind, but you’d be damned if you were just going to sit and pine over him until the day you graduated.

If anyone else had been around that night you probably would have gone for them, but Steve was there, he was cute and down to have a good time with you.

You and he were in identical situations, you were crying into your ice cream tub over Bucky and he was completely hung up on Natasha. You were just two friends messing around, hopelessly trying to forget someone else.

Most of all, you were painfully aware of how stupid it was to fall in love with your roommate and your best friend. It’s not like you had any control over it though.

You and Bucky clicked from the moment you met freshman year. He’d come rushing past you in the library all in a fluster, completely lost, looking for the same seminar room you’d given up on finding minutes before. He threw himself down in the chair beside you, grumbling apologies as he intensely stared at a crumpled map.

Despite the first week nerves bubbling in your stomach, you pushed through and offered him a strawberry Mento and a friendly smile. He was the first person you’d built up the courage to speak to and you were so happy you did.

You sat and spoke for hours, the seminar long forgotten about as you made fast friends. You shared everything with one another, from your big dreams to deepest secrets. It was like you were meant to meet.

You were the founding members of your friend group, you’d both brought everyone together piece by piece until the puzzle was complete. You’d created a family away from all of your homes.

You weren’t sure when your feelings changed for Bucky, you always loved him but being in love with him had developed over time. I had crept up on you out of nowhere.

It’d been easier to ignore when you were living with Wanda, but by the end of junior year she moved in with her boyfriend and it seemed that Bucky was the only person on campus with a spare room.

Being thrown into close quarters with him all the time added pressure to your friendship. It brought feelings bubbling up to the surface that you’d pushed down for so long.

Now that you lived together, it was harder to stop the casual flirting; you didn’t go out of your way to touch each other, somehow you just always were. It was all just too easy and the way you both liked it. You’d created the perfect recipe for a disaster.

Despite the constant battle with your feelings, you thought you had everything under control. Until the touching and the flirting crossed over the line.

It started five weeks ago. You began sharing secret drunk kisses, hidden in the dark corners of some sweaty frat house.

It never went further than a steamy kiss, Bucky always stopped it. No matter how good it felt to have your lips on his, to have his arms wrapped around your body, he always stopped it.

I don’t wanna compromise our friendship.

That was his excuse, his reason for stopping. And each time he stopped, you stood there, nodding breathlessly as his cologne flooded your nostrils, sending your fuzzy brain sky high. You understood, but it was still a bitter pill to swallow.

Bucky was the perfect guy, but he had serious commitment issues. He never understood how much he was hurting you when he bought some random back on the same nights he made out with you. It was the purest form of torture having to listen to his night time activities through the paper thin walls.

You knew all of them meant nothing and somehow that made it hurt more. It was all fine, that’s what you kept telling yourself, until it wasn’t. Until it became too much, the constant, never ending heartbreak for you, all the while Bucky continued to dangle himself in front of you like the most delicious doughnut in the bakery.

So you snapped.

Steve was already sitting at the usual table in your most beloved bar with an empty whiskey glass and the saddest look in his eyes when you arrived.

A couple of poorly played pool games and an unhealthy amount of alcohol led to you both spilling your secrets all over the sticky tables. Sharing things you’d vowed never to speak out loud.

You don’t remember who suggested what, but within a few hours you were back at your apartment. Your clothes tangled up in dribs and drabs from the front door to your bedroom. You’d left the perfect breadcrumb trail for Bucky to find upon returning home from practice.

You were too wrapped up in Steve to care about Bucky’s feelings, for once you were putting yourself first. Steve knew exactly how to make you writhe underneath him, he had you whimpering his name brokenly loud enough to travel through the walls.

For once you fell asleep satisfied, not miserable, lulled to sleep by Steve’s soft snores.

As you stirred awake, a foreign serenity settled over you with Steve’s strong arms wrapped around your body, pulling you into him. Blinking your eyes open, you smiled as his lips grazed your length of your neck, reminding you of the night before.

“Morning.” The gravel in his tone, set off a kaleidoscope of butterflies in your tummy. “I had a lot of fun last night.”

“Me too, Steve.” You giggled, he was so warm and playful in the morning, it really took you by surprise.

Steve sat up against the headboard, sleep still dusted over his feature. The sunlight streamed in from the window and illuminated his pale skin. His usually perfectly styled golden hair were now flat and messy.

“What?” He asked, meeting your gaze.

You sheepishly pulled your lip between your teeth and shook your head quickly, “nothing, just admiring a pretty face.” Steve laughed loudly, his eyes fluttering shut.

