in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.

It's been talked about to death and back but. JSchlatt joining the DSMP, only ever logging on for lore purposes, playing a fan fucking tastic villain that was an absolute joy to watch on screen, equal parts menacing/intimidating and goofy, completely stealing the show and perfectly matching the silly-but-serious energy of the lore up to that point, doing that for 1 season that I still think is one of the most impossibly coherent and thematically powerful pieces of roleplay media to date, and then having his character die after he'd run his course and never logging on again. was completely fucking legendary. He knew exactly what he needed to do and he did it flawlessly then left.

#i will never not be in awe of how perfectly he could switch on a dime from being ridiculous and taking about quackitys ass #to making the audience believe that he knew so much more than we thought. making us doubt whether EVERYONE except Tommy was working for him #in a second. like i cant express the PRESENCE he had when we were all watching this series live for the first time.#It caught us off guard. youd be laughing along & then hed switch up and youd go Oh. i never posted these Ben AU drawings here and i've seen a few asks wondering about it so... here's a little synopsis i wrote for myself as a potential description later when I post it (because i don't wanna spoil it):

"There's a new boy in Damian's class. He's charming, if it bit awkward. He's just as clever as he is smart mouthed, and he's popular with their classmates. What's worse is that Benjamin Fitzpatrick lives next door in the old Drake Manor and Damian's family are convinced that Ben could be a good friend of his one day. Like that would ever happen.

Luckily for Damian, they're all more focused on the fact that there are two new vigilantes in Gotham acting like they own the place.

Unluckily, everything goes to shit when Ben starts acting strange and sickly, Spider-Man disappears just when they were getting close to him, and Damian learns that Ben's real name might not actually be Ben. Did he mention that Ben might be his older brother's clone?"
