Anon asked: I don’t know if this is too personal or not, but if you feel comfortable sharing, what prompted you to make a return after not posting at all for about 3 years?

A: That's okay, I don't mind you asking. To be honest, I just suffered from art block for a very long time. I couldn't get myself to draw no matter how hard I tried. I would sit myself down and try to force myself to do it, but I just couldn't. I don't know why it went away and I don't know why it came back, but suddenly my spark came back with a vengeance! I'm back to wanting to draw all the time! I think that's both the wonderful and awful thing about creativity: you can't force it. It sucks, but hopefully I can serve as proof to others who are going through it that you can spring back from it.

Anon asked: Hi E-vay! I couldn't help but notice a few Coraline references in some of your art work, are you a fan of the film too? By the way, Sonamy 4 eva!!

A: Yes I LOVE Coraline! I never read the book but I love the movie. It fills my spooky little heart and soul!

A: I haven't yet! Honestly when the pilot first came out years ago, I didn't care for it. (I love Helluva Boss, did not care for Hazbin Hotel). But I've heard a million people recommending the series and I've heard the songs because of Tiktok and a lot of the songs sound great, so I have been meaning to check it out.

Anon asked: What is your favourite Tim burton movie? 🖤

A: I want to say Nightmare Before Christmas, but to be completely honest it's probably Mars Attacks! It's so campy and funny and it has that retro horror sci-fi film feel to it, and the cast rocks. It checks all the boxes for me. I even have a Mars Attacks! print hung up at my office at work:

A: I went through a severe art block and hadn't drawn anything for a long time, even though I had the whole script for it written out. However since getting my mojo back, I've completely re-written the story and am working on it again. You'll see more of HHNF soon and I'm certain you'll like it better than it was meant to be originally!

Anon asked: I’m unsure if you’ve been asked this before, feel free to ignore if so but would you ever consider opening a Patreon? Y’know for earlier access and possibly spicy art����?

A: I did have a Patreon once upon a time, but it gave me severe imposter syndrome lol It put too much pressure on me to put out content that I thought was worthy enough for people to be paying for, so I ultimately closed it down. It doesn't mean I won't ever open it up again, but I don't have any immediate plans to do that. Also regarding the spice haha 😅 I appreciate your interest, but I just don't like to share that kind of content.

milangakokoros asked: I know you like sailor moon, I remember that you published a drawing that you did in 2007 somewhere, of Aurora sailor moon version. What other animes do you like? have you seen saint seiya? (it's my current hyperfixation)

A: I don't watch much anime anymore, but I used to be obsessed with Naruto. That's primarily what I would draw back in my dA days, but I lost interest in it a long time ago. I also loved Fruits Basket, Kill La Kill, One Punch Man and Attack on Titan. There are other shows I've watched, but those were the major series. I haven't seen the series you mentioned, sorry!

A: Absolutely! I don't know what the next game will be, but I definitely want to make more!

A: So far my favorite game-movie adaptation is the Super Mario Bros movie! I love it so much! I love that they kept the style of the game but made it a little more polished than what you'd get in the games. I loved the characters, I loved all the references within it, I loved the music. I just think it's a perfect adaptation. Of course I'm super excited for Sonic 3! I'm sure it's going to be great, I'm just praying that Amy will be in it! I need her in it :( I'd love to see a movie adaptation of Dead Space. That's one of my favorite games and ooh I think it'd make such a good horror film. I know they made animated movies for it, but I want it done in a proper hollywood horror way!

MISC SONIC ASKS

Anon asked: I was wondering what your favourite brotherly head cannon would be between Sonic and Tails? :3

A: Even though Sonic's older and technically raised Tails, I love the idea of them sort of "raising each other." Sonic teaches Tails how to defend himself, how to navigate the world, how to do the right thing, but Tails is the one who teaches Sonic how to read and write, introduces him to philosophical discussions that Sonic finds really boring but actually helps him to be a better hero and be a better version of himself. I even like the idea of Tails being the one to teach Sonic how to play music. Sonic has a natural talent for it, but Tails is the one to teach him notes and chords, how to actually read sheet music, things like that.

umbrathehedgehog asked: Hey, I noticed that one piece about Sonic Prime. It's very nice! What did you like or not like about the show? Been seeing a lot of differing opinions on it and I'm really curious about what you thought!

A: Thanks so much! As a whole I'd say it was okay. It certainly wasn't the best Sonic media out there in my opinion but no way was it the worst. I understand it's a kid's show, but it was way too formulaic for me. It got to the point where I could pretty much bet "in 2 minutes Character A is going to seem like all is lost, then a loud explosion/sudden shake will happen, and they'll look up like 'whuAHHH???' and Character B will show up to help." That's fine, but not when it's happening multiple times every single episode. So to be honest, it wasn't a show that I looked forward to watching like I did with Sonic Boom. It was just something I had on because it was Sonic-related. But Sonic Prime had a lot of good character writing and the acting was great. They explored character relationships/dynamics and emotions that some other Sonic content hasn't done before, so I applaud them for that. It's mirroring what happened in Sonic Frontiers and I love that the franchise is willing to dig a little deeper on an emotional level like that. And I've said it before but I'll say it a million times more: Shadow was PERFECT! The positive of having Shadow portrayed so excellently far outweighed any negatives I could say for the show!

A: Well we didn't get to see very much of her, but I loved her design! She was very majestic and beautiful and kind. None of the characters or storyline from the live action movies are part of my AU.

MY OCs/AU ASKS

Anon asked: So when’s did aurora learn that she could turn invisible? And did she use it to pull a prank on her parents making them think she disappeared

A: Aurora discovers her light abilities when she's young (think about preteen age), but she doesn't fully know what all she can do yet. It takes a lot of experimenting and studying with Uncle Tails to figure out everything she can do. He is the one who tells her that if she can bend light, she should be able to use it to cloak herself. Tails and Sonic obviously mean she should use it as a defensive move, but Aurora instantly thinks it's the perfect power for pranks! Picture a lot of objects "floating" around the house with a lot of phony "OooooOOoooOOOO" ghost noises haha

Anon asked: Is aurora a comic book fan? If so what’s her favorite series

A: Aurora can enjoy super hero related stuff, but she's not an avid fan of it and I would say she does not read comics. Aurora is more into fantasy/romance books. Ruff is the one who is into comic books :) His favorite would be Batman.

Anon asked: I love your idea of Aurora and Sage being close friends, I really think that fits! That being said, do you think Sage and CC would get along?

A: Thank you! I've been thinking about it and I like the idea of Sage and CC being rivals, but in a very cheeky, friendly way. Sort of like Sonic and Knuckles. Sage and CC would make everything into a competition to see who can solve this problem fastest or who can simulate something best, to determine who is truly the more intelligent of the two AIs. But again, not in a toxic way. In a "I have to be the best version of myself in order to beat you because the respect I have for you is insanely high" kind of way. And Sage could playfully tease CC for wanting to become organic because it'd be a "step backwards" in her evolution, but really she'd work to find a way to help make CC's dream come true.

antooogamer asked: Hello, I already know why Diamond is white and Boon's color is for Aurora, but now I have a question about Cinder, why is he Orange? :^

A: Orange is in the same color family as red and pink, so I think it still works. As far as color theory, in my AU Aurora has a grandma who is yellow and Shadow's fur includes red, so by blending those colors you can get orange. It's the same reason why Nova is purple, it's a blend of colors from their lineage. I tried Cinder out in several different colors but orange is ultimately what fit him best.

animefan299110 asked: After seeing your artwork of Sage and Aurora interacting, I got to ask: Do they hang out a lot or is Sage like a cousin/big sister who visits all the time?

A: They're more like best friends than sisters/cousins. I know people draw Sage growing older and stuff but I personally headcanon that she'd stay in the form of a child because she feels no need to grow up. But once she's friends with Aurora, then I could see her "aging" up alongside Aurora so that she always matches her friend. It's just a headcanon of mine for now and that could ultimately change in the future.

Anon asked: Has Aurora ever been to space before if so what were her thoughts. Was she like markiplier with the whole space is so cool song.

A: Aurora DESPERATELY wants to go to space more than anything! But for most of her life she hardly ever left her home. It isn't until she's grown up that she actually starts to properly explore the world. Eventually I want her to go to space, but it would be once she's living on her own.

A: You are just so sweet, thank you! You know I'm very pro tats and I love seeing what people think the different Sonic characters would get. For my AU, I only have two (technically three) characters depicted with tattoos. Amy's dad Clay Rose has two tattoos on his bicep: A heart with his wife's name in it, and then a matching little heart with Amy's name in it. Adult Knuckles has a simple "M.E." tattooed on his bicep. It's a reference to Knuckles' theme and also his dedication to the Master Emerald. Lastly, I have the human version of Cinder (but only the human version) with forearm sleeves that continue down his hands. So far those are the only characters I have with tattoos. As far as piercings, most of my characters have ear piercings but they don't often wear earrings. Blitz and Lulu are the only characters who always wears earrings. I could see Shadow getting at least an ear pierced, but I headcanon that with his rapid healing that it would almost instantly close if he didn't actively wear a piercing at the time.

Anon asked: I totally hope that Piper will have a girlfriend! Do you see her more with a girl or a boy?

A: I currently see PIper as demiromantic. She is currently not interested in anyone romantically or physically, and I don't want to diminish that part of her identity by saying 'Oh but she'll eventually end up with __." Of course, a headcanon is whatever you want so if you personally ship her with a woman that's cool with me!

Anon asked: Hey evay, i was looking at this old info of Amy, and It says that she wans't always at home, did Aurora had any issue with that? Did some part of her childhood she could say that she had mother issues? (Sorry if you can't understand, my english it's terrible 💀)

A: Your English is excellent! I wouldn't go so far as to say Aurora had mother issues. Amy wasn't completely absent from Aurora's youth, she was just working a lot so she wasn't constantly at home the way Sonic was. It would have made things a little awkward/emotional at times because that naturally made Aurora favor Sonic a little more when she was younger, but that also made the times she did have with Amy all the more special. Aurora never thought to herself "My mom has abandoned me because she's never home," it was more of a "Work is stupid and being grown up is stupid because it means Mom can't stay home and play with me all day." Aurora and Amy grow a lot closer as Aurora gets older and better understands the meaning of responsibilities and commitment.

I don't think I saw anything from you with him And another question, if no one asked this before, are any of Shadora's kiddos immortal too? Or maybe they're "half immortal"? A: Wow, that's so kind of you to say! Thank you so much! I hope you do make ref sheets for your characters :) I haven't planned anything with Silver for my AU yet. To be honest, I don't know his character very well and I try my best to always keep the original characters in-character, so that's why I haven't done anything with him yet. But I recently purchased the volumes of IDW comics and I'm hoping to understand him better and then I will be more confident writing him! Secondly, none of the Shadora horde are immortal. They have stronger immune systems so they can heal faster and are less likely to get sick than the average Mobian, but they are still mortal and still age at a normal rate. Thank you for the questions and compliments!

A: Thank you so much! I need to make a comic about it. When they were young they were all exploring the different zones and Cinder was really struggling with some of the obstacles so he was already getting quite aggravated. Diamond noticed this and offered to help because some problems are better solved as a team, and Cinder immediately gets pissed and tells her to buzz off. She gets upset that he snaps at her, and there's some escalation between the two and finally Cinder blows up at her (literally). He immediately regrets it as he did not mean to hurt her, but the damage is already done.

degux asked: What would happen if Metal Sonic ( somehow :v ) met CC ?

A: Hmm. Well, even though Metal Sonic is based on Sonic, I love stories that involve him having an identity crisis and ultimately deciding that he's not just going to be a clone. He's his own entity, right? They're alike, but they're not the same. I don't know where he'd be on that self journey by the time he meets CC, but she'd definitely see him as his own person, not as a Sonic copy. But likely he'd still be an antagonist, so they'd end up having to battle lol

A: They definitely exist in my AU, but I haven't completely decided what their roles are yet. I can see Vector becoming Cream's stepdad (I'm not passionate about the VanillaXVector ship but I know it's practically canon), and then that leads me down a rabbit hole (pun intended) of how does that affect the dynamics of Team Chaotix? I have some rough ideas but I need to spend more time on it.

Anon asked: Have you thought about introducing Vector or Team chaotix in your sonamy and Aurora comics? :0 I picture him being "Uncle Stanley Pines" from Aurora and the Hyena Boys.

A: I had to add this question immediately after because your idea of Grunkle Stan made me laugh out loud! Oh my gosh I love that!

A: ¡Gracias! The character you're referring to was an OC made by my friend Nana, a Sonamy fankid named Spazz. I sometimes drew him interacting with Aurora because my friend Nana and I just liked to draw our characters interacting, but Spazz is not a part of my AU. Nana is no longer on tumblr so that's why there aren't any Spazz art/comics anymore.

I’ve recently re-read your ‘Boom Baby’ comic & was wonderin’ - especially with all their attempts - did Sonic or Amy, either one, stuggle with infertility? If so, did they ever have any doubts of that “I’m pregnant” moment ever happening?