“Thanks for getting my mind off of everything last night.” He held his hand out to you, lacing your fingers together and pulled you into his lap. “Can I cook you breakfast, as a thank you?” His large hands squeezed your thighs gently.

A smile fought its way onto your lips, your hands resting on top of his. “Only if you make me pancakes.”

“It’s like you read my mind.” He chuckled, pressing his lips to yours softly.

Steve carried you giggling from your bed to the countertop, offering a stern order to stay put while he cooked, followed up with a sweet kiss.

So you sat there on the counter in his oversized training shirt from soccer. Your feet were dangling and your fingers were tapping the side in time with the soft music playing from the radio.

Steve whipped up the fluffiest looking pancakes you’d ever laid eyes on and brewed the perfect pot of coffee. He was a natural in the kitchen, the sight of the food had you salivating.

It was as you watched him cook and ate you delicious breakfast that you pondered over the whole situation. You and Steve had always been close but Bucky remained an unspoken boundary between you. Last night you’d broken that down barrier and it had you questioning why you’d never done it before, because you got on so well.

Everything about the morning was so easy and fun. Under all the smiles though, a pebble of fear settled in your stomach, it was scary how natural it felt with Steve, but that was a crisis for another day.

The sound of Bucky’s door flying open sent a knife piercing through the lightness in the kitchen. The apartment walls trembled nervously as his door collided with the wall. Steve flipped his final pancake and promptly placed it on top of his stack.

Your appetite died almost instantly, but you continued to munch on your maple covered pancakes, even if it was out of fear.

As his footsteps grew louder, so did the blood rushing to your ears. You wanted to sink into the ground, but Bucky was standing in the kitchen well before hell decided to swallow you up.

“Morning Buck!” Steve sang over his shoulder as he finished up with the toppings on his pancakes. He was totally oblivious to the deep blue stare burning a hole in the back of his head.

Bucky’s eyes flickered from Steve to you and back again, he’d seen your clothes on the floor last night but seeing you both in the flesh together felt surreal. You were completely frozen in place, each time his hard stare met your guilty eyes, your heart leaped out of its chest.

A lump formed in your throat as his eyes travelled down your body, taking in the sight of you in his best friend’s jersey. His eyes stopped mid thigh, where the shirt stopped and then he met your eyes once again, a vacant look in his eyes.

While Steve had gobbled down his pancakes at lightning speed, yours remained half eaten on the counter next to you. He grabbed his coffee from the side and took a final swig.

Bucky’s eyes widened in a way you’d never seen before, if he was a cartoon character you were certain they would have fallen out of his head.

“Is that my coffee mug?” He spat venomously.

Steve’s brows furrowed, inspecting the Team’s Best Striker mug, that you’d bought Bucky for his birthday, firmly in his grasp and shrugged. “Uhh…yeah, it was on the draining board this morning. Sorry Buck.” He shot his friend a confused look before putting the empty mug in the sink.

You cast your eyes to the floor, unable to stand the weight of your guilt dragging the mood down in the room, it’d soured the happy start to the morning. Every second that ticked by the tension grew thicker. You felt awful for parading Steve around the apartment in front of Bucky, it was selfish.

Another very awkward beat passed between the three of you until Steve’s phone chimed. The sound was a rude awakening from the self-loathing pit you were spiralling into at a rapid rate.

“Ah shit, gonna be late to practice, I gotta shoot.” Steve announced, grabbing his keys from the counter beside you. “I’ll text you later,” he grinned, leaning in to kiss your cheek softly. “You coming Buck?”

“In a minute.” Bucky grunted under his breath, barely loud enough for anyone to hear. Steve took the incoherent mumble for what it was and headed towards the door.

“Wait Steve, what about your shirt?” You called out, cringing as the words left your lips. You felt yourself making the whole situation worse, but it was like word vomit.

“Keep it, it looks better on you anyways.” He shot you a wink and sprinted out of the room.

You could feel the steam rising from Bucky’s body, you could hear how harshly he was grinding his teeth. He was doing everything in his power not to launch at his best friend and punch him in the throat.

The dust settled into the uncomfortable silence as the door slammed shut. Bucky remained in his place, his cheeks flushed, jaw wound impossibly tight, blue eyes flaming.

“Buck I didn’t know you’d be home, I’m so-” The words tumbled out of your mouth in a nervous jumble, but Bucky held his hand up to stop you.

“Please don’t speak for a second.” He muttered.

“Okay.”

It felt like you sat there for a hundred years as he processed everything, you waited and waited. And yet, everything happened in such a blur, so quickly.

One moment you were metres apart and then he was right in front of you. He slotted himself between your dangling legs, his cold metal hand ran up the length of your thigh, along the curve of your body. Carefully exploring your body over Steve’s t-shirt.

His other hand cupped your cheek and pulled your face towards his, smashing his lips down onto yours. He kissed you with a neediness and passion that shocked you.

Your lips reacted before your brain could stop you, your fingers clawed at his body desperately pulling him closer to you. You matched his need with your own, it was a clash of teeth and tongues.

Bucky’s metal fingertips hooked under your knee, pulling you forwards into him more and wrapped your legs around his torso.

He pulled back and placed kisses all over your face, stopping when his lips hovered over yours once again and breathed you in.

His minty fresh breath attacked your senses, perfectly balancing the sweet and sour scent of the pancakes and coffee lingering on your breath.

You tipped your head upwards, your nose brushing his and reconnected your mouths again. This time it was slower, but you felt the passion he poured into your lips.

His vibranium hand held the back of your neck firmly, keeping you in place. Your fingers tangled through his messy brown locks and tugged gently. A soft moan erupted from his check, it was the most heavenly sound you’d ever heard.

Bucky’s warm hand traced soft patterns along your thighs pushing up the shirt higher and higher until his fingers ghosted over your soaked panties.

You whined into his mouth, your hips bucked into his hand desperate for more from him.

“Bucky, please.” You whimpered into his mouth.

Bucky’s movements stilled, your words awoke him from whatever jealous spell had overcome him. He pulled away from you, his chest heaved steadily as he caught his breath, his lips were swollen, his cheeks tinged pink.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.” He breathed, before backing out of the room and making a run for the front door.

You sat there for God knows how long replaying the moment over and over in your head, trying to make any sort of sense of it.

You weren’t sure where he’d gone or why he would leave so suddenly, but it didn’t feel like he’d truly left you. You could still taste the minty reminiscence of his toothpaste on your tongue, feel his lips moving against yours, his handprints marked on your body.

Now your head was truly fucked.

But since you sound so confused, I'm gonna explain to you the Dream SMP lore 'cause why not

TL;DR: Chaos and war, basically also like a hamilton, heathers, and les mis crossover (but i mean if you want to understand everything you should read.)

Note: Everyone on the smp has three canon lives, and when you loose all three you're canonically dead (except philza minecraft. he has one canon life bc hes known as the hardcore guy bc he had a minecraft hardcore series for 6 years until he was killed by a spider while trying to fight a baby zombie lmaoooooo)

IMPORTANT: THIS IS ALL RP. IRL THEY’RE ALL FRIENDS. THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PLAYER AND THE CHARACTER. THE RELATIONSHIPS AREN’T ACTUALLY TOGETHER IRL. ITS ALL THEIR CHARACTERS THAT THEY MADE UP. (obviously the best friends stuff are irl)

In the beginning there were 8: The Dream Team (Dream, Georgenotfound [the guy in my pfp btw :)] , Sapnap), Badboyhalo, Awesamdude, Ponk, Callahan, and Alyssa. Around this time, nothing much happened since it was all brand new, uhh yeah (this was around may-july of this year)

Then around late july new members joined: Tommyinnit, Tubbo, Wilbur Soot, Eret, Skeppy, Fundy, Punz, Purpled, and Schlatt. This part is very important to the lore, because the lore kinda started off with the british (so tommy, tubbo, wilbur, eret) Schlatt was banned, cause Sapnap was the one who invited him and Dream didn't know who he was. He'll come up later.

So Wilbur and Tommy decided to create a new nation called "L'Manberg". Also around this time (i think) Nihachu and Jack Manifold joined. They also were part of L'Manberg. There was this huge revolution between Dream Smp and L'Manberg. Very historical period on this smp. In the end, (i think it was?) L'Manberg who won (if memory serves).

After that, L'Manberg had started growing bigger, with a lot more buildings added and stuff, notably Church Prime, which where they created a religion for Twitch Prime, which is how you can sub to your favorite twitch streamer for free if you link your amazon prime account. I'm pretty sure around this time, Quackity, Karl Jacobs (if you watch Mr. Beast; yes, that karl jacobs), HBomb, Technoblade, and Antfrost joined. And then the railway war started. It happened when Tommy accidentally ran over Dream with a Minecart and then took his stuff. This is how the disc war started (once again, if memory serves). The two discs Tommy owns are his prized possesions, and Dream took them. Also around this time the Pet War started, with Sapnap killing someones(i forgot oops) pet. And then more pet killing. Annnnd then even more.