A: Infertility is a very real issue that many people (including those very close in my life) deal with. Although I do think it's very important for people to be able to see their experiences reflected in the media they consume to help them remember that they aren't alone in their experience, this is not something I wanted Sonic and Amy to have to deal with for Boom!Baby. The chapter where Sonic references making multiple attempts during a certain window of time was not meant to imply that they were struggling with infertility. It was instead supposed to show that now that they've both decided they want a child, Amy doesn't want to take any chances to make sure it happens lol. TMI - Even without fertility issues, getting pregnant is not always guaranteed so it can take a lot of planning and timing (and frankly, luck) to be successful. Super TMI - I headcanon that Sonic and Amy are already intimate A LOT so now that they're trying for a baby it's above and beyond and that's why Sonic is tired in that chapter lol

A: In my stories Mobians don't really go to "school," but yes she was bullied by a group of other kids when she was little. I have a script for a comic for this, I just haven't drawn it yet.

A: My AU is a fluid situation haha It adapts as more Sonic content comes out and I get to pick what I want to include. That's what makes AUs fun! Hmmm, ultimately I'm going to say no, I don't think Prime is canon to my stories.

Anon asked: Hi e-vay! Just wanted to ask, will we ever see what happened with Sonic and Amy's wedding in your AU? We've seen Amy's pregnancy with Aurora and their first date, so it seems like another natural relationship landmark to make a shenanigans-filled story out of! A: I definitely have a sonamy wedding comic in the works :) It's going to be multi-chaptered. I would love to answer your other questions but I don't want to spoil the surprise! 😜

If you read Harry Potter or watch the movies, don't you think that Harry and Ginny's relationship is similar to Sonic and Amy? I know this is kind of random, but it's like Harry is the hero, and Ginny was always in love with him, but their relationship slowly developed throughout the books, especially the 6th book. And that's how Sonic and Amy have been throughout the years

A: Hello! I have seen the movies and I read some of the books, but I don't know the series all that well. Actually, I don't remember Ginny being in the movies much at all, so I was a little confused when she and Harry ended up together. Maybe there was more to it in the books that I just never read. So if I'm going solely based on the movies I've seen, I can't say that I see the correlation. But that's not to say you're wrong in thinking that :)

A: Definitely My Gal, specifically the last couple of chapters. I put my whole heart into that story and I'm pretty proud of it.

A: Thank you so much! I hope you're doing well too :) UGH!!! 😩💙💖💙💖💙💖 We have been fed SO WELL lately! I can't believe it, what a time to be alive! I'm still sure they won't ever make it canon, but I love the sweet little snippets we get and just how much Sonic and Amy's relationship has evolved over the years to be so much closer. And I giggle like a little maniac every time they're on screen together or they're side by side in marketing. It makes my heart SING!

A: That's not embarrassing, that's crazy kind of you to say! Thank you! Yes I do still adore those ships and need to draw them more. It just seems every time I go to draw something my hand gets possessed by the ✨spirit of sonamy✨😂 I promise I'll draw the others at some point!

Anon asked: Are there any ships that you just… don’t get? Not dislike or hate or anything, just one that you fully don’t understand the appeal for…? Cause Metal Sonic and Amy is a ship that kinda baffles me. Like most Amy ships have some appeal. Sonic is obvious, you’re Ms. Sonamy after all. But Shads, Silver, Blaze, and even Surge have fun dynamics, and Metal doesn’t really strike me as a character that is able to be shipped effectively… Thoughts?

A: There definitely are ships that I don't understand. But if I don't understand or don't like a ship (or fan theories, or whatever), I'd rather just not talk about them. I used to indulge in that style of arguing discussion when I was a kid but I don't do that kind of stuff anymore. If I don't get something I just say "That's not for me" and move along. I do support the MetAmy ship myself but it's not at the top of my ship list (lol). I like it because Metal Sonic is based on Sonic, and if they're meant to be similar and I believe that Sonic does care about Amy, then that logic would tell me that Metal cares about Amy, too. And even though Metal is a villain, Amy does care about his well being (just like she cares about everyone's well being). Metal Sonic is also one of the main reasons Amy and Sonic met in the first place, so I think she holds a special place in her heart for him, even if it's not 100% romantic. That's my reasoning, but I don't want or expect you to change your opinion.

A: I don't really do exact ages, but Sonic and Amy have Aurora roughly when they're in their mid-to-late 20s. So they would be in their mid-to-late 40s when Aurora and Shadow first meet.

A: Hmm, I think my fav Shadora art is the comic where Shadow and Aurora discuss her "wings" (back quills). It started out as just a fluffy piece but I think it really set the tone for their relationship in my stories. As far as a double date -- I could see them trying a double date early on when Shadow first states his intention to date Aurora, but it doesn't go well. Years later when Sonic is more accepting of their relationship I could see them occasionally going out for lunch/dinner together instead of just their weekly family dinners at home.

A: CC doesn't need to rest, but Tails is so soft that she just loves to lay against him so she'd definitely use him for a lap pillow more. BONUS POINTS for using his tails as a shawl around her shoulders! Shadow is more likely to rest his head in Aurora's lap. The way she strokes his quills is very soothing and makes him feel content. She also has thick thighs so very, very comfy for lap pillows!

Ohoho you wanna hear about MY favorite naruto character?

Be me, just discovering manga for the first time as a extremely sheltered baptist 14 year old. I was obsessed. Naruto scratched an itch in me as a young repressed gay that veggie tales and 321 Penguins just couldn't reach. I would check out my highschool's book limit in naruto volumes, tear through them in one night, bring them back the next day, check out the next 6 volumes, rinse and repeat. Nothing would come in between me reading through these books as fast as humanly possible.

So when I was dragged out of my room to go to my new stepdad's company sponsored picnic, i was less than thrilled. But, oh well, a ninja should always be adaptable, so i grabbed my current volume and we headed off to the park.

Now I don't know if you've ever had the displeasure of experiencing the Corporate Sponsored Family Picnic, but let me tell you, even as a child it was a sorry affair. Small groups of pale middle aged men in khaki shorts and polos stood in circles clutching their solo cups full of sprite while their equally haggard looking wives wrestled wood chips out of the mouths of their redfaced toddlers.

I was more concerned about finding a quiet corner of the pavilion to read out of the reach of sticky fingered middleschoolers and curious siblings alike.

Staying quiet and undetected was the way of the ninja.

Well, wouldn't you know it, the company hired a clown to come and paint the faces of their employee's children. I loved facepaint but unfortunately being 14 meant that i was far too mature for the butterfly masks and spiderman faces of yore, so I kept reading.

That is... until i saw him.

The first time i saw Orochimaru I had two thoughts. One was gay panic, the other was complete and total assurance that this was the coolest looking character that had ever been made in the history of man. Looking back now I could probably have sited this as being the moment my egg cracked for me but u can't tell therapists that so moving on.

Right then I knew that I had to be him. Embody every bit of intimidation and power that came with his killer eyeliner. Smugly, I strode past all the unicorns and batman faces, knowing that I was about to become the ultimate ninja.

I slapped the open book onto this poor 40 something year old woman's table and just pointed.

"Are you sure?" she asked me, pleaded me, eyes squinting at the picture of a man vomiting a smaller version of himself up.

I nodded solemnly.

I stood completely still for the whole process, brimming with excitement and undiagnosed autism. When she was finished and showed me the result, I was so blinded with euphoria it didn't matter that several dads had begun to stare or that my very christian mother was already wetting paper towels as I hopped down off the stool.

For those brief few moments I was the most powerful sannin at that picnic

Thoughts on canon ships: NaruHina? SaiIno? ShikaTema?

send me a ship and i'll give you my brutally honest opinion on it

NaruHina

Having only read the manga for much of part 2, Hinata is not heavily featured as doing much at all, and this ship came off as pretty shoehorned in. As I've talked about before, I like Hinata's ~aesthetic~, but I don't find her very interesting. I additionally don't really find teen/adult Naruto that interesting. So like.... this ship is just very boring to me lol.

Their canon marriage did Hinata less dirty than Sakura, at least. Like I know Boruto is mad his dad isn't around more, but adult Hinata seems to have enough of a spine that I think she and Naruto have probably worked out compromises for his insane work schedule.

SaiIno

This ship also has barely any canon development and yet somehow makes perfect sense to me. They are the mean girl couple. They talk shit about you in front of you. They have matching midriffs. I also think Sai and Ino are weirdly compatible. Like, Sai is someone who seems to yearn for connections with other people, but he needs how relationships even work clearly laid out for him. He needs his partner to be able to very clearly communicate their emotions and how they want to be treated. Ino is both self-aware and confident enough to do exactly this. And I think, besides canonically finding him hot, Ino would find Sai's uncomplicated approach to interpersonal relationships to be a relief. He's mean and catty in a way that's fun, but also she can just go "when you say X, it makes me feel Y" and he will actually engage with that and have an honest conversation about it.

ShikaTema

This might be the only canon ship that felt developed besides SasuNaru. Like, the new one-shot I think did a lot for MinaKushi, but their original backstory was just kind of like, "Okay?"

Shikamaru and Temari have a certain edginess to their interactions that Compelled me when I was like 12. He impresses her in a fight and then forfeits and says she would have won, and everyone should know that. She shows up to save his ass in the Sasuke retrieval arc. When we see them again, they're working together on official Chunin Exam business. It really did feel like their relationship was built up purposefully. I don't remember ever actively seeking out content (probably because canon was enough for me), but I was on board as a baby teen.

That being said, now that I've grown and matured, I'm not really compelled by this ship any more. I don't really like the way Shikamaru's role in the manga kind of turned into "genius favorite character can do no wrong," and I don't like the way Temari was treated in her match against Shikamaru. Like, even though she won, it's painted sooooo firmly as Shikamaru being cool and mature. Given Naruto as a manga is very bad at giving any women agency, it's kind of annoying. But it is developed in canon. I'll give it that.

I do think I might click on a fic that was less about the ship itself and more about, like... navigating Temari's bizarre family. How does Shikamaru interact with her brothers? Do they ever visit Suna and have super awkward family dinners? What was integrating into Konoha like for Temari?

Friendly reminder these are feats Sarada was pulling at 11-12, this isnt something new or groundbreaking & definitely doesnt scale her to Otsutsuki. If that were the case then that'd make her stronger than B0ruto who had to flee from them 😑 which your crazy if you think she is

A Chidori is not hard to dodge if you have the sharingan and reflexes to match it which Sarada does, why I bring this up is because yall were the same ppl who attacked me and anyone else who said she was more than capable of fending for herself against Kawaki both here & here

Dont even try to argue that base Kawaki without karma, and V1 karma Kawaki was stronger and faster than a 10 tails Rinnegan amped Sasuke.

Also just wanna point out yet another glaring power scaling flaw, which is why the hell is her chidori weaker than it was when she was 12? she grabbed a whole chunk outta Boro but 3 years later she just gives bee stings? Hidari should be missing part of his abdomen.

For the record heres the damage Chidori typically does if you think Im just nitpicking no, this is a literal power scaling flaw.

Dont get me wrong Im glad shes doing something, but she was always capable of doing this all along so its not really impressive but more of why'd it take yall so long to show her actually use her arsenal & fend for herself like she always could? where was this in 58? 78? 81? 82?

It took 4 years, 4 YEARS for her to do what shes always been able to do again, shes done this since Gaiden, Sasuke has done the same at 12, yet for 4 years all she did after Boro was stand there or cry and yall response was 'what could she do?' stfu.

THIS is what she could do, if a 12 year old Sasuke could dodge a semi Kurama amped Naruto then Sarada can handle a base karmaless Kawaki and a V1 Karma Kawaki.

And before anyone mentions, the only reason Sasuke stopped being able to dodge is because Kurama had a mind of his own, he could predict Narutos movements and dodge accordingly but he couldn't predict Kuramas.

Now yall wanna gas when yall didnt even believe she could do THIS much, the bare damn minimum, DODGE, yall didnt even think she could do that but now all of a sudden when she does its this incredible feat? but I thought we were the haters for sayin she was always able to do this?

Isnt it ironic that the ones who were called haters are the ones who were saying Sarada was better than that, and the ones who were called 'real fans' were the ones saying she was too weak and slow to even dodge with her 3T sharingan? funny how that works.

See how fast ppl switch up and forget their own narratives they put out there. Be honest, you knew she was always capable of this, you just made excuses either because of a ship or because it made your goat look good.

I already know Im still gonna get branded a hater for literally saying she's always been this strong and capable of fending for herself, but Im not gonna pretend this is some impressive feat when it isn't, 3 years ago yea, but 3 years later? this SHOULD be light work for her now.

If next chapter we see some MS abilities then we can talk about impressive feats, but this? thats how I know yall didn't think much of her and still don't if you think this is a big moment just dodging an attack and doing a low damage chidori 🤦‍♀️

This is what yall clowned Naruto for when he came back in the timeskip still using his same arsenal he left with, so lets not pretend this is any different for Sarada, everything shes done in TBV so far she was doing in part 1, there's no difference YET but hopefully in 11 we'll finally see her growth, OR a dodge and chidori is all she gets and will immediately need saving now.

As long as Boruto stays outta the way then the odds are higher for her to actually hold her own, but if Boruto is coming back to the scene its game over for her so here's hoping his ass has to take a back seat the entire invasion so everyone else can actually do they thing without him draggin them down.