Then there was the L'Manberg eletion. There was POG2020, who was Wilbur and Tommy, SWAG2020, Quackity and George, Coconut2020, Fundy and Nihachu, and Schlatt2020 which was Schlatt. Oh yeah and he got unbanned btw

SWAG2020 and Schlatt2020 decided to combine their votes, thus Shclatt became president and Quackity his vp. Oh and ever since the election Quackity has this grudge against George bc he slept through the election. Schlatt renamed L'Manberg to Manberg, and exiled Tommy and Wilbur from it.

Schlatt is a evil dictator who likes power. He and Quackity started fighting, and so Quackity became part of Tommy and Wilbur's side. Around this time was The Battle of the Lake and The Burning Eiffel Tower, both part of the pet war. (It seems like a innocent war but its actually brutal lmao) Also (irl) Mr. Beast had a $10,000 Taco Bell gift card hunt. Eret won. It was at the cords 6969,420, because haha funny number haha weed number. This has nothing to do with the lore but yeah. Eret also became King of the SMP 

Then there was the Manberg festival. It was to celebrate democracy, but Tubbo puts it as "i decorated my own execution" bc he helped decorate it, but he was murdered there. At the festival was the Manberg Massicare, where Technoblade was forced to shoot tubbo, but he released a firework rocket kiling Tubbo, Schlatt, Quackity, and a few others. Many people lost one of their canon lives. Wilbur went all J.D like and planted 11 stacks of TNT underneath Manberg, and wanted to blow it up.

Pogtopia was formed, which is a ravine which i think is underneath? manberg? Which included basically everybody who wasn't neutral or with schlatt. On November 16 was the Manberg VS Pogtopia war, but the Badlands were also there. The Badlands is a nation of four people: Bbh, Skeppy, Awesamdude, and Antfrost. They faught with the loosing side, so the chaos could continue. Eret disobeyed Dream and got stripped of his royalty, and gave it to George. Oh and during this time, George had no idea there was a war and was building a cottagecore mushroom house with callahan and was very confused with all the death messages in the chat. Schlatt died canonically of a heart attack or stroke (no one knows tbh). Tommy became president, passed it to wilbur bc he still has unfinished buissness with dream (the discs), and wilbur passed it to Tubbo, who made Tommy his vp. Technoblade then argued about how government is bad, and they're just repeating history. Philza Minecraft joined the server, but no one could find him, until Wilbur blew up L'Manberg (they rechanged the name also). Wilbur then made Philza kill him, so Wilbur also became canonically dead. Then Techno, still mad at L'Manberg and governments, summoned two withers and made it attack the others. The Geogre decided to check out what was happening and helped fight. After the chaos, Captain Puffy and ConnorEatsPants joined the smp. About one to two weeks later Vikkstar and LazarBeam joined, then about three months after that Ranboo joined.

They rebuilt L'Manberg on stilts, and there water where the explosion was, but now with coral and stuff to make it all pretty. Tommy and Ranboo decided to go steal from Georges mushroom house, but then also griefed it and burnt it, and Dream, being a George simp, built obsidian walls around L'Manberg. They took Tommy to court, and was put on probation. Then Tommy got exiled (again) but this time by his own best friend. This made Quackity vp and Fundy secutary of state. Dream also took Georges king thing and gave it back to Eret because Eret has a good relationship with everybody, whereas George being King just caused chaos cause hes close to Dream. Quackity and Karl made Mexican L'Manberg, and George and Sapnap joined in also. War against Dream SMP, it was a negotiation and it got renamed into El Rapids (reference to Chilling in Cedar Rapids, which Hilary Clinton once said, and Quackity referenced it, got it trending #1 one twitter (well i mean dsmp gets things trending like everyday but), and got DONALD TRUMP TO SUBTWEET HIM. (This happened irl)

In his exile, Ghostbur (wilbur as ghost) and Tommy made Logstedshire, and Dream was often there to watch him. Dream then blew it up, and now Tommy is living with Techno in his arctic place. Currently, Quackity made a thing called The Butcher Army, so they could execute Techno. Tubbo, Quackity, Fundy, and I also think Ranboo? are trying to get another festival, and yes its a secret execution plan, but for them to kill Dream, who they realized is who they need to kill first. The disc war is still not over. Tommy has one of his discs, but Skeppy is in possesion of the other one.