For context, what I mean by that is whenever Boruto is involved everybody else gets dragged down to make him look good by comparison, for example in 58, 78, 81, and 82 Sarada for some reason completely forgot how to move, dodge, react, or activate her own sharingan, but as soon as Boruto has to stay away hiding, suddenly she remembers she has the sharingan, reflexes to dodge, and defend herself. I used Sarada as the example but this is a problem with the entire cast not just her, but since this post is about her thats why I used her for reference, but everybody immediately got better as soon as Boruto was written out of the way.

I said it before and I'll say it again, HES the problem, not from any fault of his own, but because the writers cant seem to make him shine and stand out on his own without draggin everybody else down so he looks cool and badass by comparison, rather than him just standing out on his own merits.

Think about it, name one 'cool' or 'badass' moment he's had in the timeskip that hasn't been handed to him at someone else's expense

His win against Mitsuki came with Mitsuki was already wavering and feeling doubt and willing to die

His win against Code came after he just rescued Sarada who just stood there

His win against Kawaki came after he had spent the last 8 chapters being easily knocked out and knocked down

The entire invasion everybody was getting sneaked, caught off guard, barely holding their own, and needed saving, while Boruto was just casually beating Code and his grimes with zero effort.

Now? with Boruto removed? Inoshikacho holding their own against Jura and Hidari, the strongest two clones

Shikadai done restrained Jura and pulled his branches apart to free Himawari

Inojin saved Himawari and bought them time to get away from the village

Chocho pushed Jura out of the way to make his bijuu bomb miss and expanded herself when Inojins bird was hit to cushion everybodies fall.

Himawari awakens Kuramas power

Sarada remembers shes an Uchiha with the sharingan who can dodge and react accordingly

Kawaki got his brain back and prioritized Himawari's safety over hunting down Boruto.

The difference between when Boruto was involved and when he wasn't is night and day. Again its no fault of his own, but it seems like the writers cannot make Boruto shine without dragging everyone else down, and the only way everyone else will shine is if Boruto is FORCED outta the way.

Naruto had yelled in your ear as he had try to gently shake you awake but you wouldn't budge so he came to the last resort.

Yelling like an mad-man.

"EHH WHO THE FUCK IS IN MY HOUSE??!" You had gotten up to Naruto's yelling and immediately in self defense, you had grabbed the 'intruder' by the shirt and thrown them out of your room.

Naruto immediately was knocked out but was some what okay. He shook his head to stay awake. He soon  looked up to see your hair flying and you about to punch the lights out of him.

"EHEEHH ITS ME ITS ME NARUTO!!" He said quickly as he shielded himself with his arms. He waited for his death but soon meet with you talking

"Oh! Hey Naruto what you doin here?" You said.

Your entire mood changed made which made Naruto sweatdropped 'man [Y/n]-chan sure is scary sometimes...' he thought

As his best friend you made sure this boy had drip going out as since you got paid with some money working at Ichiraku Ramen, you were happy at what Naruto was wearing.

Naruto was basically wearing a white shirt with a orange fox in the middle of the shirt, and  light blue shorts. While you had an outfit that matched his. (You could imagine how the outfit looks)

"....isn't this like what couples do" naruto mumbled

"N-NOTHIN!" Naruto exclaimed as he blushed at the thought.

"Ight!" You said as you giggled

You and Naruto were hanging out in the village, talking and asking about where to go for a while. "HEY LETS GET SOME ICHIRAKU RAMEN, MY TREAT!" Naruto suggested as he pointed to himself with his thumb.

You were thinking about it.

"Ya know...Yeah that doesn't sound too bad."

"YIPPEE!! You wont regret this!" Naruto exclaimed and grabbed your hand with your soft/rough hand. He blushed at the feeling of your hand, as you both are smiling and laughing.

Soon after you made it to the ramen shop, still holding hands. The old man, Teuchi Ichiraku saw you and Naruto and smiled softly. "Ah Naruto my boy, I see you brought your girlfriend again." 

You blushed at the statement as you let go of Naruto's hand and started to sway side to side while cupping the sides of your cheeks. "Heyyy I can't be that cute heheh." 

Naruto pinched your cheek as in a way to get your attention. "Stop lying [n/n], you are adorable." He said looking serious.

"Also old man, they don't have a specific gender. SO THATS WHY THEY ARE GOING TO BE MY LOVER IN THE FUTURE!"

Before he could get one more word in you bonked him in the head.

"EHH NARU PLEASE DONT YELL SOMETHING LIKE THAT, YA HEAR!!" your face felt warmer as you looked away from the boy "but it's true though.." Naruto mumbled

Teuchi laughed at the duo, or should I say couple in his mind.  "Cmon kids let's get your feast on!"

After Naruto had 15 bowls, you had 20 to show off your dominance. Naruto promised as he did and paid teuchi.

"How about dessert Naruto!" You wanted to end this day with some type of sweet food in your stomach. "Sure [Y/N]-chan, what do you wanna have?" As he was finna pull out his wallet, but you held down his hand. Naruto looked up at you confused.

"I wouldn't want my future 'husband' to go broke huh." You teased Naruto as payback at what happened at Ichiraku Ramen.

Naruto face immediately went red as his legs started to wobble. "Ehhhh..hehhehehe, OF COURSE! Cause when I become hokage I'll be able to get you anything you want [y/n]-chan!" He said. And he meant it all.

"Now now, naru. You need me to be a independent person one day. So don't waste you money on me, ya hear?"

my mom and i mostly agree on shipping stuff since im the person who is showing her the shows, though in non-gay media she's gotten really good at picking up on shit before i even tell her that i think they are gay lolol.

one of her favorite movies has been brokeback mountain since it came out. she's ride or die there. she's also really big on juwon/dongsik from beyond evil, which was one of the ones she got on her own. sent me like 2am texts just spiraling about how in love they are when she first watched the show. she's fucking HAUNTED by them. and then just like kurodachi from cherry magic, patpran from bbs, ida/aoki frm kieta hatsukoi and stuff like that. every time we watch natsuyuu now she makes a comment about how tanuma and natsume are in love. she's a jarchie truther. by proxy a momoyuki lover because i dont shut up about them to her. she got mad at me when i told her sasunaru wasnt canon bc she thought naruto was a gay love story. there's never really been a something ive shown her where she hasn't been super engaged with gay people being in love, so we generally align. she has some of her own things that i dont have a list of but if it is a show (ugly betty, jane the virgin, greys anatomy, shows like that) she's seen and there are gay people you can trust that she's like Sigh...<3333

however we do have one major point of conflict and it is that she is a larry. like we get into arguments about it sometimes genuinely like she gets MAD when i tell her its not real and like literally just yesterday i told her to go watch some larry videos and calm down when she was getting anxious about the weather. she did that all on her own literally one day i just got a random text from her asking me if i think they were in love and now i regularly get lectured about them. maddening i must say!

Tyler Kennedy Strand. This lil guy. Just came and kicked in my door and set a fire in my heart (what a bad firefighter/paramedic). I just love how caring, scrappy, beautifully complex he is. My obsessions are eternal so welcome to eternity with me TK.

Naruto Uzumaki. Listen? Find someone more golden-hearted and stupidly in love with his best friend. My first true character love.

Kurt Hummel. Sung his way into my heart, appalled me with most of his fashion choices and is an overall forever favorite.

Robin Scherbatsky. I don't think we'd ever get along in real live but I loved to see the portrayal and growth of her throughout the series and to see strong women be so nuanced.

Vi. I just love her entire arc of being a big caring sister who makes mistakes and constantly fights to keep the people she loves safe.

Carlos Reyes. Only wanted to do one character for a show but sorry, his cow-eyes made me rethink. Gotta love a character who is so wonderfully supportive and anxious and flawed but never not loving.

Dipper Pines. Realizing I like so many animated characters? But yeah, I was the kid who always thought she was soooo smart and be so uncool at the same time lol

I remember one of the girls I used to be friends with in high school kept mercilessly hating on Jin Kazama and she always called him "selfish", "war criminal", and "autistic n*zi". She was an insane Ragna the Bloodedge and Sasuke Uchiha fangirl who got pissy that someone on twitter/reddit/youtube dare compare two characters she loves to a character she hates. She one day went on a tangent saying something like "Sasuke Uchiha deserves better than being compared to Jin!!! Sasuke risked his life to save Naruto's ass in the Land of Waves arc, Sasuke only killed like what 3 people (danzo, orochimaru and deidara are bad ppl anyways), and Sasuke loves his beloved Uchiha family and wants to avenge them. Jin is a selfish sociopath who wants to kill his entire bloodline because of 2 people and he showed no remorse for killing Jinpachi and millions of people!!! Jin doesn't give a shit about Hwoarang, he would let Hwoarang die like how he left Hwoarang to rot after Hwoarang risked his life to save him in Tekken 7!! Jin never suffered in life as much as Sasuke, Jin got to live a normal childhood with his mom for 15 years, got to live in some fancy rich ass mansion with his grandpa, and his mom was actually alive all along and came back anyways!! Sasuke was a child abuse victim who was tortured by his older brother when he was only 7 years old, lived life alone in an abandoned home where his parents died, and Sasuke's dead Uchiha clan never got revived they're still dead. Ragna erased himself from existence to protect those he loves and give humanity a good future!!! Ragna should not compared to Jin either!!". She fucking drew poorly drawn fanart of Sasuke decapitating Jin Mortal Kombat fatality style, and then making out with Kazuya in front of Jin's corpse. Don't worry, I'm no longer friends with her. Sadly this girl and other ppl hating on him saying "haha emo edgelored"/"war" jokes for the billionth time gave me very negative first impressions of Jin back then. Now after I finally started getting into Tekken playing Tekken 8 and the older games like Tekken 2, 3, 4, and 5 and learning that it's Harada's fault for fucking up his character in Tekken 6 to prop up Lars and Jin was OOC in that game compared to his character depiction in previous games - he's now my second favorite character in Tekken behind Lili. It pisses me off too, he's not selfish because he saved Hwoarang in Tekken 4 and he is shown to be supportive of people (supportive of Xiaoyu in her Tekken 4 ending, and he's also supportive of Phoenix Wright in Project X Zone 2).

Honestly hearing stories like this makes me glad I was homeschooled lol. Like OKAY I def knew ppl like this as a teenager, but only online, through the interwebs!! I've been blessed to have never known other teens like this irl LOL. And honestly, maybe it's just me but... I never get viciously hating FICTIONAL CHARACTERS to the point of drawing hate art of it or whatnot. Or to those nasty rpers who will actually follow the character they hate, just to have their muse be cruel to that character or even kill 'em or whatever. It's just... I can't imagine doing it! I don't think I have any characters in mind that I legit hate. Not even the bad ones that I don't like. I just don't like them and that's it lol. And I know these were high schoolers, but like... I don't even remember being like that during my teen years either. I might've been a lil like that as a kid as I was more annoying as a child (we all were lol) but... I still don't really remember haha.

Also Jin didn't want to kill his ENTIRE bloodline lol. Like iirc, even in 6, I don't think he's ever tried to seriously kill Lars? (Could be wrong about that I legit don't remember lol lol) Like Jin wanted to kill Heihachi and Kazuya because at the time, he legit thought they were the ONLY ones of the bloodline (along with himself) and well... they were time proven to be EVIL, therefore... yes, Jin was right, his entire bloodline (except for himself) was evil at the time lol. That was before Jinpachi and Lars were properly introduced in the series.

AND LIKE. LIKE. Some ppl do talk about how it's weird that Jin never showed remorse for killing Jinpachi but LIKE. I am pretty sure it's CANON that JINPACHI IS GRATEFUL TO JIN. Much like how Jin wanted to kill himself in TK4 to stop his Devil from taking over, Jinpachi wanted to be killed to stop the monster / demon possessing him from destroying the world. Like canonically, it was something both Jin and Jinpachi knew had to happen.

I get tired of those acting like Jin never "suffered." It's like yeah, Jin DID have a good childhood up until he was 15 years old. Jin still spend most of his teen years being abused by an old wrinkly fuck, only to be killed by said old wrinkly fuck. Of course, the stupid game's writing did ruin a lot of Jin's suffering. (His mother isn't actually dead, so like... yeah. But I guess he still grieved her and she's been missing for years. His devil isn't actually bad so he was rejecting something that was actually beneficial LOL LOL LOL) But... that's just Tek writing for you. If we forget a lot of the stupid retcons, we can say Jin had a good amount of suffering. HELL, he was created TO BE a tragic hero.

I'm not gonna go on to explain, but I have stated on this blog many reasons why the "Jin is selfish / doesn't care about anyone" has always been a misconception, even prior to Tekken 8 where he gets a lotta friend buddies. But I am glad he's one of your favorites lol. Really, I feel like MORE people would love Jin if they actually looked at him with critical thinking, rather than just... accept the rancid writing of Tek6 and be like "yup, he's a bad character!" Like Jin's a REALLY damn good character prior to Tek6. And when ppl actually look back on those games, play his stories, really pay attention to his character, they would know that.

You know I don't know. Was the kazekage position hereditary? Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

I don't think Sakura would be in line for it, though. In my head, it was always Mebuki and Karura, the sand siblings' mother, who were related. How closely related is up to you guys.

But lmao them having a grudge against Sasuke. Maybe that's how they ended up on the retrieval arch (seriously they had to he close for them to come to the rescue like that. Sand and Leaf are canonically three days journey from one another) The sand siblings were coming to visit and oh hell no. This dude made their cousin cry. Where's he at? Don't worry Sakura we'll go help Naruto drag him back to the village. Years later Temari sends a message to Kankuro and Gaara to hurry their asses up to visit Konoha. Not only do they got Shikadai to visit but Sakura came home with Uchiha and they have a baby. Gaara and Kankuro both curse because now there's no way of getting rid of Uchiha. Sakura why? Bad enough Temari procreated with that lazy ass Nara. They could have found you a nice guy in the Sand village.

Sakura is also pissed off when the Akatsuki took Gaara and poisoned Kankuro. You poisoned her cousin and then KIDNAPPED HER FAVORITE ONE?! Oh, someone was definitely gonna die. Her taking out a missing sand nin was just a bonus to her cousins' village.

Sakura didn't leave Gaara's side for three days after he got back to the village. She claimed it was to make everything was okay medically since he came back to life an all but really she was kinda scared to leave her family member alone.

Now fair warning I do actually like Matsuri and do ship her with Gaara. I think it's cute. I know some of you get weird about it. So stop here if you don't want to see GaarMatsu. You get weird about it I will use the block button.

At some point during Sasuke and Sakura's journey they make a stop in Sand where almost the whole time they're there Sakura is teaming up with Kankuro to match make Gaara and Matsuri.

Gaara will never admit it but Sasuke kinda helped in this area. Both Gaara and Sasuke are more reserved in their emotions. During one drunken night Gaara asks Sasuke how he was able to let go and show his love to Sakura. Gaara doesnt say it but he wants to be able to do that too with Matsuri. To he able to show her he loves her. Sasuke admits he is still learning but it's a process he's working on together with Sakura.

The next day during one of Kankaruo and Sakura's schemes that involve poor oblivious Matsuri Gaara listens to Sasuke's advice and takes the first step in showing his love to Matsuri.

Sakura is ecstatic, Sasuke is happy Sakura is happy.

Slow Burn

This is the 3rd story I've written with Tori and Elena. Excited to feel like it's sorta finished and I hope y'all enjoy it.

Overstimulation from the noise of the crowd and the stench of alcohol had shoved me outside of the bar and onto a bench. I'd folded my legs into my body like some kind of human pretzel, my head buried between my knees.  This was our other favorite karaoke bar--the one we had to drive for thirty minutes down long and winding country roads to reach, to be greeted by a sky full of stars we'd never glimpse in the city.  There were horses and cows along the way--though it was usually too dark to see them properly.  An old strip mall on a tiny lot nestled in the woods housed a small pub, nail salon, and a corner store.  The salon was closed and business at the store was slow, so sitting out here before I got overwhelmed and ruined the night for myself seemed like a solid plan.  

"What's that?" I heard a young voice ask.  I looked up and saw a little boy in a Naruto t-shirt, probably 8 or 9, pointing at the side of the building near the corner store entrance.  At once I noticed a woman loading drinks and bags of ice into her trunk, and then turned my gaze to where the boy was pointing.  A scissor grinder, I thought.  What a funny name.  Neotibicen pruinosus.  It was my first of the season and it had chosen the wall as a spot to emerge from its exuviae.  

"That's a cicada," I told the boy before his mom could respond.   

"What's it doing?" he asked, stepping closer.  

"Don't touch yet.  It's just coming out of its shell.  It has to rest for a minute before it can fly off."

We watched as the neon green wings emerged, then spread to show a perfect webbed pattern.  The boy gasped.  I smiled sadly.

"Are you gay or something?" he asked suddenly, looking at me.

I stared, and my jaw opened a little.  

"Asher!" his mom scolded.  "We don't say things like that."

We don't say things like that because they're rude and presumptuous or because being gay is such an awful thing? I wondered.

The boy hesitated.  "I didn't think girls could like bugs," he said, shrugging.

"Bugs are so cool.  Anyone can like bugs," I told him with a smile.

His mom ushered him into the car, glancing at me with a tight smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.  No one said I'd done anything wrong, but it felt like I had.  It felt that way often--I could castigate myself over countless perceived crimes, unprompted.  Did the mom suspect anything?  My body was always tiny, and HRT had gifted me hips and B-cups...and seemingly even more strong emotions than before.  I liked to think my voice sounded like Katherine Hepburn's--or at least high enough that no one suspected.  And yet I almost expected the mom to tell me to stay away from her child over an innocent exchange.  Tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched their tail lights disappear into the night. It wasn't really the insecurities, however debilitating, that brought them but the memory of my dad.  It hadn't been a year since he passed suddenly, and we'd had a similar conversation about cicadas when I was young, minus the archaic views of gender roles.  I didn't think this little kid would trigger me when I hadn't cried over him in months, but grief is sneaky that way.

I practiced my breathing exercises in the quiet of the night for a few more minutes before I heard the door to the bar open and laughter funneled outside.  A few patrons came outside to smoke some weed.  "Girrrrll," Tori slurred.  "You gotta come back in.  We are next and you can't miss this.  Plus, you're set to go right after us.  Did you sign up for the Blondie song?"  She looked at my face.  "Are you ok Elena??" she asked.  I smiled and nodded.  She took my hand and helped me up.  I hugged her close to me, trying to see if I could feel her heart against mine, and I could in fact feel it racing.  I stayed there for a moment to count beats.

"I just heard Antonio call us!" Konnor said behind her, referring to the DJ, and I let go to see their garish pantsuit that shimmered even in the darkness outside.  They were really overdressed for this place, but it was charming anyhow.  I followed the two of them back into the bar, which was just as busy as before, but I felt a bit better prepared to endure the chaotic sights, sounds, and smells--especially if the weed stayed outside.

"I've been waiting for so long; now I've finally found someone to stand by me," Konnor sang, their alto voice just low enough to pull this off without sounding forced.  The crowd started screaming--this song seemed to transcend generations and appeal to people who weren't even born when Dirty Dancing was a hit.  The singers' voices mixed with the slinky synth and sax made me dream of swimming in a large pool with a waterfall, or floating down a lazy river.  Sometimes I was alone, and sometimes there was someone else, though the most intimate I got with the other person was listening to their heartbeat.  I could get lost in that fantasy and miss the whole point of the song, as I did with many songs.  I smiled proudly as if to say "those are my friends alright" when the crowd howled at Tori lifting Konnor almost like Patrick Swayze does Jennifer Grey in the film.  They'd practiced the move for months in anticipation of being able to show it off at karaoke.  Like me, Konnor was small and light enough to be picked up.  I didn't envy them, though I sometimes wondered how I was going to deal with their relationship long-term when I depended on Tori so much.  I'd lost track of how many months they'd been dating, and it was undoubtedly the most serious romantic relationship I'd seen Tori in, and the healthiest as well.  I had a feeling Konnor was going to be around for a long time, and I wasn't entirely certain how they'd feel about the intimacies I shared with their girlfriend.  But then there was the bigger picture--recognizing that when I watched them, I felt so certain I didn't want what they had, and yet this ache in my chest told me I didn't want to be alone, either.

I had saved the Blondie song for next time and asked Antonio if he'd bought the Fleetwood Mac song I'd asked for the previous time--"Sara."  It wasn't exactly a crowd pleaser, and though it did peak at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979, it's been largely forgotten outside the fandom.  It's not technically difficult, vocally, but there's so much longing and angst behind Stevie Nicks' delivery, not to mention Christine McVie's piano work.  "Drowning in the sea of love, where everyone would love to drown," I sang, trying to channel my inner Welsh witch.  It's a simple lyric from a song about loss...a failed romance or two, an abortion...life experiences I was sure I'd never have for myself. I wanted my sea of love nonetheless.  When I got near the end, I felt self-conscious at my favorite line: "There's a heartbeat, and it never really died."  I knew it was likely a metaphor for everything kept alive by the singer's devotion to it, but it felt literal for someone like me.  Mostly my friends and the DJ applauded this selection when I finished. It was never an ideal karaoke pick, but that was fine with me. I smiled broadly as I stepped off the stage.  It was a catharsis and that was all that really mattered.

Sober as a teetotaler, I drove them both to Konnor's apartment.  Once they were inside and I'd answered the latest text from my mom and checked my email, I started to back out of the driveway to head home myself, but jumped as I heard someone knock on my car window.  I looked up to see Konnor's goofy grin and cerulean bangs falling around their eyes.  They motioned for me to roll down the window, as though modern windows needed to be cranked.  But I understood.  "Uh, we were gonna play Cards Against Humanity or something.  It's more fun with at least 3 people, you know.  Or, kinda impossible without at least 3?  You can keep me company while Tori's in the shower," they continued.  "I mean, if you want.  Do you have work in the morning?"

"No, I'm off," I said, pausing to think.  Mollie was fine at home for a few more hours--I'd fed her and taken her outside right before we'd left for the bar.  Staying out a bit longer wouldn't hurt, even though I felt like I was intruding, and I didn't really feel up to conversation.  "Ok," I said finally, and Konnor stepped aside so I could follow them inside.  "We can take a walk and look at all the flowers," I sang out nervously, looking at the red and yellow Indian blankets on Konnor's porch.  They turned to look at me strangely.  "Kacey Musgraves," I said with an awkward laugh.

"I'm making tea if you want a cup," Konnor called from the kitchen as I sat on their couch and thumbed through a coffee table guidebook on local herbs.  

"That would be wonderful.  Just a touch of sugar or honey and I'll be happy," I supplied.  I tried not to be obvious as I glanced at the hallway, waiting for Tori to walk in.  I was so tired and that made it ten times more difficult to think of small talk with someone I was accustomed to being around only in Tori's presence.  I felt like I needed to be rescued by someone more familiar.

They sat down and handed me a mug with a uterus illustration on the side that said "Abortion is healthcare" in cursive font.  With a small smile, I looked up and finally noticed they'd had time to change into some Cowboy Bebop pajamas.  I started to bring up Kacey Musgraves again to ask if they knew about "Space Cowboy" when they reached over and touched my necklace lightly.  

"Is that a stethoscope?" they asked.

I gripped my pendant protectively.  "Yes...14K white gold," I said, immediately wondering why I felt the need to share such a detail.

Konnor took a sip of their tea and seemed to study my face, making me feel self-conscious.  When I didn't say anything because I felt conflicted about what to say next, they said, "Tori told me she had a friend who was a cardiophile.  All this time, I didn't realize it was you."

My eyes widened and my pulse quickened.  I didn't see this coming at all.  Did this mean they knew Tori and I listened to each other's hearts sometimes...and that was totally ok?  But then why wouldn't it be?

"I've never seen you wear this necklace.  I've been hoping to figure out which of her friends was a cardiophile so I could thank them.  Was hoping she would just tell me, but Tori said it was up to that person, which drove me insane because I've never met another cardiophile!"

It took a moment for me to register the last clause of that sentence.  Konnor really felt the same way?

"Imagine the relief when I was nervously showing her one of my stethoscopes, all stuttering and sputtering, trying to explain how much I wanted to listen to her and why, when she just smiled that adorable smile and said, 'Oh you're into that, too!  I know all about that from a friend.'  It was so much better than my last girlfriend, who literally started laughing at me.  Or the one before that, who got uncomfortable and said it just made her worry about death."

I was speechless, but smiling, at least. "I know you're aroace, but have you told other people about this? Other friends?" they asked, scooting closer to me on the couch.

"Oh yes," I said immediately.  "But no one has ever been as cool about it as Tori, that's for sure."

My defenses fell almost all at once as Konnor described their stethoscope collection to me and inquired about my own.  Before I knew it, we were asking all the usual questions I was used to only being asked online by strangers hundreds of miles away--what valve is your favorite to listen at, to be listened to at?  Do you prefer stethoscopes to an ear to the chest?  How do you feel about PVCs and irregular heartbeats in general?  Do you like any other medical devices?  (I found out Konnor had a pulse ox--something I'd never used because I was strictly a stethoscope gal).  

Konnor suddenly grabbed my hand, caught up in the conversation.  "I want to share this with you sometime, if that's ok?  I can't believe we both feel so strongly about it!"  I squeezed their hand back, happy they were leading this conversation because I felt so overwhelmed my head was spinning.  I knew Tori so well it felt natural to be so intimate, but Konnor?  Our friendship was so new by comparison.  It was wonderful to feel so understood, but I wasn't ready to take that next step with them.  What an unexpected paradox.

"Do you prefer to listen, or to be listened to more?  I love both but I'm a sucker for being on the listening end of the scope," they said.  I started to open my mouth but stopped.

"You finally told them, Elena?!?" Tori exclaimed, walking up behind us wearing her own set of pajamas.

It took me a minute to register what she meant. "Oh they kinda figured it out," I said with a chuckle.

Tori beamed and threw herself down on the couch beside Konnor, grabbing their other hand.  "I've been anxiously waiting for you two to geek out about this together...but I vowed not to 'out' either of you to the other."