Unluckily for Tommy (reguarding the discs), something happened in the Badlands. Bbh was digging out his underground statue room (he plans to make a statue of everyone of the server) and found this crimson egg. He, Antfrost, and Captain Puffy kinda got possesed. Also since Skeppy didn't really hang out on the server at night, but bbh does (OF FUCK I FORGOT TO MENTION HE AND BBH ARE BEST FRIENDS) Captain Puffy created Discount Skeppy, which is her in a Skeppy skin. Skeppy found out, had a little conflict with her during her stream, but it was resolved, and at one point in the stream, he asked bbh to choose between him and the egg, and when bbh didn't answer, he went to the egg, put himself inside it, and logged off. Couple days later, bbh and puffy got him out, hes now possed by the crimson, called Technoblade his "best friend" infront of bbh, and is now living in a grass hut. Bad is convinced theres still some skeppt left, but yeah. Skeppy also wanted to burn the disc.

End of lore for now, bc its like if you miss ONE STREAM YOU MISS LIKE A REALLY IMPORTANT EVENT AND ITS STRESSFUL

Not much part of lore but Nihachu and Captain Puffy once went on a date. They’re both bi irl and Puffy was on Nihachu’s Love or Host (twitch dating show. its really entertaining) Captain Puffy was a contestant, and chose love. (LoH is also how Nihachu and Wilbur met.) 

Funfact: Theres 5 irl lgbtq+ ppl on the server (people who came out, anyways cause you never know, ya know?) Antfrost is gay, Eret, Nihachu, Captain Puffy are all bi, and Karl Jacobs is ace spec 

Family stuff: Philza Minecraft (he'll come up later) had two twins with a Samsung Smart Refrigerator in the 70's. The two twins being Wilbur and Technoblade (he'll come up later also) and also had another son, Tommy. They also adopted Tubbo, who they found in a box on the side of the road. When he grew up, Wilbur met Sally the Salmon, and they had a fox together (dont ask just go with it), which was Fundy. (The character) Fundy is trans, and yeah . Bbh is a dad to sapnap and yeah

Oh and a new member is coming on today on Quackity’s stream (twitch.tv/quackityhq at 5pm CST if you want to watch)

Ok but This. This is something I’ve always struggled with. Anytime I’ve been good at something, I hide it because I don’t want others to think I’m showing off. I’ve always downplayed or straight up hidden my talents in the hopes of not offending/intimidating others. And for good reason too because people have given me quite a bit of grief over this kind of bullshit and it really weighs you down as the years go by.

One talent of mine that almost no one in my present day life knows of is softball. Fun fact- I’m really fucking good at it! and I’m no longer going to share that with just my boyfriend because me sharing it shouldn’t be automatically seen as gloating or compliment fishing. It’s just me, pure and simple.

My freshman year of high school, I made it up to the varsity team for softball. For the same reasons I’ve already mentioned, I did not share the news with anyone when the varsity list was announced to the players. Even without me saying anything about it, news still spread and soon enough I had all the freshman boys making fun of me, one going so far as to confront me in the middle of class and claim that not only was I bragging but that I was lying about it too (again, this was not true as I did not tell anyone. The news would’ve had to come from someone else on the team). I realized a couple years later it was because he felt inferior to me. He was in track and of course did not get to letter as a freshman like I did. Same thing happened too freshman year when I was playing basketball and we had to find our max weights for lifting and squatting. My squat max was 260lbs. We shared the weight room with the freshman football team that day, and even without me saying anything, within a day I had boys making fun of me calling me a man, a dyke, a liar, all manner of things, because they simply could not handle the fact that I was good at something and they weren’t. God forbid a girl do something better than them.

And now because of those things and many many others, because I was made to feel inferior for being a girl, or being a “dyke,” or whatever else, I’m no longer going to hide my talents or myself in general. It keeps happening lately where I’ll share a tidbit of my life with others, and they respond with “omg this is amazing why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Well because of my demographics in life I’ve been made to think that anytime I share any part of myself then I’m just trying to gloat or get validation. But that’s not true and I can no longer use it as a reason to hide myself and my abilities. I couldn’t share my talents at school because of bullies, I couldn’t share my talents with my parents because they were basically bullies too, but now with all that out of the way, I’m in the perfect position to grow out of that mindset. I’m gonna be great at what I’m great at and I’m not gonna sell myself short anymore in the hopes of making others feel better about themselves.

And now that I’m here and already ranting, I might as well make this productive. So I think a good exercise for me would be making a list of all the things I’m good at, because doing so is in no way an insult to others and if anyone is offended by that then they can eat shit :)

TLDR as a queer neurodivergent woman I’ve had a lot of trouble with this bc anytime I’ve shared parts of myself with others (purposefully or not) it’s been falsely labeled as begging for validation or bragging but I’m not going to downplay myself anymore just to make other ppl feel better about themselves and they can die mad about it ;)