The Bangtan Gal Chapter 63- RUN

Chapter Summary: BTS Film Run. Jungkook's secret is almost revealed. Jennie and Jungkook help the members when they get drunk at the dorm.

Author's Note: Just some angst regarding Run filming because of Jen's dark storyline! So just giving a warning! Other than that, should be a fluff fest! Jungkook fluff!!

To celebrate Halloween, the members had a Halloween Party for ARMY on a live stream on V-Live. Suga was dressed up as Naruto, J-Hope as Darth Vader, Jimin as Mickey Mouse, Jungkook as Konan, Jin as a Pumpkin, V as a vampire and Rap Monster as Gudetama. Jennie had chosen to be Janelle Monae during her Electric Lady era.

Jennie loved the Electric Lady era. Janelle Monae is someone that she adores a lot thanks to her uplifting lyrics and confidence for being a black woman. The empowerment and embracing of that natural black beauty. She was everything to her.

Electric Lady is also one of her favorite songs as she wore a replica of her outfit thanks to a stylist back in America. Her jacket was customized with JW carved on it and Electric Lady on the back.

After performing Dope, the members introduced themselves and welcomed ARMY to the Halloween Party with BTS. Out of all the members, she thought Jin looked the cutest with his pumpkin costume.

When it was her turn to introduce herself, she was so pleased to see such a positive reception and to see that ARMY all over the world came to the event.

The day before the party, she had gotten sick and caught a sore throat, so she was advised not to speak much during the broadcast. ARMY was very understanding and gave her well wishes. Her voice sounded deeper with her sore throat and her vocal cords were aching lightly, so she remained silent, watching the members and lip synced her verses for their songs. But throughout the broadcast, the members would tease her about her sudden deep voice, making good fun out of the situation.

She honestly felt like hell during this broadcast but she still wanted to do it with the group. She had been drinking hot tea with lemon and honey, in a cute Halloween mug throughout the broadcast to soothe her throat.

The broadcast had activities such as random dance for their songs and express your body. Later on in the broadcast, the members sat down to check out questions to BTS from around the world from ARMY. The majority of the fans that asked questions were foreigners.

”What ghost are you afraid of the most?” J-Hope read. “Please imitate it.”

“I’m afraid of J-Hope now at this moment,” Rapmon answered.

“My father is the most scary existence in the world,” Suga added. “More than a ghost.”

“Who has the biggest hand?” J-Hope read the next question. “Let’s do a tournament!”

As the members compared hands, V continued to beat everyone on having the largest hand, going through each member. Once it was up to Jimin, he got out of his seat and tried to avoid getting his hand compared to his while ARMY laughed at him.

“Jimin has tiny hands~!” Jungkook teased.

“At least my hands are bigger than Jennie’s!” Jimin explained.

“At least my pinky finger is bigger than yours.” she cleared her throat and sipped her tea as the members laughed loudly at him.

“I should hide all her smarties so she won’t have any smarties to eat for Halloween.”

After walking back to the members, Jimin took off his Mickey Mouse glove and compared his hand against V’s as they started laughing at how tiny it was compared to his.

“V is the biggest,” J-Hope announced.

“Let me see your hand against mine.” Jen placed her hand against V’s. The difference was just as great as him and Jimin. “Wow, this is absurd.”

The next question was, “What was the hardest moves? Show them.”

“Oh God, them hip thrusts in dope. I cannot. It took me forever. I was the last one to perfect it.” Jen answered. She stood up and performed it over loud screams from ARMY. “A girl be struggling with that. I feel like I look awkward.”

For the Jacket Shooting of HYYH PT.2, Jennie wore a white leather jacket with various pins on them and black jeans, including the same white butterfly necklace. She had taken photos with Rap Monster with spray cans, acting rebellious and fierce.

Once Jin began taking photos on a high wall, Jennie started to hype him up, making him laugh.

“Yes, Jin! Work! Show that profile! Handsome worldwide! Beautiful! Stunning! Absolutely stunning!”

“Jennie is my biggest fan.” He happily said.

When they were filmed on the street, Jin, J-Hope, Jungkook and Jen were shot riding bikes with bright smiles on their faces.

“And...action!”

While filming for the Prologue of their next comeback, the director decided to have the members film various scenes to show more of their stories in the HYYH era and since there can only be so many scenes in a music video, they can just add the extra scenes in the upcoming DVD of memories for 2015.

For the scene, the setting turned to Jennie yelping as she got shoved to the floor by her ex-boyfriend, wearing the same white dress from I Need U.

She had just announced that she was leaving for good but it didn’t sit well with him. 

Jen and the actor had practiced this scene various times to get it right because they had him having his hands around her neck, aiming to choke her. Darker than she expected but they managed to get the scene right after a few corrections.

“Please...” she gasped out as her eyes teared up, grabbing his hands as she desperately tried to make him let go of her neck.

“I’m sorry, I can’t let you leave me.” she heard him as her vision began to fade.

This was it, she was about to become deceased as she felt herself getting weaker. 

She should’ve listened to Jin. 

She should have never gone this route. A never-ending cycle where those around her get hurt.

She suddenly remembered the knife that she had and found it on the ground near her. Risking it, she used one of her arms to reach out for the knife.

Just centimeters...

Centimeters close to the knife...

Almost there...

She was fading fast, would she be able to get it?

Feeling the knife, she quickly grabbed it and struck him with it, stunning him. Scared, she quickly pushed him off of her, scrambling away with eyeliner running from her eyes thanks to the tears.

She gasped deeply, trying to catch her breath as she touched her neck.

His body remained motionless as she found herself in a state of shock, noticing that blood was all over her and her white dress. 

Wearing white, she didn’t feel pure. She had taken someone’s life. 

With trembling hands, she grabbed her phone, sobbing at what she had done and wondering if she should call a friend or the police.

Later, on the set, the members prepared to film for the Prologue of HYYH. With Jen’s character for this era, she was the closest to Jin, linked with him. Jennie felt like her character for this era was an absolute hot mess who could not seem to get out of trouble no matter how much she wanted to help others and stubbornly didn’t want help from anyone. 

The first location was in the woods, in an abandoned pool. Jennie wore a long-sleeved brown hoodie and the same white butterfly necklace. She had an acoustic guitar on her back and stood with Jin as he recorded the boys having fun around V who was lying on the mattress.

Jungkook had turned around to point them out. “Oh, it’s Jin hyung and Jennie.” he grinned while Jennie waved at them and met up with them, embracing each other.

‘You can smile as long as we’re together’

The group would run around and play with each other as Jin filmed and joined in activities like arm wrestling with Jungkook. One moment included everyone sitting around Jennie as she strummed along on her guitar and they sang out random songs, bonding. Following, she caught Jin filming her while she adjusted her bun. Turning around, she grinned and waved, gesturing for him to come over to her. As soon as he grew close, she snatched his camera and ran as he chased after her.

As filming went on, the members were sitting while V had stepped on top of a building a few feet higher than everyone. Jennie climbed up to meet him there, patting his back and looking up at the sky with him.

At night, the members stood around a bonfire, watching what Jin had filmed on a projector. Jen had sat next to Jin who offered her and J-Hope pretzels. Jungkook decided to lay on Yoongi’s lap while he was playing with a lighter.

“We...shall we go here?” Jin asked, showing the photo to everyone. 

Everyone agreed while Jungkook blew out Yoongi’s fire.

As time went on, Jen rolled her eyes when she felt her phone vibrate yet again. She checked the time and sighed. 

“He’s going to be mad that I’m not home yet. I’ll be right back.” she excused herself and a distance away from the bonfire to answer the call.

“What....? Why now? You’re acting a bit paranoid.” she paced around, getting annoyed. “I do love you but-listen-I...you have been blowing up my phone all day, relax! It’s not even like that...really it’s not...of course, I love you. I don’t get why you need to know every single little detail on where I’m at, I said I was fine. Listen, we don’t need to hang around each other 24/7-you are unbelievable, you know what?”

“Fine...okay.” she finally said, defeated, after a long period of listening to what her significant other had to say. 

Hanging up, she wiped her tears and blew out her cheeks. Sniffing, she put her phone away and placed her hands on her hips. After pulling herself together, she turned around, bewildered when she discovered Jin watching her with worried eyes.

No words were said as her stomach dropped, realizing that he had been listening for a while. 

“...H-how long have you been standing there?” she spoke nervously.

He frowned. “Is everything all right?”

“Yeah, yeah. Just a disagreement.”

“Jennie.” he grabbed her by the wrist and he noticed that she had winced in pain. “Are you okay?”

“Y-yeah, I’m fine.” she pulled away, rubbing her wrist.

“You look in pain.”

“It’s nothing. I have to go. I’ll see you guys, tomorrow, okay?” she fake smiled and left while he looked back at her with concern.

The next morning, Jin drove to the beach, with everyone in his truck, enjoying the beach and nice weather. They all would run and jump around while Jin continued to film. When the guys were far away, Jennie took off her shoes and walked near the ocean, getting her feet wet, and watching the view with a smile. Jin had met up with her, placing his video camera down and walked with her, taking some photos together. Jumping on his back, he had given her a piggyback ride.

That was until the rest of the guys ran over and succeeded in shoving them into the water.

“You’re all dead!” she shouted, running after them with Jin.

After chasing them around, Jennie tripped and Jin grabbed her by the arm, causing her to hiss in pain.

“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” he exclaimed.

“N-no, no. I’m good.”

“Don’t you want to take that off? It’s really hot and you’re wearing a long-sleeved hoodie, I don’t want you to pass out.” he lifted up her sleeve but saw a bruise. “What happened?”

“I just fell, okay?” she averted her eyes and pulled the sleeve down.

“What did he do?”

“Nothing.”

“He did this to you.”

“I just fell.”

He looked at her seriously. “I really think that you should leave him.”

“It was just a grab, it was my fault anyway. We’re fine, he’s a good guy-“

“That is not your fault. I can’t stand here and let him do that to you.”

“Jin. Okay. I’ll leave him, all right? Please just don’t get involved, okay?”

“I’m sorry but I have to.”

“Please, don’t. And please don’t tell the others.”

“Why won’t you let us help you? You help us. All the time.”

“Because I don’t really need it. I got it all handled, okay? I can do this alone. He said he’ll never do it again. It was an accident. But I’ll leave, okay? Let’s just drop it.”

“I can’t drop it when you’re hurting.”

“When I’m with you guys, I’m happy and can smile as wide as I can. Being with you all, makes me forget the negativity. I’ll be all right, okay? I’ll leave him soon.” she reassured him.

Once arriving at the gas station, Rapmon put gas in the car while Jen sat in the passenger seat. Rapmon grabbed Jin’s camera and took a photo of them with Suga joining in from the backseat. Once Rapmon got back inside the truck in the back, they checked out the photo. Meanwhile, Jimin was asleep in the truck while J-Hope placed snacks in the back. Looking out the window, Jennie turned and looked sad, having a lot on her mind.

The next day, they all sat by the pier, watching the sunrise. Taking a look around, V turned his attention to the large platform and started climbing it.

“What is he doing...?” Jen murmured and stood up, going to follow him. Once she made it up, she looked down at the sea.

It was a long way down. Something that she felt like she wasn’t ready for as she turned her attention to V’s back.

“Hey, think about this,” she called out, anxiously.

All she had gotten in return was a fond smile from him after he looked down at the guys. Once he had jumped off the platform, she had reached out her hand, yelling “Wait!” as he dived into the sea, jumping into the unknown.

When it was time to film for the Run MV, Jen sat on the train tracks with Jungkook, watching Rapmon film. Jungkook had been playing with one of the dogs on the set to pass the time. 

She turned to see that big smile on his face as he tried to avoid getting licked and giggled when he ended up falling on his back with the dog showering him with love. Suddenly, their dog Tony, and the other dog he was playing with, ran up to her and Tony energetically jumped on her, giving her love as she laughed.

“It’s biting my hand.” Jungkook gestured to one of the dogs biting his hand. “Chew it up!"

“Guys, Tony has gotten bigger, huh?” Jen asked on camera,

“He still loves me the most by the way.”

“Who said that?” she asked as he stuck his tongue out at her.

After watching the dogs run away to play around, Jen stood up and prepared for their shoot, which was running...a lot.

“I’m just glad I have my comfortable Nikes on. And I’m still patiently waiting for Nike to hit a chick up for an endorsement.” she crossed her fingers.

Running was a common theme for this music video as the members ran through a tunnel, on a bridge, on the streets, and in the fields. After running throughout the day, Jennie and Jin were called out the get filmed in a dark alley. Although a majority of what everyone was shooting might not be in the music video, they can still be filmed for the future memories of 2015 DVD. 

In the music video, Jennie is shown having a rough time. Since it was night, she was filmed walking to a dark alleyway with Jin following her closely, making sure that she was safe. Surrounding herself with a group of sketchy people, joining the activities they were doing, she leaned up against the wall, with her eyes getting red. In a daze with smoke coming out of her mouth, she wanted to numb the pain that was going on with her and the drama happening back at her boyfriend’s place.

“Act more out of it.” The director called out as she followed his commands. “Cut!”

“I'm not really supposed to be out here this late doing stuff like this. I have to act like I’m hallucinating. Hopefully, I’ll do a good job. It may take a few tries.” she mentioned on camera.

“Just do what I do, ahhhhhh!” Jin yelled out jokingly, causing her to playfully punch him.

When filmed again, Jennie had mentally prepared for the crucial part of filming. Holding her head, she frequently started looking around and flinching.

“What did you give me!?” she panicked, turning to the group.

“What do you mean? Just relax.” she heard them reply.

She let out a scream and kneeled, holding her head tighter. “Make it stop, make it stop!” she screamed, beginning to cry while Jin quickly rushed in to help her, as the group ran off.

“Jennie! Jennie!” he grabbed a hold of her as she tried to push him away.

“Get away from me!”

“It’s me! It’s me! Look! It’s not real! It’s not real!” he hugged her to try to calm her down as she continued to shake and freak out. Jin quickly looked at what she had smoked and realized that it was spiked. “I got you. Everything is going to be okay.” he lifted her up bridal style and quickly left the area with her, to get her help.

“Cut!”

“Was that okay?” she asked after getting set down by Jin.

“Very good job, both of you.” The director praised.

“Ayeeee!” she high fived Jin and jumped up to bump her chest with him.

“I was a little nervous for that scene. But she can cry on the spot. It’s really impressive.” Jin praised.

Later that night, the members gathered around in the alley. 

“I think I ran for half a day and slept for the other half,” Jin said on camera.

“My feet are comfortable as heck because of these Nikes,” Jen added

“For goodness sake, someone get her that endorsement, so she can shut up.” Yoongi walked past them, making them laugh out loud.

For the scene, they were filmed acting like punks in a dark alley, acting drunk and goofy while Jin filmed them.

“Yo, why you gotta pull the lollipop out your mouth like that?” she chuckled and mimicked V’s actions. 

For the individual shots, Jen was filmed stomping around aggressively and kicking random things around.

The next morning, the members are back around Jamsu Bridge to continue getting filmed running. The day consisted of the members eating burgers and playing around.

“Dasi run, run, run,” Jen whined as she continued to get filmed running for the 100th time.

Jen and Jin were together for another scene, as requested by the director, although they weren’t sure yet if they wanted to put it in the music video. 

The scene had Jen look like she wanted to jump off the bridge. Her hands were on the railing as she looked down at the water. All Jin had to do was yell and grab her back so she could be on the ground again.

“Action!”

“Don’t!” Jin yelled, rushing over to her as he gripped her tightly. Hastily lifting her body over the railing, he placed her down as they both fell to their knees. Roughly grabbing a hold of her shoulders, he shook her repeatedly, catching her off guard. “Are you crazy!? Are you crazy!?”

The way he shook her so violently, made her tear up and start to cry, adding to the acting. “I-I’m sorry!” she wrapped her arms around him as he hugged her tightly.

“Cut!”

Wiping her tears, Jen let out a laugh as she heard Jin repeatedly apologize for shaking her so hard. 

“It’s fine, it’s fine!”

They were then requested one more scene to film as SeokJen were told to improvise that Jen was angry at him for trying to help her with the problems with her boyfriend and wanted her to yell “I hate you.”

“Action!”

Jennie angrily walked up to Jin and shoved him. “Why would you do that!?”

Jin looked shocked and his facial expression caused her to burst out in laughter while he began giggling, holding his heart. 

“Gosh, so aggressive,” he said.

“His reaction was priceless!”

Getting back in character, they tried it again as she shoved him and yelled, “Why would you do that!?”

Jin couldn’t even respond because he cracked a smile and started to laugh with her again. This was going to take a while.

“Get all your giggles out.” The director told them, amused.

“HA-HA-HA!” Jen exaggerated.

“HA-HA-HA?” Jin copied her.

“HA-HA!”

“HA-HA?”

“HA-HA!”

“HA-HA!” he nodded in approval and high fived her.

Finally getting it all out of their system, they went back to being serious, finally getting the scene right.

Storming up to Jin, she shoved him angrily, yelling, “Why would you do that!?”

“Do what!?”

“Why did you go and confront him!?”

“He needed to be talked to-“

“You’re ruining everything!” she shouted.

“I’m trying to get you out of this!” he shouted back.

“Oh my God!” she placed her hands over her head. “How many times do I have to tell you that I can take care of myself!? I got this! I’m fine!”

He shook his head sadly. “You really are going to choose him over us...?”

The way he said that so dejected made her heart ache as she hesitated for a moment, swallowing the lump in her throat. 

This wasn’t acting anymore to them. 

It took Jennie a while to speak again but the director kept filming, enjoying the scene.

Jennie exhaled to try to keep her composure, shakily responding as her throat tightened, “I love him.”

“We love you.”

Unable to fight the tears from her eyes, the tears began to fall as her chest felt heavy. She was not supposed to cry for this scene, she was supposed to look angry. Jen couldn't even say the "I hate you" line yet.

“Jin-“

“No, we love you. Our love for you is healthy. He doesn’t love you. What you’re dealing with isn’t love. Your family misses you and is worried sick about you. You ran away from home for him. Left a scholarship and great grades for him. Your life was all planned out, you had everything you dreamed of...and you threw it away for him.”

“Look-“

“We all miss you as well, you are never around us anymore. Whatever he did or said to you that is making you scared, it ends today. You want to help others but then you don’t want to accept help from us. Don’t be like that, please. When are you going to realize that you are not alone here? And you have people that love and care about you and will always be there for you? When are you going to let others guide you and help you through this?”

“Jin...”

“If I could just...take that pain away from you, I’d do it in a heartbeat. You deserve so much more. I know you’re hurting. I know you’re scared. I’m scared because if you don’t leave him, something bad might happen. He is trying to isolate you from us. I know and I refuse to let that happen. I can’t let him do this to you. Just let us help you, we can get you away from him, you’ll be safe with us-

“Enough!” she shouted at him. “I hate you!” she shoved him back as he looked back hurt.

‘Damn that facial expression...’ she thought as she looked at his heartbroken appearance. “I-I can’t hang with you guys, anymore. I’m leaving, okay?”

“No! Don’t do this.” he grabbed her. “Please-“

“Stop! I’m done! Don’t look for me. Okay? Tell the guys I said goodbye.” she quickly ran off. 

“Jennie!” he ran after her but then lost her as he sat down and looked regretful.

“Cut!”

As soon as the director said that, Jin and Jennie quickly embraced. The scene seemed to have impressed the director because he decided to keep the entire scene. He even had the camera crew continue filming them hugging the way that they were as Jin wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.

The next shooting location was the tunnel. The members were blocking the way of drivers with their car and everyone was screaming and yelling at them.

“Two, three!”

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

They scream at the cars, running around chaotically.

“VIOLENCE!” Jen got on top of a car and stomped on it while Jimin threw water and other items on another car. 

After her individual shot was finished, she quickly got off and bowed. “Sorry about that.” she made sure the car didn’t have a dint or anything in it.

And yet again, the members ran back into the car while Jin drove off.

“Out of all the music videos we’ve done, this is the most exhausting,” Jen said on camera.

After filming the loud party scene, hanging around with red cups as Jin filmed, the members sat around while Jin made a pyramid with cards. As soon as he finished, V smashed the cards away, making a sad expression appear on Jin’s face.

“Yo, seriously?” Jen frowned, scolding V for his actions. 

A scene was filmed of her giving Jin another pack of cards to boost his mood and they ended up creating a bigger pyramid and taking photos together with it. The next scene was a pillow fight scene. And of course, Jennie was the first target because she felt a huge impact and feathers flying around her head and she turned around to see Yoongi was the culprit. Grabbing her pillow, they ended up hitting each other and their hair got disheveled and filled with feathers.

“It is going to take forever to get this out of my black hair. The things we do for music videos.” she chuckled softly, trying to pull pieces of feathers out of her hair.

With just a couple of scenes left, they filmed a part in the bathroom, pulling Jimin in to suffer by tossing him in the tub, and getting him soaked. The director called out Suga to go in next as the members pushed him in. After he got soaked, he sighed and looked at his wet clothes. 

“I told you not to put me in. Gosh. These are my jeans.” he complained, getting called Yunki by the members.

“So...is Ennie next?” Rapmon called out.

“Who, what, where, what? Who? Who is Ennie? Ennie ain’t here! Back away!” she tried to avoid her fate but got picked up and dropped into the tub by Taehyung, Rapmon and J-hope. “Nice...”

“Jimin is already in the tub. Now Yunki and Ennie got soaked, too.” J-Hope shot a thumbs up to the camera. “Great!”

“Is V coming in too?” Jimin called out. “Hurry! Grab him!”

“Way ahead of ya!” Jennie grabbed ahold of him with the members before he had the chance to escape and pushed him in while laughing.

Their last shot was a lipsync shot with a black background. The members were sleepy but eager to go home after this as they were filmed looking sad. The majority of everyone had gone home after filming but Jennie decided to stay with V because he had one more scene. Laying his back on the platform, he began to complain.

“Gosh, this is awful. There’s the last scene where I have to go in the water. I thought everyone would wait for me but thankfully at least Ennie is here for support.” he said on camera. “I’m really happy that she’s here. She’s the best.”

Jennie decided to stay because she wanted to support him and see him in action. He was so disappointed when the rest of the members had left but as soon as she told him that she would stay and wait for him, his mood heightened and she never saw him smile so wide. 

She watched as he had fallen back into the water without hesitation as the staff was impressed with his acting. Jennie had found Jimin and Jungkook also waiting for V as they stood with each other.

“I know he must be shivering,” Jimin spoke.

“Definitely. I feel for him,” she responded.

“His shoulders got wider.”

“He’s buffed up.” Jungkook noticed.

“He is so amazing. Look at him.” Jen admired his acting. It looked effortless to him.

As V proceeded to act in the water, the water scenes intrigued Jennie and she asked if she could film with him for fun.

“I was watching New Moon a while ago and I remember that scene when Bella had jumped and seen Edward. Can we recreate that scene for shiz and giggles? I know V wants to go home but...please?” she had asked.

“Let’s do it! Get in!” V beamed. He enjoyed these small moments with his best friend. 

Standing on the platform, she stretched. “I bet this water is cold as heck.”

She jumped in and saw V waving at her. Making sure they breathed in some air, they dive back into the water. Sinking, V had slowly turned to look at her as she slowly started sinking, looking back.

“Jennie, turn diagonally.” The director said as she turned around gracefully.

When they both came back up, she wrapped her arms around his neck, shivering with him as he held her waist. 

“When it’s cold outside~, I’ve got the month of May!” she fake cried. "Why couldn't the water be warm!?"

Once they got out, they were wrapped in blankets and heat packets. 

“I have no regrets. That was fun. Thanks to everyone, you’ve worked hard.” she grinned at the camera.

In Jen’s studio, Jennie and Jungkook were sitting with each other, finishing up their final homework question. Once they were done, Jen did some finishing touches on an upcoming cover while Jungkook took her phone to hack her Instagram. 

Taking a goofy selfie, he posts with the caption, ‘Hello ARMY! #JK #Hacked’

It was normal for the members to take her phone and post ‘hacked’ photos of themselves. ARMY was waiting for Jungkook to finally do it again since it had been a while. Normally it would be Taehyung and Jimin to hack her Instagram the most. 

Jungkook scrolled through her timeline and saw that Bam Bam had posted her as his Woman Crush Wednesday. 

‘Here we go...’ he grumbled to himself.

“Whatcha looking at? Hacking again?” she called out after finishing singing.

“Bam Bam posted you as his Woman Crush Wednesday,” he responded apathetically.

“Haha, cute.”

“Do you...like him?” 

“Define like.”

“Would you date him?” he boldly asked. 

The curiosity got the better of him. He had to know.

“Well, anything can happen. If he says and does the right things that can sweep me off my feet, I’d totally fall for him. As of right now, I have no feelings. We are just great friends.”

“Good.”

“Good?” she laughed as he realized he said that out loud, looking surprised. “Oh, okay, hahah. You don’t want me to date him?”

“I just...think there is someone else out there for you.”

“Mm hm. Okay. I trust your judgment.”

Back at the dorm, while Jen stayed in her studio, Jungkook went on a rant to Jimin and Taehyung about Bam Bam. 

“Did you know that Bam Bam has been posting Jennie as his Woman Crush Wednesday? How annoying is that? She’s supposed to be mine.”

“She’s yours?” Yoongi walked into the kitchen, grabbing a drink from the fridge. “Pshhh, you haven’t even gone to first base yet.”

Jungkook’s face heated up at the sudden shade. “Hyung!”

“Hey!” Jimin yelled. “We’re working on it! Things take time! And no, we didn’t know. Ennie is the only one with an Instagram, we haven’t been hacking her page in a while.”

“Don’t panic. Things should be fine because he still has his dating ban.” Taehyung added.

“Well, that’s not stopping him from making moves on her,” Jungkook grumbled.

“Jealous?” Yoongi asked, raising a brow.

“Yeah, I am! I admit it! I’m jealous!” he snapped, causing Jimin and Taehyung to snicker at his reaction.

“Calm down, kid...”

“Wait a minute...how do you know he likes her?” Jimin called out

“Come on...” the rapper shook his head. “The kid makes it painfully obvious. It’s ridiculous.”

Back to Jennie, her phone rang and she answered Angelina’s facetime call. “Hi!”

“Jennie! My flight is already booked for Seoul, I’m finally coming to see ya!”

“FI-NAL-LY!”

“You really didn’t have to pay for the ticket, I could’ve paid though!”

“Well, get used to it because I’ll be treating you to a lot of stuff once you arrive in Seoul. Can’t wait for you to hang with me. You’ll get to see everything about my comeback as well.”

“Niiiice."

“So...are you excited to see me or are you excited to see Namjoon?”

“Namjoon!”

“Ahh!” Jen caught her.

“I meant you!” she laughed

“Uh-uh. Okay.”

“Is he excited to see me?”

“Of course he is.”

“I bet he’s cuter in person.”

“Jesus take the wheel...”

When Jennie arrived back at the dorm after a few hours, she was aware that the guys would be celebrating their success in filming the comeback with drinks but apparently, they celebrated too hard because as soon as she walked into the dorm, everyone except for Jungkook was drunk.

“Yo...what the hell?” she called out.

“Jennieeeeee! You’re baaaaaack!” Jimin stumbled up to her, wrapping his arms around her for a tight hug.

“You stink.” she gently pushed him away, not liking the smell of alcohol. “How much did you drink? I wasn’t even gone that long!”

“We were just celebrating~!” he slurred.

“Too much, I see.” she turned to Jungkook who was walking out of his room. “Jungkook! Do you see this mess?” she gestured to the drunken members

Jungkook looked shooked and it seemed like it was the first time he had come out of his room since he arrived back at the dorm, surprised to see his hyungs like this. Some were giggling, lying around, and more hyper than usual.

“Wait, what happened?” the Golden Maknae looked around.

“What do you mean what happened!? You didn’t know they were in this state?”

“I was gaming!” he exclaimed

“Wow! Wow! Help me tame this chaos.” 

She went straight to Jimin, helping him sit on the couch. It was short lived because Jimin couldn’t sit straight and laid his body across the couch, a giggling mess with Taehyung.

“My head is spinning.” Taehyung giggled.

Jen chuckled. “It’s like I’m taking care of grown babies, today. Jeez.”

“Well, at least none of them threw up,” Jungkook responded.

“Don’t jinx it,” she added, walking to the bathroom, only to find Yoongi taking a nap in the tub.

Laughing softly, she quickly snapped a photo. “This is ridiculous! Jungkook, can you come here for a sec?”

Seconds later, Jungkook walked in and laughed at the sight, which caused Yoongi to wake up and drunkenly wave with a gummy smile.

"I'm surprised he didn't get mad at us for disturbing his nap," Jungkook said.

"Must be a special occasion. All right, to bed, you go.” she got aid from Jungkook to lift him out of the tub.

“I got him,”

Suddenly, Yoongi dropped to his knees, causing the 97 Liners to look with alarm, and then watched him crawl to the toilet and hurl.

“Jesus...” Jen cringed while kneeling to rub his back.

“Handle the others. I’ll take care of him.” Jungkook said. Once Jennie had left, Jungkook cleaned Yoongi up and began to giggle when he heard him drunk rapping. “Hyung, are you rapping while drunk? What are we going to do with you?”

With Jennie, she went straight to Hobi and Taehyung who were together at a table, with their heads down and empty bottles.

“All right, time to go to bed.” she placed a hand on Tae’s back, causing him to look up.

“I chalgeenlwd hyung to ga drinkivng conteast.” He slurred.

“You challenged Hobi to a drinking contest?” she translated his gibberish. “You’re a lightweight! You both are lightweights! You can’t handle the hard stuff, why did you agree to a drinking contest when you’re a lightweight?” she scolded with a laugh.

When he responded, she couldn’t understand his gibberish anymore. 

“What? I have no idea what you just said.”

After walking him to the bathroom, she grabbed his toothbrush and prepared to brush his teeth.

“Am I cute to you?” Taehyung suddenly asked.

“Yes, you’re adorable. Now let’s brush your teeth.” she held him steady and thoroughly brushed his teeth for him. After a while, she caught him staring at her. “What?” she removed the toothbrush from his mouth.

“You really do scrunch your nose cutely like he said, hehe,” he spoke with his mouth filled with the toothpaste foam.

She managed to comprehend what he said and asked, “Who said that?” while helping him rinse out his mouth.

“Your boyfrieeeeeend.”

She looked at him in confusion. “I don’t have a boyfriend.”

“Not yeeeeet!”

“So, what you’re my fortune teller, now?” she teased and walked him to his bed.

“Kinda! You just don’t know that you’re his yet~! Hehehe but you will soon.”

“Oh really?” she played along, deciding to entertain his goofy banter that she assumed. “Go to sleep, Tae Tae, you’re drunk.”

“I’m serious~!” he whined.

“Good night, Tae Tae.” she kissed his forehead and placed a blanket over him. “Keep drinking that water.”

When she headed back to the living room, she went to Jimin while Jungkook had already taken care of Hobi and Namjoon and was now helping Jin. She was happy that he was sober and helped her because she knew she wouldn’t be able to do this all by herself. The Golden Maknae worked pretty fast to get the guys to bed and she was grateful.

“You know what I love?” Jimin slurred, clinging onto her as she helped him off the couch.

“What’s that?” she asked.

“Seeing Jungkookie so happy.”

“The feeling is mutual.”

“Yeah, he is always so happy when he is with you.”

“I’m glad that he is.”

“Don’t you think I’m adorable?”

She giggled. “Yeah, I do.”

“Don’t you think Jungkookie is handsome?”

“Hahaha, yeah, just like the rest of Bangtan.”

“Does he make you happy?”

“Yes, he does.”

“Did you know that you make him happy?”

“Oh really?” she smiled softly. “Glad to hear that.”

“I know someone that likes youuuuu~!”

“Haha, you are acting so random tonight. Well, I like to be liked.”

“Noooo it’s more than like. It’s love.”

“Love? Well, I like to be loved, too.”

“Not like this~ hehehehehe.”

“Okay, let’s get you into bed.”

“Do you want me to tell you who loves you?”

“Let me guess, you? I love you too, Chim. Now let’s get into bed.”

“Heheheh, you don’t get it. This love is really strong. Like, relationship type strong.”

“JenMin is still a thing, Jimin. You’re good.”

“No, it’s not meeeeeeee~!”

“Okay, then who?”

“He always talks about youuuuuu!”

“Whoever he is, I hope it’s positive.”

“Very! He really wants youuuuu.”

“Really, now?”

“Uh huh! He has been your secret admirer for a while now. He thinks you’re very pretty and always dreams about dating you. He alwaaaaaaaaaaays talks about wanting to kiss you and treat you so special. I hope you two dateeeeee. I’m trying to help himmmm.”

“Well, this is interesting news that someone wants me. You sure he’s legit?”

“Trust me Ennieeeeee, your secret admirer wants you more than you think. He is very legit. Like, GOLDEN Legit.”

Jungkook stared at Jimin in alarm and quickly made his way over.

“Whose mans is this that you’re talking about?” Jen asked.

“OKAY! Time for bed, hyung! I got him, Jennie.”

“Jennieeeeeeee!” she heard Taehyung call out for her, taking her attention off what Jimin had blurted out.

When she went to his room, she helped Taehyung with whatever he needed which was more water and then a bedtime story. After that, she checked on Namjoon because he was feeling nauseous and spoke about his regrets for partying too hard from a psychological perspective that made her think deeply about life. 

Exhausted from checking on all the members, she went into her room, but her night was far from over because the sight she saw in her room, caused her to scream, “What the actual-what the fuck!? Who threw up on my Nikes!? Are you kidding me!?” 

Somebody was about to get their ass kicked tonight. 

She rushed over to her ruined shoes. “No-no-no-no-no-no-no please, not the purple and white ones. My orange ones too? And the red ones!?”

Jungkook quickly rushed in, surprised by her screaming. “What happened!?”

“They threw up on my Nikes!” she shouted as he flinched at her yelling. 

As soon as he saw her beginning to tear up from anger and sadness, he frowned. Sure, they were just shoes but to her, they meant much more, as he watched her pace around and angrily vent her frustrations.

“Oh my God, man! WHY!? This is so friggin unfair!” she stormed out of the room.

Jungkook began to panic. All his hyungs were drunk and now an angry Jennie was on the loose.

“Aish...why me? Why hyungs, why?” he murmured

Jennie had periodically wiped angry tears from her eyes after cleaning up the entire dorm with Jungkook. It was late and she should’ve gone to sleep but she stayed up to check on the members despite her frustration.

“I need some Jhene Aiko to calm my ass down...” she grumbled and grabbed her phone, connecting it to a tiny portable speaker that was sitting in the living room.

“A-actually, can I pick a song?” Jungkook called out.

“Sure. Be my guest.”

“I’m sorry about your Nikes.” He smiled sadly as he went over to the speaker.

“It’s fine...”

“I know you’re still upset but I think I know a way to make you feel better.”

“What?”

“Let’s dance,”

“Dance? Seriously?”

“Yeah, why not?”

“I’m not really in the dancing mood, Kook. I just witnessed part of my Nike collection ruined by vomit. Dancing is the last thing on my mind.” she turned her back to him, straightening things up on the couch.

“This song will change your mind. It’ll make you feel better. Trust me.”

When he put on IU and HIGH4’s Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms, Jennie turned around.

He grinned mischievously, “You know this is your favorite song by her. Something to cheer you up.”

“I see a smile trying to appear on your face~.” he teased as she looked away.

Once she heard him sing, her attention was back on him as she watched him walking slowly to her, “Son jabgo georeul saram. Hana eobsneun naege. Dalkomhan bombarami neomuhae.”

He extended out his hand. “Milady?”

Breaking out into a smile, she took his hand and he spun her around. Pulling her to him, they slowly danced around to the song as she started to loosen up.

“Bom sarang beojkkoch malgo.” she sang.

“Bom sarang beojkkoch malgo.” he sang back

As they continued to dance, he ended up dipping her, making her giggle. After releasing each other, they resumed dancing and singing together around the dorm, grabbing random items to use as microphones. 

Once he hugged her from behind, she laughed and wrapped her arms around his, as her heart felt weird again. It felt full of something that she couldn’t understand. Despite the weird feeling, she felt happy in his arms.

“Feeling better?” he asked as the song ended.

“Much better. Thank you, for this.” she felt herself getting released.

“I guess we should start heading to bed.”

“I’ll sleep in a few. Let me finish the last of these dishes and I want to make sure the guys are safe while they sleep. I don't want them to throw up and choke or something. I’ll sleep soon.”

Later that night, Jungkook was still awake in his room, listening to music and playing games on his phone since he wasn’t sleepy yet.

Jungkook let out a chuckle at the lyrics. Ironic how it came on while he thought about her. 

It really was the longest crush ever.

Getting out of bed, he wandered around the dorm to check on the members, making sure they were fine before he went to sleep. But once he went to Jen’s room, he noticed that she wasn’t in there.

‘Don’t tell me...’ he thought and made his way to the living room, to find her asleep on the couch. 

The angle looked uncomfortable and he picked her up, bridal style.

“What time is it?” she asked tiredly.

“Time to get you in bed. I thought you were going to sleep after you checked on them?”

“I did. I still wanted to stay up to continue watching over them. Are the guys safe?”

“I checked on them, they’re fine. Go to sleep, baby girl.” he gently laid her down on her bed and put covers on her.

Half asleep, she dozed off, mumbling a “Thank you for helping me tonight.”

In the morning, remembering the Nike situation, she was still pissed at the guys. Despite being upset, she still loved them and decided to make breakfast and prepare water and aspirin for them. Once everyone was awake and ate with her, she ignored them and left to go hang with GFriend after finishing her plate.

“All right, what is wrong with her?” Yoongi asked

“Well, you guys threw up around the dorm and she and I had to clean it up,” Jungkook answered.

“Damn...”

“That’s not the worst part.”

“How can it be worse than that?”

“Someone threw up on some of her Nike sneakers.”

The members froze and glanced at each other anxiously as various reactions of curses were heard.

“Shit.”

“Fuck.”

“Crap.”

“Damn.”

“Oh, God...”

“Oh dear...”

“Jin did it!” Jimin shouted.

“I did no such thing!” Jin yelled, widening his eyes at the accusation.

“Ah, not so loud, my head!” Namjoon rubbed his temples.

“Then who did it!?” Taehyung yelled.

“HEY!” Jungkook shouted, making them flinch at the loud noise. “I don’t care who threw up on the sneakers. Each one of you should buy her a new pair and clean her shoes,”

“That seems fair,” Hobi spoke up.

“And you.” Jungkook turned to Jimin, frowning. “You almost ruined everything.”

“Me? What? How?” Jimin exclaimed

“You almost blabbed out my feelings for her!”

“Wha? Oh no, what did I say? I’m sorry!” he grinned sheepishly.

“You said quite enough...and you just had to say, Golden. You’re going to give her ideas if you keep that up.”

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Look Tae and I have a plan. Christmas will be coming up in a few months. Why not try a mistletoe kiss?”

“Why not let it go naturally, instead?” Namjoon spoke up. “Don’t force it.”

“Why don’t you just tell her your feelings, right now?” Yoongi asked.

“Don’t do that. Jennie is in a foul mood. Not a wise idea.” the leader advised.

“I actually think the mistletoe kiss is a cute idea.” Hobi smiled

“Wait a minute, how do you all know that Jungkookie loves our Ennie? Did you tell them?” Jimin asked Yoongi after watching them talk.

“Like I said, the kid makes it painfully obvious.” Yoongi shrugged.

“If there is a mistletoe kiss, just make sure it’s only for a few seconds. They’re still too young in my eyes.” Jin added

“No way! I want my ship to sail!” Jimin exclaimed.

“Keep it rated G in this dorm!” he demanded, causing Jimin to roll his eyes and pout.

Watching the members discuss JenKook, Jungkook cleared his throat to get their attention, “Do you all...approve?” he nervously asked.

Hobi chuckled softly. “The both of you already act like a couple anyway,"

“Might as well add the kissing and future dates.” Yoongi agreed.

“I’m just...a little sad. You two are growing up a little too fast for me. But it’s undeniable to see your love for her.” Jin smiled. “You two seem happier when together. It is adorable.”

“Let’s all just make sure that Jungkook is the one to tell her. That means no more almost blabbing out the big secret, Jimin.” Namjoon added.

“I said I was sorry!” Jimin exclaimed, burying his face in his hands.

"It's okay, Jimin," Jungkook reassured him.

“When are you going to tell her?” Yoongi turned to Jungkook.

“Honestly, wait until after these events are over. We have a lot of work with the comeback and the end of the year shows. After these busy days, tell her. We’ll make sure not to interrupt you two when you’re alone with her.” Namjoon suggested.

The members went Nike sneaker shopping for Jennie and split up into groups. Jungkook went with Namjoon, browsing around for the shoes.

“Out of all the girls, I’m happy you want her. Nothing will change when you two date.” Namjoon spoke, catching Jungkook’s attention.

“You’re not mad?”

“About what?”

“Falling for her? You don’t think it’s a distraction?”

“If anything, I see the both of you as each other’s motivation. I never saw it as a distraction. Bang PD wouldn’t think so either.”

“He knows too?”

“The whole company knows, Jungkook.” Namjoon chuckled.

“Aish...Jimin and Taehyung with their big mouths.”

“Oh, it wasn’t them. It was you.”

“But I never said anything to anyone.”

“Your actions gave it away.” he placed a hand on his shoulder. “If there was any man I’d want our Miss Bangtan to be with, it would be you. I see your maturity grow when it comes to her. When you are around her, you act more like yourself than you act with other girls. She keeps you grounded. I also love how patient she is with you. All of us, really. It’s not easy living with seven men but she manages to keep us all in check. She takes care of us. Can’t take that for granted.”

Jungkook smiled and nodded at his words. “Do you think she’ll love me back?”

“I want you to see it for yourself. Pay attention to how she acts around you. Both of you will be lucky to have each other. Jennie is a dime. When you have her, don’t let her go.”

Remembering Akira Toriyama

On March 1st, 2024, legendary mangaka Akira Toriyama passed away due to acute subdural hematoma. He was just sixty-eight years old. His most famous creation, Dragon Ball, has had a profound effect on the anime and manga industry as a whole. Without it, we wouldn't have had series such as Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, One Piece, or many others. On top of how inspirational as a series Dragon Ball has been, it's shaped the childhoods of many kids all over the world, me being one such kid.

Toriyama is one of the few famous deaths that has actually brought me to tears, the only others being Satoshi Kon and Satoru Iwata. Losing Toriyama, for me, was such a sudden and devastating revelation and if I had never gotten into Dragon Ball Z when I was a kid, I don't know if I ever would have become an artist or writer. While I have had many inspirations for becoming an artist/writer, such as Yoshihiro Togashi, creator of Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter, Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto, and Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, it was Toriyama and Dragon Ball which really helped to show me the path I wanted my life to go on. While writing Dragon's World, I've gotten comments from readers who've told me that there were moments where they were reminded of Dragon Ball and with Dragon Ball being one of, if not my biggest inspiration for becoming both a writer and an artist, those comments, to me, are not just some of my favorites that I've ever received, I find them to be some of the highest praise I've gotten.

Alongside Dragon Ball, Toriyama's other works such as Sand Land, which has both a game and an anime series coming out, and Dr. Slump show just how funny and imaginative Toriyama was. His paneling was always so clean and any action scenes were always easy to read and his characters, while not always the deepest, were always full of life and made the series they starred in so much fun to read.

Like many other kids who grew up on DBZ, I also tried on so many occasions to do a Kamehameha or go Super Saiyan. I remember when I saw the episode where Gohan was teaching Videl how to fly and she was focusing her energy into her palms, I tried to do the same, thinking it would help me to fly, too. When a new VHS (yes, we are going back that far) and later, DVD of DBZ would be released, I would beg my grandma or my mom to buy it for me. The same way true for when new Dragon Ball Z action figures would come out. I had to have them all, and I think I actually did have most of them. Then, at fifteen, I sold them because I thought, "I'm going into high school. I need to be a big boy and big boys don't have toys". Heh. Funny how well that thought process aged. Especially since now, I'm trying to find those same figures from my childhood so I can buy them again.

I would often recreate the fights and adventures Goku and his friends went on with these figures I bought, and sometimes, I would make up my own stories. One that I can always immediately recall was Goku and the gang fighting a group that used a seal similar to The Seal of Orichalcos from Yu-Gi-Oh! (also, RIP to Takahashi-senpai) and just like the Seal of Orichalcos, whoever lost that fight would lose their soul, too. Granted, the stories I came up with back then weren't good (I mean, they came from the mind of a little kid, so please be a bit gentle on me), but when you're an Elementary schooler/early middle schooler, they feel like something incredible. It's like you're getting to contribute to this world you've come to know and love and yet, you're the only one who truly knows about said contribution. In a way, it's a really special feeling.

Call me a weeb if you want for saying this, but to me, Toriyama wasn't just another creator. He wasn't just another storyteller. He was my sensei. He was my biggest inspiration and the person who got me to realize where I wanted my life to go. That I wanted to be a writer and an artist. That I had stories I wanted to share with others. Toriyama was someone I always wanted to meet and, I guess now I'll have to wait until I get to Other World myself to get that chance.

Thank you for everything, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for showing me who I was meant to be. Thank you for Dragon Ball and for allowing it to be such a staple of my childhood. I'll be hoping your family is doing well and are remaining strong in these times. May you rest in peace.

6. What's the last line you wrote?

Technically the last things I wrote for the previous two months are all for zines that aren't fully out yet fsdkjhkjf so technically my last pubic line was this.

It falls quiet before Goro adds. “You also promised you wouldn’t leave.” Ren stares. “As far as I’m concerned your word means nothing to me.”

22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

I agonize over titles, both for my chapters and for fics at large. I want the chapters to have their own individual identity and tell the reader more or less what to expect. So if my brain cannot come up with anything I will look to my favorite shows or animes for inspiration. For example, "You are My Friend" chapter 22, is a reference to a Naruto Opening Song. Chapter 27 (too lazy to check) "Thanks I hate it here" was me being frustrated over the Okumura arc lmfaooo. And I came up with "A Tale of Two Tricksters" when originally it was supposed to be just "Trickster Games" until I thought to myself "It's not really a game...it's more of a tale..." and that's how that title was born.

One of my zine fics "No Rest for the Wicked" is the title of the finale of season 3 of Supernatural :3 I always pick titles during the outlining stage and adjust as needed before publishing. If it doesn't stand out, tell the reader what the chapter is about or just sounds good to say (Shout out to How to Trick a Trickster) then I don't want it as a title :3

62. In A Tale of Two Tricksters, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

I'll have to give it to Chapter 49 and this scene is shown in this comic right here. I love Cognitive Akechi, I love love love what he represents and his dynamic with Goro.

The entire of chapter 49 was just such a roller coster and it had all my favorite things. Drama, FutaGo Sibling pain, RyuGoro interactions, a chase sequence and Cognitive Akechi acting like john wick lmfao. I'm not kidding i went to see the new john wick movie for inspiration on how to write Cognitive Akechi going after Futaba lmao.

Also my favorite disses all come from cognitive Akechi.

Like when he got ran over, THIS is what he comes back and tells Futaba.

"“Cute. Got that idea from Mother, did we?”"

Not to mention the above comic and what he says to Ryuji.

"“Pinched a nerve did I? Which parent never loved you?”"

Like what is wrong with him. Anyways Cog Akechi was short-lived but man oh man, did i love writing him. I love reading about him. He brainrots me hard.

Hello, sorry for my bad English translation. I wanted to ask if you could make a long post on what made you like Boruto x Sumire, like when did you start liking and what are your favorite moments. I'm also a huge fan of Bsu so it would be nice to hear from another fan what made them like it. Thanks in advance.

I won't be making a long post, but what made me start liking Sumire, aesthetically liked how she looked at the start and soon after it shows her worrying about her classmates and that she doesn't like fighting. Another to note is that why she isn't very outspoken she still became class rep and is quite serious about it and her responsibilities. Overall she is just the kind of character you have no reason to dislike and only gives reasons to like her. She also remined me a lot of Hinata in different ways so a lot of traits I liked Hinata for she also has.

She then has also been shown to be attentive like noting how Boruto seemed to be striving to make a name for himself outside of being the Hokage's son. This show she can be really sympatric she instantly noticed a big character trait of Boruto's that not many people pick on let alone that quickly. Since the Boruto movie Boruto not wanting too live in Naruto's shadow has been a big part of his character so Sumire picking up on that goes a long way and shows she really pays attention and tries to understand others.

Also how others teased her concern for Boruto was cute and the thought of them being a couple just seemed worked that I could imagine a lot of cute and wholesome moments between the two.

Then however it reveals that her character is lot more complicated as her background and hidden side is revealed. We find out she had a harsh upbringing and lost her mother which only makes you emphasise with her, her father being a former root and raising her for revenge and treating her as a weapon. From a story prospective it was well down the character arc for Sumire was one of the best and really flushed out new sides to her character, yet kept true to who she has been shown to be at the academy, but also having conflict between the two sides.

You then have the whole interactions between her and Boruto and how he saves her she really pulled off the heroine role in that arc. It was just hard to not ship them together after that. That will forever remain one of my favourite moments in Boruto it was just pulled off so well and so emotional.

Another point though is that Sumire was secretly a badass even before she became a genin she was outdoing veteran ninja. Her actual skill level would have easily put her in the top three of their year. Then Nue has so much potential that I can imagine a lot of ways for Sumire to develop more and become even stronger. I found the whole concept behind Nue interesting and wish we saw more of him.

You then have when she shows up in the manga she ends up showing how well she understands Boruto again, she helps him get over his misgivings of scientific ninja tools. She really picked Boruto up and it reminded me of Hinata's proud failure speech. Also though in the anime it goes into depth of why she joined the scientific ninja team and what influenced her everything just came together.

Not much more I can say overall I just found myself liking her cause her arc and development was so satisfying while also having no reason to personally dislike her character.

Honestly, my movie/show tastes are kind of everywhere, Mostly old Disney movies, Nickelodeon shows (iCarly, Victorious), True Crime Documentaries, and cheesy Romcoms...yeah...

Same with my book tastes: I'm sort of addicted and I read anything honestly. Some favorites: Looking for Alaska and Our Fault in the Stars, John Green. Hoot and Chomp by Carl Hiaasen. The Little House Series, Laura Ingalls Wilder. The Secret Garden, Frances Hodgson Burnett. The Maze Runner, James Dashner. The Tower, Gregg Andrew Hurwitz. Any Goosebumps book, R. L. Stine.

And a bunch of manga, One Piece, Naruto, Haikyuu, Sword Art Online, Death Note, etc., ect.

My dad and mum basically had me on accident since they were both in the military, they got dumpy one night and hooked up, and my mums parents were super traditional, so they pressured her into getting married once they found out she was pregnant. My parents basically divorced when I was nine, and they did split custody.

My mum was having issues with alcohol and smoking and my dad had issues with smoking/drinking and adult content.

Then my dad got remarried, but my mum was still recovering so she stayed with my grandmother a bit before getting her own apartment.

The woman my dad was an immigrant from Portugal, she already had one kid from a past marriage, then she came to live with my dad.

They stayed married for four years, and he had two more kids with her, and then they divorced because my dad was being super toxic and she moved in with her family in San Francisco.

He got diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder and borderline personality after being evaluated by a psych ward for the case, and basically my mum got full custody of me and my two half-siblings and stepsibling live with my stepmom in San Fran. (Fifteen at the time.)

My mum eventually got remarried to this Navy Seal named (not gonna say his real name because pretty sure that stuffs supposed to be classified so lets call him Bob) when I was in sophomore year and he was okay. But the ended baby up being born with birth defects since she was pregnant during Bobs deployment and was smoking and stuff when he wasn't there.

Plus I still haven't come out of the closet to my parents. My grandparents on my mums side are staunch Catholics...and my dads side is estranged...My mums Catholic, and Bob converted to Catholicism too.
